Our Penthouse Studio offers a spacious open plan room, suitable for a single person, couple, family (including babies) and business travellers. Balcony overlooking the fabulous Hinterland views of Brisbane, the entire studio is exclusively yours. ☺ Apartment size: 80m2 Large balcony: with outdoor al fresco dining area. This is an open plan space with the option of a king size bed or 2x single beds. With 2x fold out sofa chair beds available for extra persons at an extra cost. Guests have access to DVD player with DVDs. We also have DVDs suitable for children. For a family with infants and toddlers. I do charge $20 for the use of a Portacot, includes bedsheets and blankets. Please let me know if you wish to have this option so I can set it up prior to your arrival. But if you wish to set up the Portacot yourself and put away, then there is no charge or if your children are sleeping with you. We can set up a play tent upon request. I have a baby bathtub for your convenience. Ceiling fan in lounge space and in bedroom space with remote controls for extra comfort. There are two air conditioners, one in the bedroom area and the other in the kitchen. Kitchenette - stand alone cooktop and stove - microwave - toaster - sandwich maker - jug - coffee plunger - pots, pans, utensils, crockery and more. My building is a hotel/apartment. There is a restaurant at Lobby level, open only for breakfast and serves continental breakfast during weekdays or there is Cafe 63 down the road (3mins walk). Bathroom - bath and hand towels - shampoo & conditioner - body wash - hairdryer. I have a suction grab bar for you to use to assists your balance while entering or exiting the shower. There are no steps in the apartment. Housekeeping is available at an added cost $25. This can be organised during your stay. Extra sheets and towels are available at extra costs.
The apartment is located at 311 Vulture Street, South Brisbane. Hillcrest Apartment Hotel. We are located next door to Mater Private Hospital, near Queensland Children's Hospital 8mins walk down to the heart of Southbank, cafes, restaurants, cinema and shops Approx 15 - 20mins walk to Art galleries, Queensland Museum, QPAC, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, State Library of Queensland, The Wheel of Brisbane, GOMA and the Gabba Cricket ground 5mins walk down to the Maritime Museum Ferry Terminal – ride on the free CityHopper to the city or cruise part of the Brisbane River 10 mins to Riverstage, Brisbane and Queensland of Technology University Suncorp Stadium is about 3.7km walk away. If you have pre-purchased tickets to Games or Concerts you can travel on the bus for free to and from the stadium. Mater Hill Station is about 5 mins walk from the apartment. Coming back from the stadium, go down to the Bus station and catch the Eight Miles Plains bus (third bus stop - Mater Hill Station).

    GREAT unit with cute little balcony . The unit may be small but it is in the most sort after suburb of Brisbane - free hopper ferry to take you to the city, South bank and other great ports. I stay here when not booked to unwind and have a mini holiday. No road noise just the river.
    While unit is small and compact it is great price, in I feel best suburb of Brisbane. Huge gym to work out in. Cafe on site and many comfortable sitting areas in the complex. Beautiful parks and river walks. You can create simple meals in compact kitchenette or eat out at the most amazing restaurants to suit all price ranges.
    No road noise and best suburb in Brisbane that's what I think everything at your door step.

    This Luxury Appartment is situated in a beautiful Suburb called Kangaroo Point, very close to the CBD. It's close to City Hopper, (Free River Ferry) its the quickest transport to Brisbane CBD (a 5 minute trip across the river) the appartment is large, spacious and luxurious.
    It's a large 3 bedroom apartment and guest area is very private, situated at other end of the space. Great breezes flow through the space and has plenty of natural light. It is very luxurious and the large balcony is perfect to sit and relax while watching the activity on the river. This is an outstanding apartment and you'll quickly feel it's warmth and luxury with natural Feng Sui sweeping throughout.
    It's inner city living without the noise, just a 5 min walk over the bridge or cross the river on the free ferry and your in the heart of the city. This upmarket neighbourhood is leafy and famous for its walks, sporting activities and the best city and river views in Brisbane

  • It is very accessible. If you guys are traveling from Brisbane airport, and wishes to use the public transport, its just a train ride to Central station and, a 10 minute walk to Eagle street Ferry. From Thornton Street station (the next ferry station), its just a 5 minute walk to the place. Great for those who wanted to stay in a quiet place but wishes not to stay not so far from the city.

  • Peter's place is super clean, the most cosy and comfy bed, large kitchen. The apartment is easy to access and located in a central part of Kangaroo Point. Access to the city is a breeze because the little ferry terminal is 5 minutes away. A long walk of an hour or jog up towards South Bank is so enjoyable along the riverbank. Hire an inexpensive electric scooter and you'll be more mobile to enjoythe city as I did and scoot alongthe riverbank taking only 10 minutes. Great place, great host and fab value for money. Would book again.

  • Peter's place is in an excellent location, with 5mins walk away from the free city ferry. His place is also granted with excellent view of the river. He greeted us with warm hospitality and provided us wonderful information about the Brisbane and the ferry timing. There is also free visitor parking for those who are driving.

    Second bed is a Queen bed made up from the leather divan in the lounge which is very comfortable. We would love to welcome you to stay in our Private , Cosy , Comfortable , Quaint Unit. Unlimited Wifi , TV with Netflix .Walk to City Centre ,Southbank ,Gabba River walks. 4 restaurants ,3 takeaways , cafe within 2 minutes walk . Ground floor Unit with garden, on a road with inner city traffic , we have double glazed bedroom windows . Free carpark for your use at the Units .
    Only six apartments in the block , the unit is on a busy road so we have had a sound barrier wall built in front and the bedroom has double secondary window but if you are sensitive to noise I leave earplugs also . Most Guests love the location because of the many cafes and restaurants nearby , the 24 hour store one minute walk and ease of accessing everywhere . We love a comfortable bed and many Guests comment on how comfortable the Queen bed is . Your own garden with outdoor area to dine , lie in a hammock or enjoy the Rocking Chair . Italian restaurant, Vietnamese restaurant and Family friendly hotel with great Aussie menu ,Seafood Wine Bar and Kentucky chicken , MacDonalds and Subway all within several minutes walk from the Unit . Coffee shop next door .Twenty min walk to Southbank with over 100 restaurants, cinema, swimming at a man made beach, Markets on Friday and Saturday , Thirty minute walk to city centre , less than 200 metres to river walks . The building was originally a Nunnery built over 100 years ago and converted into six units 20 yrs ago . It is an older building but very cosy , There is air conditioning in the lounge area and also three mobile fans in the home . The unit is prepared for guests and keys left in secured box if I can't be there to greet you. You have the unit for your sole use . . You are welcome to smoke in the Courtyard as it is a private space for you.
    The 100 year old Nunnery is now six Units , located a beautiful 25 minute walk along the river and gardens to City Centre . Many cafes, fast food and restaurants close by . Fortitude Valley - China Town is 20 mins walk . Southbank Parklands which has many restaurants, movie theatre, Museum , swimming lagoons , markets , GOMA , Convention Centre is a lovely 20 minute walk from unit along the riverwalk . The Gabba Sports Ground is an 8 minute walk away . City cycles to hire to get around five min walk . Riverlife , ten min walk along river to go abseiling , rock climbing , kayaking ( day and night) , stand up paddle boarding . They like 48 hrs notice for some of the activities so check out their website .

I have just stayed 5 nights, for reasons other than pleasure so wasn't there to enjoy the surrounds. Access to the City and surrounding suburbs so painless. The unit itself - absolutely clean & tidy with lots of little personal touches resulting in a very "homely" feel. From self check in to check out, a seamelss process, and a most comfortable stay.   • We really enjoyed our stay and would love to return on our next adventure to Brisbane. The listing photos are accurate. The furnishings and decor showed exceptional character, and it's clear that a lot of heart has gone into this unit. My partner loved the fresh eggs on arrival. The proximity to the city is excellent, and we enjoyed being able to use Brisbane's shared e-scooters right from our front door. The secondary bedroom window did a good job of blocking out noise from the main road. The A/C in the lounge room will adequately cool the bedroom with sensible closing of doors and windows. Liz was a wonderful host to us. She well and truly exceeded our expectations for responsiveness and was available day and night to address any concerns. Her openness to feedback—especially after so many years in operation—really impressed me, and she was only too happy to implement our small suggestions for the benefit of future guests. Thank you, Liz. I hope we can manage to meet you personally next time.

  • As a local moving back to Brisbane, Liz’s unit was exactly what we needed when we moved back. The unit is very conveniently located and has an easy to enter car park at the rear. Liz has curated a very relaxing place that makes you feel like you’re in a little oasis. She also left various food items for breakfast and snacks and fresh eggs from her chickens. Liz is the sort of host that makes you feel welcome even though we never met her and is exactly what Airbnb should be about. Strong recommendation for anyone considering it and the price is very reasonable too.

What more could you ask for. Brisbane City Botanical Gardens - Very well kept gardens with many species of plants and animals. Great walking / running tracks. Sunday markets, Picnic areas. The Gabba Cricket Grounds - Sports Facilities, German Club - Great food, drink and entertainment. Hotels - Pineapple Hotel, Story Bridge Hotel, Sharftson Hotel, Norman Hotel. All within walking distance. Great food, Drink and entertainment. Story Bridge Adventure Climb - Brisbane Jazz Club - Restaurants - Banter Bar and Seafood Cliffs Cafe Thai Rose Spizzico

The house has a beautiful back yard (with a pool) and deck. Super nice host and prepare the room very well before. And the check in process is quite professional.

  • Mark is an amazing host! I was living in his house for 11 days to get settled and find a shared flat to live for my exchange semester. He had lots of tips for travelling, good places to be around Brisbane, shopping locations, how to get a bike and so much more. It was really good to have an experienced local like him for my first days in Brisbane. The room and the house is very clean. Everything I needed was there, as described in the listing. Check-in and out was easy and flexible. Communication was great. The dog is very friendly and shy. Highly recommended place to stay if you look for an inexpensive accomodation and want to experience Australian culture.

  • Rosanne is a wonderful host! The apartment was pristine and there were so many little thoughtful touches that made my stay so easy and comfortable. Fantastic communication made a super easy check in. I ended up extending the duration of my stay several times as the location and facilities were just brilliant. Rosanne was extremely accommodating and was very quick in responding to any queries I had. I loved seeing the water dragons that roam freely around the poolside which is in a lovely quiet spot (a haven where I spent a lot of time!). I used the free ferry to hop across the river frequently which made getting around really easy. This has been one of my favourite air bnb stays and I cannot thank Rosanne enough for her kind hospitality, I would absolutely recommend staying here.

  • Nice, clean, well equipped apartment in a fantastic location. Easy walk down to the ferry terminal to take the free hopper across the river to be right in central Brisbane. The apartment is cosy (there is not a lot of room as per the photos) but it is perfectly adequate for a few nights stay. Also there is no balcony/courtyard but you have access to the wonderful pool and BBQ area which is great even when it is raining as it has a good covered area. Good communication from the host, easy check in and secure parking. Good value for money.

Walking distance to The Story Bridge Hotel, Jazz Club and a lovely Indian restaurant. It felt good to come back to Kangaroo Point after a busy day. Nice view from the river over night skyscrapers in town. The only downside is the fridge door that faces in the wrong direction ... totally ok for us but if you are overweight it may be difficult to squeeze past. Big and huge thanks to Rosanne!   • We spent two nights at Jai's place. It's in a great position, quite central and well connected with the transports. The amazing view from the balcony is adding a special touch to the apartment which is already cozy. In the building, gym, pool (and jacuzzi tub) are present so it was nice to check them out at the end of a day spent around the city. Also 7/11, a good coffee shop and BWS are just next to the building, which is nice for a quick pop up. Jai was a great host, giving us advices for places where to have a meal with a nice view by the river and other recommendations for sightseeing around the city. Overall we spent a good time at Jai's place and definitely I would recommend other people to stay there.

The bed was a little bouncy and you can feel the movement of the other person if you share it. I’m a little sensitive to that so some people might not notice or mind. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

The appartment is more spacious and better equipped that I tought just looking the photos.   • I loved staying at Lee and Damien’s house. I was made to feel really at home. They are so welcoming, very helpful and have great sense of humour. The house is lovely, very clean and tidy with everything you need. It’s a short walk into the city, and I enjoyed walking in through the botanical gardens to get there. There’s good transport links with a main bus station just 10 minutes walk away, and a free hopper ferry from nearby too that also goes into the city. I’d definitely recommend.

The Gabba (cricket/AFL) stadium is in walking distance and the famous Story Bridge Hotel is a great place to grab a drink and a meal. Just over the bridge is the new Howard Smith Wharves development with restaurants, brewery, wine bar, eateries and picnic spots - all with a great view of the Brisbane River and Story Bridge. Free River Ferry's run from the three nearby stops, City Cycle is available very close by and there are walking paths beside the river for an easy walk to South Bank. You can also hire a scooter or bike to get around and see Kangaroo Point and the City.

But we didn’t need one as Jeff and Pauline had a bottle of bubbly sitting in a bucket with ice with some chocolate on the side too. Aircon, balcony, Tv, wifi, a washing machine and a dryer. Don’t need to use the dryer as the clothes dried easy on the clothes rack on the balcony outside. Great place and would stay again for sure.

  • We got an opportunity to get away for a few days from our apartment during this crazy covid times. New to Queensland we decided to stay at Karen's apartment on level 50 in Sky Tower Brisbane. Now being able to see panoramic views from such a height up and distances so far away to the mountains was such a great feeling that you don't often get to experience. This was made even better as the space is a decent size, very clean chic apartment. The amazing views aside our 2 equally favorite things were the bed with its crisp white linen and the pillows snd mattress were like sleeping amongst clouds (very hard to wake up and want to do anything else) and the other is the bathroom with the lighting the size of the space the waterfall shower head .. we loved our 2 nights there and will book again for sure. I've got to shout out to Karen also for being such a lovely friendly face to be greeting by even though we were late she was patient and helpful and all smiles .. makes a big difference and a great way to start our stay.

It was good that the bus stops where the accommodation location could go in various directions are close, so you can easily walk around. It was good to be able to use the internal facilities of the hostel comfortably, but the heating power of the kitchen was weak, so cooking was a little uncomfortable, and the pressure of the shower in the bathroom was weak, so I was really satisfied with the inconvenience except when I was taking a shower. Thanks to Rex for taking care of her for two weeks.

Transport options with Uber, busses from Queen St, and trains from Central will get you anywhere. Unit was very functional and quiet during the almost two weeks I stayed while looking after my old mother's move to a nursing home.

  • Jay’s place was exactly what I needed for my 4 night stay in Brisbane. The apartment is quite small but has absolutely everything that you would need. Jay was a great communicator and seemed to really care about how my stay was going. I got some good use out of the building’s gym as well. There is limited equipment, but I was very happy with having access to a gym at all. Overall, this was a great stay at a great price and I will definitely be returning.

    Quiet, safe neighbourhood. Very therapeutic to sit and watch the boats go by on the river.

There are two huge benefits that made this stay so very lovely -- the little balcony with gorgeous river views and the common area for the units that is right on the water. The setting is quiet with very little noise from neighbours. All of the basics are provided. Marcus is an excellent host. We plan to be back!

We loved swimming daily in the cute little swimming pool. We didn’t have a car but we had good access to The harbour and ferry’s which we used daily. Our host was always quick to respond and sort out any issues we had. Would book again😊

  • This studio apartment was perfect for what we needed! Right on the river so every afternoon we would sit until the sun had set taking in the breeze, watching the boats go by. A short walk to The ferry terminal meant we could leave the car behind if going in to the city. Washer and dryer which came in handy. Side note... parking is never guaranteed as there are 12 units with 10 carparks. We were quite lucky that we only Missed out twice but parking on the street is only 2hrs without a permit. But overall we were very happy, it’s a bargain and would happily stay again.

AC would’ve been a nice addition for the bedroom as it was still quite warm with just a ceiling fan, not a big deal for us but might be for some. The apartment is in a busy area so light sleepers should bring ear plugs. Would stay again!
