Very quiet location off the main road set up a small track . Beautiful scenery and views of Llanllwni mountain in the distance. A perfect retreat to avoid the crowds and destress from modern day life and re-energise the batteries. The cottage has a well equipped kitchen, spacious bedroom, and cosy relaxing open plan living space with a logburner. Linen and towels are provided too. There is a sunny decking area, perfect for outdoor dining, barbecuing, and chilling with a glass of vino. Later enjoy star gazing or watching the red kites fly overhead, as we are lucky enough to have fab star lit skies
Brynifor is set alongside a bridal path and very close to the River Teifi. It is also within walking distance to the local village community run shop in Capel Dewi if you need to pick up a few supplies, where there is a working Woolen Mill and pretty church. Our location is an ideal base for exploring south, west and mid Wales. Brynifor is within half an hour's drive from the Cardigan Bay coastline with its sandy beaches and spectacular scenery and is also one of the best places in the UK to see dolphins, seals and porpoises. Boat trips are available from Newquay to get an even closer look! Besides the coastline there are numerous things to do. You can canoe along the Teifi River through Cilgerran Gorge – the home of otters and kingfishers. Or visit an Iron Age settlement (featured on a BBC Production) Castell Henllys. There’s horse riding on Llanllwni mountain, fishing, Oakwood theme park, Go Karts, Folly Farm, a butterfly farm, steam railways, Castles and Museums – the list is endless! The National Woollen Museum and the National Botanical garden are not far. The cottage has lots and lots of tourist attraction leaflets and maps of the surrounding area to help you choose your days out. And for anyone just wanting some quiet relaxing time there are starry night skies, Cludeo, jigsaws, and quite a few books.

  • Such a cosy, quiet, peaceful place for a relaxing retreat. We spent a lovely couple of days exploring the coasts and forests by day, and snuggling up by the log fire in the evenings. Jackie and Dave were very attentive hosts, offering plenty of helpful tips and answering our questions quickly and efficiently. We spent a very enjoyable afternoon with Jackie in her pottery studio learning to throw, which was a fantastic bonus.

  • A cute little annex/flat with everything you need for a retreat away. Biddy's artwork gives the place a unique feel and a lot of thought has gone into the set up. You have your own little garden area in which Biddy allowed me to have a fire, even kindly providing me with the firepit! Shops are short walk away if supplies are needed, amazing walks on your doorstep (just walk to the top of the hill and down a track on the left to get to the river!). I didn't try out the canoeing but definitely will next time! A lovely stay and great value

When we decided to open Blodeuen as a holiday home, we made careful consideration to what we would like, and came up with an airy open-ness that maximises light and colour, with cosy comfort to relax in. We ourselves are very creative, and have imbued the home with colour that is creatively inspiring and stimulating whilst deeply restful to combat the mundane stresses of ordinary life. Our ethos is to reuse and recycle, we have recycling and composting facilities to reduce our waste, there are bird feeders in the garden and beehives in the field behind the property, we try to live with nature as much as possible and have planted many trees in the field. We ask you to respect our ethos whilst staying. We welcome feedback.

  • Such a lovely stay, and really was so convenient and easy to find. A great location for us - as we have a lot of family dotted around in the neighbouring towns so felt very much a home from home. Very cosy and self - contained, a lovely space, very relaxing. Look forward to staying again sometime in the not too distant future, I’m sure. Best wishes, Elinor

  • A nice spacious bungalow with 3 bedrooms, can sleep 6 easily. The bungalow has all the amenities including bed linen, towels and beach towels. The location is in a nice picturesque village but still close to the local attractions. There was a welcome fruit basket with bread and milk which was very thoughtful of Sarah & Chris and they always responded promptly to any queries Would love to visit again Thanks

  • What a lovely space - just right for our family weekend away with two small children. A high chair was provided, as well as a child’s toilet seat, and plenty of games. Also, blackout blinds in all the bedrooms. All the family felt very welcome, with bread, milk, fruit, biscuits and cheese on arrival. WiFi issue swiftly resolved by Sarah and Russell (after 9 pm on Saturday evening :-) ) The views are stunning, we enjoyed eating on the terrace in the evening sunshine, and there was lots to visit in the area. We had a good time at the Wool Museum in Drefach Felindre. I would recommend!

    Betty2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful house in the most gorgeous location, we loved every minute of our stay, Sarah very kindly left us some welcome goodies for our arrival which were much appreciated after a long journey, the house itself is bright, airy and spacious, decorated and furnished with thought, creativity and style, the local area is absolutely stunning, from Cenarth falls to all the beautiful beaches, Ceredigion has so much more to offer than we expected, just perfect.

    Carree2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay and the hosts are fantastic! We were absolutely delighted with our stay. Every care was taken to ensure that we had all we needed, the place is so well equipped, super clean and eBay was so lovely was that Sarah and her mum left us milk, bread and more as a kind welcome. The views are splendid and it’s very peaceful: a good spot all round- not too far from the sea and not too far from the Brecon Beacons as well as from the main motorway leading to Carmarthen. Somewhere you can take the time to contemplate life and also find lots of great places to visit. The only thing worth checking are directions, as the air BnB map is not totally accurate!!!

    Vicki2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • You get a lot for your money at this place the views are amazing and the accommodation is great the pictures don't do it justice its a beautiful place and the beach is only 20 minutes away.

A double room in my comfortable, arty home. Cosy, light, cheerful and homely. House has views over the Teifi valley; close to Canoe club & all amenities; twenty-five minute drive to Heritage coast beaches; great for walkers, cyclists, & nature lovers. Free tea and coffee. Breakfast on request for small additional fee. Other single/double rooms also available on request for an extra fee. Shared kitchen, bathroom and sitting room with log fire. Lovely garden with sun deck and fire-pit. Free WiFi.
Mine is an interesting house which was originally a small school founded and run by Thomas's great uncle, William Marles. The house is large and airy, with newly decorated sitting room. Bay windows look out, over the garden, across the valley to the river Teifi, though you would never guess this from the street. The kitchen is large and has all amenities. The garden is private, sunny and bursting with life. There is a fire-pit for night time stargazing on the deck.
Llandysul is traditional small Welsh town, with a selection of shops, pubs, cafes and takeaways. It is well placed as a base for fabulous local walks and for exploring the beautiful Teifi Valley and the Heritage Coast with its many excellent beaches. As well as exciting activities such as canoeing (Llandysul Paddlers) and coasteering, there is plenty of rolling countryside to discover on foot or on wheels. There is a cycle network easily accessed from Llandysul and the Brechfa forest cycle trail is not far away. There is a Leisure centre with gym and sports hall and swimming pool just a short walk away.
  • Lovely, warm and generous people; a cosy, arty house and a really comfy bed made Biddy's place a wonderfully welcoming and peaceful base for exploring the area. Wholeheartedly recommended. Thank you Biddy :-)

  • Meet the extra mile hosts! I think I run out of "feedback stars". They are the most welcome and generous hosts I have never met. Nothing is too much for them, they will look into all your needs to make sure you have a extraordinary and enjoyable stay at their place. This also included travelling with my house cat and making sure my cat was also comfortable and happy. Their place is allocated in a very beautiful natural setting yet, not too far from other towns to do any shopping or enjoy a coffe. It is a good place for exploring the West of Wales or choosing to stay and enjoy the beautiful and peaceful surroundings of their location. Their property is very special shared with other beautiful and friendly 3 cats and few gentle and loving chickens. The house is lovely, modern and very tasfully decorated. It is also kept very tidy and clean with an eco friendly mind set. As well as your room, you have the sun room with the lovely views to their garden and amusing chickens if you feel you would like to relax having a cuppa by yourself. The Blue Room with beautiful views indeed, offered more that what I expected. Very spacious and very beautifully decorated. It has a TV and the bed is super comfortable

A quiet rural retreat. This charming 200 year old cottage is surrounded by fields full of wildlife and is an idyllic get away for couples.
This delightful Grade II listed cottage was once the gardener's cottage on a wealthy 19th century landowner's estate and is built onto the side of a walled garden. The cottage has been sympathetically renovated with ecology in mind. Solar PV panels help with the supply of electricity and a log boiler, using our own wood, together with solar thermal panels supplying hot water and heating to keep the cottage cosy and warm. There's also a log burner to snuggle up in front of when the nights are cool. Outside there is a patio with spacious private garden opening onto our fields with the river and woodland beyond. The farm has 43 acres of grazing for sheep and cattle, including an area of bluebell woods and a ¾ acre lake where you can watch a variety of wildlife including dragon flies, wild ducks and geese etc. There is a private parking area at the front of the cottage.
The cottage is about 1 mile outside the little village of Capel Dewi, with its own community shop and working woollen mill and is within easy access of the local market towns of Llandysul, Lampeter and Newcastle Emlyn. It is an area where Welsh is the first language of many local people. It is an ideal place for touring with many interesting places to visit, castles, walking, bird watching, fishing etc. and within easy reach of the beautiful beeches and coastline. There are many Historic Gardens of Wales to visit in the area plus the National Botanic Garden of Wales just outside Carmarthen.
  • We had a fantastic time in the cottage! I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful location in Wales, with access to great activities and locations nearby. Gill and Richard were very welcoming, and very responsive, sorting out a minor issue we encountered incredibly rapidly. The cottage is beautiful - with amazing views over fields full of sheep - as well as very peaceful and quiet. As city dwellers, we’ve become used to a constant background noise of traffic and the ever present light pollution - the lack of these at the cottage was amazing! Inside the cottage, everything was very comfortable and we weren’t lacking anything. The well equipped kitchen was great for us to cook lots of our own meals, and the smart TV meant we could relax and watch some films to wind down. We managed to fit lots into our time there thanks to the cottage being well situated between the Pembrokeshire coast and the Brecon Beacons. We did some beautiful walks in both areas, as well as some more local walking. We also found a place nearby (called Saddle Tramps) to do some horse riding, in addition to exploring some of the local towns and villages. Overall, a fantastic stay, and I would highly recommend!

  • Our stay in this beautiful cottage was amazing. We were looking for a peaceful and quiet place in beautiful surroundings and we got all of that. There is a huge area of private grounds around the cottage and we truly enjoyed our walks along the stream and through the fields. The cottage itself is really well equipped, nicely decorated and very clean. It has been our first visit to Wales and Gill and Richard made it a memorable one. They are great hosts!

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garden Cottage. Gill was there to greet us and was friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee and milk and welshcakes were a welcome touch when we arrived. The cottage is very secluded and a lovely place to relax and be peaceful. There are great local walks and the cottage is very near beautiful coastal New Quay and Cenarth Falls and many other local attractions. The cottage was immaculately clean and supplies everything you need for a great home from home stay! Thank you.

  • This cottage is an amazing space. It’s perfect for a relaxing time in Wales and a great place to come home to after a day out touring. It’s a dog friendly place and the location is perfect for walkers.

  • Gill and Richard are lovely hosts. When we first arrived Gill took us through everything and there were notes and guides dotted about so we knew places to eat etc. We were left Welsh cakes, milk and tea and coffee which were a nice touch :) The cottage itself is absolutely stunning and so peaceful, we went for a walk and could not stop laughing at getting stuck in the woods while the sheep watched :) Such a beautiful place to have a rest away from all the hustle and bustle and we would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of booking. Thank you for a making us feel so welcome :) x

  • I would recommend Gill's place to anyone wanting some peace and relaxation in the beautiful Welsh countryside. It was so lovely to sit outside the cottage with its views across the fields to the woods and the sound of the river in the distance, that it was hard to drag ourselves away to go sight-seeing! The cottage had everything we needed, it was clean, well furnished, nice hot shower, well equipped kitchen etc and Gill was very friendly and welcoming.

  • The cottage & the location were amazing; perfect for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Our two spaniels really couldn't believe their luck, a totally dog friendly environment.

  • I had a lovely week in this gorgeous little cottage. I spent time in the garden basking in the sunshine and got to explore the local area too. The cottage is perfect for a short stay and I enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. My dog really appreciated the garden and the lovely little walk down to the river too!

The camping barn (hay loft) offers the enjoyment of a camping experience without the fuss of a tent, plus its watertight with a roof and stone walls and the added benefit of being secure, for your self catering break. There is a wood burning stove (Kiln Dried Wood £5/bag). Wet room is a short walk across courtyard to another part of the outbuilding. Enjoy our surrounding gardens/fields with walks by the river and fire pit for a riverside barbecue for those warm sunny evenings.
The 'Hay Loft' is essentially a camping barn and as the name suggests used to be for hay storage over the stables beneath, providing basic accommodation for either a romantic break for two or for a family of four, sharing a large open plan space. Beds and mattresses provided and we now include bedlinen, pillows and towels in the price. A woodturning stove is installed (HETAS certified and DEFRA approved) for extra warmth on those cold nights, plus a microwave. The accommodation has its own garden space, but guests are welcome to enjoy our fields and river. A shared wet room is available for guests with shower, basin and wc, which is a short walk down the side of the building to the ground floor of the annex. Outside tap in courtyard area, suitable for drinking water.
Well situated to local shops or 10 minutes down the road two supermarkets in the market town of Lampeter. There is a wide selection of tourist spots within 50 minutes driving time including steam railways, gold mines, NT properties, hill walking, mountain bike trails, beaches and much more
  • Absolutely perfect for our needs. A beautiful place in a lovely location, with a real camping feel but with that added extra comfort of a real bed. Very friendly and helpful hosts! Look forward to returning at some point. X

  • Great location and very spacious room. Me and my girlfriend had a 2 night stay on out motorcycle trip around wales. We enjoyed a bbq around the fire pit next to the river that is a lovely setting. The hosts are very nice and accommodating, helped with tips on local places to visit. I would recommend.

  • Beautiful location! The Hay Loft was just what we were looking for, a dry private space to stay, no TV, with lovely outside space to play with our toddler. The little river and bridge were a firm fav for our boy too! Stephen and Sarah left us to it but while pottering around were happy to have a natter. Cant wait to come back.

Large flat with carpark located at the centre of local amenities.
Llandysul is a peaceful town but retains all of the local services and shopping which most of rural Wales has lost. Ceredigion enjoys the lowest crime rates in the UK and the Welsh language continues to be spoken by most the population.
  • Lovely place, peaceful and cozy. Just what we was looking for with a lovely host.

  • Great place to stay for our work trip. Communication was top notch. Excellent value for money. Rural location.

    Oliver2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Very spacious flat in a good location. We asked with very short notice to stay here and were greeted shortly after and shown aroung the flat :) Very friendly host with local tips. Would highly recommend, thanks again for the stay!

    Rebecca2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • The flat is very spacious. We paid £123 for two nights and wasn’t quite the standard that we have been used to from air bnb. I got the feeling that it was work in progress with no frills. The single bed is a camp bed. There wasn’t a smoke detector and exit from the 2nd floor would be a challenge in the event of a fire. The property details do state no heating and there isn’t ! A a fan above the fire in the longe doesn’t give enough heat to warm the open plan lounge. Upstairs felt damp and was a bit cold. I’m sure that some of my comments will be rectified in which case :- Would we stay there again - yes but not in colder months

The Retreat is exactly that, a lovingly up-cycled, eco static caravan with the most stunning view, perched on the edge of the Teifi valley and surrounded by farmland. We welcome you to come and take a break away from the busy day to day of life and kick back with your favourite drink on the deck and soak up the view in the day and the stars at night.
We welcome you to our little Welsh bubble tucked away at the bottom of a track. Originally a working farm, it was neglected for some years and it is now our accommodation project which we are lovingly restoring with every available minute and penny! We are surrounded by working farms with no close neighbours so you can really get away from it all here in this tranquil spot. Recently rescued and up-cycled the Retreat is a quirky static caravan. It is our first eco project with solar power, a composting loo and a wood burner for heat and has a 60's/ 70's feel, large deck and stunning view. Nestled away in our 10 acres of land but still easily accessible (about 10m from our track) it has all you need for a comfortable stay in a beautiful setting. Ideal for couples or a small family, the main bedroom has a comfy double bed, the 2nd bedroom has two small single beds (a travel cot and highchair are available on request). There is a bathroom with bath/shower and compost toilet, a light and airy lounge with woodburning stove and DVD player. Lastly a well stocked kitchen with a gas oven and hob and a cool box for refrigeration. We also provide these essentials tea, coffee, 1pt milk, crumpets and our own eggs (when available). Perfect for nature lovers and people who enjoy staying in quirky places you are free to explore our wilderness and discover secret resting places in which to relax and unwind. Read a good book next to the bubbling stream, swing in a hammock or kick back on the deck whilst taking in the view across the valley and spot our wide range of resident wildlife from hedgehogs to buzzards and tawny owls.
Llanwenog is a small hamlet with a 13th Century church which is the most complete medieval church in Ceredigion. The Retreat is an excellent base to explore the many local attractions as well as providing a secluded oasis in which to hibernate. We are surrounded by farmland and beautiful views across the Teifi Valley, yet only 30 mins drive away from a selection of stunning beaches which cater for all needs from dolphin and seal spotting to rock pools and sand. There are many activities on offer too for all ages from walking, fishing and cycling to castles, farm experiences and theme parks!
  • A lovely cabin set in a superb rural area, we enjoyed the peace and quiet and the cosy fire. Unfortunately the weather was not so great and we couldn't spend so much time outside and fully enjoy the space. Would definitely return during the summer.

  • Lovely place in a beautiful area. We had an amazing stay.

    Hayley2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • The retreat is a magical place. The view is amazing and one of the best sun rises I have seen. Helen was very friendly and welcoming and we had everything we needed. The bedroom does get quite cold in winter but the thick duvet and hot water bottles kept us warm enough at night, and with the fire lit in the sitting room it was very cosy.

    Gemma2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay in the countryside, Great place with great grounds to explore. Excellent as a base to explore the surrounding area. Helen was very friendly and welcoming. The 4 of us had a great weekend away!

  • What a wonderful and cozy place! Stunning views from the porch with a nice patch of grass for our 14 month old to roam around. About 30 minutes from beaches and we really enjoyed walking on the Ceredigion Coast Path.

  • A real eco retreat from it all with stunning scenery, lovely hosts.

    Pauline2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The views from the property are even nicer than I expected and it felt like we were away from it all without being too secluded. The hosts were really friendly and responded quickly when we requested more ice for the cool box etc. The double bed was comfortable and we all slept well. The gas oven was easy to use, as was the wood burner, and there were enough utensils, pots, pans to cook a variety of meals. We had takeaway from Romino’s (cash only) one evening however which was really tasty and good value (it’s just a few mins drive away near the Nisa and Londis). It was nice to have a private gated area around the property which enabled our dog and children to have a wander/play safely. We had a walk across the field to the hammocks and stream one evening and again the views are great. We also visited a dog friendly beach at Llangrannog SA44 6SN which was small but beautiful. We all felt well rested and relaxed after our visit and we would return.

  • Stunning view! The little caravan has everything you will need. 25 min driver from the beach and a short drive to the supermarket. Kids loved seeing the cows in the evening and exploring the fields as well as sitting in front of the little fireplace. Highly recommend!

Nestled in a quiet spot in the Welsh hills, our luxurious shepherd's hut enjoys a field of it's own and exclusive use of the hut's hot tub. Underfloor heating will keep you cosy and after supper simply convert the dining area to a comfy double bed. The hut has an ensuite shower room perfect for freshening up after a day of adventure at the nearby coast. The garden is enclosed to provide security for dogs, but there's plenty of space to take them for a run.
Use our hut as a base to explore the many attractions West Wales has to offer, or simply get away from it all and enjoy the peace and tranquility of our little slice of paradise.
Our hut is located in a field of its own which enjoys the sunshine right up until sunset. Stretch your legs in our beautiful valley or head to one of the many other amazing sites to see in the area.
  • The Three Spaniel's is by far THE best place I have stayed. Everything about this place is outstanding. From the location to Miri and Dave, I honestly could not fault this place. The hut in itself is beautifully presented with some really nice personal touches. The location of where the hut is situated on their ground is perfect, peaceful and secluded. The area of Wales in which this hut is located is perfect for everyone! Whether you want to just stay at the hut and explore Miri and Dave's land or if you want to go into big towns, you are not far away or if like me you want to go to quieter places to explore and walk, you are only 30-40 minutes drive away from some really beautiful places. Miri and Dave are by far the best host's I have ever met, and one of the nicest couples I have ever had the privilege to meet. I unfortunately had an unexpected circumstance on my last night at The Three Spaniel's, with no phone and in the middle of nowhere! Miri and Dave were so thoughtful and kind towards me, which flowed from them naturally. No matter the beautiful hut and hot tub (all done electronically!!!) or the location. I endeavour to return to The Three Spaniels to see Miri and Dave again!! I have not stopped talking about this place since I have returned and long to go back! Miri and Dave; you truly have created a beautiful space.

  • We very much enjoyed our stay in the Shepherds Hut. It was clean, cosy and had everything we needed. It is in a very peaceful location with lovely views and it’s easy to get to various places nearby. The hot tub is a special bonus too! Miri was a great host and very helpful with recommendations. We are looking forward to returning again in the summer.

  • Lovely stay at The Three Spaniels. Hosts Miri and Dave were there to greet us and show us around and are very friendly. The hut was well equipped and the underfloor heating kept us warm and cosy. We had a fantastic New Year’s Eve in the hot tub watching the stars as we were fortunate enough to have a clear night sky! There were hand drawn maps in the folder in the hut which were very well drawn and accurate! Would definitely recommend.

  • We have just returned from an excellent stay at The Three Spaniels. Our hosts Dave and Miri were extremely welcoming and always on hand for questions/ advice. We were kindly invited out for a Chinese and cinema trip by the hosts, a great finish to our stay. The Shepherds hut was spotless, with all the amenities we needed, the hot tub was a real treat. It was great to hear about all the exciting plans from the hosts and hopefully we will be back soon, Ozzy is already missing Murphy and Woody!

  • Beautiful cabin with thoughtful touches. Friendly hosts and gorgeous surroundings!

  • Miranda and Dave are amazing hosts. The hut is amazing we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hut is spotlessly clean and very cosy, and is comfortable/suitable in all weather. There are lots of exciting places to go around the local area, and beautiful walks. We watched shooting stars whilst in the hot tub. Overall our experience was unforgettable.

    Bethan2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing accommodation, beautiful surroundings, and perfect hosts. What a find The Three Spaniels was, the perfect family getaway. The hosts Dave and Miri made us all feel very welcome from the moment we arrived, offering us refreshments after our long drive before giving us a guided tour of the facilities and their 26 acres of land (which you are welcome to explore for yourselves anytime). Our puppy also enjoyed the guided tour given to him by Murphy and Woody (the resident Spaniels). The shepards hut is a great place to stay, spotlessly clean and finished to a very high standard, it provided enough space for 2 adults a 9 year old and 13 month old Cocker Spaniel to live comfortably for 4 nights. The enclosed garden and brand new hot tub are a fantastic finishing touch. The folder provided by Miri in the hut gives ample information on the surrounding areas, from the best beaches, activities, and places to eat. Dave and Miri were always on hand to answer any questions we had and nothing was too much trouble for them. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will certainly be returning to The Three Spaniels in the near future. Thanks Dave and Miri, keep up the good work.

    Matt2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Miri and Dave's shepherd hut is a little slice of Welsh heaven. It's the perfect escape, both cosy and comforting as well as having that added bit of luxury with the hot tub. You are near enough lots of beautiful spots that it's worth venturing out for an explore but there was nothing better than coming back at the end of a day to a glass of wine in that hot tub! Just perfect. Thank you both!

  • This is such a beautiful spot and caravan. We loved every minute of being here, and Wendy and James were the most wonderful hosts. They were so helpful and friendly, and my daughter loved her time helping with the animals. Can't thank you both enough for a wonderful few days. Felt extremely lucky to stay somewhere so lovely.

  • Fantastic accommodation, even better hosts. Can't thank them enough for our very short stay with them

  • Highly recommended. From start to finish Wendy was spot on. She is so accommodating and friendly. I cannot fault her. It is such a beautiful place and for those who loves animals, it is the place to be. We would definitely book a trip to theirs again😀

    Ravi2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a fantastic place to stay, the kids loved it so much having marshmallows on the fire in the evening and seeing the friendly animals. Wendy and James are perfect hosts very helpful with local knolage and everything is clean and tidy and very well organised. We went to lots of lovely beaches even saw a seal, we visited a gold mine and took a lovely ride on a mountain steam railway. There is loads to do just not enough time. We will defiantly hope to visit again.

  • This is a wonderful place to stay. I would highly recommend and we may well return. The caravan has everything you need and is ideal for a little family get away. My daughter loved feeding the animals and Wendy was so kind to spend time with her telling her all about the animals, answering all of her questions and creating wool art with her. Wendy and James were so kind and attentive. The location is stunning and is perfect for travelling around the local area. If you get the chance to go here then you must! Thank you Wendy and James.

    Chris2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Good base location to visit the area, since it is located in the middle. Very quiet area, ideal to relax. Wendy and James are excellent hosts. They are always available. Wendy has a lot of patience with children. It makes them participate both in caring for animals and in other activities. Very well equipped.

    Ana Isabel2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful week spent at the cabin which has stunning views over the valley. We loved watching the weather - good and bad! - roll in over the trees & valley. It was the perfect base to explore the beautiful local area and nearby coastline. There’s many places to visit nearby and keep occupied, but it’s also the perfect place to chill out and feel peaceful and close to nature. We loved being near to the animals - pigs and sheep - and helping out at feeding time. Wendy and James are the perfect hosts, we had everything we needed, and they are on hand should you need anything extra or local tips. We are a family of 3 and found the cabin to be perfectly equipped for our needs and spotlessly clean. A peaceful and tranquil place that we hope to visit again one day. Thank you Wendy & James!

  • Warm home, warm welcome. The small touches; loaf of bread, butter, milk and eggs (cookies and wine) made us feel very welcome at this property. Suited our needs very well, peace and quiet and not too far to travel. Janie's is worth seeking out, we were made to feel very welcome in this part of West Wales.

My place is close to great views, the beach, Ceredigion coastal path. You’ll love my place because of the tranquility of the countryside, warm welcome and loads of lovely walks. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and furry friends (1 pet only, on occassion, we may accept 2 pets but only by prior arrangement. There will be an additional charge for 2nd pet of £10 per night).
  • A lovely, warm and clean little cottage located in a quiet area surrounded by fields. Perfect for two plus dog xx

  • We had such a lovely and relaxing stay. It was so cute and cosy and in a great location, Enfys also provides loads of great ideas of places to visit around the area which is really helpful! Would definitely recommend!

  • A neat, well presented barn, absolutely perfect for my husband and I, with our two year old Rottie. A quiet location - if you want to really relax and unwind, this is the place to go! With beaches close by, hills all around and a cosy fire indoors, there is everything you need to find your peace once more.

    Lyn2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • We booked Enfys's place as it was situated perfectly for us to visit nearby family as well as doing some exploring and beaching. The barn was beautifully decorated and the kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed (including things such as foil for us to wrap our picnic food up in!). The partition in the middle of the barn to separate the bed from the living space was a nice touch, and there was plenty of space for us to unpack our belongings. The bed was super comfy as well! We were relatively fortunate with the weather and it was lovely to eat breakfast outside each morning to the sounds of the sheep next door bleating! As it was warm we didn't need to light the log fire, but I can imagine it warms the place up beautifully when needed. Some of our favourite spots to visit include Cwmtydu - lovely coastal walk with plenty of secluded bays and Cei Bach - a bigger, less touristy beach overlooking Newquay. We'd love to come back again and stay for longer

  • Perfect location to switch off and chill.. Great beaches and places to explore nearby. I would definitely recommend this property for a relaxing get away.

The Little Yurt sleeps two and is perfect for a romantic holiday in idyllic West Wales countryside. Fully furnished with double bed, bedside table, wood burning stove and outdoor bush craft kitchen the little Yurt is a luxurious camping experience. Included is access to the the delightfully hand crafted compost loo and gas fuelled hot shower which are within convenient walking distance.
Made locally, all the wood used to construct The Little Yurt comes from the ten and a half acres of meadows and woodland in which it is situated. Fitted with a hard wood locking door the Little Yurt is secure and private for the length of your stay. Positioned in its own private meadow the Little Yurt's south facing entrance overlooks its very own fire pit and the beauty of the West Wales countryside.
As you drop down into the valley the rural location is seen in all it's glory with narrow lanes, flower filled hedgerows in Spring, ancient oak trees and few other homes. Within a short drive away there is opportunity to shop, eat and take in an eclectic mix of gigs which play throughout the year; The Small World Theatre in Cardigan is a great intimate venue hosting bands from around the world. It's also worth keeping an eye out for local gigs taking place at pubs and bars. You have the choice of immersing yourself in total peace and tranquility or diping into local small town life with a vibrant friendly welcome as well as enjoying days at the beach in sandy coves where you may spot dolphins or seals.
  • This is a little piece of paradise and a special place for our family. This was the second time visiting and this time we brought our 4 month old baby (it’s not advertised for infants -we’re just an adventurous family). We made some fantastic forever memories! Jake is the perfect host and the yurt is as gorgeous as we remembered. So much privacy and space with a warm welcome. Thanks again and see you next year!

    Joanna2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely loved staying in the yurt, it was our idea of heaven! We booked last minute and Jake was very flexible with our constantly changing arrival time! The yurt is beautiful and light and the outdoor kitchen was so nice to use. The whole place feels calm and the woodland area is beautiful. An amazing stay, thank you very much!

  • A very special place and experience.

    Jordi2019-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • The Yurt is an incredibly charming, cozy little space in a beautiful secluded wooded valley. No other people or phone signal means this is the perfect place if you want to just get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. We enjoyed sitting around the campfire at night, looking at the stars (dark sky area!), or taking trips to the coast during the day to see the marine wildlife and having a swim. The hosts (and their dog) were lovely as well. Highly recommended!

  • A very walk welcome. Beautiful setting. Private and peaceful.

    Justine2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquil, peaceful spot. The only sound we could hear for hours was the sound of nature. Great place to switch off from the world and unwind.

    Julie2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a restful and peaceful stay here. The yurt is warm and has a really comfortable bed. The outdoor kitchen and fire pit is great for cooking and we enjoyed breakfast, dinner and preparing our lunch here. We sat under the kitchen shelter on the camping chairs to have our breakfast the one morning it rained. The yurt is in a meadow with trees and wild flowers. It's quiet and feels very private. You can explore and walk around which is lovely. In a good location we found it easy to explore the wider area, visiting beaches. Would love to come bacl again!

The cottage is modest with a wood burner making it cozy.As well as a double bed, there is a sofa bed, which is 4ft. Gwyddgrug is centrally situated in Wales and is very accessible to all of the country. We have famous cycle trails close by, Brechfa Forest. There is Kayaking in Llandysul and beautiful beaches everywhere. Upon request stabling for up to 2 horses. This is extra. If needed I can supply food for you to prepare for your breakfast at a little extra. Let me know. Thank you, Naomi.
Gwyddgrug is a very small farming village set in rolling hills. Although near the main road still has a peaceful ambience about it. However the road leads easily to the south, north or if you want to stay in the middle, there is plenty to keep you occupied or relax.
  • A fabulous place to stay, all you can possibly need for a really chilled out stay

    Julie2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely host indeed! Naomi bent over backwards to ensure my stay was a great one, which indeed it was. Perfectly positioned too to explore & head off the beaten track, so many stunning gems close by. A very special place & a perfect host!

  • The cottage was perfect, Naomi gave directions straight to the door and it was lovely to be surrounded by the small holding she has there. The cottage was immaculate with everything that was needed and it was great to be able to watch tv in bed, the place was very cosy and homely. Only 30 minutes by car to New Quay and local shops close. Will be coming back soon.

A gorgeous place to stay this September. Golden, sunny days, lush fields and a warm sea. This beautiful barn conversion is just 10 minutes drive from what are some of the finest beaches in West Wales such as Penbryn, Llangrannog, Mwnt, the West Wales coastal path, all about 15 min drive from here. ...There are gorgeous woodlands, just behind the house and a few minutes drive away. The heather is out, blueberries on the way and black berries are super ripe and ready for picking.
Life at Glandwr is about peace and healing. Bear Love and Shion Buschner offer a variety of healing, such as sound healing, acupuncture and spiritual counselling. So whilst you’re enjoying a peaceful break away? You may wish to arrange some individual session with either Bear or myself, or indeed if there’s a group of you, why not enjoy a sound healing journey for everyone. The barn itself is close to the main house, yet totally separate. There is a large beautiful and airy lounge with an adjacent kitchenette and access to a private patio and beautiful garden area ; a bathroom and spacious bedroom with a super comfortable kingsize bed. in the large lounge there is a wood burning stove to keep you warm and cosy in the evenings, there are games to play and books to read . If you prefer to see the evening in al fresco you can sit outside by the fireplace and watch the sun go down or take your dog into the field or challenge your family to a game of table tennis . We have our own small bit of woodland, adjacent to the property, a haven for the wildlife, if you're lucky you spot a fox or a badger, and there's always kites above. So if you’re in search for serious peace healing and time out, this place is where it’s at. Saying that, the barn had proven a Haven for families; getting away from the screens and constant stimulus of modern life and finding good quality family time, playing table tennis or kicking the football about in your own little private garden. Well behaved dogs are welcome; there's plenty of lovely walks just minutes from here.
there's 2 places near here and our relationship with the neighbours is really lovely
  • A beautifully located and picturesque hideaway for a bit of a digital detox for our family of 4 and our dear doggo. There is a lovely vibe here, little buddhas outside each window, log fire, a brilliant enclosed and well fenced garden for that early morning runaround for your furry family member while you have a cuppa gazing at the green space and planning your next beach trip! Plenty of good storage space and the cafetière was very welcome too- the fairy lights along the front of the barn make it all feel special even as you arrive. Great base for dolphin watching or walks, plenty of space in the sitting room, the ping-pong table was much appreciated and there are some board games and books here already if you have any energy after exploring nearby. We had some lovely evenings by the fire in pyjamas, and we ended our stay with a sound healing session for the whole family. Fascinating and very relaxing experience- do plan to include it if you can! Ours took place in the early evening as the sun was setting, in the tipi and our dog came too and fell fast asleep! We all slept so well after that, we actually felt recharged for our return! Shion and Bear are really lovely, and will make sure you enjoy your stay.

  • What can I say? What an incredible place! No phone signal, no TV but Wi-Fi just in case you wanted it (we didn't). We booked completely last minute as a spur of the moment get away for our first wedding anniversary and honestly couldn't think of anywhere more perfect to spend it. Shion allowed us to last minute and was so welcoming when we arrived. We had a perfect couple of days watching the dogs run on the local beaches and just getting away from everything. We would definitely book again! Thank you Shion and Bear!

This spacious room with twin beds and shared facilities is a great base for exploring west Wales, from Carmarthen, down the Teifi Valley as far as the Ceredigion coast. Watch red kites soaring overhead, try your hand at kayaking or enjoy the walks.
The space is a spare bedroom in my home. It has two fairly new single beds, a wardrobe and a couple of tallboys so plenty of space. The street is a wide cul-de-sac with no problem for parking.
The house is on a hill overlooking the village of Llandysul which sits on the bank of the Teifi River. Red kites soar overhead as you walk down to the main street, where shopping is not extensive but provides the basics. There is also a great Chinese restaurant/takeaway, an Indian takeaway and a very popular Italian café.
  • Lovely home and friendly chat.

The area is very quiet and quiet and still easy to reach by car and by bus. The house is very comfortable, lovingly furnished and impeccably clean. I had a great time and I will definitely be back! Additional note: I do not know how many, among the Italians who will read this review, study the Welsh language like me; just in case, know that you can practice conversation with her, who is very patient and used to helping students! Diolch yn fawr iawn, Dee!

We are set in the sleepy village of Cwrtnewydd. Set at the end of a farm track. Overlooking deep valleys and farmland, bordered by babbling stream. Good for families or romantic couples. Yr Hen Stabl we believe is nearly 200 years old. We can accommodate a family of 5 with a modern bathroom suite comprising of toilet, sink and shower and a kitchenette. Upstairs sleeps 3, with 1 double low loft bed and 1 single low loft bed, downstairs sleeps 2 on a double bed settee.
Very near many local beaches including:- New Quay Cwmtudu Llangrannog Penbryn Tresaith
  • We had a lovely stay here! We had a warm welcome with the fire on and the little cottage was clean and adorable, with everything we need! Looking forward to staying again next time, would definitely recommend, thank you!

  • If you're looking for out of the way, you found it. A converted stable at the end of a farm lane in a very peaceful and quiet part of Wales. It was cozy for sure; the roaring log fire was a delight on a wet and cold day, almost as warm as the greeting from our hosts. We only stayed the one night as we were passing through and it was tight for 5 adults with suitcases, but charming and fun nonetheless. For one, two or three people for a several night stay this would be a perfect retreat.

  • David's cottage and his family's hospitality are what makes Airbnb what it is. The cottage is cosy and beautiful, with the entire family keen to help make your stay as comfortable as they can.

  • We loved staying here, we had a warm welcome when we arrived and nothing was too much trouble. Roger explained that we were allowed to wonder the area and meet the animals, which the boys certainly enjoyed. It was a well equipped and cosy cottage with a lovely wood burner, with plenty of wood supplied. We headed to Llangrannog for a swim and lovely fish and chips, highly recommended! This is such a great place to explore the west coast beaches, being spoilt for choice with so many wonderful places on your doorstep. Thanks again for a fantastic time, Gareth.

  • Great place, friendly hosts. The cottage was cosy and a great fun place to stay.

    Daniel2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay and Kirstene and family were so welcoming. They were very relaxed and chatty with the children and let them help to feed the animals. We also had great advice from Mike’s Dad who suggested Cymtydu which was a brilliant beach with a fab coffee shop. The animals were the stars of the holiday of course, and there were tears when the children had to say goodbye to Luna, Charlie and Daisy and Harvey, Pippa, Willow and Amber. Thanks for a great stay!

    Rbecca2019-08-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place - compact and bijoux. Close enough to the coast but tucked away at the same time. Lots of animals about the place. Kids loved it. David, Kirsten and family most welcoming and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

‘Bwthyn Cwch Y Gwenyn’ or ‘Beehive Cottage’ was built as a Coach House in 1884. With thick stone walls, central heating and a log burner, it’s now a cosy place to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Teifi Valley. The river is renowned for great fishing and kayaking, and the surrounding area is popular with walkers and cyclists. 2 night minimum stay at weekends.
The accommodation includes a large open plan kitchen and living room area on the ground floor. Here you’ll find the kitchen well equipped with everything you need, including gas hob, electric oven, fridge freezer, and washing machine. Plenty of pots and pans, utensils, crockery, cutlery and glasses. The lounge area has a log burner (with logs provided), and a TV with Freeview and radio stations. The cottage has dedicated WI-FI. Patio doors lead onto a decking area, for the sole use of guests. The deck overlooks our garden, so you may see us around. Feel free to explore the gardens. There is wildlife in abundance, but please be aware that there is a small stream and a pond, so children should be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times. Sorry, no pets allowed.
The Cottage is located on a very quiet, unnamed narrow country lane, with hardly any traffic, and is not overlooked by any other properties nearby. No light pollution here - so if you enjoy stargazing, on a clear night the stars are quite spectacular!
  • Spotlessly clean and full of everything you need to make your stay simple and enjoyable. Communication was great and they are super friendly to deal with. Nothing too much trouble. Off road parking and just the sounds of the countryside. Not a street light or the sound of traffic - just peace and tranquillity. Enjoy.

  • We had a lovely 2 days in Measycrugiau and cooked Christmas dinner for my parents in the cottage. It was quiet and peaceful which was just what we needed. The beds are comfortable and shower great. Looking forwards to returning hopefully in the summer when we can use the outside space too. Thank you to Sarah also for some lovely mince pies :)

    Elin2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Beehive Cottage is super clean and really cosy! The property itself was warm and the log burner was wonderful, making our stay feel really homely. The beds were comfortable and the living space felt very roomy, due to it's open plan layout. I would definitely recommend Beehive Cottage for a stay in this beautiful part of Wales.

    Becks2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Would definitely recommend this cottage. Nice and quiet

    Kate2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very relaxing holiday here. The communication was very fast and we were warmly welcomed and provided with everything necessary. We even got Sarah's homemade bread. We particularly enjoyed the silence and the seclusion, so the paths are longer, but we wanted to have it that way. We spent the evenings on the big terrace or in front of the warm oven - very cozy. We also received good tips, which we were also happy to implement. We can only recommend this cottage and its friendly hosts. Thank you very much!

  • We had a wonderfully comfortable stay at the spacious Butlers cottage. Very clean and modern, equipped with everything you could possibly need. We were given a fabulous welcome pack on arrival which was such a lovely touch. The location was amazing and very central for visiting nearby attractions. The hot tub was a luxury that we all enjoyed no matter what the weather, Andy maintained it every day to keep it in tip top condition. Kate was fabulous, very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, she was on hand at the drop of a hat. Would definitely recommend a visit to this beautiful country cottage. Thanks Kate and Andy! Ceri and Adrian.

    Adrian2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Kate is a fantastic host! Very welcoming on arrival! Kate provides fantastic amenities and not to mention the hot tub! We made great use of it during our stay! Defiantly would recommend to friends and family!

  • This is a great spot in the countryside with plenty of beautiful places to visit not too far away. The cottage is beautifully set up with everything you need and is very clean and stylish. The hot tub was wonderful, especially as its elevated and you can see out over the fields of horses with a glass of bubbly in your hand. Wonderful stay with a warm welcome from Kate. Would definitely stay here again!

    Amy2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing home and outstanding hospitality. Our stay couldn’t of been any more perfect, Kate had truly thought of everything and was always on hand for any questions we had. I would highly recommend visiting neighbouring villages such as Newquay and Aberaron (both beautiful) and also really enjoyed the Chinese takeaway from ‘Shamai’.

Lovely quirky 2 bedroom country cottage with private hot tub in log cabin in the country garden. Set in the countryside, but within easy reach of the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coastline. Welshholidays4u has lovely cottages with Private Hot Tubs Please take a look thanks Melissa :)
This is a lovely quirky 2 bedroom detached old cottage that has a private unlimited use Hot Tub. Located in the countryside, but close to the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coastline. Please note before booking: This is an old cottage with a country garden set in the countryside, but only a short drive to the beautiful Cardigan Bay Coast where the famous bottle nose dolphins can often be seen. The cottage does has bumpy walls and is far from perfect and has old features still present, you might also come across the odd spider, cobweb and countryside smells as it is in the countryside, but that doesn't mean it is not clean or unhygienic, its part of the character of the cottage and the area it is in, we also don't have shops within walking distance. We never claim it to be a 5* property, but we can say it is a lovely cosy detached cottage with a private garden and a lovely private unlimited use hot tub for you to enjoy during your stay. If you are looking for a perfect newly modernised property with nothing out of place and garden that has no character then this one might not be for you.
Dolanna is located in a small countryside village, but close to the coast. There are 2 pubs about 1 mile away and the small village shop is about 2 miles away
  • What a lovely, relaxing place to stay. Spotlessly clean, cosy, warm.. The perfect place to chill and wind down. Log burner a welcome addition on a cold, rainy evening and the hot tub in the shed at the back of the garden was amazing. Only an hour from Tenby, and the suggestion by Melissa of the Daffodil Inn for a meal was well worth following up. Would definitely stay again. Thank you Melissa.

Ffosffald Isaf is a beautifully restored traditional farmhouse set in a secluded location with breathtaking views of the Teifi Valley. Ideal for walkers with 180 acres of farmland available to stroll on from your doorstep. The stunning Ceredigion coastline is only 20 minutes away with the Georgian town of Aberaeron and New Quay well worth a visit. Also ideal for cyclist as well know Brechfa forest cycle runs are only 15mins away.
The house has its own large enclosed dog friendly garden with plenty of space to run around. Seclusion and privacy are the key elements here - if you want to get away from the chaos of every day life this will be the place for you.
A peaceful and secluded farm location. Great area for rambling, Red Kite spotting and its a star gazer's heaven.
  • This house is wonderful! Such a peaceful location and amazing views. It is a comfortable home from home.

  • Brilliant base for visiting family in the area. Well equipped and spotlessly cleanSadly we weren't able to make much use of the outside space due to the weather, but the perfect place to be when the weather is not at its best. It would be easy to stay in bed all day and watch the weather drift across the amazing views. Would definitely stay again and thoroughly recommend.

Beautiful bathroom, great modern kitchen and lovely living room with log fire etc. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this for anybody looking for a comforting and cosy stay.

  • The house is perfect for a quiet getaway. In a lovely secluded spot with everything you could possibly need. It was a cold day when I arrived but the heating was on so it was warm and welcoming. I’d recommend it to anyone and will hopefully have the opportunity to go back.

  • This is an absolutely lovely cottage with wonderful views. We would love to stay again. Some practical stuff: - the Wi-Fi is certainly good enough for iPlayer, netflix, etc - the walk-in shower is fantastic - the kitchen has all the amenities you'd want - the garden is secure, all the way around, for dogs - there are lots of beaches nearby and some lovely villages - sparkling clean with lovely touches everywhere I'll mention again the views: interrupted, as far as 5-7 miles - glorious.

The upstairs studio of our newly renovated cow shed boasts a fantastic balcony showcasing breath-taking sea views and a log burner for the colder evenings. We are close to the Ceredigion coast but far enough out that you can enjoy the tranquillity of the countryside. New Quay is a ten minute drive away and Aberaeron about 15 minutes; we are very close to the bus route in Synod Inn. We offer a warm welcome to four people and one very well behaved dog (by prior arrangement).
The property consists of two double beds, one with an en suite and the other has the use of a shower room directly opposite. The living space is open plan; consisting of a small kitchen, a dining table and a lounge area comprising of a reclining sofa, leather armchair and log burner. French doors open up onto a large patio space with beautiful sea views in the distance.
Shops ….there aren’t many to be honest – there are supermarkets in Cardigan and Aberystwyth but these are a good half hour drive away. Nearby there are Costcutters and Spar type shops which can be found in Brynhoffnant, Llanarth, Cross Inn, New Quay or Aberaeron. If you are organised enough though Tesco do deliver here. Beaches…take your pick! From Cwmtydu’s tiny secluded alcove to New Quay’s bustling beach there are plenty of beaches to try all along the coast. Why not try them all and choose your own favourite. Pubs....nearest decent pub is probably New Quay but feel free to have a chat with us and we’ll happily recommend a few as we have been to most of them.
  • When staying at The Cowshed, be prepared to be wowed! We were met by Terri, who made sure we were comfy & settled in. The space is huge & decorated to a high standard & very homely. Wine fridge, hot shower, games and a stunning log burner (wood provided with extra for £5).... definitely a must if staying in New Quay....can't wait to go back....

  • Lovely stylish modern place with beautiful views from the balcony and skylight windows. We had our baby and dog with us and both enjoyed and were well provided for. Very peaceful place but easy drive to Newquay and Aberaeron. Lovely comfy bed and bedding. Really well equipped kitchen with plenty of everything for self catering. Staying over New Years there were thoughtful extra touches like Xmas decorations and a bottle of Prosecco when we arrived.

    Alexandra2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed over Christmas and it was perfect. The Christmas tree and bottle of Prosecco were lovely touches. I would definitely recommend this place 😊

    Elizabeth2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our return to the property with two different friends this time. The bottle of wine on arrival was appreciated and the whole property was spotless - as it was last time. Our previous visit had been in June so not surprised to have more mixed weather in November. The evenings were quite chilly so the log burner was most welcome! We love West Wales and spent time in New Quay, Tresaith and Cardigan. The property is ideally located to explore the coast and we hope to be returning again before too long.
