  • We really enjoyed our stay here and the location was perfect for our needs. We came to the area for hiking around the American River and Folsom Lake. The space is extremely comfortable for 2 adults and 2 dogs. I was most impressed with how spacious the place is but still adequately furnished with everything one would need for a short stay. The bathroom is roomy and clean with lots of fresh towels provided. We appreciated the coffee machine every morning and full sized fridge to keep our food. Marilyn generously provides a basket of cookies/snacks that went perfect with tea time. Having the fridge, microwave and dining area in a separate room is so much better than staying in a cramped up hotel room. It was a 5 star stay in gold country!

  • Marilyn's mini-ranch is JUST what we needed. I quick getaway from the Bay Area hustle. On top of that, it was a cozy place to stay with our 4 year old son and senior dog. We had a lot of fun around the area with great sites to see and great restaurants as well. Best of all, we all had a ton of fun getting to know Mica the Mare and of course Marilyn.

  • Wonderful place to stay. you get your money's worth with this spot. its secluded and quiet while not being too far from the town of Cool. I highly suggest you book this space before someone else does!

  • Exceptional hospitality and caring from the hosts. You'll love the beautiful bay window in the bathroom. It was a really nice place to stay.

GET AWAY FROM THE CITY AND COME TO THE COUNTRY!!! This is a horse ranch in the foothills of El Dorado county, with an amazing loft studio above the barn. This newly built loft is comfortably furnished and has a true country feel!!! It’s very private and a separate structure from the main ranch house. This lovely barn loft is available to rent year round. Be surrounded by nature and enjoy your privacy! Come and enjoy all this area has to offer!
This property is bordered by BLM land on the right (where you may see cows wandering up to the fence), and horses grazing in pastures on the left. From the back deck, you can see the snow caps of the Sierra Nevada mountains and look over an old Gold Rush era cemetery!! Feel free to walk around and visit with the animals on the ranch! Great location for walks as my street dead ends onto the Cronin Ranch trailhead. If you just want a solitude and quiet escape, this is the place! For the more adventurous there are many things to do and see, including white water river rafting, kayaking, hiking, biking, horse back riding, wine tasting and visiting Gold Rush towns are just a few things to do. Must be able to climb stairs to access this barn loft. Best suited for a single person or couple with a comfy queen bed. Also have a single roll away bed available if there is a 3rd person. Children are welcome, but there are stairs, so keep them safe! I do have a baby gate if needed.
This is a quiet rural neighborhood, but it is the country, so you may hear coyotes at night or Canadian Geese coming into the pasture to rest in the morning. Many turkeys and deer are also around but I’m happy to say the LGDs are doing a great job keeping them off the property! This is a rattlesnake area....however I have been here 4 years and have never seen one on this property, probably due to the horses being here. But take care to pay attention when on the trails. The BLM land is fun to explore and see the remnants of homesteaders and evidence of gold mining. Bring your metal detector and perhaps you will get lucky!
  • A true gem with a great host! We'd stay there again in a heartbeat!

    Heidi2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful loft at a beautiful horse ranch! Perfect accommodations for myself and my horse...we were attending a riding clinic nearby - perfect location!

    Liz2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, a perfect countryside getaway for when you most need it.

    Travis2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Was a great place to get away. On a farm like property. Kind of far from main city/ town areas, but it was a peaceful area. Inside the bar was nice, clean, and cozy.

    Ali2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • The greatest place we have ever stayed. If you need a getaway from the city, and/or you love animals, this is the place for you. Pam is a wonderful human, her hospitality alone will bring you back for more.

    Michael2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • The Barn Loft is adorable! Beautiful furnishings and views. Spotlessly clean and it has everything you could need away from home. If you like being surrounded by animals this is a great place to relax and enjoy the countryside. We wish we could have stayed longer!

    Debra2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Pam has a wonderful retreat very private very beautiful and everything you could ask for. I will definitely be staying here again and will be recommending it to friends.

    Anthony2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Pam is a fantastic host, and her barn loft is amazing. Pam was responsive and helpful with recommendations I asked for, and there were so many thoughtful touches in the apartment, including a basket of fresh eggs from the farm. The loft is beautifully decorated and set up to feel like home. I will definitely be back!

  • Nathan’s place was perfect for what we needed. He and Shelly were quick to communicate with us, gave clear check-in instructions, had thoughtful touches in the room and gave us plenty of privacy once we arrived. You can’t beat this clean & cozy little gem for the price! Would recommend to others.

    Maureen2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location for Auburn, cool, and American River outdoors activities! Everything was super-easy, and the thoughtful touches were most appreciated!

    Alan2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy and well-appointed room! Nate and Shell left thoughtful touches and it’s very comfortable. Met Nate on my way out (I arrived late) and he is a stand-up guy. Both of them were quick to respond to my messages. Excellent location, too!

    Bernadette2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great location. Great space. Much thought and care has been put into making the room warm and welcoming. Sparkling clean, well-appointed, private room. Hosts are friendly, professional, and respond very quickly to inquiries. Very highly recommended.

  • Nathan's place in Auburn is in an awesome location, right in town, and feels just like home. He gives amazing local suggestions and the place is super clean and welcoming. We did a ton of trail running, eating and drinking. The convenience was top-notch and easy check-in, check-out. Thanks for a lovely trip.

    Ryan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I believe this is my third stay. Yes, it was charming.

    Ken2020-02-03T00:00:00Z

Beautiful 5 acre Newcastle property located below the snow and above the fog in the foothills 2 miles from Folsom Lake and 2 miles from the freeway I-80. Wine tasting, cycling, riding and hiking are some of our favorite pastimes. Horses and dogs are welcome! Property is fully fenced but there are horses in open paddocks. There's a 6 stall barn available for overnite stays. Pets are welcomed for an additional fee.
This is a 26ft travel trailer. Fully contained and sleeps 4 comfortably.
Just a short hike to Folsom Lake or the foothill winery trail, starting at Mt. Vernon Winery.
  • What an amazing value!!! The travel trailer sits on an absolutely stunning horse farm! I was truly missing my own horses, so it was wonderful to wake up in the morning, look out the window, and see many beautiful horses looking back at me! Carlene was a gracious and caring host who consistently reached out to me over our stay to ensure things were going ok and I didn't have questions or need anything. She was nice enough to share information on some of the horses living on the farm as well. I enjoyed hearing about them since I'm also a horsewoman. The 26 foot trailer was sparkling clean and my family of 4 fit just fine without stumbling over each other. It was quite comfortable despite it's small size. Everything worked perfect and we made multiple full course meals in the full kitchen area. Be aware, there is no TV though, so bring your own or Ipads to keep those kids busy when it's rainy outside. There is also internet available. My kids enjoyed the "bunk room" that had 2 decent sized bunk beds that were perfect for little ones! We would gladly go back for another farm stay!! Thank you for everything Carlene!!

Our guesthouse is across the driveway from the main house on 1.5 acres on a quiet country road, yet only 2 miles from Old Town Auburn, 3 miles from the Auburn State Recreation Area, and 1.5 hours from Lake Tahoe. The guesthouse is approximately 375 sq ft, has its own entrance with convenient parking, a well-appointed kitchenette, a bedroom with a full size bed adjoining a private deck, and a huge bathroom with a closet. It’s perfect for a couple or single, and suitable for longer term stays.
Updated 4/5/20: We are currently complying with Placer County's guidelines regarding short term rentals. Specifically, our unit is in compliance as long as we meet the following criteria: --To provide COVID-19 mitigation and containment measures (for example, isolation and quarantine or the housing of displaced persons or the homeless); --To provide housing for essential critical infrastructure workers; and --For use by the property owner and his/her immediate family members. Thus, our schedule reflects openings for these purposes, and we will remain open as long as we are well and able to provide an exceptionally clean and safe place for you to stay. We have also instituted, temporarily, a 2 night minimum. Our unit is private and separate from our house, and I am solely responsible for cleaning and maintaining it. I am committed to your safety and comfort no less than I would be for myself and my own family. Please don’t hesitate to contact me regarding your questions or concerns. All for one and one for all. --Gina The Roost is a cozy private space with a cabiny feel. The entryway serves as both foyer and kitchenette, where you’ll find small versions of everything you need to cook and eat in: microwave, fridge with freezer, toaster/oven, hot plate, coffee maker. The well-stocked pantry has food staples, dishes and cooking essentials. We provide a selection of teas and freshly ground coffee; and whenever possible, fresh fruit and homemade granola with almond milk. On one side of the entry is the bedroom; on the other is the bathroom and closet. The bedroom has a pine ceiling and floor, and opens out to a private deck complete with party lights and seating to watch the sunset. The full size bed has a handmade cherry frame and a ComfortTech Serene Foam mattress. There’s WIFI, a DVD player, and the television is Roku enabled featuring three paid streaming services: Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix. There’s also a desk-size table and chairs for eating and/or working. The bathroom is large, with two sinks, a vanity, a walk-in tiled shower, and separate toilet area. We provide nice soft towels as well as shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, etc. At the far end of the bathroom there’s a closet with a chest of drawers and extra blankets/pillows, a small iron and ironing board, a fan, and extra heater. You’ll find a couple games as well, for the occasional rainy day. We love that both the bedroom and the bathroom get lots of natural light—there is a skylight in each. And throughout the space, you’ll find original art pieces and photography by people we know and love. The property is always “coming along” but there’s something special about it even when it’s rough. We just like being here and we hope our guests do too. Our host philosophy is to treat everyone that comes to the Roost like a friend. We strive to provide a super-clean comfortable private space with lots of extras. We do not charge extra for cleaning and offer a discount if you stay more than one night. We take great pride in making you feel at home. The endeavor is dedicated to my mom, who would have said with the warmest smile and a brogue, “céad míle fáilte.”
Auburn is a really fun place to be. We have wineries, breweries, museums, art, shops, and it’s an outdoors-person’s paradise. The Auburn State Recreation Area has it all: trails for hiking, running, backpacking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and OHV; the American River for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle-boarding, floating, rafting, fishing, and gold panning. There’s even some serious rock climbing to do here. We are super-close to Old Town Auburn and Downtown Auburn, as well as Newcastle. Ask us for restaurant recommendations but we always love Newcastle Pizzeria in Newcastle, and recommend Monkey Cat in downtown Auburn for fine dining. There's free parking at various locations that will get you into the Auburn State Recreation Area for running or hiking: Murphy's Gate, along the road near China Gate, and at American River Overlook Park. Parking is $10 at or near the confluence but that gets you really close to the river if you just want to hang out and cool off. We have maps in the guesthouse--ask us about any features of the park you're interested in visiting. If you're into cooler or cold (depending on the time of year), head up I80 toward Truckee. We are only 1 hour from skiing at Boreal, and 1.5 hours to numerous runs in the North Lake Tahoe area. Or take a hike along part of the Pacific Crest Trail with spectacular views of Donner Lake--that's less than an hour drive.
  • THIS was just what I needed. Making a cross country trip by car to pick up my son from college in San Francisco. It has been stressful time for all of us and Gina's place was so special, in nature, cool and fresh, spacious and so comfortable. The chorus frogs sang to me all night long! The hummingbirds in the morning were heavenly! Gina is an excellent accommodating host and I really really appreciate this very special place. If I need to go this way again I will DEFINITELY stay here! THANK YOU!!

Enjoy all the foothills have to offer within minutes of this charming 320 sq.ft. 'Master Studio' located on an acre hilltop property with Auburn views. A full kitchenette, comfy queen bed, cotton linens, and a unique bathroom highlight the space. Whether fraternizing with the pygmy goats, soaking in the salt-water pool (May-Oct.), or enjoying in-or-out-door activities, this clean, tranquil, setting is the space for you. *UPDATE: Due to Recent Events, The Studio is Sanitized Between Each Guest!
This is a 320 square foot, attached, walk-in basement, Master Studio apartment that has been freshly renovated and sits on a private acre at the top of a hill. Besides great Auburn views, enjoy cotton linens, organic extras such as tea, coffee and snacks, as well as a full kitchen with all necessities. The bathroom (nicknamed, "The Cave") has a macerating, grinding pump located behind the toilet (affectionately nicknamed 'The Beast'). Note that when full, or when flushed, the pump will run for ~10 seconds (the pump is louder than a standard toilet, so don't be startled). 😉 There is a separate, well lit parking space off the circular driveway on the far side of the house, with a paved walkway to your private entrance (look for the Goat Crossing sign). Note that the 240v EV charge cord is located on the opposite side of the house, in front of the garage (if needed, just let me know). *Studio is always carefully cleaned, but now more care is given to disinfect the doorknobs, cabinets and all surfaces to ensure a safe space for all to visit.
This quiet, safe neighborhood (cul-de-sac street) has beautiful views of Auburn and the Tahoe mountains. You are close to interstate 80 and highway 49. You can walk to a popular brewery, restaurants and much more. Beautiful Auburn trails (hiking, biking), the American river and lake Clementine (fishing, paddling) are only minutes away. The house is located at the top of a hill, in a quite neighborhood, so please drive slowly and be considerate of neighbors. :-)
  • DEFINITELY my new go to place to stay when I’m in town on business! So clean & comfortable, perfect location for the surrounding cities! The bed was amazing, great nights sleep! And of course, the icing on the cake...Brownie & Morgana!

    Heather2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This place is in perfect condition, it has all over beautiful and interesting touches. The pymgoats outside make you smile every time you go out, and the view is gorgeous. James was a very attentive host, and respectful. When it was raining he left us an umbrella outside, a beautiful gesture. I highly recommend this place.

  • James place was great

    Debanshu2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely studio, very clean and lots of special nice touches. Loved the cute pigmy goats.

    Peter2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great. It's easy to run into town, super clean and nice inside, there's a beautiful spot outside, and goats!

    Lucas2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • James was incredibly accommodating and easy to talk to. Really appreciated the helpful little nuances of the place.

    Gary2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • James provided such a warm greeting and orientation to the studio. I loved having the goats so close and being able to visit and let them. They were so friendly. He was nice to keep the heat on because the space can be cold, but there are also space heaters which help. The bathroom pump is loud as he describes but it doesn’t last long and isn’t a big deal. I didn’t flush in the late evening just to avoid the sound at unnecessary times and also to save water. It was so nice to have snacks in the room and little touches like spices, bottled water, etc. He really cares about the hospitality and goes above and beyond. The shower runs out of hot water pretty quickly. I forgot to inform him in case he didn’t know. All in all, it was very nice and I’d like to stay there again when visiting family in the area.

    Nadine2020-02-04T00:00:00Z

This 170 sq ft hideaway is nestled among old oak trees behind our main residence. Light, bright and cheerfully appointed, the cottage offers a comfy, clean, newly renovated bedroom & adjoining bathroom.
Cozy studio with adjacent bathroom connected by the original barn door. Lovingly referred to as the "Playhouse", it was built by Jon's grandfather as a Christmas gift for his children in Christmas 1959. Fully renovated in 2017, the Queen bed has quality linens. Bathroom has showers both inside and outside (outdoor shower is semi-private, so popular in the Summer months.) While there is no kitchen, the cottage provides everything serious coffee drinkers need in the morning: a mini-fridge, electric Hario kettle, Chemex pour-over coffee pot, Peets coffee/Tazo teas, cream & sugar.
Built in the 1950's, the property was constructed before I-80 & Hwy 49 became such busy thoroughfares and feels incredibly private for such a central location.
  • Great place, location and price. Would gladly stay here again!

    Cody2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

    Angel2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place to stay! Close to downtown and everything Auburn has to offer. Darling decor and kid friendly. I loved all of the little details (books, coloring supplies, lollipops, bed side lights, heater, natural toiletries, mirrors, magazines, coffee and cream in a cute little fridge box, etc). Bright and cheery. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Located a few hundred feet from the Iris gardens at Horton farm, a six acre garden space with over 1400 Iris varieties. Bloom season is April and May. The cottage was built in 1945 on my family's heritage farm. She's located next to the old barn alongside a small Creek. Inside you'll find a fresh colorful landscape of hand made cabinets, concrete countertops and furniture. The heated and Polished concrete floor is ready for farm life. You'll be delighted in the vintage items and local artwork.
A quiet colorful retreat located at the base of the Sierra mountains nestled down a small country road. Only one mile from the Penryn exit off Hwy 80. The cottage has had a long history. Originally built for farm workers in 1945. The years were hard on the old shack, the creek flooded her a few times, a big oak fell on her and broke her back, and the occasional deer used her as a sanctuary during the stormy season if the door got left open. Each event left it's mark and every time she was built stronger. The latest chapter involved a partnership between Kermit McCourt and Doug Horton. They applied their artistic building skills to remake the shack into a cottage. In the end Kermit and his family lived in the cottage for many happy years. We hope your story can be added to her history. Small modern indoor full bathroom with shower plus an outdoor shower because California weather is awesome. A few games and toys are hidden away under the window seat. Maid service-We do not provide turn down service or maid service during your visit but will make adjustments upon request.
What can I say, my family has lived on this land for six generations. We moved back to raise our daughter after working in Alaska and then travelling for seven years by sailboat. Loomis still has that small town feeling it had when I was a kid. Folsum lake and the American river canyon are just twenty minutes away Local wineries and beer pubs within a few miles. Want to ski - Boreal is 50 minutes away.
  • I loved the cottage. It was clean and cozy and had a great view.

  • This is the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at! Doug is a super friendly host, you have plenty of privacy and the location is amazing. The cabin is one of a kind very unique and stylish. This is a rare gem on Airbnb, book now!

  • As a city-dweller, this is a magical and comforting place to be just 1.5 hrs from SF. My husband, my dog, and I all enjoyed everything about this cottage. It was historic and quiet yet modern and sparkling clean. We only wished we would’ve stayed longer. We’ll definitely be back.

    Lily2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Doug's cottage is such a great hidden gem in the country. It was super clean and very eclectic. Doug is a very responsive to any inquiries. We are already planning our next stay.

  • The Cottage is quite an unepected gem. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the cottage and how thoughfully stocked the kitchen was. Our daughters were extremely excited about the swing in the tree and thankful to the host for allowing the kids to visit and feed the goats. We hope to stay again real soon.

  • Second time at Doug's place and we continue to love it. It's a magical cottage that is also comfy and functional. The kids and pups love exploring. Doug is a cool easy-going guy who makes the stay even better. And there are goats on the farm, so there's that.

  • David &Christina’s place was beyond amazing. From booking the place to check out they were welcoming, helpful and compassionate. We were celebrating my sister’s 50th birthday and there were flowers, chocolates and a birthday card waiting for her! Face masks were there for all of us which was a great touch to the girls’ weekend. The goats made us laugh and brought so much additional joy! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a break from the daily grind!!!!

    Aubrey2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Christina and David’s home is lovely! Comfortable space, convenient to the Auburn area, and cute farm animals.

    Marie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • My older son and I stay at David and Christina’s place a lot, and feel so lucky every time we do! They are terrific hosts and their place is really clean, convenient, and comfy.

  • See prior review above ... so good I extended my stay .

    Kamryn2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • I believe we cross people and places for a reason, I don't believe in coincidences, and when I knew it was time for a much needed break and I saw Christina and Daves place I knew I had found my little slice of heaven. I am so grateful for people like them who are willing to share this life to those of us who won't ever get to experience it otherwise. From the first email communication I felt at ease and welcome. These two are gems and I didn't even get to meet them in person. I pay attention to detail, I pay attention to the extras, but I pay even more attention to the communication and the vibe I get from the hosts. That tells me a lot from the beginning, as they say first impressions are everything and when I saw their picture which exuded kindness and after our initial communication I knew I was right . I knew there was something special about them and this place. They were always timely with communication, they give you total privacy, but check in to be sure you don't need anything and make sure you know you can reach out to them . From the moment you get on any one of the back roads to get to your beautiful guesthouse depending on where you are coming from, its gorgeous. From views of Folsom Lake, to gorgeous 100 year old oak trees and the forest canopies, you feel like you take a step back in time, at the very least a deep sigh of relief as the hustle and bustle of city life quickly disappears. As you drive up you immediately see the precious goats anxiously waiting for their handouts and you can help but smile. Then your eyes fix on this adorable blue house with a wrap around porch and a charm that makes you feel just GOOD. You have your own space to pull into, and you immediately feel at ease and I couldn't wait to settle in. The guesthouse has its own expansive yard with gorgeous views and of course the company of goats, bunnies and an occasional turkey. Upon entry you will find a spacious and wonderful equipped place with all the essentials and then some to make your stay feel like home. A wonderful selection of books and games, a cozy fireplace to snuggle up too and even a bathroom stocked with special touches. Wifi that works wonderfully, but truthfully you won't even want to be on it when you can step out to a yard with a view and a sky at night blazing with stars, an occasional hoot owl talking to you and coyotes and bullfrogs to sing you to sleep . Speaking of sleep, the bed is so comfy, I slept so peacefully, and that is not something that is a regularity for me very often. Depending on your mood you can be nestled right in a hammock in the country , rafting on a river, dancing in the city or polishing your California gold rush history up, everything is within a short drive, just another bonus this gem provides. You have can do as little or as much as you want. It's just a perfect location! This is truly a hidden gem and the worst part of it all .... is having to leave. They have thought of everything and do everything they can to make your stay wonderful. I can't wait to return . You won't be disappointed.

    Kamryn2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • David and Christina’s place was amazing. Everything you could hope for a relaxing weekend. Thank again and look forward to visiting again.

    Scott2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • I absolutely love the goats, the stylish space, beautiful country setting...Dave and Christina gave us privacy and provided local tips! They are not far from Sacramento and about one hour and a half from Lake Tahoe. They provide many thoughtful touches in the unit. Basic amenities to cook with and coffee & tea, soaps. Many towels and good linens. The highlight was our ability to interact with the friendly and playful goats! It's just a lovely country setting. I recommend and will be back!

  • Great stay, walking distance to downtown. I stayed a little over a month and it was a great place to be comfortable. Elijah is very prompt in his responses and is very respectable. It is much like a duplex, so there will most likely be other people in the house. Would recommend staying here and would definitely come back.

Come relax and discover Loomis, CA with a farm stay at The Magnolia Orchard Cottage at Solstice farms. Enjoy an evening out on the massive deck BBQ'ing or around the fire pit. Take a walk in the organic citrus orchard and even meet a duck or two.
Magnolia Orchard is a working organic citrus orchard.
Be sure to check out High Hand Nursery & Cafe. Or pop on over to the flower farm just down the road. During summer months spend the day out on Folsom lake. Loomis is also an incredibly popular place for cyclists.
  • This is a great place. It’s really cute and all updated and in the middle of citrus orchards. The hosts are great at quick correspondence and go above and beyond for a great Airbnb experience. The location is a little out of the way, but the hospitality, cleanliness, and extra touches are worth the extra time to get there. They have EVERYTHING you need for your stay, ( even food bowls for your pet!) we would definitely stay here again.

    Vevila2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed a relaxing few days at this cottage over the New Year. Spent our days out hiking near Folsom Lake and traveling up the mountains a bit to play in the snow, and had mellow evenings back at the cottage. The doggy door is great and our puppy spent lots of time outside - mainly investigating all the new sights and sounds of the orchard that she doesn't experience in the Bay Area! There are some great dog parks nearby too which is perfect if your dog has lots of energy like ours does - we really liked the one at Johnson Springview Park!

    Alison2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Nice remodel. Great fenced yard for dogs. Fresh eggs and blood oranges were a wonderful treat.

    Sherry2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place for a nice quiet getaway. It was very clean and cute. We enjoyed walking around and sitting outside by the fire. It was a very comfortable place with comfortable beds and temperature. The host is so nice and quickly responded to questions when I was looking to book. He even offered late check out to enjoy our Christmas morning!

    Dalia2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • Archer’s place is close to town, and local wineries, but set in a rural quiet area on his orchard. The home was sparkling clean, well appointed, and comfortable. I especially appreciated the safe enclosed area in the back for my dog to relax off leash in. I recommend staying at Archer’s if you are lucky to be in the area.

If you need a room that is better than a hotel, this is for you. Resting in the beautiful rolling hills of the Sierra Pacific mountains. Close to Roseville, Auburn , Rocklin & I-80 access.

  • This was our first time using Airbnb and what a wonderful experience. The “apartment” was extremely clean and had everything we could possibly need. The location is great a super easy to find (especially with a little pointer from Breckken). Check in was so easy. She even provided us with a list of local venues. Very quiet. A peaceful get away. Thank you so much. We will definitely return. The husband and I had one question..... what is the large “thing” with the word Panche written on the side. We were making bets.

We live on an acreage on the outskirts of Auburn, California, a small town in the Sierra Nevada foothills. We have fruit trees, grape vines, a big garden and chickens. We're located on the winding, tree-lined 'Wine Trail', with dozens of wineries close by. Auburn is known for its outdoor recreation and is situated on the American River -close to lakes, forests and mountains. It's also the home of Endurance Races... for runners and equestrians.
The space we offer is a large sunny room overlooking the small orchard from the deck and with access to the back yard as well. The room has a folding table and stools, small refrigerator, microwave and plates, bowls, cutlery, wine glasses, coffee cups and coffee maker. We also provide a selection of teas and instant cocoa. Feel free to enjoy the acreage, orchard, flowers and vegetable garden. We provide wi-fi, as well as local and internet tv, with Showtime, HBO, Hulu, PBS, etc.
Auburn began as a gold mining town and has wonderful museums and a lively 'old town'. There are tons of restaurants and two movie theaters... and of course, wineries. There are local rafting and kayak rentals, bicycle routes, hiking, festivals, historic walking tours...
  • Wonderful space in a beautiful setting.

Offered to have the sofa bed ready for us and the heater was on so we arrived to a cozy space to rest. They had morning snacks and coffee, as well as mini fridge and microwave but we did not use. Communication was great. We would definitely come back.

  • This is a gem of a home - communication was fantastic, the place was clean and well put together. The layout lends itself to having plenty of room. I owing highly recommend this home as a place to stay and highly recommend Emily and Tyler as hosts.

  • Very cute cottage located close to great breweries and hiking locations. Great value for a cozy stay. Would recommend :)

  • Stayed here for a week and commuted to work in Rocklin. Great value compared to local hotels with privacy, quiet, and a full kitchen. Thank you to the hosts for bailing me out when I accidentally locked myself out one morning! I would definitely stay here again.

  • I spent 2 nights and found the studio very comfortable, roomy and well appointed. It is exactly as it appears in the photos posted with a comfy sitting area between the bed and kitchen. I slept well due to the quiet locale and the comfortable bed. The hosts were attentive and helpful.

  • Had a wonderful stay over Christmas week. This place is very clean, the bed is comfortable, it's well stocked, and a lot of interesting items in the decor. And as others have mentioned, the bathroom floor is pretty cool. Would definitely recommend.

    Carl2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • The place is beautiful and cozy. Full kitchen if you want to cook or close to restaurants. Peaceful neighborhood. Love it.

    Vicky2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • We ended up having to cancel our stay due to a snowstorm that derailed our travel plans, but Tyler was very friendly and accommodating about first adjusting the planned dates of our stay and then helping us cancel. Communication was quick, changes were processed immediately, and Tyler was professional and understanding. Looking forward to rebooking next time we visit the area (hopefully not in the middle of a bomb cyclone!)

The Hideaway Auburn is a unique oasis on the edge of the American River Valley. Set on 13 acres in the Sierra Nevada Foothills, it will feel like you are deep in the woods, while having access to creature comforts within walking distance. This home was built in the 1930's & holds onto that charm, while offering the luxuries of modern day. Whether you are planning an adventure in the surrounding natural mountains and rivers or looking for rest & relaxation, let this be your home base.
The Hideaway offers views of the tractless wilderness that stretch from the foothills to the wilds of the Sierra Nevadas. Our peaceful mountaintop home is surrounded by lush landscapes nestled between native oaks, cedars and redwoods. A limited kitchenette inside the hideaway is furnished with a microwave, toaster oven (that can bake, roast, and dehydrate), mini-fridge, icemaker and coffeemaker. As the house is built in the 1930’s noise from the upstairs does travel and we’ve kept some fixtures original to keep its charm. Relax and recharge at the infinity pool with views of the American River Valley, the sunrise from the pool deck is worth the early wake up!
We are just above the confluence of the North and Middle Forks of the American River and at the doorstep of the Auburn State Recreation Area. Auburn is known as the "Endurance Capitol of the World" with events supporting this title year round. To the East are Tahoe and El Dorado National Forests and to the West are the cities of Sacramento and the Bay beyond. A large Raley's grocery store with a Peet's coffee shop and multiple restaurants are within walking distance. The Fairgrounds, Downtown and Old Town Auburn are less than a ten minute drive down the hill. Grass Valley and Nevada City are just down the historic Highway 49. The Hideaway is on the Eastern edge of the Placer Wine Trail, in the middle of the Mandarin Trail in Placer County, rafting country, and about an hour away from where the gold rush began. From our property you can be hiking, mountain biking, road biking, river rafting, kayaking, skiing and snowboarding, bird watching, fishing, 4-wheeling, and exploring within the hour. The adventure is endless.
  • This house is beautiful and the views are spectacular

    Gayle2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay in both the big house and smaller studio was amazing! This property is stunning. All of the bedrooms have a bathroom off of them, making it easy to share with multiple people. The kitchen was very well stocked and the refrigerator was huge. We did rent out the lower studio, and I would suggest to rent them out together. The footstep noise when you’re down below is extremely loud. If we had been only renting that portion I would’ve been disappointed. I do think Chris & Jen should consider making the listings one rather than two. Otherwise, check in was really easy. The place is gorgeous and my family is now talking about going back for family events!

    Mandy2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Simply, we had a wonderful stay. The space has a great feel, is clean and is full of nice touches and ambience. The view is stunning and general location feels private, is quiet, but affords easily access to town.

    Alex2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Tucked away from life this home offers amenities and views that will blow you away! The hosts are more than responsive and accommodating . The area offers plenty to do all within a short drive. Stop into Ikedas and grab a pie!

    Brad2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • We rented The Hideway in addition to The Homestead to have enough space for our group, and the setup worked perfectly. There is a door connecting the two inside the house, so when you have both it is like an extension to the Homestead, but when booking just The Hideaway you are separate. This would be perfect for a couple or 2, there is a kitchenette that would be sufficient for small meals, and the pull out bed seemed quite comfortable.

    Adam2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • I always enjoy my stay. Amazing view and cozy stay. Super.

  • This is a great and beautiful place. It is conveniently located and very clean. It made for a great little getaway. Just note, that if you are a light sleeper this is a downstairs unit and the footsteps from above could get a bit loud.

This updated 1943 garage apartment is set in a quiet residential neighborhood steps away from the American River Canyon trails, including the Western States 100 trail, and quaint downtown Auburn. This dollhouse apartment was recently remodeled, but still retains much of its vintage charm.
An exterior iron spiral staircase leads you to the front door of this modest cozy second story small three room apartment. From the stoop and many of the windows you can see peekaboo local canyon views. The kitchen is vintage 1940s. It has three windows, a table with two chairs, a range, microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker. The kitchen is well stocked, and includes complimentary coffee, tea and a small assortment of spices. The bedroom, also the main room, has three windows, one on each side of the room. It is furnished with a queen sized bed as well as Pottery Barn nightstands and bench. The bathroom is very small, but serviceable. All linens are 100% cotton. The bedroom and kitchen have solid bamboo floors, and the bathroom has tile floors and shower. There is no TV in the apartment. Guests are welcome to use the outdoor barbecue and garden spaces.
The apartment is located in a quiet residential neighborhood walking distance from American River Canyon trails as well as downtown Auburn restaurants, theaters, shopping, etc. Being so close to the canyon, there is occasionally wildlife that ambles our way as well ultra runners, hikers, and cyclists. You may also hear the nostalgic sound of the train whistle during your stay.
  • The place is very efficient. Has what you need to make it work. Very clean.

  • We really enjoyed our time at Mary’s place. It’s a perfect size little garage apartment that will meet all your needs. The kitchen is great and well stocked with pots and pans so you shouldn’t need to bring anything plus Mary offers to share hers if there’s anything extra you might need. It overlooks the back stone patio which is lovely in itself. We saw many birds flying about and even some humming birds! The close location to Auburn was ideal. Two words for Mary’s Place......simply delightful! Brian & Teresa

    Brian2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mary's place was great for our get away weekend. It was easy enough to walk to downtown and there was everything needed to cook at home. Mary was very fast to reply and all our communication went smoothly. We'd go back!

    Jeanne2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is a lovely human being offering a sweet retreat. If you’re into the great outdoors and like to hike, bike, walk, run etc.., just get yourself down the spiral staircase & Wa-lah, you’ll be in outdoor heaven!! Also, if you enjoy being barefoot & doing yoga, meditation or what have you, you will appreciate the bamboo flooring:) Thanks Mary for creating such a wonderful space for us to enjoy!

Sweet studio close to downtown and old town Auburn. It has Tahoe style decor and is only 1 hour from Lake Tahoe. We are in a quiet neighborhood off Auburn Ravine Road close to everything. We are 7 minutes from downtown and in between highway 49 and highway 80. There is so much to do around here, we are a few minutes from breweries and wineries. We have hiking in the canyon, around Lakes, by the River and parks. We have a list of many great restaurants near by and a great music community.
This is the mountain room studio named for the decor and it has a private entrance, sweet log mountain bed, plenty of space to move around. It has a private patio too. We are close to both old town and downtown Auburn. There is an electric heater that looks like a fireplace. A small table and chairs to enjoy “take out” at one of our many local restaurants. We provide coffee and a bowl of fruit for your morning breakfast. There is a small fridge and microwave in the room. There is a hot tub on the back deck that is shared.
Its a 7 minute drive to downtown and historic Old Town Auburn. There are about 4 breweries within a short drive from the house. Crooked Lane is the closest, 4 minutes. There are a bunch of great restaurants within a 5-10 minute drive. My house is on a coeur du sac. There are hiking trails all around us. Its only an hour from nearest ski resort. And 1 hour, 15 minutes from Tahoe City. Grass Valley and Nevada City is only 30 minutes off hwy 49. Sacramento is also only 30 minutes away.

The Inkling is a separate apartment attached to a Victorian home built in 1890. It is in a quiet neighborhood near beautiful scenic canyons. Close to Old Town Auburn, you may enjoy restaurants, antique shops, family-friendly activities, the American river, and many, many trails. It is less than .5 miles from downtown as well. There is an enclosed grassy area for our human and canine guests. We live in the main house with our two small dogs, Alice and Charlie.
The Inkling offers a relaxing place to read, sleep, or enjoy the sunset with a glass of wine. If you're active, it is close to bike and running trails. Shops, restaurants and trailheads are nearby,

  • Carols place was perfect! She is super responsive, her place has such a wonderful personal touch and the location is very peaceful. And it is super clean and sparkly! We would definitely stay again!

    Stacy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • My wife, infant son, and golden doodle all stayed at Carol's little place in Auburn for a night to get away from the valley. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The place is set back off the street and feels very quiet and secluded, except for the occasional train that passes close by (we only heard it once during our stay). The chocolate chip cookies were delicious as well as some of the local food spots that we tried. SO to Awful Annie's for accommodating all of us for breakfast and to Smokey Pit for the excellent BBQ to go. Carol's place included a french press for much needed coffee after an early morning of fly fishing the nearby American River as well as dog treats which made our pup feel right at home. I would be remiss to not also mention the garden, which was beautifully landscaped and blooming with flowers. In the evening, my wife and I enjoyed sitting outside and playing board games provided by Carol. Overall, I highly recommend this Air BnB to anyone looking to visit or pass through Auburn.

  • The location was great for getting around town to explore. The inkling was full of many great touches that made it feel like home. • Tracy’s place was sparkling clean! The suite was well equipped and considerably more spacious than I was anticipating. I would not hesitate to book it again!

  • If you want to be somewhere cozy and relaxed, this is the place for you. The place is super clean and the host provides all of the things you need in case you forget something from home when traveling (utensils, snacks, toothpaste, towels etc). The view is super amazing and beautiful. The trip was worth it.

  • This place has it all. From a spacious and elegant bedroom, a spacious full bathroom, a living room with bookshelf and tv, to stepping outside onto a covered deck with seating available to admire the hummingbirds and scenery, an inviting space is what this place has. Definitely check out their pictures and description cause there's too many nice things to list. In all a wonderful getaway with a relaxing, peaceful location. Thoughtful amenities by the hosts added to the experience. Was pleasantly surprised by the gifts left for us when my girlfriend and I arrived for Valentine's day weekend. The hosts are awesome friendly people to chat with and their 2 dogs are friendly as well. Will definitely be coming back to this spot again. Highly, highly recommend it.

  • A wonderful getaway in the Auburn hills, Aggie's retreat is a real gem. The place is sparkling clean, with a spacious front deck, gorgeous bath, comfortable downs, relaxing lighting and furnishings, and boardgames - everything you could want to disconnect from the humdrum of daily life. The guest suite does not have a kitchen and downtown Cool lies at the end of a windy road, but snacks and microwavable takeout worked well for us. Tracy and LaVonna left some delightful personal touches, and gave fantastic local tips. Would highly recommend.

    Tanmoy2019-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Tracy’s place is PERFECT! Amenities GALORE!! She had special treats, champagne, snacks, keurig, creamer, face masks, bath bombs, and more. We loved the large space, large bath tub, spacious bathroom, gorgeous view, and amazing hospitality. We would definitely recommend this place!

  • Summer had a gorgeous property and lovely guest space. We had fun playing ping pong and enjoying an evening fire. The next morning we saw a family of deer and other wildlife around. Also, the sleeping space was separate and comfortable with great pillows! The best thing was access to a private small lake nearby that was beautiful and good for the soul! If we ever come back in the summer, definitely would bring a fishing pole. Thanks for a pleasant stay, Summer. :)

  • I stayed at Summer's with my fiance for a birthday weekend. The space is open and airy with a great style. It is separate from the main house and very quiet, which is just what I needed! The wood burning stove makes the space cozy and warm. The bed is super comfortable - luxury hotel quality! The house is about 20 minutes from Main Street Placerville, which was close enough to go back and forth and far enough away to feel tucked into nature. I highly recommend staying here!

    Rachel2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Well thought out and immaculate. The fireplace was our favorite! Would definitely recommend staying here!!!!!! Summer was very helpfully.

    Craig2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Summer’s place was the perfect spot to crash and hang out and be cozy after a day trip up to Apple Hill. My boyfriend and I had such a nice time watching movies by the fire, and then curling up in the most comfortable bed. Their guesthouse was even more spacious than the pictures led on, and much more cozy than I could’ve imagined. She and her husband were very nice and accommodating, and I would absolutely stay with them again! I wished we had spent more than just one night here!

    Amanda2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • Summer's place was bigger and nicer than the pictures portray. The property is beautiful and we wish we got to enjoy it more. We would definitely stay here again!

    Rebecca2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • More spacious than expected. AC unit worked fast when we needed it. Sat outside and saw some wildlife. We were only there one night but it was cozy enough to make us wish we had stayed another. Good access to Apple Hill and rafting.

Our cozy Carriage House is a second floor guest suite above a detached garage that is separate from our main house. It is a quaint space that comfortably holds 4 and is beautifully situated in Loomis, CA. We are within walking distance of The Flower Farm Inn, a local hotspot for food, wine, & events. We are also minutes from Folsom Lake & a 30 minute drive from Sacramento and historic gold country. Come stay with us and be sure to say Hi to our family of Goats that live on the property!
The Carriage House contains 1 bedroom, 1 full bath, a kitchenette and living/dining room combination. Please note, that while residential, this is a country property and therefore there are country noises and critters about. There is a queen-size bed (with memory foam topper) in the bedroom, a full size pull-out sleeper sofa in the living room for the kids or additional guests, a kitchennette (no stove) equipped with a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, electric stoce top, Brita water pitcher, and coffee maker. There is a flat screen TV set-up with a Roku so guests can access their favorite streaming service (Hulu LiveTV is provided for local channels), and very fast private Wi-Fi connection. The full bathroom is stocked with essential toiletries. Snacks and breakfast goods for the morning after will be waiting for you upon arrival. Both the living room and bedroom have window air conditioner units. There are also electric fireplaces in both the living room and bedroom which heat each room very nicely. Guest parking is available inside the gated property near the entrance to the Carriage House.
Though situated among a friendly neighborhood of houses, The Carriage House feels like a cozy country retreat, with all of the modern conveniences just a short trip away. We are just a short drive from supermarkets, eateries, and shopping at Sierra College. The Carriage House is the perfect place for overnight stays while attending events in near by towns such as Granite Bay, Folsom, Old Auburn, and Roseville. Feel free to bring your bikes as many attractions are just a bike ride away, from exploring downtown Loomis to the parks around Folsom Lake. But perhaps the most appealing feature of this retreat is its close proximity to the Flower Farm, an event and wedding destination!
  • A very cute and cozy place with a super convenient location. Monica and Nick are both also great with communicating with guests. Would gladly stay with them again.

  • The Carriage House was so cute and had everything we needed and more. The property and area was beautiful and it was the perfect location to be close to our friend’s wedding at the Flower Farm. The house was private, very clean, and we were even able to cook ourselves breakfast in the cute little kitchen. We opened the windows at night and could hear the frogs nearby and it was completely lovely! Will definitely recommend!

  • Where do I even start?!!! Short version, stay here stop looking anywhere else. Longer version, this place has so much to offer. The location is perfect. Its close to town but just far enough away where you get to see lots of animals and enjoy the countryside. The sunrise and sunsets from your porch are to die for. Birds are chirping. Geese are flying by. A neighbor has a water feature on their pond so you always have a gentle soothing water noise. Its quiet. Its private. I stayed here for 3 months while working in Roseville (commute about 25 min) and worked night shift and was able to sleep like a baby during the day. Auburn is beautiful and the place is very close to all the hiking and mntn biking trails. But then the actual apartment. OMG. They have great taste and have gotten some quality materials for the inside, aka soft closing cabinets, wonderful rainfall showerhead, and even the bathroom sink has a dim blue light on the faucet so you can see at night! The kitchen is inspiring I actually was excited to learn and cook new recipes! Full size fridge that keep your water very cold and delicious. I have back problems and the bed is perfect and was very comfortable. The couch is as well and ended up being my favorite napping place. Ooo and cant forget the washer/dryer! I felt so spoiled it cleans so well and effectively and the dryer is really fast! The dishwasher is quiet I would even turn it on before bed and in the studio I could still barely hear it. Mandy and Mike are an adorable and super sweet couple. Theyre so quick to respond and are there for anything. So welcoming and accodomating. This place is very private. Ur own parking spot. My doggie loved the room to roam. Delicious fruits at your picking in the orchard. This studio has it all and I cant say enough good things about it!

Sitting high on a hill inside a private gated residence, you will take in breathtaking mountain views looking out towards Lake Tahoe(just a little over an hour drive time), yet be conveniently located within 20 minutes of Folsom and 50 minutes of Sacramento. The house is occupied by your host and a friendly black lab and the private bedroom with a full bathroom directly across the hall. Quiet, views, solitude and nature are right out the window and door
Large home with the bedroom and bath next to each other with direct access outside through the backdoor. While I don’t expect you will cook, feel free to store things in the refrigerator and use the kitchen plates, cups and flatware
This is a rural/country setting so no shopping or conveniences once you’re here. Take a walk, a bike ride or just sit on one of the decks
  • Eric is such a down to earth and wonderful host. His place is absolutely charming and made you feel like if you were at home. He has the friendliest partner in crime Titan who is an absolute gentle giant. We’re definitely coming back!! The view in the morning was absolutely breathtaking.

    Eddie2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Eric was a very caring and a wonderful host. I choose his property to propose to my girlfriend and it went wonderful. We could not have wished for anything better. Highly recommended.

    David2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Eric's place is a slightly remote but highly recommendable location! Everybody who loves being surrounded by nature and great views should stay at this place. Everything was clean and ready when we arrived. The bed is super cozy and the private bathroom has everything you'll need.

    Lea2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Hands down the best airbnb experience I have ever had. The place is a little hard to find, especially in the dark(Google takes you to wrong address). Drive up the hill might not be for everyone. Talk to Eric about it and you will be good. But that's the one and only con of this place. The location is awesome, beautiful views of sunrise and over all valley. Excellent room and top notch cleanliness. Eric is a very generous and friendly host, he will give you total privacy if you want. Also a really fun guy to talk to. I would highly recommend his place to anyone, no matter what you are looking for. It's not an airbnb, it's an experience in itself. Proximity to Lake Tahoe, Sacramento is just an added bonus.

    Bharat2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay. A fine house. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Clean. A beautiful part of the country if you like to get away from the hustle and bustle of Sacramento.

  • Our experience may be different than yours if you are staying in the area on vacation. We stayed 30 days because we were in between houses and needed it for everyday living. We found it to be very comfortable, with lots of room, and all the great appliances you would want in a home. The gas fireplace was nice and heated the entire downstairs with the turn of a dial. There was a nice leather sofa and 2 comfortable chairs in the living room, flat screen tv, and a Roku streaming device. There’s no cable or satellite dish to give you live local and network channels. You just log in to any of your accounts (Amazon, Netflix, Hulu, Apple TV, Pandora, Spotify, etc.) and you can stream those channels. We upgraded our Hulu account to Hulu Live and were able to watch network channels & live TV. Don’t forget to log out of each of your accounts before you check out - the people before us forgot and we could have watched through their accounts but we wanted to access our own watch lists, etc. The kitchen was nicely outfitted & we were able to cook our meals with ease - we brought our own spices, condiments, etc. It was great having the stacked washer/dryer in the half bathroom downstairs and the 1-car garage. Can’t comment on the swimming pool or grill since it was January. The king size bed was very comfortable and it there was a nice master bath upstairs with good shower. We had our dog with us & didn’t feel comfortable letting him out on his own - the property (about 6 acres) isn’t completely fenced so we took him out on a leash whenever he needed to go out. There’s a very large German Shepard that lives in the main house and he is sometimes out on the property. All and all it was a very nice place to stay for an extended period.

    Linda & Brad2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I spent about 2 weeks at the cottage and had a great time. The place is very peaceful and quiet and is a great location to explore Granite Bay and the Sacramento area. The king size bed is very comfortable and the home has all the amenities to make for a nice stay. We had a couple of questions and Mela was very responsive to help us out.

    Tom2020-01-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place is just the retreat from the city we were looking for. It had a level of seclusion that made it feel like a cabin in the woods. The home was new and clean, but still safe for children. Remember to bring your own coffee, laundry soap, etc. that you might expect. We would definitely stay again!

    Jacob2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cute., quiet place in the country with amenities. Recommend, especially if you have dogs.

    Vevila2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Mela was a great host and communication with her was fast and easy. The property is beautiful and secluded and private but still close to local attractions.

    Monique2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed staying at Mela’s. Me + 2 friends were here to run a marathon, so was a convenient spot for us with plenty of space. You’ll need a car to get around, but that’s California in general.

  • David's house was wonderful! We are runners and were able to walk out the backdoor and run for miles on trails around the Lake. What a treat! Our teenagers and our 5 year old went down to the beach - played in the crystal water and collected shells. The main living space is stunning - large and airy open floor plan with panoramic views! While some reviews said the drive way was steep, it was not an issue for us and was quite easy to navigate even in our large SUV. It truly is a special place and we were sad to leave. We hope to be back soon! Thank you David for sharing your amazing property.

    Wendy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z

  • My boyfriend and I stayed at Larry’s place for the ‘Way Too Cool 50k’ race March 7th. The location was perfect - 10min away from the start/finish as well as close proximity to a grocery store. The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. I was happy that I could bring my dog as well - he loved walking around the property.

    Blair2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Larry’s house was sparkling clean and in an absolutely gorgeous area. The gated neighborhood was extremely safe and very scenic. The room was huge and Larry went out of his way to make sure we had our privacy. Everything was super excellent. Absolutely loved the place and the area. Hopefully we can return soon.

  • The beautiful house is on top of the world in cool, CA. They have amazing furniture and ambiance. The fire was going when we got there, and every morning we woke up. You can expect to be sleeping directly next to the host with your own personal bedroom and bathroom. He was so hospitable and put out of coffee and drinks as well as continental breakfast. Nicest guy! Great conversation. I had never stayed in an air bnb inside someone’s house, so this was new for ya, but we will definitely be back!

    Skye2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Loved staying here. Larry is incredibly accommodating and went out of his way to make us feel at home. He even drove us to the wedding we were attending (no other lyfts or Uber’s would go way up there)! He gave us great suggestions for local places to eat at. Appreciated the muffins and coffee in the morning. And his dog, Zeke, was just the best boy. We enjoyed cuddling him and having him around!

    Corinne2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Larry's place is first and foremost very clean, and I think Larry is hands down the best Airbnb host I've ever had. He was extraordinarily helpful in filling me in on what was going on locally. I had dinner with friends in Placerville one night, and Larry was such a warm host that he texted me to invite me to join him at a local night spot on my way back. I can't recommend a host more highly.

    Jeff2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • We choose to stay at Cool because it’s off the beaten track and the name is cool. This place has something so very special and captivating about it. It has zero tourists in the small town along with zero pollution. We went to California for our honeymoon, and we danced under the stars watched the most perfect sunset and star gazed at Larry’s home, this was truly a very magical evening at Cool, which will stay in our hearts for an eternity. Larry home is perfectly clean, Larry is very respectful giving his guest privacy. He makes it feel just like it’s your own home . Harrys is very kind, knowledgeable about the area and extremely hospitable. He has a fantastic vinyl collection, which he played beautiful music just for us. He was so kind, that when he found out it was out honeymoon, he gave us a bottle of local Californian champagne to celebrate.. If you are a Britt coming to California and want a piece of paradise in real California, come to Cool to have a cool time, you wont regret it.

    Dee2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking to explore the Sierra foothills, Larry’s place is an excellent place to do so. It’s clean and close to many activities bars and restaurants. Larry and Zeke are excellent hosts!
