Great place to stay at in Tacoma. Very quiet and calm neighborhood. The location is close to the interstate so that's a plus. Its also close to the mall and other popular stores. The inside of the place is excellent and provides the necessities for staying

Quiet, clean, cozy, and great host.

Loved this little place, had everything we needed for a quick overnight, microwave, mini fridge, nice bed, nice tub, reading lights, Wifi, table & chairs, plenty of clean linens, & privacy including private parking spot. Was actually a little more spacious than the photos make it look. Never met our hosts, which was fine because we were busy, but, as women traveling alone, it was nice to know they were nearby. Surprisingly mellow little neighborhood and so close to Tacoma Dome, Downtown, & I-5. Sweet!

This is a great place to stay if you need a place in Tacoma. This was our second time here. It’s very clean, comfortable and convenient. We’ll definitely be back!

This loft is like a little nautical dream. You'll love the views, curling up by the fire, having a quick hike down by the beach, and then taking a hot shower in the updated bathroom. We loved it here, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a get away from the city!

Simple, rustic charm in a jaw-dropping setting. Be sure and take the stairs down to the very walkable beach. Spot-on recommendation for dining at The Hardware Store; had a fantastic birthday dinner there.

Matthews place was clean, comfortable and in a perfect location. It was close to lots of activities but tucked away in a quiet neighborhood. He had everything we needed, and we loved having the space besides the bedroom to relax.

Rabbits are enjoyable to watch and feed. Great location. Did get a little road noise, but with the cold weather and windows closed, but extremely pleasant.

WOW! The pictures do not do this place justice. Beautiful front porch with rocking chairs greets you before you enter this cozy log cabin. Really thoughtful touches (homemade waffle mix, bunny feed, makeup wipes etc in bathroom). Wished we stayed here longer! Spent our wedding night here and are glad this where we started our life together.

Coming to this lodge is like entering an alternate universe where everything is comfy and sweet. The place had so many thoughtful touches, kris was so nice and welcoming, it was just what we needed for this leg of our trip.

Beautiful space with an extremely comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the heated mattress pad! The space is very well designed and we were very comfortable for our stay. Kris made sure that we had the things we needed and she had great communication. We will definitely be back!

Comfy, cozy, solid home. We loved the restful feel of this cabin. We had been travelling a lot, and it was so comforting to have warm blankets and real plates ( not paper!). This was instantly homey for my family.

This is a great place with a great host. Despite being called a "cabin", this is a very comfortable, well-built place. There are lots of nice touches included such as slippers, ear plugs (not that it was loud), coffee, and snacks. We even got to have a few snacks from their garden. The front porch is a great place to hang out. Note that the bunnies will occasionally come by expecting to be fed (food is provided). Wish we could have stayed longer!

A quaint, lovely historic home. Comfortable, welcoming environment. Peaceful. Noel greeted me and was most hospitable. Quality bed. Independent heating in the room that I could control. Coffee, juice, yogurt and toast in the morning. Everything was great for me. I’ve already reserved a return stay. I made a furry friend or two (beautiful indoor, some outdoor cats).

Noel's rooms are an incredible value in a cool older house in a great central Tacoma location with easy access to freeways and a straight shot to downtown. We were there to tour both PLU to the south and UPS to the north, and it was an easy drive to each. Noel mentioned that the local bus at his corner goes straight to the airport--we didn't use it but ask him about that if it interests you. His home is spacious with cool early to mid century details (I loved the bathroom and staircase) with a huge lush yard that I wished we could see in spring! The two rooms there (blue and green) are big enough for couples, with large tvs and bedside lamps for reading. Comfy bed in the green room where we stayed. Common area was spacious with a remote controlled gas fireplace, shared fridge, dining room table, and sofa. Noel provides coffee, tea, toast, yogurt, and juice for his guests. And, yes, the cats are adorable, especially the one that sqeaks. Noel and his wife are quiet, talented intellectuals and their home was great to escape back to after busy days.

It was incredible stay at Noel’s house . The tv was perfect and also the bed was comfortable and the room plus the food and coffee they have in the mornings really help and nice of them and the cats are super cool , the house is really authentic it was wonderful staying.

Brittany's tiny house was a pleasure to stay at. The communication was super easy and quick and the place was equipped with everything you'd need. The kayaks that were provided were also another source of fun.

We loved the little sitting nook with the window and the ability to cook all of our meals while staying at Brittany's place. There were easy to follow instructions for the composting toilet, hot water heater, and different heating options. My husband is 6'4'' and was able to navigate the place pretty easily but definitely was too long for the bed. It was a nice walk to the beach and Tolmie State Park with some lovely trails through the woods there. We saw plenty of people out clamming during the weekend and wished we'd had the right gear to join them!

An amazing tiny house experience that was amazing for two people. The house is cozy and intimate. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

My stay in the Tiny House was great! Although I was gone the majority of my there, I did enjoy coming “home” to such a cozy space. The bed was comfortable, and offers a great look at the stars. There were lots of things the host incorporated to make it feel like home. Most mornings I saw a deer or bunny! I did not have an opportunity it to use the fire pit, but it did offer a spectacular view! Brittany ensures that you stay there is a great, and her communications is excellent! Although the space it tight, and offers a lot more than meets the eye!

We had a wonderful night at Two Frog Bog! The yurt has everything you will need and more! It’s nice and quiet and away from town, and was a great escape for the evening. One of the heaters wasn’t working but we were plenty warm. The heated bed is amazing!!! Hopefully we’ll be able to come back in the future :)

We were looking for a quiet, unique getaway to slow down for the weekend, and we absolutely found it! Jim and Elona were quick with responses, their space was clean and beautifully decorated, and the directions were crystal clear and easy to follow . It was a beautiful spot hosted by very friendly people. For sure would recommend !!

Chip’s cabin is a cozy getaway from the city. You walk in and are welcomed by a fire in the stove. The waterfront is right out the back door and makes for great views while relaxing (we saw some porpoises!) Location couldn’t be better - close distance to the Point Robinson lighthouse, downtown shops and many great hiking trails. There is a binder filled with ideas to check out while on the island. Communication with Chip was a breeze. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

Treated my parents to a weekend stay at Chip’s place. They had a phenomenal time! The proximity to the waterfront was amazing and they loved the space itself.

Cozy cabin right on the shore -- property includes direct beach access, a local restaurant guide, and everything needed for a quiet night in. Check-in was seamless and we never even noticed the property owners next door. A quaint and quiet property on South Vashon Island -- would highly recommend and stay myself again!

We loved staying here! Such a cute and cozy space. We loved having the fireplace and being able to see the water from the glass doors. The cabin was a lot closer to the main house than we expected (you have to pass it to go down by the beach area) but it was very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely try to come back in the summer. Such a great value!

Absolutely loved our stay. The location is relatively close to everything. It was great to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The breathing taking view of Mt Rainier welcomed us each morning and the farm fresh eggs for breakfast made for a perfect start to the day! The cottage is easily accessible for anyone staying here. This room was AMAZING. There were many amenities! The hosts were really nice and responded fast, decorations were beautiful, the bed was very soft and comfortable as well as the pillows, and there were many options shows/movies on the tv . Very private, relaxing and quiet and the hosts left a very sweet card on the bed with a chocolate upon arrival! I enjoyed my stay here very much and would highly recommend staying here!!! Sylvia and Gary extended hospitality that was well-beyond expectation. Their home was in a nice quiet location and the suite was clean, organized, well-appointed. It was obvious they did everything they could think of to make their guests feel welcome; from the "welcome" card on the bed to the plentiful snacks and breakfast food. The suite was cosy and comfortable. I could not think of anything lacking. I feel we got much more than we paid for. Generous hosts.

Great little studio located right by the light house. It was perfectly sized for 2 people. Ideal for a getaway from Seattle. The horses outside the studio are super cute too! Communication from Lisa was prompt! The kitchen was well stoked but if you plan to cook a lot iid recommend bringing your own utensils. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it.

I’d recommend this to friends and family, such a gem rental. The wood fireplace was the perfect way to settle down at night in the cabin style accommodation. We used basically all of the supplied amenities and they all worked great. The ease of the rental really helped us have a wonderful weekend on Vashon. 5/5.

This airbnb was PERFECT for a quiet getaway from Seattle. Vashon Island is beautiful - and this property was amazing. The studio was cozy and had everything we needed for a quiet night, from a wood-fired stove to a very comfortable bed. Being able to walk to the beaches and lighthouse from the studio was a highlight. Can't wait to return.

I loved my time at the Wildwood Studio! I booked the studio for a few weeks in January/February and it was the perfect, cozy place to hide out the rainy days (with its big picture windows and warm blankets and wood-burning stove), as well as an amazing jumping off point for the drier days (when I'd head out for a run on the hills or a beach walk or a visit to the lighthouse). What a spectacular property!

Such a great location with truly breathtaking views! The unit is located in an eclectic neighborhood in a picturesque setting surrounded by other historic homes. There are many restaurants and bars near by (even though we didn’t get to go to a lot of them due to the COVID break out), and it’s about 90 minutes to Mt. Rainier National Park. The unit is stylish and bright, and the pictures of the view from the master balcony do not do it justice. Isaac was an outstanding host. Him & his wife really thought of everything when stocking their AirBnB from snacks, to coffee, to hand lotion and make-up wipes. We tried to extend our stay with them, but unfortunately they were already booked. It was truly a great experience.

We had a wonderful weekend in this darling apartment. It was warm and cozy, very comfortable and squeaky clean. It doesn't have a full kitchen, but the kitchenette was very handy, and we were able to prepare our meals easily. We enjoyed complimentary coffee (Keurig) and tea. The king bed was very comfortable. The space is very charming, with lots of light from big windows and views of the picturesque neighborhood. The Stadium District, with restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store are within walking distance. Isaac was very prompt with replies to our questions, and there was a lot of information about the apartment and the local amenities. Super easy entry. We highly recommend this place!

What a quaint and character-filled space! I kept being pleasantly surprised with little details and thoughtful touches at every turn. If the weather is warm, enjoy a peaceful morning or evening outside the French doors on the patio. Seriously so awesome. I would absolutely stay again!

I could spend a week or two here easy. Isaac's place has all of the amenities of home. The view of Mount Rainier from the french doors off the bedroom and onto the balcony is stunning. His place is few minutes from The University of Puget Sound and 6th Ave. The house stayed quiet throughout the night. I want to come back just to enjoy the balcony on a sunny day. Cheers!

The apartment was beautifully decorated, with a lot of natural light. We loved all the amenities that were provided and the little kitchenette with everything we could need. The location was awesome, within walking distance of a bunch of great restaurants, bars, and shops. The neighborhood was peaceful and walkable. I highly recommend staying here, it was clear that the hosts put a lot of thought and effort into making our stay as comfortable as possible.

Awsome tiny home in Stelicom. Two blocks from the Puget Sound. I always wanted to experience a tiny house. I like the loft bed aspect, alot. Walking distance to a couple local bars and restaurants. Great value for the money.

Everything was just as described. Really enjoyed my stay. It was perfect for me. Shower tip: turn cold on about halfway and hot about 1/4 to get a few more seconds of warm water.

Nice spot. Heater and AC. Lots of windows. Great bar downstairs. walk to Safeway, restaurants and coffee. 28 bus stops close-by. Good place, good value

If you are looking for luxury this isn’t the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable place to lay your head at night at a reasonable price this place is perfect. It is clean and comfy. The only thing missing is a microwave, but there is a (tiny) but full kitchen otherwise.

Great location and space was exactly as described! Husband and I spent two nights there to celebrate our anniversary. Easy to walk into downtown, or most everything seemed to be a $7 Uber ride. Bar downstairs was nice as well. The only thing is for us the pillows were a little soft, if we stay again we will bring our own, but that’s just our taste. Jodi was easy to deal with and the gentleman that showed us our room gave us a nice into to the building and the neighborhood.

It’s a great place to relax and for a great place. There is music playing late at night that you can hear but it did not bother us!

Isaac's apartment was perfect for a night in Tacoma. The neighborhood has beautiful historic homes, the unit was sparkling clean and has a stunning view of Mt. Rainier, and the bed was very comfortable. Isaac was very responsive/helpful and he left a very nice note about not worrying about cleaning up before departing. I've stayed at many Airbnb's and many are so strict about cleaning -- Isaac's note was such a nice surprise and relief when we left. As others have noted, the ceiling is a bit low (I'm ~5'10" and had no issues at all) and the shower is small. But this wonderful space is well worth those minor inconveniences.

This rental was absolutely adorable! The space was super clean and had great natural light. We loved taking in the mountain views while we cooked breakfast in the morning, and relaxing in the cozy sitting room in the evenings. Our hosts were very good about answering our questions promptly over text and communicating all the important info for checking in. I highly recommend the nest suite!

Very comfortable bed, cozy space, nice neighborhood. I enjoyed being on the top floor — there are two flights of steps, one quite narrow. Shower is truly tiny.

Clean and cute! It's better if you're shorter because the ceilings are lower in some places but it was comfortable other than that.

Tom was very friendly, came by to say hi shortly after I arrived. While small (as expected) I found the space very comfortable and well appointed. Tom even generously left some food and drink for guests to enjoy. The bathroom is separate, but warm, clean and with plenty of hot water. Great spot.

What a lovely place! Absolutely loved the unique touches inside the little cabin like music was playing when we walked in & there were candles for us to light if we wanted to. Some lovely treats & a great book selection too. Its such a unique space & lovely to escape the business of the city!

This little house is more spacious than the photos and description suggest. A very clever use of space, furnished with style. Both the house and bathroom were spotless and cosy. Tom is a generous host, providing lots of goodies. Definitely recommend it!

I have stayed at Georg's place multiple times during my trips to the South Puget Sound. Georg is a fantastic communicator and makes it so easy for me. I love that! His home is so beautifully decorated and has become a home away from home for my business trips. His dog Twinkles is super friendly and just loves people. 👍

Georg's place is the reason why airbnb should be on top of anyone list. His home was clean, comfortable and reminds me of a museum. The art work and his collections of art are amazing. I had a wonderful sleep and did not want to leave the cloud like bed! Communication was prompt and checking in was a breeze. Twinkles and his cute cat are extra bonuses. I highly recommend and next time I'm in town, I'll be sure to revisit.

The gated neighborhood was safe, the home was lovely, the room comfortable, and the cat and dog extremely freindly. George was an excellent conversationalist who seemed to take a genuine interest in his guests.

Definitely a great place to stay!! Sometimes the neighbors can be noisy, but other then that its very quiet. Easy access, parking was fine, 10min max from bars and food. Loved my stay!!

Maria’s place was a great location and perfect for a night while traveling. I could have used a manual for making coffee in the morning but the place was clean, well priced and easily accessible.

This studio is perfect! Plenty of room. Bathroom is a little small as others have said but you make up for it with the rest of the apartment. I liked that it had a secured entry. Bed was super comfy as well as the couch! The apartment is at a bit of a slope as well like others have said but it just gives it a bit more character. I would definitely book with Maria again. :)

Pat’s place was the perfect, unique solo-retreat experience. I was able to do some art, reading, and a nature walk along the Carbon River and Foothill Trails. There is beautiful wood carvings around the property. The host, Pat, allows you to do your thing but is timely and responsive when you do need anything. I’d stay here again!

Super charming rustic little cabin. The location was perfect for reaching downtown quickly and economically in an Uber. Easy check in and a lot of neat little notes around informing us of where things were and even a little history on the cabin.

We loved staying at this charming and historic cabin. We wish we were staying longer, but loved the time we had here! Notes from the host were everywhere, detailing the history of the building and also helpful tips about the house. It is older, but that adds so much character to it. Everything was clean and you can tell the host put a lot of thought into making it a great experience for everyone who stays here.

The cabin on the hill was just as described. There was a nicely stocked kitchen, laundry and comfy beds. Check-in was easy. The place was very clean and we had a great stay. Thanks!

Very comfortable room close to GRCC, where my weekend course was held. Bed was soft and the basket of junk food was appreciated. Hosts were very responsive and OK with me arriving late.

The bed was so cozy and comfy and she is wonderful!

I feel like I am staying with family. They had baskets with hygiene items, you may have forgotten, as well as a variety of snacks in case you have the evening-munchies. Keurig choices, and continental breakfast items to start the morning.

You can expect a warm home and a warm welcome. Very nice couple and nice house. They help with everything you need if you forgot shower equipment or food they have it and it’s a very home felling and clean

I stay in the Tacoma area every year for a special event I exhibit at. This year I was going to be doing so alone and didn’t want to sole expense of a hotel and decided to find a Airbnb. Bowl’s place was just perfect! It looked to be in a very safe neighborhood and the price was perfect for me. Then, my working partner DID end up traveling with me and there was even room for her. The room was very clean and charming and though we ended up having to leave suddenly, my only suggestion would be to have paper towels in the bathroom instead of just one small hand towel. Especially at a time like now. Will definitely return next year!

Greetings Future Travelers! Noel’s place is an absolute must if you are visiting the Tacoma area! His beautiful home is located in the heart of Tacoma. The neighborhood is quite and safe and in walking distance to restaurants, local shops, and Walgreens.

Noel is a really great host. He's put some real thought into the guest experience and has lots of nice little touches throughout the room. Loved the water & cookies upon arrival. Loved that the room has a writing desk and a couch -- not all Airbnb rooms do. And the bathroom was an awesome blast from the past. Great 50s/60s colored tile and sink. I also really appreciated Noel's flexibility on check in/check out. I arrived on a very late flight and departed on a very early flight, but Noel was very accommodating and made it easy. The house is on a residential street and not in a "happening" part of town, but Tacoma is pretty compact and you can get downtown within just a few minutes by car. Easy shot up to Seattle as well. And there's abundant parking on Noel's street. Thanks, Noel, for your easygoing hospitality!

Wonderful place. Very beautiful and cozy. There was always fresh coffee in the morning ready to brew, as well as English muffins, assorted yogurts and juice. The place was very clean and well kept. I felt like I had absolutely everything I needed and more. Overall, a great experience!

Great stop before an interview in the area. Noel was very generous and offered to clean my coat when I spilled sauce all over it. I ended up hand washing it bc of timing reasons but I greatly appreciate the offer

Sterling's "Glamper" was exactly as described: A laid back place to stay for no-fuss travelers. It was rather affordable for my extended trip. Pros: Quiet neighborhood, friendly host, comfy bed, lots of privacy Cons: very few, except maybe that the heater had to be unplugged to charge laptop/phone ( this was only an issue at night time, the camper stayed pretty warm for February during the daytime) Sterling was quick to address any concerns/questions I had. I would definitely recommend this stay for anyone who is looking for an affordable/clean vacation rental in Tacoma.

My girlfriend and I stayed here over the weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves. Great location, and private. Sterling responded very quickly and accomodated us in anyway that he could. My only complaint is that the pictures make the place look so much bigger than it actually is. But other than that it was great.

This place is a new RV with very nice appliances and amenities - the host is very active on making sure you are comfortable - it’s a nice stay and a clean place.

Sterling was prompt with any requests that I made during my one month stay. When I arrived, the RV was clean . There were water bottles waiting for me, and it was decorated more thoughtfully than I had anticipated. It was quiet, and I never had any issues with the neighborhood, parking, or the RV itself. This is a great value for private place in Tacoma.

We loved our stay in this perfect little a-frame. Luke and Amelia were quick with communication through the Airbnb app to tell us about flooding over the road and landslides in the area that altered our stay a bit (couldn’t get into the park) and also were quick to tell us where flashlights were when the power went out! Lots of nice little touches and a really great getaway weekend from the city. Thank you!

This cabin provided a perfect getaway. It was clean, bright and very comfortable. The setting was beautiful and the kids really enjoyed the kayaks, fire pit and the thoughtful details Linda provided like the s’mores and popcorn. Also the beach provided clams a plenty! I would highly recommend this lovely place.

Gorgeous retreat house along the shore! We have enjoyed the views of the magnificent sun setting on the bay as we sat out on the deck. Sparkling clean, nice touches provided by the host, private home and charming area. Truly a wonderful place of peace for us.

This cabin is perfect! Very clean, cozy, and perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. Beds were comfy! And of course, being right on the water was so nice! So quiet and peaceful! We loved being able to bring our little fur baby with us as well! Just a note: the two beds are up in a loft. The staircase up to the loft is VERY steep, almost a ladder. Getting my 8-month-pregnant body up and down those stairs, especially to go to the bathroom a million times in the middle of the night... that was a little rough! So just keep that in mind with the needs of your group.

Tranquil and perfect mini getaway

Absolutely beautiful setting, the pictures don't do it justice. Perfect house in that you can sit inside if it's cold or raining and feel apart of the scenery or take advantage of one of the two amazing decks.
