  • If you're going to a function at the Mansion at Natirar, Valerie's is the place to stay if you want easy access to a train station and the venue! The bed was super comfy and the space was exactly as I expected it. She even had a few bottles of water and snacks out, which was much appreciated. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm going to the Mansion.

  • My wife and I Stayed on first floor room with my two dogs with a private bathroom for one night while visiting family. Accommodations were as described and the dogs had full run of the fenced in back yard. Valerie was kind enough to let us check in early as well as making herself available at arrival. Most Excellent!

  • What a treat to stay at Valerie's comfortable home. It was so close to our equestrian event which meant no late nights driving to and from the event. Lovely restaurants (Gladstone Tavern) and pastry shop (Cocoluxe) just up the street. Valerie was accommodating, laid back and prompt in her responses. We were not there much, but a comfortable room to retreat after a long day. Thank you Valerie!

  • Harsh and Sarv are awesome. I had a lovely stay in their house and I I highly recommend it for whoever is planning to go to NJ. The house is beautiful, quiet place, so clean, the location is amazing (close to shopping mall, supermarkets, restaurants). Harsh and his wife Sarv were always ready to help and give suggestions. I had a wonderful time there. I hope to come back soon.

    Aline2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • The place is well-located, clean, spacious, comfortable, and quiet. We live out in the country, and at night we stillhave to put up with noise from our 55mph street and the dog up the road who barks through the night. At Harsh's place, it was peaceful and serene through the night, and the rooms are nice and spacious. Very relaxing, and highly recommended!

    Neil2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Harsh's place blew our expectations away! It's the bottom floor of a beautiful house, but there's plenty of privacy and minimal interaction necessary with the hosts (if you so choose). Thoughtful touches, super clean, and great value. We would definitely stay again.

    Garrett2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to get away from the big world and relax. Harsh and his wife are super friendly and beyond accommodating. Appreciate you going out of your way to get the fireplace working for us! Will definitely be back again.

    Camilla2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This house is the BEST. From the superior hospitality to the location, nothing was subpar. We would definitely recommend this house to anyone, and we would most assuredly stay again.

  • This is our second time staying with Milind and I can tell you that you will not find a host more deeply vested in the care and comfort of his guests. If you are looking for a warm and personable experience that feels more like staying with long-lost friends than at a hotel, do not hesitate to book.

    Corey-Jan2020-01-11T00:00:00Z
  • Milind is a great and friendly host who responded always pretty fast! The place is sparkling clean and quiet so that I had no problems to fall asleep.

  • Excellent stay and hosts - we will be back - thanks for the great accommodations and flexibility!

    Cathy2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I were in town for a wedding. Milind and Swati were outstanding hosts - we could not have asked for more. They were incredibly thoughtful, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. We would gladly stay here again, without hesitation. Their house was spotless, and our room was very comfortable. They made a clear effort to ensure that we felt at home during our stay. Their dog, Buddy, is also a great addition to an already great house. :-)

  • I had a wonderful one night stay here. The host is very kind and hospitable - provided everything I needed. His home is also quite nice. Highly recommend it!

    Damanjeet2019-12-13T00:00:00Z
  • Merrill is a great host. He goes out of way to accommodate your needs. This was his first Airbnb and he is still setting things up but he made sure that he asked me many times if I needed anything and that showed his attention to details. Room is big and spacious and has private bathroom. I would recommend his space more because of him being a great guy than his awesome place.

Our home sits on the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a friendly neighborhood with pleasant park-like walking paths along the main hill road. We are about 1/4 mile from a village center that has a few restaurants as well as a pharmacy. We have easy access to 2 major interstates (NYC is only 45 minutes East) as well as train stations, and nearby towns with many shops and dining options.
We have the perfect location for traveling any direction quickly. We are only 5 minutes away from 2 major interstates that access Northern or Southern NJ, as well as west to Pennsylvania and East to NYC. There are also train stations close by if you'd rather go to NYC without the hassle of driving. There is parking for one vehicle in our own driveway. Please do not park on the cul de sac.
We live in a development of homes built in the early 1990s. Our inner streets and cul-de-sacs are very quiet, and our neighbors are very friendly. Mostly, the people you will see out and about, are people walking their dogs, or just walking for the enjoyment.

Historic colonial home located centrally in New Jersey minutes away from major highways about a 40 minute ride from New York City. Public transportation within miles of the house. We are empty-nesters looking to fill our home with guests!
Our home is one of the five homes in New Jersey built by Thomas Edison the home is concrete and provides a very unique experience. Located on 2 acres of land there’s plenty of space outside if children were to come to play! We raise rabbits and chickens in the backyard and have a beautiful garden space outside with a fire pit and grill!
We live in a higher end neighborhood in New Jersey. Bridgewater Commons mall is within walking distance to the home there’s also a public library and multiple movie theaters! We are minutes away from downtown Somerville.
  • Hello I had a memorable time at the Edison house. I want to thank the hosts for their hospitality and hope to see you again 😊 Food – Water and all the kitchen appliances are available. Wow, you really cooked wonderful food 😊. I really enjoyed the vegetables with tomato sauce, orange cake, mint tea. So many fruits were also there and I enjoyed the mango. And the falafel I ate at your home was the tastiest I ever had in my life. Conversation – I really enjoyed talking to you about the different places we visited, and also I enjoyed watching TV & movies with you. Property - The property is very big and nice to take a stroll. As the house is far from the road, at night it is peaceful as there is less noise from cars driven on the road. Local area - Additionally, they have a good knowledge about the local area, so any body traveling first time to New Jersey can get lot of good tips.

Most of the residential real estate is owner occupied. Many of the residences in the Town Center neighborhood are older, well-established, built between 1940 and 1969. A number of residences were also built between 1970 and 1999. In Basking Ridge Town Center, the current vacancy rate is 2.6%, which is a lower rate of vacancies than 89.5% of all neighborhoods in the U.S. This means that the housing supply in Basking Ridge Town Center is very tight compared to the demand for property here. Notable & Unique Neighborhood Characteristics The way a neighborhood looks and feels when you walk or drive around it, from its setting, its buildings, and its flavor, can make all the difference. This neighborhood has some really cool things about the way it looks and feels as revealed by NeighborhoodScout's exclusive research. This might include anything from the housing stock to the types of households living here to how people get around. Notable & Unique: Diversity Did you know that the Basking Ridge Town Center neighborhood has more Irish and British ancestry people living in it than nearly any neighborhood in America? It's true! In fact, 30.8% of this neighborhood's residents have Irish ancestry and 2.0% have British ancestry. Basking Ridge Town Center is also pretty special linguistically. Significantly, 0.9% of its residents five years old and above primarily speak Gujarati, which is native to the Indian state of Gujarat, at home. This, along with the vibrant mix of very educated seniors and other age groups who choose to live here, makes the neighborhood more retiree-friendly than 97.5% of neighborhoods in NJ. If a New Jersey retirement is in your future, this neighborhood should be one of the places you visit. In addition to being an excellent choice for active retirees, this neighborhood is also a very good choice for urban sophisticates, highly educated executives and families with school-aged children. In addition, if you come to know the people here, you will recognize that you're in the company of one of the wealthiest communities in the nation. In fact, a mere 3.0% of America's neighborhoods are wealthier than the Basking Ridge Town Center neighborhood. Real estate here is exceedingly well-maintained, and similarly, tends to maintain its value over time. The cars driven are mostly luxury brands like Mercedes, Audi, BMW, and Lexus. If the public schools aren't up to snuff, the residents of this neighborhood preferentially send their children to private preparatory schools. Vacation to Disney? Yes, but equally popular are summers in Europe. Also, do you like to read, write, and learn? Are you curious about the world? If so, this neighborhood may be a good fit for you. NeighborhoodScout's research revealed that a full 69.5% of the adults living in the Basking Ridge Town Center neighborhood have earned at least a bachelor's degree. When you walk or drive around this neighborhood, you'll instantly notice the size of the homes here which definitely makes a strong visual statement. The Neighbors The Neighbors: Income There are two complementary measures for understanding the income of a neighborhood's residents: the average and the extremes. While a neighborhood may be relatively wealthy overall, it is equally important to understand the rate of people - particularly children - who are living at or below the federal poverty line, which is extremely low income. Some neighborhoods with a lower average income may actually have a lower childhood poverty rate than another with a higher average income, and this helps us understand the conditions and character of a neighborhood. The neighbors in the Town Center neighborhood in Basking Ridge are wealthy, making it among the 15% highest income neighborhoods in America. NeighborhoodScout's exclusive analysis reveals that this neighborhood has a higher income than 97.0% of the neighborhoods in America. In addition, 2.5% of the children seventeen and under living in this neighborhood are living below the federal poverty line, which is a lower rate of childhood poverty than is found in 84.8% of America's neighborhoods. The Neighbors: Occupations What we choose to do for a living reflects who we are. Each neighborhood has a different mix of occupations represented, and together these tell you about the neighborhood and help you understand if this neighborhood may fit your lifestyle. In the Basking Ridge Town Center neighborhood, 63.5% of the working population is employed in executive, management, and professional occupations. The second most important occupational group in this neighborhood is sales and service jobs, from major sales accounts, to working in fast food restaurants, with 23.5% of the residents employed. Other residents here are employed in clerical, assistant, and tech support occupations (8.2%), and 4.8% in manufacturing and laborer occupations. The Neighbors: Ethnicity / Ancestry Culture is shared learned behavior. We learn it from our parents, their parents, our houses of worship, and much of our culture – our learned behavior – comes from our ancestors. That is why ancestry and ethnicity can be so interesting and important to understand: places with concentrations of people of one or more ancestries often express those shared learned behaviors and this gives each neighborhood its own culture. Even different neighborhoods in the same city can have drastically different cultures. In the Town Center neighborhood in Basking Ridge, NJ, residents most commonly identify their ethnicity or ancestry as Irish (30.8%). There are also a number of people of Italian ancestry (20.4%), and residents who report German roots (17.7%), and some of the residents are also of English ancestry (9.4%), along with some Asian ancestry residents (6.2%), among others. In addition, 13.0% of the residents of this neighborhood were born in another country. The Neighbors: Languages The languages spoken by people in this neighborhood are diverse. These are tabulated as the languages people preferentially speak when they are at home with their families. The most common language spoken in the Basking Ridge Town Center neighborhood is English, spoken by 85.7% of households. Other important languages spoken here include Spanish and South Asian languages. Getting to Work How you get to work – car, bus, train or other means – and how much of your day it takes to do so is a large quality of life and financial issue. Especially with gasoline prices rising and expected to continue doing so, the length and means of one's commute can be a financial burden. Some neighborhoods are physically located so that many residents have to drive in their own car, others are set up so many walk to work, or can take a train, bus, or bike. The greatest number of commuters in Basking Ridge Town Center neighborhood spend between 15 and 30 minutes commuting one-way to work (33.8% of working residents), which is shorter than the time spent commuting to work for most Americans. Here most residents (88.0%) drive alone in a private automobile to get to work. In addition, quite a number also take the train to get to work (5.2%) . In a neighborhood like this, as in most of the nation, many residents find owning a car useful for getting to work.

  • As other reviewers have noted, this is a really great place to stay. Though proximity to was the primary driver for staying, the cleanliness and amenities were far beyond expectations. I will without any hesitation check for availability for my semi-quarterly visits into Basking Ridge.

Enjoy this unique opportunity to stay in a one bedroom suite of a 1776 farmhouse on a working horse farm. Wake up in the morning to horses grazing just outside your window. Your space retains the original charm of the wood ceilings and wide plank hardwood floors. The bedroom is bright and sunny with garden views. Comes with a private entrance, full bathroom with shower, mini fridge, keurig, and microwave for your convenience.
The scenic and charming Main Streets of Somerville and Whitehouse Station are only a short drive away, offering many dining and entertaining options. That said, your neighbors at the farm are horses, some wild turkeys, and down the street cows. We are on a beautiful dirt road, perfect for hikes. Down the road is a lovely stream. There are also many quality golf courses a short drive away.
  • If you are searching a retreat from the city life and want to enjoy the wildlife this is a great spot! We saw so many deer on the property! We saw fox, opossums and of course the all horses on the property!!! There is plenty of bird watching. I will definitely be back!

  • Caitlin's place really worked well for me and my dogs while I was moving. The price is very reasonable and there were nice areas to walk in a beautiful setting. Cailtin's description is very accurate and she lets you know that the Suite is adjacent to a family who lives in the main house. You can hear children while sitting in the living area and above you in the "kitchenette", but the back bedroom has no one above or next to you and its quiet. I found this room to be charming and peaceful and it had central air which was great during a bit of a heat wave in September. Caitlin was very accommodating and was an efficient host.

    Jeanmarie2019-10-02T00:00:00Z
  • Caitlin was very prompt in all her correspondence with me. The house had even more charm than I had imagined, with its old fireplaces and original floorboards. It was also set back from the main road quite a bit so it was very peaceful.

    Lauren2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful stay! The space was very charming and cozy.

    Nathan2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful and relaxing time here. The private suite was perfect for our little getaway. Caitlin doesn't live on the property, but she was very responsive to our messages! The upstairs tenants who live above the suite with their dog were polite (only saw them once outside). It was also so neat to see that Caitlin posted an "Airbnb parking" sign for guests. We did enjoy going to the Farmer and the Chickpea for breakfast (groupon), shopping, and relaxing outside on the chairs watching horses. We look forward to coming back again.

    Stephen2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Staying in a historic property at Someday Stables was a cool experience. Waking up to active riding in the ring, walking our dog past the waterfall, seeing horses grazing in the morning - a gorgeous property in a great central location. We saw turkey, fox, possum, an owl, and deer during our visit. A great spot to feel away from it all with the convenience of close proximity to so much, and a great value for what you get!

    Chris2019-08-08T00:00:00Z
  • Caitlin's place is awesome! It has a ton of space and lots of character in not only the living area but outside too. My wife loved walking the property and our puppy met a few horses for the first time! It is an exceptionally quiet, peacefully, and easy place to spend a few nights out of town.

    Brian2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • I made my decision to book this beautiful farm house based on a much needed weekend of relaxation and solitude. It was exactly what I expected it to be. Original architecture and rustic decore. A beautiful pond with a nice field to sit and admire either the horses across the path or the pond itself. It was the perfect place to practice yoga and enjoy the nature. It is located about 30 minutes from Westfield, containing cute shopping and great restaurants. I drove to town to visit friends and get a delicious açaí bowl at Soul Bowl. Caitlin was very responsive with all messages. She was also for receptive to me receiving a delivery to her property due to medical reasons. I really enjoyed my stay. I would definitely book again.

  • Went for New Years and was out most of the time sight seeing. Everything was kept nice and clean and although I didn’t get to meet Rooslan personally, he did respond rather quickly. Only thing was that I got the wrong passcode for the door, so if it wasn’t for someone in the house opening it for us randomly because they were heading out we would have been stuck outside for a bit.

Beautiful area, very close to all major Bridgewater Pharma companies. Towels, hand soap, tissues, paper towels, toilet paper, paper plates and plastic forks are all included. Kitchen access is not included, but the room has a mini fridge with separate freezer, a Breville microwave, and a new toaster oven. Shoes must be removed at front door before stepping onto the carpet. There is a bench to sit on right inside the front door, so you will have a good place to take off your shoes.
Microwave, toaster oven, fridge included in room. Tenants cannot cook in my kitchen.
Beautiful mountain area with lots of stuff nearby.
  • Ron’s place is conveniently located right off of Rte. 206 however the large guest bedroom is in the back of the house so traffic noise is negligible. The recently renovated bathroom is small but has all of the personal care amenities you need. The bedroom has a couch, desk, microwave, toaster oven and refrigerator if needed.

  • I enjoyed my stay with Ron very much. His place is clean and the bedroom was large and comfortably furnished. The bathroom had just been remodeled so basically a brand new bathroom! • Lan and Jason are so thoughtful and kind. We were greeted with warmth and smiles. We felt safe and comfortable. Their home is elegantly beautiful yet welcoming. Our room was spacious with beautiful furnishings and lots of storage for our belongings. The bed and bath linens are of top quality. The home is immaculate and well maintained. We look forward to our next visit. On a scale of 1-5, this was a 5 plus experience! We would change nothing.

    Ray2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Owners are very friendly and keep the house very clean. The location is very quiet at night but not too quiet as the surrounding has a lot of wildlife and is great for if you are tired of city noises or traffic and would rather wake up to the sounds of birds. The owners also cook dinner but just let them know in advance if you wish to dine with them and it is definitely cheaper then eating out and great if you don't like cooking that much.

Welcome to old style beauty with a Mediterranean twist. Relax & unwind with serene water views, fireplace, patio & deck. Private bed, 2 full baths, access to large open living room(s), kitchen and free parking. Minutes to local shops, Verizon Corporate, Morristown Medical Center, train station, restaurants, arts & fitness. Convenient and close to all major hwys, airports, universities, business parks...great location!
My place feels like "Home Away From Home" with a relaxing atmosphere. The house was built in 1906 and has that old style charm and solid feel. Sometimes the floor squeaks or the radiator pings, but it reminds me of a New England style home where I grew up. I love the location, parks (right out the back door), down town, hiking, restaurants, the best of everything is close by. Major highways & transportation near by. The back deck is a nice place to get some sun or chill out, you can see the lake from the back of the house, deck & patio. It's charming, casual and a great place to stay on your visit.
My neighborhood is quiet and safe, I am on a main road so there is traffic during commuter times. My back yard leads to a park, we are near the public pool for summer swimming, whole food markets, yoga & jin jitsu, hiking, biking and minutes to downtown restaurants, bars, events, movie theaters, fitness and wellness centers. There are fabulous hiking and biking trails all in the area for you to enjoy.

  • This house was at a perfect location. If I stay in the Bridgewater township again, I will check for Rooslan's place. Access to the main highways was perfect and very close to a nice downtown area. The house was clean, and basic amenities were provided. This is as an older house in a historic style neighborhood, so the beautiful wooden floors do creak, slightly. So I would not recommend this place to stay, if you are a night owl. Rooslan was good about communicating directly with me to ensure that my access was easy, my stay was pleasing, and if I needed any assistance.

Welcome to The Magnolias! Your private suite is in a 160 year old Victorian farmhouse that was formerly in operation as a two family home. In the heart of historic Liberty Corner, you are about 35 miles from NYC and 4 miles to the nearest train station (NJ Transit). Town and country! The main bedroom has a closet and en suite bath. The second bedroom can be used as a sitting area or small guest room. The unit overlooks a park like property replete with the namesake magnolias.
The private entrance opens to a kitchen space with fridge/freezer, oven, and stove. Your bedrooms are up a short flight of stairs. There is no separate door to the main bedroom, just to the unit itself. There is a door to the second bedroom (which is off the first). This is a no smoking property. Please respect the quiet hours of 10pm-7am. Please inquire about pets or use of outdoor space. No outside visitors.
Liberty Corner is a quaint sub-section of Basking Ridge (Bernards Township, NJ). The Magnolias is within walking distance of a wonderful cafe, a pizzeria, a convenience store, a post office, and a farm stand.

First of all, Liberty Corner is a small quiet and family neighborhood where life is good. There are 2 steps from the house: an excellent restaurant called "Foccaceria", a small grocery store run by an adorable seller, a small beauty salon run by Michelle where you are treated like a queen, a pizzeria, a laundry , a service station, and a post office. Regarding the apartment, it is an independent studio equipped with Wi-Fi located in the extension of the family house. On the ground floor, there is an entrance porch, an equipped kitchen (fridge, oven, hob, etc.) upstairs, a spacious bedroom with storage, a small bathroom, then a second room used as a guest bedroom with a small desk to be able to work in peace. The apartment was fully functional for a stay of 2 months and I had no problem with space. I would say that the only downside for long stays is that there is no TV (and again, that's a detail!), But also that we do not have access to the heating controls which is common to the whole house, so you have to constantly ask the owners if you want to adjust the temperature (winter ... it's very very cold in the region !!!) it's a bit annoying too but again nothing very disturbing since it is the heating system that wants that. Finally, the hosts were helpful, smiling, friendly, and very responsive. For me who came to the USA to do a 3 month internship away from my family, they were like parents to me and I want to thank them again from the bottom of my heart and hope to meet them one day in my home in the South of France maybe ... who knows?

  • Nice change from typical hotel, this farmhouse in a quaint setting. Tina helped with kitchen appliances. Easy parking. Private and quiet. Good internet. Pleasant family setting on 1-2 acres. Four miles to shopping with good Thai restaurant. Avoid restaurant across street...poor food. Small market 1/2 block away. Growing up as a farm kid, I liked Tina’s place a lot.

  • Perfect place to stay if you have a function at Natirar. Clean, comfortable and convenient.

    Kenneth2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a nice stay here for work and meetings in the area. Totally private and the owners provided an iron & ironing board. It was convenient to where I had to go. Good amenities for preparing food if necessary. Finding the driveway may be little challenging if arriving in the dark and there are steps to access the bedroom & bath. I enjoyed my stay.

  • Truly a beautiful place. My daughter and I had a wonderful time. Great location, which worked perfect for us. Meghan was so responsive and accommodating, checking in after we arrived and as we left. Would love to come back!

    Charlotte2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed for 5 weeks at Meghan's 1-bed-1-bath guesthouse. It is located in a farm just South of Morristown, near I-287. The place is just the right size for the two of us, even for the extended stay. The bedroom is particularly nice, with a nice view and an excellent bed. The small living room has an L-shaped pull-out couch, which was handy when our son and girlfriend stayed over one night. We appreciated the smart TV with a paid Sling subscription. The place was spotless when we checked in. The kitchen had the basics -- salt, pepper, coffee and other items. Meghan is very responsive and attentive. As for the location, it is "country living"; it is peaceful and quiet, but you do need to get in your car to get to places. All in all, the place worked well for us. We were there in November-December. It would be even nicer in warmer weather. If we are back in the area for an extended visit, we will definitely consider going back. Thanks Meghan!

  • Excellent place to stay. Meghan is wonderful, the place is as described and better. Quite, clean and private in a great spot for our needs. I will make this my first choice anytime I’m in the area and need a place to stay.

  • Meghan was an attentive and friendly host. During our stay, she checked to make sure we had what we needed. Her suite was very comfortable. The large bedroom had a smart thermostat that allowed us to manage the indoor temperature. We were able to accommodate our baby in our own pack-n-play in this suite. We especially loved the view we had looking out from the windows - beautiful and wide-open lawns, a little forest, and some planters. We even spotted a few deer in a couple early evenings. It was a memorable delight for us! And the brightly-lit kitchen was well-equipped so that we were able to cook several family meals for ourselves there, not to mention how helpful the Keurig coffee machine was in the morning!

  • John’s place is very open, inviting and relaxing. Definitely a place I would go to to get away from it all and relax while still being in central New Jersey. it’s a beautiful retreat in a town that is very welcoming to people visiting! John’s place is suitable for long term and short term stays and is set up very well for both.

  • Kate’s unit was just what we needed for our annual Christmas visit with nearby friends and family, allowing us to bring our dog along. This downstairs unit is spacious and clean. Ceilings are a bit low and we wished the bed were larger than a full, but we’re not that tall. ;) Beautiful back yard. Stocked Keurig coffee was a great bonus, as was the pool table with a complete set. Communication was always prompt and courteous. An excellent value and highly recommended.

  • Great hosts. very clean place. Was greeted by host upon arrival and they made sure everything was okay. The place exceeded my expectations. Kate and her husband were very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located to stores and close enough to NYC. definitely would recommend and will stay there over my next visit.

    Sam2019-12-24T00:00:00Z
  • Kate was very accommodating and provided exactly what I needed for stress- free toddler travel. The living room/dining space was such a cozy place to hang out and there was tons of natural light thanks to the glass doors. I would definitely stay here again when visiting in this area.

    Jil2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Kate and her space were great! Check in couldn’t have been easier, she was quick to respond to any questions, and the house is conveniently located.

  • Very clean and homey place to stay! Kate provided brochures and maps of interesting places to visit as well as local restaurants. We loved the tranquil rural location surrounded by nature preserves. We escaped to the area to enjoy fall foliage and explore some place new and enjoyed it so much we want to make a return trip and stay again at Kate's!

    Bonnie2019-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice space! Very large one bedroom. Plenty of room on couch for extra sleeping space. Pool table! Kate left out board games for the kids, which was a nice touch! Comfortable and quiet!

    Paula2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place! Very clean and had everything we needed. It is in the basement of the house, but not completely underground because the house is on a slope. They have big floor-to-ceiling windows that make up most of the back wall, and it's just backyard and woods behind them so lots of privacy. Location is decent; it's kind of out there but still 15-20 minutes from Morristown or Ledgewood in either direction, and 10 minutes or less from grocery store and restaurants. The hosts were lovely and I VERY much appreciate the last-minute rental (we only booked a day in advance!)

A former iron forge (blacksmith shop) built in 1791 and converted into a home in the early 1950's. This quaint stone home abuts the South Branch of the Raritan River. Exterior features a patio outside the back door and a large riverside deck for outdoor dining and relaxation. Great room/living/dining room with large fireplace. Kitchen with modern appliances. Each bedroom has a private full bath. Towels and sheets included. Great for entertaining - board games and outdoor ping pong included.
Sitting on the deck along the trout-stocked river is relaxing and peaceful. Open the windows and enjoy the sound and breeze from the river. The home has a "great room" with cathedral ceiling and a very large fireplace with a fully exposed stone wall. The kitchen is modern without detracting from the home's charm. Great attention has been paid to the landscaping as well with many gardens on the property. There is also a large bamboo grove on the 2.5 acres.
The home abuts the South Branch of the Raritan River which is stocked with trout. I have fishing poles available. The yard has lots of outdoor seating including a patio and seating on the deck alongside the river. Neighboring properties include a home on the foundation of a sawmill and the stone homes that the blacksmith and mill families lived in. The home offers nice privacy.
  • We always try for a unique space when we Airbnb and the Forge was perfection. Not only was it one of a kind Stephen created a comfortable oasis that you can truly settle into. The location makes it easy to get out and adventure but it’s so cozy that it’s just as nice staying in. I wish we had been there longer and can’t wait to try it out in the warmer months!

  • Stephen's place is on a beautiful piece of property with a gorgeous historical house. It would be difficult not to enjoy your stay here! On a personal level, Stephen was an excellent host and helped my husband and I navigate our first airbnb experience. He was extremely helpful and accommodating. We both highly recommend him and the house!

    Carol2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • A wonderful space on an idyllic river. The views from the garden are superb, the space very cosy with a lovely fireplace and a very homely feel. A shrine to The Beatles made us feel right at home as Brits. Some fun local activities (Apple picking at Riamede or Alstead farms) and nice autumn walks. We were sad to leave, and excited to return!
