Places to stay in Powelltown
This is a self contained tiny house situated among rainforest of the Yarra ranges. The forest surrounds us by three sides. There are plenty of tracks to go walking. So Ideal if your into bird watching, bush walking, or hiking. All our water comes from the little Yarra rivers tributaries so it's clean, untreated and fresh. The house stays very warm in winter and cool in the summer.
Attn: please know we are taking additional measure to clean and air out our space. And for the next three weeks there is currently a 5 day gap between guest bookings. We have also made sure that there is minimum 24 hours between stays over the coming months. One bedroom split level tiny house, the bed sits in a loft and there is a little bed for a little one also. There is a small bathroom with a shower and bath all hooked up to hot water and a toilet. Kitchen has gas cook top with 3 burners, small fridge and double sink. The kitchen comes fully stocked with utensils, pots and crockery. We also supply oil, salt, pepper, tea, milk and coffee. Wood fire for heating, with a wood fired oven. The space is well insulated so it stays warm and snug. It is also shaded by two beautiful beech trees so stay cool in the summer. The tiny house also has a small desk with Ethernet cable and wireless internet, which reaches throughout the space. So perfect for getting away and getting some work done, writing or music. We have some chickens, geese and a dog on the property. All are very friendly, they might come say hello, but usually keep to themselves. We have one neighbour and the tiny house is situated on the same property as our main house. The french doors open to a private garden shaded by a peach tree.
There is a large supermarket open 7 days 15 minutes away in Yarra Junction or an organic grocery store open 6 days a week called Village Greens, not open Sundays. Yarra Junction also has a laundromat if need. There are amazing walks and interesting history around the town for you to explore. The Ada tree is also located nearby. A beautiful cafe called Nancy’s of the Valley is located in Yarra Junction that serves delicious drinks and food.
  • We had a lovely getaway in Sam and April's wooden tiny house. The space has everything you could need with a unique and earthy feel. The hosts were friendly and approachable. Thanks so much for a great stay, we will definitely be back!

  • A charming tiny house that's so different to the standard (and I think boring) sheds that have sprung up. It's a lovely space, and the hike from hill lead car park up to Ada Mill and the Ada tree is a great weekend 20km round trip! A word of warning, there are roosters, so if you aren't the deepest of sleepers, bring some ear plugs to fend off the dawn chorus 😊

  • A beautiful little cabin perfect for a weekend escape. Close to walking trails and a close drive to cafe’s and supermarkets.

  • Beautiful little tiny house in a great location with some good hiking in the local area through rainforests. Very cosy, lots of timber and recycled/reclaimed building materials, wonderful use of tree branches and trunks placed throughout the structure. Woodfire heater is great to kick back with a glass of wine and relax.

  • We had an amazing weekend at this incredible place. Great to escape the city and relax in such a peaceful environment.

  • A beautiful, cosy tiny house set amongst pristine bush in Poweltown. So friendly and really easy check-in. Had a great time exploring thanks to April's local walking tips, where to eat and whats going on in the local area. Great place to rest and recharge. Highly recommend this place.

Welcome to Big Patsa's Place, located in Big Pats Creek which is fully fenced and gated and only a 6 minute drive to central warburton. The house is set on a beautiful and peaceful 1 acre of land bursting with wildlife, its one of the most relaxing places in warburton. There are multiple family's of birds that visit on a daily including King Parrots, Rosella's, Kookaburra's, and willy wag tails, along with many other bird species. During spring you’ll see many ducklings, and baby rabbits
The house is fully selfcontained and located just before the Big Pats Creek bridge , which is great for fishing with small brown trout and freshwater crayfish that are caught on a daily basis, your welcome to bring your own fishing gear or use our 2 fishing rods. During summer its a great place to cool down or even walk the creek it has some amazing features and is great to explore with the kids. There is a trampoline, swing set games and toys for the kids along with a large selection of movies for families. At only $190per night for 4 people and only an additional $50 for each person after that up to 11, we think this is by far the best value for money for families and groups of people visiting in warburton. If you enjoy bush walks you are at the start of the Walk into History. The Big Pats Creek to Starling Gap trek follows the Federal tramway, which was constructed in 1933 and used by the timber workers in the area. You will be able to locate lengths of the old tram tracks by the side of the path in some places, for more information you can google this, a great journey into history. For the trail bike & mountain bike rider's there is no better place. You can ride straight from the front gate with hundreds of kilometers of tracks and trails throughout the upper yarra forest, for the dirt bike rider try the Big Pats Creek to the Reefton Pub trail, challenging but fun. For the bike riders we have 10 bikes that everyone is welcome to use during your stay, there are 4 Adult bikes, 3 Medium size bikes and a couple of smaller bikes for toddlers, or you can still bring your own there is plenty of space in both sheds on the property to store both dirt and mountain bikes, there are some bike helmets and 2 toboggans if your heading up to the snow on Mt Donna Buang. At the rear of the property and through the gate is your own private rain forest to explore, during the winter months it has a small creek that runs through it that can lead you down to other parts of Big Pats Creek. You have the run of the entire house and property which at 28Sqs of living space it has plenty of room for 2 or more families or a group of friends of up to 11 people. The House Ground Floor The Main Bedroom has a Queen Bed, ensuite, walk in robe, electric fireplace, parents retreat with lounges and TV The 2nd Bedroom has a Queen Bed, wardrobe and small TV with direct access to main bathroom Lounge room, dining table, DVD, high chairs, ironing board, butlers pantry and laundry with dish washer and washing machine the dryer is located in the Bungalow Main Bathroom with Shower toilet and bath, towels, bed linen, pillows are all included, you may want to bring your own linen or towels for longer stays if you don't wish to use the washing machine. There is no Wi-Fi however 3G and 4G phones and devices have good reception 1'st Floor The 3rd Bedroom is located at the top of the stairs and has a double bed with a single bed and trundle this is a large room and sleeps 3 or 4 people it has a set of draws for clothes The 4th Bedroom is a loft style room set up for the younger kids, with 2 single beds and a trundle, lego table, rocking horse, kids pram, and some other toys for the children to enjoy. Our 2 younger children love staying in this room. The 3rd living area is between bedrooms 3 and 4 and is a fantastic space with its own lounge suite and TV. This is a large room for either the children or to get away from them :-) It has wonderful views from the unique windows. Kitchen and Butlers Pantry The main kitchen is larger than normal with a huge amount of bench space. The rustic bench tops were made from the old oak tree on the property a number of years ago. It has an induction stove and oven with all the pots, plates, cups and cuttlery supplied for you during your stay including fridge and microwave. Tea coffee, coffee machine and sugar are provided and a small pantry of staples. Along with the conventional oven is a rayburn combustion wood fire oven. Big Pats Creek during winter can be cold so we have oil heaters in every room and electric fire places in the Main room and main lounge. There is also a split system for cooling and heating on the ground floor and first floor The Bungalow is a games room with pool table dart board Bluetooth speaker and bar. You can access the bungalow for the clothes dryer. The Property We allow pets but this is limited to 2 Dogs, they are free to roam the property and there is also an encloser, the fences are about 4ft high so if you have dogs that like to jump you may need to have them on a long lead. If they are inside please don't allow them on the furniture or bedding. As always please pick up after your dogs bins are on the property and are collected each Wednesday. We allow fires in the fire flu on the deck (Please always check fire restrictions) I supply wood for a small fire however there is always plenty of wood on the ground in the near by bush or the local IGA and hardware store have it in stock. The fire place on the deck can be used all year round (Please always check fire restrictions however). During the autum and winter months there will be lots of leaves around the property which cant be burnt during June and July. Being a country property there is the occasional power outage, this does'nt occur very often however it may happen. Power is normally restored within a few hours if there is a problem we have flashlights and candles if needed. The water for the property comes directly from the upper yarra river, and is'nt treated with chlorine or fluoride which is great, we all drink the water however I recommend you drink the water from the water cooler. We have septic tanks so please be careful not to flush any sanitary items or use any type of bleach in the 3 toilets. Parking There is a carport that fits 2 SUV's easily along with a parking bay half way up the drive way for an additional 2 cars. If you have more than 4 cars you can park through the gate at the back door of the property. (Max 5 Cars at the property). The drive way is reasonably long, if you have trailers with bikes it's easier to drive into the property and turn around rather than backing it down the drive way. We have put together a guide on all the wonderful sites and attractions that warburton has to offer but if your not sure you can contact me via email or mobile, You don't have to check out until 11am the next day so you don't have to rush. The property manager lives just next door so if you have any problems feel free to contact me and I will send him over. Please enjoy your stay and we look forward to having you visit us soon Emma
  • Just perfect! The house is huge and the location is lovely, in the middle of the forest. With parrots on the porch!

  • Fabulous property with lots of space for large groups. Very comfortable and relaxing

  • Quick and friendly response, very fair pricing. Prime location in a beautiful rain forrest, this rustic and charming house was a great place to stay for us. The kids loved it thanks to plenty of toys and a big garden. Movies and an abundance of games helped us to get through a rainy day. Maybe also because of the rainy weather, some rooms appeared to be a little bit damp, but otherwise very clean and in excelent state.

  • Emma’s house is spacious and suits a couple of families and has three different living areas. Our Labrador loved running around the secure and spacious garden. Emma is a great host who communicates well. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • This is the perfect getaway just outside of Warburton. The house is everything you could ask for- spacious, clean, multiple living areas and all with stunning views of the trees and birds. It is so close to multiple walking tracks that would take days to complete if you were keen. It is only 7 mins from shops and supermarket but was lovely to be away from that in nature. Emma is so helpful and quick to respond. Definitely hope to return.

The Little House on the Hill at the eastern end of Warburton overlooks the chooks, the veggie patch, the orchard and across the valley to gorgeous 270° views. It is next door to the Big House, set on an acre that slopes down to the Yarra River. A great swimming spot on hot days and a good way to access the town and the rail trail (five minutes there, maybe ten minutes return - uphill). There are plenty of lovely walks nearby including the Aqueduct Trail that starts further up the hill.
The Little House is perfect for two people. A comfy queen bed with aircon, dvd, microwave, fridge etc. Relax and soak up the mountain air, enjoy the spring water on tap and experience all that Warby has to offer.
  • A small but very practical and efficient space that is super clean, has amazing little touches such as quality bread, jam and ground coffee, and that is before the spectacular views and the access to the jaw dropping aqueduct trail. Thank you Bruce for providing such a nice respite away from the hustle and bustle. Hope to be back!

  • Bruce’s place was better than expected! His place is really accessible via Melbourne (Melbourne Central to Lilydale - 1 hour and then hop onto a bus at Lilydale and it brings you directly to to his street. 2 hours journey via public transport. Bruce fetches us from the bus stop. Such a kind gesture. Loved the place. It’s a little heaven on earth! Beautiful! Facing the mountains and the view was splendid. His place was exactly as described in the listing, maybe even better in person. There is a small valley just down the road. Bruce had left us bread, butter, fruits and even chocs. Best Airbnb I have stayed in Melbourne in the countryside! A splendid experience!! Our holiday was made perfect with Bruce’s perfect little home. Cheers

  • The little house on the hill is so picturesque and has the most stunning views of the hills. We loved the cosy and charming styling of the place, as well as being able to walk down to the Yarra and into town. Highly recommend!

From April 2020, the Mudbrick Cottage will be available for longer term stays. Please contact us to discuss your situation and needs. A simple, earthy offgrid cottage, built with reclaimed timbers and handmade mudbricks. The Mudbrick Cottage is a peaceful and inviting space where natural living meets beauty. The Cottage has been renovated, but retains its rustic charm, with exposed wood beams, high ceilings, a wood fire, and a newly built deck to enjoy the call of wildlife.
A cosy retreat for nature lovers, couples, bike riders and bush walkers. The property is completely off grid, with power coming from the sun, and water from the rain. If the sun has not been out much, you may hear the hum of the generator powering up the batteries for a short time. Heating is via a wood heater, which will be set and ready to light when the weather cools, and ample fire wood available to you. A fan is available for cooling in the summer. The bedroom is a truly restful space, with an amazingly comfortable queen bed, perfect for tucking yourself in for an early night, or for a lazy morning in bed. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas oven and stovetop, bar fridge with small freezer, pots and pans, kettle, toaster and coffee machine, everything you need for a foodie's weekend away! Continental breakfast is provided, so you can start your day off with a relaxing breakfast in bed, or perhaps in the garden and enjoy our fresh mountain air. A blue tooth speaker is provided, so bring your tunes along! The cottage does not have a television or wifi, but trust us, you will enjoy unplugging. Don't worry though, mobile coverage is pretty good, so you can stay connected if need be.
The cottage is located on a 4.5 acre property, which we live at full time (our home is 30 metres away). We do have three neighbours, each with differing sized properties. So while we are located in the middle of the Yarra State Forest, there are a few other properties around which share the lane way access. The picturesque town of Warburton has many cafes, specialty stores and walking tracks, it is easy to spend the whole day exploring. The Yarra River snakes through the town centre, and locals can be found swimming and relaxing at the river on hot sunny days. There are many festivals, markets and sporting events in Warburton, as well as throughout the Yarra Valley. The Valley also has an abundance of wonderful vineyards and renowned restauraunts, perfect for an indulgent weekend. Warburton is half an hour from Mt Donna Buang. In the winter, the mountain becomes a winter wonderland, where snow play and tobogganing can be enjoyed in the state forest. Warburton can be chilly, so make sure you bring warm clothes!
  • Beautiful, peaceful property. Lovely breakfast basket.

    Dave2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our two nights here: the serenity, cosy mudbrick and timber house, and the attention to details. Highly recommended😀

    Greg2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I stayed at the Mudbrick Cottage for a peaceful, romantic retreat in nature and we were not disappointed. The Mudbrick Cottage was cozy with the pot belly fire (just right for a couple), bright because of the great windows looking out into the garden, almost everything locally and ethically sourced, and the place had heaps of thoughtful touches including a delicious breakfast and yummy freshly ground coffee, and hot water bottles in case it got cold! Victoria and Wayne left us to our own devices but were also super friendly and gave us helpful tips to make our stay that much more enjoyable. Lots of lovely walks around and the town and river are just a short drive away. Overall we had a really wonderful time and give the place 5 stars - we would certainly come again! Thanks Victoria and Wayne

    Alia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend spending a night here - very cute accommodation, nice touches with fresh bread provided, responsive hosts and super comfy bed. Thanks, guys!

    Iona2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was absolutely wonderful. What a beautiful little spot. I will definitely be coming back!

    Shanaye2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Victoria & Wayne are the most lovely, genuine hosts we've stayed with. Set in a beautiful valley only a 5min drive to town was perfect for us to just relax in the wonderfully appointed mud brick cottage. Lots of homely and thoughtful touches throughout made the place. The bed was pleasantly firm and great to sleep on and the kitchen was well appointed for staying in for the night. The visiting chickens gave the place a real homestead vibe and the home laid eggs, were a magic touch. A must stay!

I really appreciated the helpful notes Tracey left around the home, and the bucket of birdseed for feeding the parrots :) The home is sparkling clean, all the amenities with coffee and tea provided and a smart tv. The apartment is located on the lower level of our house on over an acre of land with majestic mountain views. The studio is accessed by a private parking space, pathway and entrance, with your own garden area to relax outdoors. Inside is spacious, stylish and comfortable with wood tones, warm colours and quality furnishings. The Warburton main street with cafes, river and quirky country shopping is a 20 minute walk. The aqueduct trail with giant ferns and towering mountain ash, close by.
The apartment has studio style living plus a contemporary bathroom, complete with spa bath, seperate shower and mountain view. The open plan living is spacious with a king size bed, large couch and two comfy leather arm chairs placed to take in the breathtaking mountain vista. In summer watch the birds hopping about in the garden and the vibrant sunsets. In the cooler months catch the mists and clouds rolling in. There is a smart TV and wifi. However the sound system with your favourite song playing, a glass of local wine and a good book from our collection is highly recommended. The kitchen has an espresso machine, microwave , fridge, quality cookware and a cooktop but no oven. It's well set up for easy cooking in and we supply oil, salt, pepper, fresh ground coffee and organic teas. Your welcome to pick herbs from the garden. Outside on the front porch is a kettle BBQ and outdoor table and a small fire pit for cooler nights under the stars. Inside there is a split system to keep you cosy in winter and cool in summer. It's a 4 minute drive to the shops and cafes and 10 minutes walk to the aqueduct trail. The Redwoods and La La falls are close by. On a hot day swim in the river or cool down under the giant ferns. In winter visit the snow at Mt Donna Buang and spot the lyrebirds dancing through the forest. Further afield, taste cool climate wine the region is famous for, or gin from Four Pillars in Healesville, recently awarded best gin producer in the world. The Ada Tree, Healesville Sanctuary, Tarrawarra Museum........the list is endless but maybe all you need is the fresh air, spring water, beauty, comfort and tranquility of our Mountain Retreat.
Warburton is a picturesque country town. Surrounded by beautiful rainforest with the Birrarung ( Yarra River) winding through the Valley. It has incredible natural beauty. Outdoor pursuits abound, bushwalking, mountain biking, the Lilydale to Warburton rail trail, swimming and fishing in the Yarra. There is a vibrant arts community and a gourmet foody trail but we understand you may never want to leave our peaceful retreat.

With outlooks onto beautiful lush forest, sense of grandeur & space from cathedral ceilings, & bath to submerge in, this self contained studioapartment offers a wonderful getaway to the beautiful Yarra Valley, 1.5hrsNE of Melbourne. Walk to walking & bike trails, cafes, shops, & arts centre; play golf, visit vineyards & Healesville'sWildlifeSanctuary nearby, & more......
This private apartment is attached to one end of the main residence, complete with its own entrance, outside deck sitting area & area for storing your bike safely inside. The main room includes a comfy queen size bed, dining and lounge areas and a fully functional small kitchen with basic food supplies. The bathroom, including toilet, bath and overbath shower, are in a seperate room.
Coming to Warburton, known by locals as Warby, is like going back in time. Even though only 1.5 hrs from Melbourne City, it moves at a much slower pace, and functions more like a village, having a strong community feel. It is full of artists and musicians, and people who make the choice to leave the rat race behind. Weekends bring many tourists to Warby. This area is known for its magnificent forests, scenic walking tracks, diverse bike trails, winter toboggan run, picnicing and floating down the river, golf course with majestic views, wine tasting at neighbouring vineyards as well as its abundance of cafes. A smorgasboard for everyone! Warby marks the beginning of a vast area of forest from where most of Melbourne's water comes. Within this grows the tallest flowering trees in the world, the mountain ash. In addition are a number of endangered species, like the Leadbeater's "Fairy Possum", Victoria's faunal emblem. We are working to get this area protected with the Great Forest National Park. Come see this magnificent forest for yourself.

Womblebank Tiny House, Warburton was established by people who have a passion for exploring and travelling and like many travellers we enjoy comfort, design and privacy. Our tiny house offers the deluxe feel of a grand hotel in miniature. Beautiful linen, exclusive toiletries and a beautiful setting. The native garden setting is restful and home to some beautiful native birds. Whether you want to tackle the local bike trails or rest, Womblebank is the place for you.
COVID-19 As a former nurse I understand the nature of a virus and the precautions need to help prevent its spread as much as one can. After each booking, I block out the day the guest leaves so I have a full day to clean and disinfect the Tiny House (I do not charge a cleaning fee). The building is small and new so easy to wipe down all the touchable surfaces. I also provide disinfectant and disposible cloths for guests to also wipe down surfaces. There is also good hand wash, soap and toilet paper provided. I do not have children and work from home, so semi self-isolating, only going out for essentials. There is everything you need to self cater so you do not need to mix with anyone once you are here. At Womblebank Warburton BnB, we allow guests to experience living in a "Tiny House" We have tried to carefully design the building to ensure our guests have everything they need during their stay.
Warburton has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday with great little cafes, wonderful bush walks, the amazing Yarra River to swim, paddle or just admire the beauty and for the push bike enthusiast, there is the Warburton Rail Trail.

Nestled between the Redwood Forest and La La Falls you'll find our tiny mountain getaway. Get toasty by the wood fire and relax while you take in the mountain views. Enjoy visits from our resident wildlife, Kookaburra's, Lyrebird's, Cockatoo's, Wallabies and even a Wombat. This is the perfect retreat for couples who want to exclude themselves from the world or adventure the beauty of the surrounds.
Mountain Tiny House is the complete luxury off-grid experience. We're powered completely by solar, a water tank, gas bottles and a compost toilet (which works better than a regular toilet, we promise).
Warburton is a small town in the Yarra Valley. Stop for a coffee or chai latte at BT Dubbs or a woodfire pizza at Little Joe's. Directly behind the stores in town you'll be able to walk along the river and feed the ducks that reside behind the township.

A perfect, delightful, unique Yarra Valley retreat. This tiny house is set amongst a native garden on a large property; very private and secluded. Studio style; one big room with a double bed + mezzanine/bunk bed (single). Kitchenette, fireplace, coffee and tea supplies. 10 minute drive from Warburton and close to many attractions including the Redwood Forest and the Rainforest Gallery..If you're looking for a special/unique stay in the Yarra Valley...this is it!
For more info and pics, you can find us on Instagram: Redwood Tiny Home/ redwoodeastwarby....There we will keep updating photos and highlights from the house and surrounds! More info.... This "tiny home" is a beautiful, one room house equipped with all your weekend needs. Sleeps up to 3 people. Studio style with one double bed and one mezzanine/bunk bed (single). The deck is built around the trunk of an old eucalyptus tree, so it has a "treehouse" vibe. The room is large, with a big window looking onto the garden, treetops, and valley. There is enough space to spread out, read, drink tea, do yoga, and just relax. Outside, there is a large deck area with bar-style seating. You will have the whole 3/4 acre large property to yourself, so it will feel completely secluded and private. The kitchenette: Has an electric cook top, kettle, toaster, and coffee making equipment (with coffee, tea, and milk supplied) so it's great for basic food preparation, reheating, breakfast etc. But it is not ideal for cooking a large involved meal as there is no oven. You can fry eggs, make toast, do basic reheating. Antipasto platters are a good way to go here, especially if you've got your hands on some of that nice Yarra Valley produce on the way. Surrounding attractions: (Check out our personalized air bnb "guide" as well) but for now: We are a ten minute drive into Warburton township...many great cafes and cute shops The famous redwood grove is just down the road The Buddhist monastery is nearby The Yarra River has many great picnic spots Many great wineries in the area - we are locals, and happy to recommend just ask! The whole of the Yarra Valley is here to explore
It is a quiet part of the world, with a mixed demographic of tree changers, locals, and weekenders.
  • Beautiful little space to take a few breathes and reconnect with nature plenty to do around the area and a perfect little window to look at the stars in the night, great space for exploring during the day and reading, crafting and listening to music in the evening and comfy bed to rest :) Ewan and Zoe had great communication.

Welcome to the Blue Cottage on Clarke, our beautiful, inspiring sanctuary in the loveliest of streets in Warburton for you to unwind, relax and enjoy the best of the Yarra Valley. The space is a standalone studio in the backyard of our little block, with stunning views of the mountains surrounding all round. The photos says it all. Perfect for the solo artist, couples or small families to enjoy.
My husband and I, with two little boys aged 4 and 7 and a little brood of chooks live on the same block, and we are delighted to share this humble, peaceful space with visitors to this magical part of Victoria. The studio has a luxuriously comfy queen sized bed, as well as a very decent day bed that can be used as a comfortable single or pulled out to become a double bed. The kitchen is suitable for light cooking with a single induction cooker and microwave oven. A full dining table with seating for 4 is also part of the studio living. A raised decking looking out to the garden and mountains beyond is the perfect spot for a relaxing with a cuppa tea and a book. And a little backyard to sprawl out a picnic mat or to chill under the stars at night. Parking is right beside the cottage and our spot is on a sealed road, with amenities, walking and cycling treks all close by. It’s quiet, with only the sounds of nature, the birds and occasionally our little rooster crowing.
We are on a lovely, quiet, residential street with sealed roads. The Lala falls trek is a short 10min walk away. The Yarra river and warburton shops all 10-15min walking distance / 3min drive away.
  • The space was beautiful and sparkling clean, loved the little touches like tea and coffee and the local tips for cafes and walks. Crystal was great at communicating and the whole thing was easy breezy! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

    Lauren2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful, cozy space with beautiful natural light, lovely garden and seriously comfy bed. Our host was very responsive and accommodating.

    Shay2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint cosy cottage located at the back of the main house. Has all the amenities necessary for a short or slightly longer stay and then some too thanks to the generosity of Crystal and Bjorn who are excellent hosts. Enjoyed my stay there and would highly recommend the place.

    Jonathan2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A peaceful, charming place to stay. The cottage is creatively decorated, with lovely touches, such as local spring water to drink and flowers on the table. It had everything we needed and Crystal is a wonderful host who communicates really well. We will be back to stay again.

    Judith2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • All I can say is THANK YOU for your amazing little space to stay! It was absolutely PERFECT and exactly what I needed. I immediately felt at home in the cozy little studio, where I was able to relax and unwind in no time. The added touch of having fresh spring water for guests on display was fantastic - best water I've ever drunk! All of this, as well as Warburton being one of the most amazing and gorgeous areas in Victoria. I would love to continue to return to the cottage a few weekends a year - I think I have found my private weekend retreat spot! THANK YOU again Crystal and Bjorn!

    Carly2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely time staying in Crystal's little cottage in Warby! She is a very generous and communicative host, and the place itself is gorgeous. Great location, super cozy cottage and very functional. In particular a super comfy bed which was ideal to come back to after a long day of hiking in the mountains. The description warns you of roosters but they weren't loud enough to wake us up so they didn't cause any trouble at all. I can't recommend Crystal's cute cottage enough!

    Georgia2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Great space. In my opinion, the chickens aren't that loud in the morning unless you're a light sleeper.

    Jonathan2020-01-19T00:00:00Z

    Alice2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is absolutely magical! Katherine went above and beyond to make sure we had the most amazing anniversary weekend. Watching the sunset from the balcony and waking up each morning with Cows, Donkeys and some Deer in the paddocks was the best start to the day. The amenities are fantastic and everything has been thought off, I cannot wait to come and stay again!

    Tanya2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I had such a beautiful stay at the tiny house! We loved Katherine’s quick responses, being greeted by fresh eggs and lovely pastries, patting the donkeys and waking up each morning to a gorgeous view. It was the perfect weekend get away - a terrific location and a beautiful little house.

  • Katherine’s tiny home was a fantastic cosy getaway. The picturesque outlook and compact stay was an absolutely lovely escape. If you’re thinking about it, certainly give her place a visit.

  • Such an amazing little space to escape from the world, and the attention to detail is perfect. Izzy and Bella were the friendliest donkeys and love all the attention!

    Hayden2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Katherine's place was absolutely charming! The space was more spacious than we could have hoped for, the bed comfy, and all needs were met. Taking a walk to cuddle Izzy and Bella was a daily highlight. The location is perfect. My partner and I did everything from hikes in Warburton, to Healsville Sanctuary and incredible wineries. It was a perfect 4 night stay and would seriously do it again. Also, Katherine was an incredible host giving us lemons and wine, providing us with sparkling water, and checking in to make sure all was good. PS the compost toilet is clean and super easy to use so do not let it deter you if you are unfamiliar like I was!

  • Sioux's place was gorgeous! The building itself was stunning and the surrounds were just lovely, green and lush. Sioux was great at communicating, check in was easy, sparkling clean, we had everything we needed in the space. There is no air con and we were a bit concerned as we had a 42 degree day, but the space stayed amazingly cool, it wasn't necessary. We would recommend this accommodation and will stay again next time we visit.

    Daniela2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is absolute magic!! An amazing space for a quick getaway. Super relaxing and calming. Sioux is an amazing host. She is really sweet and friendly.

  • Great getaway, exactly what I was looking for. Sioux is an amazing artist as you see her work all around her property and the little touches around really make you feel like you are in a special spot :)..

"Away with the Birds" is a creative and relaxing retreat set on 1/2 an acre of lovely established gardens. Your room is a private self contained Bungalow on the property called "The Nest". Cradled in the foothills of Mt Donna Buang and a short stroll from shops & restaurants the property also has a lovely working pottery studio where your host, an accomplished potter & art therapist weaves her magic. If you are wanting a special place to relax and be creatively inspired then look no further.
I'm excited to be offering my lovely Bungalow "The Nest", a relaxing, harmonious space where you can completely unwind. The bungalow is light filled, private and very cosy. It has its own ensuite which makes for complete privacy and convenience. The queen size bed is very comfortable and fully made up. There is split system air conditioner for those cooler nights and crisp mornings. Plenty of clean blankets and quilts if needed. Air conditioning is available for the hotter days to keep you comfortable. There is a small kitchenette in the room with microwave, refrigerator, electric jug, crockery, cutlery, a range of teas and coffee and a light breakfast. I also provide secure undercover shedding for bicycles. For those creatively inclined people the artistic surrounds will surprise and delight. Guests can feel free to roam the gardens or visit the pottery studio. I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the pottery or check out awaywithclay.com for details of classes and workshops.
My neighbourhood is a vibrant small community, a mixture of older residents, some of whom have lived in this particular street all their lives and new young families who are wanting large gardens to grow vegies, have chickens and live sustainably. It's a picturesque stroll (15 mins) to the main street which has everything you need for your stay, including an Arts Centre and cinema plus a supermarket, cafes and gift shops.
  • Jena’s place is great value. It is private from the main house and looks exactly like the photos. It was very comfortable and suited our needs perfectly (allowing us to attend a nearby wedding without being rushed). Jena herself is lovely and if I lived closer I would love to book in with her for some pottery lessons - she is very talented! Thanks again for a great stay :)

    Julia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place to relax and rewind! Jena is a lovely host, so welcoming and kind with great local knowledge. The little cottage at her home is a very cosy space and is in a perfect spot to stay and explore the region. Thanks again for having us Jena!

    Brody2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a delightful experience meeting Jena and staying in her breathtakingly beautiful space! I would move in in a heartbeat if I could. The bungalow itself is even more beautiful than in the photos, it has everything you could wish for for a relaxing getaway and Jena's lovely art pieces throughout the bungalow and gardens just make the place so very special. Jena is such a beautiful and welcoming host and her little furbabies Summa and Skye will melt your heart. Away with the Birds is located only a short stroll from the main street with lovely cafés, restaurants and shops, and with beautiful nature walks at the doorstep. I can't recommend this place enough, I will most definitely be back!

    Martina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Jena's lovely space is so lovely and quaint and calming, and she is an incredibly thoughtful and responsive host. Such a beautiful area, and it was a perfect few days away. Highly recommend!

  • Very pleasant stay thanks Jena, right up with the best AirBnB experiences. Very restful spot meant we got to catch up on some sleep and enjoy the serenity of your area. All the Best for an uneventful bushfire summer!

  • A beautiful little studio with lovely gardens/spaces to relax. Jena’s place had everything you needed and was in a really quiet, peaceful spot. Jena was a great host and made us feel so welcomed. We loved our stay and would highly recommend it.

  • Jena's cottage and garden was a great place to relax after our bike ride from Lilydale. Jena was fantastic; very welcoming and kind. Would definitely recommend.

    Andrew2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The location of this cottage stay had such tranquillity with beautiful views we loved it. We found there wasn't a bath it was a shower which was great. We loved the nice touches, as when it was bucketing down with rain Jenna left us a large umbrella so we could go out for dinner and not get wet. Jenna made us feel at home and allowed us to wander her garden and feel relaxed. We came away from our weekend break feeling a little sad at leaving but at the same time refreshed and also inspired to return to do a course.

  • This was a wonderful house to stay for an extended family weekend away together. Lovely views, garden and perfectly located close to the river track for a short walk to town. Generously sized house for all of us and a great deck to lounge on with a book. Marc and Gabrielle were very kind hosts and we appreciate their hospitality extending to dogs! We'd stay again in the future if we visited Warburton again.

    Joel2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here for 4 nights. It is in such a great location and we could walk to everything we needed. The deck with bbq looking over the hills was well used. Beds were very comfortable - we slept very well. We cooked in a fair bit and there is lots of crockery, pots, extra condiments and proper wine glasses! We will be back.

    Andrea2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Marc and Gabrielle were very accommodating and the house was excellent. Clean, comfortable and cool for the summer heat!

    Stephen2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place was perfect for our family Christmas get away. We had 7 adults, 1 child and 1 pup and all had plenty of room to enjoy time together without feeling on top of each other. We enjoyed BBQ s on the deck, walks and paddles in the river, coffee and window shopping in town, relaxing on the lounge chairs out the front and taking in the views. The place is really well set up with every thing you need, and then some bonuses such as Foxtel and chrome cast - great for movie nights. Will be back!

    Alexandra2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, beautiful views, all four of us had comfortable beds, kitchen well equipped and thankfully, on the 42 degree day, each of the rooms had a split system which was brilliant, made the day bearable and could get a good night's sleep. We loved being close enough to walk to the river trail, a highlight of Warburton.

    Michael2019-12-22T00:00:00Z

    Tania2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful stay. The kids loved it, especially the chickens, goats and pony, and "driving" the bus. There is reasonable access to the river right near the farm gate, and many other spots neqrby as well. Melissa and Rob are great hosts, on a great property well worth a visit.

    Hugo2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a blast here! Melissa and Rob were so welcoming and wonderful, and my boys loved sleeping in the bus, pretending to drive the bus, and the pony rides!!! The games room was also great and overall, highly recommend for anyone looking for a different type of holidaying experience. The bus has everything you need and is a massive step up from camping, and was really comfortable. The value is also excellent. Very fun, very quirky, and great hosts! We will be back!

    Kirsten2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful spot with kind and generous hosts who were kind with their time, and the time with their animals, which my daughter really loved. Hope to come back soon, thanks Melissa and Rob (and Gerard) 🙂

    Chris2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa and Rob were very accomodating. What an awesome stay and great weather we had. Sitting around the fire in the evening with the stars soooo big in the sky. Watching satellites and the space station pass overhead was quite spectacular. Pony ride was immensely enjoyed :-) . Thanks for a great few nights.

    Greg2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa & Rob’s bus is really near Warburton in a lovely farm setting where you can relax, have a bbq and listen to the abundance of birds as the sun goes down. Near lots of activities in the area. A quirky stay in a converted bus with everything you’ll need for a ‘glamping’ experience. They were both lovely with lots of tips and available for anything we needed.

    Maaike & Johan2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa & Rob were amazing. Communication is constant, the fresh chicken eggs and the provisions for breakfast were great. We enjoyed our 2 nights stay with our boys. We are so grateful when Rob prepared the fire pit for us instantly when our boys requested for roasted marshmallows while we were grocery shopping in Woolies. The bus is an amazing place to take it all in and enjoy the precious moments with your family. We will definitely be back

Our beautiful log cabin, Kennedy's Folly, has character galore with a comfy queen size bed, open fire and views of the surrounding hills. Wineries, cafes and mountain walks all within a 10 minute drive. The Yarra Valley is a magnificent place to visit or stay.
'Kennedys Folly" This cabin was built over 100 years ago in the traditional manner but we have modernised it a bit but left a lot of character including wonky walls and the odd low roof. You do have to go outside under a verandah to access the bathroom but it too has been renovated and will not disappoint. There is tea & coffee making facilities, a fridge and a microwave for your use. There is also an electric frying pan There are no other cooking facilities so please allow for that when planning your meals if you plan to stay in. The Cabin is quite close to the main house but it is still very quite private and it opens away from the house.
The Yarra Valley has some of Australia's best wineries, greatest scenic views and lush National Parks. Great cafes and restaurants, country pubs and then go for a walk along the Yarra or the Warburton Trail to work it off. Variety abounds with giant Manna Gums or lovely waterfalls and the beautiful Yarra River. Warburton is a 10 minute drive, Healesville is 20 minutes and Yarra Glen only 1/2 hour.

  • A wonderful cosy cabin right on the Yarra river. The cabin itself is one room with a small ensuite bathroom, which was perfect for my partner and me. We only stayed one night but I wish we stayed longer!

    Addison2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jan's place has an awesome outdoor area, is across the road from the river and has great amenities! Would stay again for sure! Cheers

    Tim2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cabin, just enough for my 6yo boy and I to stay the night. Would have loved to walk along the river but we had so much rain during our stay. However, listening to the rain in our cabin was quite relaxing and had its nostalgic charm. Jan baked us fresh bread for breakfast. Nothing beats fresh bread!! My son loved it and would have liked to stay another night. Thank you, Jan.

Warburton makes a great central base for your Yarra Valley trip, surrounded by Gembrook, Healesville, Marysville, and Noojee. Warburton itself offers plenty of attractions, the most famous being the beautiful Yarra River. Lady Protea is situated centrally in the town of Warburton. Virtually everything is within walking distance: - 2 minute shortcut walk to IGA, Shell, and pizza - 3 minute bike ride to the Lilydale-Warburton trail - 4 minute walk to Projekt 3488 - 5 minute walk to parks, river, more shops and cafes - Right next to Mt Donna Buang (snows in cold and wet winters)
  • Our stay at Lady Protea was great. The house had everything we needed and more and the setting and views were beautiful. The house was clean and spacious with some lovely touches to ensure it felt homely. Great location with a short walk into Warburton and the stunning scenery it has to offer and a short drive into Healesville. Thank you Tracy 😊

  • A lovely home-y feel this place gave us. Took my mother here for her birthday and it’s a stone’s throw away from a magical river walk. The living room was very comfy and so was the outdoor seating and viewing deck. Wow! Playing table tennis and picking fruits were fun too. Recommend this place to anyone staying in Warburton.

This is a beautiful space on Mt Donna Buang in Warburton. Close enough to walk to the popular local cafes, your studio looks out over the mountains and is just a short walk away from the idyllic aquaduct trail in the forest. Swim in the river nearby or cycle the Donna if you dare! Below the main house, your spacious studio has a private entrance, large living space with vintage and retro features, large bedroom, private bathroom, wifi, stunning views, limited catering facilities.
The overall house is a 1940s building that has been fully renovated. The studio is downstairs, the only access is via its private entry from your own small deck. Inside the living space is large with polished floorboards, furnished with 2 1950s armchairs, a 1950s breakfast table and a Georgian chaise. The large bedroom has a very comfortable queen-sized bed, a wardrobe and a separate set of drawers for your clothes. The bathroom is modern and includes a full sized bath with shower overhead.
You look out to Mt Groom which is beautiful. A walk 800m up Donna Buang Rd brings you you to one of the entry points for the O’Shannessy Aquaduct, which is a beautiful walk. I love it in winter when the lyrebirds are singing. A walk down the hill takes you to the Yarra River, beautiful to walk and/or swim. Yes, this is a beautiful place to be and I love it.
  • A lovely peaceful little space with a beautiful backdrop&good location. Perfect for escaping the city :)

Kate was really easy to communicate with and gave us some really great local tips of what to do, where to eat etc. We look forward to visiting again :-)

Relax, retreat, read, write or explore the beautiful forests and rivers of Warburton. A cute little wooden wagon is a unique way to enjoy your stay in this spectacular mountain area 1 hour from Melbourne. Note: we have very thorough and careful cleaning and high hygiene standards including disinfecting all areas and surfaces. Pump Soap avail in bathroom & laundry. The wagon is 10 meters away from the house. A cosy, magical place to relax. Please ask if you have any questions about anything.
This is a gorgeous little gypsy wagon that you will fall in love with...the cute factor is delightful and the location is awesome being close to everything that nature and a little historic village has to offer! Small and ever so cute, there is enough space inside for a double bed (not suitable for those over 6 foot) and one overhead single child bed, a sink, a hot plate, a stool and a small bench. The hand pump tap provides cold drinking water. A kettle, heater and fan, tea/coffee, crockery, etc are provided. Outside are table and chairs and a fireplace/basic grill and a lovely green garden. A trampoline and hammock available. At the back of the house is a bar fridge for your exclusive use. Myself & partner are in the house and love living in this small village away from any big populations. Enjoy a cuppa under elm trees, mountain views, outdoor fireplace and outdoor bath. A wonderful experience in a beautiful area. Pets welcome on a leash and must not be inside the wagon. There is shelter under the wagon. Bathroom is 10 metres inside the house. The house is old and very slowly being renovated as we have time - there are no gleaming surfaces - it is no hotel but you only use the house briefly for the bathroom (or you can use the public toilets if you don’t want to use the house one). There is a lovely outdoor bath near the wagon (filled with hot and cold water by a hose from the laundry) and close to the campfire. Bathing under the elm trees and the sky is truly blissfully relaxing and for true indulgence book an Deluxe Bathe Package, more info below. A hammock swings gently under the orange tree while birds and butterflies flutter around the garden. It is 5 min walk to the river and 15 min walk to take away cafes and shops! The Aquaduct Trail is at the top of the street and the river for reflecting, fishing, paddling or swimming is at the bottom of the street. A bus from/to Lilydale train station is 7 min walk away. Bikes, pets and child welcome. There are views of the mountains and forests from the lawn and the back deck of the house and there is a trampoline for kids. We are still refining many things. Please note these pictures give 'mostly' the look and as we are constantly tweaking renovate and lushing up this wagon the look and interior may change slightly but always for the better :-) To really make sure that you recharge and be nourished, experience: - Reiki - Cherokee or Romi Romi (Maori) bodywork/healings - Aromatherapy nourishing head/feet/hand massage - Guided meditation and/or guided deep relaxation Sessions are $90 per person *Please note that these sessions are on hold for the time. INDULGENT DELUXE BATHE This fabulous, romantic, nourishing and deeply relaxing experience is only $32 extra (subject to avail) and includes: - Valet service: having the bath filled and made ready - Essential oils (100% pure) and/or flowers, rose petals or lavender in bathwater (subject to season and availability) - Chocolates and sparkling juice - Fresh towels and bath robes ready for when you eventually feel like emerging LOCAL TOURS - TOUR THE SIGHTS AND EXPERIENCES WITH A LOCAL! *Please note that these tours are on hold for the time being, however directions can be given for self exploration. Redwood Forest and Aqueduct trail walk, 4. winery tour or op shop tour, etc $85 per person incl morning or arvo tea Full day ie any or combo of the above or visit Marysville, lake mountain, Healesville, healesville sanctuary, winery tour, garden and historic tour, farm gate tour, Op Shop tour, etc. Price $145 per person and includes morning and arvo tea and a stop somewhere for lunch of your choice or you can bring a picnic. Bookings essential at least 48 hours beforehand. Paid via cash on the day.
Warburton is a quaint and lovely little village at the head of the Yarra Valley, only one hour from Melbourne's eastern suburbs. Surrounded by forests and rivers, you feel an extraordinary sense of peace and wellbeing envelop you when you arrive. At last, here is a place where time slows right down, where daydreaming is as important as focussing, where platypus, fish and ducks meet you in the water and lyrebirds and echidnas pass you on forest walks. Its a place to do nothing at all...or many things including the Warburton Rail Trail (stretching 30km from Melb), bush trails, river walks, picnics, swimming in Summer and snowplay up on Mt Donna Buang in Winter. Nature lovers, bird watchers, painters, photographers and exercise movers will love the myrtle beech rainforests, the 300 year old Ada Tree, a tall mountain ash, one of the world's largest known flowering trees. You can take a walk amongst the great canopies of giant eucalyptus trees on the skywalk at Mount Donna Buang Rainforest Gallery, or explore the old acqueduct or historic gold rush areas. Plenty of excellent cafes, restaurants, take away and wineries dot the area (this is part of the Yarra Valley gourmet trail) and curio shops make for great browsing along Warburton's main street.
  • A very lovely and snug spot. Surrounded by trees and snails. I got the pleasure of waking up to the sounds of birds and rain.

    燕清2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Unassuming & simple... and completely delightful! I felt very welcomed and enjoyed the privacy I was given. The gypsy wagon has the necessities for a good night's rest after exploring all the beauty that nature provides this stunning township. I was able to run a bath and relax under the stars, with only the possums for company. They say the simple things in life are the best, and Phoenix & Blue have created just that. A truly delightful experience, I hope to return soon.

  • It was a great farm stay experience! Being able to stay in a campervan and on a farm was interesting. The animals were so cute and were friendly to us. Kitchen in the campervan was well equipped with oven, stove and cooking utensils

    Stella2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Such an innovative set up! We particularly loved the porch and the farm animals. A great place to go if you’re wanting to distance yourself from the hustle and bustle & reconnect with nature.

    Jessica2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great for feeling like you are in the country, the experience of the hobby farm is probably the significant aspect of how you can make the most out of this stay. We stayed for 1 night with our dog, Mitch was lovely over the phone. The bath tub was great. Mitch also provided some written tips on what there is to see around. You have to leave the living quarters and go outside to enter the bathroom which is attached and is just a quick run along the veranda; it did not impact us negatively, but probably just something good to know. Also the toilet has some special instructions, again it did not impact us once we got the hang of it. Mitch left plenty of nice touches around which made us smile and get more out of the stay.

    Caroline2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay on the farm, feeding the horses was also a great experience. The caravan was clean and tidy, exactly as described.

  • Mitch and Andy's place was exceptional! The van was very clean, safe and had everything you need. The animals were very friendly and the place very so peaceful. The location was great as it was very close to supermarkets and Warburton. Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for few days off.

  • A lovely relaxing place to escape from the rat race. So close to Melbourne but feels completely cut off, peaceful and serene. Kim provided a lot of information and we felt very at home in the simple but stylish space. Can definitely recommend!

    Belinda2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a stunning location! So many windows mean that the accommodation seamlessly fits in with the surrounds. We constantly enjoyed the view of the trees and loved the serenity of the walking tracks. The place was immaculate and stylish. Kim had thoughtfully lit candles and had the radio on for our arrival. Also surprised us with some birthday treats for Mum that was unexpected! Really clear communication and help with local knowledge. Also loved that it was completely off grid. Would highly recommend!

    Tess2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing experience we loved it! Thank you for your friendly welcome, thoughtful touches and creating such a beautiful place to be. Waking up in the middle of the bush with just the sounds of animals without service and great facilities gave us such a fun and relaxing weekend as a family.

    Sarah2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We would give it more then 5 stars if we could. The location, deep in the forest, is spectacular. The sound of the forest, the birds, the wind through the gums, is idyllic. The house is cozy and comfortable (the kids toys a welcome touch). The absence of any mobile signal and WiFi is great for really feeling like you're away from it all. Yet it's close to Melbourne, and we only had a short drive to great restaurants and cafes in Gembrook.

    George2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful place to stay. Peaceful and relaxing where you can switch off and disconnect from the outside world. Will definitely go back!

    Dena2020-01-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place to stay, right in the national park! Kim was a great host, friendly, informative and had the right amount of interaction with us as guests! The cabin is so comfortable and stylish, when it says it’s remote believe the listing. It takes at least 15 to go in and out but on the road we saw wallabies, kangaroos, kookaburras and an echidna!! There’s a trail to walk behind the property which we walked (hard work with a toddler!) and somewhere to sit outside and relax. Kim also provides toys, games, books and dvds/tv to keep you entertained as there is no phone service or internet! The beds are comfy and it’s cosy when you’re inside and it’s raining, there’s plenty of privacy as Kim leaves you pretty much alone, the only thing I’d say is there is only one private bedroom (2 single beds) so the double looks into the living room in an open space. This is fine for families but if you’re going with friends you’d have to choose who slept in the main living space. This wasn’t a problem for us though. The town of Gembrook is cute, it has some nice restaurants and a couple of coffee shops plus a great playground. You’re also close to Kurth Kiln National park which was great for walking and playing by the creek and Emerald lake for Puffing Billy. I’d say if you’re nervous of being near insects and forests and don’t like having access to your email this isn’t the place for you but we loved the chance to be in nature, relax, read our books and let our little one explore and let their imagination go wild!

    Sadie2020-01-26T00:00:00Z

  • We had a most relaxing time at the WinterWoods Cottage. The place is stylish and very cosy, we didnt think that the photos does it any justice. Fully equipped with all essentials and on top of that, there are many thoughtful details that made a great experience for us. Good location too! Thanks Sarah and Jo for offering us a beautiful home for our getaway.

  • Great location in hilly surrounds, and moments from the main strip. Fresh clean air with the sounds of the birds singing and the rustle of the trees swaying with the breeze. We really enjoyed our weekend away. Sarah and Jo were great hosts, whilst we only crossed paths the once communication was always quick and easy. We definitely recommend to those seeking a break from a busy life.

  • Sarah's place provides such a lovely getaway with an idyllic location and cosy accommodation. It's the perfect place to unwind and reset, with access to a lovely walking track along an aquaduct behind the property. It's also a short drive into the centre of Warburton if you need supplies. Sarah was very friendly and hospitable too, we hope to return again in Winter so that we can enjoy sitting by the fire and watching the stunning nature through the window.

  • I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Winterwoods. The cottage is quaint and cosy with everything you could need. I appreciated the extra touches which made it feel like a home away from home. I really loved the fire and the bath and relaxing on the couch or in the comfy bed with lovely linen. I enjoyed being able to walk out the back garden to the aqueduct trail as well as much time locally by the river. Sarah and Jo have put much thought into their sparkling little cottage and I appreciated their hospitality and local knowledge. I enjoyed my time at Winterwoods immensely.

  • Lovely stay at Leon's! he is an awesome host, he will help you with everything. The house is still renovation, but the rooms are tidy and look lots better than the photos represent! go there! one of my favourite Airbnb!

  • Easy. Relax. Spacious. Hospitable & helpful host. Cosy balcony--which I used heavily:-) Huge entertainment space. Great location with beautiful surroundings. This two weeks will remain in me as a heart-warming memory.

  • I was here for over two months and I would love to visit again. Leon is a very fun and amicable guy, a great story-teller and happy to share a beer. Leon's house has all the essentials, with good-sized bedrooms and communal spaces. After he finishes renovating outside, the house-encompassing deck will be a great place to hang out. Thanks for hosting me! :)

    Gabrielle2018-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down staying at Leon's place has to be one of the best Air BnB experiences I have ever had. While all the focus for most people is on the house or the room, in this case, having Leon there as the host, stole the thunder of being worried about what the room may be like. As soon as I arrived, there was Leon in the front garden coming to greet me and offer to help me unload my car. Talk about an ice-breaker and making someone feel at home. The room itself was more than enough for one, with its supplies of blankets, towels, etc, very quiet cul-de-sac and comfortable space. But you soon forget all this when you meet Leon, one of the best human beings out there. Very hospitable, kind, quirky sense of humor (which I love) and great conversationalist. Two nights in his home felt more like being back at mine, than at someone else's. At the end of my long day, I'd look forward to sitting in front of the fire with Leon and talking the night away. Definitely well worth it, for anyone thinking of a great spot to rest your head and feel as if you've come home. While the house is going through some renovations, you really don't notice it, and there was no problems getting access to the kitchen, bathroom and other areas of the house. Thank you, Leon! Top guy. I'll be back.

  • Platypus Den was perfect. The interior space was much more welcoming than the images look. The river frontage and location were incredible. And we loved the chickens pottering about. We'd definitely book here again next time we're in Warburton

  • We loved our stay at Platypus Den. Kirk and Jenny were incredibly warm and welcoming and very helpful. They leant us sauce for our bbq dinner, brought over a chicken for our son to have a pat and showed us around their property when we were exploring. We had a gorgeous walk into Warburton along the rail trail and a lovely stroll down to the river. This was the perfect weekend getaway for our little family. Thank you Kirk and Jenny x
