Places to stay in Mytholmroyd
The cottage is in a superb setting on a south facing hillside with panoramic views across miles of fine Yorkshire countryside. It is approximately two miles from the centre of vibrant Hebden Bridge where there is an excellent range of independent shops, restaurants, coffee bars, art décor cinema, theatre etc. The cottage has been recently refurbished retaining many original features but with all the modern comforts of a fully fitted kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burning stove.
This an an ideal getaway stay with amazing access to miles of beautiful countryside - ideal for walking or biking. Or perfect for a relaxing cosy stay in tasteful surroundings. We look forward to welcoming you.
The cottage feels quite remote to some but is in fact only 6min drive from the centre of Hebden Bridge. The nearest pub is 5 mins drive or 25 min walk. The nearest shops are a 6 minute drive.
  • Truly amazing place, very spacious and cosy at the same time. Warm welcome from the cottage and Pauline is a lovely host. The cottage didn’t disappoint. Will definitely be returning and hopefully we will stay longer next time.

  • Great cottage in a nice remote spot. We really enjoyed our stay. The cottage has everything you need, is very homely and cosy. It's about a 30-40 minute walk down the hilland along the canal to Hebdon Bridge. There is a also a nice national trust place nearby (hardcastle craggs). Pauline and family were very kind and couldnt have done more for us.

  • Stunning accomodation, great hosts. Highly recommended.

  • It was our second stay at Pauline’s cottage. We loved it so much when we went last May that we wanted to come back in winter. It was as great as the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed the stove, the bathtub, the complete quietness and the beautiful views. Molly’s cottage offers all the comfort and peace you need for a weekend retreat. Great for the hikers and equally great if you just want to stay in, be cozy and enjoy a book next to the fire. If you enjoy cooking, appliances are magnific. Hebden bridge is a lovely village and it feels already as our second home. Thanks Pauline and Nick! We’ll come back (again)!

  • Pauline’s cottage is absolutely stunning. We stayed over for our 3 year anniversary and didn’t want to come home! Check in was super easy, we let ourselves in and Pauline popped round in the evening to let us know what was what. There were plenty of books, games and tv to entertain yourself. There was also a pack with really useful local information. Perfect hideaway for a romantic stay. Thank you again x

  • A great place to stay, if you're after a break from city life or life in general Molly's cottage is a great choice. It's a recently renovated cottage that's been decorated to a high standard with all mod cons, it retains original features which is a very nice touch. A very spacious property considering it is a one bedroom property, the open plan kitchen/diner and lounge is great! Also the bathroom is a lovely addition to an already well thought out cottage. The road leading to the property is quite steep so bare that in mind. Many thanks to Pauline and we will see you again soon! Regards Harry & Jo

    Harry2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Pauline's place is adjacent to her farmhouse in the lovely landscape around Hebden Bridge. It is well designed and built ensuring a very warm and cosy stay.

    Daniel2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • WOW this place was just amazing. The photos do not do it justice. The bath is to die for, living room and bedroom are super cosy and the kitchen has everything you need. Pauline was super quick to reply and Hebden Bridge is the perfect weekend for a relaxing getaway. If you’re thinking of booking, just do it, you won’t regret it. We can’t wait to return!

Enjoy time away in my beautiful large peaceful attic bedroom. The room is light and south facing with fantastic views over Hebden Bridge. Just a few minutes walk into town or woods. Tea and coffee making in your room. En suite wc and sink. Longer stays welcome. If you are using instant book please tell me a bit about yourself at the same time and the reason for your visit.
I live in a beautiful Victorian terraced house on a quiet street with easy access to town and country. My house is spacious, welcoming and well equipped and you will feel at home when you are here. Also the room is beautiful and private and the views are spectacular.
Hebden Bridge needs no introduction! I live here not only because of its physical beauty but also because of its culture, people and access to nature. The woods are literally five minutes walk from my house but it's also only 10 minutes to walk into town and experience life there. Plenty to do during the day and evening: cafes, theatre, wine bars, cinema, fair trade shopping, pop up arts events; festivals ; Trades Club. Or just sit by the river and enjoy the water and the people who pass by. Great food for vegetarians, vegans and carnivores both here and in our neighbouring town of Todmorden.
  • Quiet and comfortable night in a lovely home. Highly recommend!

    Daniel2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is a really spacious room with a jaw-dropping view which has to be the best thing to wake up to. It was also warm and cosy which is important considering much of the week it was around freezing outside. Liz was thoughtful and considerate of my needs. This is lovely if you are looking for somewhere peaceful and quiet, and central to the town.

    Adele2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Unique opportunity to stay in famous style of double decker house, great view, stylish facilities, immaculate bathroom, aesthetically pleasing room. Liz is charming and helpful, generous to a fault.

    Mary2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Liz was a really kind host, full of great tips! The room is really lovely and the bed is very comfortable. Great location, just ten minutes walk to centre of Hebden Bridge, and glorious view from the bedroom. Would recommend, and would stay again.

  • Had a great holiday and stay at Garry's cottage. Location is great on a quiet street and close enough for us to walk to nearby pubs and shops. Plus convenient to make our way into Hebden Bridge for a day out. The cottage itself was warm, even in Winter, thanks to radiators in every room and we were also greeted warmly for our check-in. Would definitely suggest a stay at the cottage if you're looking to explore the area and its scenery.

    Megan2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely cottage which is very cosy and comfortable. The welcome from Marjorie was very warm and the items of food and drink that were there for us to use were very welcome. The place was very clean and tidy, the beds were good, and although it is not a large house there is certainly adequate space for four people. Parking on the street might be tight on occasion but we didn't have any problems. There was plenty of information on things in the locality, including a guide to a very scenic one hour walk straight from the front door, which we enjoyed. Although there is no wi-fi the 4G signal is good. We would definitely be happy to stay here again.

    William2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts, amazing stay. Excellent and quick at resolving problems.

  • Rose Grove felt like a home away from home and had everything we needed for a long weekend away. Perfectly situated on a quiet street and within walking distance of the town and train station. The house itself oozed rustic charm but remain comfy especially the beds which were super comfy. Marjorie the host was fantastic and very caring and accommodating. Would definitely recommend and return.

  • Beautiful home and fabulous location. Such a lovely place, from the movie room to the bathroom. Excellent location for a walk and only 30 mins walk into Hebden. Highly recommend George’s place.

    Kirsty2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Property is exactly as described. Log burner, double bath, cinema room with lazyboy sofas, mood lighting, music were all awesome, beds were comfy, remote control lighting and heating were great. Place was spotless. Host was relaxed and very helpful. We had a slight hicup on checkin but that was minor and just one of those things. Staircases are steep and need care. We will be booking again but for a longer stay next time.

    Steve2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my partner enjoyed a quiet, undisturbed and relaxing stay at George's house. I cannot fault George as a host, he was polite, prompt, accommodating and helpful. The property is stylish, well equipped and adorned with high quality fixtures and fittings. The modern gadgetry throughout was novel, I don't personally use Alexa & Sonos but found the experience intriguing. I must say this airbnb is primarily someone's dwelling... From the photos, listing and price range however I was expecting perhaps a less lived in accommodation. But this is the airbnb experience and overall I cannot grumble with our stay because our time there was perfect and George is a decent host.

    Danny2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely stay! Very beautiful and cozy house! It was pleasure to stay here! 🤩🤩🤩 Home cinema, amazing bathroom, spacious rooms, fireplace! It has everything you need and even more! A traditional weavers cottage in the hill top village of Midgley overlooking the Calder Valley. An ideal location for hill walking, fell running, cycling or just relaxing in a beautiful setting. A short walk away from Midgley Moor with it's historic standing stones and burial chambers, or a short distance from Hebden Bridge with it's independent shops, cafe's and restaurants. Ideal for a weekend away in a traditional Yorkshire Stone cottage with mullion windows. Well behaved dog welcome.
66 Towngate is a cosy cottage with underfloor heating downstairs. The house is practical and comfortable. The views are absolutely stunning and although the cottage is just below the moor, access to Hebden Bridge and Mytholmroyd is very good.
Midgley is a small hilltop village. The people are very friendly. You will meet the locals, dog walkers, mountainbikers and horse riders. The local shop is run by very helpful volunteers from the area. Next to the shop is the community room which is open at times for tea and cake or an evening talk or quizz.

This character cottage is a 10-15 walk from the centre of Hebden Bridge with street parking outside. The property has been recently renovated to a very high standard and includes all amenities of a functioning home. The accommodation has beautiful period features with some modern twists. Facilities include two bedrooms both with double beds, a bathroom with large shower, open spacious kitchen/living room, beautiful garden and plenty of storage inside and out. !!!DOG FRIENDLY!!!
The walk into Hebden Bridge can be done along the scenic canal, with a café and award winning pub just around the corner. Hebden Bridge is a thriving town recently voted the UK's most unspoilt and best independent shopping town.
Originally Hebden Bridge was seen as a "Hippie Hideout" but as the town has changed so has it's residents and visitors. It is now becoming increasingly cosmopolitan and bohemian as artists, performers and the LGBTQ community started following in the footsteps of the first hippies. The town is becoming increasingly popular with tourists/walkers/bikers etc. Furthermore, Hebden Bridge has recently been voted the UK's most unspoilt and best independent shopping town.
  • Lovely, cosy, warm cottage and only a 10 minute walk into Hebden Bridge. Two lovely pubs en route to punctuate the journey!

    Phil2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • We really loved our stay at Calderside Cottage, the house was absolutely lovely and homely and perfect for us as a quiet retreat for the night to take our dog on some local walks and take in the beautiful views of the surrounding area. The house was spotlessly clean, you would not know the house accepts dogs! The little touches and nice artwork around the house were really cool and added to homely feel. We had a walk up to Stoodley Pike and next day to Hardcastle Crags (both of which a 10 min drive to) We would definitely recommend for a quiet night away. Alex was a great host, we had no issues with the house but was always on hand to help if needed with quick responses to messages and helpful info offered. We plan on coming back very soon!

    Liam2020-03-20T00:00:00Z

Brand new detached, purpose built holiday accommodation with private off road parking. Situated in Mytholmroyd on the outskirts of Hebden Bridge. This is a perfect base to explore the surrounding area - beautiful walks, superb cafes, independent shops, real ale pubs, great music venues, restaurants and an independent cinema.
  • Just spent the weekend at Lisa’s cottage and what a delight it is. The cottage is immaculate and everything is new and very stylish. It’s in a quiet situation and very private. We walked into Hebden Bridge a couple of times by the canal taking us approx 30 mins. Taxi is only about 5mins. We also walked to the small restaurant Aux Delices about 5mins away which is a lovely place to eat I would definitely recommend. Lisa was quick to respond to any questions I had about the place. Everything was perfect. Thank you for a lovely stay Lisa.

    Danielle2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • The place was well situated (really close to shops) clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed.. couldn’t fault anything!

    Caroline2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • My wife and I had 3 nights here with our 2 year old son and we had a fantastic stay. The place looks great on the listing but it's even better in reality. The house was spotlessly clean and felt brand new throughout. It's in a great spot to get into Hebden Bridge as well as Eureka and Peace Hall in Halifax. The bits for my son were great - the books and games etc. I have stayed in maybe a dozen similar sort of places with him and found nothing like that. Its beautifully furnished and the kitchen has all the bits you need. The heating is easy to use and works perfectly. The chocolates and biscuits on arrival were a lovely touch. I strongly advise you stay here.

    Jack2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Lisa is a very friendly person, and she is always online. You can find her if you have any questions. We stayed for three nights in a beautiful cottage. The house was more beautiful than the photos. It was very clean. The location is one from Manchester and York. Hours by car, there are also supermarkets in the surrounding area, in general, it is a very cost-effective place

Attached to Little Nook Farm, the cottage is the perfect base to escape city life. Located in the beautiful Pennine countryside, it is situated on the edge of the Calderdale way above Hebden Bridge, with stunning views over the hilltop village of Old Town, and across the valley towards Heptonstall. The perfect location for walking or cycling on the moors and surrounding area, and we are approximately one mile from the centre of Hebden Bridge.
Little Nook Farm is the home of Gareth & Siobhan. Their home is shared by the resident horses, whom are more than happy to have an ear scratch or a head stroke. There are also numerous chickens and ducks, and the farm pets; Otis, the dog and Milo, Gerty & Chester, the friendly farm cats. The cottage has an open plan living and dining area, which includes a wood burning stove to supplement the electric heaters. A beautiful cast iron spiral staircase leads off the living area to the mezzanine, which houses the sleeping area and en-suite shower and toilet. • We had a lovely time at Little Nook Farm. The place was so wonderfully cosy, especislly with the stove lit and with the wind and rain howling outside. The views from the panoramic windows are incredible, looking out over the moors to Heptonstall and Stoodley Pike (which we walked to fron the cottage, about 9.5 miles round trip). We love this part of the world and Little Nook Farm is the ideal place to enjoy it from!

  • A hidden gem! Had such a lovely weekend away. Can not recommend enough!! Also the pub at the bottom of the hill serves the best pie we’ve ever had. We can’t wait to come back soon!

  • This was such a unique place, we loved the cost vibe of the cottage, spectacular views, adorable tiny house atmosphere but lacking nothing. Beautiful location and short walk/drive into Hebden Bridge where there was so many different boutiques, bars and restaurants to choose from. Would definitely love to come again!

A beautifully restored and furnished luxury cottage for two in the funky town of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. Superking sized bed, roll top bath and lots of exposed York stone make this a cosy, romantic retreat.
The cottage is set over three floors and features a cosy sitting room with cast iron gas stove, a small but well equipped kitchen, utility with additional shower and a first floor offering a luxury bathroom and bedroom with solid oak flooring and original features.
Hebden Bridge is pretty unique and is a great place to visit. It offers the best of both worlds; the surrounding countryside offers miles of beautiful walks and is a great base for mountain biking and road cycling. The town is always buzzing, offering plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs, independent shops and the famous Trades Club for live music.
  • Gorgeous little space, good communication and awesome amenities. The location was fantastic and we enjoyed exploring the local area before relaxing in front of the fire with our very tired dog! Would recommend this place!

    Nicola2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully designed space, perfect for a stay for 2 to explore the local area and lovely town of Hebden. Fantastic view from the bath and kitchen! Very clean and stylish, great shower.

    Liz2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Fabulous cosy cottage in an excellent location for the centre of Hebden Bridge. Lovely comfortable bed and gorgeous bath. Easy and helpful communication with Jonathan and lots of thoughtful extras like bathrobes. Loved it!

    Julia2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A really lovely cottage, interesting and stylish. The downstairs utility room is really useful in bad weather for drying clothes. Good views from the windows. A convenient location for popping in and out of the centre but also easy to walk into the hills, there's a good path just on the other side of the road that goes up through a wood.

    Jennie2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely place just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Beautiful space and perfect for our weekend break with the dog. Will be back.

    Alistair2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A beautiful, clean and well-appointed cottage retreat, right in the heart of Hebden Bridge. It's a really comfortable base from which to explore the wilds of West Yorkshire, including Hardcastle Crags (only 20 mins walk away). Jonathan was a really attentive host, and the helpful welcome pack was a lovely touch. There are a number of steep stoney stairs in the property, so it's not an ideal choice if you have mobility problems, but we loved it and we can't wait to visit again!

    Leanne2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second stay at Jonathans place. Its the perfect location. I wouldn't look for anywhere else to stay in Hebden. It has all we need. Thanks again.

Set in the steep and stunning Luddenden Valley within 13 hectares of beautiful Calderdale countryside, Jerusalem Farm Barn is a barn conversion set close to Jerusalem Farm Campsite and is surrounded by a landscape of woodland valleys and high moorland plateaux. With a welcoming atmosphere and accessibility-friendly facilities, Jerusalem Farm Barn is a perfect place to enjoy the local nature reserve, which provides a safe haven for woodland birds, woodpeckers, herons and deer.
Jerusalem Farm Barn was created with people with accessibility needs in mind. The barn is fully accessible for wheelchair users and has facilities including a hoist which runs from the bedroom to fully accessible en suite bathroom and profiling bed . With its own extensive network of footpaths, Jerusalem Farm Barn also makes an ideal base from which to access the wider countryside, which is largely protected for its breeding bird population and can be easily accessed by foot or push bike through an extensive and well marked network of public rights of way. The camp site and the spacious grassy areas below the barn are also accessible by wheelchair. Situated between Halifax and Hebden Bridge, the site is perfect for exploring the surrounding South Pennines, an area rich in both natural and industrial archaeology. The mill towns of Sowerby Bridge and Mytholmroyd (the birthplace of former Poet Laureate Ted Hughes) are nearby, with Hebden Bridge particularly good for day trips, with cafés, galleries and a grand old picture house. Haworth, home of the Brontës, is just a few miles over the moors. "Eureka!", The National Children’s Museum in Halifax (for big and little kids) can be reached in around 20 minutes as can the Grade I listed Piece Hall. The green oasis of Shibden Estate with its park and hall, soon to be seen on TV in the BBC/HBO drama Gentleman Jack. Jerusalem Farm is owned and operated by Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council
Jerusalem Farm is set in the picturesque Luddenden Valley. This community is dominated by small cottages and farms, and has a extensive network of footpaths which included the nationally recognised trails The Calderdale Way and Pennine Way. Two small villages can be located in the Luddenden Valley. Luddenden with Grade II listed Lord Nelson Pub, once regularly frequented by the famous Branwell Bronte, and Midgley which its community run local shop.
  • This is great if you want to get away from it all. Having no phone signal was a bonus as we all talked to each other and played games. We enjoyed nature being literally on our doorstep. Any questions we had were answered very promptly. We are looking forward to returning in the future.

    Alexandra2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect property for my elderly Mum with mobility issues. Also large communal space for everyone to be together, especially liked that the kitchen area was open plan so if like me you end up doing the cooking you don't feel detached from the rest of the party.

  • Fantastic place to stay in a magnificent setting. This is my second year staying here and it was perfect in every way. The accessibility features such as hoist and electric bed made the perfect place to stay even better. Can't wait to stay again soon

Lovely bright 1 bedroom underdwelling 2 minutes from the beautiful river walk that takes you to Hardcastle Craggs. It is 10 minutes walk to the centre of Hebden Bridge, where there are many cafes, restaurants, independent shops, real ale pubs, great music venues, an independant cinema and of course the canal. My home is a cosy, dog-friendly space and I hope you will think of it as your home for the duration of your stay.

  • Janet's home is beautifully clean and tidy. As it is her home it's also very personal. Janet is a thoughtful host, she provided bread milk and eggs for breakfast and scones and clotted cream and she was there to greet me when I arrived. It was comforting to know she was only 5 minutes round the corner. The cottage is only 6 minutes walk from the Town Hall and 20 mins to the station. Perfect for a quiet weekend.

    Anna2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful two nights in Janet’s lovely home. Check in was easy following great communication with Janet. The home was typical of Hebden Bridge and we really liked its character. Location was super for a short walk into the town centre and to access the river walk up to Hardcastle Crags. The fresh scones, jam and cream Janet left for us were a particular treat along with organic bread, eggs, milk and other supplies - a lovely touch, Thank you.

  • We had a wonderful stay at Jan’s traditional Hebden Bridge house. We loved the homemade scones & other personal touches. Good shower and big fluffy towels. Kitchen is very well equipped with spotlessly clean cooker and appliances. Very warm and cosy and in the perfect location, on a quiet street which is a short wander into a charming quirky and interestingly historic market town. We hope to stay at Jan’s again :)

    Henry2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Janet’s place is a cosy one bedroom terrace in a great location for exploring Hebden Bridge. Janet was a great host and was there to meet us when we arrived. We were left fresh scones a cake and some essentials for our stay. Would not hesitate in recommending this property.

  • Ingrid's place is in a great location, 5 minutes walk from Hebden Bridge town centre. There is on street parking by her home though the train station is only 15 minutes walk away. The house is magical with querky character and stunning views from the air bnb bedroom window. Ingrid is warm and welcoming and every bit the superhost. In an area like Hebden Bridge with plenty to do and see, Ingrid's place is a perfect base and we hope to stay again soon.

  • Jill is an amazing host with a property to match. The cottage has everything you need inside it, and it is located on a private and peaceful plot of land. You can park your car right outside the door, and it has a nice big garden for dogs to play in. The cottage is immaculate and we loved the little surprise treats Jill left for us on our arrival including the dog biscuits for our dogs Coco and Lucky. We had a lovely few days staying at this property and would recommend it. There are plenty of places to eat near by, and we enjoyed visiting Todmorden and Hebden Bridge. Thank you Jill!x

  • This place is a real gem! Lovely welcome touches like treats for the dog, milk and tea bags as well as chocolate for us. Nice decor with everything you need and no fussy clutter. Great setting. Wonderful walks. The alma inn was great and welcomed the dog. Hosts on hand if you need them but totally respected our privacy too. I would highly recommend this place and would like to return when the weather is brighter.

  • Jill and Matts place was amazing. Everything from the location to the communication was 5 stars. We booked a last minute weekend away to explore the area with the dog. And it didn’t disappoint. Jill and Matt were so thoughtful, messaging exact directions, leaving us a welcome gift and even leaving the dog some treats and her own towel. The cottage was spotless, it had everything you could possibly need and more. Jill and Matt were both available on the phone should we need anything. We would 100% recommended this place. So much so, we’re going to book again in a few weeks and my parents are looking at staying too, thank you so much to both of you. Ricky, Rebecca and Cleo xx

  • Lovely , cosy little cottage in an idyllic location. There are some beautiful walks in the surrounding area....perfect for dogs!! There are some lovely touches with Jill providing all the essentials that you need in the cottage such as tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and everything needed to cook. Some really useful tips on the local area and good internet and TV......we will return and I highly recommend

  • Very helpful host from the start of the booking to the departure, even allowing us an extra hour to check out. All the little things that you normally have to take away with you for a weekend were supplied ie cooking oil, kitchen towel, toilet roll, hand soap, towels and even a towel for the dog (although I took my own as never imagined these would be provided). A welcome pack which we devoured, this included milk, chocolate, cakes, sweets and biscuits for the dog. The cosy cottage was spotlessly clean, it felt as though we were the first people to stay in a newly renovated place, even though we were not! Very impressed and would highly recommend. Excellent value for money.

  • This cottage is perfect for a small family like ours (with a toddler and a 4-year old). The space is super clean, cosy and child friendly. Kitchen has everything one needs for a short stay and more. We particularly enjoyed the stunning walks and local pub. Having the tv in the lounge helped us relax with the little ones at night after long days out. The location is perfect for both urban and countryside experiences. We couldn’t recommend this place more. Jill is a fantastic host.

Rose Cottage is a cosy home on the hills above popular market town Hebden Bridge. Classic décor with modern appliances and warm open fire.
The house is 250 years old and south facing, situated on a old pack horse route. The cottage has classic décor with modern appliances and a warm open fire over looking beautiful countryside. Pet friendly and perfect for walking holidays or exploring the town! 3 bedrooms including master bedroom with king size bed, double bedroom and 3rd floor king size single bed. Modern house bathroom. Wood and coal provided for the fire (up to a reasonable amount, please provide your own If staying longer than 7 nights) Parking for up to 3 cars outside the house. Full house manual and instructions provided upon arrival. Pets accepted. The house central heating only works when a fire is lit, so may be a little cold upon arrival, there are wall mounted electrical heaters for each room to help. The house also runs on an Immersion boiler - Press button on heater, it will do a few showers or one bath and then press it again if needed, takes 20 mins.
Hebden Bridge is on the Yorkshire side of the Pennine Hills. Not long ago, it was a small mill town producing wool and woollen goods. By the end of the sixties, the town was in bad shape. Shops were empty and blocks of terraced houses were being pulled down. • During the seventies and eighties the town was repopulated by a motley mixture of artists, writers, photographers, musicians, alternative practitioners, teachers, green and New Age activists and more recently, wealthier yuppy types. The area has a rich literary history. The Bronte sisters wrote their famous novels just a few miles away in Haworth, the American poet, Sylvia Plath is buried at Heptonstall on the hill overlooking Hebden Bridge and the poet laureate, Ted Hughes was born in Mytholmroyd, two miles away. • Hebden Bridge was an obvious destination for those wanting to escape the cities because life here can be a fine mixture of the urban and rural. The water from the hills powered the first mills of the Industrial Revolution. Yet, ten minutes from the town centre and you can be walking alone by the river in one of the many wooded valleys. A half an hour's walk uphill and you can be rambling across heather moorland.
  • We spent two months at this beautiful home while we looked for more permanent housing. It is bigger than it looks from the outside, comfortable, cozy, and clean. It is a bit of a hike to Hebden town center (and even harder getting up the steep hill going back), but worth it for the spectacular views and the privacy. There is also a convenient bus and taxis for about £4. Very nice neighbors, a well-provided kitchen, up-to-date appliances. It is an old stone house, so slippers are highly recommended, but the heaters work well (if a bit slowly) and the fireplace is lovely. Jourden was a kind and very responsive house manager, and we were delighted to find a place that didn't mind our (3!) cats. We will miss the lane and the views!

    Heather2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay here. Everything was super clean, it’s a close drive to Hebden but you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere when you look out of the window. I recommend this place and for sure would come back. The central heating system isn’t in use, but each room has a wall-mounted electric heater which works great. We lit a fire a couple of evenings which was lovely.

  • Great hospitality and a very comfortable bed, in a nice family home. I’d highly recommend Amy’s place, it was just perfect for us and only around a mile and a half from the centre of Hebden Bridge, which is where we needed to be last night.

    Anthony2019-06-30T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed 1 night and although we didn't talk much, it was a nice room to stay in and everything was clean. No complaints, would happily stay there again.

Private self-contained studio flat in stone cottage. The space has a double bed, 2 comfortable chairs, dining table and chairs, fireplace with electric stove, central heating. There is a small kitchen area with sink, kettle, toaster, combination microwave/oven/grill and fridge. There is a shower room with wash basin, loo and electric shower.
This is a 'granny flat' located on the ground floor of a family house. It is completely separate from the rest of the house, although it is on the same central heating system. It's got everything you would want for a short or even long stay, with a kitchen and dining space and comfortable seating area. The space is perfect for short or long stays. We offer a discount on stays of a week or more. Check in is after 12 noon, but we can be flexible, contact us if you want to arrive earlier, it may be possible. Check out is 11am, similarly talk to us if you want to stay longer than that.
This is a lovely quiet neighbourhood, it feels like a village on the outskirts of Halifax. We look out over the valley, and are on the edge of lovely woods. We're very close to the iconic Wainhouse Tower and are surrounded by lovely countryside and parks. There is a Tesco within a few minutes walk, and lots of good places to eat and drink nearby, including the wonderful Big 6 pub. If you want ideas about places to eat please ask us. The Tower House Hotel is a very short walk away - handy if you are attending a wedding or event there but don't want to stay at the hotel.
  • Staying at Anne and John's place was so relaxing! I had an entire flat to myself which was brilliant because I needed to get a lot of work done. Anne and John are super kind. They left me to myself but were always available to answer any questions I had. They know loads about the area and are always up for a nice chat. Anne even agreed to let me use her washing machine because I was going to travel on after check-out, which is amazing, not everybody is OK with that. The view is amazing, you can see the entire valley and Sowerby Bridge at the foot of the hill. And the bed was the most comfortable one I've ever slept in. Definite recommendation from me, if you come to Halifax or Sowerby Bridge, stay with Anne, you'll be well looked after.

The flat is in a peaceful location, spotlessly clean, and the bed is very comfortable. In short, a lovely base for a holiday in an area which has lots of interesting places to visit.

  • This is a beautiful apartment in a great location. Although very central and just a step from the town centre and station, it is very quiet and looks out on the canal. Paula and Becky are very welcoming and helpful hosts and have catered to every need of their guests from a delicious breakfast to welcome biscuits for my dog.

The instructions for how to find the flat were spot on, and the flat itself is absolutely gorgeous, in a fantastic location. Both Paula and Becky were so welcoming, and had so many lovely little touches in the flat for guests. The room was beautiful, and we both slept so well. Meeting Tash was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend, and hope to return soon. Thanks to both!

Misty Lady is an idyllic retreat in the heart of the bustling town of Hebden Bridge. The fabulously comfortable and delightfully quirky Misty Lady is a newly-renovated 1960s wide beam boat full of character. With its own mooring on the Rochdale Canal this is a great location for exploring the wild and romantic Yorkshire Pennines and the beautiful Calder Valley. It is an ideal stop-off for the Pennine Way.
Newly-renovated with a nod to its sixties heritage, Misty Lady is a very comfortable home-from-home with luxury bedding, a cosy stove and a fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is stocked with the essentials ready for your stay - fresh milk, eggs, quality teas and fresh coffee, plus cooking basics such as oil, flour, sugar, etc. We have an honesty mini bar. Just pop your payment in the pot! And let us know if there is anything you'd like us to put in the fridge ready for your arrival. ** PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS A BOAT not a house! (We are stating the obvious, I know) Think of it as very luxurious glamping. In places headroom is limited** Sorry folks, but the boat is NOT SUITABLE for large groups of adults, big family reunions, hen parties, stag parties etc. The boat is in a peaceful setting and our neighbouring boaters enjoy the peace and quiet :)
Hebden Bridge is famed for its funky and creative nature. Packed full of independent shops and bustling with a fantastically varied programme of events and activities, this small town in the heart of the Pennine hills will not cease to surprise you. And if it is fresh air, exercise and dramatic scenery that you're after, it is all there on your doorstep just begging to be explored!
  • A unique place to stay with all necessary amenities and more. Definitely recommend

  • Without a doubt my best Airbnb experience to date. Lucy went above and beyond to make our stay here as special as possible. Hebden Bridge is such a beautiful part of the world filled with quaint shops, lovely food, scenic walks and friendly people. And Misty Lady was there perfect home from home to go back to, comfortable warm and welcoming. 100% recommended 😊💕

    Molly2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great service from Lucy, the boat wast clean and had everything and more that you could need. Would definitely stay here again.

  • This was an absolutely lovely stay and what a gorgeous boat! We'd love to come back in the summer and drink some wine canal side - also a fabulous bed and so comfy! The Thai restaurant is lovely and we really enjoyed Callum's micro pub and going to the cinema in the day time. Gorgeous place to visit! Thanks Lucy! Emma and Ian xx

    Emma2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Brilliant little boat - my partner and I stayed for three nights. Easy to find, close to town, lot's to see and do there. The boat itself is small but for two there was more than enough room to live like locals for three nights. The coal burner is beautiful, and the mini bar and other provided hospitality items were a real surprise. If you've never been on a barge before like my partner and I, I'd recommend giving it a go. Fantastic weekend. Lucy was easily contactable over the booking process, and kindly messaged us on the first night of the stay to check we were in ok. Book it up and get onboard.

    James2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Wow wow wow what a wonderful place to stay. The boat is such a great location for town and Lucy has given so much thought and detail to everything you would need during your stay. We will be back :-)

    Adele2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • An absolute little gem in the heart of Hebden Bridge! I am writing this on behalf of my parents who stayed here last weekend and said it was the best weekend they have had in a long time. The Misty Lady is situated in the perfect spot in Hebden, it is clean and has everything you need. The bed was very comfy and I posted some decorations for Lucy to put up on the boat as it was my Dad's 50th and that was all done for when they arrived. They loved every second! When they first arrived, the boat was freezing, but as soon as they put the fire on, it heated up within minutes. They are already looking to come back in the summer! My Dad sent me a picture eating his breakfast in the sunshine on the boat, watching a kingfisher sat at the end of the boat and the geese having a bath - how perfect is that! We all ate at Rim Nam Thai just around the corner on the Saturday night too which I would recommend - a 10 minute walk from the Misty Lady and the food is incredible! I just wanted to say a huge thanks to Lucy too for being super responsive throughout the experience. This was my first Air BnB experience too and I was very impressed. Lucy has set the bar very high now!

Geoff’s Place A cosy little retreat for two. Geoff’s hous is a traditional Hebden Bridge terrace cottage. Our little house has just been fully refurbished (Sept 2019) Its on a private track with its own tiny front garden, so no traffic noise to wake you in the early hours, just the sound of the birds singing in the woods below.
Hebden Bridge has the best of every thing. it's got art; it's got history; its got bars(lots of them); its got resturants; its got excellent rail links to Leeds, Manchester, and York. its also got stunning countryside and wonderful warm people, what more could you want.
  • Geoffs house is a real treasure ,it has everything you need for a short break ,its quintessential, extremely clean and welcoming ,we loved it thankyou

  • The perfect size for a couple looking to visit Hebden Bridge, Geoff's place is superbly located, being just a short walk to town and with beautiful countryside on the doorstep. It was clean and tidy. Jeanette was also very helpful with recommendations for places to eat/drink in the local area.

  • Jeannette’s place is a lovely little up and down dwelling with everything that you need for a comfortable stay with great internet, TV, and a lovely little electric fireplace which makes it so homey, especially on cold and rainy days. It’s about a 20 minute walk from the train station with some fairly steep roads which are a bit rough in spots. Only about an 8 minute walk to the town centre which has a lot of cafe’s, pubs and local shopping. The market is a great place to buy local produce. Even in the few days that we spent in Hebden Bridge we could feel the pride the residents had in their town. Stunning countryside views with lots of history. Take your walking boots.

  • I could not have been more cosy or comfortable in Shirley's home. She is a natural host, warm and welcoming. And very kind. She even took me swimming with her when my other plans fell through. And let me use her kitchen. The room had everything I needed and felt like a haven to return to. The house is a few minutes walk from a bus stop - there are buses every half hour to Hebden Bridge which go to the station so you don't need a car. A beautiful stone built cottage , built in the 1800’s set just above the stunning Calder Valley in the village of Midgley . There are popular restaurants and public houses within a mile and also local shops for whatever is needed. The local attractions just to mention a few are the tourist area of Hebden Bridge , Hardcastle Crags, Haworth ( Bronte country) and nearby Halifax of which is packed with historical buildings such as the Piece Hall which has had a multi million pound ‘ makeover ‘.
The cottage is unique in its layout of which there are 2 separate houses with an adjoining door . It is made up of a 2 storey cottage with a single and double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen/ diner and spacious lounge. Through the adjoining door is a single storey cottage with a double bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. Each has its own TV , kitchen utilities which would appeal to couples or families that need a bit of space but alternatively would also be able to socialise together in the larger part of the cottage. The single storey bungalow has a unique design allowing light into the cottage through velux windows and part glassed walls which makes for a wonderful airy feel to the space.
This property is set in a small village just above the Calder Valley with a village shop 2 minutes walk away . There are regular buses and fabulous scenery on the doorstep for lovely walks around the stunning countryside. It is a walkers paradise but never far from some great eateries and nightlife in the nearby towns and villages, everything you would need close by.

There is a downstairs bedroom with its own bathroom, sitting room and fully equipped kitchen and then there is the main part with two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, and the main sitting room and kitchen downstairs. Peter and Yvonne have restored the cottages beautifully, making it a great place to stay. Peter met us when we arrived and took his time showing us around and explaining everything and making sure that we knew we could contact him anytime during our stay if we felt the need. In fact, on our last night, we thought we had tripped a fuse and phoned Pete and explained what had happened. Pete was there within 10 minutes and had everything sorted within a few minutes. The cottage is close to Hebden Bridge which is a fascinating and lively little town and also close to the Dales for walks in the beautiful countryside. The friendliness of our hosts and the cleanliness and standard of the accommodation make this a perfect place to stay.

  • Lovely dog friendly cottage in a beautiful, quiet area of Yorkshire. We stayed here for our son's graduation and found it convenient to travel to not only Leeds but lots of different attractions (Shibdon Hall, St Aidans's RSPB sanctuary, Piece museum) The cottage is beautifully restored and very comfortable with everything you need. Peter is a very genial host and super helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and would return.

Fabulous studio flat just a few minutes walk from Hebden Bridge centre. There is a combined bedroom/living room, shower room and compact kitchen area with microwave oven, fridge, freezer and everything you need for your mini break, including teas, coffees and breakfast cereals. There are books, board games and a TV/Radio with DVD player. On street parking is available 10 to 20 meters from the front door. The Cabin' is quirky and cosy. Simply gorgeous!
We have converted the ground floor of our home into a mini apartment. It has privacy mirror glass to ensure you enjoy our cosy hideaway. There’s seating outside in a small garden area and fantastic views of Hebden Bridge and the valley. We would like to assure all guests that, particularly at this time of coronovirus, your stay at The Cabin will be safe and enjoyable. Between guests The Cabin will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, following Air BNB guidelines due to coronavirus. Bedding and towels will be washed in high temperatures, frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected, a box will be left by the entrance for outer garments to be placed in. You can request to use the washer and dryer if need be. We have new super comfy swivel chairs so you can watch TV or enjoy the amazing view over Hebden Bridge town. There are books, games, DVDs, TV, radio and a small kitchen. We provide milk, snacks, cereals and a full range of teas and coffees. Local restaurants are offering delivery and take outs. Hebden Bridge is a rural town in a beautiful valley offering amazing views over woods and moors. You can walk or cycle directly from The Cabin up hills to Stoodley Pike ( look for the Honesty Hut) or Hardcastle Craggs. There are scenic flatter routes along canals and rivers. If it’s warm enough there is seating outside The Cabin. All the best from your hosts, Stella and Toby.
In Hebden Bridge we pride ourselves on acceptance and inclusion. The 'village' has many amenities you would normally find in a city (theatre, independent cinema, railway station) but within a beautiful country setting. The village has 3 rivers and one canal, and many small woods. There are festivals and events throughout the year. To find out more contact the tourist information web site or Hebden’s own web site: HEB WEB The valley is superb for cycling and walking plus it has a lively cafe culture and a variety of wine bars and pubs with quirky independent shops and art galleries. Nearby are Howarth, Heptsonstall, Holmfirth, Todmorden and Halifax with the fantastic Piece Hall and Anne Listers home, Shibden Hall, all worth a visit.
  • This was my first experience with airbnb and I am probably now spoilt as this was such a lovely place to stay. I especially appreciated the snacks and eco washing up liquid and small touches that made it a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend.

The cottage is in an elevated position 20 minutes walk away from Hebden Bridge. Southfacing, the light and views are fantastic. There’s a regular bus service to the end of the lane from Hebden Bridge. A friendly local’s pub nearby serves good food and fine ales. There are numerous nature filled walks from the cottage, where you encounter few other walkers. If you want to ‘get away from it all’ but also have easy access to a lovely town with excellent amenities this is the place for you.
The cottage is furnished with contemporary furniture and has recently fitted bathroom and kitchen. There is a smart TV and WiFi. There is also a washing machine and a gas stove that makes the cottage very cosy when it is cold outside. The views from the windows give a feeling of space and tranquility.
The cottage is a short distance away from Hebden Bridge with it’s eclectic range of shops, cafes, bars pubs and restaurants. There is also an independent cinema which screens all the latest films but also classics at teatime on Saturdays. Hebden is also home to the legendary Trades Club and recent acts include Marc Almond and Patti Smith. If you don’t want to venture into town there is a wonderful local pub an easy walk away where you will receive a big welcome and great food and ales. The village of Haworth is a short journey away. You can even walk there in a couple of hours. Leeds and Manchester are both easy to access, the train from Manchester being a half hour journey way. One well mannered dog will be very welcome
  • A cosy cottage tucked away at the top of the hill. A great space not too far from Hebden Bridge. It's well equipped for a weekend away and has awesome views over the valley. Beck was quick to respond to any questions and we especially loved the fireplace.

  • This is a gem of a place if you are looking for peace and quiet in glorious surroundings. The cottage is delightful, sparkling clean and just perfect. I thought I had created a disaster as soon as I arrived, by driving over the cobbled hard standing. The lovely husband of Rebecca ( sorry I can’t remember his name) sorted my mistake out and reassured me everything was fine. Lovely cottage and the most wonderful hosts.

  • Mary’s place is very nice and clean and tidy. Not to far away from Hebden Bridge or Haworth. The view is fantastic and I’m sure in the spring and summer it’s even better. She responded quickly to one question we had and from there we settled in very nicely. Definitely would recommend it.

This quirky 19th century Yorkshire town house has its original feature wooden beams and attractive Yorkshire stone fireplaces, making the unique layout both functional and funky. The views over Nutclough Mill and beyond welcome the eye as you draw the blinds each new day. Its location means that a short 4 min walk takes you to the center of Hebden Bridge where you'll benefit from all that this bustling Yorkshire town offers. The woodland walks found at each end of the road link on to a network of stunning foot paths.
The upstairs has a century (plus) old, unique, stone and iron platform fire place that has been lost from many of these similar homes. The solid wood antique bed boasts its view past the, quintessentially Hebden, tower of Nutclough Mill and across the wooded valley where in Hebden sits. The space is tastefully enriched with plants and antique wooden furniture. Beautifully curious framed art takes your eye downstairs to the large and light open living room. This too features much original charm. Its sturdy wood beams and partially exposed Yorkshire stone walls perfectly compliment the large fireplace which now has a gas stove. relax after a day exploring in the comfy leather chesterfield that opens out into the second double bed. The kitchen is at the back of the house, 'underground' yet with a window. The home above has its front door to the street up the hill to the back, typical for Hebden’s famous four-storey “top-and-bottom” houses.
Everywhere in Hebdon Bridge is lovely. Our home, we believe, is perfectly placed for all you could want from this famous little market town in the Calder Valley of West Yorkshire.
  • Lovely quirky accomodation in Hebden Bridge. Very close to town centre. Great communication with the hosts and lots of little extras. Highly recommend

  • Jen's hospitality was outstanding. Her home is so beautiful and cosy and so close to great walks (Hardcastle Crags is only a short distance from the property). Should the weather take an unexpected turn, Jen's home provides a safe haven to escape the rain. The living room is cosy and complete with blankets and a lovely fire, perfect too for relaxing in after a hearty adventure. I would truly recommend this property for anyone looking to stay in Hebden Bridge, and Jen we can't thank you enough for your hospitality.
