  • Staying at Felicia & Orlando’s flat made for a sweet and relaxing getaway with my girlfriend. Their place shows their incredible dedication to their guests and the personalized and thoughtful details are abundant. We stayed for the weekend and ended up tacking on an extra day because we didn’t want to leave! Felicia was communicative and helpful in every aspect of our trip and we could not have been more pleased with our booking. We hope to return in the near future and would highly recommend booking with Felicia and Orlando!

    Jen2019-12-11T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed in a lot of Airbnbs all over the world, and this was one of the absolute best. The beds were incredibly comfortable. The kitchen was very well stocked with the basics, making it easy to cook meals every day for the family, plus there was a Keurig machine with lots of coffee provided that our caffeine-addicted family very much appreciated! The whole space had a pleasant feel and was just so well supplied with everything you could need...extra blankets, pillows, soap/shampoo etc. We appreciated the packnplay for our 1 yr old too. Apartment is in a great location, just a couple blocks from everything in downtown New Bedford (Whaling museum, restaurants, cafes, library, etc.). Communication with the hosts was excellent throughout our stay. Can't recommend enough!

    Christina2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great for our family for the weekend. We were in town for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised with how neat and modern the apt was. The decor was lovely and the rooms were clean and comfy. Checkin with the keypad was super easy and the apt was located downtown, next to lots of great breakfast spots. I would definitely stay there the next time I’m in town.

Steps from the Whaling Museum, Martha Vineyard/Nantucket fast ferry, a variety of restaurants, night life and historic sights. Walk outside your private apartment onto the redbrick sidewalks and cobblestone streets of the beautiful urban New Bedford Whaling National Historic Park.
Completely refurbished with exposed red brick walls and nicely furnished. The space is comfortable for just hanging out for the evening if you want to cook in the fully equipped modern kitchen or order in from one of the local restaurants. Being so conveniently located in the entertainment district can cause noise issues especially on Friday and Saturday nights when the city is open late. Guests who prefer to go to sleep early on these nights especially during the weekends may like to consider a quieter out of town accommodation. No refunds will be given due to noise.
Enjoy the old world charm of Downtown New Bedford as you walk along the streets exploring world renowned museums, galleries, unique shops, bars and restaurant. Located in the heart of the entertainment district, enjoy multiple live music venues within blocks or take a short drive to explore quaint New England coastal communities.
  • Five star accommodation.

  • We’ve stayed at 2 of Barry’s properties and have been very happy with our experiences. We are already looking to book another stay! My husband & I don’t even notice the street or pub noise, but if you’re a light sleeper, it could be an issue. I actually love the sound of the cobblestone street out front. Adds to the charm of the place!

    Carole2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place located right in downtown. Perfect for a couple looking to for a place that isn’t costly like Boston or Cape cod, but within a hour of each! Perfect place to rest your head while day tripping in Mass. It was very clean and modern. We loved the balcony view of the pier. The stairs to walk up are a bit steep, so try not to have to much of a good time in the local bars, which are in walking distance. It was quiet and comfortable. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice New England getaway!

    Amanda2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome location! So many great bars, restaurants and shops to choose from or just walk around downtown. Friday and Saturday night was a bit loud, but I would stay there again and plan to on my next trip to New Bedford.

  • This place is nice,is alot of good places around

    Pedro2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Would highly recommend this apartment. Great location!!! love the nostalgia of the apartment. Walking distance to lots of fun things in the New Bedford area...right across the road from the wharf. Remember to bring your ear plugs due to late night noise and you will get the rest needed on very comfortable beds :) ...would definitely stay here again!!

    Suzanne2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is quite spacious with all the amenities you would need. The location is ideal with all the shops and restaurants with in walking distance. We highly recommend this place and look forward to our future visits.

    April2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This is a very nice unit that had everything we needed. It’s in a safe part of town and convenient to nearby attractions. One potential drawback if you’re a light sleeper, and this is NOT a reflection on the owner: it’s located right beside a couple of pubs, and they play loud music into the early morning hours. So it may not be ideal if you’re looking for peace and quiet. We were there for a wedding, so it wasn’t an issue for us. Otherwise, it was terrific. Barry is a great host who is very responsive and the place was clean with all of the amenities one would want.

Our neighborhood is steeped in history, while being convenient to restaurants, local art scene, beaches, the highway and bus service.
Our house on the Acushnet River dates back to the early 1800s. The second floor bedroom comfortably fits two people. We also offer a modern private bathroom for our guests. Patrons can enjoy the views of the beautiful New Bedford harbor or take a long walk along the historic Fairhaven streets. Enjoy dining at one of many nearby eateries. Located in the quaint seaside town of Fairhaven. Enter the house through a private entrance that leads you to your private formal parlor which features a black marble fireplace, custom draperies and french doors. The private dining room adjacent to the parlor is accented by a fireplace with rare Bennington tiles and a built in china cabinet. Up the grand staircase to the second floor is your private bedroom and bath. The bedroom has a very comfortable queen size bed with 2 closets for storage and a fireplace. The utmost care was taken to provide you with a comfortable yet elegant atmosphere. It also includes fine sheets and towels, a mini refrigerator with drinks and a Keurig for tea or coffee. This Nantucket-style Greek Revival house was built for Captain James Henry Swift in 1844. He is the original owner but the house is revered as the residence of Job C. Tripp, a close associate of Henry H. Rogers and best known for his many years of community service to the town of Fairhaven. While residing in the house, from 1865 through 1917, he hosted Manjiro Nakahama on his second visit to Fairhaven, and also entertained Dr. Nakahama, Manjiro's grandson. Manjiro Nakahama is well known as the Japanese boy rescued at sea by Captain Whitfield and brought by him to live in Fairhaven for several years. Manjiro eventually became a national hero in Japan which has resulted in a visit to the town by the Japanese Emperor and many visits by Japanese tourist.
You have a private entrance with access to a lock box which allows you to come and go when you wish. Private bedroom adjacent to a private bath. Private living room and dining room with a microwave and mini frig containing water, juice and cream for coffee or tea. There is plenty of off street parking available.
Our neighborhood is in the historic center of Fairhaven with several 19th century homes and buildings. We are walking distance to local restaurants, a 3.5 mile Phoenix BikeTrail and Fort Pheonix State Beach.
  • Very nice place near interesting architecture. Short walk from some nice restaurants.

  • Very charming historic house for just a smidge more than the local motel. Lisa answered my texts quickly and graciously. There is a small microwave, a toaster oven, a Keurig and a mini fridge/freezer so you can make yourself a little breakfast and feel like an old sea captain in port. :) The bathroom is modernized and the bed has a memory foam topper. I'd definitely recommend this to others.

    Tami2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Incredibly charming, spacious, clean and comfortable. Perfect for history buffs. Highly recommended!

  • This is a large, beautiful space in the heart of Fairhaven. It includes multiple rooms spread over two floors of a gorgeous home, including a dining area and living room area downstairs, and a comfortable bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The house sits on a peaceful and beautiful street, immediately adjacent to the Fairhaven town hall, within walking distance of multiple restaurants, and only ten minutes by car from downtown New Bedford. This is an excellent place to stay for a cozy weekend getaway!

The Whalehouse is a grand Victorian built in 1855 in the center of New Bedford's historic home neighborhood. It's the former home of Herman Melville’s sister, and this is where he used to stay while visiting her. Located minutes from the Whaling Museum, ferries to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Cuttyhunk, Zeiterion Theatre, and downtown's galleries and restaurants. Come experience modern victorian living – stylish decorations meld perfectly with the historic character and charm of the space.
The Guest Suite is a thoughtfully designed two-floor apartment in the former servant's quarters of the home – exposed brick, tin ceiling and a wood fireplace give the space a historic feel with modern amenities, so you'll feel right at home. The Guest Suite sleeps 2 comfortably, has its own private entrance, and comes fully furnished. The first floor has kitchenette, living room with a sofa bed, and a dining nook. On the second floor you will find your bedroom with a queen sized bed, a beautiful sun-filled bathroom with small stand up shower, and walk in closet. The Whalehouse is located in this historic West End of New Bedford – conveniently walkable to downtown's amenities. Please note that while we are not directly in the city center, it is a bustling area – street noise is not uncommon. As you arrive to The Whalehouse, you will be blown away with the ornate detailing of this historic home. The Italianate house was built in 1855 by Henry Taber, as a wedding present for his daughter Abby Taber Hunt. She and her husband and their daughter, Sarah, lived here through the 1860s. Upon moving to Western Massachusetts, they rented the home to Herman Melville's sister, Catherine Melville. The author was close with his sister and would frequent the home for visits, about 10 years after writing his famous novel, Moby Dick. As you look upon the estate, and the surrounding neighborhood, you can see how perfect Melville's words feel as he vividly describes the homes' facades. It's easy to see how he described New Bedford as "the dearest place to live in, in all New England." During the 1950's the home was transformed into part of the Swain School of Art and Design campus, serving as the painting studios for the school. If you happen to go on a tour of the Main House, the hosts can show you the 3rd floor and widows walk/cupola where many of the students wrote notes that are now a part of history. In 1983 the home was transformed into a popular Bed & Breakfast for about 30 years. When the current owners, Laura and Nick, purchased the home in 2015, they promised to restore the home to it's former glory, and they have been working on the renovation since. They are happy to open The Guest Suite to visitors so they can stay in a piece of history.
The Whalehouse is located in the historic West End district of New Bedford. Take a walk around the neighborhood for a glimpse into our "Whaling City" past - well-kept whaling mansions and beautiful estates surround this area. Check out the historic Downtown, and our port –  one of the last working fishing ports in the country!
  • Laura’s place is located a few minutes walk from downtown. The neighborhood is filled with beautiful old houses, and it’s just far away enough from the city center to be peaceful. The apartment is stylish and cozy with a bunch of old world charm. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we arrived to a lovely welcome note. Wonderful gem of an apartment!

    Julianne2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The Guest Suite was just so much and more. From the ease of communication with Laura to the beautifully curated yet extremely comfortable space, the entire weekend was fantastic. 10 to of 10 from this seasoned traveler!

    Wendy2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Laura & Nick were great hosts! We did not get the chance to meet face to face, but they were always available and ready to assist with anything. The space was clean, well decorated (looked even BETTER than the pictures), and had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable. Check-in was a breeze, thanks to detailed instructions. The area itself was fairly accessible by walking, and there was plenty of parking. It was our first visit ever to New Bedford, and our first time attending the Moby-Dick marathon at the Whaling Museum, so staying in the Whalehouse made it all the more special! I would absolutely return (and hope to do so!)

    Eli Henry2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • The Whalehouse is a warm, cozy, exceptional experience. Everything was as described by the hosts. Donnie and I were staying over the holidays and were surprised and grateful to see a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Especially when Donnie proposed to me in front of it on Christmas Eve! Our historic moment in an historic home! Gratefully, Eileen and Donnie

    Eileen2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Whale House is a beautiful space in a great location. It was very comfortable, and artfully decorated. it felt as though I was staying somewhere special. It is just a few minutes walk to the center of New Bedford, which has lovely bakeries, restaurants, cafes, museums and a working harbor (with ferries to Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket). The hosts were thoughtful, kind and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to do so again soon.

    Rachel2019-12-08T00:00:00Z
  • Laura and Nick are great hosts, very friendly and responsive. The space is large, bright, comfy and everything in working order. They have done a nice job renovating this historic space combing the old with the new. The bed is comfy, the shower nice with great hot water! We tried their recommendations for restaurants and eateries and all were good. Don't miss the Black Whale and The Baker! We would definitely stay there again.

    Janice2019-11-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Whalehouse Guest House in New Bedford is an excellent place to stay. The hosts are responsive but not intrusive. We had everything we needed, but I'm confident Laura would have helped us if we needed anything. The guest house is clean, comfortable, a very close walking distance to the museum district and several wonderful pubs, and exactly as shown in the photos. We couldn't have been more pleased.

    Kate2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely amazing. Worth every penny. Super adorable and historic, love the stories about the house! Modern with old features, such a great mixture. Great area, very safe and walkable to downtown. Comfy bed.

This classic second floor, 2 bedroom apartment is situated in downtown New Bedford. All of the great local restaurants and entertainment is just a 5 min walk to the heart of this small city. Easy access with a 5 min drive from I-195 and off street parking.
Beautiful 1850's home set on a quiet one way street. Surrounded by a church, private business and other historic homes (Frederick Douglass's first home is around the corner). It's a great place for some peace and quiet (for the city), but all within in a 3 to 10 min walk to some of the best restaurants and entertainment New Bedford has to offer. It's a spacious 2nd floor apartment with a large master bedroom, and a simple but tastefully decorated living room, guest bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Please see pictures for stairs access. They are a little steep so please consider before you book if anyone in your group may have trouble navigating them. **Important: Heat during the winter is a steam radiator system. They can, at times, make noise. We recently made adjustments to the system which should make it much quieter. Heat will be limited to 70 degrees fahrenheit**
The apartment is located a stone's throw from many of the top destinations and restaurants in Downtown New Bedford including entertainment: The Whaling Museum, Nathan and Polly Johnson House, Seamen's Bethel, Mass Escape Rooms etc Restaurants: No Problemo, The Baker, Brick Pizzeria, D&B Burgers, Cork Wine & Tapas, Noodle Bowl.. the list goes on and on. Transportation: Martha's Vineyard Ferry (10 min walk) New Bedford Airport (3 miles away)

    Issam2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • The space was perfect! Exactly what we needed for our trip back home. We are actually moving back soon and thought to ourselves, “wow we could see ourselves in a place like this!” The way it’s set up is so cozy and comfortable. We especially loved the kitchen! Our only two very minor recommendations would be to have ketchup in the fridge and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Again, super minor, but just two things we needed. Daniel was quick to respond, the place was super clean, and it’s in a GREAT location. Would definitely stay again!

    Bryana2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place is just like the pictures. It is in a great location, walkable to the center on New Bedford. The apartment was beautiful and big. There is off street parking, tight for two cars but doable. I would recommend this place to any friends who come to New Bedford.

The TBT Carriage House is walking distance to downtown's Historic National park, Whaling Museum, ferry's to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard and Cuttyhunk islands, Zeiterion theater, antiques, galleries, shops and great restaurants. Property was meticulously restored with historic character and charm. Suite is located on first level with private entrance which includes a living space, bathroom and bedroom. TBT carriage House is great for couples, solo adventurers, and business travelers. Enjoy!
Thomas B. Tripp Carriage Hous(URL HIDDEN) c. 1909 ~ Mission Style This carriage house was originally part of the adjacent property to the east facing County Street. The large Queen Anne was built by Marcia Parker on land which belonged to the estate of Benjamin Cummings. After Parker’s death, the property was sold to Thomas B. Tripp, who was a real estate mogul in the city. He needed the outbuilding for his own stable and carriage. The house and carriage house remained in the Tripp family as one property of a large estate. Tripp died in 1912 and the property ownership passed to his widow, Emma, who retained it until her death in 1930. The property was overseen by executor Rodolphus Swan for the next five years. In 1935, the property was acquired by Jacob Genensky, the previous owner of the houses in the Clinton Place cul-de-sac. Genensky, the son of one of the first New Bedford Russian Jews, was trained as a dentist. However, for most of his life he was active in the real estate business started by his father. His wife, Molly Nyma Rubenstein Genensky, was involved numerous civic and Jewish organizations in the city. She received national recognition for enriching Jewish cultural life in the United States. It was under their ownership that the property was divided. In 1968, the carriage house was sold to the School of Design to be used as studio spaces. Swain School was founded in 1881 with a bequest from William W. Swain. He bequeathed his mansion and the greater part of his estate at the corner of Hawthorn and County Streets for the purpose of establishing a school of higher education. At its inception it was called the Swain Free School and was to be open free of all charges to such citizens of New Bedford as are qualified to profit by the instruction. The school originally offered classes in Greek, Latin, mathematics, history, geography, English, art, physics, chemistry, German, French and Italian. Over the years the curriculum changed its focus to fine art and design and the name was change to the Swain School of Design to reflect the change. The School was incorporated in the mid 1980s with the then Southeastern Massachusetts University, now University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. In 1985, the carriage house was sold to individuals to be used as a private residence. It has continued to be used as a residence under a variety of owners. This cement stucco building originally had three doors for vehicles which now have sets of French doors. Typical elements of this mission style include the large bracketed eaves with Roman style windows on the front facade and arched side widows create a classical and elegant style. The entrance to this home has room for gardens on either side of the walkway with planters in front of the wall. Some of the plants you will see are lilac, hydrangea, ornamental grass, azalea, violets, phlox and bamboo along with boxwood in planters.
The neighborhood is surrounded by beautiful historic homes with wonderful architecture and stroll around the neighborhood is highly recommended.

  • A wonderful cottage which is equipped w/all you need for a relaxing 3 week summer vacation. It's clean and compact, has a lovely porch, and w/out a doubt, the best view of Padanaram Harbor that one could hope for. I could not have been happier. Susan was always available to answer any questions. She came by to water the plants, and except for the watered plants, and mowed lawn, I never would have known she came by. Very helpful but very respectful of your privacy. It was GREAT!

Recently remodeled, vibrant Studio in the center of Fairhaven. Our place is a short walk from shopping, restaurants, and features: -Private entrance -Kitchenette -Backyard with firepit and garden -Minutes from ferry terminal servicing Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket. With so much to explore in this area (30min to PVD, Newport and Cape Cod), we recommend renting a car. There is limited access to public transportation.
There are several locally owned shops to visit along with several food options within a very short walk. A few of my favorites are... Margaret's Restaurant (2 blocks away) Elisabeth's Restaurant (3 blocks away) Minerva Pizza House (3 blocks away) Wah Mey Chinese Restaurant (1 block away) The Nook Coffee House (3 blocks away)
  • Cute apartment in a nice and quiet area.

  • Adam and Erika have created a perfect and cozy oasis of calm in Fairhaven, MA. I will note in advance that I was a long-term guest--over 60 days--so I may have a slightly different perspective than most. But I think that my own experiences translate well into any duration. The images on the website are 100% accurate. The space is clean, brilliantly appointed, and designed with a genuine eye to aesthetics. It *is* small...it is the last studio in a house that has several other apartments...but they have genuinely done well in maximizing its comfort and utility. The location is very easy to access, in and out, and parking is almost always a breeze. The neighborhood is beautiful, picturesque, and well-worth exploring. Daily runs or walks to the small but picturesque beach are required. The neighbors in the building are extremely friendly and helpful. There is a rear garden that must be honey in the summer. The kitchen is thoughtfully appointed, with fine glass tupperware plentiful, and a host of smaller items. Glassware, flatware, silverware, and some fine knives and cutting boards. Microwave is a bit powerful--watch your oatmeal. Adam and E have made a great effort to keep the small kitchen stocked with necessities, and the clean fridge contains even a bottle of RI's own coffee syrup. The space is absolutely perfect for one, but can even work really well with two, if you can closet well together. A dual chest at the the bed's foot helps some. The bed is a cloud. The bed lights are a bit harsh but very functional. Pillows are perfect. If I could change anything--and I am a weirdo--I wish there was a bit more shelf space. I had a lot of of things, because I was such a long-term guest. And I had a lot of books. Again...weirdo. The space itself is just perfect for the average tenant, and there is a selection of well-read tomes nearby. The room can seem cold at times in wintry months, and I had to tweak the thermostat some. Also the shower can take a little getting used to. But no more than a day. Overall, this was a perfect AirB&B experience. I loved being there, loved coming home there after a long day, and regretted seeing it go. Adam and Erika not only have created a perfect oasis, but they have gone out of their way to create a truly homey and friendly and warm experience. The communicated constantly, and made me feel a genuine friend. An amazing find, amazing hospitality, and this weary traveller wishes them great fortune and bright sunrises. Cheers x2! Anthony

  • Lovely place to stay! The hair dryer was great (seriously thinking about purchasing that one!) Don’t expect a TV, which was included in the listing and totally expected, great communication, location was close to a biking/running trail (I ran in the morning) and the location is historic and gorgeous. Recommend 💯

Hello! My name is Michael and I’m a touring musician. I spend a lot of time on the road and am happy to share my space with you. It is very basic, but has a unique and welcoming energy. You will have the whole place to yourself with a full kitchen, bathroom and lofted sleeping area. The wooden floors and beams give this hundred+ year old space a unique feel. About 5-10 minutes walking from downtown/the ocean, it’s a great location if you want to get out and see this historic city.
There is a back entrance with a private staircase to enter the loft. Many of my personal items will remain in the space so please be respectful. Please be mindful when entering late at night as the downstairs tenant’s room is below the entrance.
Be sure to visit Circa Vintage Wear two doors down on Court for a unique vintage experience! Also take the chance to hop on the ferry to Nantucket, just minutes away by car. Check out the local downtown scene with a short 5-10 min walk or 3 min drive.

Our place is close to family-friendly activities, nightlife, public transport, and the city center. You’ll love our place because of its location, Uniqueness, Views. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families (with kids). Its located above Cork. So feel free to order room service!! Or head down the stairs or private elevator for a night out! DUE TO MA NEW SHORT TERM TAX. THERE MAY BE A TAX ADDED TO YOUR STAY DUE AT CHECK IN IF NOT ALREADY ADDED BY AIRBNB
Located in the newly redeveloped Historic district with its new street scapes and old world charm. Villa New Beige will set you back in time. Located on the top two floors of the Taber Brothers Building. The solid stone building was Built in 1815 for the Tabers who built blocks and pumps for the whale boats. Villa New Beige was born in 2006. As you'll see in the photos is an architects dream. Huge exposed beams and posts tied together with steel rods its an amazing engineering feat. Using the stairs or the private elevator you'll arrive on your first floor. Antique recycled heated flooring from the building itself will welcome you. Stainless steel banisters will make you think you've just stepped on a megayacht. On this floor you'll find a gourmet kitchen, lounge and dining. As well as one bedroom and full bathroom. The single Loft Bed up a ladder. great for kids or an extra bed single adults. TV And lounge area, wine fridge and antique Thai doors compliment the circular stair case leading to the top floor private oasis. On the second level you'll find the second queen size bed, another bathroom with huge shower and another lounge leading onto the roof top deck. With views across the harbor you'll think your the captain of your own ship. Great place for breakfast, afternoon cocktails, or dining at the table while taking in the views of the harbor and across to fairhaven and the islands of buzzards bay. Being so convenient to a bar and restaurant can cause noise issues especially on Friday and Saturday nights when the city is open late. The apt is above the Cork Wine and Tapas Bar restaurant function room. Guests who prefer to go to sleep early on these nights especially if the room below is rented for a party may like to consider a quieter out of town accommodation. We rarely get any complaints but want our guests to be fully aware of where they are staying. This is not a silent country cottage. We cannot refund the stay or portion of it due to city/bar noises. Its just a part of Downtown NB living and that's what most our guests enjoy the most and keep coming back for.
Down the stairs or the private elevator to the downtown city life of New Bedford. Walk to the museums, theatres, ferries, shops bars and restaurants.
  • This is an incredible Airbnb opportunity. The history of building combined with the stylish and modern space makes this a unique and comfortable location. This is the second time I’ve stayed in the Villa, and it truly is a treat. The space is sparkling clean and comfortable. Walking distance from everything in the historic whaling national park, as well as the waterfront. Phil is an exceptional host. Best place to stay in New Bedford!

  • Very nice loft above an amazing restaurant. I stayed 3 nights here into the weekend, like the description says it can get a little noisy but it doesn’t last all night. Phil was a great host and helped us with a tiny issue we had right away. Next time we are in New Bedford I will be looking to see if this is available.

    William2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stay here if you have a chance! This property is absolutely fantastic! You can't beat this location in the heart of downtown with a view of the harbor. Then there's the property! Wow! The building has amazing bones and unbelievable architectural features and added decorative touches that are all "spot on." This property was a fantastic part of our stay in New Bedford. If we come back to town, we will definitely book it again!

    Rob2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Phil’s space in New Bedford is truly one of a kind. We used the space to get ready for my wedding, and all of the groomsman said it was one of the coolest and unique spaces we’ve ever been. My airbnb is a suite of two rooms with a full kitchen, in my house, in a quiet, leafy neighborhood a short walk from the center of Padanaram village with its lovely harbor, shops and restaurants. It is private and accessed by a separate entrance and staircase. It is ideal for exploring the area with its beaches, organic farms, boating opportunities and fine restaurants. Nearby is New Bedford with its state of the art Whaling Museum, art gallerys and fishing activity. .
My place is great for a couple sharing a bed and possibly a third or forth, child or young adult that is part of the family that can use the pull out couch.
The neighborhood is wonderful for walking or riding a bike. The village offers fine restaurants, shops and a lovely harbor.
  • I stayed in this flat for more than 2 months and felt at home the whole time. Sarah is definitely a super host and she gets my best recommendations

  • This is a lovely spot with full kitchen and a full living area with separate bedroom, all a short walk to the main town of South Dartmouth. If looking for a place to stay in the area, I can highly recommend Sarah's private setting for up to 4 adults!

    Sam2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Sarah's place! She had so many thoughtful, cozy touches (e.g. a great selection of books, extra sheets/blankets/towels, snacks and coffee). She even baked us some delicious banana bread! The apartment itself was spacious, clean, comfortable. We slept super well after our long days out on the beach. The porch had a view of her beautifully maintained backyard, and the neighborhood itself was so charming. Would definitely stay here again if we are in the area!

    Joyce2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great visit to Sarah's house. The apartment was very nice and clean, the beds were super comfortable and the house is centrally located in Padanaram. Sarah is very thoughtful - when we arrived, the refrigerator with milk, cream, butter, water and delicious homemade banana bread. We would definitely stay there again.

The apartment is a one bedroom in-law apartment on the ground floor. There is a common entrance that leads to the apartment entrance. Upon entering the apartment, there is a Living room / Dining room space. There is a full kitchen and 3/4 bathroom (with shower). Beautiful, modern first floor apartment, steps from downtown New Bedford. You have private access a a fully stocked kitchen and home for a very comfortable stay.
It's a spacious first floor apartment with a large master bedroom, and a simple but tastefully decorated living room, office/guest bedroom with a murphy bed, kitchen and bathroom. **Important: Heat during the winter is a steam radiator system. They can, at times, make noise. We recently made adjustments to the system which should make it much quieter. Heat will be limited to 70 degrees fahrenheit**
The apartment is located a stone's throw from many of the top destinations and restaurants in Downtown New Bedford including entertainment: The Whaling Museum, Nathan and Polly Johnson House, Seamen's Bethel, Mass Escape Rooms etc Restaurants: No Problemo, The Baker, Brick Pizzeria, D&B Burgers, Mings Sushi, Cork Wine & Tapas...the list goes on and on. Transportation: Martha's Vineyard Ferry (10 min walk) New Bedford Airport (3 miles away)
  • Tastefully renovated, super clean, spacious, and convenient to town. Hosts are friendly and responsive. Beautiful kitchen and fast internet.

  • Michael's spot is perfectly situated for you to hit New Bedford, Dartmouth, Tiverton, and Newport. Anything along that stretch of coast! Checkin/entry was so smooth, and the space was large and comfortable. It was a funny mix of really nice touches and also some question marks. Paper towels in the bathroom? Definitely not a dealbreaker. Snag this spot if you want to be a quick drive from coastal South Mass and coastal Rhode Island.

  • Mitchell’s place was extremely clean and homey. Parking was easy and we loved the decor inside the apartment. The couches and beds were very comfortable and the air conditioners kept us perfectly comfortable on a very hot and humid day. The kitchen was beautiful! We planned on cooking ourselves and while there are some pots for cooking there is just one small frying pan just FYI if you are planning to cook something big you might need to bring your own pans. Also the bathroom was very spacious and the rain shower was really nice! However there is no bath mat or shower curtain so be careful not to splash any water on the floor and be very cautious when getting out of the shower or you may slip on the tile floor. Overall it was an excellent space!

  • The bedroom is quite big and comfortable, wifi very stable, had nice amenities (lots of towels, hangers, snacks, yea&coffee, water). It was quiet, had a lot of privacy, and best of all Aaron was very helpful with a great smile :) If you are crazy enough (like me) to take public transportation, it’s like 15-mins walk to the bus stop. The bus can take you to downtown New Bedford, south Dartmouth (with a transfer).. etc... I also used Uber and it was much easier (of course). There is a nice popular Italian restaurant in walking distance. If you have a good idea of the location, I strongly recommend it!!!

  • The loft was immaculate when I arrived. Matthew communicates quickly to be assured my welcome was pleasant. The loft is a great find and i will return!

  • Very clean! Matthew was a great host, responded quickly and checked in with us! Would definitely stay here again if we came back to town!

  • We think this may be the nicest air bnb we have ever rented!

  • The Loft was a fantastic place to stay. It was close to all that Padanaram has to offer but quiet enough to sleep with the windows open. The hosts thought of everything including a blow up mattress for the kiddo and a bottle of wine for the adults. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the Keurig coffee maker was clutch in the morning. Highly recommend The Loft if you're staying in the Dartmouth/Westport/New Bedford area!

  • Clean, well designed, and convenient, this is a beautiful, compact loft for a couple or family of 3. There’s a pool, too! We couldn’t have asked for nicer hosts and hope to return next time we’re visiting Padanarum!

Secluded sea side get away. Located on a private cul-de-sac at the end of a gravel road. Right on the beach! Perfect for an all in one, off the grid vacation. This cottage is a hidden gem featuring an oversized patio with out door dining table and grill. The beach is so close you could cast a fishing line right off the patio. The calm bay waters are fed by the "gulf stream" so the water is always comfortable in season. Perfect for kayaking or a safe place to let the kids frolic for hours.
  • This was my 2nd stay here and it was just as wonderful as the 1st. Great communication, clean, beautiful scenery.

  • The next time I’m back in MA, I’ll be staying here! The location is beautiful & David is a very nice host.

  • David’s place was great for my winter stay and the oceanfront views are amazing. There was a bit of a mix up with my check in but David arrived within minutes to help me out. The house was great with Wi-Fi and all the amenities I needed including pots and pans and even an outdoor gas grill. I’d love to stay there again in the Summer time. Thanks Again Tim

  • It was nice and very quite there, and close to everything that you would need.I was welcomed by gail force winds that most people would run from but it was a very enjoyable place to stay. Especially if u love the smell of the ocean.

  • We really enjoyed staying at David's place. The cottage was small but very clean and looked like it had recently been renovated. The location was perfect and more private than I was expecting. There were a few things that I will be communicating with David about but for the most part a great place to vacation. We were 3 adults and I would suggest that if there were more than that you might want to get a larger place. All in all a great place to spend your vacation.

  • Best deal in Fairhaven. Excellent location. Superb little cottage was perfect for my mom and my nephew and niece. I didn’t want to leave. Place was clean and I love the hardwood floor. I can’t wait to rent this place again next year.

  • Amazing location. Very peaceful and perfect to recharge your batteries facing the water. House has everything you need plus the astonishing beauty of its location, which can be seen from every corner of the house as it has many windows and large glass door. You feel part of nature and at the same time have access to the resources from the city.
