Cozy, 12 x12’ sleeping cabin on three acre property in the Ohia forest in Mountain View. Situated four miles off Hwy 11 between Hilo and Volcano National Park, come try off-grid living in a private setting. Fully equipped with solar lighting, propane on-demand hot water and great wireless internet. The 1400’ elevation makes for cool evenings and comfortable sleeping. The shared kitchen and full bath are located just steps away in a separate building. Kitchen has a gas stove and full sized refrigerator. Laundry facilities are located here as well and free to use. Rural location provides privacy and quiet. Volcano National Park is 20 minutes away, Hilo 25. Keau’u is less than 10 miles and offers gas, groceries, post office, urgent care and limited fast food.

This 2 bedroom home is located in a quiet neighborhood halfway between the Volcano Nat'l Park and the bayside town of Hilo(a 20 min. drive both ways).There is a fully equipped kitchen with appliances and supplies (range+oven, refrigerator, microwave, rice cooker, coffee maker, utensils, table setting, and cookware).Clean and comfortable place to come back to after a day of exploring.

Cheerful and bright, this studio is located on first floor of 2 story home. Studio guests will have the downstairs to themselves. Your Host lives upstairs. The studio has a private entrance and on site parking for 1 car. A full private bathroom is connected to the studio. Wifi and workspace suitable for remote working.Guests can access a large downstair's lanai with tropical gardens and an ocean view. A perfect place to relax Hawaiian style! Washer and Dryer available ($5 per load).

Charming Rainforest Cottage

Surrounded by orchids and other tropical flowers, the cottage is located on two lovely landscaped acres - 30 minutes from Hilo or Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. The property is solar powered, an off-grid sustainable system with 4G phone service and fiber optic wifi. The last two miles are on unpaved gravel road in variable condition depending upon how much rain we've had lately. Four wheel drive isn't necessary but an SUV or similar vehicle with higher clearance is recommended.

If you don't find the sound of coqui frogs at night obtrusive to your sleep, then this space would be suitable. While you will have privacy, my dad stays in the main house in case you need assistance in person. We are located at about 100 foot of elevation which provides for relatively cooler nights.

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. Close to everything on the Hilo side (east) of the Big Island. We are 20-30 mins from The Volcano, Hilo, black sand beaches, shopping, hiking, and all amenities. Beautiful cliffs and tide pools right down the street.
