  • Great cabin, clean, cozy, and all you need except food and drinks! The only thing I can say that would be negative is that you can hear everything that is happening in the attached cabin. Besides that great stay!

Explore Big Wood Lake and Moose River via canoe or kayak. Several hiking trails are nearby where you can discover waterfalls and possibly a Moose! Winter activities include ice fishing and access to snowmobile trails.
  • Book now for your next family snowmobile trip or lake get-away! Gretchen is great with sharing details, answering questions and providing local suggestions. The cabin was clean and spacious, but cozy and comfortable! The couches and beds are of great quality for resting and sleeping. The cabin is located conveniently by the trail, lake and town. But quiet enough to feel far away. We stayed 7 nights (family of 4) snowmobiling and touring. No regrets from our family!!

    Teri2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • Had a wonderful visit at this cabin! Small bit plenty of beds. Loved the gorgeous woodwork. We had everything we needed and the host responded so promptly. Loved how close to town we were! Great stay.

  • What a hidden gem this was. We were looking for a place to sleep up to 8 people in the town of Jackman and was difficult. We found this house and took a chance on it making sense for our group of guys who go hunting every year around Veterans Day. We were 100% satisfied with every detail of the place. We only had 6 guys ultimately show up for the trip and it comfortably held us all. The view out the front windows was stunning looking over Wood Pond. Gretchen's Place is outfitted with canoes, Kayaks, Ice Fishing gear, Snowmobiles; anything you may want, or just relax on the deck with your favorite beverage. Thank you Gretchen for making our annual family hunting trip another success. We'll be back next year!

  • Great location on the lake. The house was clean, and the owners were easy to work with and very responsive to my questions.

    Joanne2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We chose to stay in Jackman because we wanted a “staycation” away from home. What a great time we had just sitting in the beautiful deck listening to the loons and watching the sunsets. A hummingbird flew up and hovered in front of me just checking us out. If you get up early, you can watch the eagles fly from the trees and swoop down onto the lake. There were three sets of binoculars provided which was nice because one person in our party is quickly losing her vision to macular dystrophy. My cousin’s on in law took his 5 year old daughter out in the canoe and she caught her first fish, a bass, that her dad threw back. She was thrilled! And he took his 2 year old out in the kayak. There were life jackets provided but he brought us own for the kids. We just loved stargazing and saw a momma moose with her two babies. We would love to come back to Jackman and relax and get away again and Moose Point would be our FIRST choice. A lovely home. A beautiful view. Great amenities.

  • Great camp with a nice view over the lake. Inside was super clean and had plenty of room for our 2 families on our atv trip. Parking was limited but adequate and the camp is walking distance from town. Overall a great weekend! Owners were super to deal with and extremely accommodating.

    Scott2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • A very nice place, we really recommend it! Gretchen's explanations were top! We took a canoe on the lake just in front of the house, we really enjoyed our stay there!

    Celine2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely spot on the lake. Great views of the lake, quiet, and a fantastic spot for our family to use as basecamp while going rafting on the kennebec. Don't hesitate to book. Gretchen was very responsive and the place was spotless. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back! Look for the eagle in the tallest tree by the front door....it was there every morning.

Directions, information, and check in instructions were sent prior to the beginning of our trip and was incredibly convenient. Can’t thank them enough for a quiet and peaceful weekend away!

Enjoy northern Maine in comfort & style! Located on the quiet Wood Pond with a perfect view of Sally Mountain.
Access to snowmobiling & four wheeling trails; 1 hr drive to St George, Quebec; dock to access lake- fishing, kayaking, swimming, public boat launch located 1/2 mile down the road! 30 minute drive to The Forks where you can book whitewater rafting trips or hike to Moxie Falls. You can also head to Rockland and take a ferry to hike Mt. Keno. Wrap around front porch with rocking chairs and a grill! Tiled 1st floor and hardwood upstairs.
  • We came for a snowmobile adventure and this camp did not disappoint! House had a warm, welcoming appeal with a heated garage and four comfortable rocking chairs for changing in/out of gear. Trail/lake access was a zip up the road; fuel and food nearby as well. Beds were comfortable, towels plentiful and linens clean. Beautiful wrap around porch with views of nature, side view from kitchen of local peak. Plenty of seating in common area, space for food preparation and Keurig for coffee. We had a wonderful time and would recommend! I would also like to say, I had several questions prior to and after booking that Kristen handled very well. Communication was excellent and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Thank you

    Jason2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen’s place was great!! Super clean, plenty of room, beautiful views and we had a blast! The lake house is located right “in town” Jackman, close to groceries, a few restaurants and this place does not disappoint if you’re looking for a relaxing, low key weekend!! I have lived in Maine my whole life but this was my first time to Jackman, I will definitely be returning!

  • A beautiful house on a very quiet lake. We boated each day and only saw two other boats. We also caught a salmon while trolling. The house is newly updated and the pictures did not do justice on how clean and new the interior looks. I would stay here again In the future

    Jared2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We can't wait to stay at this great spot again for next year's snowmobiling season. You couldn't ask for better trail access, proximity to bishops and gas is fabulous and plenty of parking for trailers. This is a really great property and fantastic hosts! We E enjoyed every minute of our stay.

    Kathy2019-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time staying in the (spotless) house. The house is located right on Big Wood Lake and it is perfect for snowmobiling. We will definitely stay here again in the future!!

  • My friends and family had a very pleasant experience staying at the lake house! Everything was very clean and cozy. We needed a place to stay to go snowmobiling for a long weekend and this home was perfect. The trails are very easy to access from the home. Kristen was an excellent host and was very responsive.

    Matt2019-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Kristen's Lake front Home in Jackman Maine is amazing. We had a great time with family. Hanging at the fire pit, hiking to Moxy Falls, renting a boat, swimming, River rafting in the Forks. A beautiful home nice to be at peace with family and Mother Nature!

  • We needed a quiet spot with good wi-fi close to the Canada border so we could escape and relax but get some work done and this place was perfect for that. Lovely views of the lake from the wraparound porch. The house was spotless, and we made some nice meals in the modern kitchen space. Just an hour from Moosehead Lake area, which was a nice day trip.

It is wheelchair accessible and includes an automatic backup generator to guarantee power in even the fiercest Nor'easter. Unwind and play in the game room that includes a bar, dartboard, poker table, and board games.
We reside on secluded lot surrounded by trees on three sides. The neighborhood is tight knit community filled with families and private residences.
  • Great snowmobile house. Clean and tidy will definitely come back next year.

  • Amazing location for snowmobilers only a few minutes from town. Trail access right around the corner. Plenty of parking for trucks and trailers. The house was sparkling clean and was very comfortable. Highly recommended and will certainly be back.

    Ryan2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Chalet was absolutely beautiful very clean and in a great location for snowmobiling the driveway was plenty big for our 3 trucks with 4 place trailers. Everyone inside was very comfortable the space is very roomy. Will definitely stay again in the future.

  • What a wonderful place to stay in Jackman. Was only there for a brief time, but if my travels bring me back to the area I will certainly look to stay again. While the pond, games, horseshoes and landscaping were great, it was small details Darrick considers that sets this place apart! Highly recommend staying here on your next trip to Jackman.

    Kai2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Expect Wonderful informative communication with the host and a clean, beautiful and entertaining spot in Maine!

    Elizabeth2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Chalet was great would definitely recommend a stay here ! There were welcome baskets with snacks and candy when we arrived. We were a group of 7 and we all fit very comfortably. We were initially concerned it might be hot with no AC’s and it being August and going to be high 80’s. But it wasn’t a problem at all. It cools down at night and the Chalet stayed comfortable the whole time. The futons they have (in the game room and also in the loft area [in addition to the king size bed up there too]) too are comfortable and thick, not your average thin mattress you typically see with futons. The game room was a great place for us all to hang out when we got back from our day trip out. We were up this way for a rafting trip and the house was about 30 mins away so it was very conveniently located. There’s also a grocery store that’s 5–10 mins away, so while you’re definitely up in the mountains and you’re close to a store if you find you need anything. We will definitely book this place if we are ever up this way again.

  • This house is a great location in Jackman. It’s a rustic house that’s very clean and sleeps several people. Wifi is great. Hot tub out side is nice after snowmobiling. Upstairs has two bedrooms with two more beds in the landing area. Outlets are very few in the bedrooms. I always pack an extension cord, came in handy here. Would stay here again for sure.

Misty Morning Cottages is directly on Moosehead Lake with amazing views of Mt. Kineo, the Spencer Mountains and much more! Our location is one of the best fishing destinations for both open water and ice fishing seasons because each of our cottages are just steps away from Moosehead Lake!
Cottage six offers a cozy and comfortable, studio-style living space. Everything you need is at your fingertips. This area is outfitted with a double bed, a fully equipped kitchenette and a private bathroom with a standup shower. Our heat source is a thermostatically controlled propane monitor heater.
Moosehead Lake is the largest lake located in one state this side of the Mississippi! During your stay with us we encourage you to explore as much of the 100 sq. mile lake as you possibly can! If you're patient and keep your eyes peeled you're likely to sneak a peek (or a photograph if you're lucky!) of a Moose, Deer, Loons, Bald Eagles and Otters while you're here!
  • Wonderful cabin literally on the water. My husband and I stayed there for a few days in October to get back to our home state and enjoy the foliage, bird hunt, and cook our favorite unhealthy foods. The cabin was very cozy and warm. The bed was comfortable. The stove /oven was brand new and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook full meals. The shower was small and old but it’s a camp and the good water pressure and temperature made up for it. Misty was very welcoming, came right out when we pulled in. She was very flexible about check in, much more so than other AirBnB hosts who require very specific check in times. She even gave us a map of local hiking trails. Otherwise gave us our space ! The cabin is right by the road in the back but you don’t hear any traffic. Really wanted to use the campfire and picnic table but it was raining. Would definitely stay here again!

    Jennifer2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Misty and Joe were great hosts and so easy to talk to. They were very knowledgeable about the area and always offered great advice about hiking and things to see. The cabin was very clean and exactly as advertised.

  • We so enjoyed out 3 nights in #6 - a studio cabin, just big enough for the two of us. Very cozy and private - we were at the end of the row. Loved the view, and sitting out on the deck hearing the ripple of the water. Misty was very vivacious and friendly, and there when we needed her. Love the ducks, too! It was great to explore a different part of Mooshead Lake, the Rockwood area.

  • The place its outstanding, there is a few cottages there, parking right in front of your cottage. Great view, within minutes from gas station/ convince store, snowmobile rentals and fishing. We didn’t fish but we had a blast snowmobiling. There is hundreds of miles snowmobile trails in the area. The cottage itself has all the necessary items. Joe is great, very friendly and he is happy to explain what’s what in the area. I would definitely recommend this place.

Two story camp on Pleasant Street in Moose River. It's close enough to town to be convenient but far enough away to feel private. L shaped livingroom, dining area and kitchen downstairs. Three bedrooms upstairs. One bathroom with a shower. There is a television, cable service and a dvd player. Plenty of parking. The ATV trail runs right by the camp and snowmobile access is across the road.
One of our favorite things about camp is watching the deer in our back yard!

Located on the shores of Brassua Lake, cabin #3 offers a lakefront, three bedroom cabin. Brassua has much to offer, fishing right out your front door, swimming on the beach, water sports, a small store selling snacks, firewood and such as well as canoes and kayaks available to rent. On the snowmobile trails great for ice fishing, snowmobiling and hunting. Brassua is well known for its Brook Trout and Salmon fishing, also a short walk to Brassua Dam, one of the areas best fly fishing spots.NoWifi
The cabin has a new updated kitchen and bathroom as well as a screened in porch. Brassua Lake Camps offers secluded peaceful cabins for a great get away. Cabin is easy to get to but off the main road for a quiet private vacation.
  • Had a great stay for my sister in law’s birthday weekend. We had everything we needed and the shower was great. Thanks!!

  • Comfortable, quiet and beautiful spot on Moosehead's smaller and less busy sibling lake. Unobtrusive hosts. Ice cubes in the trays. Very good swimming.

    Nick2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • This trip exceeded our expectations. The view from the cabins is just spectacular! We saw loons, many other birds and two moose! Although, the moose were not viewed from the cabin. There is a nice boat dock, canoes and kayaks for rental at modest prices as well as wood for a campfire or indoor wood stove fire. Cabin #3 had a fully equipped kitchen which included a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven and coffee pot. It also included pots and pans, silverware, cutting board, dishware and mixing bowls. The cabins were clean and tidy, with extra touches like a clean sponge, dish & hand soap as well as extra towels. The bed was comfortable-we only used the queen. There was an additional bedroom with two twin beds and a loft with two twins as well. The bathroom shower was spotless and had plenty of water pressure. Our favorite place was the screened in porch, which is a must this time of year (black flies). Michelle was quick to answer any questions we had, giving us suggestions and tips and directions when asked. The hosts respected our privacy completely. Friday night's sunset was the most amazing I think I have ever seen. Would highly recommend and hope to be back in the fall.

My place is the perfect location for couples, solo adventurers, small families (with kids) or big groups (we also have two other rentals to accommodate really large groups!), and furry friends (with a pet fee).
Landing 1 has a comfy living area with cable TV. We're sure you'll be spending your time in the enclosed porch area viewing the Moose River or Moosehead Lake though! You probably will prefer to cook outside at the fire pit or on the gas grill; but if you must cook inside, the full kitchen includes microwave, toaster, coffee maker, utensils, pots and pans. The 2 bedrooms accommodate 5 people comfortably. There is a 3/4 bathroom.
Moose River in Rockwood is known for its fantastic fishing as is Moosehead Lake - we are the prime location!

Heartroot is a 240-acre retreat, a 20-minute drive from Lac-Mégantic, Qc., in the Appalachian Mountains. Airbnb rooms are in a cozy 115-year-old farmhouse on a quiet, rural (non-paved) road. We've often had artists come to do focused work on projects, or visitors who just need to "get away" for a bit. Our library is extensive; the living-room overlooks the hills toward Maine. This is a great place for peace, quiet and reconnection with Nature.
The kitchen is fully equipped for you to prepare your food. Tea, coffee and staples are included. One bedroom has a bath tub in it - otherwise the 2 bathrooms, one with a shower, are shared. There are trails and meditation spaces in the forest, 2 horses (Hercules and Amanda), 2 donkeys (Arthur and Mira), a very sweet French mastiff (Bronson) and about a gazillion cats - all across the road from the house you'll be staying in. No animals are allowed in the guest house. You can borrow snowshoes in the winter and bicycles in the summer, and there's a trampoline that people love to lie on to star-gaze - our skies are famous for their clarity.
Audet, the closest village, is on the "Route des Sommets" and a 20-minute drive from Lac-Mégantic. We're part of the International Dark Sky Preserve - the Mont Mégantic Observatory is about an hour away. Outdoor and cultural activities abound in all seasons.
  • Heartroot was lovely. I wish I could stay longer. We enjoyed two quiet winter days. So peaceful and relaxing.

The club house amenities were all amazing , very clean pool , spa , hot tub , Weight room has all you need for a great workout . Staff was very friendly and helpful . Driveway nice and wide , plenty of parking . Short walk to store if you chose to walk . Cabin was spotless, furniture all in great shape and cozy . Heat works great , gas grill for use , Good water pressure in showers , really everything was really nice . Deer Wood Cabin is a cozy cabin in the Maine woods that offers a comfortable way to enjoy nature.
Deer Wood Cabin is nestled in the woods on just under three acres. The almost daily visits by deer make this a great way to connect with nature. The comfortable living room has two couches, a recliner and a Roku TV connected to the internet. The DVD player and selection of movies are also there for your enjoyment. The wood stove will warm you up after a day of exploring Maine’s North Woods. Looking out the windows it is common to see deer crossing through the property. If you’re lucky, you may even see a moose wandering by. The kitchen has place settings for 8, as well as plenty of pots, pans, glassware, kitchen utensils and silverware. There is also a large refrigerator, gas range, oven, toaster, coffeemaker and microwave for your convenience. A spiral staircase leads upstairs to the walkway between the two bedrooms and two loft spaces. The bedrooms each have a queen and twin bed and each loft space has a full and twin bed making for a total of 8 beds. Just out the back door is the barbecue with the outdoor dining area. Listen carefully and you can hear the loons calling from the lake. The outdoor fire pit is a great way to enjoy family time. The most common sounds you will hear around the fire pit is laughter while the kids are roasting marshmallows. A short drive (or walk) down the road is the community members only beach available for your use. Moosehead Lake’s clear water is a great way to cool off during the summer months. The swimming area usually has a raft for the kids (and playful adults) to jump off of. The house also has a mooring ball for your boat. Please contact us if you would like to use the mooring for the rules regarding the community dock. Deer Wood Cabin is a great Snowmobile or ATV destination. There is plenty of parking for your trailers and the trail is just down the road. Easy access to ITS 85/85 or the lake during the winter.
Deer Wood Cabin is near Moosehead Lake and only 15 minutes from downtown Greenville which has great restaurants and shopping (groceries or local goods). Head north and Kokadjo is just 20 minutes away. For those who have spent time in this area, Kokadjo is known as the last stop before the North Woods. This area offers great fishing, photography and wildlife viewing with some of the densest moose populations in the state of Maine.

Betty is such an attentive host, and has all sorts of information for your travels. We hiked Moxie Falls, & Little Kineo Mountain while there. There are so many hiking trails, we need to return to get some more hikes in. Its an easy 2 hour drive to Quebec for the day! Thank you Betty, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit!

  • This is a great getaway for those who truly want the best of Maine- peace, quiet, and lots of wildlife! I spotted a moose on my morning walk down the street, and also saw lots of birds and other critters. House was comfortable and was everything we needed for a comfortable stay in the woods. Would book again next time we are planning a trip to the great North!

  • The Pink Lady is a great place to stay while you explore Rockwood, Greenville and the surrounding areas. The dock to take the boat to Mt. Kineo is only a few minutes away by car. We ate at Maynard's twice and also had dinner at The Birches. We fished off the dock and kayaked Moose River. Very enjoyable stay and Betty is a great host!

  • Karylyn was very caring and provided a quiet stress free environment which I needed while contract working two weeks, third shift. During a bad snow storm, a tree stopped me from getting back to her place at 1:00 am. She was very quick to respond to my message. Thank you!

  • Quaint, small space that feels like home, but offering the same amenities as a very clean motel room. Privacy, HDTV, and gracious hosts.

  • This place is on the short list next time I'm the area. A lot of thought went into the space.

    Carl2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Was exactly what I was looking for. Nights can be cold, but Karylyn has more than enough blankets to stay cozy - very cute space / definitely a little nostalgia!

    Samuel2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Karylyn is a fantastic host who will go out of her way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Communications were answered quickly and accurately. The room is separate from the main house so it's very private. The bathroom is not connected to the room and is about 50 feet away, but was very clean and inviting. I will be back! Thank you Karylyn!

Everything you could need and more! My luggage got lost on the way in and the host was kind enough to let me use their boots as I was heading hunting the next day. Superb hospitality!

  • We could not have enjoyed a better stay at Gray Ghost Camps. We planned to stay only two nights but ended up adding two additional nights for a total of four nights! Monica greeted us when we arrived and made us feel right at home! Our cabin was spotlessly clean (thank you, Monica!); the shower water pressure was strong and great; we had seemingly endless hot water for showers, dishes, etc.; the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking; and the bed was comfortable. The surrounding guests were incredibly quiet, so it was an idyllic little place to be. We loved the paddle boards and kayaks and used them multiple times a day. The river is what paddle board dreams are made of bc the water is so calm. For us, the availability to use these water toys added serious value to our stay and made the price of the stay a great value. We also loved paddling just across the river to Maynard's for coffee and breakfast in the morning. That was an unexpected treat to have that cozy, very affordable restaurant right across from us! Additionally, this location is the perfect access point for the ferry to Mt. Kineo, which is a must-do while you're here! The ferry leaves from Rockwood, which is three miles down the road. Another must-do is Rockwood Bar and Grille! The buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese base was the best pizza my husband and I have ever had! We highly recommend this place as an affordable home base for exploring this part of Maine! Thank you for having us!

Spacious cabin across the street from Moosehead Lake, with a majestic view of the lake. Large deck and lots of living space, huge living room open to kitchen. We have a dock a short walk from the cabin with a canoe that your welcome to use!
  • Great location on a quiet point just a couple miles from the main drag. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes and cookware, and having a washer and dryer is a godsend. Host is super chill and very responsive and we will book again the next time we need summer accommodations.

  • charming woodhouse, great place to relax and to spend time in the wonderful nature around. you will like the house if you like a simple, close to nature way of living. it´s wonderful to make canoe trips on the lake. the deers will welcome you personally:). Jonathan was very quick with communication and an always helpful host.

  • From the art on the walls to the wraparound porch with the view of the lake, everything was as advertised, and very nice. Clean, organized, and well stocked with all the cooking equipment we needed to make a cake. Close enough to town to be convenient but far enough to feel remote. The dock was indeed a short walk down the street, and we used our canoe and the house canoe to spend time on the lake. Jonathan was a good host, I would recommend this place.

    Trang2016-09-06T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable camp with an amazing view from a wrap-around deck. The kids loved to swim by the dock which is just a short walk through the woods. A nice base camp to explore the North Woods.

    Matthew2016-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We found the cabin to be a charming, lofty space that was nestled into the woods. The front porch ordered a lovely view of the lake that I rnjoyed from the bed of the downstairs bedroom. Jonathan was conscientious about checking in with us to make sure we had all we needed. He was the best type of host in that he left us alone to enjoy our stay. The location was perfect, a short distance to Greenville and easy to take fantastic, scenic drives to hike and do everything we wanted to do in and around Miosehead Lake. Everything was peaceful and the neighborhood super friendly. The lake access with dock and use of a canoe was stunningly gorgeous. The cabin had just the right ristic charm that we were hoping for, and we felt right at home. All in all, we were thrilled with out stay at Jonathan's cabin and would definitely stay again.

    Ronnie2016-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Moosehead Lake over Labor Day weekend. The house itself is very spacious, having three beds: one on the first level, two on separated loft levels. The house has that musty lake-house odor about it, but there are lots of windows and a ceiling fan. Aside from that, the house was very clean. As stated in the listing, there is a deck which wraps around from the front of the house to the side. The front deck has a great (albeit slightly obstructed) view of the lake. I had a nice cup of coffee with my dog, a deer, and her three fawns one morning. Vacationland indeed. As for the surrounding area: Moosehead Lake is immaculate. The views are awesome -- in the truest sense of that word. There isn't much else I can say about this without spoiling it, so we'll go on to more effable items, such as food. Dining around the area is so-so. The best meal we had was lunch at Meme’s Crab Shack, which is an RV, not a shack. You'll want the crab (go figure). Avoid the Greenville Inn. It's overpriced and geriatric. Greenville has lots of little shops, if you're in to that sort of thing. The Indian Hill Trading Post is a good place for supplies. All in all, this was a great place to unwind over the weekend. Thanks again, Jonathan!

The Farm is a working homestead farm raising pastured poultry, pigs and rabbits. Our vegetables are grown using organic methods and used on our Brick Oven Pizza.
The cabin is clean, warm and inviting. Feel free to walk out the back door to the spacious yard with lawn furnishings and enjoy our fire pit with a complimentary bundle of Wood. Walk our grounds and enjoy the farm animals and gardens. In our barn is a Wood Fired Kitchen and Farm Store with farm fresh eggs and local farm products.
We are on the main road going into town. It is the ATV access trail that goes into downtown Greenville. Here at Moosehead, wilderness abounds. There are many trails to hike, beaches for swimming, places to picnic, boating and fishing. We are one mile to town for dining and shopping. Our place is very clean and just minutes to Moosehead Lake let us help you find the perfect setting to enjoy our wilderness.
  • Such a cozy setting. Dawn was an outstanding and responsive host and our only regret was that we missed out on being able to try those amazing ribs and pizza I've heard so much about! We really didn't want to leave.

  • What an amazing cabin with hosts that are second to none. We had everything we could ask for during our winter vacation in Greenville. Loved the wood stove, full kitchen, access to the outdoors and the generous tour of the working farm Dawn and Teddy gave our kids. Will definitely plan to stay here again and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

  • The only problem with our stay was not staying longer. We loved the cabin so much! The wood stove is A+ and the beds are so comfy. Even tho the cabin is close to the street and there’s cars coming and going when the take-out is open, it still feel very private! The ribs and wings were fantastic...a must try. The eggs, cream, and coffee are a wonderful touch, and Dawn could not be any more responsive! These personable hosts make it a wonderful getaway location. Highly recommended!

  • Dawn's has a beautiful, cozy cabin in a great location. Best pizza from the brick oven and the hospitality was outstanding

  • This cabin is a beautiful, clean and very well stocked log cabin. We had everything we needed and the hosts were welcoming, helpful and were quick to respond to any need. The check in was effortless, the hosts offered helpful tips for the area and the food at the Barn was amazing. Don't leave without trying the ribs! We were there for snowmobiling and it was great to walk in to a warm cabin with a wood stove. We will definitely go back!

  • Dawn’s home is so inviting & warm. They go above and beyond to make sure your stay is great! They have a lovely food spot next door with great brick oven pizza’s & wings! Can’t wait to visit again!

  • The cabin is comfortable, clean, well stocked and close to downtown Greenville. We had one small glitch (a light bulb needed replacement) and when we told the hostess she was there within 5 minutes to fix it. We tried the ribs and wings from their store located very close to the cabin and they were excellent and reasonably priced. Their farm fresh eggs are so superior to store bought. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for an enjoyable, peaceful vacation.

  • Dawn's cabin is a great, comfortable getaway to get around the Moosehead region, and just a short hour + drive to Canada. The place is clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you would need. Their take-out kitchen right next door is a wonderful and convenient addition to the stay. After a long day out exploring the area, just pop next door and order dinner. Thanks again! David

Living within nature. Moose Mountain Lodge is tucked away in the woods on a sunny lot with great views where wildlife sightings far exceed the occasional car that may pass by on the road. It is not uncommon to wake up to 5-10 deer in the back yard or a moose walking down the road. All this and the center of Greenville, the heart of the Moosehead Lake Region is just 5.5 miles down the road. See below for a complete description.
Moose Mountain Lodge is only 5.5 miles out of town (with sweeping views of Moosehead Lake along the way) but feels like it sits on 1,000 acres. No neighbors in site and daily visits from wildlife (usually deer) makes this a nature lover's dream. The inside of the cabin has a first floor master bedroom with a queen bed. Upstairs you will find another bedroom with a queen bed as well as two single beds in the loft. The couch folds out for additional guests. While there is a wood stove we are no longer permitting guests to use it. Full size appliances, washer and dryer, full bath, and a table that can sit 8 brings many comforts of home here to Greenville while still being in the most beautiful setting Mother Nature has to offer. All new bedding, pillows, towels, and beds in 2020. Both bedrooms will enjoy sunrise views over Prong Pond Mountain. It's not uncommon to wake up to 5 or 6 deer in the driveway or a moose walking down the road. A fire pit in the yard makes a great place to spend those summer and fall evenings with family and friends. Rainy days can be spent playing the variety of board and card games, doing a jigsaw puzzle, or enjoying Dish Network TV and Original Nintendo game console with 500 games. The center of Greenville is just 5.5 miles for shopping and dining. Direct Access to the trail system with snowmobiles is a snap. Big Squaw Mountain is a great inexpensive ski area and just 10 miles from the cabin. Beaver Cove Marina is 1.2 miles away and rents boats by the half day to the week. Come see what living among nature feels like. I promise you wont want to leave.
  • Enchanting lodge, tucked away in the woods. Close proximity to a great ski resort. If you’re looking for a place to get away from it all, this is it!

Truly in the wilderness at Maine Upland Guide Service, eight miles off the pavement in Maine's Upper Enchanted wilderness. Fly fish the lakes and ponds full of native brook and lake trout. ATV or snowmobile from the cabin to anywhere in the north woods. Feed the jays from your hand on the front porch. The property itself is 57 acres, but accesses thousands of acres of wilderness. Two bedrooms and a loft provide accommodations for up to 11, but are limited to 6. Welcome!
This off-grid cabin consists of two bedrooms (three full sized and three twin beds) and a loft upstairs. The loft contains two sofa beds and great views of the surrounding mountains. The first floor consists of the kitchen, living room front porch with ping pong table and bathroom. Full bathroom and running water. Electricity, but you will need to turn the generator on.
This is pristine wilderness. The cabin sits behind a private gated road with limited access to only those who have property in this region. Jackman Maine is 20 miles away and the close enough restaurants, a supermarket run, fuel etc.
  • If you are looking for an off-the-grid, private spot to get out in nature, this is the place! The views are spectacular and the cabin is equipped with everything you could need. The camp is very clean, the wood stove kept us cozy warm and the off-the-grid systems worked like a charm. Michael was quick to communicate, directions were thorough with exact milage for accuracy (I especially appreciated this) and they even left us a very Maine gift - pancakes and maple syrup. We ate them for breakfast the very first morning. Note that the roads are not paved and having an appropriate vehicle is a must. We loved our time there and have already talked about coming back next year. Thanks Michael!
