Pure Japanese style traditional House Entire house

This is one of the few remaining pure Japanese-style sho-inzukuri buildings in Hiroshima City, built 75 years ago, shortly after the war.One step from the main street, in a quiet environment, there is a small Japanese-style garden where you can relax. There are items in the Mai House that are only kept there, such as a vase that partially melted due to the heat from the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on 6 August 1945, and photographs from around 100 years ago. The fixtures and fittings and the glass date back more than 70 years, and the two gardens, the irigata (raised floor area) and the study, in particular, capture the atmosphere of a traditional Japanese house. At present, these items can only be obtained by placing an order with a select group of craftspeople. Of the five rooms, three are tatami-mat rooms; please sleep on the tatami mats with futons placed on top of them. Located in Minami-ku, Hiroshima City, and accessible by a single tram ride within the city. From the nearest station/tram stop ①, it takes approximately 20 minutes to reach Hiroshima Station. From the nearest station/tram stop ②, you can reach the Peace Memorial Park and the Atomic Bomb Dome, as well as the city centre, in around 20–30 minutes. The taxi journey takes around 10 minutes. There are a large shopping mall, Youme Town Hiroshima, which has everything you need for daily living, convenience stores (7-Eleven, FamilyMart), and eateries (okonomiyaki, ramen, sushi, yakiniku, waffles, bakery, etc.) within walking distance.

It is close to AkiNakano Station, which is 13 minutes from the JR Sanyo Line to Hiroshima Station.It is a 6-minute walk from Aki-Nakano Station to the inn.You can easily get to the Shinkansen and the airport shuttle bus.You can also leave your luggage after you arrive. It is close to the station, so it is easy to go to Peace Park, and Miyajima is 45 minutes by direct JR.From this inn, you can visit Kure, Okunoshima, Onomichi, Kurashiki, and Shinoura.There is also a free parking lot that can accommodate 2 cars. Kominka in Miyajima that warms the heart

Guest House Kokoro is located one block from Miyajima's Machiya-dori Street. 　When you pass through the warm curtain at the entrance, you are guided to the courtyard by stepping stones, with bamboo walls reminiscent of a Kyoto row house restaurant. The courtyard is also beautifully balanced with white marble and gravel, contributing to the calm atmosphere. There are glass doors in the living room that allow you to see the courtyard. 　The building is only for guests to stay in through the garden, so there is no need to worry about anyone. From the outside, it is an ordinary private house, but when you step inside, it has a different atmosphere, which is part of the charm of the inn. I heard that the previous owner has always loved gardening and had a wide range of hobbies. However, as I mentioned at the beginning, I didn't intend to start an inn at first, so there is no bath facility (there is a shower). However, you can use the nearby inns as an outdoor bath. The first floor is a living room, and the second floor is a two-room Japanese-style bedroom, and up to 6 people can stay comfortably. 　In the courtyard, there is a white stone character "kokoro" (heart) inscribed in the gravel. It was made by the gardener a long time ago for fun, and it is the origin of the name of the inn. He said he wants to welcome people with all his heart and help them relax and enjoy their stay.

Traditional Japanese wooden house near the Atomic Bomb Dome

This is a wooden house built around 1954 (Showa 29). This building has been lovingly used, preserving the atmosphere of that time. As the property has hardly been renovated, there may be some minor inconveniences, but I hope you will enjoy your time in Hiroshima and create memories while imagining what life was like in those days. You will have the entire building to yourselves. On the ground floor, there is a kitchen, a bathroom and a toilet.The other room is the landlord's storage space. The second floor is the guest bedroom. Guests can use the kitchen, so they can cook food they've bought from a nearby supermarket or other place. It's about a 10-minute walk to Heiwa Park, and there's a convenience store, supermarket and more nearby, so it's a very convenient location. Above all, I hope you enjoy the atmosphere of the building. I hope you enjoy this traditional Japanese building, which has been lovingly maintained.
