The accommodation was amazing with lovely decor, very homely, and extremely well equipped with anything you might need. The bathroom in particular is beautiful. It was a little colder outside when we stayed which made the bedroom heater and electric blanket all the more welcome. Alison was a great host who provided everything and more and the two cats were just as friendly. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone wanting a cosy, quiet stay when visiting Wellington.

Superb stay in Wellington! This has been our favourite AirBnB stay so far in NZ. We felt at home: you can tell that this is someone's home and it is looked after, not just an AirBnB or rental . The place is nice, cosy and super-comfortable, well situated in an area with bars and shops and you can either walk or easily get a bus to the centre of town. Alison is very nice, helpful, and made sure that we had all that we needed (including great coffee and Netflix). The cats can come and go as they please, and they play if you want to play, or leave you alone if you don't want to play. We recommend this place 100%, and we would come back here for sure if we were again in Wellington. Thanks Alison!

A fantastic stay! Very comfortable with a very nice kitchen and two lovely, friendly cats, I felt right at home from the moment I arrived. Situated just a short walk from shops, cafes and bars but also a very quiet place to stay. Alison was a great host, accommodating my stay at short notice and making sure everything was in place. Their house is about half an hour walk from town, but if you are looking for somewhere peaceful out of town this is a great location, lovely suburb with shops, restaurants, cafes, everything you need. Katie and Karl were just the sweetest hosts. Thanks so much! They made me feel like I was a flatmate and everything was super easy going. On arrival, Katie made sure to turn up the heating in my bedroom so I wouldn't freeze, which was very thoughtful. Also, I had plenty of room to store everything and even though I didn't use it, there was free cereals, milk, bread and tea. Great for hungry globetrotters! I truly enjoyed our chats and my stay. I highly recommend it if you're looking for a cute little cottage with lovely hosts a bit away from the noise of city centre, but still centrally located. I hope I can return soon!

Very cute, well decorated and homey place. Only thing to note was that bathroom is right next to/inside the bedroom area and was a pretty small. Was a bit tough to have that privacy with no bathroom fan either and felt like noise travelled easily from upstairs. Just something to note. Other than that we loved the vibe, the location and the decor.

Jennifer's home is really nice and lively. She is a very creative decorator and we really enjoyed our stay. Only concern to be aware of is the very steep slow to/from the bus stop. Also, be aware of parking in the resident parking area. They will and do ticket you.

Stayed one night in this beautiful seperated flat. Very private, lots of space and light with quirky stylish decoration. It included a small porch out the back (equipped with a weber which we sadly didn't have time to use). Lovely bathroom and kitchen area with everything you need. Bed was comfy too. Would have liked to have stayed longer!

We didn't have much time to speak with the hosts as we arrived late and left early the next day for picton. The room was comfy and communication response via email was prompt. Host made sure we had access to what we need eg phone, bus cards, wifi which was a nice gesture.

It was a lovely room. The hosts were sweet, prepared, accommodating, and flexible in responding to my requirements. The bus transportation was extremely convenient to centre of town and to the airport. If you like walking you can easily walk to town centre. We really enjoyed our stay with Rose. House is located in the middle of Newtown walking distance from numerous cafes, pizzerias, restaurants and a supermarket. Personal suggestion, try pizza at Mediterranean Warehouse, coffee and pastry at Peoples cafe, Indian at Plant spice and etc. House 2 minute walk from a bus hub that has 5+ routes going to city. House itself is very clean with a clean room and a very comfortable bed, excellent shower with good pressure. Rose and Gordon are such genuine, interesting, beautiful humans - the kind of people you feel lucky to get to meet and chat to for half an hour let alone having them share their space and lives with you with complete hospitality and generosity. My stay was only a couple of days long but from the moment I landed at the airport and was met by Rose (and Valerie) I felt welcomed immediately and then nestled into their home within moments - warning: Rose and Gordon have created such an awesome vibe in that house it may be hard to leave! Their location in Newtown is also brilliant - there’s a record shop, music venue, cafes and the green belt all just steps away and a convenient bus into the CBD just across the road - the half hour walk in is also super pleasant. The room was fresh and airy yet cosy, I slept SO well on my bed and yes - I can’t praise my experience enough. Thanks so much for your warmth, stories and for all of your help you two! We stayed for 2 nights in the cottage as we couldn't fault it. It was perfect for a mini break and walking distance to the city centre. There are bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We would definitely stay there again and recommend to anyone visiting Wellington.

Awesome spot. Was clean and the bed was super comfy. It says not suitable for infants. We travelled with a 10month old and for 2 days it was alright. He loved crawling around. Just need to make sure the stairs are blocked so baby can't fall. Close to the city and zoo which was perfect.

Exactly as billed - very comfortable, self-contained place at the end of a quiet residential street. No contact with the hosts, but easy access and clean, with nearly everything you need. And great water pressure in the shower, but don't forget your toiletries!

Lovely little place to stay, had everything we required. Easy to get into Wellington, and quiet enough to be away from the city at night. Kris and Angela came to say hello and make sure we had everything we needed which added that little bit extra.

Tineke was amazing to stay with. I arrived really late on Friday night and she had stayed up to welcome me. My room was lovely. I was warm and snug, I slept really well. Tineke's apartment is right on the bus route, so catching a bus to and from the city was easy. I really enjoyed my stay and I recommend this host.

Tineke was there to welcome me when I arrived and very quickly I felt at home. Tineke's exquisite apartment is very conveniently located in an historic building in a vibrant and interesting part of Wellington that is within easy walking distance of the city. I walked back from Te Papa museum each day I was there.

Tineke's was a wonderful stay in Wellington for me, her accomodation was, clean, tidy, comfortable and stylish. Her second floor apartment is in as a great location with plenty of cafes, restaurants and conveniences just a short stroll around the corner. Within walking distance of the city it was easy to locate tourist attractions as well as the waterfront. Plenty of night life hubs that cater for singles, couples and groups. The apartment is very clean and has a unique style, and the location is very good and near many coffees and restaurants from different tastes. The bus stop is at a foot step from the building entrance which made it very convenient to use public transport. Tineke's place is in a beautiful building in a great location! Newtown is a nice area with cool cafes, bars and shops, is right next to the hospital and the zoo, and only a 25 minute walk or 10 minute bus ride to the town centre. Was a great place to stay for my first week in Wellington, and Tineke was an excellent host; very attentive and helpful, and made a delicious breakfast every morning! I felt very at home here and would definitely stay again! Thankyou!

Wendy's home was perfect for me. I was two minutes from work and Wendy allowed me to park in the carpark bay which was very considerate while she parked her car on the street. Very thoughtful. The little garden is lovely and the kitchen has a great setup. I most enjoyed the great shower with great water pressure and hot water. Beautiful house to live in!

As you enter the property you're welcomed by a beautiful, lush, private garden and an inviting deck. The perfect setting for a relaxing drink! The cottage itself is surprisingly spacious for a one bedroom place and has all the luxuries of a warm loving home. The decor inside the house is very lovely and the renovated bathroom is fantastic! There's plenty of street parking and all of what Newtown has to offer you is right at your fingertips! All in all, it's a marvelous place to stay and we'll definitely love to come back again one day. We enjoyed our stay at Wendy's place. We liked how bright and spacious it was. It's pretty close to central Willington as well. Hosts on site which is nice if you need them!

It was a delight and pleasure staying at Wendy's place. The unit is bigger than it looks in the pictures. It's very comfortable for a couple and possibly a third ie child. The setup was convenient for my partner and I as it has a well equipped kitchen which allowed us to do some light cooking for the nights we decided to stay in. The bathroom is very good, great shower pressure which is important to me. Location is ideal, just 10 mins from the cbd. There's a bus stop just 3 mins walk from the unit on the main road which takes you in $3.50 per person each way. Lots of restaurants and cafes in the area. New World supermarket 5 mins walk from the unit and a bigger Countdown 20 mins walk away slightly pass the hospital. All in all great and highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this accomodation enough. Great location with easy access to buses to the city (however also walked into town). A real home away from home with everything you need in this very spacious clean cottage. Lovely new kitchen and bathroom. The place is very quiet and had the best sleeps I have had in a long time in a very comfortable bed. Hope it's available the next time I'm in Wellington. Thanks Wendy!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying here...self contained, very comfortable clean and tidy with your own entrance. Ros was an excellent host...very accommodating with our extra friend, and arranged us an extra bed, we had the privacy to do our own thing and not disturb anyone. great location with shops around the cnr on Riddiford St and buses into the CBD every 4 (URL HIDDEN) trouble getting home at night either with buses running until late. I would definitely stay here again.

Victoria and Gavin were very helpful to keep us updated on situation in Wellington considering the earthquake and flooding. The room is very nicely decorated, clean and has all the needed comfort. Chocalates and bubblies added the extra touch. The bed has extra electric heating which was very useful for the cold night.

This is a wonderful room to be in for a trip to Wellington. I have stayed here twice now, for week long visits. It's a private room, with it's own bathroom, wardrobe, fridge, and great selection of hot drinks. Close to good bus routes, and in a nice section of the City. Will be seeing them again next time I'm heading to Welly, for sure.

Victoria and Gavin are excellent hosts. Very attentive, e.g. checked milk preference prior to arrival. The room itself is spacious. Even though no breakfast included, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk were provided. Also essential dishes for having breakfast were available. This place is located in a quiet area, however, you can easily reach city center and restaurants by foot. Would recommend this place.

It was a funky, beautiful and extremely clean place. Pete and Rog were very helpful in assisting us with all our needs. If you like Indian food, you need to let them know in advance as we were very disappointed as we missed out on a fabulous meal. Definitely stay there again if we are to visit Wellington again.

We loved everything about this place. Pete and Rog were perfect hosts, very friendly and welcoming, just delightful people to spend time with. They obviously also had great knowledge of the local area and made sure we had a great time here. They went above and beyond to put us up when weather made it sensible to stay another night (cyclone cook) and were incredibly relaxed and flexible. Gorgeous accomodation (like a 5* hotel!) and great coffee at breakfast. We have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs and would highly recommend this one.

We loved this beautiful and comfortable home, spending time with the hosts and sharing the awesome meal with them (delicious Indian food). The information book is great - on the area and how to use the appliances - the best we've ever seen. The home is situated on the Southern Walkway - just 3km from Mount Victoria. This one will book up fast!
