If you want a good affordable home base to explore Indiana/Kentucky this is it! It’s not fancy but it certainly has everything you need. Our family brought groceries so we could save money by not have to eat out for every meal. There’s a full kitchen so we were able to cook and keep our food in the fridge with no problem. Full bathroom with a shower and a bathtub. Two parking spots directly in front of the house. Super easy check in and out and Nick is very responsive to any questions you might have. Especially with good local tips. We walked from the house into a cute part of the town to explore some local shops. We felt safe and everything went well. Go to “Dress and Dwell” and “Him” if you have time, the “Madhouse” was a nice shop as well. We enjoyed playing some pinball and old school mariokart at the “Recroom” as well.

Had a great stay. For what we paid I was blown away. Neighborhood was quiet and had no issues. Will stay again if and when I come back to the area.

Nick's place was super clean and pleasant to stay at. I wouldn't of expected it to be so peaceful and quiet, but for sure it was! Nick was extremely helpful and really fast at getting a reply out if we needed advice or assistance he also knows the area very well! We stayed here to go skiing up at Paoli Peaks and we would definitely return!

This home was perfect and the little town of New Albany, Indiana was a surprise/gem! We were able to stay out of the fray of Louisville and only 10 minutes or less away from everything. It was spotless and our little Maddie enjoyed her stay too! Traveling with our 1.5 year old English Bulldog is very important to us and we will definitely return. Go book this home right away!!

The was the best Airbnb we’ve been too. Nice quiet place. Very clean and nicely decorated. Surprised by the extra food supplies. We’ll be back many times probably. Close to eating. Nice sidewalks to walk on at night.

I loved loved LOVED this little house! There were multiple details, in fact, that inspire me for possible changes to include in my own home, like the tile in the shower, the glass-fronted closet doors, the comfort and ease of having the parking pad RIGHT outside the kitchen door. Great location (we easily walked to our tour of historic Culbertson mansion), very very clean, and “just right” in so many ways. I even caught up on some SERIOUS sleep in the comfortable main bed!! The hostess has a great knack for style and for hospitality, and if we’re so lucky, we’ll be back.

Melissa's house is amazing! We stayed in the parlor room. The couches were very comfortable to sleep on and the chaise lounger was super comfy too! We enjoyed meeting Melissa and her family! Cute little touches everywhere... like the Keurig coffee maker and the colorful eggs; little knock-knacks. The yard was very quaint. It was cool to see the chickens and there is so much history here too! The Loved it! Would definitely stay again! :)

This was my third stay with host and first for this location. Everything was great as usual. Large footprint that sleeps 8. It was clean with good location for walking to downtown area. I will stay here again.

David offered wondeful accommodations for our family, without this valuable space we wouldn't have been able to get our family of 10 together. The home was very clean, and much larger than it appeared in photos. Very family friendly with multiple sleeping arrangements along with privacy for parents. Absolutely beautiful. The bathroom/jacuzzi is dreamy.. mood lighting, fake picturesque window, dome ceiling with beautiful design. The kitchen is a great size and has everything you could need. Will definitely be staying there again.

We loved staying with Ruth! She was such a thoughtful and generous host, and her guest space was cozy, and suited our needs very well. The bed was roomy and comfortable, and we loved the old-fashioned charm of the house itself. The location is great--it took us 10-14 minutes to get to downtown Louisville, and New Albany had lots of charming restaurants and bars. Make sure to try Wicks Pizza for delicious food, and The Earl for great cocktails!

We came into town late after driving 12 hours and it was perfect to come inside to a comfy couch and just relax with the projector and SNACKS! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy it, but it is a beautiful house with a lovely outdoor space in an amazing neighborhood. David's place was exactly what I needed for my work trip to Louisville. New Albany, Indiana is a short 10-15 minute drive into downtown Louisville. The space is perfect for one to two people and has a small kitchen area so you can cook some of your meals or just make a cup of coffee. There is a nice outdoor space also if you wanted to eat or hang out and enjoy the weather. The space was clean and comfortable and great to power down in after a busy work day. Downtown New Albany also has some great local restaurants to try if you want to get away from downtown Louisville.

Tiffany and Brian's space was AWESOME. I thought it looked super cute in the photos, but it's even cuter in person. Every little touch felt so thoughtful. Everything is clearly labeled which left me with no questions about anything. They seem to truly care about the guest experience. It was kind of like being in the fanciest hotel - they left me coffee, water bottles, some brews, and a bottle of wine. My towels were beautifully laid on each bed and little toiletries were left in the bathroom along with some essentials that most people forget to bring with them like makeup wipes. I felt so taken care of. They were also super easy to communicate with. I had some questions before booking and they were quick to respond and more than willing to accommodate me. Check-in was easy. Couldn't ask for better hosts. Already looking forward to staying here again in the future.

We love Tiffany and Brian's place! We stayed there for almost a week and our experience was lovely and wonderful. The place exceeded our expectations. Cleanliness is top-notch! There retro vinyl record player is a plus! We don't have to worry about parking because their parking area can hold up to four cars. We felt at home during our whole stay. We would definitely go back if we have the opportunity to visit New Albany/Louisville again. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend this property. It had everything you need to feel at home.

We have rented Airbnbs and VRBOs all over the USA and the world (Lafayette, Pasadena, Nashville, NYC, London, Oxford, Yorkshire, Poland, Amsterdam, Florence, Barcelona, Mexico, Hungary and others I've forgotten) and I'll have to say this was one of the best ever. I love cooking and usually trying to cook in an airbnb is frustrating because the kitchen is so poorly equipped, but not so at the Bough House - the best equipped kitchen bar none. Tiffany and Brian have done a fabulous job renovating and decorating their very special historic guest house. We loved it and it was supplied with everything you could possibly need. We were there a week and the only thing I could think of that wasn't perfect was the machine that is a washer/dryer combo. Although they do say it might be possible to have clothes washed at their house (very generous!). I loved the place and I hope to visit again!

I rarely leave reviews but for this place I was lost for words when arriving after a stressful trip and the little touch of seeing the wine bottle in the kitchen made my whole night. The place is absolutely stunning and feels so much like home. HIGHLY recommend to those who just want a little getaway and to relax with family or friends. Tiffany and Brian were wonderful hosts.

Our second stay here - Patricia did not fail to exceed expectation! Clean, inviting and well stocked, this place has all I could ask for in a home away from home plus some. This weekend was full of hustle and bustle plans for my family, and the little things here and there that Patricia anticipates in traveling really added that touch that will always have me booking again! My son forgot his toothbrush-not a problem, there’s an extra new toothbrush/floss/paste kit in the bathroom drawer. Don’t feel like running out to the store but need to cook a little breakfast ? Patricia’s got you- there were eggs and muffins in the fridge. Very much appreciated! Had a front come through with rain and sleet but we were cozy inside, not a cold room or draft in the house. Will be back again!

I’m losing count of how many times we’ve returned to this “home-away-from-home” - it is just such a comfortable, easy homebase for when we visit our friends in the area. Everything you need, easy navigation and communication, safe friendly neighborhood. If we’re so lucky, we’ll be back again!

We were pleasantly surprised by the space - much bigger and more natural light than expected! It was also nicely tucked away from the main house. A bit more noise than expected (mostly from the neighbor's dogs) so I would recommend earplugs if you're a light sleeper like me - it was fine after that. Plenty of street parking as well.

Loft-style, or a bit of a garret, in great shape. Not fancy, but has all you need, and everything works. If you're a walker, you're within about half an hour of some excellent food and drink. Joel's a friendly host, and staying at his place, you get to know a bit of Louisville's heart.

Sloan is above and beyond in responsiveness, went out of his way to give me a vegan restaurant recommendation, and even had k-cups for the morning, which was a lovely touch. The house was incredibly clean, and the ease of logging into the keypad app was incredibly simple. Fresh fluffy towels, and a huge TV if you feel like relaxing after a long day. There are cupboards to keep your travel items off the floor. Lovely home. If I return to Louisville soon, I would stay here again.

The bourbon distilleries suspended tours the night before we were supposed to travel to Louisville and check in, due to the Coronavirus epidemic. Kate was very understanding and refunded our money on very short notice of the cancellation. When the Covid-19 epidemic blows over, we plan on booking with Kate again and this time getting the experience.

Very clean and super cute and trendy inside. Easy to access and felt secure and safe. Owner quick to respond. Beds comfy and nice to have two separate bathrooms. Close enough to walk to local restaurants and activities, and parking was easy too. I highly recommend it!

This is a great and unique space to stay in. Melissa greeted me at the door and showed me to my room. The room was clean and had a TON of character. Very close to downtown area with lots of eateries and shoppes.

Great place. Really comfortable, spacious, and easy to find. It’s in a quiet residential neighborhood outside the city. In addition to the big bed, there‘s a sofa bed, lots of sleeping mats, extra pillows and blankets, etc. All three of us slept comfortably. Easy check-in as well. No complaints.

Awesome place! It was very close to Louisville (just across the bridge), very nice and welcoming environment. The host lives on the top floor unattached to the bottom floor which is the airbnb. Included two pull out sofas, one for two people and one for one person. A lot of sleeping mats in the closet as well. My only complaint is that we couldn’t control the temperature and it got pretty chilly but other than that it was beautiful. Thank you!

Sinn was very friendly and helpful, her place was warm and cozy. The neighborhood looked a little iffy at first but had security lights and locks and as an older female traveling by myself I felt safe. Comfortable couch to sleep on, since I had gone to a concert and needed to unwind I chose the couch to watch tv. Close to downtown and market street and the price was nice. Only a few minors comments I suggest a flashlight if coming in late as the motion light doesn't come on the stairs at the bottom She has kitchen , but minimum supplies so if you like coffee bring a few pods for a kureg. I would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Orlando’s. It’s tucked away north of town by a golf course and the river. We found it easy to access the rest of Louisville. The house was great plenty of space and well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. Orlando was a great host and chatted often to make sure we had a great time!

This place was GREAT! The kitchen had everything we needed to make a wonderful meal after we went to the grocery store. The place is private and quiet. David was wonderful! This was my first visit using Airbnb so I'm a newbie and he worked with me every step of the way. The area has the feel of a small home town with all the amenities of a large city.

I have had so many good to great Airbnb experiences that I always go in with high expectations. As a result, I seldom can say that my expectations were exceeded. Tamyra's home is wonderful, but she's even better. In that regard, as a host she just keeps exceeding my expectations. Fantastic location!!! We parked at the yum center and walked everywhere easily. Tons of great food options near by and of course lots of bourbon. Bedroom was incredibly dark at night which made it possible for us to actually sleep in a bit! We didn’t spend too much time in the room but the space was very stylish. We would for sure stay again

Easy to find and great little place for a quick trip to Louisville

We enjoyed our stay. Very clean inside. Very basic inside, but it fit our needs perfectly. I can see why some people commented about the location of the neighborhood, but we had absolutely no problems at all. Overall, a very good experience.

The house is a perfect size for anyone in town with a family of four or for a weekend with friends. Both of the bedrooms are big enough for one person or a couple to use. The kitchen has all sorts of amenities to use that not many other hosts would have available (from a refrigerator/freezer with ice, to a few cabinets with food for cooking). The bathroom is also a great size—not too small—and offers extra soap, shampoo, and towels in the closet. The host also has cameras placed outside the house to make sure it is safe from any outside forces. There about 3-4 parking spaces on the street (depending on the size of your vehicles). As far as location goes, you are walking distance from Churchill Downs and about a 10-minute drive or Lyft/Taxi/Uber ride from either downtown or Baxter Ave/Bardstown Rd restaurants. Overall, my stay was wonderful. I highly recommend this to anyone going to Louisville for a family or weekend trip.

Close to the track. The inside of the house was very clean and comfortable.

Other than the bulbs being out in bedroom two, our stay was wonderful. Access is easy and the neighbors are lovely. Second time staying here and will most likely be making another trip!
