Places to stay in Seeley Lake

Places to stay in Seeley Lake
Private cabin on 1 acre fenced lot. Great place for summer & winter fun w/ access to wilderness, public land and Seeley, Holland & Flathead lakes. Lots of hiking trails and boat, canoe and bike rentals within a mile from cabin. Pups welcome.
Seeley Lake's a small town, but has a grocery store, pub, pizza place, a couple of diners, and a couple of places to get good coffee. There are a few nice gift shops and outdoor stores in town as well. Missoula is a college town with lots of shopping and things to do, and is about 45 min-1 hour away.
  • A slice of Montana heaven that feels secluded yet town is just a few miles down the road.

  • Great place, would stay at again.

  • Beautiful cabin in a wonderful location. Highly recommend if you’re visiting Seeley Lake!

    John2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is our revived dream. It's exactly what we wanted for short winter vacation. I still called it our den. It gave us everything we need: warm, coziness, tranquility. I recommend this place if you want to hide from the world and relax. Dagny is an amazing host. She cared about us, answered for all our questions quickly, provided a clear instruction on how to find the place. She wanted us to have a carefree vacation, and I appreciated it. p.s. there was only one little inconvenience: no iron. But it wasn't a problem for us at all.

  • We absolutely loved this cabin. Perfect place to wake up on Christmas morning! We wanted to get away for the holiday and this for sure was the spot. Thank you for opening your home to us.

  • This cabin is the perfect summer or winter getaway only an hour from Missoula. I stayed here in July for 3 days & now in December for a week. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking all week. The space is gorgeous & lovingly decorated. I did not feel any need to leave except to go for lovely winter walks with my dog. There are movies, books, & games👌 I have stayed in Air B&B accommodations all over the world & this is at the top of my list! I will definitely be back! Jen

  • Amazing cabin in Seeley! Didn't spend too much time here with work and all, but bed was comfortable! Amazing little slice of paradise! Reccomend for sure.

    Chris2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • This is a spotlessly clean rental in a nature setting. Loved the layout of the cabin, very homey and comfortable. The fenced yard was perfect for my dog (remember to close the gate) ! The temp outside was anywhere from upper teens to upper thirties and with the gas stove and electric heat the cabin is warm. Nice to come back to after a day of hiking!

  • Katie and Leif’s airbnb on Sealy lake was fantastic We plan on going back again next summer

    Bryan2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a cozy home for my family to stay in! We absolutely loved the feeling of what home would give been like before technology took us over. The wood burning stove was delightful. Check in was simple and convenient. We HIGHLY RECOMMENDED this home to anyone looking to stay in Seeley Lake area.

    Courtney2019-06-24T00:00:00Z
  • Close to everything.

    Tia2019-06-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place! Cozy fire, well stocked kitchen. Felt like you were getting away but still close to a lot of great activities around Seeley Lake. Would definitely stay again!

    Jennifer2019-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed our stay at Katy and Leif's cabin in SL. There was a binder with lots of helpful info/maps, etc in the house and the book selection in the house was amazing (lots of natural history, wilderness survival info, etc), which really added to our stay. Cozy wood stove and places to explore right in the backyard.

    Samantha2019-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin feel and also close to town! Katy and Leif were quick to respond and had everything clean and ready for our stay. We'll be back!

    Heidi2019-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This place has the best little cabin in the woods feel without having to stray too far from the main center of town. You can't beat the comfort of a wood-burning stove! This is our hockey team's second year renting with Katy and Leif and won't be our last!

    Mina2019-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect place for our short winter escape with family. Great location central to town and lakes and nordic center and backcountry skiing. Love the simplicity, the open design, and all the games. The wood stove is excellent, can really control it. Katy & Leif were excellent in communicating with us on a very last-minute request in holiday season. We'll defiantly be back.

  • We had a great stay here. The house was very clean and well stocked. The living/dining/kitchen area was open, comfortable, and perfect for hanging out with our group. Plenty of beds and a nice view of the river, too.

  • This was my favored stay so far. Gorgeous views. Beautiful cozy home. Lots of amenities. Great areas to take walks. The bed was so comfortable. The kitchen was beautiful and well stocked. The tv is like a movie theatre. We saw tons of wildlife. So close to town but very private and quaint.

  • What a great, cozy little space in the woods! Loved the hot tub and the river view. Thanks for a fantastic stay!

    Andrea2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really neat place on the water and in a state forest. Everything is exactly as depicted in the listing. Be sure to print and use Heather's well written directions for access to the property.

  • Perfect little place for a weekend wedding in Seeley, thanks!

    Mike2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The "Guest Suite" at Elbow Lake, Montana was a delightful and authentic "Montana Experience," (from someone who lives in Montana!) Outstanding of the many amenities for me was the cozy and well-stocked patio/firepit with the scenic lake view and the sunset view from the funky and fun outdoor porch. Enjoyed seeing a visiting red fox and a gaggle of Canada geese fly-in. And the bed was like sleeping on a cloud! I hope to be able to stay again. Thank you!

    Michelle2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Make sure to follow her directions as they are key to finding her place. We lost signal on our way there and it was dark at night so it’s very easy to miss it. When you first make the turn to the property do not go to the farthest left path since it is a dead end and if you don’t have a bigger vehicle with good tires, you might not make it back to the top where you started since it has a very bumpy and steep road. It was a little spooky at night when we went to the hot tub but the night was nice and refreshing. When we woke up we looked at the backyard again to realize there was small lake in her backyard. Amazing views. We even got greeted by the dog last night. We have two labs at home and reminded us of our own pups.

    Anthony2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Heather's Airbnb description and photos are extremely accurate. The bed and mattress were extremely comfortable and we had an incredible night's sleep. The surroundings are very peaceful and serene. We enjoyed making dinner on the BBQ Grill and sitting on the deck having dinner and then sitting around a campfire enjoying the river and the beaver hut down below us. The kitchen supplies we're perfect for stay and the bathroom shower. We especially loved the outdoor sink for when we were grilling. Heather was a gracious host and very nice to talk to. Bottom line is we will definitely stay here again if we are heading to Seeley Lake.

  • This is a lovely spot! It's comfortable, quiet and remote, with a beautiful view of the lake and surroundings. There is a beaver dam nearby, lots of birds and also squirrels to watch. The road to the cabin is a little rough, but it's doable in a passenger vehicle (our Honda Fit was OK!) if you drive slowly. Heather was a very nice host!

  • 9 of us came down for a snowmobile trip, we stay in Seeley numerous times over the winter, and are always looking for new places to stay and experience, especially when our group ranges from 2-10 people depending on the trip. Only issue we had was it was insanely icy from the weather that weekend, and our trailer slipped off of the bank into the trees below the driveway. But the hosts were quick to help us out if we needed. Also, parking is great in the church parking lot, except for Sundays when the Church parking lot fills up quick, so make sure you are out of there and not leaving anything parked there. Over all, the home is massive, pictures do not do this place justice. Hope to stay here again.

    Crystal2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely and hospitable spot! We had more than enough space for the 10 folks that stayed here, and the hosts offered several thoughtful touches, like helpful directions and plenty of towels and blankets. The house was sparkling clean, with a lovely outdoor space.

    Julia2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • We were in town for work with big snowmobile trailers from 48 feet to 24. Plenty of parking. Definitely recommend!

  • I couldn't have asked for the best host. The apartment was much more then i had expected. Communication was absolutely smooth. We had a very rough go at start with some other place. We were very glad to have found this beautiful place and such welcoming. It was much more then i had expected. Will recommend to friends and plan to rent again for future trips.

  • Wow! We were greeted with kind hospitality and as soon as we walked in the door we loved the space! So beautifully furnished and a comfortable space. The view from the deck is amazing. Great breakfast with a homemade touch. This is definitely one to check out.

  • The BEST Airbnb we have ever stayed at! Both Scott and Ginger are wonderful hosts. Great views, close to the town, place was clean with lots of personal touches and a great continental breakfast. We are sure to return soon!

    Shauntel2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • If you love to be out in the quiet of nature, this is the place for you. We sat on the patio to read with the view of the mountains and trees. At night we went out to observe the stars without all the city lights that interfere. Beautiful, clean unit with many thoughtful added touches. Cereal, coffee, tea and some snacks were provided. We were offered a continental breakfast, also. Bed was very comfortable. Ginger and Scott are very welcoming. She even loaned her huckleberry picking bucket and bear spray to me.

    Karen2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • I had an awesome stay! Would definitely recommend staying here if you can!

    Christian2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Scott and Ginger are amazing hosts! They greeted me when I got to their beautiful home to show me around and make sure I knew where everything was and how to contact them if needed! The suite was spacious and clean! I had a busy weekend ahead, and coming back in the evening to a well lit entrance and an amazingly comfortable bed was just what I needed. The breakfast goodies were perfect to start my days! I couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful place to spend my weekend!!!

    Paulette2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Ginger and Scott went way over and above to make our stay comfortable, even adding a nursery with rocking chair for my daughter and grandson.

    Kathy2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our family really loved this place. The view was fanominal! It was neat and clean. We especially loved Gingers paintings throughout the place and her homemade goodies at breakfast. I would recommend it to anyone and will definitely stay there again on our next time through.

Welcome to the Hohnstead! Enjoy effortless star gazing without even lifting your head from the comforts of your own bed. This unique double see-through A-frame design allows for unparalleled views of nature and wildlife and is PET FRIENDLY! Romantic private dining awaits you on your elevated deck, overlooking acres and acres of untouched mountain forest. Feel secluded and relaxed in an outdoor hot tub, while sipping on a glass of a refreshing beverage. Pet fee =$25 for entire stay
In order to reach seclusion, there is a moderate to steep height hill from the parking lot which takes you to your unit. It takes about 1.5 minutes to get to the unit. You should be sure-footed. More images of the property are available @TheHohnstead on Instagram. "The Blind" is OFF GRID and there are certain concessions that we make in order to live on such a beautiful piece of property as this: a) Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a shower (we understand that it's not for everyone, but that is how we live out here OFF GRID.) b) Bathroom requires a short 1-minute walk UPHILL to an enclosed outdoor bathroom. There is a shared kitchen in the Commons Area, with a fridge, stove, etc as well as WIFI, local info, books, games and seating area for guests to enjoy. The night sky is full of stars like you've never seen before. Bring your camera to this picturesque spot! c) Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautifully Instagrammable animals such as deer, elk, and bear. All that said, bugs, flies and the occasional mouse might drop by to say hello too. We do our ABSOLUTE BEST (fly tape, traps, poison, ancient Blackfoot Indian chants) to make sure you won't see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula. Basically, this isn't your Grandad's Howard Johnson chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine is dictated by the sun.
Neighborhood ... what neighborhood? This is a family plot of 100+ acres. We do have two other Airbnbs strategically located on the property.
  • A great getaway!!

    Nathan2019-09-29T00:00:00Z

  • What a unique little gem. The Blind was charming, great for watching sunrises/sunsets. The hot tub was a real plus, it wasn’t too warm when we stayed so that really helped warm us up! Loved the sound of the rain against the room as we snuggled up and read a book with a cup of coffee. Jeff and Donna were amazing hosts!

    Kathleen2019-09-19T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautifully place!

    Stephanie2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible hospitality. Their land felt like my land for the weekend and it was hard to leave. I’m sure I’ll be back soon!

    Nicholas2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect.

    Tucker2019-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! Words can not describe what a perfect weekend we had once we arrived at Alla and Garrett’s bnb. We were met by Donna and Jeff, the parents of these two. They were so fun and welcoming, they made us feel right at home! I could go on for days about how wonderful they were! The land and the blind bnb were out of this world. All and all very simple. We had been camping for the last 8 days so arriving at the blind was the perfect in between! The space is well built and stunning. You feel like you are camping but I’d definitely call it glamping! We were fortunate to be the only ones there mid week so we got to sit in the hot tub under the stars all night! It was MAGICAL! If you are laid back, love Mother Nature, amazing people, sleeping under the stars than this is the spot for you! If you are high maintenance and need full amenities than you should pick a hotel! Bathroom is shared with other bnbs. But everything feels very private! We will be back many more times. This is a true slice of mountain paradise!

    Alicia2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Alla and Garrett are great hosts. Fast responses and always helpful! Their property is amazing and it was a great experience spending some time away from civilization! It's a very quiet and romantic place. Loved the sunsets and looking at stars at night from the cabin! I would definitely recommend to anyone!

  • Cindy’s place was a great stay! She greeted us upon arrival and showed us all that the space had to offer. The hot tub was a great addition to relax in and she had so many thoughtful touches around the house. She had baked goods and other food in the kitchen for breakfast. The banana bread was fantastic! Would definitely stay there again!

Simple bedroom, a double bed. Desk, chest of drawers, 2 rocking chair. The room is named Lilac Heaven because the owner has 13 varieties and 33 bushes of lilacs. These were planted in honor or her mother and grandmother. If you come between the end of April and the first of June you will see the blooming. All the pictures in the room are of her lilacs.
Full bathroom at top of stairs. This bathroom is not shared.
  • Look no further! Marilyn and Don are great hosts, with a great home, in a great location up the Rattlesnake. The private room and bathroom worked out great for my needs. Everything ended up being above what I expected. I would love to stay again some time if needed and I would definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for short or long term. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

  • This beautiful house was perfect or our family from New Orleans & Houston. It held all 3 of our families with ease. The area is beautiful and even if we didn't have family with a cabin a few miles away it would be a great place to see Elbow Lake, Salmon Lake, Seeley Lake, and the Blackfoot river. The home is in a quiet area yet easy to get to and find. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place in the area.

  • My stay at Flannery’s was brief, but a wonderful respite on my journey with my ‘little room with a view’ of the mountains. Tucked away in the woods yet convenient to town and the highway, Flannery’s home was the perfect place to stay. My room and other provisions were just as described in her posting, and I hope to return again someday to see what new transformations she’s made to the place! Thank you, again, Flannery, for accommodating me at the last minute and for all your little special touches of hospitality during my stay. You were a wonderful host!

    Sarah2019-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • Flannery’s place is a dream. It’s super clean, very stylish, and very comfortable to be in. She has filled the guest rooms with thoughtful touches that make you feel welcome and cared for. The value is excellent. The location, although outside of town, is close to nature and very quiet. I would 10/10 recommend staying at Flannery’s place.

    Dalaney2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • We liked Flannery's place and her hospitality so much, we booked another stay with her. Flannery does everything possible to make one feel comfortable and at home. Her place is located in a safe, quiet, peaceful area perfect for relaxing, but yet close to the city and all its amenities. We definitely recommend booking a stay at Flannery's home if you want accommodations in the Missoula, Montana area.

    William2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very friendly helpful host that communicated very fast. Amazing location in the nature and very interesting house design. • Clean cute cabin! Marcedas did a great job with directions, even sending helpful photos. It was very close to the canoe trail we kayaked and other activities.

    Hollie2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Marcedas provided us not only with written directions but also photos sent to my phone which helped us find her cabin. We wanted a relaxing, quiet stay which is exactly what she offers. The two deer that wandered next to the cabin while we enjoyed wine on the deck were our only visitors. The cabin has all the basics, plus a remodeled bathroom & premium linens. Having fresh air at night was a welcome change to relying on air conditioning.

Come to relax, unravel, take a deep breath, and recharge your soul in quiet comfort. Lying at the border of a wild corridor, yet only 15 minutes from Missoula or the airport our cabin was skillfully crafted from giant hand-hued logs to create a sweet, delightful space. You'll find it clean and cozy, with Fast Wifi! Bright and airy, and a lovely place for romantic escapes, or sweet reunions with old friends and family!
***Due to the coronavirus, we're taking extra care to disinfect frequently touched surfaces between reservations. I have removed decorative pillows and accents that can't be washed in hot water. *** This is a simple, happy, comfortable home...not another cookie-cutter stripped down hotel room. Its fun but simple decor, reflects the natural beauty and serenity of all that surrounds you. You'll feel far away from the hurried world, yet only 5 miles to the freeway, 10 miles to grocery stores, Farmers Market, Costco, museums, restaurants and breweries. The cabin sits on a one acre meadow and although there are other homes around the property you will rarely see or hear a sound from people. We love our privacy and peace! You don't have access to creek frontage but there are multiple rivers nearby. Our valley is a playground for brown and black bear families, turkeys, raccoons, and deer. It really belongs to the, and you’ll sense that as you drive up Grantcreek Road and turn your back to the city. This beautiful drainage follows a year round bubbling creek and open fields with elk grazing next to cattle in season. The quiet peaceful valley is the wrapping on the package and the cabin surrounded by mountains with sweet views is our gift. When you open the door, you'll find a spacious, yet cozy, living room, high cathedral ceilings and a lively gas fireplace. You can choose the comfortable couch, or two high back arm chairs to curl up in after a long day of exploring! On cool evenings, the fire light flickers and dances throughout the house and you may want to bring sleep masks! The moon often floods the cabin with light and the sun from dawn till 10pm in the summer! We provide linens and towels, WIFI, Smart TV with Netflicks. (No local TV.) We have a washer/dryer, with detergent, and an iron & board. Create simple snacks or fabulous feasts in the well-equipped, thoughtfully stocked full kitchen and outdoor grill when the bears are not a problem. (The bear and raccoon population will be attracted to the grease and smells so we ask that you use the tin foil provided and take the grease back inside the cabin or to the bear proof garbage can.) The cabinets are stocked with spices and oils and just about everything you might need to cook a meal. We stock coffee and tea, quality pots and pans, knives and utensils, a blender, hand mixer, and even a crockpot! The open floor plan allows you to chat and socialize while you cook, and a large table encourages great conversations. There is one full bath downstairs with a walk in shower downstairs, and a HALF bath in the loft. The open loft master bedroom features a queen sized bed (Saatva mattress), with an all season down comforter. (Alternative down upon request). Even in the middle of August, our nights are cool. The 12 inch logs act as great natural insulators from the warm days so if you close the windows and pull the shades before 10am it rarely gets too warm inside. The ceiling fan moves the warm air down summer and winter, and we can provide other fans if you feel the need. A freestanding closet, drawers at the base of your bed and bedside tables provide storage. The queen sofa bed is confirmed to be comfortable as well, so whether you are upstairs or down we think you'll find both lovely to fall asleep in, and wake up to! We do welcome children who are old enough to be safe in the house, so please contact us if you believe they are. We know how precious family time is! I have a nasty allergy to dog and cat dander so I can not accommodate them as I am the maid as well. Thank you for your understanding. We provide all the essential amenities and more. God has provided everything else, like sweet natural well water, and fresh mountain air! Thank you for considering us! Robin
We live surrounded by wildlife and we ask that you never leave garbage or food outside your door at night. Keep car windows up if there is food inside as well. The bears and raccoons have never proven to be aggressive to this point because we are vigilant. We like to think our opening this Airbnb will not disrupt the animals that call our valley home. Deer, wild turkeys, bears are common sighted spring thru late fall, and we do have a mountain lion year round, but it is very elusive and never posed a threat to us. The bears are wild and will run away if they see you. But they are comfortable walking down the road or playing in the yard if they don’t know you are watching
  • Robin was so helpful, and her cabin was fantastic! Convenient to town, but hidden away so you feel like your far from everything.

  • One of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed! It snowed our entire trip and the many large windows give you a great view to enjoy the weather while still staying warm by the fire. Very close to Snow Bowl ski resort which is great for a beer, and many other amazing activities in the local area as well.

  • Amazing place for a couple. Out of the way from everything. Making your stay so very comfortable. Definition of “home away from home”. Amenities, cleanliness, atmosphere and hospitality was amazing and perfect!!!!

  • Very clean and lots of thoughtful touches! I would definitely stay again!

  • What a wonderful experience! The hosts went beyond what we expected. Beautiful room, everything was extremely clean. It was easy to know what to do, the hosts provided instructions and signs along with magazines and brochures for ideas of things to do around Missoula. Hosts provided great amenities and even left home made goodies for us! I would highly recommend quiet and beautiful surroundings.

  • This is our second stay at "The Stay". It didn't disappoint. Having stayed before, there was no stress around what we'd find, what was included, etc. Our son is in college there so having the washer/dryer was a HUGE benefit! Fresh eggs, fruit and creamer in the fridge, and the incredible baklava as usual. Highly recommend "The Stay" in Missoula!

    Ed2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • I really loved this place! It is one of the best Airbnbs we have stayed at. It was very clean and they had lots of cute touches, like little signs and tiny snacks and breakfast foods. They even left some soaps for us to use for laundry. It was very kind! The place was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. They had everything we needed to cook a pasta dinner and steak. It was a great experience ! I definitely recommend it if you're visiting missoula !

    Ella2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely space with so many amenities! You can tell the hosts take a lot of pride in this space and in providing a lovely stay for guests. Highly recommended!

As a young child, did you ever dream of staying in a shed seasonally dedicated to young plants and old tools? Me neither, but at the same time, I never dreamed of staying in a cement box next to other cement boxes, paying hotel prices. The juxtaposition of what we are offering is special: A unique place to enjoy days and nights with the trees and wildlife that make Montana "The last best place," all the while close to creature comforts like AC, TV, Internet, refrigeration, shared kitchen space
Located only 8 miles from Kettlehouse Amphitheater and 25 minutes from Missoula, the Shed is your getaway from it all. Wilderness - check! The serenity of the mountains - check! Rustling of the wind - check! Endless sky of stars - check! Fantastic views from your bed - check! This is why people come to Montana in the first place. We would know having hosted folks from as close as Missoula to as far as Scotland and all points in between. Unsurprisingly, no one wants to leave. What a compliment! Living in the mountains on such an insanely beautiful piece of land, we have to make a few concessions: a) Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictates your ability to take a shower (we understand that it's not for everyone). b) Bathroom requires a short 30-second walk to a quaint outhouse. c) Being in the mountains, we share the space with beautifully Instagrammable animals such as deer, elk, and bear. All that said, we also share it with less sexy bugs, flies and the occasional mouse. Some of them might even have the audacity to drop by to say hello too. We do our ABSOLUTE BEST (fly tape, traps, poison, ancient Blackfoot Indian chants) to make sure you won't see them. However, If even the prospect of the sight or sound of the occasional bug or mouse puts a burr under your saddle, we kindly suggest that you book a chain hotel in the big city of Missoula. d) There is a STRICT NO OUTDOOR FIRE on this property and mountain! We'd be pretty sad, maybe even as far as mad, if you burnt down western Montana :( e) Why the 4 day minimum? We look at The Shed as the perfect place for writers, thinkers, star gazer and dreamers to power down the engines and enjoy some peace and quite out in the mountains for an extended time at a bargain price. If 4 nights is too much of a commitment for you, we recommend looking at any of the 3 other units. The night sky is full of stars like you've never seen before. Bring your camera to this picturesque spot! Basically, this isn't your Grandad's Howard Johnson chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun. If "The Shed" is not your cup of Montana brew, then try one of our other two units: "The Shanty" https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/16989109?s=51 "The A-frame" https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/22440493?s=51
Neighborhood? What neighborhood? This is a 100-acre family plot. It's you, me and the other three AirBnbs units spaced out on the property :)
  • Lovely space. The design of the shed is very cozy and cute. It’s a lovely property away from the busyness of the city. It’s a great place to stay. I would definitely come back

    Anthony2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • I imagine it’s a difficult balance when hosting to make sure that you give the folks who have come to the middle of nowhere the space they need to unwind but also that you be open, available and gracious. Alla and Garrett make a great team. They share everything that is theirs with their guests, give plenty of space but are also quick to reply with suggestions above and beyond what they’ve included on their helpful list of things to do in the area. They are enthusiastic, open-minded and interesting people who really care about connecting with others. The spaces are well-designed, and the amenities (fridge shelf, plates and cutlery, towels, flashlight, etc.) are thoughtful. You can tell they’ve done this before and have taken feedback very seriously. Make sure you get a tour of the property; what they have built is amazing! I hope to come back and see them in a summer to come and stay in The Blind!

  • If you’re looking for a unique and charming experience, this is the place for you! Located within 30 minutes of Missoula on the hills about the Blackfoot, this provides an awesome opportunity to get more in touch with the nature beautiful Montana! We stayed here for the Missoula Marathon and it allowed us the best of both worlds- the outdoors and quick access to town. We loved our stay, the charming room, the hospitality and adventure that this place gave us! Alla and Garrett are friendly and helpful! Such an awesome experience!

    Solana2019-07-01T00:00:00Z
  • The shed was great, and the location is picturesque. We saw elk on the property and many great sunsets. Alla and Garrett were very helpful and friendly. We couldn’t have asked for a better Montana experience!

    Lacey2019-06-27T00:00:00Z
  • Very sweet people! Outstanding hospitality! Breathtaking location! Awesome homemade beer! Alla and garret are incredibly thoughtful and the place is great if you wanna be in a beautiful spot with good vibes in the mountains.

    Triona2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what I was looking for -- a simple, yet unique, getaway from the city. There is an undeniable positive energy up here. The hosts and the land are incredibly beautiful and serene. One of my favorite travel experiences to date! Will definitely be back. Thanks again, Garrett and Alla!

Ask any ❓❔❓s We hope you pick ⛏ us, as we'd be lucky ☘ to host you ☺ Safe Travels ✈⛽⛴
Our hot tub is down for repairs for the rest of the winter or until I remove this. So sorry for the inconvenience. These things happen though I suppose! We hope to still be able to host you. Thanks! Create lasting memories in our modern, luxurious, and fun couple's getaway. This studio is located on North Reserve St, a 3 minute walk from shops and restaurants. The unit's interior has been updated and is perfect for 1 or 2 people. Enjoy a beautiful atmosphere, comfy bed, great shower, Netflix, and Amazon's "Alexa". Outside, enjoy a unique wood-fired redwood hot tub experience. See why we're one of Missoula's top Airbnb's for couples. You are sure to have a fun and memorable experience. Right after you book I'll send you over a walkthrough video that'll explain the neighborhood/area, show you the street, parking, property, and unit. It'll also go over instructions for the hot tub. Please watch these videos so you know what to expect and how to best plan for your stay! The vibe: modern luxury. Aesthetically pleasing color scheme and finishes. We tried to create an environment that appealed to all of the senses. From the tealight candle wall feature to the antique washtub converted into a kitchen sink to the fluffy towels to the gorgeous wood kitchenette, you'll really enjoy the vibe that has been created here. Technology/Entertainment: Wireless internet. A Smart TV hooked up to a smart Blu-ray/DVD player. So the system is really smart I guess. You'll have access to our Netflix account and a few DVDs. There are some board games. On one side of the bed is a USB charging outlet and we'll have a few chords in there for charging your devices. And one of our favorite features of this space is "Alexa" hooked up to a waterproof bluetooth speaker. Alexa will be your DJ and entertainment for the evening. To learn more about what fun things you can do with "her" look up the Alexa User Guide on Amazon. Bed: Double bed. Cozy for 2 people. Underneath the comfortable bedding is a 2" lavender infused memory foam pad. Bathroom/Laundry: Updated bathroom. New vanity and nice lighting. Roomy tub/shower with nice shower head which is elevated above normal height and also portable. Memory foam bath mat. You'll have access to shampoo and body wash. The bathroom has a washer and dryer in it with detergent and dryers sheets provided. There is also a 4' wide closet rod w/ 2 shelves in the bathroom. This is the best "storage" in the space for your clothing and bags. Kitchenette/Dining: Small kitchenette. Mini fridge. Microwave. 3-Quart Super Pot with Grill Plate. Keurig coffee maker. Also you'll have access to a french press pot with electric kettle for tea and coffee. There is silverware, plates, bowls, glassware, wine and shot glasses available for you to use. There's a bar height table with 2 stools for you to sit/eat at. Outside: There's a large yard you'll have access to. Out the backside of our property is a gate that leads you through a little shrub tunnel which pops out directly behind a large commercial shopping center. Cold Stone ice cream is our favorite place to walk to, it's quite literally right out our back yard. There are also lots of restaurants and shops in that shopping center. Right off of this unit is a covered patio. At night it's well it up with string lights. On the patio there's a propane bbq grill you can use. There's also a wood/charcaol fire pit you can use for a fire or to grill on if you prefer to not use gas. And then the one of a kind redwood wood-fired hot tub. One thing to know with this hot tub is that it's not like a traditional electric hot tub. Don't expect to just show up and hop in there. View it more like an experience. From start to finish. The water sits at between 45 and 60 degrees when not in use (colder in the winter). So in order to get it up above 100 degrees it will require heating the water with a fire in a wood stove that sits in the water. We will have wood ready and send you instructions on how to get the fire going and get it up to temperature. On average it takes about 3.5-4 hours to heat the water from its sitting temperature up to above 100 degrees. This is why I say to view the whole thing as an experience. From starting the fire, to adding wood to the stove every 30 minutes or so, to stirring the water to distribute the heated water evenly around the tub, to finally enjoying the fruits of your labor. While you're soaking enjoy a nice string-lit area, or turn off the lights and enjoy the stars above. We also have a line up of essential oils for some aromatherapy. And bring Alexa outside along with the waterproof floating bluetooth speaker so you can have music playing. When you're done, enjoy a fluffy robe. The whole experience with this hot tub is unique and memorable. You will love it, as long as you know what to expect and go into it with the right frame of mind. ⚠Note: please let us know if you'd like to reserve the hot tub for the evening. This is to ensure that it's clean and that we have enough wood for you for the evening. If I don't hear from you that you'd like to use the hot tub, there's a chance that it might not be available for you to use during your stay. Parking: There is parking outside of the fence to our property, just off the street. You'll see signs designating where to park. If you need more private parking, we can open the double gates and you can park in the driveway.. Storybook: Please share with us about your experience in our "Write your story" notebook. We'd love to build a log from all of our guests about how their experience was in this space. Thanks! After your stay, please leave us a 5-star review ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐if you think we deserved it! If you don't think we deserved it or if we dropped the ball on something (we try hard not to, but it does happen from time to time), please leave us feedback through a message on the app. We are always open to hearing how we can do better as hosts and create a better experience for our guests. Thanks so much for considering our Couple's Getaway for your stay here in Missoula, Montana! Matt and Ahni 4 kids: Izac, Ileana, Alli, and Ellamae 2 dogs: Max and Raider Cheers!
We are sandwiched between a huge commercial shopping center and a KOA. So there's a lot going on around us. But, once you're in the space/yard, it definitely feels like you're away from it all, in a private/secluded setting. Also, our main home is a manufactured home converted into a duplex. And the street that we are on does have a row of other manufactured homes as well. Some of our guests have called this a "trailer park" in their reviews. We aren't in a trailer park. We own our home and our land. So do our neighbors. And the guest house unit that you're in is in a completely separate building that is not a manufactured home. I just thought I'd share that in case this sort of thing bothers you.
  • Great place! Super clean and cozy. We were down visiting family and location was great. Super close to stores and restaurants! I would definitely recommend booking! Also we brought along out 1.5 year old Getman sheaperd and finding a dog friendly space can be hard sometimes, but this really was a dog friendly place! Thankyou Matt &Ahni

  • The apartment of Matt & Ahni is 100 % recomendable. I stayed almost 3 weeks and the time flew away, I feel like I was at home. One thing I love is that I was a 1 min from the bus stop and 15 min walking from the main shops in the area. The communication with the owner was easy and fast. I can’t find anything negative. I’ll stay again there if I need it.

  • Matt and Ahni are lovely hosts. The informational video was appreciated. This is a funky, fun place for a single or couple. Loved the interior and though I didn’t need to use it, having a washer and dryer is a plus! It also had the added benefit of being pet friendly and though I didn’t have a dog, my son who lives in Missoula does, and it was nice to be able to have him stop for a visit and bring his sweet girl with him. I would definitely stay again when in the area!

The upstairs of our 1890's farm house home will make you feel you are in an airy treehouse. In the spring you can hear the creek roaring nearby. In winter you can often sled down to Greenough Park. We are walking distance from great coffee & bakeries, the downtown and the University. Hiking trails are nearby. Good skiing both cross country and down-hill are within 45 minutes from the house. In the summer when the garden is full swing, and depending on when you are here, you might be able pick fresh raspberries, or peaches, or some Arugula for your salad. Chic is a bee keeper and will happily suit you up to visit the hives. He speaks Mandarin and French, Nancy speaks Spanish and we love hosting international guests as well as people from around the states. We'll supply you with locally roasted coffee and a French Press, and homemade jam and our own honey for your toast in the morning. We have 3 picnic tables around the place, a lovely back porch and gardens you are free to meander around. Beware the garden and bees - because of bears the fence is electrified, so be sure we’ve turned off the electric fence before going to pick peas ! And speaking of electricity, the upstairs is air conditioned and you control the settings. Please do try to remember to turn it off when you leave.
The Rattlesnake Valley is within the city limits, close to downtown, about a 20 minute walk away. In that amount of time you can walk to the U or up to the top of Waterworks Hill, which gives a lovely view of the city and surrounding mountains. One of the amazing things about Missoula is the amount of public space surrounding it. Almost all of the mountainous land around the city is dedicated “open space” and provides great walking / hiking.
  • We came to Missoula for the weekend and Nancy's place was perfect for the occasion. We found a cozy, welcoming home tucked away in a quiet neighborhood but close to downtown. Hope to come back soon.

  • I stayed at Marilyn's place with my dog for two nights, and it was really spacious yet cozy. It's super cold in Montana when I stayed, but the fireplace in the suite made it super warm and comfortable downstairs. There was also a kitchenette along with a Keurig machine that has everything you need. The bathroom is really spacious, and the bed has a nice firm mattress. There is also plenty of table space for meals and doing work. The wifi is super quick too! I also needed to do laundry, and Marilyn kindly allowed me to use their washer/dryer. If you have a dog, the side yard is great for a potty break, and there is a nice trail right down the road. Also, their dog Maxx is the absolute sweetest pup!!! I would highly recommend staying at Marilyn's home!

Besides enjoying a private suite with bath, guests have full use of the kitchen and common areas. The living room has a pool table, and on the deck a hot tub is operational all year. Great spot to take in Montana's big sky and millions of stars on a clear night. Your host offers gourmet breakfasts. If you plan to visit Glacier and Yellowstone parks you will find restful accommodations and splendid views of the mountains at our ranch.
When you stay at our ranch, you're home. Your room has a very comfortable queen bed and a bathroom with shower. The ranch is surrounded by national forest and is near a wilderness area. You will enjoy watching ponies and many species of wildlife. You may also spot trout in the creek that flows near the home. It's old-fashioned Montana, yet the city of Missoula with restaurants and many activities is only 20 minutes away. We just installed a geothermal heating/cooling system which makes this large home very cozy on winter days and the hot summer days. Special treat in winter is to crosscountry ski from the home into the meadows. In the summer many hiking opportunities.
Our valley lets you discover Montana as you dream of it. Beauty, peace and serenity. And so many ways to connect with nature.

  • Tara's place is amazing, right on the water and really close to Seeley for anything you need.

  • Great place to stay but would of been better if we had a TV.. very quite restful cabin ..

    Vivian2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic beach, spacious cabin and hospitality that goes above and beyond!

    Erika2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Everything we could have hoped for in a lakefront vacation rental. Bridget was very easy and quick to communicate with, and the home was spotless. Comfy beds, kayaks and canoes, and an outstanding lakefront spot in beautiful Seeley Lake. Easy access to town for ice cream!

    Leigh2019-08-20T00:00:00Z
  • These were the greatest hosts we’ve ever encountered on Airbnb. They were incredibly generous and available to answer any questions. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home. The location was stunning, with a dock and boats and gorgeous lake. The house was beautiful and cozy. We left feeling completely restored. We will definitely return!

    Elli2019-06-16T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic spot on the lake! We did a winter trip, and despite the fact that it was incredibly cold outside, the cabin was warm and perfect. Can’t wait to come back!

    Gabe2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic lakeside location. Kind, trusting, welcoming hosts. Great book collection. Very comfortable cabin and beds. Book it - you wont' regret it.

    Julie2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • What a quaint, adorable cabin. It reminds me of A frame cabins in Norther Minnesota. It has all the modern things you might need so no roughing it. Also a well stocked kitchen for cooking and nice grill. It is a great place to relax with a sand beach and close to hiking and also to town. The woods around the cabin is quite magical with deer everywhere.

    Courtney2018-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful visit. The house description and photos are very accurate. The house has a great beach with real sand. The water is pretty shallow off of the beach and was perfect for our little kids. There is ample yard space and a great fire area for evening fires / making s'mores. We would definitely go back!

Our private studio will comfortably sleep 3. It is in the heart of the Rattlesnake recreation corridor as well as 5 minutes from the UM and downtown by bus or car. Enjoy the great neighborhood market and cafe a block away during your stay.
Our basic studio apartment was newly constructed several years ago. We strive to keep it stocked with all of the comforts of home. Brew a fresh cup of coffee in your kitchen or walk to the neighborhood coffee shop just 1 block away. Between the queen bed and the full-sized futon in the living room the apartment can comfortably fit 3 adults or adults with children.
The Rattlesnake is the gateway to the Rattlesnake Wilderness and many outdoor activities. We are also convenient to the interstate and the downtown area. Rattlesnake Gardens, a fantastic neighborhood restaurant and grocery, is 1 block walk away. Their menu is posted on their facebook page. They also offer espresso, delicious daily lunch and dinner specials, breakfast specials on weekends, as well as some staples for your stay. We are located on a dead-end street across from a horse pasture. There is a great playground and walking path along the river 4 blocks from our home.
  • Rachel’s Place offers peace and quiet in a great location (close to downtown and activity venues.) The house was very clean and comfortable. I especially enjoyed that there was no clock (other than the one on the microwave) which served as a good reminder to relax. Soaking in the hot tub under a full moon was a bonus! Great place, great hospitality and a great overall experience. Highly recommend and I plan to stay again.

    Will2020-03-10T00:00:00Z
  • It's great! Hot tub under the full moon, all things you need and if you need another pot, they lend us one. Very friendly and helpful.

    Malin2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The studio was lovely - lots of space. I enjoyed the hot tub under the stars, as promised. Rachel also gave me a ride into town, which was incredibly sweet of her. Great stay!

    Emma2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel was quick with her responses and accommodating. She went the extra mile to contact me and let me know of a few items that we left behind and even offered to send them to us. We were more than happy with our time spent in the space and would love to return! This is a perfect space for those looking to get away and enjoy some privacy (the hot tub is a plus too!).

    Stephanie2020-01-22T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a lovely getaway with deer ready to greet you at the front yard and an amazing hot tub nestled at the foothills of snow covered mountains and trees

    Jonathan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute!

    Jade2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • this house was perfect for our family of three. Also, you can't beat a hot tub on a snowy winter night!

    Justine2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Rachel and Mike are fantastic! They not only shared some food and treats with us over Thanksgiving, but went above and beyond to give my partner and I access to the infamous film "The River Runs Through" and purchased it for us on their account, with no hesitation. AMAZING place. We felt very cared for and respected.

This is a split-entry home. You and your guests have full access to the shared downstairs, the walk-out patio, the deck, and the shared kitchen upstairs. Once you enter the house, head downstairs. Queen of the Rattlesnake is the door on the right (SW corner, back of house) as you look to your left down the short hallway. The dead-end street offers quiet evenings, and convenient access to the Rattlesnake River and Mount Jumbo. This is not a "party house."
Two tandem bicycles are available for pedals downtown or up into the Rattlesnake wilderness (price negotiable).
Quiet. Private. Great access to river and mountain.
  • The room was just what I needed; a local clean room for a one night with a host that was accessible.

    Amy J2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoy my time staying at Bradley’s place. Clean space and very good communication by him. Only downside was I had very little phone service out there but everything else was up to part. Would recommend.

  • Fantastic location - close to downtown, but off the path enough to give the neighborhood a quiet and friendly feel. Next to the epic Rattlesnake Trail and the very cozy Rattlesnake Market - lucked into some live local music when I stopped in for dinner.

Welcome to the Hohnstead! Relive summer camps of yore at this transforming PET-FRIENDLY(*) glamping getaway, only 20 minutes outside of Missoula. Surround yourself with tranquility and wildlife as you enjoy pure simplicity inside this quirky and secluded dwelling. A solar outdoor shower, bathroom, and Wi-fi are within a 1-minute walk. Book now or add us to your wishlist! "What a magical place, set in gorgeous lands, with amazing views, an experience not to be missed” * pet cleaning fee $25
More images of the property are available @TheHohnstead on Instagram. The A-Frame is OFF GRID and there are certain concessions that we make in order to live on such a beautiful piece of property as this: a) Solar shower facility is available and depends largely on the weather conditions. It is outdoors, which means that THE SHOWER HEATS UP FROM THE SUN. You must be flexible as the sunshine and the weather dictate your ability to take a shower (we understand that it's not for everyone, but that is how we live out here OFF GRID.) b) The bathroom requires a short 1-minute walk to an enclosed outdoor bathroom. In the Commons Area there is a shared kitchen with a fridge, stove, oven, BBQ as well as WIFI, local info, games and books. Basically, this isn't your Grandad's Howard Johnson chain hotel experience, in this space and on this property you'll be reminded of the simplicity of life, the stillness of nature and the pureness of your routine being dictated by the sun.
What "neighborhood"? This is a family plot of 100+ acres, nestled in the forests and Mountains on Gold Creek and within 10 minutes of Blackfoot river. Talk about peace and quiet!
  • Loved our little A-frame cabin. We were there in September so it wasn't always sunny enough to get a warm shower, but we knew this was a possibility. Not a big deal - we ended up stopping at a KOA and paying a few $$ for a hot shower one night. Beautiful setting, wonderful hosts. Would absolutely visit again.

  • If you’re looking for the perfect weekend getaway this is the place to go!

    Gabe2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Alla and Garrett’s way to describe the location is not only hilarious but 100% easy to find. You’ll be safe here, we promise ;) We stayed at the A-frame and it was perfect! Donna greeted us (Garrett’s mom) and she was wonderful. We later on met Jeff (Garrett’s dad) and he was a hoot! He had ya laughing so much and we had great conversations with them. I have tendencies of looking at every detail and the tiny yet super comfy cabin was just perfect. They are so detailed and clean! We had so much fun on their property. Their hot tub was amazing too with those views. The roll out bed was perfect to cuddle with my hubby. They pay attention to detail which we loved! We cannot wait to come back in the spring. Thank you Donna and Jeff for being such wonderful guests! We felt as we were part of the family.

  • We loved it here! The woods are so peaceful and beautiful, and it's a really great location. Cute and comfy a-frame, and the home-made honey from their bees was a great touch and was delicious in my coffee! Thanks!

  • Cute, cozy, stylish cabin on a beautiful property! The owners are super friendly and accommodating, and the A Frame was full of thoughtful touches (good coffee, cooking equipment, etc.) to make our stay more enjoyable. Doesn’t get much better than this!

  • Great location, easy access. Simple, clean, but exactly what I was looking for. Very good communication and would definitely stay again.

    Larniegrl2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Cabin #4 was a fun clean little space just right for our one night. Fall colors were beautiful. Wood was there for the stove and kept us cozy. Bathrooms were great. Rec room was fun. Might have to come back to check out the ski trails.

    Sue2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a perfect spot to find peace and quietness. The cabins are lovely and the forest is sublime. Thanks for having us!

    Claire2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was clean, spacious, and also contained a full fridge/freezer. The bathroom was a short walk away from my cabin, so if you need to be closer I would recommend requesting Cabins 1-4 if possible. I only stayed for one night, and it was exactly what I needed: a clean, dry space with a bath/shower nearby.

    Courtney2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Lubrecht Forest is beautiful with trails to hike and explore, or to just sit and relax and enjoy the scenery. The cabin was super clean and comfortable and linens were provided. The bath house was sparkling clean and the showers were great! Communication with the host was responsive, check-in was easy, and the map that was sent made it easy to find my way around. I am a lone traveler and I felt safe here. I would highly recommend it if you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to stay in a cabin in the woods.

Welcome to our LandfillFree AirBnb. Our community house operates on a sustainable structure and towards a goal of being completely zero waste by 2018. Our theory is that we can also operate as an ethically profitable AirBnB, and we look forward to hosting you in this experimental design. There are two separate listings. Yours is the private room with a king bed on the left downstairs. This is not a "party house."
This is a private room downstairs on the left with a king bed. The room is uncarpeted with a window to the front yard. The split entry home allows for great interaction among owner, caretaker, and guests. The entire downstairs is yours for living, including the den, outside fire pit, community garden and workspace area. Wifi is free and included in pricing. The downstairs bathroom has a full bath and shower and is shared among all AirBnb guests. Our quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am. Working hours are 9am to 5pm. Guests are invited to engage as a community through all of the home during non-quiet hours, but are asked to be considerate of working hours. We insist that you do not bring alcohol onto the premises or return obviously intoxicated. Upstairs area is restricted during quiet hours. We look forward to your stay in our Landfillfree AirBnb. As a guest you are an important part to our sustainability, and we appreciate your contribution. Thank you for helping us encourage a sustainable future.
On a quiet dead-end street, the house is in a quiet neighborhood with lots of children and pets. Please be respectful of noise and interactions on the street.
