Grade 2 listed terrace house on the main street of village like historic town, close to local shops and attractions including a swimming pool and arts centre. The town is nestled on a hill with 360 degree views of the North Devon countryside surrounding it. The House of Black & White is a great base to explore North Devon’s wonderful beaches, rugged Moors and breath-taking countryside. The historic market town of Great Torrington in my opinion is a little gem of a town full of friendly people.

The Hide is a tranquil getaway, tucked into the corner of Lemons Farm, our 15th Century thatched farmhouse. Originally a piggery, the cob and stone building has been converted into a little cottage with a living area, kitchenette, bathroom and mezzanine sleeping area. Fall asleep under the stars and wake to the sound of birdsong. Lemons Farm is located in Atherington, a lovely village with a church, tennis court and park. Some great pubs are nearby as are the gorgeous North Devon beaches.

Little Hoops, cosy converted barn

Little Hoops is our cosy converted barn with original beams and underfloor heating throughout making it ideal for a break away at any time. We lovingly restored it with our family a number of years ago and have enjoyed making it a special place to stay, we often joke that it is far nicer than our own home! The barn has a courtyard garden with table and chairs and is close to the local pub, The Crealock Arms. The coast is a 10 min drive away while shops, cafes etc approx 5 mins in a car.
