The Woodlands Centre is great for breakfast and lunch. Open from 1000 Mon-Sat and their home-baking is delicious. It's set in the Castle grounds so it's not a bad view while you sip your coffee!

Our most famous landmark. You can't visit the Island without going to see the standing stones. They are amazing and date even further back than Stonehenge.

If you're visiting Lewis it's definitely worthwhile taking a trip to the Isle of Harris (around 45mins drive from Stornoway). They're not separate islands although they're named like that, don't ask me why! Harris' landscape is very different to Lewis' and has some of the world's most beautiful beaches. Luskentyre is world famous and is a must-see.
