As for other reviews, if you want brand new and perfect, stay at an overpriced hotel with the rest of the cattle. This is an apartment in an old house in a small town. Does the bathroom door stick? Yup. Is there some peeling paint? Sure. Should that ruin your stay? Absolutely not! Cozy place with plenty of room. Awesome coffee, fun board games, a cool brew pub you can walk to. We couldn’t ask for more. Had great pizza from La Roma’s. I really enjoyed my morning coffee on the balcony. Nice quiet neighborhood. We really enjoyed our stay!

Zach and Mallory were very attentive and their response time is quick. The inside is as advertised. The price cannot be beat. We will definitely consider this place again if we are in the area.

We loved everything about our little winter wonderland escape. It was perfect and even better than we expected in the cabin. It was clean, plenty of space for the kids to play and a perfect spot to hike and play in the snow!

Marina was quick to reply and very accommodating for our family! It’s a nice house that is clean, cozy, and just as pictured. The house is tucked perfectly into the woods where you are just enough isolated from other houses and roads, with the short hike as listed. The house is about a 15 min drive or less to some restaurants, gas stations, Walmart, and others stores. Normally in this area and surrounding towns cell phone service can be really spotty, luckily here we had some okay service (we have Verizon). But wasn’t a big deal since it’s a great place to spend quality time with family. House was perfect for our family and dog where we all felt comfortable and cozy during our stay.

This place was an amazing value for the price. The room was super clean. There was lots of space. And it was convenient to all of Rome. This is where we hope to stay again when we come back!

Really exceptional stay. We were visiting an elderly family member and the apartment was perfect for us - near our family, near a walking path, near food. A quiet and clean location. Just great.

John was a great host. He answered the numerous questions that I had and was very accommodating with my check in. Check in was also very easy and simple. The room was very clean with a very comfortable bed. I give it the highest recommendation.

A very quiet place. It offers a very clean, large apartment with very good parking.

I loved this suite. Very spacious, cozy and practical. The complex has everything you need, including WiFi, kitchen and laundry. Neighbors are nice, a lot of students. It is nice, calm and quiet. Walking/jogging around the place in the mornings is something you can do comfortably. You can walk to some places nearby (a cafe, gas station), but it is recommended to rent a car if you want to go out often. Ubers are not so common there. Door dash works, if you don’t feel like cooking. Overall I had a great experience for the entire Summer while I worked.

This was a great place to stay during my Clinical Rotation in Rome. Quiet place so I can get studying and internet. Can't really complain about anything!

This is a great option for a cheap, easy place with great access to everything! Mine was a short weekend stay, and it was excellent! Yakov is very communicative and was exceptionally accommodating of my super late check-in, which I greatly appreciated. Would definitely recommend!

I had a great stay at Yakov’s place! He was excellent at communicating very quickly when I had questions, and the room was more comfortable than I was expecting (it had its own AC unit). Definitely recommend if you’re in the Rome area!

Clean and comfortable, good for a quick stay.

The place was overall a great place to stay for our short weekend. It was not super clean, particularly the floors, but for the price it's hard to complain too much. The sheets were very clean, which at least to us is the most important thing. Check in was very easy and there are a couple nice breakfast options within a 5 min drive.

We were here for two night to drop off our kid for college. Needed a basic place to sleep at the end of the day. Great value. Basic room with all amenities of towels refrigerator and microwave. Very quick response from the host. Will stay again.

We had a good stay! A cheap stay that was pretty close to the Turning Stone Casino. Had a little difficulty getting Uber drivers back and forth. But other than that, no complaints!

Great value for for the price! Easy access to the fort, post office and highway. Yakov was a great communicator helped everyday.

Yakov’s home was exactly what we needed, and he was quick to respond and make special accommodations work for us in our favor. Lots of parking and space in the house.

This vacation house is set at the end of a private road, on the shores of a medium sized lake in the southern adirondacks. The house has great views to the lake, nice outdoor spaces, a good functional kitchen, and nicely furnished common rooms. Bedrooms are large, and smartly set up. My visit was in the winter, so I can't comment much about the lake, but for cross-country skiers, this location is excellent - a five minute drive to BREIA ski trails. Wink was great to deal with - responsive and friendly.

Stayed here many times and will continue to do so. The peace and privacy that this cabin offers is perfect for relaxation.

We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas week at The Point. The cabin was decorated for the season so the kids even had a tree to open their gifts under. The layout of the house was perfect for two families to share and we fit 12 people around the tables for Christmas dinner. We are looking forward to a return visit to Wink’s place as soon as we can schedule one.

Together with another couple 3 kids we had a great stay at Wink's cottage. The place is cozy, well-equipped and has amazing views over the lake. What we especially liked was the outdoor spaces on the deck and in the yard. Highly recommended!

The Point was a great place for our family vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed the home and being right on the water. Wink was fantastic at quick communication and addressing questions we had.

The Point is a beautiful and spacious home that’s perfect for a family getaway or group get together. Plenty of room to spread out with two living areas, two dining areas, a huge deck, screened porch and great camp styled front porch. Much more than expected. Big comfy seating, cable, and kayaks (plus canoes and paddle boards supplied by host) catered to all our family’s activity needs, from quiet reading to play. Lots of extras we didn’t use were there too, like canopies, even an umbrella, shows our host thought of everything! Somores at the fire pit were a hit, as well as stargazing from the deck. Lots of hiking close by, so the dogs loved it too. Truly pet friendly with niceties, like bonus towels for wiping feet. The Point is an exceptional Airbnb find. Loved it!

Wink met us at check in, showed the property and how to best use the amenities. The house and grounds are well stocked with the basics and decorated tasteful. This peaceful setting met every expectation we had and more. We look forward to the next stay at The Point.

The Joshua Hathaway House is a great option if visiting the Rome/Utica area, including any visits to Hamilton College. I stayed here for my son's Family weekend and it was just over 20 minutes from Clinton. David was a great host. The apartment-like room had a spacious living room, along with an eat-in kitchen and bedroom. All amenities I needed were in stock and David had a nice supply of breakfast items in the fridge, along with some baked goods. Overall, the weekend was perfect, I would highly recommend staying at David's place.

David has made a thoughtful renovation of an historic building creating a comfortable and stylish place for visitors to Rome. The abundant breakfast was much appreciated.

Room nice, clean and stylish.

The Hathaway House is a testament to time. A little worn and weary, a little rough though layers of paint and many upgrades strive to resurrect a comfortable and pleasing space. It is quiet and reasonably private, especially at night when we wanted to sleep. The furniture is beautiful, clean, well placed, and functional. Having said that, the lovely historic bed is fine for those under six feet (barely) and lighter weight, but may prove challenging to taller, heavier folks. The kitchen was well stocked with numerous edibles, water and juice, and fresh fruit; thoughtful touches and above and beyond expectation. Even half and half for our Kerig coffee! The bathroom is functional even though I would upgrade the commode soon and place a furniture piece next to the sink for holding guest items while getting ready. Parking is convenient during the week...we liked using the church during the day, but parked in the back at night. If parking in back, we asked permission to walk the path from the carriage house which may be shared with the tenants dog that potties there... All in all, we were pleased with our stay and would come again if the opportunity ever arises.

This is the cutest apartment with the perfect mix of old and new furnishings. David is a wonderfully attentive host. It was immaculate and had all that we needed for our stay. We would definitely stay again!

We had a short stay, but were very pleased with everything. David was super accommodating with our late check-in and even bought snacks for us to enjoy in the morning. The decor is great and the history of the house made the stay even better. Would definitely stay again.

The place was very clean. Great location for snowmobilers. Sleeps a good amount of people. Very nice house. Big enough driveway for a few trucks and a trailer. We had a 24ft trailer and it was a little tight but not that bad. It was perfect!

This is a cozy, well-built cabin with such accommodating, friendly hosts. The cabin is located in a beautiful location with good proximity to cross country skiing in Osceola. We had a wonderful weekend here, and hope to return again!

Great place nice n clean

Kristee is a great host! She met us at our car and showed us around the cute apartment. It was perfect for our family and she even had coffee and creamer for us!

Kristee is very friendly and responsive. She made us feel welcome with nice touches like asking us how we take our coffee and having the right fixings waiting for us when we arrived. She was also very considerate about our dog. Her place was in a great location for Rome Generals baseball fans.

Lovely little place close to cross country and downhill ski places, and just outside of Rome.

I enjoyed my stay at Brooke's place. They do have a great, clean and properly air-conditioned room. The host are welcoming and provided me with tips on how to make the best out of my stay

I would highly recommend this beautiful historic home in Boonville! Mark is an awesome host and has thought of every detail to make your stay perfect! We came home on a cold night to a fire in the fireplace and a delicious breakfast in the morning. We are looking forward to returning in the spring as there is no reason to stay anywhere else!

An excellent host! The decor is amazing! Marc is very accommodating, and friendly! He hosted most of our family from out of town for the weekend of our wedding and they all raved about him and the bnb. And we couldn’t beat the price!

201 Main is a lovely place to stay. Unfortunately we didn’t stay more than one night, but I would’ve love to stay just to enjoy the property to see what the town has to offer. Marc was a great host, he was available for any questions that we had and did a great job making us feel at home. The room was very spacious and clean. Softest sheets ever! He has the friendliest and smartest dog and did not bother us in any way! I will definitely come back!

Marc was wonderful to deal with. We were unsure if an arrival time, so throughout the day Marc and I kept in touch and he even suggested places to eat dinner (thank you!) The property was amazing, beautiful architecture and decor, felt a little as if I had stepped back in time slightly which was really nice. There were plenty of beds to choose from as we were the only guests there that night, and Marc made us feel very at home. Marc also gave us breakfast in the morning which was above and beyond what he needed to do! Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay at Mark’s Place. I came with my two children ages 10 and 11 and we had a fantastic night and played all day at Old Forge (35 min from Marc’s). Very nice breakfast and cool old house!

This house is so beautifully decorated and so comfortable, too. It was a wonderful place to relax and recharge. I can’t wait to return!

Marc's house is pretty clean, spacious with a mixture of historic atmosphere and artistic decoration. Marc treats guests very well. The delicious brekfast he cooked impressed us very much. There are many useful good books in the big living room. Staying in the house gives you a sense of elegant palace. We'll surely come back again next time.

Simple place to stay. Very easy to get in. I don't know why this matters to me, but the shower had the perfect pressure (5 stars) - not to weak or hard. John was very flexible with me and my stay. I had to make a change due to the conference I was attending for work and he changed it within minutes after messaging him. I highly recommend this stay. Quiet. A gym. A TV room. Plus, there is a great pizza joint near by.

Lorraine is a fantastic host. She was very responsive to requests as we needed laundry and ironing board during our stay. I would stay here again next time I visit upstate. Don't be hesitate with her and Paul being there, they are extremely respectful of your space and privacy. Really great folks!

Loarine's is great. If you like to be in the middle of nature, like I do, it is fabulous. I spent close to a week at her place during the month of April. As one could expect, around that time of the year, we have some mud in Upstate New York. Just bring a pair of rubber boots and leave them on the porch. The place is super clean. Loraine is a great host. As she manages a local deli, she always has some food for hungry guests like me. Three thumbs up for Loraine!

What a fantastic place for a family to use as a home base for ADK exploration. The space is a great size, the backyard with all of the tubes and canoes are excellent. The hospitality is outstanding as well. We would highly recommend this place for its space, location, ease, and amenities

My group spent four days at this wonderful little cottage in Forestport. We had a fantastic time thanks to all the thoughtful touches that Barb’s cottage offers. From the kayaks to the fire pit to the board games inside this place has everything you need for a fabulous vacation. We would love to return again and again.

The house is much more spacious than it even looks in the pictures. Lots of little extras were there in case you forgot something at home.

We booked Barb's cottage for a relaxing getaway with my siblings and their families. The cottage had everything we could have wanted and even kept us entertained when it poured on one day of our trip. The access to the lake was wonderful and the scenery was picturesque! We definitely would recommend!

Barb's cottage is a great place to relax and unwind and I would come back without any hesitation. First, Barb is a great host and answers very quickly to all your questions, her sister and husband warmly welcomed us, making sure we would feel like home. The cottage was just renovated so of course very clean. We were 4 adults and 2 toddlers and the place is great for children. No stairs and nothing they can break, and there are already some games for them, and for adults too. We had everything we needed: coffee machine, bbq, hammock, fire pit, canoes, kayaks and the lake just at the end of the garden (life jackets for both adults and children). We had a blast. Everyone found something to occupy themselves with. There is a trail very close to the house if you like running and going out for walks. There is a diner and a bar just a few minute walk away. If there is just one thing, but minor, the cottage is close to the road so during the day you are most likely to hear the cars going by (on the bridge it resonates) than the flow of the water but the environment is so great that it won't take away the cool atmosphere. Thank you again to Barb for making sure her hosts get the most out of their getaway and cottage! I would recommend it for sure.

Everything you would ever need away from home. Our family had such a great time relaxing in the hammock and kayaking in the pond. We were very comfortable. Old Forge not far away either! Would love to come back again.

What you see is what you get (in a good way), and for me I found it to suit my needs well while being quite comfortable.

This was by far one of the better rooms for the value. The location and quiet settings are perfect for sleeping. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable. "Super single beds" are just right for that alone traveler. The lounges and on site laundry are prefect amenities for the person with a longer stay

Johns place is more like a hotel, however, there’s nothing he won’t do to make things the way you want to make you comfortable. The place is safe and secure, clean, easy to access, and John responds to all communication at all times. Great place for the price you pay. Very reasonable. I recommend staying there. Laundromat is free, plus there is a giant kitchen with everything you can imagine at your disposal should you decide to do some cooking. Try it, you’ll like it!!
