  • Great room, great hosts. Good location.

    Steve2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • A welcoming home and family members were very helpful. We had everything we needed in the room, even making tea and coffee and a quick breakfast for the next morning. We were able to relax and get a really good night's rest after a long day. Nice, warm, spacious room and ensuite.

  • I need to stay only for a nigh as I was performing at the Vengaboys show. The hosts were so lovely and made us feel right at home. I was so happy to have a suite as I was rushing through day and this made the difference. They left tea and coffee in the room which was so thoughtful. Also, they let us use the kitchen to heat my prepped meals and we had a nice conversation in the morning. I was also delighted that we could check out at 10 am instead of 8 am after a busy night! Thank you so much and defo would recommend this place!

    Vanessa2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • I was met by Maria who was lovely and gave me a warm welcome in a very cold night. Bed was comfortable, room was warm and the kettle was great. Good en suite and towels available. TV in room and sockets bear to bed for phone charger. Wish I'd taken the kind offer of a hot water bottle but the extra blankets kept me warm. (It was literally freezing outside) dogs are very friendly and well trained. Came to sniff me in the morning to say hello ( I hadn't met them the night before) but as soon as Maria called them, they came away.

3* Cosy Two bedroom cottage overlooking Ronan Valley Golf Course. Ideally located on the edge of town enabling you to enjoy the Mid-Ulster countryside and beyond. A leisurely 15mins walk into Magherafelt town centre where you can shop, wine and dine. The cottage sleeps 4-5 and is equipped with mod-cons: washing machine, cooker, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, a selection of kids toys and games giving you a home from home experience.
Meadowbank kids play park is a 5 minute walk from our house - this is a firm favourite of our boys! We have a couple of outdoor sheds also available if you have bicycles, fishing rods, golf clubs or anything else you choose to bring with you. Fifth bed is a sofa bed in the main lounge/kitchen area
It's on the edge of town, so has a countryside feel to it. A short 15min walk takes you into the centre of town. There are sheep in the fields to the back of the cottage. The golf course is in front of the cottage. The cottage is surrounded by trees and green fields, so it's in a peaceful location. It feels very pastoral. It's also set quite far back from the main road so there is minimal road traffic noise, despite being situated close to the bypass.

  • I've been to many AirBnB in many countries. I can't say I'm surprised that the best one I've ever stayed at would be in Ireland. What a wonderful experience with a wonderful host. Simply can't say enough good stuff about this, highly highly recommended.

My place is close to great public transport to Belfast, Derry/Londonderry and Belfast International airport. The River Bann runs through Toome and is a short 10 minute walk from my house. My house is five minutes from Winterfell. Game Of Thrones has just finished filming I was very excited to have four actors stay with me.
Our house is really close to the river Bann and Lough Neagh and is surrounded by nature and unique local culture. Birdwatching for the keen birdwatcher is also available in the local area as it supports an array of bird species and unique habitats. If you go on the Canal Walk you might see the grey heron, and you will observe the lough. Randalstown forest is also closeby, where you can visit the world of owls and deer link. Part of our local heritage was built on eel fishing and to this day it still continues. It is now managed by the lough neagh fishermen's society and is the largest wild eel fishery in Europe. Our eels are known worldwide for their quality. (URL HIDDEN)
  • Mary was great!! She helped me and made me feel so at home. Mary was very accommodating with my work hours. The house is lovely and cosy. My bed in my room was amazing. I plan to come back to Mary for sure!!!

    Nicole2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • We had a very nice stay here. Mary was lovely, the kitchen great, with local tips, very powerful shower and nice fresh towels. For GoT fans this must be the closest Airbnb to the filming location of Winterfell!

    Robin2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • Mary is a good hostess, accommodating and friendly, we felt very comfortable

    Bettina2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Mary, is an amazing and friendly host. Quick to respond to your messages and easily adopts to changes. On the same night a friend wanted to stay over also, and she made a room available last moment. Thank you Mary!

  • Mary was an excellent host! The house is amazingly beautiful, friendly, and nicely decorated. We really felt like home there. Highly recommanded!

    Gergely2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • This was an excellent option for us while attending the 2019 Open Championship in Portrush, NI. Our host Mary was very accommodating. We appreciated the convenience of the on-suite bathroom. Highly recommended.

    Dan2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Good host, great bed and great shower

    Lisa2019-07-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a comfortable stay with Mary for two nights. Both Mary and her son were very sociable. The bedroom had plenty of closet space and it was nice having an en-suite. If you like a quiet house in the early evening, this is the place for you. Mary has a couple of rooms, therefore, you might be able to chat with fellow travellers in her very large kitchen. There was room to park in the driveway and it was a great location for flying in or out of the Belfast International Airport, approximately 35 minutes from her home. We would gladly stay with Mary if we are ever back in the area.

  • We stayed in The Pod at Chris's place and I would highly recommend it. The Pod was cosy, warm and had everything that we needed. The breakfast was a really nice touch and there was even the option of using the jacuzzi. There is a smart tv in the room so you can watch Netflix, etc. We were able to check into the room ourselves and were left to ourselves but knew Chris was available if we needed anything. I would definitely come back and stay again 😄

    Laura2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Pod. Everything was perfect!

  • Wonderful night away! Very stylish and beautifully finished, with lovely bed linen, towels and bathroom products. Really cosy and great to have a tv to watch films. Very handy to have the fridge and other amenities to bring along your own bits and pieces, but there were pancakes, butter and milk left. Overall I would highly recommend this for a lovely cosy night away to escape from busy day to day life!

    Phoebe2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts. Very helpful and kind. Wonderful stay. We look forward to going back.

The jacuzzi was a nice touch to have on such a cold night. The thoughtful extra ideas such as stuff for breakfast was lovely. Would love to return to Chris’s place some time in the future.

  • I can’t say enough great things about Rebecca’s place. The home is beautiful! We really appreciate how well stocked it was, especially in the kitchen as my wife loves to cook! Beds were comfy, the house was immaculate. We have stayed in many Airbnb’s over the years and this far exceeded our expectations. Thank you again!

    Donal2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely cosy comfortable house. The reason we use Airbnb is for houses like this. 'A home away from home.' The extra touches were appreciated too. The house is on a busy road, but the thoughtfully provided earplugs helps that. Also have private parking at the back was great. You can walk to some shop & restaurants, very convenient. Would highly recommend this house.

  • Staying at the Stables apartment was amazing. The space is great and spacious and homey. The house had everything I needed and more. Conor is a fantastic host, going above and beyond to assist and make your stay as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend staying here.

    Tyla2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Conor helped give me one of the best AirBnB experiences I’ve had thus far. He was always very quick to reply to my messages. Any issues I had with the places were due to my own lack of knowledge about how things operate in Europe. Conor is very trustworthy and was always quick to help out, even stopped by when it was needed. The place itself was fantastic, newly remodeled, extremely clean, and stocked with whatever you may need. I was pleasantly surprised there is even a washer/dryer combo! The hide-a-bed upstairs is an IKEA foldout, which was comfortable enough for a fold-out. Nice quality towels, and kitchen utensils. And very importantly, I felt secure in the apartment. It is within walking distance of whatever you may need grocery/food wise. I’d also recommend the restaturant TIME just across the street for an affordable meal and pint. The goat cheese frittata is excellent and great value. It says “nightclub,” but if you are going for dinner it’s just a nice bar/restaurant hangout. A lot of the other pubs in the area don’t do food. I spent a week there, and would happily do it again!

  • Elena's home was spotlessly clean, the bed was comfy and the breakfast perfect. She was a fabulous host who went the extra mile. We arrived later than expected at Elena's home and her charming son offered to take us to town and pick us back up afterwards. Excellent facilities, and an excellent stay. We would highly recommend a stay in Elena's home!

  • I really enjoyed the location and the apartment was really nice excellent hosts and really sweet love it really recommended

    Eva2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a lovely place to stay. Great open space and so cosy and clean. Lots of little extras left and a real fire making it very homely. Laurence & Patricia where perfect hosts making sure I had everything I needed. Bed was very comfortable and had a lovely fresh smell and it was quite at night. Great location in the centre of the town. Would definitely recommend.

    Julie2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • It was a very wet weekend in County Tyrone with the British Isles being lashed by storm after storm so it was lovely to come back to a comfortable and warm house with all the amenities you would need. If we'd stayed longer we would have lit the wood-burning fire! The local bar is 50 meters away and does a wonderful pint of Guinness. If we'd had the chance to stay longer we'd have had a few more pints to ensure our original assessment was correct! As you can see there is a theme emerging. It was a shame that we could not spend longer in the area or have a chance to speak more to Laurence and Patricia who were kind, helpful and welcoming. I would certainly stay again at the Barn and it is a great location from which to explore the countryside within easy reach of both Belfast and Derry.

  • It was the first time I was in Northern Ireland but I really liked it and I felt very comfortable. I didn't miss anything and the space is very clean and warm. Sharon and Arny are very good people and always willing to help. The house is beautiful and the landscape too! And Cody is a very cute and very shy dog ... stay 5 stars

  • What a fabulous and welcoming home. We were treated like family and nothing was too much bother. The house is beautiful and warm. Whether it’s watching goldfinches on the bird feeder in the morning with the doggy looking expectantly at your toast or admiring the bluegrass band memorabilia in the downstairs loo - it was all perfect. Thank you.

  • Lovely wee spot tucked away just on the edge of Cookstown. Comfortable and well appointed rooms, generous bathroom with roll top bath and excellent shower. Perfect for short and long stays alike where the beautiful house and gardens can be used as a base for exploring a great part of Ireland. Thanks Sharon for the hospitality

  • Wow I booked my stay at Sharon and Arnie's at very short notice and received a very quick response and excellent Directions to get me to them. I was completely blown away by the house which is a wonderful home filled with history, artefacts and a very warm welcome. This house is full of wonderful character, do not expect a sterile magnolia coloured plasterboarded box! The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable, with lovely tasteful furniture. I had a great undisturbed sleep. The shared bathroom included was large, cosy and had a fantastic shower with seemingly plenty of hot water. It was also light and functional with a good mirror (which I appreciate). I only had a short overnight stay (on business), and my only regret was not being able to stay longer (on this ocassion:-) I certainly intend to return with my better half and to explore the area some more. Sharon and Arnie are lovely, friendly hosts who made me feel most welcome and I look forward to seeing them again :-)

  • This is a lovely wee studio apartment and it had exactly everything I needed - and more - for my stay in the area. The bed was comfy, the place really clean and plenty of little touches all about the place that just added that extra something and showed this fabulous host's thoughtfulness. I would both come back again and recommend it to others.

  • Clean and pleasant studio. We went to Giant's Causeway (one hour from the accommodation) and Belfast (30min). Unbeatable quality / price ratio for this region.

  • Tommy was a very thoughtful host. The place, though quirky, is full of home comforts and is excellent value for money, with all the features we could possibly need and more. Tommy was very generous with provisions too. The whole place was spick and span and really quiet. We slept very soundly. We hardly needed the heating but did turn it on a few times - it was very quick to heat up and the shower was superb. We were in the area to visit family and will definitely stay again, if available. The plant nursery next door is full of wonderful flowering plants for sale too.

  • Con and his father Coln offer an experience in wild Ireland that is beyond a B&B experience alone. Their stories, fresh eggs, helpful suggestions, hot whiskey, and caring touches made my mom's 80th birthday pilgrimage memorable ... beyond our expectations. We are very grateful and encourage others to meet these amazing men !

    Kim2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Con's farm is a special place. The house is so full of character. Con and his family are so hospitable. They go above and beyond for their guests. If you want to truly have an Irish experience, this is it!

    Patti2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • A fantastic stay with Con in Bellaghy. We travelled as we were filming for work in the village and Con was beyond accommodating in the lead up and on arrival. The cottage itself is a gem - like stepping into an old world - full of symbols and stories. We learned a ton about the history of the area and stayed chatting for hours. Shoutout for the bed also - I had a divine sleep. We'll be back!

    Aoife2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • An incredible slice of Ireland. The historic farm house was clean, comfortable and welcoming. We didn’t have a chance to meetCon, but his father Colm couldn’t have been more hospitable. We felt very welcome and honored to learn about his rich life and experiences. Through him, we got a first-hand account of the “Trouble” in Ireland which has plagued the country. Colm also went out of his way to take us to a local pub called Cross Keys; a spot not to miss. Staying here was one of the highlights of our trip. If you want a true taste of liberal Irish culture, you will really love this unique accommodation !

    Roy And Cristina2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Very enjoyable house and location. Our host was full of history and good advice on local interests.

    Guillaume2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The best Airbnb I ever had tell now. Colm was very friendly with us we had interesting conversations, place is located in a quiet village close to pond. Colm inspired us in many ways, wish we could have stayed longer. I’m pretty sure that I’m gonna come back with my whole family once again. Colm even provided us farm fresh eggs and vegetables it was good to leave city life and enjoy in nature. At cons place you see lots of history his dad is really friendly, whoever are in that area definitely should stay at cons place. They were really helpful right from beginning of our booking. We game as guests and going back as friends now.

  • Beautiful house! Great central location, lovely to see all the animals. And extremely welcoming and friendly. We will definately return if we come back to Ireland again. Thanks!

    Mirjam2019-12-15T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Con & Colm’s House was one of the top highlights of my time in Ireland. My friend and I were there for only one night and we so badly wanted to stay longer! We stayed up all night visiting with Colm and hearing his stories. He gave us loads of tips on what and how to do things in Northern Ireland. The beds were very comfy and both my friend and I enjoyed a good soak in the claw foot tub in the bathroom. Con made us a reservation for dinner at a local restaurant that we absolutely loved. We were so tired and hungry from travel all day and he took care of that piece for us, it was so helpful and we felt very taken care of! They were very accommodating and gave us loads of yummy bread, amazing cheese, great whiskey, and farm fresh eggs for breakfast. We really hope to return some day and spend more time here.

  • We had a wonderful time at the Annex. Huw’s family is friendly and welcoming. The Annex is much bigger and much cuter than the pictures show! The value for what you pay is exceptional, even for Northern Ireland where everyone we met was so kind. We were welcomed with fruit and jams, breads and other treats and essentials that met our dietary needs. We really enjoyed the porch area and the huge, spotless bathroom. It is a great place for a couple or two couples or a family. There is much to be seen in the locale and we sure hope to be back someday!

    Sarah2019-11-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was brilliant, like other reviewers Nan welcomed me at the Annex with a roaring log fire. Nan and Huw are the perfect hosts. On arrival Nan had provided some essentials including bread, tea, milk, coffee and cereals etc. Enough to get us started before we headed off into Cookstown 5 mins away in the car. The accommodation is located in a very quiet rural area and is perfect to relax and unwind with stunning views. There is a convenience store and restaurant about a mile away so you don't need to venture into town if you don't want to. The pictures don't do the accommodation justice, it is lovely with one double bed and two singles beds which were really really comfy. We had a really nice stay and will be staying again at some stage in the future.

  • We stayed for 2 nights at Jim and Patricia’s Cottage last weekend (Nov 2019), we were greeted with a very great welcome, Patricia was so thoughtful and had ensured we arrived to a warm cottage and even went and brought in some toys for the kids. The cottage was spotless and has all amenities. There is a secure garden out the back where the kids loved playing basketball. Bailey the dog was so friendly and fantastic with the kids. Overall a fabulous stay with excellent hosts and cottage, we will definitely be returning.

  • You will not be disappointed when visiting Moyola River Cottage ! Everything is as shown on the site with no hidden agenda at all, all the amenities you could expect and quality of the bungalow and furnishings etc are very good. The hosts, Patricia and Jim are very friendly and helpful and though we actually knew the area, they had a full supply of information on things to do and see in Northern Ireland.

    Gwen2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Jim and Patricia’s river cottage. The interior was modern, comfortable and well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and we were provided with everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. However the definite highlight of our visit was the incredible hospitality shown to us by Jim and Patricia, who truly went above and beyond to accommodate us and were so kind and responsive to any and all questions we had. We loved meeting you both, as well as their sweet dog Bailey, and would highly recommend their cottage for anyone visiting Castledawson.

  • Just returned after two fantastic nights with my wife and one year old. The cottage is in a fantastic location right at the heart of Northern Ireland and was perfect for a quick getaway from the businesses of life. It’s great value for money too! The entire process from booking to check-in was handled perfectly including requests for some toddler essentials like a cot, stair-gate etc. There where a lot of little included extras that we loved and where a great touch. We loved the log fire and it really adds something special to this cottage. It was a perfect little space for us and I couldn’t recommend it more! 5*! The only think that could possibly make this place better would be a touch of SUN, but it’s Northern Ireland and there isn’t much you can do about that! Thank you Mary and Sam!

    Dave2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay and absolutely loved Fallagloon cottage. Such a sweet, characterful cottage, set in beautiful countryside... which the kids, my husband, and I all fell for immediately! Mary provides many ‘above and beyond’ extra touches and supplies, and was a pleasure to meet when she kindly called in and made sure we were comfortable. We hope we can return again to Fallagloon as a perfect location to get up to the antrim coast, and as a base to visit family in the area. Thanks again, Donna and James

  • We loved staying at Mary’s gorgeous cottage. It was a great location for all the sightseeing we planned to do. Cozy, clean and a very enjoyable home. Mary left us a welcoming box with eggs and bread, to have a great breakfast. We will be back.

  • A lovely cottage perfectly situated halfway between Belfast & Derry - we did day trips to both (~50 mins drive) & came back to a lovely warm cottage for relaxing evenings. Mary's cottage is very nicely furnished & decorated & has everything you need for a short stay. We highly recommend it. M, S, C & J

  • Fallagloon Cottage hosted by Mary was a little gem in the country not too far from Belfast. The cottage is perfectly set with privacy in mind and the amenities provided were to a 5* hotel standard. Mary was always on hand to make sure our stay was as good as it could have been. My favourite part of the cottage was the log burner :-). If you are to stay i would highly recommend booking Mary's afternoon tea! Savoy standard which won't leave you hungry! Thanks Mary.

  • We had a wonderful stay in Mary's cottage. We were a family of 4 plus the dog. The cottage is very small but is cosy and welcoming. Mary was always quick to respond to our enquiries before we came and was keen to ensure we had a lovely stay. She allowed us a late check out at the end of our stay ensuring our weekend at the cottage was even more relaxing. The cottage is well equipped and beds comfy. The cottage was so quiet (well apart from our kids) we slept so well. We would be very happy to recommend this cottage to others.

  • Donna's reception was warm and inviting, the room was extremely cosy, modern and everything we needed for our short stay. The check in process was seemless, Donna was very hospitable and flexible. Its a beautiful relaxing location, great value for money, highly recommended.

  • The room was very clean and very comfortable. The very quiet location. Very good services The hardest thing was to get home, it's not where the web says. Better pay attention to the photos and the house number.

  • We didn’t get to meet Donna, but we were greeted by her very friendly and helpful cousin who was working at the farm, who then introduced us to Donna’s sister, who was also friendly and helpful. Loved the farm location with the sounds of sheep and cows in the morning. The space was perfect for us, super clean and comfy and lovely outlook. The location was quiet and secluded but was also an easy 20min drive to Bellaghy , where we were attending a concert at the Seamus Heaney venue. Thanks for making our trip to Northern Ireland even better !! Nicky and Steve

    Nicky2019-08-02T00:00:00Z
  • For us, the location was perfect since we were in the area visiting relatives. The room is lovely! The décor and personal touches (extra towels and bathrobes) made us feel like we were at a spa. One note about the Google Maps directions - those had us at our destination several minutes before we got to Donna's gate...be sure to keep going until you see her entrance (she provided a picture of the gate with their property number so we knew when we had really arrived).

The location is spectacular and there is plenty to do close by; great pubs and meals and the Giants causeway and the Carrick rope bridge are only 50 minutes away. I definitely recommend staying with Donna and Nicky.

  • Martins place was a perfect little get away, very clean and modern. Photos are true to how you will find the place. He had the fire lit for us on arrival and milk in the fridge, and gave us some extra treats to indulge on as well, he was a great host! Hot tub was perfect and lovely and private. Would definitely recommend!

  • Pictures listed do not do this place enough justice. Beautiful scenery in middle of the countryside along with perfect views from the hot tub( which is perfectly sheltered). The home is very stylish and modern. Martin was an excellent host who was thoughtful in leaving a gift for valentines. Will be back again. Excellent value

  • Martin was a lovely host, and had a fire waiting on us when we arrived. A few kitchen staples were available that made for a nice snack before we went in hunt of dinner. The Green Shed was much larger than we expected. The hot tub was nice to enjoy before we tucked in for the night. Overall it was a great experience and would be great stay for those enjoying the smaller towns of Ireland

    Talor2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fantastic stay at the green shed! Martin greeted us upon arrival with a full tour of the house. A lovely modern place with the fire on as we walked in and milk in the fridge! Not great phone signal, but that’s the general area- Great base for further exploring. Martins place a short drive to neighbouring towns which was good for takeaway as well as a fully equipped kitchen within! The hot tub was great despite the cold weather which made it lovelier with robes. We had a great stay at the green shed and would definitely come back!

    Erin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Green Shed is a very thoughtful use of space and is decorated to the highest standard making use of modern appliances. Martin was a fantastic host and had the fire lit for us arriving as well as leaving us milk in the fridge and other little essentials. The house was spotlessly clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend Martin and his house and have assured him that we will be back.

  • Such a beautiful cozy cottage for two tucked away in an amazing garden. Robin, the host, is thoughtful and more than happy to assist with sightseeing, dining and any other information you may require. I would definitely return the next time I (we) are in Ireland

    Susan2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed with Robin as a base to explore Northern Ireland. Castledawson is the perfect place to do this. Even before we got there Robin was the perfect host. He even called and made us a dinner reservation before we got there. So thoughtful - and the restaurant was great! The gardens are amazing just like all the other reviews say. The house is charming and we sat by the fire each night after our trips around the area. Robin was a fountain of information and helped us plan our excursions each day. He came and sat by the fire with us one night and shared stories about the history of the area which really enhanced our experience. His wife Julie was so genuine in her caring about us having a good stay. (Thank you Julie!) And to top it all off, the bed and pillows were the best we had on a 6 week trip. We are forever grateful to them and the cottage for this magical time of our trip.

    Heather2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • The Bridge Cottage including Robin, Julie and the pups ended up being such a sanctuary and place of healing during a tough spot in our travels. We arrived not feeling well and were greeted warmly by Robin and his sweet pups with a walk through his beautiful gardens. He brought me medicine, lit a fire for my sister and checked in on us to make sure we had all we needed. He granted us an extra day for recovery and it couldn’t have been spent in a more beautiful and perfect place. Really felt like home....we cannot thank you enough Robin for the time spent there.

    Marie2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Bridge Cottage was the perfect stay for us. The gardens are beautiful and we enjoyed having our morning coffee in the gazebo overlooking the river. The cottage itself had every creature comfort you could hope for and then some. We loved sitting by the warm fire in the evening. Robin was a wonderful host and gave us helpful tips on where to eat in the area. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone!

My place is close to great public transport to Belfast, Derry/Londonderry and Belfast International airport. The River Bann runs through Toome and is a short 10 minute walk from my hous My house has WiFi, is in a quiet, family orientated area and has free parking spaces are available right outside my house/in the driveway. My house is five minutes from Game of Thrones Winterfell site I was very excited to have four actors stay with me recently.

  • I needed a comfortable place to stay near Shane's Castle where I was attending a festival. I decided not to camp there this year. I was very lucky to find a room at Mary's house. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean, and very convenient. Mary was very welcoming but totally unobtrusive. She showed me the amenities, showed me to my room, gave me my keys and left me to enjoy her lovely house. I will most certainly return.............if she'll have me :-)

    Vincent2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely woman, lovely place. Seperate fridge and freezer for guests to use. Kitchen access permitted to cook your own food. Room was small, but clean and cozy. For the price it was a steal. She is an amazing person. I even lost the keys to the room at the pub one night and she let me sleep in another room for the night. In the morning we called the locksmith and had the front door and bedroom door locks changed (I paid as it was my fault that I lost the keys) and she seemed quite happy with the outcome. She was very accommodating. She is really a super host and deserves every bit that title. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area. As for location, it is walking distance to the local pub, a great walking trail by the river to a lake, outdoor exercise area / gym nearby, food for cooking was a 5 minute walk to centra, the local off-license is about 4 minutes walk ways, and there are local taxis that will take you to Antrim or Ballymena if you require anything for ~20GBP. Highly convenient. I can't say enough good things. Stay there and see for yourself. It is great, and so is the host. Thank you for everything, Mary.

  • Beautiful house and amazing host. Mary has thought of everything you will need as she's been doing this for some time, down to WiFi code on the door and separate key for room and for the entrance. I was commuting from Antrim so this can be done. There was hardly any traffic. Bed was cosy, ample room in the wardrobe, hot power shower! Everything was there. Separate fridge for guests. And iron and ironing board. I highly recommend this place!

  • Mary is fantastically helpful, cheery, and friendly! It was a relaxing stay and cozy stay. If you would like a cute path stroll down to Lough Neagh, want to see where Winterfell from GOT was filmed, or would like recommendations on local eat in or take aways, then Mary will provide you with any or all of it. I had a delightful two day stay!

  • A beautiful place to stay, a short distance outside of Toome. A good central location if one is touring the area. Very good hosts.

  • This is a lovely bright, clean and spacious apartment. It is cosy and comfortable and set in beautiful farmland with great views of the Lough . It is set amongst other houses but still feels very private. The apartment is close to the main route between Belfast and Derry and it is an ideal location for exploring Northern Ireland. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could have stayed longer. Great spot and hope to return.

  • Martin's cottage is in a beautiful location on the tip of Lough Neagh. The place (as others have mentioned) is spotless but we really appreciated the personal touches - the milk, the bread, beer, cereal etc when we arrived. The place is quite isolated and you will need your own transport but this was our first time to Ireland and were bowled over by the friendliness of the community. This is an ideal location to Belfast, Giant's Causeway etc, the beds are comfortable, the internet is fast it really is a top location and we would stay here again without hesitation. If you do hire a car though DON'T use Easyrent. This didn't mar our in any way though in what is a very beautiful part of the world.

  • Had the best girls night in the Black Shack!! So cute and cosy! Amazing value as well!

    Clare2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The Black Shack is warm, cosy and very comfortable. The log burner was fab! We were given a big bag of logs firefighters and sticks. The kitchen is equipped with coffee machine, fridge, microwave & hob. Cleaning supplies and plenty of cutlery & utensils were supplied. Our breakfast was left for us; milk, cereal, pancakes, butter & jams. The gin tin & hot tub outside were an added touch. Outside was lit with fairy lights and we had a great nights sleep in the comfy beds! The shower was hot and we were supplied with towels. Shampoo conditioner shower gel & soap were also available. Absolute bargain of a getaway, we’ll definitely be back!
