Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space. Happy Valley is situated in the heart of the Normandy countryside at the end of a no-through road so no noisy passing traffic! It shares the site with our main home and 2 other gites. We're about 45 minutes from Mont St Michel; an hour from Bayeaux, Caen, Mayenne and Fougeres. It's another half an hour to the famous D-Day beaches. There are plenty of places to visit and things to do and of course lots of French markets and vide-greniers!

Norman Cottage in the heart of the Vire Valley

Formerly a baronial residence, this recently renovated house is waiting for you. Dating back to the 18th century, this house was well known throughout the village, and even today, many locals remember spending time there. The renovation focused on highlighting natural materials (wood, stone) while adding a modern touch. Strategically located halfway between Mont Saint-Michel and the D-Day landing beaches, we will be delighted to provide you with advice during your stay.

The remote house sits alone in the hills with no neighbors and has a garden with cherry, apple and walnut trees. Explore the lush green grasslands and charming French hamlets right from the driveway. The house is within easy reach of the Normandy beaches, national parks, castles and medieval cities. A basic retreat for lovers of nature and peace.

However, please be aware that the site is not connected to water and electricity networks, so you will need to be mindful of your energy consumption during your stay.

Vous aurez accès à la quasi-totalité de la maison ainsi qu’à son magnifique jardin d’un hectare, arboré et au calme, idéal pour les amoureux de la nature.

A renovated old cider barn, with plenty of original character beams. A cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen are found on the ground floor. Access to the first floor is up a spiral stair case, leading to a large open bedroom and bathroom, plus a separate Sipper bath located on a small mezzanine.
