Lovely, newly renovated 500 sq. ft. guest cottage on peaceful, residential hilltop near town & water. Open kitchen & living areas, BR with double bed, sweet twin BR off main BR, convertible queen sofa in LR, private patio & fenced in yard for pups. Close to everything - For children, walk to the park, playground or water. For adults, a 3 minute walk down the hill to the lagoon to kayak or windsurf. Or walk downtown to great shops & restaurants, the beach or a great movie. A true pleasure.
Layout of cottage: When you first walk into the cottage you are in the living room, with the kitchen and bathroom off to your left. In the living room is a queen sized nice sofa bed. Through the living room is a door to the master bedroom, which has a full sized bed, dresser, end table and roomy closet. When you walk into that bedroom, there is a door on your left that goes to the twin room. It is a beautiful, very little room with a built in bed, shelving, desk and washer and dryer. There is a fenced in yard, with a brand new outdoor shower, patio, outdoor furniture and grill. If these dates are not available, please send us a message. We have other beautiful properties.
This beautiful hilltop cottage is on a lovely residential street a short walk to town (Main Street in Vineyard Haven). You can walk either through a park and playground or along the lagoon to go into town, to restaurants or shops, or to the ferry. To get to beaches from this cottage you can walk down the hill to the lagoon, where you can rent kayaks and paddle out. Or you can walk into town which is about 10 minutes through the park, and walk another 5 minutes to Owen Little Park which has a small beach, or about 5-10 more minutes to the public beach next to the yacht club. There is also a more secluded beach a short drive away where Lake Tashmoo meets the ocean. It one of my favorites, down a beautiful dirt road with water on both sides. The lake side of the beach is dreamy peaceful and perfect for young children, and the ocean side is a perfect, small classic beach. Martha's Vineyard is a beautiful island off of Cape Cod, in Massachusetts. Vineyard Haven is the primary port, with historic homes, lovely beaches, fabulous shopping and delicious restaurants. Our cottage is just outside the center of Vineyard Haven and the ferry.
  • This cottage is adorable. The touches are perfect. I’d definitely recommend Sharons cottage and she’s a pleasure to work with

  • Sharon was a great host! We loved the cottage - it was perfect for my husband, 2 year old son, and I. We wish we could have stayed longer! Great details and amenities - should we come back to MV we will definitely stay again!

  • Sharon’s rental is charming 🌻 She is quick to respond to any questions or concerns. A comfortable place for three people!

    Bonnie2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was a perfect spot for our small family of 3. The space is set up very well, and we had everything we needed. The outdoor shower was fabulous, and it was very nice to have the additional, calm space of the yoga studio. The wine and chocolate were beautiful touches as well. We will be back!

    Kate2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • This has been my first Airbnb experience and it was wonderful. Sharon was very helpful with any questions I needed, and was able respond right away. The location seemed small from the outside but was extremely beautiful and had plenty room on the inside. Thank you Sharon for a great time!

  • Theda's place was wonderful! Comfortable and well located with easy access to Oak's Bluff and Vineyard Haven. The beds were both memory foam and very comfortable, everything was clean, there were plenty of pillows and extra blankets and towels. There were even space heaters in each room to take off the October chill. We loved the ease of the self check-in using a door code. In addition to the nice two bedroom suite with sitting area and bathroom, we were able to access the common area (main floor) of the house through a sliding door. This was a lovely added bonus. We enjoyed cooking some meals in the well equipped kitchen and sitting in the wonderful solarium-like dining room. There are also two lovely sitting rooms in the common area decorated with a charming mix of antique furniture, cool art, and comfy seating. There was even a stack of board games available. Theda was away during our stay, but she was very communicative and quick to respond. I'd highly recommend staying at Theda's for your Martha's Vineyard trip!

    Claire2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Theda was super fast at responding to my questions. Her home has all the amenities a typical home does, you can tell it is lived in and not just a glorified vacation rental - which I total appreciate. She was available to be by phone and text when I had questions on arrival and the rooms were comfortable.

    Marie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Theda's home is very charming, inviting, and cozy. We were in active communication throughout our time here, especially during the Nor'easter that hit during our stay. Theda was very accommodating and understanding. She even offered to reimburse us for firewood if we wanted. Thank you for everything!

    Patti2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic stay. Great communication and very accommodating.

  • Marilyn's cottage is perfect. Spotless, beautiful, tucked in the woods, quiet and peaceful, a few minutes drive to the center of adorable Vineyard Haven, an excellent location for driving anywhere on the island. Marilyn is beyond wonderful, she's knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. If we could, we would live there.

    Nancy2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay in Marilyn’s cottage. Great location on the island, we loved how quiet it was, but yet close to downtown. The fireplace was an added bonus for us, as it was cold & snowy during our visit. We woke up to 10 deer in the yard, what a great treat. We hope to be back in the fall! The vineyard is just as special in the off-season. Thanks Marilyn!

    Kristen2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is beautiful inside and out. The kitchen has excellent amenities, the furniture is comfy and in good condition. A nice bonus is the inside and outside fireplaces with wood provided.

  • Highly recommend this cozy, clean, peaceful cottage. It is so thoughtfully designed, extremely clean. We loved the fireplace, comfy couch and board games during a winter trip. The location is quiet and surrounded by nature but also very close to Vineyard Haven. Communication with Marilyn was quick and easy. We’d love to come back someday!

This apartment is next to an art studio on the first floor of a shared house where owners and toddler live upstairs. It’s bright, newly renovated, and completely private (no shared spaces) There are 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, and parking. It is exactly 1 mile from Oak Bluffs Center, a half mile from The Cottages and Farm Neck Golf Course, and a block from Tradewinds walking trails. Across the street is the bike path, & the bus stop is on the corner for easy island transportation
We live on a main road in a residential area of Oak Bluffs. While we are an easy going family of 3, this is not a party home...so if you are planning on partying your vacation away (which is an understandable vacation goal...cheers!) we are not the ideal spot for you. -Now that the disclaimer is out of the way, before talking about our neighborhood I'll give you a short overview of the island. The entire island is beautiful; there are 6 main towns...Vineyard Haven (aka Tisbury), Edgartown (Chappaquiddick is part of Edgartown), Oak Bluffs, West Tisbury, Chilmark (Menemsha is part of Chilmark), and Aquinnah (aka Gay Head). Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown are the towns that you will mainly go to for shopping, restaurants, and tourist stuff...West Tisbury, Chilmark and Aquinnah are more well known for the beautiful landscapes with Aquinnah being your final up-island destination to see the Clay Cliffs. We are located in Oak Bluffs which is right in between Edgartown and Vineyard Haven, so it is a short 5-10 minute drive to both locations. Oak Bluffs is where you'll find the colorful gingerbread cottages, the island's bowling alley (both less than a mile from the house), the Offshore brewery, the flying horses (the oldest operating carousel in the country), East Chop Lighthouse, Circuit Avenue, and a beautiful harbor with restaurants, activites, and ferries to Nantucket (all of this is around 1 mile from the house). There are beaches in every town including Oak Bluffs and while we go the beaches in Oak Bluffs all of the time for convenience I would recommend exploring beaches around the island...you'd be doing yourself a great disservice going to the same Oak Bluffs beaches every day. Fortunately we are just steps from the bus stop, the bus will bring you tons of places on the island, tho the schedule does become limited during the off season. We also have parking for you, so bringing your car or renting a car would be a great option...just remember that you must MAKE A RESERVATION on the ferry if you are bringing your car (make it as quickly as you can...the ferries fill up fast). We also are located directly on the bike path if your hope is to bike the island. If your vacation goals are to explore what the island has to offer we are a great location for you; on the other hand if your goals are to lay low in the house and walk to the beach everyday we may not be your ideal location.
  • This apartment is great for anyone who wants to travel to anywhere and everywhere on the island. It’s right in the middle of MV and nothing is too far away. Check in and out is also quick and easy!

    Susan2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations were clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Wifi was great as well as the streaming services on the living room TV. Our access was simple and communication with Jasmine was rapid. The location was convenient for making vehicle excursions into various parts of the island. Some ambient noise but overall a peaceful location.

We are conveniently located within walking distance to Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven, directly across from the bike trail. We are less than 1.5 miles from either ferry boat.
You’ll have one bedroom within a two bedroom suite. If there are guests in the other bedroom, the sitting room, private deck and bathroom will be shared with those guests. Both bedrooms can accommodate two persons each.
We are centrally located to VH and OB, on the East side of the Island. You can walk to Eastville Beach or Doug’s Cove (1/4 mile), or OB town beach and Inkwell, about 1.2 miles. We are in a quite neighborhood, yet minutes from the town’s hub pubs.
  • Another great stay! I was here for work for 1 night and all was perfect as it was before! I'll be back =)

  • Cozy and cute and comfortable place in a quiet area. You can walk to the center of oak bluffs in under 30 minutes or take a 6 Minute uber or Car Ride. Theda offered water and coffee and there were also a lot of supplies in the bathroom. My sister and I Had a great time at her place ans would definately come again!

    Anna2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I stayed at Theda’s place for the weekend for work on the island and it was great. We had our private room while another couple was staying in another. Bathroom and space sharing was a breeze. Theda was super quick to respond to any questions we had and was such a caring, helpful host. Definitely would recommend her place for a quick stay on the island, A+ host.

  • If you're looking for a comfortable place to stay look no further. The private suite was comfortable and clean and provides a great place to stay while exploring the island. Theda is very welcoming and communicates well to make sure your stay will be a good one.

  • Great stay in a cosy room with everything you need. Halfway between Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven makes it easy to get to . We used the excellent value buses, the drivers were so helpful. Just walk up to the hospital area on the corner to catch them. Theda’s place is excellent value.

An adorable and comfortable Cottage within walking distance to the shops and restaurants of lovely Vineyard Haven and close to the beach and ferry. Two beds and a Kitchenette make this freestanding cottage your perfect getaway. Located in a quiet neighborhood. A charming place to relax and enjoy the Vineyard.
This is a cozy and comfortable "Thoreau-like" cottage. This guesthouse is located on our property behind our main house where we reside during the summer months. The space is simple and charming, yet has everything one needs for a relaxing chilled out stay on the Vineyard. The first floor is a combination living and sleeping area with a full size bed , a daybed, television, refrigerator, and ample closet space. The upstairs has a kitchenette with microwave and a single burner portable induction cooktop. (You will have to partake of the Vineyard's many fine Bakeries as there is no oven). There is a television with cable TV and DVD player. Wireless internet keeps you in touch as well. The bed is Queen size with a new high quality mattress. A ceiling fan, air conditioner, and heater keep the space comfortable. The bathroom is minimalist: just a toilet and not super private just a curtain . The shower is classic beachhouse; Outdoors. It is enclosed and attached to the rear of the main house close by. The shower is shared by the other guest unit. A gas grill is provided for your (shared) use as well. The firepit is a wonderful way to enjoy the evenings *. An outdoor seating and dining area are also yours to enjoy. The cottage may be small on space but we feel it makes up for it in amenities and charm. So again to review the 3 quirks so there are no surprises BE ADVISED : (1) . The upstairs and downstairs of the cottage are not connected internally . You have to go outside to go up or downstairs as you can see from the main photo.(2) The toilet is not very private, merely a curtain between you and your family , unless you kick them downstairs.(3) The shower is of the outdoor variety but fully enclosed (no roof) and semi-private with room and a bench for changing. The shower enclosure is attached to the back of the main house just across the patio. Otherwise, we think it is a lovely little cottage and you will totally enjoy your relaxing Vineyard getaway!
This is a super chilled out neighborhood of seasonal and year round residents with lots of vacationers mixed in as well. The convenience of being able to walk to the vibrant Main St district of Vineyard Haven, the beach and the ferry is a huge plus.
  • Nice quiet stay, nice hosts, place was as described.

  • I did not personally stay here, as we booked this location as accommodations for vendors for our wedding on the Vineyard, but Jeanine was easy to work with, and very accommodating and helpful with check-in and different arrival schedules. Our guests were really happy with with their stay. We would definitely book again!

It was perfect for what we needed and Jeanine was so helpful with any questions we had! We loved the decorations and especially the garden it made us feel like we were in a magical cottage. The outdoor shower was glorious after a Long Beach day! We thank you both so so much we loved staying at this cottage !

    Gabriella2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • Utterly quaint, affordable and enchanting accommodation with a rustic touch just close enough to the many small town delights of Vineyard Haven.

  • This cottage was perfect for our long weekend trip to Martha’s Vineyard! It was clean and centrally located. It was so nice to be able to take bikes around town. Jeanine provided helpful tips that helped us to see the island and eat at some great restaurants.

  • The Little Lobster is a perfect escape. It's even better than the pictures and in a perfect location: a quiet neighborhood but an easy walk to everything Vineyard Haven has to offer! Deb was a great host and left us bagels and wine, which were a wonderful touch. Also, the bed is dreamy.

    Lauren2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful cottage in a great location. Deborah is a wonderful host and so easy to communicate with. Fresh flowers greeted us. Spacious bathroom with a great shower. Very private and off street parking. Very comfortable living room and bedroom with a king size bed. We would definitely stay at Little Lobster again...as long as it’s okay with Bob!

    Lois2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The Little Lobster Cottage is super clean, in a great location, with all the amenities you need! It’s very private and relaxing, and a perfect example of a cute Vineyard cottage. That being said it still has modern touches, like the Alexa, Smart TV, and walk-in glass shower. There’s parking, beach chairs, and an outdoor shower. This is our favorite AirBnb to date, so thank you for being a great hostess!

    Christen2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Little Lobster, and we could not be happier that we chose to return. Hurricane Dorian hit the Vineyard the weekend we visited, and despite the disappointment of not being able to spent all of our time outdoors, we knew we'd be perfectly cozy and relaxed waiting out the rain inside. I truly can't say enough about how charming Little Lobster is - aside from being incredibly well-appointed (as you can see in the photos), the bed is a dream (seriously, we took a minute to peek at the mattress and pillows so we can replicate), the garden and backyard are beautiful and private...even the water pressure deserves mention (including in the outdoor shower)! We plan to return as many times as we can!

    Carolyn2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Th Little Lobster was a quaint home away from home! From the moment I arrived, I felt at ease. Deborah has thought of all the small details to make your stay enjoyable! You could literally just bring your clothes and a toothbrush and you’re good to go! In addition to the amenities, Deborah and Bob’s (the dog 😊) hospitality were second to none! Communication was easy and prompt! I would definitely stay again!

    Janet2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! The nicest airbnb we have stayed at to date! Clean, cozy, cute with numerous nice little touches. Beach towels, chairs and umbrella included! The best bed pillows ever! Quite AC. Cute cut flowers in vases. Private. Walk to village. Wonderful, thoughtful host. Five start-plus all the way.

  • We absolutely loved our stay at this home. It was as beautiful in person as the pictures. Thoughtful touches and design throughout. We didn’t need to use the loft area, which looks ideal for young teenagers. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The living room was cozy with the fireplace. We used the kitchen quite a bit, it had everything we needed. We went during the off season so a lot of places were closed, but the location was walking distance from shops and restaurants. Beautiful home for a beautiful island!

  • We stayed at Jim’s “shack” this week and it was just wonderful! We enjoyed it tremendously. The location is ideal. I got up in the morning while my family slept and walked down past the Tisbury Town Hall to Mocha Motts for coffee. Perfect. The space reflects an architect’s touch. Beautifully designed and the furnishings are thoughtfully curated. It was incredibly beautiful and cozy—a rare pairing. Spring Street does have a bit of traffic, but that seems like a reasonable trade off for the central location. Attentive host, great space, and incredible location.

  • Wonderfully located just a short walk above Main Street in Vineyard Haven, Jim's house is stylish, comfy, and totally delightful. The house, location, and host all speak to the best of Airbnb. The house is exactly as described: great furnishings, luxe linens, a terrific kitchen and bath, excellent fireplace, even my dog welcomed (!) -- everything you could want right at your fingertips. And Jim is a wonderfully responsive host, responding to every query helpfully and within minutes. This is our second stay at the house, and we hope to return next year. Thank you, Jim! A++++

  • The cottage is such a nice Vineyard retreat. You cannot beat the location. The neighborhood is charming and allows for just a quick walk to Vineyard Haven. The cottage is so well appointed. It has a relaxed, comfortable style that so suits MV. It provides a wonderful kitchen for anyone wanting to create a feast! We had everything we needed for our Christmas dinner. The bedrooms are a nice size and the beds are very comfy. The backyard is even more spacious than we imagined. I could imagine lovely evenings by the fire pit if the weather wasn’t quite as wintry. As a host, Jim is very responsive and accessible. He provides all of the amenities one needs for a fun vacation, whether you want to play games in the yard or settle in by the fire for a game of Clue. My family and I would definitely choose the Cottage again and again.

    Marianne2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is wonderfully comfortable and has a cool design. It's also a super convenient location. Jim was a great host! Really enjoyed staying there.

The studio is situated at the end of a quiet dirt road, surrounded by beautiful gardens, hens that provide fresh eggs and occasional veggies for sale. Follow the winding dirt road for a mile and you will find yourself at a private beach overlooking the Vineyard Sound. The studio is simple but its attention to detail leaves one content with its offerings.

  • Mandi’s Airbnb is the perfect retreat for a peaceful and serene Vineyard getaway. Great location and love the beach access! Very clean, stylish, and all around lovely. There were even little fresh cut flowers around when we checked in. Would absolutely stay here again!

  • This space is so beautiful and you feel like you are totally isolated. Perfect for a weekend getaway to the island :)

    Doug2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • It's hard to sum up in words how wonderful this place is! The studio is unrelenting lovely – a perfect retreat...but the entire property is magic. There is a perfect walking path to a secluded beach...a nearby bicycle shop...and beauty everywhere. Mandi is an incredible host, and if you're lucky...she may provide a pot of hot coffee in the morning. The only downside...it will be hard to leave.

  • Wonderful space and location. Easy access to the private Association beach. Amazing setting in a maze of back roads within a very upscale neighborhood. Lovely accommodations with some very personal touches.

Gorgeous private apartment in the upstairs of our new post & beam barn. The apartment has a private entrance and is situated above my husbands workshop. It is a studio (all one open space), with one queen bed and a futon couch, there is a kitchenette and bathroom.
Studio apartment in the upstairs of our barn. Nice big open space. There is a kitchenette, a queen bed and a futon couch. There is Air Conditioning for chilling out after a day of sightseeing or beach going.
Our neighborhood is a residential neighborhood about 1 mile from downtown Oak Bluffs and the harbor. You can walk through the ginger bread cottages to get to town and it takes about 15 minutes.
  • Nice open space. Perfect for 2.

    Gretchen2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great space! The barn is very well crafted and private. Perfect for a nice weekend getaway or extended stay. We stayed in the off season (October) for the food and wine festival - warm and cozy. We will book again.

  • Unique place. Very relaxing.

    Paige2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This charming AirBnB is on the top story of a barn on the property that the family lives on. It was clearly recently built and is spacious, charming, and comfortable. There is an extremely comfortable queen-sized bed, a nice seating area, a small kitchenette with a fridge, sink, toaster, microwave, and coffee maker, as well as a nice bathroom with a shower with nice hot water and great water pressure. A nice set of dishes, glasses, etc. are provided. It is located about a mile from town and the walk is pleasant passing through a small park, the Campground, and a few small galleries. We really enjoyed the use of two bikes and took full advantage, biking to Edgartown on a beautiful day. The hosts were very friendly and offered helpful advice on the area and allowed use of bikes, and their outdoor seating area where we enjoyed a bottle of wine on a warm, fall evening. Highly recommend!

  • Corinna’s place is perfect. She was great to work with, easy to communicate with, and check in was a piece of cake! I ended up getting stuck on the island due to a storm that shut down the ferries and she made it so easy to extend my stay with a quick text. Would definitely recommend the barn and look forward to coming back when the sun’s out!

  • We spent two nites with Corinna and were very happy with the accomodations. They are conveniently located near the ferry sites. She was very pleasant and helpful with local restaurants and sightseeing. We'd certainly stay with her again if back to visit the Vineyard!

A cozy first floor bedroom in our Vineyard Haven family home is perfect for solo travelers + couples. 5 minute / 10 minute drive from the ferry and airport. The bus to Edgartown stops right in front. A 20 minute stroll to downtown Vineyard Haven. Soak in the sunshine on the wraparound deck and enjoy a cup of coffee on us. Continental breakfast served each morning. We may host up to 2 additional groups of guests so this friendly vibrant home may not be ideal for light sleepers.
Cozy room with full (double) bed, bookcase, closet. Our shared home is bustling and lively with a yoga deck, outdoor shower, BBQ grill and outdoor bonfire pit. Expect a true “bed and breakfast” feel and to meet other guests!
Vineyard Haven is a uniquely historic and artistic community. We have it all! Parks, stores, beach and natural beauty abound.
  • This is an informal, quiet family home a mile from “downtown” Vineyard Haven and the ferry terminal. Antone, Mercy’s brother, was a thoughtful and accommodating host. Fifth generation Vineyard residents, they have local art and ceramics from people they know, and are a good source of local information. I booked for three nights, then added two more!

    Carol2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • It was off season and Mercy was not there so it was not quite what was expected. It was convenient to town.

  • Mercy’s place was great, very clean and lovely and quiet. It’s within easy walking distance of Vineyard Haven for shops and restaurants. I didn’t meet Mercy but her brother was there hosting and he was very kind and helpful. Great stay!

  • Mercy was not in Martha’s Vineyard during our stay however, her brother was there and could not have been more welcoming. He made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He also gave us great recommendations and insights to the island! The location was an easy 20 minute walk or 5 minute Uber from Vineyard Haven where the ferry arrives. Not more than 15 minute drives to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. It was a cozy space and I would definitely return. It was also so nice waking up to a hot pot of coffee, donuts and bagels in the morning!

The room is large with queen size bed & sitting area with tea and coffee maker. 4 windows offers cross breeze and looks out to a country setting. 10 min walk to the Lagoon with wooded trails. 5 min walk to bus stop. 25 min. walk to downtown the back way along the lagoon. The state of Massachusetts and the Town of Tisbury have implemented new taxes on short term rentals beginning July 1, 2019. Both taxes combined will total approximately 11.7% of the price of your Airbnb total.
Originally this was two rooms. A wall was taken down and I separated it into a bedroom area and a sitting area. Large room with queen size bed and spacious sitting area. Shared bathroom with one other room is located between the two rooms all on the second floor of my home. My older dog and very shy cat have no access to the room. Coffee/ tea maker in room.
Although I live close to town, my neighborhood is very quite. The dirt road I live on, although it's a short distance, on nights with new moon it's dark so I offer a flash light to my guests to help them home at night. A ten min. drive will bring you to restaurants, movie theaters, coffee shops, retail stores and more. Lots of beaches for long walks or sun worshiping. Also 5 min. walk to the bus stop makes getting around affordable.
  • Extremely hospitable host. Cleanliness and facilities are straightforward. The room was very large and comfortably furnished. Always my pleasure!

    Robert2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • MaryAnn was the best host we could have asked for! From the second we walked in, we felt at home. The room was bright and welcoming, and the backyard space was a place I could have spent the whole weekend. The room was spot less, and the bed very comfortable. We look forward to visiting again, especially with such a fabulous host!

    Briana2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place with easy access to Vineyard Haven by bike bus or walking. Ask about the "back way" to town. Very nice! Keep in mind that you are upstairs with a family downstairs so expect to be quiet and have limited privacy.

    Jeremiah2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place that had a very rural feeling even though it was 15 minutes away from the major ferry terminal on the island. We were only there for a quick overnight so were not able to view the yard or any of the amenities.

    Brian2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • MaryAnn’s home was clean and tidy and the room was everything we were hoping for. The added touches she provided were great too. There was a booklet featuring the best places to visit and eat, as well as how to walk in to town (a nice 30 minute walk). We look forward to coming back.

    Gabriella2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • So perfect! Would definitely recommend! Just outside of Vineyard Haven; it was a quick 10 minute bike ride to the ferry terminal. Bus stop a 5 minute walk away. Very clean. Would stay again! Lots a fans kept the room cool on a hot day

  • Mary-Ann provides a very nice room in her sweet house. The large room has a sitting area and a very comfortable bed with quality linens. The shared bathroom is spotlessly clean with nice touches such as lots of towels, soap, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. I would certainly stay with Mary-Ann again.

  • Very comfortable space for my wife and I for the weekend. Maryann was a warm and welcoming host. Although we didn't spend much time there, it was the perfect place to come back to after long adventurous days. Easy to find and easy to get back to from every corner of the island. We really appreciated having coffee and tea in the room. The visiting information that was provided traveled with us all weekend helping us find restaurants and places to see. Everything was very clean and the bed was super comfortable. The room had a comfortable sitting area where we spent time each morning planning our day. We appreciated the guest parking spot and the ability to lock our bedroom door while we were away. What a lovely spot. We'd definitely stay again.

  • Stayed here for a quick trip to Martha's Vineyard. It was easy to find and easy to get in. The room is spacious and clean. Maryann set up a lot of amenities (water filter and glasses, tea and coffee machine, fan, extra outlets, etc) and made the room super comfortable. Wish I could have stayed longer!

    Kristin2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Maryann’s home is surrounded by a magnificent garden and private woods. It is conveniently located near Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs.

    Mark2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place in the woods yet close to town. If you like hearing insects and birds, this is a nice place for that (although there are also fans to block out the noise if you like). It's a very stylish space that feels cozy yet has everything that you need to get by, including tea and coffee, books and a little nook with a couch. Mary-Ann is very kind and accommodating.

  • Maryann goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay at her home. The space is clean, vibrant, and feels homey even for a short time! We enjoyed talking with her as well, she’s a great host and you’ll be more than satisfied staying with her!

    David2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up not being able to stay due to a family emergency so we had to ferry back to the main land. Maryann was very understanding. Hopefully we’ll get to stay there another time.

    Andie2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay here was wonderful! The space is very clean, and Maryann provides many thoughtful touches to the room that make you feel right at home. She welcomed us warmly when we arrived, which added to our comfort during our stay. It is clear she enjoys hosting guests and sharing information about the Vineyard. The house is very accessible to the local bus system which makes it easy to get around.

Booking for 2020 season; Spring, Summer and Fall is OPEN. Walk to Main Street Vineyard Haven and ferry from this classic, comfy cottage with great screened porch and well equipped kitchen. No car, no problem. Upgraded A/C, premium cable and a new outdoor shower!
    Accessible yet private.
Just outside the Vineyard Haven Historic District. It is real Vineyard. Convenient yet private.
  • This is a very cozy/comfortable cottage in a quiet private setting just four blocks (& about a 7 minute walk) from nice shops and restaurants in the heart of Vineyard Haven. It was great having a very good clothes washer and dryer in the small bedroom adjacent to the master BR. The kitchen had all the basics we needed to make the meals we didn't have in the very good MV restaurants. The living room has comfortable seating and a large tv with lots of cable options. We were there when a "Bomb Cyclone" storm hit (high winds, heavy rains) and were amazed at how warm and quiet the cottage was through it all. Had we been there a little earlier in the season we would have had just a couple minute walk to John's Fish Market / Sandy's Fish and Chips. Another great little market for fresh seafood or meals, The Net Result, was open and is just a ten minute walk.

This quaint little cottage is located in the heart of East Chop, a neighborhood of Oak Bluffs. East Chop features the high, prominent bluffs that gave Oak Bluffs its name. A lighthouse, East Chop Light, stands at the north end of the chop on Telegraph Hill- only a five minute walk from the cottage. The cottage is a twelve minute walk to the harbor, and about a mile from the Oak Bluffs ferry! There is a public beach about 1/2 mile down the road.
This is a guest cottage on the property we reside at. There is lots of privacy, as well as a driveway that can fit two cars. This cottage consists of two floors, the second floor is only accessible via a staircase on the outside of the structure (shown in pictures). The first floor consists of a living room, a 1/2 bath (there is no shower inside, outdoor shower only), and a kitchenette. The living room has one couch, a rocking chair, and a 40” flat screen TV (hooked up to ROKU, no basic cable). The kitchenette has a full-sized fridge, sink, dish wares, toaster oven, and electric tea kettle. The porch has a table that seats six, covered by a bright pink umbrella. There is a charcoal grill on the porch. The outdoor shower is large and well stocked with soaps and shampoos. Upstairs is the bedroom. There is a queen sized bed, and a small chaise lounge. There is heat and air conditioning on the second floor. There is coffee, tea, and oatmeal for guests to enjoy. There is no smoking allowed on the property.

  • My girlfriend and I planned a last minute trip to the vinyard. Found jaymes places and it was amazing ! She got right back to me with responses and answered all questions I had since it was my first time using Airbnb. The place was very clean and a great cottage to stay in for a couple days. The outdoor shower was fantastic. I would recommend to stay here to anyone looking for a weekend trip.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our week in the sunny studio. We were looking for a spot off-the-beaten path, close to everything you'd want to see on the island, but itself a secluded getaway - and the studio was the perfect place for our relaxing vacation.

    Adelina2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely loved the spot! I used to live on the island and I know there are plenty of good places but this was definitely the best spot to be. Great location, the hosts are very helpful and kind, the dogs are gorgeous and the loft itself is absolutely perfect. It’s very comfortable, clean and stylish. The loft is above the garage so you don’t feel like you were disturbing the family at all. We truly enjoyed our stay.

  • This cozy, tucked away apartment went beyond our expectations. Roberto welcomed us as we arrived and continued to be responsive and resourceful our entire stay. Aside from the initial introductions to his pups, we barely knew they were there! The apartment itself was clean and spacious. This was a quiet spot, centrally located and a short drive from all parts of the island.

    Jack2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • The studio apartment was tidy and luxurious! We had everything we needed to have a memorable stay. There were also a number of lovely attractions nearby so we did not have to travel far to go sightseeing or go shopping. Roberto and Paige were happy to give us suggestions on places to go for a nice meal, and they were more than happy to provide us with any additional information we needed on the apartment or about the area. We loved our experience and would highly recommend anyone else to stay there!

    Devin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you for the wonderful experience. Roberto and Paige's place was close to pretty much everything on the island, I also appreciated the trip tips and places to eat and visit.

    Tina2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place to stay on the island. Super clean and comfortable. Roberto and Paige were great and very responsive. A great location with an easy bike or drive to all the nearby towns.

    Eric2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy, warm, and private sunny studio apartment that is spotlessly clean! A delightful spot to celebrate (our 15th wedding anniversary), and/or to chill and enjoy the natural island amenities (conservation trails, etc.) We highly recommend Paige & Roberto’s AirBandB!

Gorgeous and spacious 4 BR historic house near town & water. Great open spaces for entertaining. Ten foot ceilings and fabulous hilltop breezes. 3 season porch, new mahogany deck, fenced in yard. Large & beautifully appointed master BR. Beautiful linens & decor. Close to everything - For children, walk to the park, playground or water. For adults, a 3 minute walk down the hill to the lagoon to kayak or windsurf. Or walk downtown to great shops & restaurants, the beach or a great movie!
Gorgeous and spacious (2800 sq. ft.) 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom, historic house on hill near town. Great, elegant and open spaces for entertaining, enjoying. Lovely living and dining areas with 10 foot ceilings and fabulous breezes through large windows. Delightful 3 season porch, large deck, fenced in yard for pups. Large and beautifully appointed master bedroom upstairs. Beautiful bedding and furniture throughout. We want to make sure that you understand the layout of the home and the beds, so that you are confident it will work out well for your group. On the second floor there is: a large master bedroom with a king size bed and sitting area, a bedroom with an attached full bath and queen size bed, a bedroom with a bunk bed with a double bed on the bottom and a twin on top, and there is a large size full bath at the end of the hall with a tub/shower combo. On the bottom floor there is a bedroom with a full size bed, an attached full bath, and a separate entrance with small deck directly off of this room. The sectional in the living room has a queen pullout pillow top air mattress (super comfy). There is an additional brand new pullout queen sofa bed in the sunroom, also with a pillow top air mattress! (note: this room does get bright in the morning so best suited for early risers). Both of the sofa beds are a great quality and very comfortable. If you have more than 8 guests please note- The house is certainly large enough to host your group comfortably, as we've had many large families stay- quite a few returning year-after-year. In fact, it's wonderful for entertaining, and hanging out together in large groups. We simply want to make sure you fully understand the sleeping quarters, so that you can decide, prior to booking, whether or not this house is a perfect fit for your group. The home is situated high on a hilltop and is close proximity to everything- town, shops & restaurants, playground, sports fields, beaches. A three minute walk down the hill to the Lagoon and boat rentals where you can rent kayaks and learn to windsurf. Only 1 mile to Owen Little Park Beach, and 1 1/2 miles to Eastville Beach. A true pleasure. There is a wonderfully renovated of the garage/studio on the property for the use of all our guests. It is open to both houses. Please enjoy it! Feel free to open the garage doors and the French doors wide, and use it for extra space to work out, dance, do yoga, or just relax on the couch. If you use it, please just remember two things: Please close the doors before bed OR anytime if it rains. The studio has a powerful dehumidification system to keep it all fresh and dry, so if you do open the doors or windows, please just hit the little OFF button on the small black remote control sitting on the dresser. Just point it toward the two vents on the wall by the garage doors and hit OFF. And then please turn it back ON again when doors and windows are shut. We don't want to dehumidify the whole island, but it's important for the dehumidifier to be ON when the garage is not being used. For children, walk to the park and play ball, swing or fly a kite. For the adults, walk to the lagoon and kayak, or walk downtown to great shops and restaurants, the beach or catch a movie. There is an additional vacation rental on the property. It is a small and newly renovated 1.5 bedroom cottage. Tastefully decorated, well equipped kitchen, concrete counter tops, washer and dryer. 1 single bed, 1 double bed, and 1 queen sleep sofa. (Sleeps 5). If these dates are not available, please send us a message. We have other beautiful properties.
This beautiful hilltop house is on a lovely residential street a short walk to town (Main Street in Vineyard Haven). You can walk either through a park and playground or along the lagoon to go into town, to restaurants or shops, or to the ferry. To get to beaches from this house you can walk down the hill to the lagoon, where you can rent kayaks and paddle out. Our house is just outside the center of Vineyard Haven and the ferry.
  • visited MV at the end of this season and got to experience the house in the cool summer nights. the house was beautiful and has an extra touch of nostalgia. i love the pine plank wood flooring and wood windows that work! (we dont see those anymore in NYC) the deck was spacious for bbq with plenty of seating. the kitchen was fully accessorized with everything you will possibly need and more. there is a firepit and an outdoor shower that we didnt get to use. plus, everything was in walking distance from the Ferry to the small cozy beach. perfect getway for us NYC folk!

  • Excellent location in Vinyard Haven. Soft sheets, comfortable beds and ample towels. Our group enjoyed our 4-night stay. We used the laundry and prepared many meals in the kitchen. The kids enjoyed the bunk bed and swing in the yard.

  • We adored every minute. This is a beautiful home and the descriptions and photos of the home are accurate. The home is actually even better than displayed in the photos!!!I highly recommend.

    Sharon2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house is set in a nice quiet neighborhood which we loved but is also close enough to walk to town. Loved the back deck and the front enclosed patio area. We also enjoyed seeing the turkey families, especially the babies!!!! The house was big enough for 7 adults and two small dogs. We each had plenty of space to spread out and relax. Plenty of places to eat around too and a grocery store within walking distance. We did both 1000 piece puzzles while we were there but be aware that there is 1 piece missing from each! It was funny that we got so wrapped up in the fact that we wanted to find the lost pieces.... we even looked under the couches. But, they were no where to be found. We had a really good time. It was the first time for all of us in Martha’s Vineyard and we will definitely be back. I always prefer central air but understand why most homes up there don’t have it due to the cooler climate. It’s totally fine at night and during the day you just need to close the blinds and use the window units. The property manager was great and responded quickly when I had two questions I needed to ask. Otherwise we had no problem at all during our stay. Thanks for a great time! Hope to get up to the Vineyard again soon!

    Courtney2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our group of 10 friends from Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, and Denver loved our long weekend in this home! Plenty of space for all of us to stay and lovely facilities to cook our own meals and enjoy the summer weather. Would stay again!

    Ariana2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful home that also feels very welcoming. You have everything you need in the house, especially the very well stocked kitchen. The location was perfect. We had a car but it’s walkable to downtown Vineyard Haven and the town dock. We loved our stay and only wish it could have been longer!

    Alana2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great house for a group! Plenty of spaces in the house for people to seek out their own nest. Kitchen was well-supplied with everything you need + an assortment of spices and leftover pantry items. Both front and back porch is covered. We loved the view from the front of the house!

The "Ferry's Landing" is a second floor room & bathroom with a view of Vineyard Haven Harbor in the historic Thomas Chase House (built in 1717), the oldest house in downtown. Located directly across from the ferry. Private bedroom and bathroom all to yourselves. Private parking space.
The house was a B&B for whaling ships in the 1700s. This is the first time this house is being rented as a "B&B" style rental in over 200 years. So much charm and history in this house! The PRIVATE bedroom is on the second floor and has a queen size bed, mini refrigerator, a workspace table, two chair seating area, an air conditioner and a PRIVATE bathroom with a stand up shower. It also comes with a PRIVATE parking spot in our private parking lot that is STEPS from your door. This bedroom shares an entranceway that leads to your PRIVATE entrance. The front door of the house enters into a shared hallway and you take the stairs to your separate entrance. The hallway is just like what a B&B or an apartment building would have. You will be more than satisfied with the PRIVACY of the entrance and the room. The location is unbeatable as you are steps from the downtown shops, restaurants, the public bus system and the ferry boat. The beach along the harbor is right across the street and is perfect place to sunbathe, watch the boats come in, cool off, look for sea glass or do some fishing off one of the 3 boat docks. Evening stroll on this beach are incredible! The house has four separate living quarters and all are as private as private can be. A nice yard to relax in with on the grounds as well. Cable TV! So you can relax and watch some television after a long day of exploring the island.
The house is located in downtown but is quiet and private. The beach, restaurants and shops are just steps away!

  • What a great little place to spend a few days on the Vineyard. Conveniently located from the ferry dock in Vineyard Haven. Jennifer offers a clean comfortable room in a historic building. Upon arriving there was there was a list of all the great dining options on the island which is wonderful because we are a bunch of foodies and would have never have known about the Red Cat in Oak Bluffs! Delicious!! We would definitely book with Jennifer again!

    Rene2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Ferry's Landing is a most comfortable and tastefully decorated bed and bath which had the perfect location for our trip to MV. We loved the private, spacious room which was sunny and bright. Jennifer provided everything we needed to feel right at home. We highly recommend Ferry's Landing to everyone looking for a warm and inviting place to stay on Martha's Vineyard.

  • Cozy, sweet, clean cottage with all you need to lay your head down at night and explore Martha’s Vineyard by day! The hosts were kind enough to give helpful recommendations but also we had our privacy. Great experience!

  • All we needed for our long weekend away and such a comfortable bed!! The guest suite is set back in their lovely backyard past a flower garden. Check in was easy, it was immaculate and off-street parking was great for our rental Jeep. We received an awesome recommendation to take a ride up to Aquinnah and it was the highlight of our trip. Their guidebook also had some great restaurant tips. Will definitely look into rebooking for future trips to the Vineyard. - Brett’s girlfriend

  • A cozy little cottage in a great location on the island. I was here on a short work trip and it is minutes from the ferry. Check-in was very easy. Very clean, and thoughtful touches such as coffee, creamer, and water in the fridge. I’d stay here again if I came back.

  • A lovely place to stay! We went to Martha’s Vineyard for the first time to attend a wedding. Georgia’s place was walkable from the ferry which was very convenient for walking downtown to eat and pick up our rental car. The spot was quiet, and even though in the middle of a neighborhood, felt private.

    Shannon2019-09-02T00:00:00Z

The neighborhood is quiet and residential, yet close to town. Vineyard Haven has numerous places to eat, shops with souvenirs and gifts. clothing stores, supermarkets, restaurants, art galleries and jewelry stores and two movie theaters. There is a workout center at the Mansion House Hotel. Main bus terminal is across from the ferry landing for all destinations on the island.
  • Betsy's Serendipity Haven is both a home away from home and a great getaway from the fast pace of the mainland. The island has its own rhythms, with stunning landscapes at the point where the sea meets the sky. Betsy's house is a clean, cozy and safe place in a residential area nestled into a wooded landscape. We were able to walk, access Uber rides and use the very well run network of island buses, with her house as base camp. Betsy provides suggestions about where to eat, walk, people watch and find entertainment. She advised us on everything from neighborhood walking trails to film festivals and great places to eat. At the house we felt more like family guests than tourists and were able to relax and hunker down for an expected tropical storm with no sense of fear or trepidation. She was calm but well informed and prepared. Among the many places we have stayed on Martha' s Vineyard over 20 years this is a favorite, thanks to Betsy's hospitality.

    Dianne2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy's place is comfortable and charming and Betsy is a lovely lady and hostess. The room is as-described and there isn't a ton of shared space outside the room to spend time . . . . . a little screened porch with a fridge and toaster and Keurig and microwave . . . . .but there's so much to do on the island I'm not sure many guests would require much hang-out space. Betsy was extremely flexible and accommodating and warm. I really enjoyed meeting her and her family (who happened to be visiting). I will stay again if I go back :)

    Lee2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy was extremely nice. She was hospitable and her family was a joy to meet. Easy access for checking in. Whatever we needed she was there to help.

    Larcenna2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Betsy’s place for 2 days at Vineyard Haven. What a quiet place, serenity just as described. Outdoor shower covered with grapevines is a new and wonderful experience. Betsy was a great host, helpful and communicative. I recommend her and her cottage for a relaxing and quiet stay.

    Seda2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy’s home was adorable and a quick walk to Vineyard Haven. There was beautiful outdoor space to relax including a sun room and an outdoor shower. The best part, though, was our host; Betsy, you’re amazing! Your conversation, recommendations, and hospitality made us feel right at home.

    Margaret2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • I would definitely stay here again. Betsy made everything easy and she is extremely efficient. Very clean, comfortable, bright and cheery! Betsy is so personable and makes you feel right at home.

    Gary2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Betsy made this shared space instantly perfect! Perfect private room and the porch and patio were very comfortable for the time I spent there. Location was central to all explorations on the island ( you will want a car regardless of where you stay to you can easily get to all corners of the island! I used AA car rental and had a fun MINI Copper convertible! ). Her insight and pointers from the perfect market to the best scenic spots were appreciated. Continental breakfast and coffee were perfect options in the mornings and it was great to have the separate fridge and microwave for the snacks I brought in . Betsy is a great conversationalist ( and I welcomed that! ) - made me feel like I was visiting a friend. Which I feel will be the case if I return to the island. 5 stars all around!

The "Island Home" is a very private one bedroom second floor suite with a view of Vineyard Haven Harbor in the historic Thomas Chase House (built in 1717), the oldest house in downtown Vineyard Haven. Located directly across from the Ferry. Private parking space. Sleeps 4
The house was a B&B for whaling ships in the 1700s. This is the first time this house is being rented as a "B&B" style rental in over 200 years. So much charm and history in this house! This PRIVATE suite has a full kitchen equipped with a full size refrigerator, keurig coffee maker and a microwave. The "living room" has a twin bed with a couch (that opens to a small size twin bed), a dining table and a tv with basic cable. The bedroom has a queen bed. The apartment has an air conditioner and a private parking spot in our private parking lot that is STEPS from your door. The location is unbeatable as you are steps from the downtown shops, restaurants, the public bus system and the ferry boat. The beach along the harbor is right across the street and is perfect place to sunbathe, watch the boats come in, cool off, look for sea glass, or do some fishing off one of the 3 boat docks. Be sure to take an evening stroll along this beach. A perfect view of the Vineyard Haven harbor from your living room. The house has four separate living quarters and all have private entrances. This suite shares an entranceway that leads to the private entrance to your quarters. The front door of the house enters into a shared hallway and you take the stairs to your separate entrance. The hallway is just like what a B&B or an apartment building would have. You will be more than satisfied with the privacy of the entrance and the room. Nice yard for relaxing on the grounds as well. There is only one queen, one twin bed and a small sized fold down couch (perfect for a child or an adult on the shorter side) in the apartment. The suite is for a maximum of 4 persons. Absolutely no third party bookings. If you book the room you must be one of the guests that occupy the apartment. We asked that you be courteous and do not deep fry any food and refrain from cooking seafood in the apartment as it leaves a smell that is very unpleasing to the next guests. Thank you.
The house is located in downtown but is quiet and private. The beach, restaurants and shops are just steps away!
  • Cute and convenient

  • Spectacularly special spot. Great location and so much charm. Loved it!

    Sara2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • The house is seconds away from the ferry at Vineyard Haven and despite its proximity to the harbor, it is a very quiet location. History oozes throughout the home and one can easily imagine the lives of its occupants and the local community in 18th century Martha’s Vineyard.. The house is very clean and spacious with all the amenities one would wish for over a long weekend or during an extended stay. Jennifer responds quickly to guests so communication is never an issue. The only detraction I will mention is the staircase leading to the upstairs apartments. Keep in mind the era in which the house was constructed. The staircase is steep and the treads are narrow. Take it slowly and it won’t be a problem. Enjoy!

    Paul2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jennifer's place is in a great central location. It was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and it was quiet, for being so centrally located. Jennifer responded quickly to any inquiries and left a list of recommendations for places to eat. We hope to stay here again!

  • We love this cottage for its location where we spent an amazing week feeling totally rested and rejuvenated. The sunset was amazing to watch on the day we arrived, and we happened to be there to see the lovely moon reflecting on the pond. It is very convenient to get to the store or the restaurants, yet you feel secluded which is great. We were able to take our little bichon fries with us, and Anne is so thoughtful and left him treats. We will be back for sure.

    Josh2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic location with a nice private beach, super clean lagoon water and sunset views. Commute into downtown is pretty quick by bus or cab, and if the bus stop was any closer would be in the driveway (actual bus stops are pretty rare on the island!). We could sit at the sunny beach for a few hours at a time without seeing another soul... relaxing.

  • Lisa is a wonderful host and the home is very clean and homey. The property is right in the heart of the island while still feeling private.

  • We had such a lovely stay here---very clean, well equipped, and in a fabulous location. Highly recommended for a stay in Martha's Vineyard!

    Dave2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay while in MV. Lisa is a very gracious and friendly host. Easy check in/out and super close to ferry. Size of home was perfect for us , three adults and one dog. The home is exactly as described and in the photos. As mentioned the stairs are steep to the second level but we managed just fine. Super charming, fantastic view and awesome location make this place a winner!

    Cara2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This location and host are AWESOME! You will love the house, location, and amenities. The “barn” is lovely, clean and feels instantly like home. It is a mile away from Oak Bluff and just a little bit more from Vineyard Haven. We easily rode our bikes everywhere. We hope to come back soon!

    Annalisa2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, clean and cute house. Lots of privacy and a beautiful wetland pond in back to enjoy watching while you have morning coffee. The staircase is a wee bit challenging to manage, especially if you have anything in your hands and there can be helicopter noise from the hospital heliport right next door. Only happened once at night and boy was it loud, but after that one time i never heard again. Lisa is a great host, nearby if you need. We’d definitely come back.

    Benny2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is fantastic. Loved staying off the brush pond. House was very comfortable in all regards. Would definitely stay again.

    Josh2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • This home is very private, quiet and offers a perfect location to visit Oak Bluffs and Vineyard Haven. Lisa is an amazing host who was very accommodating and available to us. We will return again.

  • We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cottage. It was clean and cozy. Plenty of open space! The kitchen is well stocked with good quality cookware, dishes and glassware. It was so nice to be in this beautiful historic district! The cottage is nestled is a quiet, nature filled spot but is within walking distance from town. Thank you for a great weekend!

  • The company managing Davlyn’s space was responsive to questions. It was a great stay, low-key during the off-season, spacious and comfy. I would recommend to others and would stay again.

    Jessica2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage was very comfortable and convenient for either a stroll to town, or to drive to other parts of the island. The cottage itself is both close to town but also has a secluded feel, which is very nice. Although we were on the island for a wedding and were out most of the time, when we were at the cottage, we enjoyed the large, comfy couch and eat-in kitchen. It is definitely a great cottage for the price.

    Noelani2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great time of year to go to MV. Lots of things to do.

    Keira2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great time at Davlyn's place the past few days! It was exactly what I expected from the pictures and information provided in the post. The location was also great as it was a short walk in to town. The weather was also perfect which made our trip even better! Highly recommend staying here.

    Nicole2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • A sweet cottage in the woods near the beach and town. Well equipped with ammenities. Excellent property managment and housekeeping team. Looking forward to coming back again next summer.

  • This sweet bungalow is in the perfect location! You can walk to town and get the best lobster roll from the Lookout and dessert from Back Door Donuts. Then walk past the gazebo and along Inkwell beach before returning to your peaceful retreat. The cottage is warmly adorned with Martha’s Vineyard decor. The owners are attentive and welcoming. We had such an amazing time and can’t wait to return. Thank you, Davlyn for a picturesque weekend!

Enjoy up-island charm and down-island convenience in our lovely 1 bedroom guesthouse. Set on a spacious yard just outside Oak Bluffs, yet within walking distance to town, campground cottages, and harbor. Originally built as a goathouse for the farmhouse that also stands on the property, this cottage was rebuilt in 2008, incorporating much of the charm and many of the materials of the original structure. It is a delightful little slice of Martha's Vineyard.
This property is unique because it's so convenient to all that Oak Bluffs has to offer, yet is set on a rolling, spacious yard, surrounded by trees. It is worlds apart yet close to everything. Walking distance to town, campground cottages, harbor, Inkwell Beach. A very short drive to State Beach, which is one of the best on the island. Plus, it's very convenient to all down-island locations. The guesthouse has its own outdoor shower, a front deck with lounge chairs and a back deck deck with bistro chairs. Inside, there is a small kitchen and a dining table, a full bathroom with tiled shower, and a living room with a pull-out couch (I'm told it's pretty comfortable) and gas stove. Upstairs is the bedroom, with queen size bed. Please note that there is no door to this bedroom, though it is visually private. There is internet, but no television.
Oak Bluffs is one of the three down-island towns. It is fun and eclectic, with the campground cottages walking neighborhood and tabernacle, the oldest platform carousel in the country, a vibrant harbor, and many restaurants, bars, and shops. Now there is even a great bowling alley! There always seems to be something going on in town--whether a festival, concert, art opening, outdoor movie, or the annual illumination night. It is so fun to walk around and look at all the colorful houses and wave to people sitting on their front porches. It feels like going back in time. There is conservation land around the corner, with a peaceful pond and walking paths though the woods. Oak Bluffs also has many public beaches (we have walked to all of them, but some folks might prefer biking or driving), each offering something a little different from the next.
  • Wonderful accommodations close to everything Oak Bluffs has to offer. Cottage was sparkling clean and beautifully appointed. Easy walk to downtown. The host, Jennifer, was very easy to communicate with. Check in was a breeze. Highly recommend.

    Tony2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • If considering staying at the Goat House, don’t hesitate and simply book it. It is secluded yet convenient to many things including a short walk to Oak Bluffs. The space is well adorned and quite spacious given its’ modest size and presence. I loved the amount of operable windows and the abundance of cross breezes. We loved our stay here.

    Scott2019-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great amount of space for two people. Super impressed at how clean and orderly everything was. The host communicated everything we'd need to know ahead of time and could not have had a better stay. Thank you, Jennifer!

    Melanie2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • The check-in process was super easy. The location is about .75 miles from the center of Oak bluff - several times we walked it, other times we took Uber at less than $10 including tip. We enjoyed our stay here! As someone over 6' tall I did have to watch my head in the bedroom area as the edges of the dormers almost caught me a couple times :-)

    Michael2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great place and location! Great for a single or couple

    Justin2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay with Jennifer. Everything was exactly as described and she is very easily reachable.

    Amber2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cute spot. Nicely designed and detailed. A lot of thought went into the design. Great for a couple. Very quiet and private. Very close (1 block) to small grocery, which is perfect for a breakfast run/ beer/ wine. Across the street from grocery is a fabulous small BBQ joint. About a 10 minute quiet walk to town through a nice neighborhood. Highly recommend.

Located on 1.6 acres, just a 6 minute drive from Vineyard Haven town center, this lovely post and beam walk out basement apartment is the perfect home base to explore the island. Although the home was built in 2000 and has all the modern amenities you could hope for, its structure, reclaimed from a Connecticut dairy barn built in 1852 brings old world charm to this stunning space. Please note that our family of 5 lives upstairs so there is potential for noise early in the morning.
The walk out basement studio has a keyed private entrance, full kitchen with gas stove, a working fire place, private bath and a king size bed. The guest can park on the front of the house in the common parking area. A light breakfast is available in the kitchen space: fresh fruits, cereal, milk, coffee and tea, granola bars.
The property is located in the Lamberts Cove lower end area 2 miles outside Vineyard Haven at the end of a bumpy dirt road. It is a short drive (5-8 minutes) to town and the ferry terminal. It is a short walk from Ripley’s field Landbank trails which are great for hiking and mountain biking.
  • Great Airbnb! The space is cute, bigger than anticipated, and the communication with Amandine was seem less. For travelers- would definitely recommend bringing a car to get around the island. Highly recommend this listing!

    Daniel2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely and stylish place to stay about 3 miles outside of Vineyard Haven. The hosts are terrific, and the studio is large and spacious, striking a great balance between all the modern amenities one could want and rustic country charm.

  • Great place to stay

    Zachary2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Amandine and Louis were exceptional hosts. They were always available when we had questions. Perfect retreat for couples looking to have a warm cozy home away from home feeling. 10 out of 10 this is a must stay!

    Rich2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute place and so cozy!! We felt so relaxed and at home and would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends. Also you can't beat the price for Marthas Vineyard!! You will definitely need a car (unless you want to Uber everywhere), but we had ours with us so we were in good shape.

    Robyn2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was large, comfortable, clean and very well-decorated. I was only in MV for the weekend, but Amandine's place was so nice that I could have easily stayed longer. The kitchen was well-equipped and the house is centrally located but in a pleasantly quiet spot. It feels like you are tucked away in the woods.

    Sophia2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy and wonderful space. Beautifully decorated, everything was clearly marked and stocked. We were even given some delicious garden tomatoes - certainly an airbnb first. We had a car, and I bike a lot, so the peaceful location in the woods of TIsbury were just what we needed for our home base for a few days. Check in was amazingly painless and we had no issues during our stay. It was every bit the relaxing and fulfilling experience we both needed.

    Corey2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is truly a gem, tucked away from the busy town and immersed in the woods. Amandine was very quick to reply to all questions, super helpful and she even gave us some delicious tomatoes and basil from her garden for a salad. The style of the Studio is amazing, decorated to perfection, there's everything you need in the kitchen and bathroom. Grocery store is only 4 min away. Tisbury is 6 min drive and oak Bluffs is about 10 min drive. Best bed I have ever slept in, I am buying the same mattress. We had an amazing time!

Private entrance one bedroom In-Law Apartment with lovely outdoor space. An inlaw apartment is a garden level apartment under another, such as a two family. A mile to town and the beach at Tashmoo inlet. This garden level flat has a galley kitchen, full bath, living room with 2 full size futons and a bedroom with Queen size bed. The Cover Photo shows our main house and the apartment is on the basement level and we live upstairs with our 5 1/2 year old and a two year old. So you will hear the pitter patter of little feet.
The Vineyard is our Summer home. We live upstairs and have the ultimate respect for your privacy and enjoyment of your vacation time. Although the space is private with it's own entrance, we live here as well and have a small cottage on the property that we also rent. Please don't expect complete solitude as you will see other guest as well as us on the property, but never in "your space". The laundry room is shared as well as the outdoor shower, although not literally :) Guests also share the firepit area.
This is a super chilled out neighborhood of seasonal and year round residents with lots of vacationers mixed in as well. The convenience of being able to walk to the vibrant Main Steet district of Vineyard Haven, the beach and the ferry is a huge plus.
  • It was really great! Thanks for hosting us. Will definitely recommend it!

    Parvesh2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful visit at this quaint vineyard escape! Jeanine and Don were incredibly welcoming and proactive to our needs. We enjoyed the fresh cut flowers and attention to detail that they have thought of to make their guests feel at home. If we have the opportunity to return to Martha’s Vineyard, we would not hesitate to stay at this wonderful tucked away home in Tisbury/Vineyard Haven!!

    Brian2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet and charming. It has everything needed to stay comfortably. Very Martha’s Vineyard style home. We enjoyed it.

    Van2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great space for staying in the Vineyard. We brought our dog and baby - Jeanine had some great tips for us where to get the best lobster rolls! A great find as one-night stays are hard to find in the area!

    Chiara2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jeanine and Don are perfect hosts. They greeted us by asking what else we might need. They are charming and grateous. The accomodations are spacious. Lovely outdoor patio with dinning table. The setting is beautiful. Gorgeous flower garden Quiet, too.

  • We had a great week at Jeanine and Don’s place, which was perfect for our family with two young kids. It was really nice to have the outdoor patio to drink our coffee in the morning by the garden, and I loved the decor and fresh flowers inside. Jeanine offered many family friendly tips for things to do around the island. It’s a nice walk into Vineyard Haven!

    Alee2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Jeanine and Don’s place for 1 night. It was the perfect space. Very clean, nicely decorated, and plenty of room for what we needed. This was our first trip to the island and Jeanine went above and beyond recommending what to do on the island for our quick stay. Highly recommend these hosts!!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay in Zoe’s beautiful home. Zoe was extremely helpful and responded promptly to our messages. We will absolutely stay again the next time we are in Martha’s Vineyard. Thank you Zoe!!

    Allan2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Zoe’s on our mini honeymoon to the Vineyard. At first glance, the space was super cute and cozy. Zoe showed us around and had everything we could have needed from pamphlets to tea to toiletries to games for a rainy day. We felt like we were at our own cottage in the middle of nowhere. There were a few things that I feel put this place at a different level. First, we decided to have our son stay with us the final night. He is 2. Zoe went out of her way to bring us a gate and even offered to set it up if we needed. We also needed assistance one night late. Zoe promptly answered until everything was resolved. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will go back.

    Christine2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe helped make our first stay in Martha's Vineyard very smooth and enjoyable! Checking in was a breeze- Zoe was very responsive to any questions we had prior to arriving and provided very clear directions to the residence (as GPS is finnicky in the area). The apartment itself was beautiful, extremely clean, and only a short Uber ride away for all the attractions we were interested in. Thank you for helping make our experience memorable, and we hope to return ASAP!

    Max2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Great proximity to every town on the island. We brought a vehicle on island. Less than 10 minutes from Vineyard Haven Ferry. We vacation on the Vineyard every August and Zoe’s home worked great for our nearly 2 week stay. Newly remodeled with private entrance. My wife and I stayed with our 15 month and 3 month old children. We absolutely recommend for both short or long term stays.

    Kenny & Erica2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe's apartment was outstanding! Truly felt like a home away from home. Everything is there for you including washing machine, dish washer, iron, Netflix, cooler and beach gear! Zoe treats her guests like family members while maintaining complete privacy. Without a doubt, the best Airbnb experience we had!

    Alexandre2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Zoe and Marc were wonderful hosts! Always available for questions or suggestions for places to eat on island. Zoe supplied everything one could possibly need for a great stay. My past experiences renting for vacations were nothing like this. I’ve had to bring everything from linens and beach chairs to toilet paper, paper towels and hand soap. Zoe and Marc’s place was the complete opposite of that - they thought of everything! The space was beautiful and immaculate from the carefully folded towels to the beautiful gourmet kitchen. The little touches were not lost on me and I so appreciated their thoughtfulness! I would happily stay with them again and hope they continue with Airbnb!

Continental Breakfast Included and Available. Colorfully decorated room with a seaside theme. Queen bed. Bright and cheery. Comfortable and cosy. Skylight to the stars. Peaceful and restful. A perfect getaway spot. Twenty minute walk from town. Bathroom is shared with the adjacent room.
There is a special calm and serenity about my place. The gardens are beautiful and colorful. People say it feels like a sanctuary. The room is equipped with a queen sized bed. This room may be coupled with "Serendipity/a haven on Martha's Vineyard" for families to have two bedrooms. This room sleeps two and so does Serendipity/a haven is outfitted with two singles that can also be made into a king. The bathroom is shared with the room across the hall. ****Two night minimum on summer weekends****
The neighborhood is residential, quiet and welcoming. It is close to town but not in it. If you choose to walk at night know that the roads are not well lit. The Vineyard's appeal is more rural. It is a 20 minute walk to and from town. There are a number of restaurants in Vineyard Haven and others in Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. In fact every town has some restaurants and there is a good variety. Bikes are available to rent at MArtha's Bikes in Vineyard Haven. If you arrive in Oak Bluffs, you may also rent bikes there.
  • Had a terrific stay with Betsy. She was a pleasure to talk with and a great resource on the island! Especially enjoyed the outdoor shower. Thank you for a great visit to MV!

  • Betsy was a gracious and friendly host from the moment we arrived. Leading up to that she was very responsive and communicative. The space was comfortable and close to town. We absolutely loved the outdoor shower and will definitely return in the future.

  • My husband and I used Betsy's place as a home base for exploring the island by bike over Fourth of July weekend. We loved returning to our clean, air-conditioned room each night after a full day of cycling in the heat! We also loved being a bit off the beaten path -- though we were just a 15-minute ride from the hustle and bustle of Oak Bluffs, we were also able to dodge the crowds at night and wake up to birdsong. Betsy was very personable and had good local recommendations. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet refuge on Martha's Vineyard!

  • We enjoyed the place and hospitality of Betsy. Her house is clean and located in a beautiful location, surrounded by trees. I would recommend it if you are staying to explore Martha’s Vineyard and just need a place to stop, it has everything you need for a short trip. Betsy is very friendly and she is a traveler, so she has a lot of stories to share. I recommend.

  • Betsy’s place is lovely! It’s a good getaway at Vineyard haven, which is not so crowded as oakbluffs or maybe even Edgartown. She made some great local recommends for brunch! Highly recommend and will definitely see ourselves back to stay with her again.

  • I planned a weekend getaway for my boyfriend and I for our anniversary, but on that Thursday before my trip Mercy let me know about the weather conditions at Martha's Vineyard. She was in constant contact with me throughout our travels and she was very accommodating. We got to Mercy's home the day after we originally planned and it was very quiet. We were out and about a lot, her home is very close to shops and restaurants and we were definitely able to have a restful night. Although we never got to meet Mercy, her brother was there to welcome us. We would definitely recommend Mercy's home.

  • A perfectly quiet and cozy stay for a weekend. Very clean.

    Evelyn2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Safe and wonderfully hidden house off the main road surrounded by trees with a less-than-a-mile convenient bike route into Vineyard Haven (Tisbury); Mercy is very communicative and always available to answer questions; her home provided an exceptional base to start our daily bicycling excursions and other activities about the island. Recommend highly for the solo traveler or a couple...

  • Conveniently located in Oak Bluffs Martha’s Vineyard. Close to both Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs. Hospital and medic helicopters, albeit close but not a bother. We really enjoyed our stay. It feels like home. Thank you Lisa!!

  • This is a super cute rustic cottage in a really convenient location. The kitchen is well kitted out and the beds are comfy. Lisa was a lovely hostess and was super responsive!

    Ariana2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s place was fantastic for the four of us and our two dogs. Our ferry arrived late due to a hurricane, and she still came over in the rain and showed us around. The cottage is adorable with an amazing private yard and just the right amount of rustic with its charm. It’s a very quick taxi or a pleasant walk to both Vineyard Haven and Oak Bluffs, and Lisa was full of recommendations on great places to eat, drink, and catch the sunset on the beach. This was our first trip to Martha’s Vineyard and we’ll definitely book Lisa’s place again.

  • We had a great stay in Lisa's cottage! Two young children had plenty of space to run around and we loved eating our meals outside at the picnic table. The place is decorated in a wonderful way, it is full of classic MV charm, and the beds/linens are super comfy. We found everything to be exactly as Lisa described. Great location and great host!

  • Lisa's camp-style cottage is a sweet little gem! This cozy abode is thoughtfully appointed with comfortable furnishings in relaxing yet vibrant colors. The cottage was impeccably clean and included the conveniences needed to settle in straight away, such as toilet paper, dish soap, shampoo, etc. The layout of the house, as noted in the listing and in photos, is true to the camp-style. It is a little quirky for those used to a traditional house or apartment, but fun, and we loved it! The design/architecture is centered around a breezeway to keep the place nice and cool, and in combination with the ample trees on the property and the fans throughout, no A/C was absolutely no problem! We were super comfortable. I generally have trouble sleeping, and actually slept like a baby thanks to the overall comfort of the bed/bedding and the fresh air! Just what one needs on vacation! We enjoyed the yard, the kayaks, and everything the cottage and Lisa had to offer. The location of the cottage on the island is SUPER convenient. We could get just about anywhere we wanted to go in 10 - 25 minutes or less by car. We also rented bikes (Anderson's in OB has fantastic prices and awesome customer service!) and had no problem navigating them to and from the cottage. With regard to the hospital helipad, we weren't bothered by it at all. It was actually cool to see a chopper land. It only occurred 3-4 times over the seven-day course of our stay. In short, this cottage is a fun and delightful place to stay on Martha's Vineyard! Lisa is a SUPER HOST for a reason. Simply, she is an amazing, kind, and spirited lady! We are likely to book it again and will recommend this island gem to friends. Book your stay and enjoy!

  • We spent nice days in the simple and very tastefully furnished summer house of Lisa and Alli. Since the house has a variety of fans it was never too warm even without air conditioning. The distance to the road brought a pleasant rest, which was interrupted only once a day by the helicopter landing at the hospital nearby. In the morning we were awakened by a variety of birds and were able to observe deer while eating in the garden. Our hosts were extremely accommodating. Many Thanks!

  • Lisa was an incredible host and helped us tremendously throughout our trip. Not only was she extremely accommodating, but she went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The house was very authentic and charming. Nights weren’t overly hot and the breezeways brought in a nice breeze throughout the day. We were right by the hospital and were not bothered at all by ambulances and helicopters, in fact it was a very relaxing stay. Thank you Lisa!!

    Sandra2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa's home is as quaint as it looks on line. It is rustic by design, so if you like a camp feel, you will love it. The beds, towels, and bed linens are luxurious and ultra comfortable which is unexpected in a cabin, and so are the design touches that set off a cool vibe. The cottage feels like you are deep in the woods with all of the trees, but you are not. You are very near everything. Lisa had coffee, creamer, snacks, etc, there to make us feel welcome after a long day getting there. There is a beautiful pond on the property...you will wake up with the sounds of birds.
