Tastefully renovated older mobile home, very clean and bright! Outside yard with gas grill and fire pit, wood included. Pet friendly with enclosed outside area for small/medium dogs right off the back porch. Washer/Dryer and fully stocked kitchen.
We purchased this older mobile home from a dear long time neighbor, hence the name, and renovated it in 2015. We did all the work ourselves so while not a professional remodel we are quite proud of it! It is a great place to kick back and relax and we think it is very comfortable. It has three bedrooms and the master has a memory foam queen mattress bed. The two smaller bedrooms have smaller single beds that are still quite comfortable. One of the smaller bedrooms also has a computer desk with an office chair and power/USB charging ports. High speed Wi-Fi is included with a Smart TV with excellent sound. There is no cable or broadcast TV although there is Netflix, etc. through the Smart TV and an Apple TV and a Chromecast for use. Decently stocked kitchen and feel free to use anything in the cupboards/frig for your meals/cooking, Keurig coffee maker.
Smaller street in a residential neighborhood that is a 5 minute walk to downtown Brandon. There you can enjoy food offerings ranging from pizza to French cuisine, a downtown pub, or a pastry at a great French bakery. The Green Mountain National Forest, Brandon Gap and the Long Trail are less than ten miles away.
  • Lovely hosts and a great location to do some exploring around Vermont!

  • We had such a wonderful time on our trip this house was a delight. Incredibly clean, the hosts added thoughtful touches and we’re quick at responding. Would 100% stay again!

  • Awesome host! We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Tom and Alisa’s place if you’re in the area.

    Patricia2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We only stayed one night for a more business-oriented trip, but this WAS a cute hideaway and would have been fun to stay and enjoy Brandon, the cute backyard, etc. Alas, it was winter, but we had a very cozy night of restful sleep in a clean place complete with thoughtful local baked goods. Would stay again! Also, places to eat and shop are available, but we opted to travel 25 min to the Shoreham Inn and Pub for dinner and it was worth it :-)

    Jennifer2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a great stop, wish I could have stayed another night. The place was really close to town and near anything you need. Everything was clean and the beds were comfy. Couldn’t ask for anything more.

    Michael2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had an extended stay at Tom’s place and we couldn’t have been more comfortable. Spacious, warm, and with a useful outdoor area for a pet. Perfect proximity to Brandon town as well getting north or south on the main highway. Tom was quick to answer any questions. Would stay again next time we are in Vermont without a doubt.

  • Beautiful home full of charm. The fire pit was the perfect amenity for our weekend. We hope to return again someday.

  • Stacey's place is very nice. It has more than enough space and a beautiful yard. She offered us a tour of her art studio which was also a plus! We really were able to unplug and relax from the busy work week!

    Kayla2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great host, beautiful setting. Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area

    Mark2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Stacey's Orwell, VT home-- the house was roomy and very clean. An abundantly stocked kitchen, made our eating and prepping experience very easy-- Love all the pottery (made by Stacey) that was also part of the function and decor of the house. Lots of towels too, available in the bathroom. We were a party of 5 and there were loads extra. We dabbled with the many available games in the house. The house is on a most lovely setting! The yard is fantastic- lots of open space, beautiful landscape - we used the fire pit for two nights and it was really fun. The sunsets were striking too as we transitioned from dusk to night. We brought our dog with and it was very safe in the backyard-- big enough to explore and go in and out of the house as the dog desired. We visited the general store in the town ( around the corner) daily for food supplies. The house is on a main route, with some constant travel: even with open windows ( no AC) and the fans on, we could not hear any noise of cars and trucks throughout the night. Slept like a baby! See if you can pop into Stacey's studio to look at unique pottery designs she makes. We came home with a stunning bowl. Stacey's home definitely met our desire to experience a R&R getaway. I would wholeheartedly recommend you experience this getaway home for yourself.

This adorable rustic cabin sleeps 4, and has many extra amenities. Lake, pool, and community house with ping-pong, library, board games, and pool table. Kayak and canoe, and glorious hiking in the Green Mountain National Forest.
HOW TO AIRBNB: • Kindly read entire listing and the House Rules. • Complete your Airbnb profile (including photo). This cabin, one of nine in this small community retreat, is 100 yards from the lakefront with a private dock. The cabin has two bedrooms - 1 double bed and 2 twins. (The cabin will be entirely yours, the pool and lake areas are shared with the guests of the other cabins.) Full kitchen with stove/oven, coffee pot, toaster, and seating for 4, plus 2 armchairs. Kitchen has recently been updated with brand new "tiny house" fridge/freezer, butcher-block countertop, and new sink and faucet. Provided: tableware, pots and pans, and all the basic tools you'd need to make a great meal. Also coffee, creamer, sugar, some spices, olive oil, vinegar. We now have wi-fi and pretty good cell service! Our cabin is 3 season, UNHEATED. We close up in the fall and re-open in mid- May. Vermont weather in early spring/fall can be fickle. Meaning it's cold! We bring extra blankets! :-) During hot weather, there are 2 table fans provided for air circulation. This cabin has lake access to the 3-mile, beautiful Lake Dunmore. Nestled on the edge of the Green Mountain National Forest, down the road is the Branbury State Park. Copious hiking trails! Also, the cabin is just a few minutes from the lovely village of Brandon, the town of Middlebury, VT and a pleasant hour drive to Burlington, VT. Parking is right outside the front door - there is room for 1 car on the front lawn near the picnic table. Extra parking, for additional cars or if you have visitors drop by during the day, is just a few yards away. There is a clean convenient laundromat just down the road, at the north end of the lake. We are LGBTQ friendly. We do NOT discriminate against anyone- we welcome all races, ethnicities, gender identities, you name it. If you're kind, you can stay here.
The closest convenience stores: Country Store and Deli, 1457 Lake Dunmore Rd, Salisbury, VT 05769 Forest Dale Grocery and Deli, Furnace Rd, Forest Dale, VT 05745 There is also a Hannaford supermarket in downtown Brandon. A few good spots to eat: In Brandon: Cafe Provence- our favorite Mae’s Place- Main St. We like it. Sit outside. It is casual, and far from speedy, but it is friendly. And Brandon House of Pizza is good There's a restaurant and soft-serve place at the North end of the Lake that's decent, nothing fancy. That's the closest eatery to the cabin. They have more flavors of soft serve than I've ever seen. Closed after Labor Day. It's not Manhattan! :-) You can also venture down to Middlebury. 20 minute drive. My favorite place in the world. Restaurants in Middlebury: Rosie's Diner 2 Brothers Tavern Mr. Up's Otter Creek Brewing- great beer, and they have a pub/restaurant The Marbleworks - a conglomeration of stores, etc. Every place to eat in here is good, and it's a nice to walk around and see the waterfalls. Enjoy!!!
  • We have been coming to Laura’s cabin for years now and will keep coming back because it is such a perfect little spot. • Yinglei's place was exactly what I needed for a short weekend snowboarding trip. Great hospitality and good amenities at a very affordable rate. She was also graciously accommodating when I was delayed and had quite the late-night arrival. The next day, looking outside the windows at all the fresh snow in the forest was just exceptional. I wish I had more time to stay and enjoy the place. Highly recommended!

Get away from it all at this quaint log cabin on the beautiful Sunset Lake in Benson VT. MAIN CABIN AVAILABLE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS
This is truly an escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Two true log cabins set on 2.5 acres of land sitting directly on one of the most serene lakes in Vermont. Sit back, kick up your feet and enjoy your morning coffee as the sun makes its grand entrance cresting languidly over the lake or a glass of wine as the sun melts like molten gold into the lake. Most assuredly a transcendent experience as you take in the vast expanse of the lake with the elevated tree ridge as a backdrop, a view that is simply unparalleled (but we are biased). The lake is stocked with trout and you can go fishing during the warmer months. Have your pick: this lake allows for both motorized and non motorized boating on the lake. The water is clean and clear; you can go swimming in water so clear you can see your toes. Truly a place to unwind from it all. Tucked away on Lake Sunset, off of a private road, this place is the perfect get away from life's hustle and bustle. Unassuming from the outside, when you get into the cabins you are blown away by the rustic appearance of it all and the comfort of everything. There are 2 cabins and a boat house. The Bunkhouse has 4 twin-sized bunk beds where you can tuck away the kids while you hang out in the main cabin ( or can host 4 adults) which has 2 bedrooms with full sized beds. Both cabins are self contained with kitchen, full bath (main cabin) and a toilet and shower stall in the bunk house, wood stove in the bunk house and large fireplace in the main cabin. The price includes rental of the main cabin. For an additional $50 you can also rent the bunk house. Available to answer questions as needed. Close to Outlet shopping, including Manchester Outlet Shops 10 mins from Shale Hill Adventure Farm-World's Best Obstacle Course race and training facility (10k permanent obstacle course). APPLE PICKING: 20 minutes at CHAMPLAIN ORCHIDS in Shoreham VT Best restaurants: Fair Haven Inn 5 Adams Street; Ask for Suzie; The Wheel Inn (just 10 mins away-ask for Cat she's amazing); or Cattails Restaurant which is about half hour away (get the Captain's Platter if you like seafood). You will need your own car to move around. Amtrak Train Station is about 20 mins away. Wifi is available in the main cabin. You can also get wifi in the bunkhouse but it' spotty. Cell phone service is also spotty. Available now to rent during the winter (we have installed a heating system in the main cabin)-must rent for at least one week-applies during the winter only. Bunkhouse would not be available during the winter. It’s not winterized. NOTE: We have well water which is filtered and potable. However you may want to bring drinking water if you wish because there is sulfur in the water.
Within 1 hour of Killington Ski Resort, Pico Ski Resort and Okemo Ski Resort. Main cabin available to rent during the winter-must rent for at least 1 week during the winter. Bunkhouse not available during winter only main cabin. Additionally you may want to visit the Shelburne Museum for a fun time.. also Fort Ticonderoga and Fort William Henry.. For hiking Pond Woods is within walking distance from the cabins.
  • Absolutely a cozy cabin , on a beautiful and peaceful lake. There was ample space for our group of 4 in the main cabin, with an amazing living room with a large fireplace and views of the lake. When the fireplace was not in use, the heating system was more than sufficient to keep the whole cabin warm. The place provides all the necessary amenities and Sharon is very quick to reach out and respond, and I am glad she provides such a lovely place to stay at!

  • What a lovely rustic, yet elegant, cabin on a clear, quiet lake! The many antique touches in this one of a kind cabin made it very cozy and inviting. Sharon’s communication was outstanding at every step, from the initial booking and throughout our stay. She always responded positively and was very welcoming. The kayaks were light and easily accessible. Everything was sparkling clean and the kitchen was well stocked. Be sure to bring along some firewood to enjoy in the stone fireplace every evening!

    Susan2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is my third year in a row staying at Sharon’s cabin. It is the perfect getaway from the world. The cabin is spacious and beautiful, set right on the lake. The place was clean and well equipped with for a week away. Sharon is easy to communicate with and has been a pleasure to rent from these past three years. A true hideaway for a week of relaxation and recharging. There’s a reason we keep coming back!

    Shannon2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time renting this cabin and I have no doubts that renting it will become a yearly tradition. The cabin is clean, spacious and perfectly rustic. My husband and I come here to do nothing but relax! We soak up the sun on the desk, float or cruise in the kayak and rest by the fire at night. Sharon is truly lucky to be a cabin owner on Sunset Lake and I'm so thankful she shares a piece of heaven on earth with strangers like me!

    Jess2019-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is beautiful, cozy, charming, welcoming, and just the perfect place for a get away from the city! And with a beautiful view across a lake. Sharon was so helpful in making the arrangements, despite hiccups on our end. Communication was very easy, Sharon was super responsive, making sure that we had everything we needed. Arrival was smooth. There were all the amenities we needed for a group of 7. We kept very warm over New Year’s, especially with the great fireplace, and a perfect spot to celebrate in the country!

    Luqman2019-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Sharon’s cabin is clean, quiet, and relaxing. The kayaks and canoe made our time on Sunset Lake perfect and a fire in the fireplace was a nice touch on rainy day. Sharon’s communications were prompt and informative. All in all, I would highly recommend Sharon’s cabin!

Located at the junction of the Green Mountains and the Champlain Valley, this quiet space sits on 70 forested acres. A quick drive to Brandon, Middlebury College, Lake Dunmore, and the Green Mountain National Forest, this is the perfect home base. Enjoy nature in this secluded space and discover what Addison County has to offer from an easy to access location. Explore nearby lakes and plenty of trails, and events and culture are just down the road.
Spring and summer in Vermont are truly glorious. The cabin was built as a hunting camp by a logging firm that harvested timber here. We have built our home on the property and updated the cabin with plenty of amenities. The cabin is a nice balance of rustic, cozy, and comfortable, and we take pride in the beauty of this place.
Plenty to do nearby! Rutland and Middlebury Farmers' Markets, Wood's Garden Market, Champlain and Douglas Orchards, Falls of Lana, Silver Lake, Branbury State Park, Goshen Dam, shops and restaurants in Middlebury and Brandon, Rutland's Paramount Theater, Cattails Restaurant, Texas Falls, Route 100 Scenic Highway, Mount Independence Historic Site and Fort Ticonderoga, rivers and mountains galore! Still a working forest, the property is home to a plethora of wildlife, hosting two beaver dams and a designated deer wintering area. There are some trails here on the property, and plenty of outdoor space for you to enjoy. Enjoy colorful sunsets as herons, ducks, and geese fly in for the evening, or spend the evening out in the cultural centers of Brandon or Middlebury. Bring, rent or borrow a boat and spend the day at nearby Lake Dunmore, Fern Lake, or Sugar Hill Reservoir; make the stunning 1 hour drive up to Burlington for the day for cool shops and great restaurants; or pick fresh Vermont fruits and berries with views of Lake Champlain. The Moosalamoo Recreation area is right in our backyard. There is so much to do around here, you may not want to leave!
  • We had the most wonderful time at the cabin! Mark and Catie are fantastic hosts who gave us really great directions for finding them, which we did easily. The location is incredibly peaceful, and we loved seeing the chickens outside the cabin! The cabin is so cosy and sparkling clean, the beds were super comfortable and the kitchen had all the facilities we needed to cook a lovely dinner. The fireplace made the cabin very warm and relaxing too. We really enjoyed the fresh eggs for breakfast, and the maple syrup left in the kitchen for us was delicious. I couldn’t rate our stay more highly - I would return in a heartbeat!

    Anna2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was cozy and clean and near a lot of great hiking trails. The hosts left plenty of information about stuff to do locally and were very helpful!

    Hayley2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect cabin in the woods. It was our first time using the grill and we had no idea what we were doing, but our lovely hosts helped us get the fire going. Chicken came out great btw. Beautiful clean kitchen, spotless bathroom, trendy and homey feeling. The bed was soooo comfortable. Super clean, super private and quiet. Best sleep we've had in a LONG time. They also provided us with a list of places to see and do nearby. Loved this place, will come back!

    Tania2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend. Mark and Catie are exceptional hosts and quick to respond. My friends and I had a wonderful time staying at the cabin during our ski trip. The fresh eggs and nice touches within the cabin were fantastic. We can’t wait to visit again soon. Must stay cabin!

    Robert2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our second stay and it was just as great as the first time! This time we had time to walk the trails and visit Mark in his sugarhouse. The thoughtful touches such as the eggs and syrup were much appreciated. We can’t wait to plan our next getaway!

  • We really had a nice stay at Tom’s place. It was comfortable and clean. The location is beautiful. We did a little Astro photography off the dock. Would recommend.

    Lisa2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • My room was clean and comfortable. Wonderful view of the lake, especially at dawn and dusk. The space is fairly open so you might hear a little bit of noise from upstairs, where the hosts live. Notice that the shower stall can be accessed from both basement guest bathrooms, so it might be worth coordinating with the people next door to avoid a needless wait or an awkward situation. Would definitely stay there again - thanks Tom!

  • Gina was a very helpful and flexible host. We communicated with her numerous times before our stay as our plans changed, and she worked with us to make our stay fit our family’s needs. While this made extra work for her, she was cheerful and helpful throughout our interactions. Gina’s cottage is cute and quirky. From the funky chicken dining table to the handcrafted bathroom sink faucets, everything in the house has a unique touch. We cooked Christmas dinner in the house, and found the kitchen to be clean and very well stocked. Beds were comfortable. Clean new towels were provided. We were warm and comfy. The bathroom was clean and really pretty. There were lots of little touches that show the host put lots of care into providing an interesting and enjoyable experience.

The Peabody house is cozy farm house on a working sheep farm in Pittsford. We are just north of Rutland and south of historic Brandon, 35 minutes from the Killington ski area and 40 minutes from Middlebury College. Come visit beautiful Vermont.
This space is the original house built in the 1820's by Remembrance Hitchcock. It has two bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen and bath. Original door thumb latches, wide board floors and hand-planed boards are all features of the home. Our adjoining section of the house was added later by Joseph Peabody in the 1850s and became his woolen goods workshop and store. Sheep are still on the property today.
Pittsford is a nice community in between historic Brandon and Rutland. We have a great recreation area with a trail system and a swimming area with a lifeguard during the summer. We have a pass that allows you to use the facility. We are especially known for our 4 covered bridges.
  • Wonderful cozy old farm. Very comfortable

  • Jim & Liz’s Airbnb was wonderful! Their home has so much history and is full of character. We were in Vermont for a wedding at the Mountaintop Inn & Resort and the bnb was a really convenient location for us. We loved the extra touches such as the farm fresh eggs and creamer from the local dairy down the road. Watching the snow fall out the windows as we sipped our coffee each morning was one of my favorite parts. We also REALLY appreciated the pack-n-play and highchair provided for our little guy and the white noise machines in the bedrooms helped him sleep through the night. Thank you Jim & Liz for being such great hosts!

  • Jim & Liz's place was very charming! Quite comfortable, easy to find, and very clean. Hosts were easy to get in touch with and responded quickly.

  • This was a great place for the three of us to stay for a quick weekend ski trip to Killington. The house is adorable. Yes the stairs to the two bedrooms are more steep and narrow than what are in a modern house but that is part of the charm of being in a home built in the 1800’s. The fresh eggs provided by our hosts were yumm. The WiFi was great for watching movies. The entire house is sparkling clean. The beds are comfortable. The directions to the local grocery and to Killington were accurate and very much appreciated. This was a great way to experience the unique quaintness of Vermont.

We came up for a ski trip and not only is Jim & Liz’s place perfectly located (we hit Stratton- about an hour, Killington- about a half hour, and Sugarbush- about an hour), but the house is lovely. Plenty of space, a great kitchen for fixing our own meals, and comfortable for relaxing after a day of skiing. And eggs fresh from their own hens- fantastic touch!

    Timothy2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place to stay, quiet and clean. We spent most of our day skiing but it was nice to head back to a comfy space afterwards. The house is much cuter in person than the photos make it out to be!

Located near Lake Bomoseen and Castleton University. This is a charming upstairs apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood. Walking distance to boat rentals and to a local country store. This apartment provides you with a cozy stay - a bedroom with a queen size bed, sofa bed, and air mattress. There is Roku television, a heat pump for air conditioning or heat, Keurig coffee maker, and more.
  • Quaint, cozy, and perfect. The location and price point was idyllic. My husband and I would definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in Castleton!

    Stephanie2019-10-27T00:00:00Z

Nice neighborhood, near the lake, near several sites. Close to many activities. Nice deck with table and chairs to enjoy your morning beverage, a meal or just to sit and visit. There are several pamphlets to peruse and find things to do if you are just in the area to site see.

  • A tucked away little get away! This is perfect for people who want to unwind and relax and go off the grid a bit!

  • William’s place was what I expected. It was very relaxing and full of natural beauty!!

    Shannon2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • We loved it here. It was very relaxing and a great place to unplug. My kids enjoyed playing in the creek and waterfall. It was everything you could want in a rustic camp. Thanks again.

    Amber2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome place to detach from electronics and bond with friends and or family. We loved it.

    Lhachi2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at Bill & Harry’s place. Our family enjoyed the property so much, we knew we had to go back this year. It was honestly meant to be; we hadn’t planned too far in advance & were afraid it would be booked up. We lucked out, and had another restful, relaxing & grounding family vacation! This is the perfect place to disconnect from the chaos of your usual weekly hustle, and show your kids that there is WAY more fun to be had in nature vs their fixation with daily electronics and the online world.

    Holly2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was a wonderful experience. The brook and waterfall are beautiful and many great sights to see nearby. I hope to head back that way soon since there’s just too much to see and do for one trip! I highly recommend heading a short distance walking across the Lake Champlain Bridge into VT, the view from the top was stunning.

    Tiffiny2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as advertised!!! A nice rustic cabin with an amazing brook to both start and end your day. Loved starting the day on the deck drinking my cup of coffee listening to it and falling asleep hearing it out the bedroom window. There is a great deal to do within an hour radius and recommend researching areas of interest before going. Highly recommend the glass blowing experience with Annie in Mineville. Restaurant-Olive Ti Pi for good Italian: apps, pizza, pasta, sandwiches, and salads Points of Interest-Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Williams for the ghost tour, and Gunnison Orchards: nice gift shop with amazing homemade baked goods

  • This place is only going to get better and better. The cabins were getting fresh paint while we were leaving and new roofs were next on the list. I look forward to returning and seeing the changes. We loved our stay

    Justin2019-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Quaint wooden cottages on a vineyard setting give visitors a taste of a by-gone time, while still having access to mod-cons. WiFi wasn’t available in the cabins but there was a full 4g signal and WiFi in the main building. Lovely evenings looking up at a vast clear sky free of any light pollution. Free wine tastings offering some truly interesting wines which can be purchased on site. The hosts are very hospital and our kids had a ball swimming and playing games!

    Niall2018-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy little cabins in a rustic setting. Calm and quiet.

    Phillip2018-07-05T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute cabins. Very clean and quaint, located on a lovely property. The pool looked very inviting, however it was a rainy weekend. We were allowed early check-in and late check-out. Would love to go back for some wine tasting and the Vermont fall offerings. Bonus++ pets are welcome!

  • The perfect place to stay if visiting Middlebury College. Peter and Mary's is clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Highly recommend.

    Susan2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This place was a little gem. I was there for a visit with my son in Bridport. The location was great... close to Middlebury (for activities) and Bridport (my sons farm). The little touches and friendly hospitality was spot on. Great place for the price! Will certainly be back.

    Michelle2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here with our two little ones and it was great. The space is in a separate part of the house with its own entrance so it’s quite private. It’s clean, well equipped (coffee machine, fridge, etc.) and we particularly liked local items provided, a real treat! Peter was great to communicate with prior to arrival and nice to chat with while there. We would come again!

    Heimen & Annemieke2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • You can expect a warm welcome, kind and friendly hosts and a great setting.

    Nassim2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • What a gem! This was one of my best Airbnb experiences (and I’ve stayed at 20+ locations). Everything was simply lovely. It’s really like having your own place. I was very appreciative of the snacks and coffee Peter provided. The view from the back patio is absolutely stunning. Very comfortable bed. Wonderful experience!

    Katherine2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second visit at Peter and Mary's. The first time we came for the bicycling. The second was for more bicycling and the warm hospitality of our hosts. Our room was so comfortable, the back deck inviting, and the snacks! My husband and I have stayed at many Airbnbs and this is one of the best!

    Candace2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place that is not to be missed! The room itself is spacious, as is the adjoining bathroom. The view out the back of the house looks out over farm fields, and mountains, and the sunsets are breathtaking. Check-in is very easy. A variety of snacks and breakfast items are provided in the small fridge. I will definitely be returning here again!

    Susan2019-07-10T00:00:00Z
  • If you are doing anything around this area. I highly recommend you stay at this place. You get a very private room with an absolutely fantastic bathroom. You also are free to hang on the deck and wonder the place. A little hint. There is very little light pollution and the night sky is wonderful. The host provided some breakfast items (granola, yogurt, cheese, crackers, juice and milk). Plenty of coffee and tea. the room was very clean and they even had some board games you could play. This is one of the best Airbnb's I stayed at. The family was also very friendly. Again if you are doing anything in Vermont you should stay here!

  • Bell House is a uniquely appointed old home in the perfect location for us to walk where we needed to go in Middlebury! Jeff and Christina are great hosts ... prepared coffee and light breakfast foods for us in the morning. The Garden room and bathroom were very clean. Our son and his family stayed in the King-sized room down the hall ... a wonderful space for them to stretch out in the evening after a full day. We’ll be staying at Bell House again soon!

    Mildred2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Bell House is a lovely home on beautifully landscaped grounds less than a mile from downtown Middlebury. The Garden Room is cozy, with a great bed and a beautiful newly renovated bathroom. Jeff made check in a breeze, with clear communication. A nice breakfast tops it off!

  • Bell House is in a quiet by nature surrounded place in walking distance into Middlebury and 4 Min car ride to the College. During the summer months you’ll enjoy the wonderful plants and flowers around this airbnb. A larger pool by the house makes it a wonderful combo for a summer vacation! Also should you have any time there’s a variety of books to entertain you . Breakfast and coffee in the dining room were just what we needed :-) Check in was a breeze-Jeff send simple instructions well ahead so we were prepared. If you travel from out of state download offline maps for travel-spotty cell coverage could affect your communication. So glad there’s WIFI at the Bell House!

  • Amazing place to stay! Jeff was more than flexible as our arrival got later and later thanks to traffic. He was warm and friendly and showed us the space. The bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced from an Airbnb. Breakfast was amazing, the pool looked so inviting. The house was immaculate and they generously provided us with everything we could have asked for. The location is perfect, so close to so many things we wanted to see. A real pleasure to stay there! Thank you!

  • Beautiful location looking over Lake George. It was pretty easy to get to and Tom was great at communicating before we arrived to let us know which road to use because one of the roads was flooded because of a recent rain storm. The house is gorgeous and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Tom waited for us even though we arrived in the evening to show us around the property. We would love to stay here again in the future!

  • My husband and I loved staying here for a few days. The space has real charm - kind of a funky arrangement with the bathroom & kitchen-like facilities downstairs, but very cozy and comfortable. Caitlin & Andy are great, laid-back hosts & there was lots of good local information provided. We enjoyed our stay in Middlebury and would recommend a stop at the excellent Art Museum at the College. It's free!

    Anne2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • This place was wonderful! I stayed in the dead of winter when the temps dipped below freezing. The space was warm and the shower was hot. And the bed was so very comfortable. The hosts also provided a variety of Keurig coffee and teas, cream in the fridge, plates and utensils, etc. There is even an induction stove top (that I didn't use). And the location in Middlebury was perfect. I appreciated my host coming out to greet me and offer local restaurant tips, etc. She was so friendly. Perfect stay.

  • This place is even more beautiful than the pictures depict! We just loved our time at the School House. The furnishings and woodwork are gorgeous. It was very comfortable with great beds and plenty of linens, dishes, and everything else we could need. It was sparkling clean, and check-in and check-out were a breeze. We appreciated Clover's quick responses to questions we had about things to do in the area. This place is a gem!

  • My husband and I spent a delightful four nights at Abbott's place earlier this week. We used it as our base to ski and hike and enjoy the beautiful countryside. We appreciated how well provisioned his place was. Lovely towels, sheets, etc. We had everything we could want in a kitchen including a vitamix for my morning smoothies! Some food items that were very useful including coffee, tea and some left behind food items from other travellers (peanut butter, etc.). Great location close to many amenities and yet off the beaten path. Abbott very responsive to all of our little questions....Looking forward to next time when we will explore the river and additional hiking trails!

It was very nice having basic supplies such butter, oil, basic seasonings, coffee, tea, etc. The bed was quite comfortable with nice linens throughout. Communication with Abbott was very good.

  • Beautiful, clean apartment with great amenities and location. We truly enjoyed our stay. One word of caution to future travelers - the host will charge you for additional guests (our group grew from 3 to 4) and for sleeping in all the beds (our daughter took an afternoon nap in the third bed). These charges were billed to us after checkout.

  • Abbott’s place was very neat and clean. Close to stores but not to close and right on the edge of nature. Perfectly located between a few mountains in Vermont and a few cool towns.

  • Lovely place! Loraine was super nice and accommodating when we said we'd be getting in pretty late and the cute rustic barn attic was exactly what we'd hoped for. Enjoyed having coffee in the breakfast nook overlooking the farm. Will be back and stay longer next time!

  • Great place! Super cozy, warm and with a beautiful view. Thank you Loraine!

    Mia2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Loraine's farmhouse is about as Vermont as it gets. The beds were cozy and comfortable. We loved looking out at the maple fields while drinking our Vermont Green Mountain coffee in the morning. Was pretty easy to get to Killington and camel's hump from the location. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
