Our Cottages are situated on the grounds of an antebellum home. The home was built in the 1800’s and has a lot of classical charm. We have a pool and lots of lounging spaces around the grounds. Our cottages are decorated with antiques and each have their own unique setting.
Our neighborhood is really old. It has some beautiful and some not so scenic areas. We have had some complaints about the area. There are 4 old mansions in the area that are rented as BnBs. We want to be transparent about the train as well. I love trains and it is an awesome unique attraction to me, but light sleepers should think about it.
  • Better than advertised. Perfect for couples.

    Andy2020-05-04T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and quaint to place for a couple to stay. Beautiful gardens surround to sit out and enjoy a beverage of choice!

    Justin2020-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • I really enjoyed my stay at the cottage. Very cozy and has historic aesthetics. Also was pleased with being by the train tracks, it wasnt bothersome for me through the stay. Daisy and steven were very welcoming, great with communicating and have a beautiful historic property. Would love to stay here again.

    Madison2020-04-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was adorable with antique charm. It was easy to check in and everything I needed was in the cabin such as snacks, hairdryer, local tips, etc. I would definitely stay here again!

  • #4 Flowerree cottage is a lovely little room on the gounds of an 1860 mansion. Small but very comfortable, and in an excellent location as to convenience to downtown and historic Vicksburg and all around the area. There is an active freight rail line 75 yards away from the cottage, and you KNOW it when a train is coming and going, but if you like trains (I do) it is not the least disturbing. The train does NOT sound its whistle going by, which is good. The room is very nicely decorated with period furnishings and there is a combination bathroom sink/counter top witn small undercounter refrigerator and microwave. The below window air conditioner and heater does a good job for that size room. The shower and tub are amazing ~ great shower with lots of hot water and tremendous volume, the kind of shower you can just relax in all day. The front porch and grounds and absolutely lovely. A good value! I was there a week and wished I could have stayed longer.

  • This is a nice little place to crash. Safe, clean and inexpensive. It was perfect for the 4 of us who stayed there. Jeanie was responsive and worked with us when we needed to add a day. If we do this show next year, we will consider this house agin.

    Beth2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jeanie’s place was clean and easy to find and access. It was perfect as a stop on a road trip with my dog!

    Daniela2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • I would say let your expectations be guided by the price. The home is comfortable and clean, and it has the basic gear one needs to cook meals. The neighborhood is mixed in terms of how well the houses are maintained, but those kinds of issues don't bother me. Generally, the neighbors were quiet, except for a modest amount of music playing on Saturday night. Earplugs solved the problem for me. We walked the neighborhood every day, and my sister and I never felt unsafe. Our host, Jeanie, was prompt in answering our questions, and she was very accommodating to our crazy travel schedule. I would stay at the Oak Street house again.

    Judy2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • Charming neighborhood, quaint little house, nice view of the Mississippi River! We really enjoyed the house... warm and rustic! Great wifi connection. Jeanie was a fabulous host for us... hands on, great communication, and a bunch of great tips & pointers on what to see in Vicksburg during our short stay!! Multiple Thumbs-Up!! We will be back... -Scott, Amy, Chloe and Theo

  • Jeanie was an amazing host. She was quick to get back to me. I was on the road and requested her house and in less than an hour I had a reply. She had many suggestions to explore in Vicksburg. I only had a day , but hope to come back one day. Thanks for the great experience. The house was clean and perfect for what I wanted . Dog friendly too, take care, Josh

The Carriage House was renovated in 2018 and is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a short or long stay!
Our home is located in the Historic Fostoria neighborhood on Drummond Street. There are beautiful homes and friendly neighbors close by. We are close to downtown, but in a residential area. Although we are close to downtown (about a 1/2 mile), a car is recommended to get around the area. There are hills in Vicksburg!
  • This place is very spacious, well decorated, and very clean! It has a very nice yard if you want to lay out a blanket or put some lawn chairs out. It had great amenities and also small touches that really make you feel at home.

  • What a lovely place! Great private location. Bed & bedding were fabulous! Loved having the kitchen & living room area. Elizabeth responded right away when we asked for “local” advice & when we had a couple of check in questions. We will definitely be back! Tip: if you are planning to visit the battlefield, make an appointment with a battlefield guide. The person rides in your car with you as you tour & make stops. Sooo worth the $50 fee. We learned so much & it made the visit even more meaningful. Vicksburg is a nice little town. We plan to visit again. Mike & Beth

Mound is a small village, established by the Yerger family in the late 1800's, directly across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg, MS. Only 1/2 mile from Interstate 20, its nestled quietly in the Louisiana delta while only 8 minutes from all of the amenities of a bustling city. The home was built as a hotel in the 1890's and is situated on a 6 acre property surrounded by agriculture and pecan trees. Horses are on the premises for petting, bees for spectating and a pool for warm summer days.
The space offers one king size bed with a full bathroom across the hall. You are welcome to use the living room which is located in the same area of the house. Although there is no TV in the bedroom the living room TV offers access to Netflix, Hulu, and many other apps. High speed internet is available also.
We are situated on a 6 acre property, surrounded by other historic homes with deep, well manicured yards and agriculture. As the place was a part of a depot at one time, it sits next to a train track, but we have not had a guest that didnt sleep right through the nightly train. The entire community brings a sense of nostalgia upon seeing it.. ** pool is closed as of October 01st **
  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Brad's place all weekend and it was A W E S O M E. His family is so precious, and their dog was lots of fun. He gave us tips on places to go and eat which was super helpful and they all turned out good. 10/10 would recommend.

    Charity2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Bradley and Callie are just the most friendly and generous hosts. They opened their incredible family home and hearts in a genuine way that makes me feel they could be friends forever. Cheeto the orange cat was even amiable with my poodle Lulu. They were VERY accomodating of my needs and helpful. Gorgeous decor in a historic home... the BEST king bed, linens and pillows I'v ever had in all my stays ... cute artsy touches. Pride in their home shows at every corner. I wished I could have enjoyed the setting (including pool and 6 acres) longer. I highly recommend their accomodation... esp if a shared setting works for you (private bedroom with seperate bathroom across hall). Just off the freeway with easy access outside of Vicksburg makes this a great stay for long distance travelers or a fun getaway.

    Marianne2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Southern hospitality, attentive hosts, great conversation, gorgeous house, & luxurious bed. We were blessed to see a Red Fox late in the morning while petting the horses. Stay here!!!

  • Very nice place. Very clean and such a unique place. Extremely welcoming. Bed was comfortable and breakfast was really good.

  • Wonderful place just outside of town with great hosts. Place has a big porch where we sat in the evening having appies, wine and cigars. Rooms is big with a comfortable bed and an extra touch of chocolates and bottled water. The hosts know the area well and provided suggestions of things to see and do, where to eat, etc. A wonderful place to escape from the city. Highly recommend staying here.

    S2019-11-20T00:00:00Z
  • Can't say enough about this place. We arrived tired and ready for a rest. That is exactly what we were able to do. The family makes you feel so comfortable. The bed was very comfortable and after a good night's sleep, we were given a delicious breakfast along with perfect coffee. We were given coffee to go also. These hosts are definitely "the most." Highly recommend.

    Tony2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing evening and morning at the Mound Plantation. We were overwhelmed that these superhosts were more than super. Everything was perfect.

    James And Jimmilea2019-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • The Mound Plantation Room was not what I imagined to be. It was a much more delightful surprise. Bradly, the host, was attentive, made sure he'd meet me on arrival and made us feel like home; after all, they don't call it Southern Hospitality for no good reason. Between resting from a day-long driving, conversing with my hosts, and tasting their delightfully homemade breakfast, I was ready to embark on the next segment of my road trip, after a restful night sleep in one of their two rooms: A beautifully decorated in a classical mood. With no hesitation, I'd go there again (Actually, I already paid a second visit a week later on my way back). When there, don't forget to explore this majestic nature surrounding their home and property. A must!

This cozy, non haunted cabin, offers spectacular river sunsets either outside or in the comfort of your bed looking at the widest point of the Mississippi river. The backyard is open for visitors to enjoy drinks, smoke, eat or lounge to an endless parade of barges. We're located in an old middle class very safe neighborhood that has the best river views in Vicksburg less than one mile away from I-20. Absolutely not recommended to high maintenance guests.

Riverbend is less than one mile from I-20. All casinos, attractions, and local restaurants are a few minutes drive away. The neighborhood is an old classic, middle class neighborhood, rebuilding from its unfortunate pass where people of all colors still walk the streets minding their own. This is my home and I’ve lived here for over 30 years. It is a very safe place with the best and most spectacular views of the Mississippi River bend. The birth place of the blues and amazing people of all backgrounds inhabit the area. Not recommended for high maintenance or prejudice folks.
  • Claude and Maggie's Riverbend cabin was a great launching point to explore Vicksburg, it's history and the NPS battlegrounds. The cabin was as described, re-designed and the view of the Mississippi was magnificent. If our travels allow to venture back into Mississippi, we will definitely stay there again.

  • This is a great space! It was perfect for our group. We hadn't seen each other in 10 years and this space was perfect for us to stay together and catch up. The porch is an awesome spot to drink coffee in the morning. It is less than 5 minutes to downtown Vicksburg which has some really great bars and restaurants. It is in walking distance to Martin's at Midtown which is a cute family owned restaurant. It was never more than a 5-10 minute drive to anything. Angela is quick with her responses and was really great at checking in and taking care of our needs. We could not have had a more perfect time.

    Lan2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great communication and clean home

    Joseph2019-04-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, cozy, convenient to downtown Vicksburg. Angela was very responsive and helpful. Amenities were great - lots of TV watching options, in-unit washer and dryer, clean linens. We had 4 guests and only 3 bath towels were available to use, so bring your own towels just to be on the safe side. Also, some of the doors (including the front door) are a little finicky. The front door in particular was problematic due to a loose strike plate, which made closing and locking it with the deadbolt a bit of a hassle. Overall, though, we had a great stay!

This roomy, bright apartment above one of Vicksburg's first mercantile stores is funky, fun and chic. Guests enjoy a fully furnished kitchen, private bath, comfy king bed and lots of storage space - perfect for a couples retreat. The quarters open onto a deep porch and overlook a rear walled courtyard connected to Openwood St via an arched brick carriageway where horse-drawn carts once loaded bottles from the adjacent dairy.
A mix of old and new, art and found treasures, this homey space will make you want to linger! The 2nd floor apartment is part of what was once a single residence for the mercantile's owner. Entry is via the corner front entrance, and living quarters have a private entrance off a wide shared hallway.
At a 5-point crossroads of Main Street, Locust and Openwood, this 1860's mixed-use building anchors the original neighborhood center in Vicksburg's earliest platted grid. The building is at one of the highest points overlooking the Mississippi River, with an amazing view down bricked Main Street. It is next door to Vicksburg's first fire station, now the Vicksburg Art Association, and across from Christ Episcopal Church, the town's longest open place of assembly. Filled with important buildings, mansions and B&Bs, this is Vicksburg's oldest neighborhood. The Old Courthouse Museum is 2 blocks away. Downtown's shops, restaurants and museums as well as the National Military park are minutes away.

  • This is a lovely old home full of beautiful antiques. I probably would not bring small children because of the stairs and antiques. Overall a great experience and Alys was helpful.

  • Very cool house in convenient and pleasant neighborhood! We stayed a week, and really felt at home. Very usable kitchen (we mostly cooked in rather than eating out), amazingly proportioned rooms, comfortable beds, fun antiques and decor. The owner's family pictures and books and papers are very much present, which is absolutely fine, but stay at a motel if you're looking for anodyne anonymity!

  • Loved this antique house. Host was responsive to questions. Definitely recommend this place to others.

  • Great place, very centrally located. Rooftop access was awesome. Vicksburg was a pleasant surprise! Will be back.

  • My stay here was amazing. The kitchen had all the appliances we needed. I liked the rooftop although it rained our first night there, we enjoyed it the rest of our stay. I was glad that the owner allowed small gatherings for parties or events. It was easy to contact for questions. Although it's located downtown next to restaurants and bars, it was quiet and safe. So much better than a hotel.

Our 7 guest rooms are all located in the main house and are tastefully furnished with period antiques. Located in the heart of historic Vicksburg, within walking distance to museums, antique shopping, historic Washington Street, restaurants and the National Military Park.
  • My husband and I were pleased to be Corey and Patricia's first "Airbnb guests". The property is absolutely stunning, very warm, and very inviting. The millwork alone is worth marveling at! The hosts were incredibly kind an offered a rich history of the home. The room itself was nice and cozy, and the sheets felt like silk. I'd saw reviews on other platforms that the breakfast was incredible, and it didn't let down in person. Patricia made eggs Benedict w/ mixed fruit and other meats. It was a sizable portion which I didn't expect and it made me look forward to what was on the menu the next day. Overall- the stay exceeded my expectations and we'll likely stay there again when we are back!

  • Steele Cottage was beautiful, and located in a great location in Vicksburg. Was located right across from the Walnut Hills Resturant so my wife and I were able to walk to a great dinner. Also, we were provided free breakfast at the Duff Green Mansion less than a half mile away and Harley provided a wonderful tour of that estate after eating. Would definitely recommend and would love to return.

  • The Steele Cottage is a lovely 19th century house with three bedrooms that are rented out plus a large common living room. Two of the rooms had their own bathrooms en-suite, while the bathroom for our room was in the hall but we didn’t share it with anyone. The whole cottage was furnished with beautiful period pieces. Everything was clean and convenient. The room included a full breakfast at the Duff Green Mansion, a nearby property operated by the same owner, followed by a wonderfully informative tour of the mansion. David was the tour guide and was so knowledgeable about the Civil War period. Altogether a great experience in Vicksburg!

  • This is a beautiful well-equipped pristine ground floor of a house in a very pleasant residential neighborhood very near downtown Vicksburg. We three adults traveling as colleagues were entirely comfortable in every way: there is the perfect balance of comfortable private spaces (bedrooms with desks for each person!) and a very nice living room with dining table and TV and couches for shared time together. Everything is very clean, newly restored, the kitchen is well enough equipped to allow you to cook at home as you like. We were there for 10 days and would be happy and comfortable to stay longer. Earnestine and Leo couldn't be kinder and more responsive, authentically lovely people. An ideal place to stay in Vicksburg!

Come stay in the smallest town in Louisiana! Mound was established by the Yerger family in the late 1800's, directly across the Mississippi River from Vicksburg, MS. Only 1/2 mile from Interstate 20, its nestled quietly in the Louisiana delta, only 8 minutes from all of the amenities of a bustling city. The home was built as a hotel in the 1890's and is situated on a 6 acre property surrounded by agriculture and pecan trees. Come pet the horses and take a swim in the pool on warm summer days.
As the place was a part of a depot at one time, it sits next to a train track, but we have not had a guest that didnt sleep right through the nightly train. The entire community brings a sense of nostalgia upon seeing it.. ** pool is closed as of October 01st **
The neighborhood is comprised of a handful of hundred year old acadian style homes with large, well manicured lots. From our home, you can see the Mississippi river levee in the distance.
  • An absolutely beautiful place , lovely welcome and a very pleasant stay. One of the best places we have stayed. Thank you for a wonderful authentic breakfast too!

    Michele2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful home and incredibly clean! We were traveling through and came in late and Brad still made sure that we found it easily and made it in safely. It was a quick stay but had an amazing breakfast and great conversation!

    Lyndsey2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • What a joy to land at this sparkling clean historic home so beautifully done. The best beds ever! It was a pleasure to share Bradly’s home - we had a great night’s sleep in the first floor bedrooms where we also had a large parlor room to relax in. We felt like we had a private wing of the house as the family bedrooms and gathering areas were upstairs. The full bath and powder room downstairs were for our use. And you will not find a better breakfast anywhere! Bradly is a wonderful cook and shares his local specialties. All in all, this combination bed-and-breakfast and homestay was perfect in every way. By the time you leave, you will feel a part of their wonderful family. Very special place!

  • SUPER nice place to stay!! A must stop if you are planning to be in the area.

    Sergio2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had been traveling for 2 weeks before we arrived at Bradly’s place in Airbnb and Motels. Our stay here was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip. Bradly and Callie could not have done anymore to make us feel at home. Can’t recommend their beautiful home highly enough.

    Malcolm2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • My family’s stay in Mound was great and made even better by the incredible house and hospitality of Bradly. The house is great, the peacefulness of the surroundings is incredible, and the ability to stay overnight with our dogs was life-saving as we were moving to a different state. We will definitely stay here again and can’t say enough about how easy and comfortable Bradly made everything. Do yourself a favor and reserve a room!

    Branden2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Bradly and Callie were very welcoming. Both very friendly but also very discreet to leave us free to do what we wanted. We were able to enjoy the pool quietly and discuss everything with them. The house is typically splendid and spacious. A mention for the breakfast which was sumptuous! I can only recommend this place, a safe bet and probably one of the best Airbnb made.

    Maxime2019-08-24T00:00:00Z

This cozy, non haunted suite, offers spectacular river sunsets either outside or in the comfort of your bed looking at the widest point of the Mississippi river. The backyard is open for visitors to enjoy drinks, smoke, eat or lounge to an endless parade of barges. We're located in an old middle class very safe neighborhood that has the best river views in Vicksburg less than one mile away from I-20. Absolutely not recommended to high maintenance guests.
Riverbend is a tranquil, safe and cozy suite with a southern feel. The space is surrounded by pecan and pine trees, native plants, herbs and spices, a goldfish fountain, and the best views of the river in Vicksburg. Don't expect lush gardens during the cold season. There is a private first come first serve parking area in between the rental and a vacant home yet street parking is also very safe. So, If you're down to earth, want to experience classic southern living and history, you'll love riverbend.
  • We spent one night in Vicksburg being on the road north. We appreciated this small accommodation first for the ease of arrival and then after opening the front door for the magnificent view of the meander of the Mississippi (waking up even better). A very recommendable stopover for one night in Vicksburg before going to take a look at the cute little town center and the historic site that makes the city famous.

  • Deserves 10 stars! Debbie & Craig’s place is beyond perfect for a stay in Vicksburg. My situation was rare, and I had a horrible experience at a different location owned by Jeanie. Debbie not only graced me with her home but with an generous heart and kindness. I will never forget her hospitality. And I can honestly say she will be a forever friend. The place is superb, very comfy, stylish and beautifully done. Has everything you would possibly need and more. Debbie definitely went all out! It’s nicer than most people apartments or homes! I slept like a rock (comfy bed), plush towels, bathroom amenities and a gourmet kitchen - I felt like I was staying at a five star hotel yet with the elegance of a home. Additionally, checked in with a five day old infant! The place is the center of town - makes it great and convenient. There’s lots of restaurants and shops around - yet it’s quaint and quiet. If you are coming to Vicksburg, you should stay no where else but here! You will be highly impressed and find yourself in luxury.

  • Fantastic place to stay - perfect location and very comfortable and stylish - walking distance to all the fun spots. Debora is the best host, sent us great suggestions of happenings around town and was very accommodating. Will definitely stay here again. I am recommending this to all my friends.

  • Debora’s place was stylish and extremely comfortable. The location was great to walk to local shops downtown.

  • This property is exactly as pictured. The location allows you to walk to many great restaurants and shops. Within walking distance we visited 10 South (excellent food but super windy ) located on a rooftop , Mad Baker , Rusty’s , The Coca-Cola Museum , The Old Depot Museum , The lower Mississippi River Museum and viewed the murals. Most of the other areas we visited were a very short distance away from the property. The apartment is a former retail space transformed into a modern living area. They used the space wisely so that our three person family had plenty of privacy as well as fun shared space. The property is spotless from floor to ceiling. It is decorated with modern furniture and comfort. We enjoyed making breakfast in the full kitchen. The owner supplied plenty of towels and toiletries. The light street noise was easily drowned out by a white noise machine. Parking was easy and convenient right in front of the property. The owner offered restaurant suggestions . Communication with the owner was quick and reliable. Overall it was a great property and fun getaway.

  • The place was very clean very cozy and modern. There was a washer and dryer and a kitchen with everything you need. There was a coffee machine and coffee and creamer. Very thoughtful! The communication was very good and quick. I booked only a day ahead and the response was almost immediately. The location is in downtown between shops and a bar where you can go for a drink and a snack (stone oven pizzas!) I would very much recommend this place!

  • I totally recommend Debora"s place for someone looking for something other than a hotel. She was very informative, she made check in a breeze, her response time while we were there was bsu prompt, and her space was very clean. I'm originally from the area and have family there so will definitely try Debora on my next visit.

  • Everything was perfect. The pictures didn’t do this place any justice. Right in the heart of downtown historic Vicksburg this property did not disappoint. We will definitely be staying here every time we go back. Thanks

    Brittany2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a wonderful vintage apartment right on the Main Street of Vicksburg; we even were able to watch the HS Homecoming parade from the deck. Place was thoughtfully done and the master bed and bath was fantastic. Best Airbnb we have stayed in our entire 2 weeks from Nashville to New Orleans.

    Ken2019-10-04T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great space! And so convenient to the convention center and downtown restaurants. We plan on coming back.

  • If you are looking for an awesome space, with some historic southern charm, this is your place. The loft is located in the heart of downtown Vicksburg nestled in with lots of bars and restaurants. You can walk to all. The home is gorgeous inside. All though you feel as if you stepped back in history, the kitchen and baths have all the latest modern upgrades and touches. The king bed was very comfortable and the bathrooms were brand new. You will have everything there that you could possibly need. And added bonus is the amazing outdoor space out back. It is a real gem. This is the perfect couples weekend getaway place. I will definitely be back.. The hosts are wonderful too. Very accommodating.

  • Great host, fast communication.

    Omar2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • The house was exactly what I needed for my employees and I while we worked in the area, it gave us all the room we needed and a kitchen to cook meals in. So much better than motels.

    Jason2019-12-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very nice and clean. Very spacious. We would stay again if it is available on our next trip. Great location to the casinos and restaurants.

  • Great! This was our first Airbnb extant it was wonderful. It’s an older house but in great shape. Lots of room. The beds were extremely comfortable. We come to Vicksburg once a year at this time and this was so much better than a hotel. Jeanie was great to communicate with. We have no complaints. Highly recommend!

  • This is a great place to stay if you have a large group of people on a budget - the price really can't be beat. I was with a group of 8 people leaving southern Louisiana for Hurricane Barry and we needed a place to stay that would accommodate all of us and our pets. There are 4 bedrooms each with a queen size bed, plus a day bed and two pull out couches so everyone was able to sleep comfortably. There is a backyard area that the dogs enjoyed running around in, but be aware that it is not fenced in. The kitchen had enough cups, plates, bowls, and coffee mugs for everyone to be able to eat together at the same time. If you like to cook a lot (I do) you may find it helpful to bring some extra supplies, but I was able to make it work with what is available. There were some spices and coffee available, and there is a Kroger not too far away. I'd say the only main quirk about the house is that one of the bathrooms has a bit of a strange setup, I assume because the house is older. There is a door with a window that leads into the room with the washer/dryer, a breakfast/eating nook, the shower, and a smaller room with the toilet and sink. The window in the door can lead to some privacy issues as it looks right into the shower, but we were able to cover it with a towel and still use the shower without issue. Jeanie was great and provided a lot of suggestions on what to do while we were in town. She was also accommodating and allowed us to stay for a few extra hours on checkout day so we could avoid driving home through the storm.
