Come spend time skiing or golfing at Sugarloaf, snowshoeing or hiking local trails, hunting in the Maine woods, snowmobiling the ITS, or exploring nearby tranquil water.
Our 2 bedroom/1 bathroom house is the perfect spot for a family with kids (up to 8 people total) or 4 adults! We will consider more than 4 adults in some cases. The house includes a large covered porch and an open concept kitchen/dining area with cathedral ceilings. Follow the pine staircase to the cozy living room loft for an evening movie on Netflix. One queen bed, two sets of bunk beds (with railings if needed), and a queen memory foam sleeper sofa provide lots of sleeping options. Washer and dryer are easily accessible in the full bathroom. The home and yard have complete privacy, with no other home in sight on the private road.
Our house is on a private road, which provides a quiet retreat from the world beyond. We have a handful of very friendly neighbors nearby.
  • Clean accommodations and super responsive hosts!

You can tell they truly care about their guests having a great experience. It is such a great location and they have all the details covered. Truly too many thoughtful touches to mention. Find your way to the western mountains of Maine where you can take yourself on an adventure during the day then come stay at a unique bed and breakfast "Yurt" style. Wake up to a home cooked breakfast, and do it all again the next day.
This is not your average bed and breakfast experience at our "yurt and breakfast". If you're not familiar with what yurts are all about, do a quick search to see what you've been missing out on! We offer a unique experience in the mountains-- offering cozy accommodations and a home cooked breakfast, in the perfect location for all the outdoor activities you can dream of. You will have easy access to miles of mountain bike trails, as well as 10 of Maine's 4,000ft mountain peaks. These adventures (and more) are as close as 2 miles from your very own yurt. If you only have time for a short stay, or outdoor adventures aren’t your cup of tea, we have many cozy amenities for a comfortable stay. Our yurt features a brand new Tuft&Needle mattress for snoozing through the breezy Maine afternoons. Just outside the yurt you’ll find a shady outdoor porch swing and scenic overlook. Or, have a game night and take advantage of our board game nook and cornhole set.
We are located in a very quiet area off of Rt 27 in Kingfield.
  • Amazing yurt and airbnb overall! The yurt was cool, stylish and very cozy. Skylight was lovely and clean...great for stargazing. Bed was very comfortable. Electric heater worked great! Beautiful home nestled in the Western Mountains of Maine. This home is well equipped with a unique style all its own. A great place to share with family and friends. We are close (15 miles) to Sugarloaf Mountain. Snowmobile and ATV trail access. Hiking, mountain biking, hunting, fishing, golfing and much more all right here in Kingfield, Maine.
  • This place is impeccable and F L A W L E S S ! the NICEST AirBnB you might ever stay. Location to town and Sugarloaf were perfect, too.

    Christopher2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great place- super comfortable and good location to sugarloaf.

    Emily2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying here. It is clean, sun-drenched, and relaxing. Just a 20-30 minute drive from skiing, and a warm and welcoming place to relax in afterwards. An excellent find.

    Cara2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Michaels place was spectacular. Very homey and minutes to sugar loaf. Highly recommend.

    Joseph2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place is the perfect spot for anyone looking for some adventures and fun! We decided to rent snowmobiles for the weekend, and Michaels property allowed us to access snowmobiling trails right off the property! This allowed for easy travel and more trail time. This location is also close to Sugarloaf and great restaurants! We recommend this place to anyone!!

    Katelyn2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Michael's place was perfect for our group during our ski weekend at Sugarloaf. The house is incredibly clean, and the space is even nicer in person than it looks in the pictures. All of the rooms are a good size, and the downstairs space is perfect for a group of friends to hang out in. The house was well-stocked with everything we needed and more. Michael was very clear with instructions and was a quick message away if we needed him. With the quality of this place along with the quick commute to the mountain, we'll definitely be looking to come back!

    Thomas2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We just returned from Michael’s place and had a fantastic ski weekend with a few friends at nearby Sugarloaf. The space was clean and had an array of modern updates that made the stay very enjoyable. Michael was prompt in responding to any questions we had. The house is about a 20 minute ride to the mountain, with a bunch of great food options in between. Highly recommended place for a ski weekend getaway.

    Gary2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • It's the kind of space where you just want time to go slow to appreciate it. The house is spacious and tastefully done with antiques and pieces that evoke a New England road trip. The windows looking out the back provide views of white barked trees in the foreground and mountains in the distance; the deck available so you can spend as much time lapping it up as you'd like. The kitchen, with the windows set as backdrop, is well stocked and the giant stone island will become a gathering point as the appointed chef goes about her or his duties. The rooms are all spacious and the downstairs lounge is perfect for an evening of movie watching or, if the season is right, sports. And it goes without saying that the entire property was spotless. I do not have enough superlatives. Looking forward to a return! (hopefully, with more cooperative weather!!)

My father executed his vision and built Mahoney Manor from the ground up. What started as a "camp" eventually became his full-time home before his untimely death in 2018. Nestled in the woods at the base of Ira Mountain just minutes from Sugarloaf and along the Carrabassett River, Emmett created a sanctuary. He spent the last years of his life "developing" two empty lots into a Zen-like nature trail system with hand made bridges and benches perfect for 4-season walking or snowshoeing.
Far more than your typical cabin, Mahoney Manor is both quaint and state of the art. By making the most of every available space, Emmett created a home that is functional for up to 8 guests but comfortable for 2-4 as well. Fully stocked with linens and towels, as well as some kitchen essentials, this is the perfect location for your next trip to the Sugarloaf area. Not only will you find world class downhill skiing, the winter is also full of snowmobile trails, snow shoeing and cross country skiing. In the summer months you can spend time fly fishing, kayaking and hiking throughout the region or golfing at Sugarloaf. The master bedroom is located on the main floor with another large bedroom in the loft. There are plenty of spots to find some privacy as well as an open and airy common living area. Well behaved pets are welcome, and there's an extra large dog crate in the basement if you need to borrow it (Please let us know if you plan to bring pets so we can plan accordingly.) If you are traveling with small children or you want to keep your pets downstairs, we have provided a baby gate for safety. It's never easy to remember every single thing you need to cook. Our pantry is stocked with many "essential" items. High speed wi-fi is available and you can sign into your own Netflix or Roku on two of the three TV's (Please note: there is NO cable TV.) If you don't want to burn wood for warmth there's forced air with oil heat throughout.
Located just off the main drag, only minutes from shopping in Kingfield and close to all the action at the Mountain. Tufulio's is about 5 minutes up the road and the Sugarbowl a little further at about 8 minutes if you don't want to cook or need a night out.
  • Karen’s place was wonderful. It’s an adorable cabin in the woods and 15 minutes to Sugarloaf. We took our two adult children and they did not want to leave the place! We can’t wait to go there again!

    Deborah2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Karen’s place is wonderful. So cozy after a long day of skiing. Fireplace is warm and great for drying wet gear!

  • Great cabin in the Carrabassett Valley

    Aaron2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful weekend at Karen's house. It's well set up for kids-- they loved the basement and the upstairs area--spacious, and comfortable. We were there to ski and the location was perfect-- quiet but an easy morning drive to Sugarloaf. Such a sweet spot- I wished we had more time.

    Loren2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was more than perfect! Fast and efficient communication, there was a little problem with the wifi when we arrived and they fixed it immediately. Excellent location, just 15 minutes from Sugarloaf and 10 minutes from the grocery store. Everything is available on site for cooking. Even dogs are welcome and happy with the large grounds! The chalet is spacious, comfortable and bright.

    Caroline2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Nice spacious home. Plenty of space for our family of four. Drive to Sugarloaf was easy. Loved the wood stove. Pretty setting. Clean!!

    Marilyn2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay! Everything was perfect

    Matt2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • What you won't be able to do here is walk to the corner store or the subway. The setting of this listing is beautiful and the description is quite accurate. Anyone who chooses to stay here that loves the woods and the outdoors will find a perfect vacation rental that's is two minutes from a scenic main road. Good restaurants are within ten or fifteen minutes away and Sugarloaf is a bit further. I was there in winter and found no issues getting in or out, with a proper vehicle (don't bring your Corvette or low riding car in winter), just a bit of snow to clean off the porch and steps. The kitchen and sitting area is well stocked and comfortable and the loft area has a nice picture window to enjoy nature and to observe a full moon on a clear night. This is truly a first class listing that is clean, neat, and well taken care of.

  • We loved this apt. The place was perfect. I especially liked the beautiful artwork by the host around the apt. We appreciated how clean it was, and the well stocked kitchen (we forgot olive oil and salt). The streaming options were also appreciated. The apt was quiet at night, which I appreciated too. Patricia was a perfect host - available when needed but gave us all the privacy we wanted. I really can't say enough good things. Definitely would stay again.

    Joanna2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was very clean, with comfortable furniture and bedding. The check-in process was very easy, and Patricia communicated everything very well. There's a few good food places in the area, including Longfellows next door. The drive to Sugarloaf is about 25 minutes to the base lodge, which wasn't bad at all, especially considering the pricing of lodging closer to the mountain. I would love to stay here again, especially in the summer when there's a lot to do in the area!

    Justin2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Had a great stay at Patty’s place. Her place is very convenient to Sugarloaf. Cozy place to return after a day on the mountain. Amenities were nice, full kitchen to prepare meals. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • Another great stay at Patty's place. All the necessities provided with lovely touches! Patty responds quickly and thoughtfully. Highly recommend for easy access to Sugarloaf and the rest of Western Maine.

  • We had a wonderful time staying at Patricia’s! Highly recommend eating at The Rack near sugarloaf. Only about 20 minute drive to the mountain and super easy to get to. The apartment was clean and she has some amazing paintings hanging everywhere!

    Alyssa2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Patricia’s home is very clean and beautifully decorated. It is a cool little spot because it is located in a quaint town that has the essentials (grocery store, pharmacy, convenience store, and a few places to eat). The town is also conveniently 25 minutes from sugarloaf! Patricia’s home is cozy and she had it stocked with all of our needs!

Cozy one bed one bath unit on first level of a two unit log home. We are just 27 miles from Sugar Loaf. Perfect for a weekend of skiing , snowmobiles, X- country. Why pay slope side rates when you can come home to your own wood burning fire, free WiFi and cable with all the amenities of home at a fraction of the cost.
I have been focusing on health and wellness so I added a work out yoga area. You may already have a routine and just don’t want to bring your gear with you or you just need to stretch before hitting the slopes. I have you covered. I also provide a bowl of fresh fruit and an assortment of herbal teas for your health and happiness.

  • We had a terrific stay at Peter’s cabin while in Maine for a ski weekend at Sugarloaf! Peter was a great host and the space was comfortable and very cozy. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances, and it was nice to have the option to cook at the cabin. The drive to Sugarloaf was very easy, making the cabin a perfect place to stay for a ski getaway. Thank you Peter, we hope to be back someday!

    Jennifer2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Peter’s place was nice and private even though it was connected to his home. We had everything we needed and the fireplace was a nice addition to a ski weekend.

Sit on the porch with your coffee and enjoy the sounds of nature 25 minutes from sugar loaf where you can ski all day and return to the quaint and quiet chalet, atv trails and snowmobile trails at end of road, 20 minutes from Emden pond, grab the kayaks go for an adventure. Best white water rafting and hunting 20 minutes away.
Great place for family time, great table for all to sit and enjoy the stories of the day, while keeping warm by the woodstove. Family dinner outside by the BBQ when the weather is warm. One bathroom with a full shower on the first floor. Three large futons in living room that can open up as beds.
Private house on a private road with just a few other houses on same road, woods behind the house with all kinds of wildlife visitors
  • Cozy chalet that is really comfortable for the price

    Clayton2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a hidden gem, can't wait to come back.

    Tyler2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and cozy. Quiet and private. Lots of wildlife and very close to snowmobile trail for riding or just walking. Lori is super accommodating!

    Kate2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to escape! Way far out in the woods, very quiet, and plenty of wildlife. Lori was a great host and responded very quickly. Place was well decorated to give it a cabin in the woods vibe. We were sort of snowed in one of the mornings and the neighbor had come by and plowed the snow and made sure we were able to get out. Very friendly. Would totally recommend this place to anyone trying to escape to a quiet place in the woods.

    Paul2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Lori was great, she responded very promptly even though she was on vacation herself. She has the place set up great and very cozy. We loved this place! We stayed here while enjoying some time at Sugarloaf. It’s about 40 minutes to get there, not bad considering we usually drive 3 hours to Sunday River. The views you get just driving around are beautiful! And there was so many deer behind the chalet, we (dogs included) loved watching them. This place was very clean and a little bigger than expected. We have two larger dogs and they were a little nervous of the steep stairs to go to bed at night but they figured it out. There is board games and movies for a cold day or mellow night. We definitely want to rent snowmobiles up there next time, there are tons of trails super close by. Didn’t do to much exploring on foot, it “felt like” -22 one day so a little too cold for us/dogs. But the chalet kept us warm! Everything was plowed so we never had any trouble with that and didn’t need 4wheel drive at all. Had a great time, and would definitely stay here again! It was so quiet and peaceful! Would absolutely recommend!

    Kerin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin itself was really nice and exactly what I was looking for when checking Maine off my bucketlist. The cabin is a nice A-frame style place that has a real cabin feel. The wood-burner stove offered intense heat to help dry off our gear before the next day of riding. There is also a heating unit in the cabin that will provide enough heat to make you sweat (we did that accidentally). The location offers nice touches of the country/backwoods to make you feel at home. After staying in the place, I think you could easily and comfortably fit 5 adult males in the cabin and have room to spare. Though, there is only 1 full bathroom in the cabin so visitors should be mindful of that. The road was easy to find and easy to get up, even in the snow. We did endure some ice, rain, snow and everything else during our stay, so conditions ended up questionable at times. The main road you take to get up to the road the cabin is on is in rough shape, so beware of the potholes. We drove to Sugarloaf's base lodge 3 days in a row and all of which took 40+ minutes. I am not sure if a road was closed or what, but 20-25 minutes was about the time to get into town (Kingsfield) for gas or groceries. Though wifi was not in the cabin, there was a good Verizon signal that didn't leave off totally off-grid. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone needing a backwoods getaway or anyone doing riding at Sugarloaf.

    Zac2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • The house was clean, bigger than we expected, and situated in a nice quiet area. Views were great, the house was clean and fairly easily accessible and was perfect for our ski weekend. Would definitely consider staying again!

Ski, Snowmobile, Cross Country Ski, Snowshoe, Hunt, Fish, Bike and Hike This (Newly Listed) cabin is in route to the famous Sugarloaf Ski Area, offering snowmobiling, cross country skiing, hunting, fishing, on/off road biking and kayaking on the pristine W.Branch of the Carrabasset River. Enjoy a rustic cabin feel in a quiet and peaceful setting alongside the river. The full kitchen is stocked with cookware/dinnerware, a large dining room table, and a front porch overlooking the river.
This 2 bedroom/1 bathroom cabin has two sets of built-in pine bunks, double on the bottom and a single on top. It is ideally set up for four people, but will accommodate up to six, if you're comfortable sleeping two in a double. The cabin includes a large covered porch, overlooking the west branch of the Carrabasset River. An open concept kitchen/dining/living area with cathedral ceilings, describes the first floor. The stairs lead up to a small open loft reading area, bordered by two enclosed bedrooms and a bathroom with standup shower. The entire cabin has hardwood floors, so we very much appreciate removing boots (especially ski boots), at the door.
The area abounds with wildlife including white tailed deer, moose, bear, turkey, bobcat, grouse, woodcock and eagles. The deer are frequently seen in the yard or on the wooded trails accessed from the cabin.
  • Cabin was even better than expected! Loved seeing turkeys every morning and all sorts of other wildlife roaming about on top of the place being super clean and cozy. After long days on the slopes at Sugarloaf there were even very good restaurants 10 min down the road. Roland was very quick to respond. Great place, would absolutely stay here again! 10/10

  • Our party of 5 really enjoyed our stay here. It’s a beautifully designed cabin and an easy 25min ride to Sugarloaf. The bedrooms and bathroom are small, but the shower is hot and the beds are comfy! Plus the living room/kitchen area is plenty spacious. We would stay again!

    Rita-Mary2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • All was great!! if we make it up there again I will definitely keep this place in mind for sure! Nice and cozy and perfect for the 4 of us! Close to sugarloaf and the town near by. Nice veiw of the river in the back yard and sounds of the river rollin by is peaceful. Very nice place would recommend.

    David2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great cabin! Perfect for small families, we had no issues with it! The one thing I would note is luckily I am only 5’8 I would caution renting this place if you are over 6’3 or very big, the bathroom could be an issue if you are a big person, otherwise it worked great for myself and my family! Cool spot with the creek, perfect place! They had a clear house manual explaining everything!

Cozy home in the western Maine mountains. Close to Rangeley (30 minutes), Sugarloaf (40 minutes), hiking, hunting and snowmobile trails. Enjoy exclusive access, including permission to hunt, hike, snowshoe, and cross country ski, to over 600 acres of land and trails at Riverweb as part of your stay. Our property is very close to regional snowmobile trails that are part of the Maine Snowmobile Association. We welcome dogs! Our pasture-raised beef and pork is available for sale during your stay.
I think this home is really cute and special. It has lots of light and great views. Being close to both Rangeley and Sugarloaf is ideal for 4 seasons of fun. What really makes this home unique is the access it provides you to Riverweb's 600 acres of forests, fields, ponds and rivers. There is outdoor space for you and your dogs: a picnic table, a fire pit with a swivel grill (please bring your own wood), and a dog run.
This is a very rural part of the world. I think it's stunningly beautiful every day.

  • Great place for a peaceful weekend retreat. The place is well and intentionally designed. Well furnished kitchen with great cookware. Not too far from great slopes and trails for skiers. The hosts were friendly and responded quickly. Roads around the property are pretty rough. Bring a vehicle with good suspension, the higher off the ground the better. 4WD in winter

    Steven2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jos’s place was beyond our expectations. Large clean space with every amenity you’ll possibly need. It is a great place for those looking to enjoy nature or sight seeing in beautiful Maine. **snowmobilers take note** There is no trail access from this property. The nearest trail is 1.3 miles down a paved road. Trailering and find a spot to park/unload daily is the best option.

  • This place was amazing- we went skiing at Sugarloaf for the weekend and the location to the mountain was great. After a long day of skiing we went down the street for a nice meal and then came back and relaxed. Super cozy space and Pete and Weezy were very friendly and helpful! We mentioned that we forgot to bring coffee and when we got back there was a bag of coffee waiting for us- great hosts!

    Emily2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • This place is super cozy, and Weezy is a great host. Would recommend and consider for future trips!

    Matthew2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place for the outdoors person. Sugarloaf skiiers or summer folks with kids will like the setup a lot. Mom and Dad have their own suite but the kids are right adjacent. You can walk to decent food for dinner. Bring a flashlight though if the sidewalks are iced over. Great spot. We'll book it again. Pete and Weezy are really nice and helpful.

    Chris2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • The house was very easy to find, and if you are skiing at sugarloaf it is a simple drive to the mountain. Pete and Weezy and very nice individuals and they were very accommodating for us. I would definitely rent from them again!

  • My friend Deb and I loved our all-too-brief stay. Guests have comfortable, spacious quarters upstairs - two huge bedrooms, a kitchen area, and a bathroom in an historic home. But the real plus for us, as runners there for the Sugarloaf Marathon, was Pete’s hospitality as a fellow athlete (he’s into cycling). He went the extra mile for us, and we appreciated his friendliness and thoughtfulness!

    Jane2019-05-20T00:00:00Z
  • Pete and Weezy created a beautiful and peaceful place for guests to enjoy. It was cozy, clean and very inviting. Great location to many outdoor activities! Parking just outside the door. 9 minutes to Sugarloaf Ski resort parking areas. 5 minutes to Stratton Brook Trailhead and awesome mountain biking. . , Golf and Disc golf ,Less than 10 minutes to the town of Stratton , with restaurants , grocery store, pizza and gas..Less than 12 minutes to Carrabassett Valley Outdoor Center with bike and ski Trails and Bike rentals .8 minutes to the Anti-Gravity Center.
Wyman Township is in unorganized territory located just north of Carrabassett Valley via route 27 , the Carrabassett Road.It is very close to the Appalachian Trail and the Bigelow Preserve. My favorite restaurant is 4 miles up the road , the Coplin House and Tiger Lily Bar. It is the best in the area. Just tried Backstrap Grill in Stratton and that is excellent as well. Grocery shopping in Stratton just another mile or two north is much more affordable than those close to the resort.Cell phone service can be spotty , it is mountainous and beautiful. You must follow directions , or use GPS coordinates with google maps to find the house. The door is around the side from where you drive in and we try and leave a light on for you.
  • Clean studio, that had a lot more space than I expected. 5 minute drive to the mountain and the hosts were very accommodating. Will be checking back for availability for the next Sugarloaf trip!

    Caitlyn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The place was a perfect studio type apartment very close the the mountain.

    Amy2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I spent two nights here with my 13 year old son while skiing Sugarloaf. It was perfect. As described, it's a single large room with large bathroom; the kitchen is limited, so don't plan any meals that require cooking (but the Backstrap Grill is nearby and was great). Gas stove adds some heat and helps dry out boots. Highly recommend.

    Steve2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • This studio was perfect for our romantic snowshoe and Nordic ski weekend. We had great meals at the Looney Moose in Stratton, and restaurants in the Sugarloaf complex, outdoor fun at the Sugarloaf Outdoor Center, and cozy relaxing evenings in at the studio. The location was great to get to all these locations!

    Jessica2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Good place to stay. Great host!

  • Susan place was amazing just a little up the road from sugarloaf access road it was the perfect location for a weekend ski trip. The place was spotless and the electric fireplace was a perfect way to make the place even more comfortable than it already was susan was quick to reach out to make sure we checked in alright and offered to give insight on any local knowledge we were curious about. we will definitely consider staying with her again.

Wake up to the peaceful sound of running water each morning while enjoying a little slice of heaven off mountain. Renovated during the summer of 2019 and located next door to a great restaurant - Tufulios! This studio condo is perfect for a quick getaway to The Loaf, The Huts or to enjoy all the snowmobile trails that the area has to offer. Condo sleeps four comfortably. Quick seven minute drive to the Loaf or hitch a ride with the Sugarloaf Shuttle that comes down to the condo.
  • Great space in a great location.

    Kelsey2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • April's place was perfect for a short ski trip - very clean, everything we needed, and April replied quickly to any questions! Would highly recommend.

    Alma-Lynn2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • This place surpassed my expectations! It was incredibly cute and had a plethora of amenities including DVDs (huge selection), board games, plenty of towels and blankets, a kitchen with pretty much everything you could need, and more. We cooked some of our own meals and watched movies after a long day on the slopes. For the value we paid, this place was top notch. If I every return to Sugarloaf, I would love to stay here again. Check in was super simple and it’s easy to find. April was also great and communicative.

    Amy2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • This place is immaculately clean, in a convenient location, and cozy & comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would welcome the opportunity to stay here again.

  • Very clean, easy location. Cozy spot!

    Benny2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • A clean studio condo with great use of space. Includes all basic amenities and only a 10-15 minute drive to Sugarloaf. As a family of three we’d definitely stay there again. April was really great with communication.

    Amy2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent home base for sugarloaf. It’s a small studio but it has everything you need. It’s also a short walk from Tufulios so you can have dinner and drinks and walk home.

    Caleb2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • The condo had everything we needed for a relaxing trip to Sugarloaf. Location was perfect - just 10 minutes from the mountain, and right next to Tufulio's restaurant. It was nice after a long day of skiing to just walk next door for dinner. Dvd collection was fun too! Thanks April!! :)

Riverside condo minutes to Sugarloaf! One-bedroom condo just a few miles from Sugarloaf and the Outdoor Center. Just steps from trails for hiking, mountain biking, and skiing. Look out over the river while you grill on the back patio and enjoy a Maine beer! Also next to a popular restaurant and bar. One note- the cell reception in Carrabassett Valley is not good. That makes it a great place to get away from it all, but not a good place if you need to make important phone calls!!
  • We were headed up north to enjoy a weekend of skiing at Sugarloaf. The location was great and just 10 minutes away. Easy access to the mountain just turning right out of the driveway and left onto the access road. Aubreys place was easy to access, clean and comfortable. She even left a surprise for us when we got there. This place was perfect for us to ski all day, come back take a quick nap and be ready for dinner and some drinks after. Aubrey directed us to some local establishments that were pleasant and had amazing food. We really liked The Rack BBQ.

    Albert2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • It was very comfortable, everything I needed and easy proximity to the mountain.

    Caroline2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • The condo is in a great spot to access Sugarloaf and the surrounding restaurants and activities. It was very clean, cozy, and perfect to come back to after long days of skiing. Audrey was a very thoughtful host, as well. We had a really lovely weekend in Carrabassett Valley

    Sarah2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey's place was exactly as described. Really great and easy location for skiing at Sugarloaf and enjoying the Xcountry and hiking Trails. A real bonus to be next to the great restaurant Tufulios. The condo is simply and nicely furnished and sparkling clean. It was quiet and cozy and warm and plenty of space for two people. Check-in and check-out are super easy, and Audrey responded almost instantly whenever I had a question. Great value. We'll come again.

    Henrietta2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Audrey was quick to respond to all of my texts and messages. She had thoughtful touches that made us feel welcome. The location of her apt is perfect for all year around. We stayed here in the winter and it was about 15 mins away from sugarloaf skiing. We also got our skis tuned up at Happy Tunes which is across the parking lot. I suggest bringing food since Audrey has a full kitchen with a large fridge. She also has an awesome grill. The set up was cozy and warm. I highly recommend her place and having Audrey as a host.

    MaryBeth2019-12-22T00:00:00Z
  • Must say, nice little place located in just the right place for all your outdoor fun. Price was excellent and place is nice and tidy with everything you could ask for. Enjoyed my comfortable stay. Thanks.

Slope-side condo on quiet, family road. Newly refurbished throughout in 2019. Ski in and 2 minute walk across road to ski to chair. Shuttle service available. On the cross-country/hiking/mountain biking trails.
On Mountain, family friendly, quiet neighborhood. A short 5-minute walk to Sugarloaf village.
  • Great trail side location, newly redone, clean, great hosts, accurate photos.

    Hannah2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This place is great for a small family looking to hit the slopes! Extremely clean, with lots of nice touches - loads of coffee, toothbrushes & soap (unused of course), paper towels, toilet paper, soft fresh towels, dish soap, dish washer detergent...oh and a washer & dryer with laundry detergent provided! I am used to places where we have to bring these things, so it was really nice that they were all provided. All we needed to bring was our ski gear! Beds were extremely comfy too. But the best part is the location! It’s just a 1 min walk from the condo to the traverse that you can ski down to the Whiffletree Lift (we were there in February so there was plenty of snow for us to do this). Gene was a great host! Very responsive. We will be staying here again for sure! Thank you Gene! We had a great February break!

    Emily2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nice two bedroom condo. Excellent kitchen, wireless? And location. 4 minute walk to all slopes. Great value

    Michael2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Great condo, with relatively easy ski-in/ski-out.

    Chris2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay. The condo was immaculate, the kitchen was well stocked and it is just a short walk from the slopes. We look forward to returning in the future!

    Wendy2020-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • Gene is excellent at communicating with you. The condo is a great location-ski off for breaks and lunch. Just a short walk to ski on across the road. Very clean and just a nice little space. Would definitely recommend this to others.

    Julia2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Gene's place is in a great location, it's spacious, clean and comforting to come back to after a long day on the slopes. The condo is a seven minute downhill walk to the lifts. The way back would be an uphill walk, a shuttle ride, or a ski in from the stubs trail. Would definitely book again!

Our B&B was built in 1905, & has the charm of a Victorian farm house. There are 6 rooms, 3 w/ private baths, & 2 w/ shared baths. We are on a quiet side street, an easy walk to town with gift shops & restaurants. Sugarloaf Mtn. is 17 miles away with alpine & nordic skiing, as well as hiking, mountain biking, and an 18 hole golf course with stunning mountain views. Maine Huts & Trails is nearby where you can hike, bike, snowshoe or nordic ski. At Flagstaff Lake enjoy swimming & kayaking.
The six rooms in the B&B vary from queen, king, or twin beds, all with wi-fi, and some even have stained glass windows. There is a large front porch with rocking chairs that is the perfect spot to relax with a book. A short walk to town and you can enjoy numerous shops, galleries and restaurants.
We are happily located in a quiet neighborhood made up of beautiful Victorian homes, giving you a lovely taste of small town New England . You are no more than a five minute walk to half of Kingfield's restaurants and about a 10 minute drive from the rest!
  • A really charming bed and breakfast. Very comfortable and exactly what we hoped for. The B and B is right next door to their restaurant 1 Stanley which is a reason it visit in itself. One of my favorite restaurants anywhere. The highlight of our stay was meeting Dan at breakfast. A very pleasurable stay all the way around.

    Darrell2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts. Great place.

    Chris2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is the second time we’ve stayed at Dan & Susan’s, and it’s just as we remembered! The full service breakfast in the morning is a super nice touch, and even if sometimes they aren’t as responsive on Airbnb just give them a quick call and they’re super accommodating. We’ll be back in February again!

    Stephen2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful place, and friendly host!

    Anne2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We LOVED this place. It was super clean, comfortable, charming and well situated. We will definitely recommend and be back again.

    Melissa-Marie2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautifully appointed house in a quiet neighborhood filled with antiques, stained glass and historical memorabilia. Dan and Susan are fascinating and experienced hosts who have been involved with the ski business, fine cuisine, and Sugarloaf since it's inception. One Stanley Avenue is a fabled restaurant where breakfast and dinner are served. It is next door to the b and b. Parking is ample and the towels are luxurious. I highly recommend a stay here.

    Holly2019-03-24T00:00:00Z
  • Susan and Dan were exceptionally hospitable hosts. The breakfasts were amazing. The property has a classic, vintage New England feel to it. I definitely plan to stay here again the next time I am in the area!

    Andrew2019-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect home base for a special ski weekend escape. The room was clean and comfortable, and the Victorian style furniture made everything feel very quaint and lovely (although the bed was a little creaky, but very comfortable). Breakfast in the morning was fabulous - delicious and beautifully presented! And Dan and Susan were very hospitable - giving us advice on getting to Sugarloaf and remembering our drink preferences for breakfast the second morning. Overall this was a fabulous stay! My only complaint was the room temperature seemed to fluctuate quite a bit overnight and there was no obvious way to control it. Likely a side effect of the age of the building.

Come and play in the beautiful mountains of western Maine! Cozy cabin for two perfect for a quiet getaway. Direct access to ATV trails and miles and miles of exploring the outdoors on nostalgic paths used long ago by the railroad. If you decide to venture away from the cabin by car, Rangeley and Sugarloaf USA are both 35 miles away & the college town of Farmington is just 15 minutes south. We know you'll fall in love with the quiet pace of Freeman Township, Maine.
This is a very rural area. There is a small convenience store a few miles down the road, but grocery shopping and restaurants are just a quick 15 minutes away.
  • Cozy little cabin in a beautiful part of the Maine wilderness. Near a cabin and right off a snowmobile trail. Elizabeth is responsive and the place was very clean and nicely appointed for a rural getaway weekend.

    Ted2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Elizabeth and Travis are remarkable host! very prompt in responding to my many questions about the snowmobile trails in the area. The roads are safe and well plowed even after a major snow storm we experienced. The stay at this home is going to be the highlight of your trip. The owner Frank, met us in person, showed everything in the house, provided snakes for each possible taste everywhere. The bathrooms have plenty of towels. Very comfortable stay and a great host.

  • Samantha’s farm (Runamuck Acres) is the perfect get away. Particularly for people on a budget! It has everything you need and nothing you don’t. The meals she provides are AMAZING. Her pets are the friendliest and they will keep you company if you let them. The drive to sugarloaf was only 34 minutes and you pass a grocery store, a restaurant and a pizza place on the way so you can bring dinner home to cook, eat or eat out. Whichever you feel! This setting truly makes you feel like you are supporting the local economy as well as someone’s family and small business. I highly recommend.

The kitchen is fully appointed for both the chef or the non cook looking to slam a meal together in the Crock pot. Enjoy family dinners together in the spacious dinning room.
It's an easy walk to "down town"- Groceries, Beer, gas, sledding hill, bike trails, pharmacy, banks, post office, restaurants, museums, additional beds are all right there.
  • This was our second time staying in this house over Presidents Day weekend. One of our kids is living nearby so it was a chance to gather together as a family, and enjoy the skiing nearby at Sugarloaf. Two friends also joined us (we were a total of 3 teenagers and 4 adults). We rented the entire house. The best parts of this house are its well-stocked open kitchen, the comfortable beds, the nice light, and the cleanliness of everything. This time we also enjoyed the firepit at the side of the house. We had a great time.

  • Thank you Pete and Weezy for a wonderful stay! My group was 2 families: 4 adults and three kids over 11. We stayed here to ski at Sugarloaf Resort--a short 20 minute drive to the hill. As advertised, this house is spacious with all the amenities listed. Built in 1860, this home is full of character and yet upgraded to meet modern needs. Well done! No problems with Wifi either. The town has a supermarket, liquor outlet, ski gear outlet, coffee roasterie, restaurants and gasbar. There are also Nordic ski trails in the area. Pete met us at the house to welcome us and give us a tour and to brief us on the area. I definitely recommend this airBNB offering for a large group!!

  • Pete and Weezy were great hosts! Awesome house for skiing at sugarloaf, plenty of room and beds, great kitchen and has a fire pit! Couldn’t have asked for anything more!

  • We stayed here on a cold and snowy weekend, and this house was wonderful. We were 7 people (4 teenage kids, one couple and one extra adult), and the house was absolutely comfortable and commodious for us all. The kitchen is large and open and well-equipped for cooks. The bedrooms are all cozy and clean and quiet -- we all slept very well here! The house is quaint and old-fashioned, like an old farm house, but the decor is crisp and clean and tasteful. Unlike some other rentals I've been in, the WiFi is good. There is a pretty good grocery store less than 2 miles away (Tranten's), which was really convenient. There is not a regular shower stall in the house, but there are two charming, large, old-fashioned claw-foot tubs: one has a tall shower apparatus surrounded by a shower curtain; the other has a hand-held attachment so you can wash your hair while you're sitting in the tub. The house is bright and clean and well laid-out. Pete and Weezy were excellent hosts.

  • Molly was so incredibly timely at getting back to us about a couple incidences we had with the house. She dealt with it right away and made amends for any inconveniences we had. Overall it is an absolutely charming house, in a perfect place to start our ski day from!

  • Our large party really enjoyed staying at Molly’s house! The home has an easy to access location close to both town and Sugarloaf, and plenty of space for 9 adults to sleep comfortably. Perfect for a weekend ski trip!

  • Clean and comfy house for ski trips to Sugarloaf. Highly recommend for other guests to stay.

    Steven2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Molly's place exceeded our expectations. Myself and 4 friends stayed here for our annual guys ski trip. The place was larger than we had thought and as a result we were extremely comfortable at all times. Great kitchen, spacious bedrooms, two full baths, excellent living room with fireplace. Relatively close to Sugarloaf mountain (30 min drive). It was clean and fully functional. We wouldn't hesitate for one minute to stay there again.

This 750 square foot condo slopeside and ski in - ski out. There is good lighting in the living room and privacy in the upstairs loft. You are within walking distance to bars, restaurants, and shops. There is a health club in the building you can purchase a day pass to which has a pool, out door hot tubs, and a fitness center. The cost is $12 per day per person. There are two parking spots available for you and your guests.
The space very open and has views of Sugarloaf Mountain and a deck you can go out on. The ceilings are very high and the space feels more spacious than it actually is.
Sugartree is very friendly and there are many neighbors around you. The location is family friendly and there are a number of restaurants, bars, and outdoor winter activities to partake in within walking distance outside your doorstep.
  • The location is great and the beds are comfortable. No worries about staying warm. This condo is on the top floor so we kept the heat off most of the time. Skiing was amazing even though there hasn’t been recent snow. We cooked in and had a great two days. Carl was always quick with a response. Ordered pizza from Shipyard and the order was all wrong and they have not responded to our email yet but there are other great places to eat. Had a great time.
