  • Great tiny house stay. It was decorated so nicely! It's a little walk to the river but the water was perfect for our small children. So clear! We saw deer every morning. Was so peaceful.

    April2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great secluded place and a chance to unwind. The first day we were there it was so quiet you could hear the river and every sound of nature. I didn't even miss not having wifi or cell service. There are other houses close by if an emergency occurs. A warning to the wobbly: the floor is made of natural rocks which are uneven and there is a larger than normal step needed to step into the house. The bathroom does not have a door if that bothers you.

    Christi2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • It was clean and exactly what we expected. Great host!

    Victoria2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect getaway! We had an amazing time and everything was exactly as expected. So peaceful and relaxing and we had everything we needed. Jill was a perfect host. We will definitely be returning.

    Cristal2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Stylish space with beautiful natural features close by. We enjoyed getting away from everything. With no wifi or phone service this place is perfect for unplugging and reading a book. It's also close enough to Garner state park and the Frio.

    Cris2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great quiet & remote spot in the Frio River area! The house comes with everything you could want to cook a meal, including a grill & utensils. Very close walk to the dry Frio river, and about a 30 minute drive to Garner state park.

  • One of the best weekends we've ever had. A beautiful place in the most beautiful setting. Deer, turkeys, horses nearby. Just perfect. Thank you so much for the recharge, we can't wait to go back!

  • Helen is a wonderful host and her cabin exceeded all our expectations. The location is quiet and beautiful. Very good value for the price.

  • We rolled into town at night and got a little lost but Ms. Helen answered our call right away and stayed with us until we got to the cabin. The following morning, she came to check up on us which was very thoughtful of her. The cabin was great. The river views are amazing! The kids loved the bunk beds!

    Adriana2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this cabin! We spent Thanksgiving week here and it was perfect for what we needed. Cabin and surrounding areas were well taken care of even though we were there during a non-peak time. Perfect river location as well for our little ones to explore!

    Brittany2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Buchanan Cabin 36 was great! Walking distance to the river and walking distance to breakfast at Neal’s Cafe! We enjoyed the location and the cabin itself. Be sure to bring your own cups and plates if you intend on cooking and eating at the cabin. I didn’t read the listing well because she listed what the cabin has, but I just read on through it! We had to go to the Dollar Store to grab cups and plates! Bring your own coffee filters and coffee because the coffee filters didn’t fit the pot in our cabin!

  • Tracy is a great host. We got a little lost and called her late at night for directions. She stayed on the phone with us and guided us to the cabin. The back porch is a great place for watching birds and listening to the creek bubbling past. The cabin itself is cute and welcoming. Tracy stocked it with plenty of towels, cooking-ware, dishes, dish towels, and basics such as salt, & pepper, sugar, cooking oil, and cleaning supplies. We met her as we were leaving and she is a very friendly person.

    Carol2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great view from the back porch, large bbq and nice fire ring by the river. Good location for visiting Lost Maples and Garner S.P..

  • Tracy’s place was exactly what we needed, perfect for our trip to Utopia.

    Chris And Roxann2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin wasn't hard to find. There's plenty of room for two people and we slept great the entire trip. The shower is very small (like cabins we've stayed at before). The river behind the house was the our favorite part. I had tea on the back porch every morning, and watched the birds, listened to the river. We spent several hours one afternoon splashing around in the river and enjoying being outside. Garner State Park is only 20 mins away, and totally worth a visit.

    Nicole2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great place for a relaxing weekend. I surprised by husband and my fur babies for a weekend getaway. The cabin was clean and very cozy. We enjoyed food at the cozy and warm back porch, continued with a warm evening with fire under the stars. Would most definitely come back! Hosts were very quick responders and attentive to anything needed. If you don't mind a few cars driving by once in a while, a fire pit and great back yards by the river... Then this is the place for you.

Studio Cabins at Camp Riverview are the perfect spot to unwind and relax while still having many amenities of home. Cabins have a/c and heat, lots of natural light, a grilling area out front and a short walk to the most beautiful stretch of the Frio River. Our property has 1/2 mile of river frontage for our guests to enjoy.
  • The camp grounds are well kept and having a little amenities like Wifi is great. Having the river run through the grounds was so fun and convenient. It’s on my list of future stays

    Ricky2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice cabin and view. Helpful staff.

    Ashley2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • A perfect spot on the Frio! It is magnificent and magical there! The little cabin has two queen beds, so bring your sheets and extra blankets. You will also need anything and everything to cook and eat with. There is a two burner stove top, a microwave and grill. A good size refrigerator and a small coffee maker that takes filters and ground coffee. Bring extra chairs if you have more than two people. The place is nice and clean and the spot is perfect! This is what I call GLAMPING! I’ll definitely be back. Make your reservations now!

    Cindy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was recently updated and clean. It was lacking basic sundries such as tissues and hand soap, which would have been nice to have as our stay was during the winter and the campground store was not open to purchase these items.

    Sarah2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent riverfront/river access location. The property has lots of family friendly spaces to play volleyball or gaga ball. Located close to Garner State Park. We would definitely stay here again. Hosts are very friendly and helpful.

This bright and airy one room studio tiny home with a kitchenette is located right off of highway 83, about 3.4 miles from Garner Park and 3.3 miles from the Third Crossing/Seven Bluffs drop off point at the Frio river. We are close to the water, yet away from the crowds. A cozy spot perfect for two people to relax after a day of floating the Frio or exploring Garner State Park. We offer coffee, and tea for you to enjoy during your stay
Enjoy the tranquility of front porch sittin’, bird watching, the relaxation of Frio river floatin’, or gorgeous hiking at Garner Park. We are only a few miles away from both Garner State Park and thr Frio River (the Third Crossing drop off spot in Concan). This area is surrounded by birds, who make daily appearances in the morning. So far, we’ve spotted an Indigo Bunting, Vermilion Flycatcher, Eastern Bluebird, and even the rare Golden Cheeked Warbler! We do not have tv or WiFi. This is truly a place to get away from it all, and enjoy nature, friends, and family. Feel free to browse our orchard and pick fruit when in season, or select fresh herbs from our herb garden for cooking. We have apple trees, plum trees, a fig tree, pear tree, apricot tree, and peach tree. All of our trees were planted with you in mind. We hope you enjoy our fruit as much as we do!
We are located in the adorable town of Concan, Texas. Our property is conveniently located between Garner State Park and the Third Crossing drop off spot at the Frio river. It’s the perfect place for those glampers who want to enjoy both Garner Park and Concan! This area is knows for amazing nature and wilderness experiences, from floating the gorgeous Frio River, Hiking Old Baldy at Garner State park, learning more about nature through the guided nature tours at Hill Country Adventures, quietly watching some of the most beautiful and rare birds in texas from your own front yard, or standing in awe as millions of bats fly over your head at the Frio Bat Flight, the Texas Hill Country River Region will not disappoint. One your drive here, be sure to keep your eyes open for exotic animals! You never know what you might see hanging out by the fence line. This area has one of the largest populations of exotic animals in the country! Once you get into Uvalde County and Real County, you could see anything from Zebras to Buffalo. The beauty in the area is that undeveloped, rural charm. Unfortunately that rural charm, bings all other aspects of country life. Cell service is not great, only AT&T cell service works out here (and it runs slow during peak season). Be sure to bring any groceries that you might need. There are few grocery stores in the area: The Concan General store has basic items that you might need, We are located on 5 acres right off of 83. Because we are conveniently located directly off the highway, there is a substantial amount of road noise (we do provide white noise machines and ear plugs for our guests).
  • Cozy little cottage in a small air bnb community. Very cute and thoughtful amenities.

    Grant2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was great. The house is small however Jake & Leah were very clear about that in their description and it’s the perfect size for 2 people wanting to enjoy a getaway. I love that this house is close to everything we wanted. You are less than a 10 min drive to any of the tubing/kayaking outfitters, Garner State Park, local convenient store and the Frio River. Highly recommend staying here.

  • This little Cabin is perfect for a weekend getaway, especially if you are wanting to spend a few days on the river, or at Garner State Park! The bed was super comfy, and they had everything you need. The Cactus decor was a great touch to the themed Cabin. Great accommodations, and priced extremely fair! We will definitely book again!

    Brad2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • A gem minutes away from Garner State Park. Don't look any further & book the Cozy Cactus. It is so warm & welcoming, you won't go wrong. I will definitely be staying here again.

  • This is our second time to stay with Jake & Leah and we were even more blown away the second time! We stayed in the Cozy Cactus, which is perfect for 1 or 2 people. My husband and I loved the place. The unique touches in this cabin will steal your heart away. The prayer request jar, the fragrant oil they had in the cabin, the lighted cactus, etc. Their decorating skills are to die for! Great location also!

  • This place was large, probably more than needed for just myself but I liked it and it was comfortable. Marco was very helpful over the phone with navigational challenges. Would stay there again for sure.

    Mike2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • We deviated from our biking route to stay at Marco's place after seeing the photos on AirBnB. The Gonzalez Guesthouse is exactly as pictured. Bernie says it's eclectic and one of a kind. He loved it. Mary says it was fun seeing the decor and special touches that reflect Marco's creativity and talent in taking something mundane and transforming it into something unique. We're glad we stayed at GG. Bernie and Mary

  • This was our first Airbnb experience, and it was great, such a fun and eclectic place. Comfy and cozy rustic guesthouse that had everything we needed for our quick stay, including comfort for our pet. I enjoyed taking in all the decor and repurposed materials; the hosts are very creative!

    Betsy2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was our very first time going through Airbnb, and it did not disappoint! The cabin is perfect. It was very clean and filled with rustic charm. It had everything we needed, and more. This was a super last minute, unexpected need and the hosts were very nice and helpful. The beds were comfortable, the bedding was nice, the wi-fi was great, and all of the little nice touches made our quick little stay a delight.

  • Fun and eclectic rustic cabin, just 10 minutes from the Uvalde fairgrounds and main square/shopping area- cabin is as listed - very clean, quiet and private with cute little touches and lots of amenities - Marco & Leigh, the hosts, were great at communication and very welcoming! Good launching point for exploring the area, including Garner State Park and the Frio River (about a 30 min drive north). Would return and recommend!

This 900 square foot air conditioned cabin can sleep 11 comfortably. It's centrally located in Concan- close to food, the Frio River, and fun! Enjoy the collection of VHS tapes, board games, BBQ pit, and the fire pit- perfect for some nighttime stargazing!
This cozy 900 square foot cabin can be yours to enjoy! It boasts 2 separate bedrooms, 1 bathroom, and a wide open living and dining space. The home has just undergone updates including new kitchen cabinets, countertops, electric range, pots & pans, silverware, kitchen sink, and ceiling fans. You'll find the kitchen and bathroom stocked with the necessities - pots & pans, silverware, cutlery, general appliances, toilet paper, towels, extra sunscreen, bug spray, band-aids, etc. Oh, and don't forget the air conditioner that will keep you nice and cool once you're done enjoying the water. The cabin does not have river access, however, it is located a short distance from the main road in Concan, the cabin is central to the major drop off points for the Frio River, as well as the convenience stores and food locations. Cabin is 1 mile from Kenneth Arthur Bridge, 1 mile from Neal’s, and 9 miles from Garner State Park. Parking at either of those locations, minus Garner, typically cost $10 - $20 per vehicle. There is no Wi-Fi service available at the cabin, and typically only people with AT&T wireless phones will have any service, which is typical of the whole Concan area. The house has a TV with DVD and VCR attached, and a mega-library of VHS movies on site. A fun array of board games and activities are in the home for your use, as well! I live in San Antonio but can be reached for any questions or issues at any time. The cabin has towels and linens, however extra pillows and sheets may be needed depending on the number of travelers in your party. Escape the crowds, noise, and trash that accompanies the Guadalupe and Comal. Come and enjoy the hidden treasure which is the Frio River! Relax under stars that you forgot existed!
The peace and quiet of our "neighborhood" make it one of the most enjoyable areas on the Frio! You're safe from loud river partying but close enough to the water. Please note that the cabin is on the non-river side of River Road. Neighbors are quiet, but helpful in the event of an issue. It's also likely that you'll get to spot a few deer during your stay!
  • This home is incredible, it has so many amenities as well as games and more vhs tapes than you can imagine! It’s got a great location by the river and plenty of space nearby to explore. Joseph was great at communication and always accommodating. I can’t recommend enough!

    Giselle Guadalupe2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was perfect for our visit to Garner State Park! The decorations were really cute and we felt at home there. It was in a really pretty wooded neighborhood, not too close to neighbors but not so far away that we felt nervous if something should happen. We saw several deer, and we enjoyed being able to bring our dogs with us on the trip.

  • Perfect place to stay for garner state park trip! Amazing atmosphere and cute lodging! Must stay!!!

  • Beautiful spot in a beautiful part of Texas.

  • This place is in a great location for riding out to Lost Maples and more so just minutes from Garner state park. The place is real close to the road so you can definitely hear the cars and trucks driving by but if you turn on the window units, even if just to fan, it really isn’t so bad. Nice and thoughtful people and place to stay.

  • The Inn Between is a welcoming mini village in the bucolic Concan area. Our cottage had everything we needed and was whimsically and thoughtfully appointed. We loved relaxing on the front porch or reading in the living room after spending the day hiking nearby Garner State Park. Leah and Jake offered lots of suggestions and were prompt with answers to questions and concerns. We’ll be back!!

  • We only stayed one night here but enjoyed it very much. We hiked at Lost Maples and Garner State parks and enjoyed the nice comfortable place to relax between each day. Loved all the special touches and enjoyed the night sky for stargazing!

    Cindy2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was lovely, and there were so many thoughtful touches. There was fresh mint infused tea in the fridge, sweet decor, a lovely porch (and a fire pit to use!), and a cozy kitchen with plenty of supplies for cooking. Our daughters had a wonderful time exploring the cupboard stocked with kids stuff! An excellent glamping option for GSP trips!

If you are looking for a private retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax on the river then look no further! Located on a secluded 2 acre lot, the cabin sits directly on the Dry Frio, which is not dry! It is called the Dry Frio because there are sections of the river that run completely underground. This is a very rustic cabin, no internet & no cell service! Although, we DO HAVE AC, so we consider it "glorified camping"! There is one main bedroom with a king bed, a sleeping loft with a double bed and two single beds as well as a set of bunk beds and a sofa that converts to a single bed downstairs. Fully equipped kitchen, outdoor picnic table, deck overlooking the water, washer pit, fire pit, small BBQ pit, everything you need for a wonderful river experience! You can walk in the river about 50-100 yards either direction and get to deeper swimming holes. Exploring the river is one of our favorite family activities! Can you go tubing there? ~ There are definitely float-able spots in the river but you cannot do a point-to-point float in our river. If you would like to do that, your best be is to drive into Concan. • Happy to have stayed here. Beautiful home and area.

  • Our family loved and enjoyed our days there even the kids didn't even want to come home. Thank You Jill

  • I really enjoyed our family stay in the Holland rustic cabins. The cabin came with many amenities that made you feel at home. Awesome views from within the cabin. Loved having my morning coffee on the outdoor deck with views and relaxing sounds of the river below.

    Melissa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Jill's cabin for a low key bachelorette and it was everything I could've imagined! The cabin was so cute and cozy and the view was amazing! It was a nice getaway and felt good to be unplugged from the world for a few days. Would definitely recommend and book again!

    Kristi2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • The Holland House provided our family with a great Thanksgiving Weekend! The cabin was just as I expected it to be from the pictures and information provided. The decor was both rustic and eclectic. The house provided PLENTY of room for the 4 adults and 3 kids (ages 8,12,13) in our party. The biggest bonus was no WiFi or TV. My favorite memories from the weekend include ALL of us in the living room with kids and adults laid out everywhere playing music, battleship and connect 4 with no one disappearing (adults included) to look at a screen! We brought all of our provisions as instructed and had plenty of room to cook our meals in the kitchen. Our last night, the large kitchen island was a great prep space for everyone to make their own pizzas. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed except for a cork screw! Ha! There were plenty of wine glasses. And for the cork screw? Where there is a will, there is a way! The washer and dryer was a nice amenity. Even though it was Thanksgiving, our kids found themselves in the river multiple times. They were able to take their clothes off in the enclosed outdoor shower, rinse off, and then we were able to wash their clothes instead of bringing them home soaking wet! There were many items we brought that were provided. The house had basic toiletries, contact solution, rubbing alcohol, laundry detergent, paper towels, garbage bags, and COFFEE to name a few. The home was as clean as we expected! When there is a house in the middle of nowhere, on the river and off of a dirt road, it just can’t be impeccably clean no matter how hard you try! The bathrooms and kitchen appliances were super clean. The dust, while not terrible, is just a constant battle in a home in this location. And I felt completely at home! Ha! The outdoor spaces were wonderful! We were able to watch our kids in the river below from the amazing deck. The views were fabulous and you couldn’t see any of the other homes in the area. It’s VERY private. We felt like we were the only folks for miles! And our kids spent lots of time just being kids and exploring all the things nature provided. The only thing that could have made this stay better would have been a leaf blower! It was a little damp outside during our stay and the property has several deciduous trees who had dropped their leaves. A leaf blower to clear the leaves from the entryways to keep the kitchen floor a little cleaner would have been great! Or at least we wouldn’t have yelled at our kids so much about cleaning off their shoes! Ha! The only thing we were a bit confused about was the trash. We didn’t reach out to the owners or the emergency contact because it just wasn’t that big of a deal. We really didn’t know what to do with it. With a three night stay we accumulated more trash than we are proud of, and we didn’t quite know what to do with it in the interim. We did have instructions to tie it up and leave it in the kitchen when we left, and that’s what we did. I chalked it up to the trash service not running during Thanksgiving. This cabin was a wonderful fall get-a-way, and I’ll bet it will make a great summer-time trip as well. Holland House— Thanks for the memories!

  • Our stay was incredible! The home and location we're perfect for our family and unplugging. So relaxing!

  • Two thumbs up

    Michael2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our family of six enjoyed our weekend at the river! The best thing we did for this trip was to purchase nets at Academy so the kids could try to catch minnows. It kept them busy and in the water for hours! We were also thrilled to find the swimming hole mentioned by a previous guest in their review. We went adventuring to find it on Saturday morning and once it was located, knew where we could go swim later than afternoon. It was great to be completely unplugged the whole weekend, and while we brought plenty of our own games, our kids LOVED playing the Jenga and Sorry games that were in the cabin for our use. Great vacation!

Evensong provides a quiet place to relax. The cottage has two twin sized beds in a separated area. The living room is furnished with a full size futon, eating area, flat screen tv, and kitchen with fridge and microwave. Freshen up in the adorable full bathroom with tiled shower, sink and mirror. Wifi access on most of the property. You will find random books and games available.
Our guest cottage is situated behind our home, with beautiful views of the hills, and great bird watching in a six acre area. It is 1 and 1/2 miles from the Garner State Park entryway. Quiet and serene, this well appointed hidden gem is tucked behind the trees off the road and away from the heavily populated areas.
  • Patricia and her husband are wonderful hosts. We had such a relaxing time while there. The location is perfect if you are looking to go to Garner State Park, as it is about 5 minutes down the road. The chocolate chip cookies and homemade breakfast she made for us was a great touch. Highly recommend.

    Alexandra2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was honestly one of the best Airbnb experiences my husband and I have ever had. Patricia and her husband went above and beyond as hosts: from fresh cookies, a stocked mini fridge, and a delicious country breakfast, to great having conversations and loving on our two energetic dogs! The cabin was equipped with anything we could need and the grounds were beautiful and peaceful. It was the perfect weekend getaway and we hope to return soon!

    Gabriela2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We had a memorable time staying at the Evensong cottage. Patricia and Ken were great hosts, very nice and friendly. Would definitely come back!

  • You won’t be disappointed! Adorable place and amazing breakfasts

    Lyn2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia and Ken's place is a dream. You'll find no better place to relax on a trip to Garner State Park or Lost Maples. We loved meeting them and chatting about their property and all the fun aspects of it--from the star gazing/bird watching platform, to the chapel, to the hiking opportunities in the dry creek bed, they have it all! Pat and Ken also have the best hospitality. We were greeted by them personally and given freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Each morning they included a delicious homemade breakfast. Their attractive cabin has plenty of outdoor seating (and swings) as well as everything you could possibly need inside. They've thought of all the conveniences, including blackout curtains sewn by Patricia herself! You won't regret staying here; we (and our two dogs) loved it and felt so relaxed!

    Audrey2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Please see our other review for more details; we loved it so much, we had to stay another night!

    Audrey2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I've stayed at many AirBNB's but this is the only one that has ever offered the second "B" - breakfast. The hosts delivered a delicious home-cooked breakfast to my door, after asking me for my food preference and preferred type of delivery. At arrival, I was greeted with a plate of homemade cookies. The place itself was just as advertised, and the grounds were charming, with incredible night views and a very quaint chapel for meditation. The location can't be beat for exploring this most beautiful part of Texas; it's only about 30 minutes or so from either Garner State Park or Lost Maples State Natural Area. The nearby town of Leakey has several restaurants and a number of shops. All in all, this place is a winner.

This quaint little cowboy cottage is perfect for two people. It was originally our son's place but he is married with a baby, so bigger they must build. We are happy to offer this little piece of our heaven for you to enjoy, but please leave your pets at home. No pets allowed. Thank you for respecting our short and simple house rules.
2 night minimum under most circumstances. 3 night minimum on major holidays. One-night stays occasionally accepted in the off-season. Cell Service: ATT is most reliable. TMobile has one tower nearby. Most others have no service here.
We are located just a short 1.5 miles outside of Utopia. We are nestled right in the middle of two great parks less than 20 miles away. Lost Maples State Park located north of town and Garner State Park located West of town. We have a famous cafe that was featured in the movie Seven Days in Utopia that you'll have to try out. Especially their homemade pies.
  • Tracy and Duane's cabin is peaceful and adorable. The pictures don't do it justice. It was perfect landing spot for a combined Valentine's Day weekend and local wedding. Tracy communicated before and through out our stay to make sure we had everything we needed but we had complete privacy. She thoughtfully included some chocolate covered strawberries to help us celebrate Valentine's Day. The shower had plenty of hot water for two showers and great water pressure. The bathroom was very spacious with ample plugs, towels, and storage space. There was even a makeup mirror installed. In the anteroom of the bathroom area, Tracy has thoughtfully placed anything you may have forgotten from razors to phone chargers. The bedroom was spacious with a very comfortable bed. Extra pillow options and extra blankets were in the large walk-in closet where we stored our bags and hung up clothes to make more space. There is a full length mirror in the bedroom. In February with temperatures dropping into the 40s at night we did not need the space heaters which Tracy and Duane provide just in case, the wall heater worked just fine. The bedroom had lots of plugs, lighting options, and a ceiling fan (and living). Entry to the property was easy but you can close the fence. There is even a grill with supplies on the front porch if you want to cook out. At night with the porch lights off you can see Milky Way in the sky and hear the coyotes, it was truly peaceful and very comfortable. This felt more like a home than most airbnbs I've been in and the amount of thoughtfulness made it seem more like staying with friends. I would highly recommend staying here if you're in the area.

    Alisa2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy was such a fantastic host & this stay was absolutely perfect for my weekend getaway. The pictures really don't do this cute little cabin justice! It's cozy, welcoming, the bed was SO comfortable & the Cabin offered everything I was looking for --from WiFi to fresh ground coffee left kindly by the host :D If I ever plan a trip back to Utopia I will be booking this gem!

    Karin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Lil Cowboy Cabin on the Corner is by far the best Airbnb my daughter and I have stayed at. Host, Tracy, has thought of everything to make one’s stay exceptional, from fresh baked cookies, fresh ground coffee, and special touches, (too many to note them all) throughout the cabin. Prompt and helpful responses were received to any questions we had. If you’re looking for a quiet and relaxing get away in a charming setting, this place will fulfill all of your expectations.

    Theresa2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! My husband and I had such a good time. It was quiet and comfortable and close to state parks!

    Savannah2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was such an amazing cabin stay! From the minute we arrived, you could just feel the comfort and relaxation surround you. Immaculately clean and stocked with everything you could need! The bed and couch were so comfy also! We saw at least a dozen deer from the front porch -- and they were so close! Rocking chairs to enjoy the stars at night from and a hammock to nap in. We will def be coming back to this cabin when in the Hill Country. Thanks for a perfect stay!

    Kelly2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I have stayed at Tracy's multiple times and will keep coming back. She has gone out of her way to make her Cowboy cabin an inviting home away from home.

    John2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Truly the best getaway we could have hoped for out in Utopia. The cabin is packed with amenities, we wanted for nothing. Everything matched the distinctive rustic ambience. It was easy to relax there, a rare feeling for me. So charming, I’m very grateful.

    Karen2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent two nights at the Tracy and Duane's Lil' Cowboy Cabin in late November. We love that part of the Texas hill country and we had hoped for the opportunity to visit some of the beautiful parks in the area such as Lost Maples State Natural Area and Garner State Park (each only 16 miles away), but the weather was cool and damp for the most part. Never-the-less, we MUCH enjoyed our stay at the cabin anyway and spent a great and restful time together... something we needed. We don't regret our trip at all. The cabin was very well equipped with lots of amenities and Tracy's personal touches (even unexpected cookies!), and it was a very comfortable place to hang out together! Cabin access was easy and Tracy was easy to get ahold of if we needed her... and always very kind. The cabin grounds are not big but there are hammocks under the oak trees and nice porch equipped with a gas grill where one can relax and watch birds and wildlife in the yard and wooded fields across the fence. We saw LOTS of deer, especially in the mornings and evenings! Strength of phone signal was somewhat limited from time to time inside the cabin itself (true in general in much of the hill country) but the cabin has great Wi-Fi access. We also enjoyed going into Utopia (short drive) and eating Lost Maples Café, a well known place in the area. Hopefully there will be a "next time" at the cabin for us when we can also try out some of the other places in the area that Tracy recommends!

  • The decorations were cute. The beds were comfy. The sofas were great! The ramp helped my mom walk up to the cabin since she has mobility issues. And the parking is right at the cabin. It was such a relaxing stay for us. I know people don’t get away to Concan to watch tv or get online, but we all ask about this. For a rural area, the internet speed was great and I was able to stream movies. We occasionally lost a signal, but it would only last a minute and then it was back. Overall, great coverage for the area. They have direct tv, but ESPN isn’t included in the subscription, so plan accordingly if there’s a big game on. But again, most don’t go to Concan to watch tv... there was just a bowl game on that weekend. The property manager and was extremely helpful, as well! Overall, we loved our stay at this property!

  • This place looks exactly like the pictures. It’s cute and cozy and the perfect cabin. It’s missing some kitchen essentials so plan for that which is to be expected when camping but over all it was great and much nicer than most cabins around the area. • After the place we had originally booked had a rodent problem, we had to abandon and head back to Uvalde in the middle of the night to a hotel. The following morning, we were thinking about returning home due to sleep deprivation and defeat. But i decided to take a look and see if anyone could accomodate an early check-in. I received a response minutes after messaging Mike and Dwynette. They not only allowed us to check in early, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. I noted immediately how immaculately clean the place was and we loved the proximity to Garner. Our two year old loved exploring the yard and naming all the statues and artifacts. It turned out to be a great trip with memories that even exceeded our mouse problems. If I am ever back in the area, I won't bother looking for other accomodations. I'll just rebook with M & D.

Nestled along the Dry Frio River you can hear the running water when its quiet. So peaceful and relaxing. WiFi works great around the property. Highly recommended property!

  • Good place would stay there again. There was a lot more space than expected, and it could be excellent for groups.

An entire home, shade trees, and a fire pit in backyard. 700 Sq ft of living space, 1 queen-size bed, 1 twin and 2 fold-out sofas. Fully-equipped kitchen, full range, microwave, fridge, toaster, blender, pots, and pans, eating utensils, plates, and glasses. The cottage has A/C and heating also wood stove! Ceiling fans in every room. The bathroom is fully-equipped as well. It's a short walk to the crystal clear river, fishing, swimming and shallows for the little ones. Hiking and biking.
Great big, shady live oak trees cover the entire backyard. We have a trail that goes down to the river of cold, crystal clear spring fed water. There is a mile of river that you have access to both sides with lots of swimming areas for everyone, even the small kids! Souvenir fossils can be found as you hike along the river in the Texas limestone. We even think we have some dinosaur footprints! Lots of birds, butterflies and deer to feed. We are a unique place and hope you enjoy your stay.
  • We stayed at Dales getaway cabin for 3 nights. We got to hang around the fire in the evening. Drove down to the river areas and caught some fish. My son was pretty Stoked about being able to play basketball in the park area. Dales place was definitely a great spot to get away from everyday life and relax.

    John2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay! Dale is friendly and helpful and the cabin was rustic, comfy and clean. We weren’t far from the river and although it was too chilly to get in we definitely enjoyed going down and walking along the bank. Loved the fireplace, big shade trees and outdoor fire pit. Will be back during the summer!

    Lauren2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed the little cabin. The fireplace was so cozy during the winter and our dogs loved the entire area. The kitchen and decor are very charming. TIP to travelers; bring your food as you head to the cabin. You'll get cozy and won't want to leave after dark, since the roads are a bit winding and prone to flooding. My little Prius could handle the road though, so the minimal road flooding is no big deal. It was a wonderful value and a very relaxing weekend. Thank you, Mr. Dale!

Cabin 32 is a short walk to the Frio River down a grassy slope/steps. It is a small one room unit with a full bed and a futon. Although linen/towels are provided from October thru May, the bed will not necessarily be made up. It does NOT have a kitchen. It has a refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker but no kitchen sink, no silverware, nor any dishes.
It is in a pretty grassy area close to the Frio River, but it is small. There are two other cabins near Cabin 32.
Limited restaurants in the area from December thru February. Concan Country Club Grill. and the Concan General Store are open during the "Off Season". Neal's Dining Room is open from March thru November but check their hours. This cabin is within walking distance to Neal's Dining Room. Leakey is 18 miles from Concan and Uvalde is 23 miles from Concan.
  • Very nice accommodations for the price very clean and nice rustic look and nice and close to the river!

    Juan2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Buchanan's cabins are a treasure in the Hill Country. It is like going back in time. The Frio River is just down the hill and crystal clear. You are within easy driving distance of Garner and Lost Maples and so much more.

    Beth2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay right next to the Frio River. We had to bring almost everything; blankets, towels, cups ect. We didn’t choose a cabin with a fire pit, but if we knew that we would of chose a different one. Easy access to the cabin and a private walking area to the river. I have Sprint phone service and still was able to use my phone. Overall great choice for a one night stay.

  • Coziest place in Uvalde! Must stay location!

    Ricardo2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • It is very clean and stylish, very central and easy to get in and to communicate. It has lovely walk-in and hand-held shower, toilet flushing has double handle (you can save water!). I would only like few things added at the kitchenette, like a bin for recyclables, knife, cutting board... Happy stays, everyone.

  • This place is so lovely! If you love Uvalde, or never been, this is exactly the place you want to stay at. Extremely convenient location and easy to find. It’s right at the heart of downtown and nearby the Main Street, where you’ll be able to find HEB and Gad stations. This residence has 4 private rooms with a shared common area. During my stay it seems like no one else was staying because we didn’t bump into any other guests. In the common area you’ll be able to find some coffee/ Kurig, along with some small breakfast items. AC worked awesome, bathroom was amazing, beds were so comfy!! Everything was just great!

    * StarLight Cabin sits on a peaceful ridge in the Texas Hill Country. It's located on a "no-thru-traffic" county road west of Utopia on the way to Garner State Park. ** View the brightest Milky Way skies between San Antone & Terlingua. *** Most nights, besides the singing of cicada or the call of a coyote, the only sounds to be heard is the calling of dove to their mates. **** Enjoy a few nights in this Hill Country Paradise on Tomahawk Ridge Road in Utopia Texas.
StarLight Cabin: * Located on quite low traffic Tomahawk Ridge Rd/PR 3900 (a private road with no-thru-traffic or public access.) ** Brilliant Milky Way and stars are inherent to the night skies here. You won't even see the lights of Utopia and will seldom see more than 2-3 distant lights from the cabin patio. *** Some of the best year-round bird watching in the USA. This is one of the best natural habitats for Dove nesting and many other bird species. **** We may not be plush and fancy, but it's a quite and peaceful little space that's perfect for a big dose of Rest & Relaxation. ***** For indoor entertainment, there is a 32" television for DVD use only. (Please bring your own movies.) You can also purchase the Robert Duvall movie filmed here, "Seven Days In Utopia" at The Lost Maples Cafe.) ****** Because of past & potential damage to flooring, carpeting, upholstery, and interior structure, etc., we do not allow indoor pets. ******* For location identification, note the GPS satellite maps showing the "Tomahawk" shape of the road encircling the property. The GPS address at our gate entrance (Tomahawk Ridge Rd/PR 3900) is "3164 CR 357". ******** Environmentally Conscious: We are an pesticide and herbicide free habitation and use only Diatomaceous Earth for pest control.
StarLight Cabin and Ride-Away is in the midst of the best motorcycle routes in Texas. We are centrally located and the perfect option for motorcycle enthusiasts who want to take their time exploring the greatest bike routes in Texas. * One of the most beautiful scenery routes in Texas: (1) Leave StarLight Cabin and motor West on Hwy 1050 to Hwy 83 at Garner State Park; (2) travel North on Hwy 83 to Leakey; (3) take Hwy 337 East to Vanderpool; (4) turn back South on Hwy 187 to Utopia and StarLight Cabin. (This very scenic route is approx. 51 miles long.) We are also close to many different outdoor activities for the whole family in any direction you choose: * Mid-way between Garner State Park (Hwy 1050 West) and Lost Maples Natural Area (Hwy 187 North). It is about 16 miles to both. ** 10 minutes to the Golf Links in Utopia on 187 South. *** 5 minutes from Utopia Park where guests can enjoy swimming, picnicking, fishing, rodeos, baseball and more. **** The beautiful scenery routes described above are of course not limited to motorcyclist. ***** The charm of this area and its ambience is its quiet solitude and lack of night light pollution. Noise and outside lights can disturb and ruin this for everyone for miles around. Therefore, except in an emergency, absolutely no excessive noise and outside lights after 10 PM.
  • We spent 3 nights at Starlight Cabin. It was a great way to unplug and get away from it all. Cute cabin with spectacular views of the Texas sky. It is off the beaten path and in a no service zone if you have Verizon. Old school map skills were essential!

    Amanda2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was spotless and offered a nice view of the hills from inside and out. All the basics were provided for and nothing was lacking. Ben was incredibly responsive to our messages and offered excellent recommendations for food and local travel. We’ll definitely stay there again.

    Daniel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and quiet. Very nice view of the sunset and the surrounding area from the back patio. Great location between GSP and LMS.

    Mark2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Was a great day, beautiful place nice views. I even forgot something and the owner was kind enough to mail it to me. I rate this place five stars all the way around. Was very nice place to stay.

    Jason2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Starlight Cabin is a perfect quiet getaway. It is clean, cozy and well maintained.

    Joni2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Starlight Cabin was very peaceful, relaxing, and THE VIEW is amazing! We spent a lot of our time out on the patio! We really enjoyed relaxing and looking at the beautiful view! I especially loved that the cabin had a sliding glass door so you could see the view from inside the cabin! We spent one lovely evening grilling chicken and veggies and sitting around the fire relaxing. Starlight Cabin couldn’t have a more perfect name, as the night sky there is incredible! It is the perfect place for stargazing! The inside of the cabin was clean and had the basics that you would need for the most part. If you’re planning on grilling, make sure you bring some grilling tongs because there aren’t any there and it makes it difficult to turn your food over without them because it’s so hot. The only other thing worth mentioning is that if you’re on the taller side (5’9”+) both of the beds are part of a bunk bed and they have railing as a headboard and footboard and it feels cramped. I’m 5’9” and my husband is 6’3”, and neither one of us were super comfortable in the bed due to the railing preventing us from fully stretching out. I’m guessing that the space would be perfect for people about 5’8” and under! The mattresses were a nice, comfortable memory foam, so the only issue was our height. Overall, the cabin was nice and clean and comfortable! The location is perfect, and only like a 15-20 minute drive from Garner state park, and about 30-35 minutes from tubing in Concan! There’s also a nice river park only 5-10minutes away in Utopia, but it costs $10/person for day use (for non-locals) which we didn’t realize until we got there. We ended up just going to Garner since we have a State Park Pass.. (The river park in Utopia would be GREAT for kids though! ..it had a super fun and unique playground, and bathrooms! Ben was a wonderful host and went above and beyond our expectations! We were arriving around midnight our first night there, and Ben explained exactly how to get there, and even offered to drive into town (at midnight!) to meet us and lead us there! He is very responsive to any questions and was super helpful. We had an issue during our stay, and he went above and beyond to fix the problem! We really loved our stay, and hope to come back someday! Thank you Ben! :D

    Jessica2019-08-04T00:00:00Z

  • Mike and Jenny are amazing hosts. The place was exactly as described and super clean. As an added bonus, we got to pet their horses and play some with their goats. Being cold-ish during our stay we were not able to use the pool, but we didn’t expect to and, honestly, it didn’t matter. The kitchen had all the basics we could need, and even some coffee and bottled water. All in all, we felt like we were home for the weekend. Thanks!

A very quiet & peaceful acreage just on the outskirts of town.
  • This place was perfect for what I needed. It was easy to find, very comfortable, and very quiet. My only complaint is that a person (not the listed host) texted me after I made the reservation asking for a credit card number “for incidentals.” I called her and questioned her about this but gave her the number because I needed the place to stay. I’ll be checking my credit card activity and hoping I didn’t get scammed!!

Love the resident kitties and the peaceful nature of the property!!! The king bed is super cozy and the sheets are wonderful! We slept soundly every night. Thanks Cara!!!

  • We stayed one night at the poolside cabana. Cara made it easy to check in, get settled, and enjoy the pool after a long drive. The room is clean and child-friendly. Also, we ate amazing brisket at Julio's BBQ. We had a great time in Uvalde on our drive from Big Bend to San Antonio. Thanks for everything, Cara!

Beautiful, private and secluded home in Frio Cielo Ranch, located 17 miles from Concan Texas and the Frio River. Close to Garner State Park and Lost Maples. Enjoy access to the Dry Frio River, which is not dry. This wildlife haven and nighttime star show is some of the best the State has to offer. Enjoy feeding deer off the 12-foot-wide wrap-around porch or hike along the river and look for arrowheads. Come unplug, unwind and relax in this Hill-Country haven.
This newly built home sleeps up to six people. It is very open with lots of windows to enjoy nature at its best. The 12-foot wrap-around porch makes this home one of the most relaxing whether you are inside or out.
The Ranch is a very private and secluded in a beautiful location. The Dry Frio River runs through it and you'll cross the river to get to the home. While staying at the river house you have full access to the river. The ranch does not allow hunting so there is plentiful wildlife. An extremely quiet and peaceful getaway awaits you.
  • We loved staying in this ranch house near the Frio River. It’s a perfect set up for our young family – with a simple clean space, large wraparound porch, and fire pit. Joe was a great host and very responsive.

  • If your looking to unplug (literally), this is the place for you! Dark nights (for star gazing), near the Dry Frio River (not dry) for daytime hikes, and friendly people everywhere. Bring your groceries and deer corn, Concan is about a 30 min drive with very little in between. It was just the weekend we were looking for...quiet and relaxing.

  • My family and I had a blast experience at Joe's location. This is such a great place to get away from everything. No internet needed, no light pollution. Just the nature and wildlife around this area. There is so much wildlife in this area. Especially, Deers are countless. I will visit this place again whenever I have a chance. River Front, private cottage with gorgeous scenery and views of the river and wildlife. Excellent for hiking, biking, swimming, fishing and feeding the local tame deer. The cottage is a bunk house with privacy nooks and a great space for family gatherings. This setting is amazing for reconnecting with family and loved ones. It allows quality time with each other as there is no wifi. An awesome fireplace and games can proove to be an awesome evening by the fire. Secluded, private.
Awesome river front cottage with amazing scenery and views of the local flora and wildlife. Campfires with s'mores and hot dogs are recommended. Great photo opportunities feeding the deer and wild turkey with friends and family. River exploration and fishing are optimal this time of the season. Migrating birds and butterflies are some of the other attractions of this gorgeous river cottage.
Private, secluded ranch on the Dry Frio (which is very deceiving, because it is never dry). The river bottom is white stones and rocks and makes the river water look blue green. Almost as if you were in a swimming pool. The river is fed by natural springs that run throughout the ranches river bottom. Fishing is fun, especially when you can see the fish as you try to catch them. Trails have been made along both sides of our river for excellent walks. The scenery all around is abundant. The gorgeous trees and natural plants that adorn this part of the river are one of a kind. The wildlife in this part of the area are unique as well. Domestic and non native animals thrive along our piece of paradise. The birds travel through this corridor of Texas when migrating. This aspect attracts many birdwatchers. The hummingbirds visit from March until October and are a great addition to any getaway or retreat from the city. All in all I love this little piece of heaven. It is very special and unique. I only wish that more people could come and enjoy it.
  • Best location ever! My boys loved the river and spent all of their time outside so much to do! Highly recommend it!

  • The cabin is great ... Better than the photos show ... the place is very quiet and cozy ... The attention and service of Blanca and her family made us feel at home ... We would definitely stay again there ... We had an excellent holiday!

  • This little cabin was perfect for a family weekend. It looks like a small place, but it fits so many people comfortably. We had two dogs, three kids, and six adults and we each had our own space. The kiddos had a wonderful time walking around the property and along the river. They also collected firewood that we used nightly for a campfire. If you do stay here, be sure to lay out in the front lawn at night looking at the stars. We could see the Milky Way and saw three shooting stars. Blanca was extremely communicative, we felt totally comfortable in her place. Totally recommend. There wasn't any reception in the cabin, so you were forced to unplug and really spend time with the people you were with and explore nature.

Imagine a couple of days in the Texas Hill Country in a guest house that is totally yours, it is shaded by pecan trees, you have access to one mile of both sides of the river(the Dry Frio). Experience abundant wildlife, migrating birds/ hummingbirds and butterflies, stargaze and be able to hike up Lookout Hill and feel comfortable during your stay at Moriah's Riverwalk. You are within 18 miles of the Concan area. Your stay here at our bunkhouse will be safe, quiet, and peaceful.
The Bunkhouse has a welcoming cozy feel and was designed to accommodate our two kids and our 7 grandkids. Both bedrooms have a full bath, are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. The covered deck is large and accommodating with ample seating, a well-equipped kitchen area that is outside on the deck. We have a gas grill that provides a large cooking area with an attached gas ,burner for a cooking pot/frying pan, etc. The grill area has a plate that will cook pancakes. also it will cook foods in a pot or pan that is available. and we also have a breakfast table. The yard space is shaded most of the year with our pecan trees. There is also a charcoal BBQ pit, two picnic tables, and a firepit. As you can see in the pics, we built the Bunkhouse onto our barn. We still have a few miniature horses around, a few dwarf goats(we drink the milk!) and some random chickens, dogs, and cats. They won't bother you, but are available to see if you would like "the tour". Swimming the full one mile of our river is a unique adventure. We have the Blue Hole, the Emerald Pot, the Slip, and Slide, and let's not forget the Katfish Kitchens. We will have a map to guide you along the river!
We have clear water swimming spots, for kids and adults. Hiking, bird watching, star gazing and some very interesting State Parks (Garner Stae Park and Lost Maples State Park) close by. At the entrance to the community, we have a Park that has a basketball area, a Volleyball net, tetherball, horseshoes, and a covered Pavilion. It is for use also. The park also has wi-fi access that is available to everyone.
  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Bunkhouse. Dan and Pat were responsive to our inquiries prior to the trip and welcomed us with local tips that enhanced our vacation. I would highly recommend, especially for families with young children. The sleeping arrangements provided a comfortable place to sleep after a long day of relaxing by the river. The spacious porch with well-equipped kitchen provided space for kids to play while adults socialized and prepared meals. There are several different spots along the mile-long private river access for swimming or splashing around. We also went for a hike up a nearby hill one morning that offered a scenic overlook of the area. There are also many nearby destinations that make excellent day trips, including Concan, Garner State Park, and Lost Maples State Natural Area, among others.

  • The Bunkhouse was an oasis in the middle of the beautiful Texas hill country. It’s a perfect escape from the bustling city life! Dan and Pat went above and beyond with not only the Bunkhouse but with their hospitality. Very accommodating and welcoming. Answered all of our questions and more! We can’t wait to visit again! P.S. don’t forget to enjoy the stars!

The House Pasture has live bands throughout the summer to include JOHN WOLFE on June 1, ROGER CREAGER on June 8th and the SPAZMATICS on June 14th. See their website for concert ticket prices and the rest of summer line-up.
  • The cabin was absolutely adorable! 🏡 There was more space than we expected & it was squeaky clean 🧽 Our kiddos enjoyed access to the “swimming hole” with mom & dad of course & we were just a short drive from Garner State Park where we enjoyed peddle boating on the Frio River & hiking up to Crystal Cave 🥾 There’s some great shops for memorabilia near by & a super cute ice cream parlor called “The Frio Float” just down the road 🍨 Our little family of 5 fit with plenty of space & stayed busy & unplugged for the weekend....would definitely book again ♥️

The Thelma Cottage brings to life the charming personality of Thelma Dickinson from Thelma and Louise, the classic film about two bffs on the ultimate adventure. Boho charm with vintage western details, this cottage is the perfect place to crash after a day exploring Garner park or floating the Frio. You’ll be sipping margaritas by the Frio señorita.
We have apple trees, plum trees, a fig tree, pear tree, apricot tree, and a peach tree.
  • Adorable and comfortable! We had a great time. Will come back in the summer!

Beautiful, modern, 857 sq ft Cabin with one king bed in the bedroom and a pullout couch bed in the living room. The picture speaks for itself. Can't really go wrong with this one. There are 2 other cabins on the 6 acre property listed on Airbnb, similar in size and price, that can also be reserved in case your group needs more space.
Just a couple blocks from Main Street, yet quiet & peaceful. Close to shopping & restaurants. Only a 20 min drive to the Rio Frio River access in Concan.

  • Our family had a fun and relaxing weekend at Live Oaks Cabins. My 12 and 2 year old loved the pool on site! My husband and I enjoyed our morning coffee in our front patio with views of beautifully maintained oak trees. Cabins are perfect for a romantic couples retreat or a family getaway. If you appreciate a pressurized shower, the Treehouse cabin is for you! Reasonably priced. 10/10, we'll be back again.

Our property is an older, rustic cabin originally built in the 60's in the Avant campground in Concan, Texas. We remodeled and added two bedrooms, a bath and a living area. It's walking distance and has access to the Frio River ( approx. 3 minute walk). The walk to the river is down a small hill so it is an uphill walk back to the cabin. 8 miles to Garner State Park.
The cabin has 3 bedrooms , 2 baths, living area and fully equipped kitchen. Due to the age of the cabin, it is not wheelchair accessible. There is a step up onto the porch, two steps going into the kitchen area, as well as a step down into bedroom one. The addition onto the cabin is one level. The kitchen is stocked with dishes, pots/pans, microwave and coffee pot, trash bags and paper towels.Sorry, no dishwasher, so you might want to bring paper goods if you don't want to wash dishes. We furnish bed linens, pillows, towels, and toilet tissue, hand soap but NO bath soap. Guests are responsible for bringing their own beach towels, tubes, and lawn chairs to take to the river.
We have a BBQ pit, fire ring, picnic table and lawn chairs. We don't provide charcoal or firewood . Across the road is miniature golf course, splash pad/swimming pool (open to the public) and a store. There's also a great outdoor cafe "Hippie Chics" across the road.
  • Great location and place! Highly recommend!

  • I've known Mike & Brenda my whole life and spent many a day of my childhood summers hanging out in that cabin and in the river. I was so excited to share the experience with my children and their friends. We had a fantastic time. There was plenty of space for us all and the river access was wonderful.

    Jill2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • With 7 adults and two kids we were a bit worried about being on top of each other for a week but Mike and Brenda’s place was just perfect!!! Just minutes from the river my two little ones were able to play safely in the water while the adults sat in the water and enjoyed being around family. Any questions I had for Brenda she was able to answer so quickly. Bring extra blankets cause the A/C WORKS AMAZING! After being on the river all day it was nice to come back to an icebox of a cabin. We are looking forward to coming back again next summer.

  • Leah and Jake were fantastic hosts. The Gypsy Wild house now has a huge deck, and they setup a really nice play area for the kids with a fire pit and some games. Jake went out of his way to install a baby gate on the deck to keep our 1 year old from going down the steps. All in all a great place. Be aware, however, that the property is near a pretty busy highway and there are trucks going by making lots of noise.

  • My husband and I absolutely loved The Inn Between for a relaxing getaway weekend with no technology. The place had books and a game of scrabble to keep us entertained. Additionally, there was a really great porch to relax on at the end of the day. The Gipsy Wild home has all of the amenities you need and is really close to Garner State Park (less than 5 min drive). We loved the quiet and the coziness and would definitely recommend to other couples.

  • Wonderful stay! Despite being called a “tiny home,” my husband and I found there to be plenty of space and especially appreciated the full kitchen. It is clear that the hosts dedicate much time and creativity to the details- we were welcomed with a hand written note and two Christmas cookies! It was relaxing after a day of hiking to pick a book out of the extensive collection in the house and read in the hammocks. Very clean, very easy access to Garner State Park.
