  • Dexter and Carol’s place is a gem in a quiet neighborhood close to downtown Montpelier (5 minute drive). The space is clean, cozy, and stylish, and the hosts clearly put in a lot of effort to make it so. Just make sure you have AWD in the Winter/early Spring, as the property is at the top of a hill on an unpaved road. We received communication from our hosts ahead of time with helpful information to navigate. Highly recommended. We would certainly stay again.

  • Dexters place was perfect for me as a place to crash while taking a timber framing course. The surrounding area is absolutely stunning and Dexter was always extremely quick to respond to any questions. I would highly recommend a stay at the barn

  • This place is great! Beautiful views, cute, clean space. Laurie and Michael were super welcoming and helpful! Plus they had a binder full of maps and lists of recommendations around the area. And the two pups chilling on the land were an added bonus :)

    Sydney2020-03-12T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie and Michael were excellent hosts! There were such thoughtful touches in the room, and the views were beautiful. It was very close to Monpelier for activities and food. Michael provided excellent recommendations for local breweries, and Laurie gave us plenty of food options. We had an amazing time - we definitely will be back!

    Edward2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie and Michael's place is just perfect for a nice getaway. Its tucked away in the mountains right by Montpelier and has a peaceful feel. Inside, the space was very clean and had so many amenities including a full kitchen, television with cable, pantry, and spacious living room with tons of local tips and guides. They were very easy to communicate with even though we had absolutely no issues during our 2-day stay. Our hosts went out of their way to give detailed directions and even consistently shoveled a space in the guest spot for us for easy parking. I definitely recommend a nice spot to stay in Vermont, especially by Montpelier which was a ton of fun to walk around and explore. I hope to be back soon this year in the non-Winter months to experience it in a completely different way.

    Tom2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We loved staying at Laurie & Michael's place. From the moment we arrived, Laurie was helpful and made us feel very welcome. The apartment was comfortable and we felt right at home. The space was decorated very nicely, too! Laurie and Michael thought of and provided everything to ensure that our stay was a great one. If we travel to Vermont again, we will definitely be inquiring to stay here again!

    Cassidy2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place to disconnect and enjoy some amazing views and tranquility in Vermont. Me and my girlfriend Elizabeth spent our Valentine’s Day at this location and it was so beautiful. The hanging lights on the stairs down to the place is such a nice touch! The town during valentine day is all set up with red hearts all over the windows of the store fronts. A++++ location we will absolutely be coming back! P.S. they have 2 Dogs who are super friendly and nice!

    Chris2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Laurie and Michael are great hosts that make you feel very at home at their place. It’s private enough but they’re very near by in case you need anything. Place was exactly as advertised and it was spotless in terms on cleanliness. The property is huge and can be explored. We went down for a weekend that we won’t be forgetting! Thanks again!

Set in the woods on Martins Brook this bright open loft has all you need to tune out, tune into nature, and just relax. From linens to wine glasses to books and games, it's all here. Conveniently located in Middlesex, VT, an outdoor adventurer and nature lovers retreat, it's a short drive to Montpelier or Waterbury. We welcome all singles or couples from across the globe to share and enjoy the peaceful serenity. NOTE: all-wheel or 4-wheel drive AND snow tires required during winter months.
THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IS SMOKE/TOBACCO/E-CIGARETTE AND VAPE FREE! NOTE: During winter weather an all-wheel or 4-wheel drive vehicle with winter tires (not all-season) is required to access this property. The Loft was built in 2018/19 over the detached garage of cohost Charles. His home is across the driveway where he lives with his two children, one who is there full time. There is also a 2-bedroom AirBnB in the basement of his house. Ten outside stairs take you up to the 800 square foot Loft. Enter into the "mudroom" where you have two closets: one to your left with hangers, flat iron and ironing board for your use; the one to your right is equipped with cleaning supplies; a washer, dryer and laundry detergent all ready for you. The queen size bed is very comfy with all linens provided and enough blankets to keep you warm. The bathroom has a full tub/shower unit, towels, soap and everything you need that you may have forgotten. The kitchen is fully equipped including a Keurig coffee maker with K-cups; basic spices and condiments; toaster; microwave; full size fridge; full size electric stove. You'll find a variety of make-your-own breakfast options which you can enjoy sitting at the island. We encourage our guests to sort out returnables/refundables, recycle (including used K-cups) and compost. Containers are marked and located under the island. The TV only plays DVDs and there is a selection for your use. You'll also find games, books and CDs. Out to the back deck you'll find a gas grill and seating to relax and listen to Martin's Brook which you have a great view of. The lawn slopes down to the brook where there's a bench as well as some great rocks to sit on and dangle your feet in the water. An outside fire area is available for all.
East Bear Swamp Road, like most dirt roads in Middlesex, has limited traffic so is well suited for walking. This property is about a mile from the Mount Hunger trail head, a very popular hike. One mile in the other direction takes you to pavement and Rumney Elementary School where you'll find tennis and basketball courts which are available when school is not in session. There is also a nature trail through the woods behind the school. Concerts are held on Wednesdays at the Gazebo (next to school) during the summer months. Less than 1/4 mile from our driveway is access to the VAST trail system. We have plenty of parking for your vehicle and snow machine trailer. Contact the VT Association of Snow Travelers, VAST, at 26 Vast Lane, Berlin, VT for information and registration requirements. Staying here you'll be just 3 miles from Wrightsville Reservoir and the town maintained beach ($). There's also a great boat launch, a nice place for both kayaks and motor boats.
  • There is a reason I keep coming back to the loft. It is the best stay I’ve had. It truly feels like home. Charles, April, and Susan go above and beyond to make this place amazing. You will not be disappointed!

    Tim2020-04-11T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing! The absolute best stay we’ve had. The loft is beautiful! So clean, so cozy, the perfect combination of modern and rustic. Charles, Susan, and April are outstanding hosts, going above and beyond to make the loft the perfect getaway. I can’t wait to get back!

    Tim2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Great getaway location for a relaxing weekend away and close to various points of interest. Would highly recommend and would revisit this stay.

    Melissa2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Unbelievable!! Honestly the best stay I’ve had. So clean, so stylish! Top end construction and fixtures. Too many niceties to list! I wish it was my home!

    Tim2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place. Highly recommended. Sparkling clean. Stylish. Well located. We loved our time in here, relaxing, romantic getaway.

    Marzena2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was cozy and clean, and there were so many thoughtful touches (homemade cookies, lots of snacks, DVDs and games) that made us feel at home straight away. It was the perfect spot for a long weekend!

    Devon2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment looked great in pictures and seeing it in person was actually even better than the pictures. As others have said, this place was extremely clean and had everything you would need for a weekend plus everything you would typically bring with you but might forget (literally had a bin of things you might forget and i actually forgot to bring a toothbrush). I've been to many AirBnBs but our experience at this apartment was the most personal (left us a personal note plus a couple goodies for our anniversary!) we've ever had and the hosts were extremely responsive if needed. The hosts left us recommendations based on our specific plans that we really appreciated! The loft is located in a very quiet neighborhood giving you all the peace you need to really get away for a few days. It was nice to have a nice porch too overlooking a stream with lots of stars at night when the sky is clear (we live near the city so this was a highlight for us!). The fridge was also stocked with basics to make breakfast and everything you would need in a kitchen. By the end of our trip we didn't want to leave so we will definitely be back and will recommend this place to our friends.

    Pedro2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing AirBnB, immaculate and well-thought out space. It's a small loft, ideal for one or two people. One would need a rugged vehicle in the winter to reach the spot, given the dirt roads and snow this area receives. The property is set on a beautiful creek/brook and is idyllic. The loft is tastefully decorated and very well equipped with whatever you may need. The owners are responsive and attentive...if only all AirBnB's were this great!

Cozy room with private entrance. Located close to I-89, our home is a 20 minute walk to beautiful downtown Montpelier. After a day of hiking, skiing, sightseeing or enjoying our many fabulous restaurants, relax on the couch and watch your favorite nexflix series on our smart tv. The downstairs bathroom is reserved for you but is in the shared living space.
We live in a quiet neighborhood about a mile from the downtown. Parking is available in our driveway.
  • Awesome host with an awesome space!

    Corbett2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Diane and Newton's space was quite comfortable with a small sitting area in the room and a bathroom just inside their living area designated exclusively for guests. We were greeted and made to feel quite welcome by Newton and their very sweet dog, Oscar. The house is a very short drive to downtown Montpelier. Definitely can recommend!

    Drew2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying here. Diane and Newton embody the warmth, kindness, and hospitality of Vermonters. We love the space - it’s comfortable and private. I’ve stayed at most of the Air B and Bs in Montpelier and there are many things I love about this place. First, what I call the “fairy lights” that lead to the entrance. They are inviting and magical. The space has windows on three sides that offer plenty of natural light. There are some lovely custom curtains when you are ready for privacy. I enjoy that there is a separate love seat and coffee table, there is a large tv with Netflix, and the bedding is lovely and inviting. It has off-street parking, which is vital during winter parking bans. There is also a sizable library of board games and also books for outdoor enthusiasts. Definitely hope to stay with them again.

    Tina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Diane's home is your home away from home. My friend and I stayed for a quick overnight trip and we both felt like we were staying with family. The space was warm and cozy on a cold Montpelier night. The location was perfect. Just a quick drive (less than 5 minutes) into the heart of town. A great spot to stay for your visit to Montpelier!

    Sarah2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • A great spot to spend the night, lots of space and plenty warm on the coldest day of winter. Having a couch in the room made it easy to relax after a long day in the snow.

    Mina2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Diane & Newton's place is beautiful! They were amazing hosts and the room was sparkling clean and very comfortable. They are just a few minutes from downtown. Their dog was adorable too! Highly recommend!

    Michael2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • My intended stay at Diane's place was thwarted by a severe winter storm which was responsible for the last minute cancellation of the event bringing me to Montpelier. Diane kept me in touch with the weather in Montpelier, and then graciously agreed to a refund - which wasn't required under AirBnB policy.

    John2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect jump off point for great places to visit in Northern Vermont. 30 mins to Sugarbush and Mad River. Montpelier has a lot of charm and great places to eat.

It's the perfect place to relax and have a staycation! Or a real vacation it's the perfect spot for snow bums, summer lovers or people who just want to experience Vermont!
This space was built by us and the help of each of our families! It is on 30 acres that we also live on. Here on the property we have bees, chickens, a small pond & brook plus more wildlife than you can imagine. It is so joyful to sit and listen to the song birds or watch the deer graze. It is a place of joy and laughter and we would love to bring others to enjoy what we get to enjoy everyday.
We love how close we are to down town but still out in the woods. We love being on a dirt road but still only one mile from pavement!
  • We had a great time and will be back again for sure! This cabin was everything we expected and more!

    Sabrina2020-03-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is a perfect spot - close to Montpelier, the Interstate and just about anything you want to do.

    Margaret & Don2020-03-20T00:00:00Z
  • Let me start of by saying we first met Leah and Dustin as they were sledding down a massive hill right off the back of bnb cabin, they were out collecting fresh honey, yes real honey and they even let us try it in the raw talk about an awesome check in process. We couldn’t of been more satisfied with this cabin it has everything you need/want from cookware to in house to laundry and even a full kitchen and a huge TV in the loft! The owners were so attentive and responded quickly regardless how ridiculous your request might be (AAA batteries) @9pm lol, but yes this place is an absolute must and worth driving to Vermont to just to stay here! The worst part was the drive up to the cabin which wasn’t even that bad hence why my reason for the 4/5 stars on location Questionnaire part if you don’t have 4 wheel drive, or you aren’t familiar with VT backcountry then you don’t belong driving up to this place it’s on an unpaved road that is hard to climb even for a RAV4! But once your there your home! Thank you guys for a great stay we will most definitely be staying here again! All the best Shane Riley

    Shane2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • A great place to stay with beautiful views out of the windows and from the outside. It really is a cozy cabin! It simultaneously felt expansive due to the high ceiling in the kitchen and the ample lighting. A great place for a getaway!

    Philip2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • What a gorgeous cabin, wish we could have stayed longer.

    Francoise2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. Leah offered to arrive on time. They left us coffee for the morning. Very comfortable bed. The premises are clean and we had inside the cabin the necessary to cook, wash the laundry, internet ... They also left us tourist information. We were there to hike and they left us a Vermont hiking guide. We will definitely be going back for another hike in the Green Mountains.

    Sami2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • What a great little cabin in a great little town! All the comforts of home and privacy. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay around Montpellier. Close to town but far enough away to feel like you’re deep in the woods.

    Joanne2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Photos don’t even begin to give justice for how beautiful Leah’s cabin is. Not too far from the town, beautifully decorated & so cozy. My boyfriend & I would love to stay there again. Thank you Leah!

  • Johannes provides a very spacious bedroom, a very comfortable double bed and a private bathroom just across the hall from the bedroom. He is very helpful with local tips and suggestions, and despite the social distancing enforced on us by the coronavirus crisis, we enjoyed some casual conversations with Johannes and his wife in their home. It is ideally located near the centre of Montpelier and easy to find.

  • Larry was there to welcome us when we arrived and even went out of his way to let us use his gas grill to prepare steak in the dead of winter. The barn was charming and located in a very picturesque and hilly landscape. Very enjoyable and would be glad to visit again.

  • Great stay - huge space, wicked friendly hosts, and great communication. Right next to the VAST trails, close to Monpelier and Stowe. We went x-country skiing both days in Montpelier, visited Waterbury and Stowe. Hot shower, really roomy space, plenty of linens, and super clean. Would definitely recommend!

    Brian2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The barn is absolutely beautiful inside and out. It is has been beautifully decorated.

    Donna2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Thank you so much! The space was very cozy, easy to find, and close to local attractions without being in the middle of a loud area. It was super cold outside but we couldn’t tell from inside our cozy little space. It was perfect for myself and my friend traveling at such odd hours through a snowstorm :) We will definitely keep in mind for the next time we are in the area!

  • My wife and I had a wonderful stay and would love to return for another trip to Stowe in the future. The property is high in the hills with distant mountain views, including Stowe on our bluebird weekend stay. Everything about the property was exactly as Tim and his wife stated in the property description. We made a few wrong turns before we found the place, but Tim had given us a heads-up that the plow guy had just knocked down the address sign so we were on alert. We've stayed at many Airbnb's over the years and this was among the best in terms of quality, amenities and value. Highly recommended!

  • Charming home away from home. Great kitchen and living room area. Many modern amenities. Host was very responsive. Would stay again.

    Michael2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful views. A short drive from the main roads. A very comfortable place. Much more relaxing than staying in a hotel

    Jens2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We love staying at Tim's place! This was our second time (you can also read my review from February 2019). He runs it in a professional manner. It is supplied with everything you need for a comfortable family stay. Clean with complete privacy. Directions and check in are clear and easy, and the listing is fairly priced. Tim is a friendly guy who responds quickly to all communications and likes to share his knowledge about the local area and about snow sports at Stowe.

  • Great location! Awesome apt to stay in!

  • Tim and his family were fantastic hosts. They have a beautiful home in a very scenic location. We look forward to our next visit!

  • A Vermont hidden gem only slightly off the beaten path between Waterbury and Stowe. The apartment is clean, updated and well equipped. Our family, including 2 teenage daughters, stayed for 8 nights and it was terrific. The hosts are even better. Very responsive and desiring to please. Provided travel tips, local insights, and went out of their way to be sure the driveway was cleared of snow & ice ahead of time. Our first Airbnb experience was even better than we could have expected for our ski vacation. Thank you Tim!

  • Thanks again Karen for a wonderful trip. Scott, Benny, Cooper and myself had such a great time. Your home was beautiful, the dogs loved having all of the space to run around. We had perfect spring likeweather and were able to visit so many delicious local breweries and restaurants. Hen of the Wood never disappoints! Your home is so centrally located that we were able to enjoy spending time in BOTH Waterbury and Stowe. Thanks again for sharing your home with us!! ☺

We brought our dog and she absolutely loved the open backyard. Karen was a great host and had great communication with us. We recommend this stay!

Nestled in the woods on Martins Brook this bright, creatively designed walk-out basement apartment has all you need to tune out, tune into nature, and just relax. From linens to wine glasses to books and games, it's all here. Conveniently located in Middlesex, VT, it's a short drive to Montpelier or Waterbury. We welcome singles to families from across the globe to share and enjoy the peaceful serenity. NOTE: Winter tires AND all-wheel or 4-wheel drive are required during winter months.
Built in 2016/17, the Brook House sits close to Martins Brook, not far from the base of Hunger Mountain. The main house is home to co-host Charles and his two children, one who is there full time. As of 2019, we also host a single bed loft AirBnB over Charles's garage. THE ENTIRE PROPERTY IS SMOKE/TOBACCO/VAPE/E-CIGARETTE FREE. NOTE: During the winter months, all-wheel drive vehicles with good snow tires are required to safely access our property. The bright basement apartment has a private entrance and plenty of parking. The larger of the two bedrooms has a queen size bed with a futon chair that folds out to a toddler bed. The smaller bedroom has two twin beds. A twin size air mattress is also available as well as a port-o-crib. All bedding provided. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans; flatware and dishes; basic spices and condiments; glasses and stemware ; Keurig coffee maker, coffee and hot coco K-cups; electric tea kettle and tea; blender; full size gas stove, refrigerator and microwave. You'll find a variety of breakfast fixings to get your day going. A flat iron and portable ironing board are located in the laundry room. There are cleaning supplies available including a vacuum. The bathroom has a spacious shower. There are plenty of towels with extras in the trunk. Hot water is provided by an "on demand" system which means you may have to wait about a minute for it to heat up. The bathroom fan moderates the humidity level in the apartment, so we ask that the door be left open when not in use. (Not necessary during colder weather when the heater is running.) The open living/dining area is decorated in a casual eclectic style which translates to "trouble free comfort". With the recent addition of a booster, WiFi is usually available. The TV only plays DVDs with a variety available, and we've an accumulation of games and books including some for coloring. Outside you'll find a gas grill and seating to enjoy the sounds of the brook. We are a smoke free family so this is a tobacco/vaping/e-cig product free property. Although we have in the past welcomed dogs, regrettably we are no longer able to do so.
East Bear Swamp Road, like most dirt roads in Middlesex, has limited traffic so is well suited for walking. This property is about a mile from the Mount Hunger trail head, a popular hike. One mile in the other direction takes you to pavement and Rumney Elementary School. When school is not in session, the playground and fields are available. There are also tennis and basketball courts as well as a nature trail through the woods behind the school. Concerts are held on Wednesdays at the Gazebo during the summer months. Less than 1/4 mile from our driveway is access to the VAST trail system. We have plenty of parking space for your vehicle and snow machine trailer. Contact the Vermont Association of Snow Travelers, VAST, at 26 Vast Lane, Berlin, VT (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN), for information and registration requirements.
  • Excellent, hospitable hosts with thoughtful details. We were a group of 3 on a ski weekend - there's a room with two single beds and another room with a queen bed. This worked out really well for us. Thanks for having us - would highly recommend!

  • Charles, Susan, and April have created a little piece of paradise. We've stayed at Airbnb's in many cities in the US and a few other countries, and this was by far the cleanest and most comfortable place we've been. They've thought of every single detail - no need is unmet!

    Diane2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a peaceful and relaxing stay off the beaten path here in Middlesex. Charles greeted us as we arrived and the apartment was perfectly set up for us: nice and toasty as the snow began to fall. The roads and the driveway were a bit tricky, but they plowed and we had snow tires so it all worked out fine. A helpful binder with lots of recommendations for eating, sightseeing and hiking was set out for us. We skied at Stowe which was a bit far (1 hr), but the apartment is only 15 minutes to Montpelier. All in all it was a lovely New Years stay!

    Mark2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had another lovely stay and will be booking here again for our next trip. The apartment is sparkling clean, the thoughtful touches are just perfect (breakfast staples in the fridge, extra toiletries just in case, home baked cookies that are delicious...) and the communication with the owners is seamless. Couldn’t recommend this apartment any more highly.

    Sara2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful apartment in a secluded area. While walking to the entrance, one can hear the stream rushing nearby. Beds are very comfy and the shower quite spacious. Slippers right inside the door make one feel at home. The delicious snacks and other amenities are a nifty bonus. I would highly recommend Charles and Sue’s house.

    Max2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Karen's space was bigger than we expected. It had a nice large living room space, a small functional kitchen and a good sized bedroom with a comfortable bed. Think mother-in-law suite. We enjoyed being able to spread out a bit for our two-night stay to explore Montpelier. It was clean and had nice morning sunshine. It also had easy access as you could park right by the door. Karen was a great host making sure we had the most up to date information of what was going on around Montpelier. We don't often stay in Montpelier on our trips to VT but would consider staying again if we do in the future.

    John2020-03-01T00:00:00Z

  • Karen is an excellent host. She is responsive and flexible. Her place is clean and very cheerful, located minutes from the wonderfully quirky downtown of Montpelier. It was the perfect place for us to host a few family members and have the long discussions we needed to help aging parents. We had a very good outcome and I attribute some of that to the comfort of her space. We look forward to coming back for fun!

The guesthouse is neat, clean, and new. Modern 2-story guesthouse with private sauna tucked into the woods, 12 minutes from the capitol city of Montpelier. • Very clean/comfortable/convenient/safe/ all around enjoyable. The place itself is physically impressive on many fronts, and Jacob is a responsive, friendly and considerate host. The description is very accurate, and a great place to spend some time in the (not too distant) woods! Most excellent and an all around amazing experience.

  • Our time in this tiny house was absolutely perfect! The space was clean and equipped with everything we could have needed. We spent lots of time in the sauna, it was private, clean, and beautiful. Would definitely recommend it to anyone traveling in the Montpelier area.

  • Jacob’s place is a wonderful getaway hidden in the woods of Vermont but a great location for “home base “. 4wd is a must, as the road is a typical dirt road with all the challenges of snow and mud season. Peaceful, quiet and beautiful. The sauna was a special treat! Can’t wait to return.

    Patty2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is the perfect remote hideaway and base for Northern VT adventures. The space is clean, has everything you need, and the sauna is a bonus! Jacob was an excellent host, with great communication in advance and he was available if we needed anything. Definitely a place to come back to.

The house is clean and perfect place to rest at the end of an adventurous day . We went to Burlington, Montpelier and Waterbury in one day. Country setting engulfed in a flower farm only 3 minutes off 89 perfectly nestled between mountains that boast hiking, skiing and mountain biking and the best of Vermont's brewery and restaurant scene. Within 30 minutes to Sugarbush, Mad River Glen, Stowe and Bolton Valley (night skiing!) for your outdoor adventures. With Waitsfield and Waterbury being less than 15 minutes away, it's an easy drive to two of the finest breweries, Lawsons and Prohabition Pig, that Vermont has to offer.
Garage space available for one car and plenty of additional space for ski and snowboard equipment in the garage or breezeway. Sledding hill in the back perfect for fun with the kids. From February to April the owners will be accessing the basement through the outside hatch to start our annual flower plants. We will only do so from 9-4 and will not go through the house. A perk for you is an inside look at a flower farm!

Sunny, private second floor suite in an 1848 farmhouse with spectacular views overlooking Camel's Hump and the Green Mountains. Just a 5 minute drive downhill to Montpelier's charming downtown. This is a kid-friendly place! We have outdoor play structures, a pack-and-play, and a baby gate for the stairs, books, crayons, among other things. We are dog-friendly, but dogs have to be on-leash while on the property and if they're left alone in the suite they need to be crated. Come visit!
We have converted a portion of this stately house into its own private guest suite with a separate entrance. The suite consists of the following, as you walk through it from one room to the next: living room + kitchen (open layout) => a middle room (with a full-sized bed) => a bedroom (with a queen bed) => and a bathroom.
  • Gorgeous spot, quintessential Vermont!

  • Neville and Rebecca were some of the kindest hosts I’ve ever had on airbnb. They were incredibly accommodating from day 1 and provided easy and consistent communication throughout my stay. I was here for a week and really got to love the space. The views out the kitchen window are AMAZING, I loved watching the sunset every night. The location was super close to town and yet felt like nature was right nearby. The shower/bathroom was beautiful and relaxing. Amenities were plentiful (including a full kitchen to cook) and I felt right at home here. Laundry use also included in my stay. Very private, separate entrance from the main house, with the master bedroom the only part that is above their home kitchen. Would recommend and hope to be able to stay here again someday! Only wish I could have spent more time with them and their kiddos. Until next time.

  • Another great stay at Rebecca and Neville's place. I have stayed here several times now and consistently have a great experience. The apartment is very clean and comfortable, kitchen is well equipped, beds are comfy, and the bathroom and shower are very nice. The location is great and Rebecca & Neville are kind and generous hosts. Highly recommended!

    Mary2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Great place close to Montpelier's shops and restaurants while still far enough away from the center of town to be quiet and have great views of the surrounding mountains. Really nice for families - Neville & Rebecca set up a pack n' play for our daughter and had children's toys and books available.

    Anja2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Neville and Rebecca's place is the perfect place for a visit to Montpelier and the surrounding area. We loved the proximity to town, the peace and quiet of the home, and all the thoughtful touches of the host. The place was very clean, quiet and comfortable. We loved the comfy bed, the great selection of tea, and the well stocked kitchen. The views from the kitchen window of the capitol dome and the mountains were beautiful! Neville and Rebecca were also great with communication and available if needed. I would definitely recommend this apartment and would love to return next time we are in the area.

    Anne2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great space - comfortable, clean and cozy. Easy ride to downtown Montpelier, and a great walk, as well. We were very happy to find this place for our stay.

    Susan2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent place with everything we needed and more. Hosts were very communicative with clear instructions. Would definitely stay again!

    Kurt2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Neville and Rebecca are great communicators and the description was very accurate. The apartment was a good base for us. You can ask for a twin mattress if you need a fourth bed and they are very happy to bring it up to the apartment. Hope to see you again soon!

Our house is close to downtown and easy walking distance to everything. There are two bedrooms. One has a queen bed, the other two twin beds. If you need more sleeping space, there is a futon mattress available to roll out in the living room. Private, gorgeous with a sunny and spacious living area. Our capacity is 4 people. One more person is permitted with an extra charge. ($25 per night). There is air conditioning available. Full kitchen with microwave, refrigerator, toaster, and cooking utensils. (No dishwasher). There is coffee, sugar and filters provided. We are very close to a grocery store, so you can see what is in the refrigerator and then go get provisions. Bathroom is a full tub and shower. Montpelier is a very safe town, easy to get around and there are outstanding restaurants and bars. A foodie and craft beer lovers delight!
  • Will and Patty's place is wonderful - spacious, comfortable, close to downtown, just a perfect place to stay in Montpelier.

    Leonard2020-04-02T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed here for 4 nights. The house was perfect. Close to town. We had the entire upstairs apartment, very private. So many nice touches, like having extra phone chargers available, condiments and filtered water in the fridge, coffee and spices in the cabinets, even the medicine cabinet was stocked. And lots of warm, cozy blankets! Perfect! Will definitely stay here again if we come back for the summer or fall!

    Karen2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • The space was spacious, cozy, clean and well cared for. Will was responsive and the location couldn’t have been better. Quiet and a few blocks away from town. Highly recommend.

The apartment in this Country House offers a peaceful setting, located close to 3 major ski areas, Hunger Mountain hiking trails and the Waterbury beach/ reservoir. Stowe is 15 min. away, with beautiful waterfalls and trails; the excitement of Burlington is just 30 minutes.
Enjoy your own private apartment which spans the ground floor. Enter through the private entrance with a large entryway. Make yourself at home with a cozy living room, kitchen, bathroom and sleep peacefully on the queen size bedroom. This is a quiet retreat space.
This is a quiet, residential country setting. There are many hills and dirt roads that are maintained by the town.
  • Very clean, one bedroom, twin bed, & futon. Everything ya need! Quick communications, easy check-in as well. 25 mins to Stowe Mtn!

    Matthew2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • VERY nice spot and great value -- communication and everything else was excellent. Appreciated the coffee and various snacks. Probably a no-brainer for any AirBnB in Vermont, but definitely make sure your car is winter-ready if you're there for a ski trip, as the house is on a hill that gets a bit rough when there's snow or ice.

    Jesse2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, simple, and well worth the value. Stayed for 2 night on a ski trip and would do again if in the area. Apartment is off the beaten path/road but very peaceful to stay in. 30 mins to stowe resort. Hardest part was just working the door lock (user error, not a host issue) haha! Would recommend to others.

    Chris2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We arrived during a snow storm, and Ripley Road was well plowed, as was Oliver's driveway (he has his own plow), and the walk ways were all shoveled. The apartment is in a quiet, rural setting, but just several miles from the wonderful Zen Barn (great food, beer, and live music) and the main road to Stowe. The apartment was clean and cozy and the beds were comfortable. We'd highly recommend Oliver as a host and this apartment as a great place to stay while visiting the Waterbury/Stowe area.

    Jeff2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Oliver's little apartment is just the right and has just about everything you could need. Cute little kitchen so you can do some light cooking, little dining area, living room with TV and mud room to leave your skis in. Very cute and efficient.

    Nancy2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Oliver was a great host. Really good communication and response time. The place was very clean, really cute, and in a nice, quiet, great area. About 35 minutes from Burlington airport and about 10-15 from Stowe activities. Also, quick drive to some restaurants in the local area.

    Tara2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a cute little apartment with pretty much everything you may need. It was perfect for us and we'll be staying there again soon.

    Nancy2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This is an awesome Airbnb!!! It is very neat and clean, with plenty of room for 4-5 people. It’s 15 minutes from the town of Stowe, as stated in the description, but it’s more like 30 minutes from Stowe mountain. Check-in was super easy and convenient and the space had all the amenities we could possibly need. Would definitely recommend staying here!

The location was also perfect for getting around Montpelier. It was easy to communicate with Lalitha, and we would definitely recommend her place to friends.

  • Great place, family friendly, convenient, short walk to downtown montpelier!

    Jeff2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • What a great place. So much love and thought has gone into the space. It is spacious and pretty and is about a seven minute walk from the downtown area. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. There are generous amounts of amenities. Shampoo, conditioner, soap, moisturizer in the bathroom. Not only is there coffee and tea, but multiple options to prepare it. There is a Keurig, a regular coffee machine and a french press. The kitchen is completely ready for use with multiple pots, pans, dishes and even a full array of spices. The beds are comfortable. There is a washer and dryer. The wifi is good. We don't have children, but there was a ton of stuff to entertain kids. The host was friendly without being intrusive and readily available to answer any questions. Ideal for families and would be perfect for extended stay. Spotlessly clean and I can't recommend it enough.

  • If Carlsberg did Airbnb, it would be like this place. You will not find a warmer, friendlier, authentic welcome. The house, the room, the setting, the cat and dog, the landscape are all fantastic. If you’re looking for pristine but bland, then it probably isn’t for you. But if you want warmth (literal and metaphorical), good quirkiness and the sense of a home from home, it most definitely is for you. Thank you Penny, it was marvellous. I’d recommend your house to anyone and would definitely like to return.

  • Amazing stay. The Big Tiny was efficiently laid out. It had everything I needed and more. Super clean. Outstanding location with a lot of options for dining and activities within walking distance. Easy check in with simple instructions. Thanks Luke and Kelly for a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely rent again.

  • The Big Tiny was perfect! Very clean and super close to shops and restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

  • Extremely clean, stylish, and efficient space. Kitchen was fully functional and had everything you need. The perfect little studio for a weekend getaway for two. Plus it was a great location next to tons of restaurants and shops, not to mention only 10/15 min drive to Stowe. Would definitely recommend.

Our comfortable, clean and spacious 30-foot yurt sleeps 6. The wrap-around deck looks out to the Worcester Range. This charming space includes a kitchen and a private bathroom with a claw foot tub/shower. 14 miles outside of Montpelier. NOTE: Our new address is 564 Minister Brook Road Worcester, VT 05682
NOTE: Our physical address is 564 Minister Brook Road, Worcester, Vermont. The yurt offers a beautiful sunset view of the Worcester Mountain Range from the deck, with easy access to the Minister Brook through a woods trail just below. Fall asleep in warmth and comfort to the soothing sounds of a gurgling brook and fresh mountain breezes. Kids also welcome!
We live in an ideal location, out in the country on a quiet dirt road, just under 20 minutes to Montpelier, and 25 minutes to Morrisville and points north. The access trail to Worcester Mountain is a 5-minute drive up the next dirt road. There are lots of nearby swimming holes, plus lakes and ponds for kayaking, canoeing, fishing.
  • By far the favorite Airbnb either of us have ever been to. 20 minutes from a city, gorgeous mountain views and the sound a running brook nearby, and every inch of the home looked right off a Pinterest board, so elegant and beautiful. Warm, despite being mid November, and the hot chocolate they left us helped too! Our hosts were lovely, and their dogs were so friendly. Will absolutely be back next year.

  • Through circumstances beyond everyone's control, my girlfriends and I didn't get to stay at Kelly and Martin's wonderful property. However, they were very honest, open, and helpful throughout the situation. It seems the Stowe area got a trick on Halloween and the area sustained environmental damage that took down power lines and flooded the area with wind and rain. If you're considering this yurt, take a chance! I imagine it's just as wonderful as all the reviews say, and if the property is a reflection of the hosts then I can imagine that it's pretty awesome!

    Kelly2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Super friendly hosts! thanks!

    Willem2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely recommend this place!! I can't say enough good about it, perfect rural setting, rushing stream right off the private deck, well appointed, comfy, clean, just everything you could ask for! Easy to cook in and had everything needed to cook a nice meal while listening to the river outside! I will definitely be staying here again next time I'm in Vermont! Thank you Kelly and Martin for such a wonderful experience!

  • We loved our one night’s stay here - very special!!

    Polly2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • I am the type of person who does not like to stay in the same place twice and this was my second time staying in this amazing yurt, that should say all that needs to be said! This place is the perfect place for a getaway in the mountains. It is a great base location to visit both Stowe and Montpelier plus all of the wonderful breweries in the area! We stayed at the yurt during the last weekend in October with temperatures dropping to about 30 degrees , we had no idea until we ventured out for dinner since the yurt was well insulated and very warm! The views from the Yurt were spectacular even though the fall foliage was past the peak viewing time. Next time we will be visiting earlier in fall to catch what i can only imagine must have been a truly breathtaking view. Kelly and Martin were quick to respond to any and all questions and you can tell they really care about the guests having a great time! Also, all of their recommendations were spot on and added to an already unforgettable experience!

  • Kelly and Martin have a slice of heaven in the hills just north of Montpelier. It’s a quiet, peaceful place where you can see thousands and thousands of stars if the weather allows. Take my advice and spend plenty of time soaking in the view from the deck in the morning with some coffee (which was provided- thank you!) and in the evening with a glass of wine. Kelly and Martin have thought of everything. They even set a flashlight and lantern out so that I had light if I needed it. The yurt is amazing. I feel slightly guilty for booking it for myself when a family of 8 or more could easily stay there and be comfortable. The other reviews are right- the photos don’t do it justice. Everything was sparkling clean and I couldn’t have asked for anything more for my stay. If you’re looking for a place that’s close to a lot of great hiking and is just out of town but close enough at the same time, this place is for you. If you’re looking to be blown away by nature and a fantastic yurt, this place is for you. You won’t be disappointed. I promise. Now I need to build myself a yurt :)

  • Thanks so much for having us! We loved the yurt and your awesome recommendations! Would love to come back!

  • What a charming, cozy stay! Jane's place is welcoming from the moment you enter. Communication is excellent. Jane met us at the door and showed us around then left us to ourselves. The place was clean and the kitchen well stocked. There were plenty of linens and blankets. The king bed was very comfortable. Jane's place is very walk-able to downtown without the steep climbs we have encountered in other Montpelier stays. We hope to stay again!

  • Cozy, comfortable and clean place that has just what you need to enjoy your time while visiting Vermont! We really enjoyed our time in Jane and Hutch's place. Thoughtful touches like fresh cream for coffee in the fridge made you feel like you were home. The bed was very comfy!! Would return again!!

  • We loved staying here so much that we came back to do it again. Nuff said? Jane's place and Montpelier go together very well. They both make you feel great when you are there!

    Drew2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This cozy spot close to everything is a perfect place if you are visiting Montpelier - warm, bright, clean and with lovely amenities. For my winter visit the beautiful plants made the stay particularly welcoming. Jane and Hutch are great hosts - very eager to make sure you stay is great. I especially appreciated having some milk waiting for me in the refrigerator so I could make a fresh cup of coffee!

The property is a turn-of -the-century 2 unit condominium in a lovely neighborhood. It's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk to unique downtown shops, and Hubbard Park, with its easy to moderate trails for hiking or cross country skiing, is just steps away.
About the accommodations: The room has a single twin bed on the second floor adjacent to the shared bathroom. Please note: The bed is a standard twin, and has a head and footboard, and tall people have commented that it's just not long enough to stretch out. So tall people may want to consider other accommodation.
Quiet, charming, friendly neighborhood with a premiere coffee/bakery shop right around the corner.
  • Marianne's place is a perfect place to stay if you're passing through Montpelier! Great location and she is a lovely host.

  • Marianne was an amazing host. She was very communicative and accommodating. The room itself was comfortable and clean. Her place is located very close to downtown and the shops.

  • Where's the button for SIX stars? Marianne's place is fabulous. She is a wonderful host -- warm and inviting, while offering a sense of privacy in her beautiful home. Check-in was very easy, communication was great, the bed was comfy, and Marianne offered plenty of good recommendations for local restaurants etc. If you're traveling to Montpelier, this is a great place to stay.

    Ashley2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • Marianne was a great host. She welcomed me by giving a tour of her place and offering local tips. The room was very clean and comfortable. Good bed and fresh air - I had a great sleep. All needed amenities were provided. Location was perfect - in a quiet neighbourhood about 13 minutes walk from central Montpelier and all the restaurants. Easy check-in and going in and out. Parking was easy right in front. The breakfast bakery close by is excellent - they have a very skilled baker who makes authentic French croissants.

    Alex2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great experience. Marianne is very hospitable. Clean and comfortable and close to downtown with lots of shops and restaurants.

    Theresa2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Just in Montpelier for one night. Marianne was very pleasant and welcoming. Her house sits at the foot of Hubbard Park which I took advantage of by taking a nice morning run through it. Room had everything I needed for a nights stay, bed, bath, wifi, iron.

Here at Kend-All's Cabin, it's not just about renting a room, it's about the experience! Kend-All's Cabin is situated on 13 acres and centrally located to Montpelier (12 minutes), Stowe (55 minutes), Burlington (45 minutes), and (20 minutes) to medical facilities in Berlin/Barre. Located upstairs (12 steps) in the loft, there's a double bed & a view of Hunger Mountain. While there are 4 walls there is no ceiling (it's open to the cathedral ceiling), and not meant for a romantic get-away!
This space has a very open floor-plan with a traditional bedroom downstairs and two distinct (lofted) sleeping areas upstairs (12 steps). (Because of the lofting, please no children under 12 due to noise level, and only 2 to a room.) Neither of the loft bedrooms have ceilings and are open to the cathedral ceiling. Kend-All's Cabin is strategically positioned for a beautiful view of Hunger Mountain through many large windows. The house has a large stand up shower and laundry on site. There is a laid back 11 year old Brussels Griffon, Nina, and a 21 year old Siamese cat Squeakers. You will probably not see Squeaker much but Nina will be at the door to greet you!
Set on a quiet, country, dirt road the neighborhood is perfect for a relaxing get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. By GPS, the last 1/2 mile is a steep dirt road (Government Hill) so if you are coming after dark, please take the 2.5 mile dirt road called Culver Hill Road off RT 12 North coming from Montpelier. We are 7 miles/12 minutes from downtown Montpelier.
  • Penny was very sweet and very accommodating. Made me feel very comfortable during my stay.

  • Everything was great. It is a short 12 min. drive to Montpelier which has some nice shops and restaurants. Penny was great! SHe is very kind and a great host. She recommended that we try Julios for dinner and it was wonderful! Thanks so much! The space was as described and fit our needs for our one night stay.

    Tom2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kendra's mom, Penny met us to check-in. She was lovely! It's a very unique space, with a an open, loft vibe. We were only there for a night, but we had everything we needed after a long day exploring Vermont. She also offered us coffee in the morning (which was amazing!), but unfortunately we were in a rush!

    Nandita2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great space in a great location. 12 minutes from Montpelier and20 from ciders and brewery. Amazing place, sweet friendly women!!! Highly recommend!!!

  • Penny was a great host and made my first experience with Airbnb a great one. She made sure I had everything I needed and went above and beyond. She offered me food for multiple meals, and when I told her I was having car trouble and needed antifreeze for my car, she gave me some she no longer needed. My stay felt like staying with a relative. I would definitely stay again.

    Ashton2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Penny was a lovely host, she always responded quickly to messages and gave us great advice about what to do and see in her beautiful state. Getting to the house the first time was a little difficultas it was dark outside but in the end it was worth it since we got to see deer and foxes tight next to us along the road. All in all it was a great stay and Penny made us feel right at home.

    Anna2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time with Penny, her place is great, remote enough to feel really peacefull, yet close enough to Waterbury and all comodities. Penny is a one of a kind host, super friendly, accomodating, and she brews a great coffee! We really loved our stay, and hope we'll be back someday!
