Bright and comfortable apartment located on a quiet street in a residential neighborhood, yet a 5 minute drive to the Tacoma Dome and downtown Tacoma. Very close access to I-5.
  • Such a cute place, and very well insulated. Would definitely stay again!

  • Great place to stay at in Tacoma. Very quiet and calm neighborhood. The location is close to the interstate so that's a plus. Its also close to the mall and other popular stores. The inside of the place is excellent and provides the necessities for staying

  • Quiet, clean, cozy, and great host.

    Cinthia2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Loved this little place, had everything we needed for a quick overnight, microwave, mini fridge, nice bed, nice tub, reading lights, Wifi, table & chairs, plenty of clean linens, & privacy including private parking spot. Was actually a little more spacious than the photos make it look. Never met our hosts, which was fine because we were busy, but, as women traveling alone, it was nice to know they were nearby. Surprisingly mellow little neighborhood and so close to Tacoma Dome, Downtown, & I-5. Sweet!

    Sarah2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay if you need a place in Tacoma. This was our second time here. It’s very clean, comfortable and convenient. We’ll definitely be back!

Wake up to spectacular views of Puget Sound and Mt. Rainier from this 700 sf, 2-story, chic and comfortable cottage on a 40 acre waterfront property. The southern exposure beach is ideal for strolling, beach combing, and relaxing. The beach w/ picnic area, fire pit, propane bbq, hammocks, and lounge chairs awaits you for outdoor r & r.
The charming & stylishly decorated loft has a kitchenette, wood stove (wood provided), queen bed in the open loft & a 26" wide daybed, and a full-size sofa sleeper on main floor. Cozy, rural, quiet and comfortable! Leashed pets welcome as long as they are not left alone in the loft. (A $40 pet deep cleaning fee per dog, with a limit of 2, applies). The bathroom, eating space, kitchenette, and wood stove are on the main floor and the sleeping area is upstairs in the open loft. The Loft has a spectacular view of the Sound. There is a queen bed and a narrower 26" wide daybed upstairs that work for a small adult or child, and a double sleeper sofa on the main floor. There is shaded sleeping platform at the water’s edge for summertime siestas. There are stairs and a trail to the south facing, fabulous, private beach. Orcas sometimes visit, seals and otter pass by, deer nibble outside your door ( mostly on my roses!) and there are eagles perched in the trees. The beautifully landscaped property property is ideal for quiet getaways —it feels remote but is just 20 minutes from the ferry. There are great restaurants, wineries, horseback riding, and mountain biking and hiking trails nearby an Pt Robinson lighthouse is a 10 minute walk along the shoreline or through the forest ( or a 2 minute drive away). This quiet and special place awaits you! And, in case you need more convincing, Lisa is one of the top Super Hosts on Airbnb with 100% consecutive SH status since the property was listed in 2016 and with hundreds of 5 star reviews. If you have any questions, please ask! If the loft is booked, or you want to invite more family or friends to join you, consider the two other guest spaces on the 40 acres: The Coach House at Wildwood (sleeps 4), the Forest Cabin ( sleeps 3 and has an outdoor soaking tub), Bluff House, Wildwood Barn Studio (sleeps 2). It is a short walk 5 or less walk between the cottages. Each is private, unique and fabulous in its own way. To see the other cottages and an overview map of the full property, click on my profile photo or on the icons near Loft & Beach on the map to see photos, availability and pricing of the Coach House at Wildwood or Wildwood Studio. The Loft and bluff yard are available for celebrations of up to 65 people (weddings, reunions, family celebrations, birthdays, photo shoots, film use, etc.) Inquire for availability and pricing. Loft & Beach and Bluff House is an ideal location for small events: baby showers, weddings, birthday celebrations, reunions, film production, photo shoots, etc. Don’t worry: for wedding/event days all the cottages are booked with the event, so you won’t be bothered by an event nearby if you book just one of the cottage! and all the cottages are booked, so you won't have an event going on if you book just one or some of the cottages. Vashon Field and Pond, the entire 40 acre property along with the cottages and Bluff house can be booked for larger events (up to 500 people). The exteriors and interiors of the cottages and the property have been featured in The Seattle Times Pacific Magazine, Seattle Bride Magazine, Country Living Magazine, Sunset books, in catalogs (Cutter & Buck most recently) , advertisements and in film including Anthony Bordain's "No Reservations" (aired Nov. 19, 2017 on the Pacific Northwest show). Celebrities have chosen to be married on the property - it is truly a stunning place to be! We are very familiar with how to coordinate details of large and small productions and events to assure your time here is a success and exactly as you want it to be. PLEASE NOTE: Summer Saturdays are blocked on the calendar until April 30th for weddings and other events to book. After April 30th the cottages can be booked separately from the venue for summer weekend dates.
Rural, peaceful with a spectacular view of Mt.Rainier. Other than our house, there are no visible neighboring houses. We have horses that pasture next door, Point Robinson lighthouse park and a marine park for beautiful hikes and picnics. The hammocks at the beach are up in the summer and there is a fire pit at the beach for grilling over the fire and making s'mores. 40 acres of privacy await you! If you are interested in hosting an outdoor event at the Loft, Mid-May through late September, for up to 60 people, the yard/property may be leased with the loft at an additional cost. We also can accommodate large events for up to 500 guests on the adjoining property. Please let us know if you might be interested in hosting an event and we can discuss the options. ( There is also a private 40 acre property nearby with the same lovely southern exposure and fabulous Mt. Rainier view. It has parking for up to 250 people ($2,000 & up per day) and can be leased for outdoor events May - September. The Loft can be used as honeymoon suite, dressing area or guest quarters, and there are two other overnight accommodations on the property: Wildwood Studio and The Coach House at Wildwood. Please inquire for further details.

  • Beautiful views, awesome space and excellent hosts! We have stayed several times and are always excited to return.

  • This loft is like a little nautical dream. You'll love the views, curling up by the fire, having a quick hike down by the beach, and then taking a hot shower in the updated bathroom. We loved it here, would highly recommend for anyone looking for a get away from the city!

    Hart2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Simple, rustic charm in a jaw-dropping setting. Be sure and take the stairs down to the very walkable beach. Spot-on recommendation for dining at The Hardware Store; had a fantastic birthday dinner there.

    Mike2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa’s loft and property are amazing! I came to Vashon from Seattle for a long weekend getaway. The view did not disappoint. The stress relief was sublime!

    Isaac2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a getaway! My wife and I loved our time at the Loft. Beautiful views and a cute-cozy stay. So grateful for the opportunity.

    Ronald2020-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • We felt very fortunate to be able to enjoy this property for a long weekend. The beaches, views, Madronas, and landscaping are stunning. It is clear this place is well loved by this family and we felt honored to be a part of that for a short time. This is probably the most stunning privately owned parcel on the island. If you want a true PNW experience, this is the place. Thanks Lisa!

Our home is located near ample shopping and restaurants, but is tucked away onto a quiet street. The backyard is spacious and relaxing, backed up to a greenway complete with a fire pit. The deck has a table, chairs, and a bbq during the summer months. There is street parking available directly in front of our house. We live here and rent out two guest rooms. There are 1.5 total bathrooms, which are shared. We have a young daughter and she keeps us very busy.
Located conveniently near SeaTac airport, our home offers great access to both the city amenities and the beautiful outdoor life of Washington. BY CAR, we live about 20 MINUTES from Seatac Airport. We live 20 MILES from Seattle. There is A LOT of traffic, so 20 miles can take anywhere from 30-90 minutes BY CAR. If you use public transportation, please refer to King County Metro for services. Buses have their own timeline depending on the day of the week, time of day, and where you are coming from or going to. There is app you can download.
The neighborhood is quiet--our house backs onto a greenway--but is still close to all amenities, including Seatac (20 minutes away) and Seattle center (20 miles away).
  • Great place to stay and would recommend to others.

28 day minimum-6 month maximum stay. A private little cabin fully furnished. Professional working locally? Visiting family? Cottontail Haven Lodge is perfect for you! Enjoy a comfortable stay near Lake Tapps & the towns of Sumner, Bonney Lake, Puyallup, Auburn, Enumclaw, Federal Way, Tacoma. 10-15 minutes to major freeways. Near White River Amphitheater, State Fairgrounds & more! The resident "rogue bunnies" will welcome you-they're the REAL owners of the cabin!
Your cabin in the woods is about 580 sq ft, built in 2008 with hand-peeled logs, remodeled as a guest house & Airbnb-ready in December 2016. Resident bunnies will "hang out" with you. They love to be talked to & photographed. Colorful hummingbirds will feed right in front of your rocking chair on the porch. The gentle deer are more elusive, but watch for them as they quietly walk past the cabin. Bushy gray squirrels scamper around the yard & would love a peanut or two. Yes, we have Bald Eagles & huge owls, too. All the essentials for a relaxing stay: (see pictures) * King-size Select Comfort bed with dual control heated mattress pad & full-queen size sleeper sofa. Bed has either winter soft flannel sheets or comfy cool summer Cariloha exquisite soft bamboo sheets. * Bathroom with sink, toilet, shower (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel) * 40" flat screen TV, digital antenna, DVR, WiFi, but no cable TV. * Board games, puzzles & playing cards in the "Games Box". * DVD movies & player (we have a lot of movies in our main house library, just ask) * Keurig coffee maker with coffee *Electric kettle with tea * Small crockpot, toaster, NutriBullet blender, waffle maker, kitchen utensils, seasonings * Clean towels, washcloths, hand towels * Washer/Dryer with small supply of detergent * Hair dryer, clothes hangers * Electronics charging station/desktop You will just need to bring milk for cereal or coffee. This cabin on a knoll is on it's own 1.3 acres with a circular driveway, ample parking for 2 cars & a large unfenced yard, all surrounded by meadow-like grass, trees & pastures. The front porch is a favorite place to relax while sitting in the four comfortable rocking chairs with a nearby small table for your refreshments. A propane BBQ grill is available in Spring/Summer seasons. A fire pit with surrounding seats & log tables makes evenings memorable as you roast a few marshmallows.
Our neighborhood is "rural-looking" with cows, horses, rabbits, Spring-time ducks, bald eagles, owls, squirrels & deer as neighbors. On a gravel road but 10-15 minutes drive to highways & freeways. Close to beautiful Lake Tapps, the county's largest recreational lake with 2 public parks with beaches, paddle boat and board rentals at the lake. (seasonal entry & not within walking distance) There is a well-traveled road behind the cabin (which sits on a high bank). The white noise machine will help diffuse the road noise at night though most guests tell me their home has more noise than the cabin. Only 10 mins drive to either quaint downtown Sumner, Bonney Lake or Lakeland Hills for shopping and restaurants. 15 minutes to Puyallup - WA State fairgrounds and events. An hour in either direction will get you to ski resorts on Snoqualmie Pass or Crystal Mountain. 2 hours to Paradise Mt Rainier, less than an hour to Seattle or the White River Amphitheater for concerts & half that time to downtown Tacoma (try the train!)
  • Rabbits are enjoyable to watch and feed. Great location. Did get a little road noise, but with the cold weather and windows closed, but extremely pleasant.

    Andrew2019-12-05T00:00:00Z
  • I have stayed several times now at Kris’ cabin! It’s awesome and I feel at home there! Kris is a great host and I enjoy my visits with her. The bunnies really do greet you everyday too😊. Obviously I would stay again and again!

    Debbie2019-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • WOW! The pictures do not do this place justice. Beautiful front porch with rocking chairs greets you before you enter this cozy log cabin. Really thoughtful touches (homemade waffle mix, bunny feed, makeup wipes etc in bathroom). Wished we stayed here longer! Spent our wedding night here and are glad this where we started our life together.

    Austyn2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Coming to this lodge is like entering an alternate universe where everything is comfy and sweet. The place had so many thoughtful touches, kris was so nice and welcoming, it was just what we needed for this leg of our trip.

    Abigail2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful space with an extremely comfortable bed. I really enjoyed the heated mattress pad! The space is very well designed and we were very comfortable for our stay. Kris made sure that we had the things we needed and she had great communication. We will definitely be back!

    Becky2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Comfy, cozy, solid home. We loved the restful feel of this cabin. We had been travelling a lot, and it was so comforting to have warm blankets and real plates ( not paper!). This was instantly homey for my family.

    Ben2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was wonderful. Kris was so friendly and welcoming!

    Jason2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place with a great host. Despite being called a "cabin", this is a very comfortable, well-built place. There are lots of nice touches included such as slippers, ear plugs (not that it was loud), coffee, and snacks. We even got to have a few snacks from their garden. The front porch is a great place to hang out. Note that the bunnies will occasionally come by expecting to be fed (food is provided). Wish we could have stayed longer!

The “Green” room is clean, cozy and inviting, with a queen size bed. For each guest we provide clean linens, towels, bathroom essentials, fresh water and cookies. There is also a 40" TV in the room with Amazon Firestick access, but no cable. There is no kitchen access for the guests but there is a breakfast nook in the living room Note: Two adorable cats live my home. Even though they are not allowed in the guest rooms, if you are seriously allergic to cats, my home is probably not for you.
Often called a hidden gem, our 1934 English Tudor style home has many admirable original features. Our guests compliment its beauty comfort and sparkling cleanliness. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. Located in southeast Tacoma, our home is situated on a half acre lot with many beautiful old trees, rhododendrons, Japanese maples and other lovely plants and shrubs in a private, fully fenced in setting. Close to several authentic Mexican diners and markets, it has an easy access to public transportation and freeways.
With many tall trees and nice old homes on our old established street, the neighborhood feels secluded, but has easy access to downtown Tacoma, Point Defiance Park, the waterfront, Mt. Rainier and the freeways that take you south to Olympia and north to Seattle. Olympia, with the beautiful State Capitol grounds and Seattle are both an easy 35 minute drive on I-5. Driving to the beautiful Kitsap and Olympic peninsulas is also an easy day drive there and back.
  • Great place to stay outstanding host. Would definitely stay again. The kitty in the house is so sweet as well

    Jessee2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect really liked the water just for us in our room. If the situation arises we would definitely stay here again!

    Alicia2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Peaceful and calm, quiet place. Host is quick to respond, pleasant to communicate with. Easy location for getting to the city and freeway. Beautiful vintage home. I recommend!

    Rachael2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable space. Love the fireplace and coffee and English muffins in the morning.

    Judith2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Accurate description and very fast responses! Best value in Tacoma! Will repeat!

    Eric2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • A quaint, lovely historic home. Comfortable, welcoming environment. Peaceful. Noel greeted me and was most hospitable. Quality bed. Independent heating in the room that I could control. Coffee, juice, yogurt and toast in the morning. Everything was great for me. I’ve already reserved a return stay. I made a furry friend or two (beautiful indoor, some outdoor cats).

    Judith2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Noel's rooms are an incredible value in a cool older house in a great central Tacoma location with easy access to freeways and a straight shot to downtown. We were there to tour both PLU to the south and UPS to the north, and it was an easy drive to each. Noel mentioned that the local bus at his corner goes straight to the airport--we didn't use it but ask him about that if it interests you. His home is spacious with cool early to mid century details (I loved the bathroom and staircase) with a huge lush yard that I wished we could see in spring! The two rooms there (blue and green) are big enough for couples, with large tvs and bedside lamps for reading. Comfy bed in the green room where we stayed. Common area was spacious with a remote controlled gas fireplace, shared fridge, dining room table, and sofa. Noel provides coffee, tea, toast, yogurt, and juice for his guests. And, yes, the cats are adorable, especially the one that sqeaks. Noel and his wife are quiet, talented intellectuals and their home was great to escape back to after busy days.

    Michele2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • It was incredible stay at Noel’s house . The tv was perfect and also the bed was comfortable and the room plus the food and coffee they have in the mornings really help and nice of them and the cats are super cool , the house is really authentic it was wonderful staying.

  • Brittany's tiny house was a pleasure to stay at. The communication was super easy and quick and the place was equipped with everything you'd need. The kayaks that were provided were also another source of fun.

    Brendan2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We loved the little sitting nook with the window and the ability to cook all of our meals while staying at Brittany's place. There were easy to follow instructions for the composting toilet, hot water heater, and different heating options. My husband is 6'4'' and was able to navigate the place pretty easily but definitely was too long for the bed. It was a nice walk to the beach and Tolmie State Park with some lovely trails through the woods there. We saw plenty of people out clamming during the weekend and wished we'd had the right gear to join them!

    Alissa2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • An amazing tiny house experience that was amazing for two people. The house is cozy and intimate. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

    Isaac2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was perfect for a winter getaway! My partner and I had a wonderful time with our little Pomeranian. Every detail in the decor was well thought out and very unique. Thank you, Brittany, for an amazing stay!

    Colleen2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • True tiny experience in a beautiful location!

    Luke2019-12-07T00:00:00Z
  • Small but welcoming with everything you could need. Couldn't be easier.

    Leslie2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to get away from the city. Amazing views and a unique overnight experience.

    Josh2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in the Tiny House was great! Although I was gone the majority of my there, I did enjoy coming “home” to such a cozy space. The bed was comfortable, and offers a great look at the stars. There were lots of things the host incorporated to make it feel like home. Most mornings I saw a deer or bunny! I did not have an opportunity it to use the fire pit, but it did offer a spectacular view! Brittany ensures that you stay there is a great, and her communications is excellent! Although the space it tight, and offers a lot more than meets the eye!

Welcome to Covington! Our cozy home right next to the highway to Seattle and lake recreation will be a delight for your travels. Clean and homey.
House on a Culdesac - we live next to the Sheriff. Very walkable and dog friendly (we have a cat/dog- he does rule the house:). Common area's clean (kids rooms - negotiable lol:). Backyard is not finished yet.
There is a lovely walking path with a duck pond and fountain out the front door... Just keep walking straight and you'll run right into it. Cute Bagel shop on the corner and your Seattle Coffee Nook also within walking distance...
  • very accommodating and accepted our booking request very last second so we had a place to sleep before our flight back home 👍

Looking for some seclusion? Awake to nature in this cozy treehouse for two! Enjoy verdant views from the loft in the double-sized bed. Newly constructed private half bath below the treehouse & shower house near the parking area. Private fire pit with propane grill, access to grocery stores & take out restaurants within 3 miles. Located centrally between Mt Rainier & the Olympic Mountains. (There is a 220 lb weight restriction on the ladder and ceiling height approx 5’9” upstairs in loft.)
This unique treehouse is a great getaway for nature lovers or those looking to do social distancing in style. There are many walkways through Douglas firs, cedars, hemlocks and rhododendrons as well as back wood paths that meander though grand firs and old growth of a few hundred years. In the spring, a ceremony of frogs lull you to sleep, summer months bring cool nights out on the wrap around deck. Autumn leaves from maples measure as wide as 18" and winter brings sometimes a rare snowfall that is magical. This is an experience, not a hotel. On windy nights, you will feel the treehouse sway. Everyday amenities are a little different--even the walk to the treehouse itself is a little journey. The treehouse half bathroom was built around the base of a large cedar and is just at the foot of the treehouse with a composting toilet and sink with hot water. Our new beautiful outdoor cedar shower house has skylights to showcase the trees above it and is available when temperatures are above freezing. Your stay includes a private fire pit with pre-cut wood, tv with assorted DVD movies, and an electric fireplace to keep you toasty warm. Near the private fire pit is a propane grill with an additional private seating area. On the deck is a large cooler to keep your food and beverages fresh. There is no microwave or stove. Plates, wine glasses with bottle opener, silver ware, coffee mugs with coffee and condiments, instant oatmeal as well as tea and hot chocolate are provided. Other things to note: The treehouse is approximately 190 sq ft. This treehouse is NOT suitable for large or tall persons, or persons with mobility challenges. The bed is a full size, and the ladder leading to the bedroom loft has a max weight limit of 220 lbs. The loft height is approx 5’9” at its highest. We are a strict non-smoking site, that includes the outdoors and woods. If the treehouse smells of smoke —even by association of smoking in your vehicle, it will still permeate in the fibers of the treehouse. There is an extra $400 cleaning fee for smoke scent removal of the treehouse. (Very difficult when dealing with natural fibers and tree bark.) Composting toilet: ALL MUST SIT! Sit until you feel the seat compress. You will hear/feel a little click. This is the back sliding door of the bowl opening to allow solid waste and paper to enter. If you do not follow these instructions and cause liquid to enter the back compost compartment, or damage the blue sliding door by not allowing it to be open during use, which then damages the door by having waste collect on it, you may be charged the following: $75 extra cleaning fee, $200 for sliding door bowl replacement and labor. Lastly, bed linen staining. If the sheets are stained, you may be charged any or all of the following: $100 for sheet replacement, $100 for pad replacement, and $200 for comforter replacement. We do host small weddings on occasion, so please inquire for details to set up a preview appt.
A mixed area of tribal-owned land, and private home/land owners. Close access to I-5, Hawks Prairie shopping, grocery stores, and restaurants are three miles away, one exit south off exit 111.

Charming private Vashon beach cottage. Get away from it all, unless you need it all, in which case you'd probably be happier in downtown Seattle. There's beach access and plenty of quiet at night. You can hear the water, the marine life and the birds. Vashon town is about 7 miles. Plenty of restaurants and interesting small shops. Pt. Robinson lighthouse is a short beach walk away. These pictures were taken early summer but some guests enjoy the winter.
Private guest house with deck and water view. Approx 400 sf. One queen bed and one queen pull out sofa sleeper. Stall shower with great water pressure. Fridge, microwave, 2 burner hot plate, cooking and serving items provided. Outdoor gas grill. I don't charge a cleaning fee and I accept 2 night bookings.
The neighborhood has tall trees behind and the beach in front. It's quiet here. The neighbor has small dogs and they bark--but go in at night.
  • Staying in The cabin was wonderful! The location was lovely and the place was so cozy. And Olive was so sweet! Thank you Chip, it was exactly what we needed!

    Valerie2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • Chip’s cabin is a cozy getaway from the city. You walk in and are welcomed by a fire in the stove. The waterfront is right out the back door and makes for great views while relaxing (we saw some porpoises!) Location couldn’t be better - close distance to the Point Robinson lighthouse, downtown shops and many great hiking trails. There is a binder filled with ideas to check out while on the island. Communication with Chip was a breeze. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!

    Sam2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Treated my parents to a weekend stay at Chip’s place. They had a phenomenal time! The proximity to the waterfront was amazing and they loved the space itself.

  • Great little cabin for the weekend. Secluded, comfortable and has a great view! Olive was very sweet and we loved the binoculars and books/games Chip had in the cabin

    Kaylee2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cabin right on the shore -- property includes direct beach access, a local restaurant guide, and everything needed for a quiet night in. Check-in was seamless and we never even noticed the property owners next door. A quaint and quiet property on South Vashon Island -- would highly recommend and stay myself again!

    Keara2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute space, great view, and just a very relaxing vibe.

    Lauren2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Very quaint and quiet, if you are looking for a place to 'get away' from it all, this is it.

    Judy2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying here! Such a cute and cozy space. We loved having the fireplace and being able to see the water from the glass doors. The cabin was a lot closer to the main house than we expected (you have to pass it to go down by the beach area) but it was very quiet and peaceful. Will definitely try to come back in the summer. Such a great value!

Whether passing through, coming for work, or exploring the area, our Lacey home will be perfect for you! We are less than 2 miles from I-5, with easy access to the surrounding area of Olympia, JBLM, Tacoma, Mt. Rainier, and even Olympic Nat. Park. Enjoy a comfortable room with private, in-suite bathroom, a continental breakfast, and a TV set up for streaming with Netflix included! Restaurants/shopping including Costco, Safeway and Starbucks are located nearby. Other info. listed in guidebook.
Total privacy is what you can expect! You'll enjoy a cozy, warm room with a very comfy bed and a private bathroom within your room. In your down time, hope you take advantage of the TV equipped with an Apple TV for your streaming pleasure...with free access to Netflix. Also, enjoy some goodies with your coffee/tea during your stay or take it to go:) The room has a door lock for extra security and piece of mind. Feel free to use it or not depending on your preference. Upon departure, please leave the key in the lock and the door to the bedroom open. If traveling with someone but sharing a bed is not the preferred option, there is a nice, thick floor mattress pad with additional bedding readily available, in the closet. You may notice that check-in time is 5 PM. Since both my husband and I work full time, we need a bit of time to get the room ready in-between guests. The 5 PM check-in will allow for our accommodations to be available more frequently rather than having it blocked out for prep time. In our experience, guests check in after 7 PM so this should not be a problem. You are welcome to send a message and check if the room is available before 5:00 PM.
We live in a fairly new neighborhood that's quiet and safe. Garbage day is on Monday so you may hear the garbage truck pass through. Also, landscaping is taken care of on Wednesdays by the homeowner's association.
  • This room was perfect! Totally exceeding our expectations. The location is secure, with no worries. The price was cheap for what they provide in a room and amenities. I think Sylvia and Gary should charge more for this place. *****

    Mark2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were very impressed! Sylvia and Gary's place was even better than we expected and a wonderful value.

    Jessica2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This room was AMAZING. There were many amenities! The hosts were really nice and responded fast, decorations were beautiful, the bed was very soft and comfortable as well as the pillows, and there were many options shows/movies on the tv . Very private, relaxing and quiet and the hosts left a very sweet card on the bed with a chocolate upon arrival! I enjoyed my stay here very much and would highly recommend staying here!!! This is definitely worthy of 5 stars :)

  • Sylvia and Gary extended hospitality that was well-beyond expectation. Their home was in a nice quiet location and the suite was clean, organized, well-appointed. It was obvious they did everything they could think of to make their guests feel welcome; from the "welcome" card on the bed to the plentiful snacks and breakfast food. The suite was cosy and comfortable. I could not think of anything lacking. I feel we got much more than we paid for. Generous hosts.

A charming studio apartment on a 40 acre, forested estate. A 5 minute walk through woodland trails to a pristine, private Puget Sound beach, or drive 2 min to the lighthouse beach at Pt. Robinson Park. This fully furnished, light-filled studio sleeps 2 in a comfy queen bed, has a wood stove (wood provided), a full kitchen, bath with shower, picnic area and propane barbecue. Horses graze outside your window; wildlife abounds. Pets are welcome with additional $40 fee. A non-smoking property.
A peaceful, restorative getaway just a 20 minute ferry ride from Seattle/Tacoma. The rustically-decorated, clean, studio is ideal for one or two people. There is a fully-equipped kitchen, wood stove (wood provided) and access through trails to our private beach. Enjoy coffee on the covered porch and watch horses graze nearby. Grill on the barbecue (propane provided) and eat a relaxing meal in the forested picnic area. Decorated with various old tools, antique skis, skates and sleds, heirloom trophies (from great grandpa's collection), birch tree table legs and bed posts, wine casks from the Italian family vineyard, oil lamps, and other "lodgey" decor, it is an unforgettable place. Two full-sized horses and a miniature horse graze on the pasture outside your door. The property has been designed and meticulously maintained by the same family for over 30 years. The goal has been to preserve the natural beauty of the woodlands and to protect the ecology of the forested landscape for the native flora & fauna: deer, eagles, hawk, heron, raccoons, owls, frogs, woodpeckers, etc. that make the property their home. Ideal for birdwatching, exploring the shoreline and aquatic life at the beach, or simply relaxing by the fire in the unique space. With Point Robinson Lighthouse Park just a few minutes walk through tranquil trails or a 2 minute drive away, you are invited to explore the magic of Vashon/Maury islands from this memorable location. At the beach you might see seals, sea lions, otter, heron, kingfisher, and occasionally even Orca, Humpback or Gray whales. If you have a party larger than 2, the Wildwood Coach House (690 sq.ft. ) is located on the opposite side of the barn and may be rented separately. It has a queen bed in the bedroom, a sofa sleeper in the living area, full kitchen and claw foot bathtub with a shower, a barbecue/picnic area outside, a wood stove with firewood provided and maximum occupancy is 4. Also available on adjoining property is Vashon Loft and Beach, which sleeps 4, with a water view and it's own beach access and waterfront picnic area. You can also book the entire property, (see the Vashon Field & Pond Event Venue listing) for weddings and other special events during the summer months. You can click on the red icons on the Airbnb map to see photos of the other cottages and event venue. Dogs that can be easily controlled on a leash are welcome, but must be leashed at all times, everywhere on the property for the protection of wildlife, cats, horses, rabbits, chickens and ducks. Always take your pet with you when you leave the studio. There is an additional $40 de-allergen deep cleaning fee for pets, and a maximum of 2 pets. PLEASE NOTE: Some summer weekends are blocked until May 1 for scheduling weddings/reunions/film & photo shoots and other event use. Don't worry: when Vashon Field and Pond is holding an event we don't rent the Coach House and Studio to guests outside the event, so you'll have peace and quiet during your visit.
South facing, the property is technically on Maury Island which connects to Vashon at Portage. There are lots of good hikes on trails on the property, the beach, at Point Robinson Lighthouse Park and the Maury Island Marine Park within walking distance. The town of Vashon is a 15 minute drive away, so you might want to pick up groceries on your way through Vashon town if you arrive via the Seattle or Southworth ferries. If you are coming from Tacoma, there is a tiny store in Burton (at the 4 way stop) for groceries, or you can continue north on Vashon Highway for 10 minutes until you reach the town of Vashon with 2 grocery stores, galleries, shops, restaurants, movie theater, gas stations, library, etc. Vashon pretty much requires that you have a car. Metro Transit busses 118 and 119 come within about 3 miles of the property; you can get to the Bunk House in about 20 minutes from the bus stop on a bike. Vashon Shuttle Service offers door to door transportation to/from Sea-Tac airport and the ferries. Uber SOMETIMES operates on the island, so check before you depend on it for a ride. Check to see if Uber is operating on the island during your say if you don't have a car. Unfortunately, our insurance does not allow us to transport guests.
  • Great little studio located right by the light house. It was perfectly sized for 2 people. Ideal for a getaway from Seattle. The horses outside the studio are super cute too! Communication from Lisa was prompt! The kitchen was well stoked but if you plan to cook a lot iid recommend bringing your own utensils. Overall, it was a good experience and I recommend it.

  • Absolutely loved the place! If you are looking for a date night stay this is the place!

    Kiersten2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • I’d recommend this to friends and family, such a gem rental. The wood fireplace was the perfect way to settle down at night in the cabin style accommodation. We used basically all of the supplied amenities and they all worked great. The ease of the rental really helped us have a wonderful weekend on Vashon. 5/5.

  • A gem on Vashon and a great place to relax and disconnect!

    Jess2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This airbnb was PERFECT for a quiet getaway from Seattle. Vashon Island is beautiful - and this property was amazing. The studio was cozy and had everything we needed for a quiet night, from a wood-fired stove to a very comfortable bed. Being able to walk to the beaches and lighthouse from the studio was a highlight. Can't wait to return.

    Megan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful, and peaceful place to stay. My daughter and I had a wonderful weekend getaway and we will definitely be back

    Karly2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A cozy and relaxing retreat. The studio was clean and comfortable and the property is so beautiful. What a treat to get to stay in a barn with horses right outside your door!

    Ryan2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • I loved my time at the Wildwood Studio! I booked the studio for a few weeks in January/February and it was the perfect, cozy place to hide out the rainy days (with its big picture windows and warm blankets and wood-burning stove), as well as an amazing jumping off point for the drier days (when I'd head out for a run on the hills or a beach walk or a visit to the lighthouse). What a spectacular property!

Lovely single bedroom apartment, located on the second floor of a beautiful North Tacoma, Dutch Colonial home! Master suite with king size bed & French doors to deck with gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier. Spacious living & dining area with coffee bar, table & benches, 48" TV, chaise which folds into extra single bed, & more! Kitchenette includes microwave, toaster oven, hot plate, fridge, & all the essentials! Enjoy common game/DVD closet as well as spacious backyard with propane fire pit!
    - This is a private apartment space within a large home. You will enter the home from the front door to a main, shared hall with stairs that lead to the individual units. The Rainier is one of two apartments on the second floor. We have another Airbnb listing for the third floor unit, called The Nest. - If you forgot or need anything, check out the common hall closet at the top of the second landing; there you will find games, DVDs, hair dryer, extra toiletries, first aid kit, iron & more! Help yourself! - Please note that the “kitchen” is not a full/ conventional kitchen, but rather a kitchenette. Large toaster oven (capable of baking, cooking and toasting), hot plate with cooking pots and pans, microwave, coffee and all the essentials are included in our kitchenette. While we do not foresee this being an issue for any guests, we like to be upfront. - The owner’s medium size, well trained dog lives in the house (main floor unit). Dog is not allowed in common spaces or in private suites. - Other pets have not been within property under current ownership. - We use the NEST Thermostat, and it is auto-controlled according to the temperature in your unit. A laundromat is just four blocks away - 6th Ave Speed-Wash - 1318 6th Ave - Open 8am-10pm. It is very clean and usually empty!
  • Such a great location with truly breathtaking views! The unit is located in an eclectic neighborhood in a picturesque setting surrounded by other historic homes. There are many restaurants and bars near by (even though we didn’t get to go to a lot of them due to the COVID break out), and it’s about 90 minutes to Mt. Rainier National Park. The unit is stylish and bright, and the pictures of the view from the master balcony do not do it justice. Isaac was an outstanding host. Him & his wife really thought of everything when stocking their AirBnB from snacks, to coffee, to hand lotion and make-up wipes. We tried to extend our stay with them, but unfortunately they were already booked. It was truly a great experience.

    Valeria2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend in this darling apartment. It was warm and cozy, very comfortable and squeaky clean. It doesn't have a full kitchen, but the kitchenette was very handy, and we were able to prepare our meals easily. We enjoyed complimentary coffee (Keurig) and tea. The king bed was very comfortable. The space is very charming, with lots of light from big windows and views of the picturesque neighborhood. The Stadium District, with restaurants, coffee shops and grocery store are within walking distance. Isaac was very prompt with replies to our questions, and there was a lot of information about the apartment and the local amenities. Super easy entry. We highly recommend this place!

  • What a quaint and character-filled space! I kept being pleasantly surprised with little details and thoughtful touches at every turn. If the weather is warm, enjoy a peaceful morning or evening outside the French doors on the patio. Seriously so awesome. I would absolutely stay again!

    Libby2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I could spend a week or two here easy. Isaac's place has all of the amenities of home. The view of Mount Rainier from the french doors off the bedroom and onto the balcony is stunning. His place is few minutes from The University of Puget Sound and 6th Ave. The house stayed quiet throughout the night. I want to come back just to enjoy the balcony on a sunny day. Cheers!

  • Great location and nice walking neighborhood. The apartment had everything we needed.

    Nancy2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was beautifully decorated, with a lot of natural light. We loved all the amenities that were provided and the little kitchenette with everything we could need. The location was awesome, within walking distance of a bunch of great restaurants, bars, and shops. The neighborhood was peaceful and walkable. I highly recommend staying here, it was clear that the hosts put a lot of thought and effort into making our stay as comfortable as possible.

This apartment is located in the Courtney building in the heart of the Hilltop neighborhood. It is above a friendly Pub , a great Pho restaurant and a good natured Pawn shop. There are restaurants and Bars within walking distance . You are within 1 mile of both major hospitals, Tacoma General and Saint Joseph. . A cab ride away from the Tacoma dome and the art museums. Late check in available. The apt is a studio with a queen bed, bathroom shower and a FULL kitchen. NO SINK in the bathroom.
Welcome to "Penny lane" Penny lane is a furnished private studio apartment in a secured building. There is a bed and a small desk in one room and a step up kitchen with everything you need for your basic cooking needs. THERE is NOT a sink in the bathroom only in the kitchen. I strongly point this out because even though it was ALWAYS in my listing a guest gave me a 3 star for this . I strive for perfection. 5 stars. If you want to cook a huge turkey dinner, contact me for extra pots and pans. There is internet access and a T.V. with cable and Blue ray DVD payer. We have dvd's you can borrow downstairs . Come down and say hi ! There are 9 units upstairs two are ARBNB and the other 7 units are filled with long time tenants .We ask that you be considerate of your noise level on the other hand you are above a restaurant and a bar and it can be a bit boisterous. This is a fun and lively neighborhood and you are within walking distance of some great restaurants and pubs. Also within walking distance is a Safeway , a post office and two major hospitals. Tacoma General and Saint Joseph. You are on a bus line. You are close to downtown where the art museums are located. This is an inner city neighborhood and we experience inner city problems as all cities do. There may be an occasional panhandler etc. I try to be very honest about my location. On the plus side you are close to everything and get all the great things the inner city can bring. The Tacoma dome is 2.5 miles away. The convention center is close. • If you are looking for luxury this isn’t the place for you. If you are looking for a comfortable place to lay your head at night at a reasonable price this place is perfect. It is clean and comfy. The only thing missing is a microwave, but there is a (tiny) but full kitchen otherwise.

    Latisha2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great location and space was exactly as described! Husband and I spent two nights there to celebrate our anniversary. Easy to walk into downtown, or most everything seemed to be a $7 Uber ride. Bar downstairs was nice as well. The only thing is for us the pillows were a little soft, if we stay again we will bring our own, but that’s just our taste. Jodi was easy to deal with and the gentleman that showed us our room gave us a nice into to the building and the neighborhood.

Cozy, third floor apartment within beautiful North Tacoma, Dutch Colonial home! Mt. Rainier view from kitchen/dining room & bedroom! Full kitchen with all the essentials included! This unit has 6.5-7ft ceilings and a narrow, short shower. If you are over 6ft tall, be aware that this apartment may not be as comfortable for you (specifically the shower). Enjoy spacious backyard with apple trees & garden space! Apartment is completely private; no shared common spaces beyond the main hall/stairway.
    - Check-in is no earlier than 3pm; check-out is no later than 11am. -This is a private apartment space within a large home. You will enter the home from the front door to a main, shared hall with stairs that lead to the individual units. The entrance to The Nest is located on the second floor, and there is an additional staircase once you enter the private space. We have another Airbnb listing for one of the second floor units, called The Rainier. - Mattress in bedroom is full size. Comfortable sofa bed in living room is likewise full size. Four people could share this unit if beds are shared. Four would be the maximum capacity of this space. - Gigabit speed internet! Very fast! We have never had a complaint about speed or signal. So you can definitely count on great internet! - If you forgot or need anything, check out the common hall closet at the top of the second landing; there you will find games, DVDs, hair dryer, extra toiletries, first aid kit, iron & more! Help yourself! - Small shower & doorways! The roof is pitched in many of the rooms, as can been seen in the photos. We simply want to be as candid as possible on this, so as not to disappoint potential guests. Again, if you are over 6ft tall, this may not be the best Airbnb option for you. - The owner’s medium sized, friendly dog, Ginger lives in the house (main floor unit) with the owners. Dog has never been allowed in common spaces or in private suites, so allergies are not a concern. No other pets are allowed, or have ever been allowed within the unit. We will often play in the large, shared backyard with Ginger; she is friendly and well behaved, so do not hesitate to join us if we are outside. - We use the NEST Thermostat, and it is auto-controlled according to the temperature in your unit. With that said, if you are too hot or too cold, don’t hesitate to let us know and we can adjust accordingly. - No smoking or vaping of any kind on property! Thank you.

  • Isaac's apartment was perfect for a night in Tacoma. The neighborhood has beautiful historic homes, the unit was sparkling clean and has a stunning view of Mt. Rainier, and the bed was very comfortable. Isaac was very responsive/helpful and he left a very nice note about not worrying about cleaning up before departing. I've stayed at many Airbnb's and many are so strict about cleaning -- Isaac's note was such a nice surprise and relief when we left. As others have noted, the ceiling is a bit low (I'm ~5'10" and had no issues at all) and the shower is small. But this wonderful space is well worth those minor inconveniences.

    Aaron2020-03-15T00:00:00Z

We loved taking in the mountain views while we cooked breakfast in the morning, and relaxing in the cozy sitting room in the evenings. Our hosts were very good about answering our questions promptly over text and communicating all the important info for checking in. I highly recommend the nest suite!

  • Very comfortable bed, cozy space, nice neighborhood. I enjoyed being on the top floor — there are two flights of steps, one quite narrow. Shower is truly tiny.

This little cabin was built for my daughter Who is now 27 And being busy busy busy, so we have staged it for guest because when she comes home she sleeps on the couch lol My property is 5 1/2 of Pristine Northwest forest. My property is basically one big hill with my house sit at the top, the small cabin you will stay at is on the lower landing next to an amazing tiny house, the goats sleep half up the hill in the Goat castle, currently under a major remodel. please walk up the hill and see
I am working on the city slicker dream of home steading and growing mine own food, this has been a work in progress for the last 12 years, with some bumps in the road I continue to work on my project keeping my dream intact. Although it is close to Highway 99, I hope you enjoy my little slice of the forest. I live on a hill, so it is is very diverse property, The cabin is on the lower lot next to another tiny house, it is very private because the tiny house people keep to them selves, unless you knock on there door for tour, yes it is that cool you will want to see inside! There is a fire pit by the cabin, and sometimes you will find a nice stack of wood to enjoy a fire,if not feel free to gather some.
I know the owners of two great restaurant 2 min from my place , one is Don Jaun’s Mexican kitchen and the other is T90 pizza $$ If you are into beer I recommend Matchless brewery about 11 minutes from my place. Also close by is the Cidermill, about five minutes away. Wolf Haven is also close.
  • We loved staying here. It was super cozy and the goats on the farm were super cute. The place had great amenities like snacks in case you forget and firewood to make smores

  • Tom was very friendly, came by to say hi shortly after I arrived. While small (as expected) I found the space very comfortable and well appointed. Tom even generously left some food and drink for guests to enjoy. The bathroom is separate, but warm, clean and with plenty of hot water. Great spot.

  • I have stayed at Georg's place multiple times during my trips to the South Puget Sound. Georg is a fantastic communicator and makes it so easy for me. I love that! His home is so beautifully decorated and has become a home away from home for my business trips. His dog Twinkles is super friendly and just loves people. 👍

    Jim2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • Georg's place is the reason why airbnb should be on top of anyone list. His home was clean, comfortable and reminds me of a museum. The art work and his collections of art are amazing. I had a wonderful sleep and did not want to leave the cloud like bed! Communication was prompt and checking in was a breeze. Twinkles and his cute cat are extra bonuses. I highly recommend and next time I'm in town, I'll be sure to revisit.

    Bophal2020-01-25T00:00:00Z

  • This studio is perfect! Plenty of room. Bathroom is a little small as others have said but you make up for it with the rest of the apartment. I liked that it had a secured entry. Bed was super comfy as well as the couch! The apartment is at a bit of a slope as well like others have said but it just gives it a bit more character. I would definitely book with Maria again. :)

  • Pat’s place was the perfect, unique solo-retreat experience. I was able to do some art, reading, and a nature walk along the Carbon River and Foothill Trails. There is beautiful wood carvings around the property. The host, Pat, allows you to do your thing but is timely and responsive when you do need anything. I’d stay here again!

"Cabin 36" is cute, clean, cozy and fully separate home conveniently located just .83 miles off I-5 and 3 mi from downtown. It is in a residential area and has old fashioned charm. Has a private back yard, owners live next door. Due to the Virus we are adding strict Covid-19 cleaning protocols and 72 hr spaces between guests. If you are a first responder please apply through the Airbnb first responder network and let us know for 35% discount.
The cabin is a cute and petite urban cabin around 700 square feet, with two small bedrooms, a living room, bathroom and kitchen. It is called "the cabin" because in 1905 it was a lone cabin on this hill, of course now there is a residential neighborhood built around it but it has kept it's old fashioned charm with high ceilings and original cabinets. It has been given a lot of love over the years so is well cared for, clean, well stocked and extremely cozy. There is a good queen bed in one bedroom (yes, it takes up a lot of the space but is very comfy) and a full sized futon bed in the other bedroom that folds up into a couch. There is a desk in the second bedroom so it can also function well as an office space as there is free high speed secure wifi at the Bungalow. There is a flat screen TV, DVD player, and wii game console with games for families. The TV is not connected to cable but gets wifi and is signed in to our netflix account for movie and series watching. The kitchen is fully furnished with dishes, cooking utensils, range, fridge, dishwasher, and dining table as well as plenty of spices and condiments. The Bungalow sits on a large lot with plenty of parking for 2+ vehicles along street and large unfenced yard space, as well as a nice front porch with BBQ, table and chairs and some backyard chairs for relaxing in the sun.
This residential neighborhood of single homes has an interesting mix of a little of everything from turn of the century to new construction. It is on a hill so there is a bit of a view and usually a breeze. While during the recession this neighborhood was struggling, now the prices in Seattle are skyrocketing so we are getting many new, first time homeowners coming in. Most of the houses are cute and well cared for and many are under renovation, or up for sale... It's an eclectic little residential hill, the residents also come from every corner of the globe and walk of life so no one feels out of place here. It is quiet (except around the 4th of July) as our neighbors are working families, and safe here, but also just a few minutes from the bustle of downtown. We live in the house next door and we love it here and are glad to be part of the revitalization of this old Tacoma neighborhood. In terms of crime, despite Tacoma's sometimes bad reputation and homelessness issues throughout the Puget Sound area, (you will see this near the freeway entrances, downtown, and everywhere in Seattle), here on the hill we are not a target for thieves or vagrants (perhaps due to being on a hill that no one cares to walk up) so it stays safe and quiet here year round. (Except the 4th of July when it is very noisy here, as fireworks are legal on this hill!) There is a casino near the freeway entrance so sometimes you can catch bits of concerts from old 80's bands if you are outside some summer evenings but it is not loud and ends by 10. It is completely residential so having a car is a must, but It is a short drive to the freeway, freighthouse square,Tacoma dome, and downtown.
  • Jeneva is a lovely host! I can't say enough good things! Her cozy cabin is the perfect place to feel comfortable. She has the cabin stocked with anything you may need. We felt right at home and really enjoyed our stay our last minute stay. Thank you so much, Jeneva! We will be back next time!

  • I enjoyed staying there. The cabin reminded me of my Grandparents' home growing up. LOVE the kitchen and the drawings of Harkness!

    Margo2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Super charming rustic little cabin. The location was perfect for reaching downtown quickly and economically in an Uber. Easy check in and a lot of neat little notes around informing us of where things were and even a little history on the cabin.

    Alisha2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at this charming and historic cabin. We wish we were staying longer, but loved the time we had here! Notes from the host were everywhere, detailing the history of the building and also helpful tips about the house. It is older, but that adds so much character to it. Everything was clean and you can tell the host put a lot of thought into making it a great experience for everyone who stays here.

    Spencer2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin on the hill was just as described. There was a nicely stocked kitchen, laundry and comfy beds. Check-in was easy. The place was very clean and we had a great stay. Thanks!

A spacious, comfortable room with a queen size bed, a 40" TV, a small table and sofa bed, the decor in white and blue creates a peaceful atmosphere and supports a good night's rest. We provide clean linens, towels, fresh water, cookies and bathroom essentials. There is no kitchen access for guests but there is a breakfast nook in the living room Note: I have two cats in my home. They are not allowed in the bedrooms, but if you are allergic to cats, my home is probably not for you.
Often called a hidden gem, our 1934 English Tudor style home has many admirable original features. Our guests compliment its beauty comfort and sparkling cleanliness. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. We have decorated our home in a comfortable European cottage style that sets it apart from most Tacoma homes. Located in southeast Tacoma, our home is situated on a half acre lot with many beautiful old trees, rhododendrons, Japanese maples and other lovely plants and shrubs in a private, fully fenced in setting. Close to several authentic Mexican diners and markets, easy access to public transportation and freeways.
With many tall trees and nice old homes on our old established street, the neighborhood feels secluded, but has easy access to downtown Tacoma, the Tacoma Dome, several wonderful museums, Point Defiance Park, the waterfront, Mt.
  • I stay in the Tacoma area every year for a special event I exhibit at. This year I was going to be doing so alone and didn’t want to sole expense of a hotel and decided to find a Airbnb. Bowl’s place was just perfect! It looked to be in a very safe neighborhood and the price was perfect for me. Then, my working partner DID end up traveling with me and there was even room for her. The room was very clean and charming and though we ended up having to leave suddenly, my only suggestion would be to have paper towels in the bathroom instead of just one small hand towel. Especially at a time like now. Will definitely return next year!

  • Greetings Future Travelers! Noel’s place is an absolute must if you are visiting the Tacoma area! His beautiful home is located in the heart of Tacoma. The neighborhood is quite and safe and in walking distance to restaurants, local shops, and Walgreens.

    Adefemi2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Noel is a really great host. He's put some real thought into the guest experience and has lots of nice little touches throughout the room. Loved the water & cookies upon arrival. Loved that the room has a writing desk and a couch -- not all Airbnb rooms do. And the bathroom was an awesome blast from the past. Great 50s/60s colored tile and sink. I also really appreciated Noel's flexibility on check in/check out. I arrived on a very late flight and departed on a very early flight, but Noel was very accommodating and made it easy. The house is on a residential street and not in a "happening" part of town, but Tacoma is pretty compact and you can get downtown within just a few minutes by car. Easy shot up to Seattle as well. And there's abundant parking on Noel's street. Thanks, Noel, for your easygoing hospitality!

    Dylan2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful place. Very beautiful and cozy. There was always fresh coffee in the morning ready to brew, as well as English muffins, assorted yogurts and juice. The place was very clean and well kept. I felt like I had absolutely everything I needed and more. Overall, a great experience!

    Michelle2020-02-10T00:00:00Z

We have a new 2019 Jayco JayFlight 26 foot Trailer, in a space just off the alley, with personal private parking space, and private deck. Sleep six people comfortably; with queen size, and two full size beds. Beds are in the trailer ready to use; no folding things out to access them. The hot water is electric, and the stove is propane. The trailer has a propane furnace but the noise level is too high so we use an oil filled space heater that works great. It's 180 sq. ft. It's an RV. Remember?
The space is comfortable and functional. Good size refrigerator that keeps things cold. It is in a space off the alley, that is very peaceful and private; and comes with a private parking space right by your front door. The location is a prime are; less than a mile from the new development at Point Ruston, 2 miles to Point Defiance Park, less than a mile to "Restaurant Row" along the waterfront and less than 5 miles to downtown. It is 180 sq. ft. And arranged to be livable. The pics are intended to show as much of the unit as possible; without having to do mental gymnastics trying to piece together a hodgepodge of pics that typically do not show much, individually. The average bedroom is between 100 sq. ft. Up to 160 sq. ft on average. The trailer is roomy and comfy. But if you have NO experience with an RV, or you are expecting a large space; you will need to look elsewhere.
The neighborhood is a quiet, peaceful and safe family neighborhood. It is close to many fine restaurants, parks, museums and quality grocery stores. There is public bus routes on all sides, and within 1.5 blocks on two sides. A good neighborhood grocery store is short walk down the street. The point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium is very close as well as the attractions at Point Ruston. It is common to see deer wandering about anytime, racoons mostly at night, or other wildlife at random times of the day or night. The neighbor 2 houses down has a massive Heron nesting in one tree for the past 4 years. It's an interesting bird to see, but even more unusual to hear. "Glamping," in the City!
  • It was nice and quiet.

    Rizi2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Sterling's "Glamper" was exactly as described: A laid back place to stay for no-fuss travelers. It was rather affordable for my extended trip. Pros: Quiet neighborhood, friendly host, comfy bed, lots of privacy Cons: very few, except maybe that the heater had to be unplugged to charge laptop/phone ( this was only an issue at night time, the camper stayed pretty warm for February during the daytime) Sterling was quick to address any concerns/questions I had. I would definitely recommend this stay for anyone who is looking for an affordable/clean vacation rental in Tacoma.

    Kaitlyn2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I stayed here over the weekend and we really enjoyed ourselves. Great location, and private. Sterling responded very quickly and accomodated us in anyway that he could. My only complaint is that the pictures make the place look so much bigger than it actually is. But other than that it was great.

    Sam2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a new RV with very nice appliances and amenities - the host is very active on making sure you are comfortable - it’s a nice stay and a clean place.

    Jeffrey2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • Good location and very clean, I’d definitely come stay here again!

    Steven2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Sterling was prompt with any requests that I made during my one month stay. When I arrived, the RV was clean . There were water bottles waiting for me, and it was decorated more thoughtfully than I had anticipated. It was quiet, and I never had any issues with the neighborhood, parking, or the RV itself. This is a great value for private place in Tacoma.

    Summer2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, quiet and privacy was great! Very quick responses from host!!

    Joanne2019-12-23T00:00:00Z

A quaint A-frame that has been recently remodeled. The cabin is located close to Mount Rainier & is a 1 minute walk to the Nisqually River. Enjoy sitting next to the wood stove after a hike up in the national park, watch a movie & relax. Wifi provided.
Rustic and modern in one. The cabin was built in 1965 but the interior is modern, chic and comfortable. Newly remodeled spring 2016. It's awesome.
Quiet and quaint. On a cul-de-sac, no road noise. There is access to the Nisqually river a few hundred yards out the back door. We have a few neighbors in the cul-de-sac but most of the properties are used as second homes, so this is a great place to unplug and refresh.
  • Was perfect for time alone and would be great for two!

  • Hebe’s Hideout was perfect! Cozy cabin which was very close the Tahoma Trail system where we explored all day. It was lovey tending a fire and enjoying the evening in the cabin. The full kitchen made it very easy as well. Thanks!

    Woody2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay in this perfect little a-frame. Luke and Amelia were quick with communication through the Airbnb app to tell us about flooding over the road and landslides in the area that altered our stay a bit (couldn’t get into the park) and also were quick to tell us where flashlights were when the power went out! Lots of nice little touches and a really great getaway weekend from the city. Thank you!

Beautiful oasis! Come to this beach cabin and relax. Enjoy the gorgeous scenery, Kayak, swim, or walk along the bay, and let your worries drift away. Located on Case Inlet's secluded Rocky Bay. This cabin is packed full of fun and amenities! 2 queen beds in the loft, plus a comfy queen sofa bed. Gas fireplace. TV monitor for Netflix, etc. Kayaks! A full kitchen & bath. Pets are welcome. Super friendly hosts that will answer any other questions. Call or text Linda at 253-405-5915 Thank you!
The cabin offers an open concept. It sleeps 6 very comfortably, but does not lend a lot of privacy. It has a nice convection oven/microwave, which accommodates a smaller pizza, but you can easily cook burgers, seafood, pizzas, etc. on the BBQ grill on the waterfront lower deck.
Very respectful neighbors who are rarely even there.
  • This was an absolutely amazing place to stay for a relaxing get away. The host provides so many great amenities. It is so beautiful and peaceful there. Can’t wait to be back again for another stay.

  • Gorgeous retreat house along the shore! We have enjoyed the views of the magnificent sun setting on the bay as we sat out on the deck. Sparkling clean, nice touches provided by the host, private home and charming area. Truly a wonderful place of peace for us.

  • This cabin is perfect! Very clean, cozy, and perfect for a little getaway. The kitchen had everything we needed for meals. Beds were comfy! And of course, being right on the water was so nice! So quiet and peaceful! We loved being able to bring our little fur baby with us as well! Just a note: the two beds are up in a loft. The staircase up to the loft is VERY steep, almost a ladder. Getting my 8-month-pregnant body up and down those stairs, especially to go to the bathroom a million times in the middle of the night... that was a little rough! So just keep that in mind with the needs of your group.

  • Absolutely beautiful setting, the pictures don't do it justice. Perfect house in that you can sit inside if it's cold or raining and feel apart of the scenery or take advantage of one of the two amazing decks.
