Putkola Cottage Finland

Find your peace in a classic Finnish cottage with a sauna in the immediate vicinity of Lake Kivenkänä in South Karelia. The cottage is electrified, service water must be carried from the lake, guests must bring their own drinking water. Dry toilet. Not far from the cottage is the Kyläkuppila Käpälämäki bar, where in addition to the classic offer of drinks and meals, you can also buy basic groceries, various consumer goods, and fishing permits. Various cultural evenings are often held here.

Our piece of land is located on Kaita Järvi– an about 8 km long and a few hundred meter wide lake – it is a small peninsula that looks to the south. That means: sun from morning to evening (if it shines). There right on the shore you find our log cabin, with sauna, bathroom, living room with open kitchen and two small bedrooms. A few meters next to it is a studio like guesthouse, the "Aita". It is also very cosy and comfortable, but provides no own bathroom. Village Savonranta is 5 km away.

The cabin is 100 meters from the lake with a sandy beach. A lot to do in the area: Beautiful nature trails, Lake Saima, International Opera Festival in July, Mediveal Castle, Museums...

The cottage has a kitchen; coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, stem vacuum cleaner, Sauna with summer water. Separate bedroom with Yankee bed. Sofa bed on the side of the cottage. New freezing toilet on the side of the dressing room. No mains. gas grill. Renovated floor, kitchen and terrace for the cottage in spring 2025.
