Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Saint Matthews

We had a great stay at the Shantyboathouse! The place is amazing and just how it was described. Colin provided all the instructions we needed to access the place and also offered plenty of recommendations! There was even a basket filled with a bottle of wine and lots of snacks, which was such a cool addition. Every place we went to was within walking distance, which made it super simple to get everywhere, especially after partaking in some bourbon! We highly recommend Colin's place to anyone visiting Louisville. You won't regret it!

This was one of my favorite Air BNB stays to date. The cottage was so incredibly beautiful. It was super well stocked, clean, and there was a great amount of information about the property. We will definitely be back.

From the spot on communication pre-arrival to the waiting hospitality basket to the immaculate and tastefully decorated home to the prompt replies to texts and emails during our stay, I can't say enough about the excellent experience we had from start to finish. We had lots of family to visit so we often were gone most of the day but returning in the evenings for a quiet moment on the beautiful front porch or backyard was heaven! Thank you John. We felt like we were your one and only guests, ever! We hope to return soon.

We had a great stay! This was truly one of the cleanest AirBnBs we've ever stayed in. It's in a great area of the city, very walkable with lots of great spots to explore. The caretaker, Mindy, is incredible. She's super helpful and obviously cares a lot about the property. We loved the chickens 😊

Great place to stay- the apartment feels really new and is in a modern and clean building. The apartment itself is large, has a nice kitchen and nice layout (bedrooms are not connected). The area is beautiful and you are steps away from a wonderful walk/hike/run at the Falls of the Ohio state park. All amenities are there. The bathroom could’ve been a bit cleaner - I think this was a short oversight as the rest of the house was very clean and tidy.

We loved our stay. Safe area considering being downtown Louisville. A lot of things to do in the area. We were 15 min to Churchill Downs. A must see! Also, tons of food in the area. The apartment was very clean, and very comfortable. Plenty of room for family’s & or 3 couples. The old church gives the apartment a very cool look. Definitely would stay here again. The host was great!

Great location. Nicely laid out apartment. Though we didn’t use it much, the kitchen was well stocked; most spices and even some food. They supplied a bottle of wine and some water bottles which was nice. Plenty of towels, wash clothes, shampoo, etc in the bathroom. Nice closet, comfortable bed. Comfortable furniture in the living area, lamps (not just overhead lights, which is a pet peeve). Ashley was very responsive the few times we reached out, and checked in with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying our stay or if we needed anything. I was a little confused by the Key Cafe which is how you get your key at check in, but probably because I was unfamiliar with it. There is an app which goes with it, but they also supply a code which is easier to use. The building where the apartment is located is very upscale and welcoming. There’s an honor bar for snacks and drinks, a number of businesses in the building, and a pizza place / micro brewery at one end of the building.

What a wonderful and extremely enjoyable stay. I couldn’t have picked a better Airbnb for my stay in Louisville. Everything I needed was right there for me. The rental unit was spotless and equipped with anything and everything I required. Highly recommend experiencing what Morgan has to offer in this quiet and peaceful rental. Won’t disappoint.

The apartment was perfect for us. It was a beautiful and perfect place to stay. I'd definitely recommend to anyone and we would stay there again without hesitation.

great stay at Krystian’s place. plenty of space and super convenient to anywhere in downtown Louisville. really liked having a driveway and didn’t have to rely on street parking. would stay again!

We had a great stay and the unit was exactly as described. Not having been to Louisville before, I tried finding something downtown that was walkable to lots of places. Turns out we needed to drive most places anyway, which made the parking garage less worth the hassle. But that's no reflection on this place. It was clean and adorable and made for a very pleasant stay!

Brandon and his team were hugely communicative via text, which is actually my preference, and I appreciated his assistant really helping me out w a specific ask that I had, Kayla went above and beyond, big kudos to her!!! Would *absolutely* stay there again if I ever make it back to the Derby!

We enjoyed this roomy and comfortable place surrounded by trees and nature. Check-in was a breeze and we found everything we needed to have a pleasant stay.

This place was fantastic for our small group’s trip to Louisville! It’s one of those places that is apart of the trip, somewhere you look forward to being back at, and not just a place to crash at the end of the day. There’s so much to do here, big props to Rachel and her co-hosts for creating such a great place to stay, would definitely stay here again!

We throughly enjoyed our stay. We arrived in town a little early and we were very thankful that we were able to check in early. I would definitely recommend the property. We saw a lot of turkeys and one deer.

What a wonderful property! The historic house was beautiful. The house is spacious, clean and just great for all ages. The grounds are beautiful. Lots to do outside! Not one, but three play sets for the kids! Yard games for the adults. Lots of wood for a campfire! Tim & his wife are very friendly, kind caring folks! They have put a lot of thought into the amenities of this rental. We all had a great time & will definitely return!!

“If my words did glow with the gold of sunshine”…The Ripple Inn was an awesome cabin with a lot of the amenities of home. That comes in handy when traveling with a little one. Upon arrival check in was super easy, the place was clean, and the hot tub was ready for use. Cell service was spotty but wifi solved that problem. Gas and charcoal grills for outdoor cooking options. Great view pretty much surrounding the property. Host was responsive and very descriptive with directions, check in/out instructions, as well as with suggestions of things to do locally. “Reach out your hand, if your cup be empty” and fill it with some of the sweet nectar being made at one of the near by distilleries.

Our sales team has stayed at almost every air bnb in this area. This is simply the best. The cabin is so great we even brought our family’s down from Indy so they could check this place out. From the fire pit, hiking trail, multiple entertainment rooms, hot tub, game room ext this place has it all. Clean peaceful settiing but close to everything. The host are awesome. Host helped us start a fire one night. We became freinds and hung out with them later. They even have snacks when you walk in. Such a cool log cabin. Could comfortably sleep 8-10. Look forward to staying again. Thanks guys

We have stayed at many Air bnbs. This is by far one of our favorites. We have stayed in cabins in NY, TN, ME, MD, and PA. The description is as described. But the pictures dont do enough justice on the wonderful home. The privacy is great. Its so quiet. Just so peaceful. We traveled here on a family trip to support our niece in a national competition. We all had enough space without feeling crammed. Loved the porch to walk around and enjoy the scenery. The hot tub is a nice advantage as well to relax after the long car ride there. Julie was extremely responsive and proactive with communication. Julie thank you for allowing us to be in your beautiful home. You have a beautiful family as well. As a mom with 2 boys and 1 girl just like you. Thank you. We look forward to hopefully returning in the future.
