Stop by the Rapids if you enjoy nature. There are kayak rentals available (free kayaks are available with this rental) and several trails that go for miles. A must see for the scenery and photos alone. This is a popular location for weddings and photo sessions. Come place your lock 🔒 to show your eternal love ❤️ for your loved one.

Just a stroll away from the houseboat is this delicious Augusta restaurant which has been named Augusta’s best desserts for years (the hummingbird is my personal favorite). This restaurant also has a large selection of beer and some amazing sandwiches and soups (try the fried green tomato BLT and corn chowder soup if you want a good taste of the south).

This is one of my favorite spots when I want nature and don’t want to be around a crowd. Reed Creek Park is a small but beautiful nature center that is usually almost completely empty. They also have several interesting classes and you can reserve a private class for up to 10 people here for less than $40. Check out their website for events and free class offerings as well (my favorite was the bats and owls night class).
