Places to stay in Harbor Springs
Welcome to our home. We built this house from the Ash trees in our woods, a timberframe creation inspired by a dream. We are excited about this new venture and look forward to meeting you. Our place is close to beaches, great biking, ski slopes and the lovely village of Harbor Springs with restaurants, art galleries and shops. We run it as a B&B and a full breakfast for two is included. Please let me know if you have diet restrictions.
Beautiful rustic room with a queen bed, 1 dresser, reading lights on home made bedstands. Comfy chair and small table. There is a private balcony overlooking the gardens and living roof perfect for relaxing with a glass of wine. The bathroom is private and just down the hall. Comfy robes are provided. We also have a 2nd bedroom with private bath for rent on the 3rd floor so there might be other guests while you are here.
Our house is next to a large forest with informal trails. Nearby are established hiking trails. I have built a large cottage style garden and grow vegetables as well. It is quiet and peaceful here. The hot tub under the stars on a crisp night is wonderful. I want to mention that we are 6 miles from the small village of Harbor Springs. There is a restaurant close by but does not keep regular hours. We also want to emphasize the terrific water from our well. Best in the country!
  • Maureen and Dale's B&B was fantastic. We had a girls weekend in Northern Michigan. The location was perfect. The B&B is situated outside of Harbor Springs on a beautiful piece of property. Maureen was a great communicator. We stayed on the 2nd floor. The bed was incredibly comfortable. The room was bright and had two comfortable chairs for us hang out in. We had a bathroom to ourselves. Maureen and Dale are fabulous people and our morning chats were great. The food was wonderful and such a treat to not have to make our own breakfasts. I would highly recommend booking and I will for sure be back!

  • Beautiful house. Enjoyed a quiet weekend of retreat in this lovely home. Very charming. Maureen and Dale are great hosts.

  • Wonderful hosts and venue.

    Will2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen and her husband offered amazing hospitality and company. They communicated wonderfully leading up to our visit and were very accommodating. The bed was comfy and she has nice touches left in the room (water, fans, books...). We loved our stay and would love to come back here again.

  • A nice getaway for relaxing by the fire and reading, we especially loved the wooden look of the cabin/home. Have already recommended the place to friends! We would love to return someday!

    Cole2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place with wonderful hosts. The location is perfect to explore the area. We were talking about a return trip as we were driving home!

    Margie2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • Hey you! YES! YOU! This is it. This was the best experience from Airbnb I’ve had. From the fresh flowers, homemade breakfast and great company to the stories and hand built design of the home. Maureen and Dale make you feel at home and are true inspirations. Thank you for the great stay! Until next time.

Newly remodeled A Frame Cabin in the woods of Hidden Hamlet in Harbor Springs, Michigan. Located in the little neighborhood at the base of Nubs Nob Ski Resort, this is a peaceful and quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful trees. Currently we are renting this as an open bedroom loft with a queen bed. There is also a pull out sofa sleeper on the main floor, but you know the comfort level of those... Check us out on Instagram @potters_cottage
This space was just renovated by my husband and me this summer, we are still working out the kinks. It is a warm and cozy cabin with a NEW furnace, but there are little things here and there that we haven’t finished such as trim in bathrooms. There are also no bathroom mirrors yet. There is NO TV. NO WIFI. This is a quiet peaceful getaway cabin with very little ammenities. We are brand new to the rental game...please make helpful suggestions, but don't be too hard on us:) PET OWNERS!!!!! Please know that if my cleaning crew has to clean up copious amounts of pet hair, pet messes or anything related, I will be taking a portion of the security deposit. They charge me by the hour to deal with this sort of thing. Thanks:)
The Neighborhood is called Hidden Hamlet. It is at the base of Nubs Nob ski resort and across the street from Boyne Highlands Ski Resort. It is full of cute and funky little A-frames and ski chalets. There are a number of seasonal rentals and only a small percentage of year round residents. The streets are great for walking and exploring. When we are there in the summer, we like to hike the hills at the ski resort. We are about 3 miles from Lake Michigan, and you can access the lake at Petoskey State Park. Right outside Hidden Hamlet on Pleasantview Rd, there is a small gas station that is pretty well stocked with grab and go food such as breakfasts sandwiches, pizza and beer. They are only open til about 8 or 9 o'clock though. We are officially in Harbor Springs, but basically about halfway between downtown Harbor and downtown Petoskey- both of which contain adorable little waterfront recreation areas, shopping and fun places to eat. Both are about a 10-15 minute drive, maybe longer in peek season traffic. The closest (and most expensive) airport is Pellston. Traverse City Cherry Capital airport is about 1.5 hours away, and Grand Rapids airport is about 3 hours south. Things to do and places to go! Our chalet is basically sitting between the downtown areas of Harbor Springs and Petoskey. It’s about 15 minutes to either downtown, although geographically we are in Harbor Springs. Petoskey: Roast and Toast Coffee, great food and great prices. Breakfast and lunch. Sandwiches, salad soups! Noggin Room Cozy bar underneath The Perry Hotel Bar food, live music on fri and sat nights Beards Brewery Great beer, great view Johans Several locations which have different things but it’s mostly a bakery! D&W Grocery store Side Door Saloon Great bar food and fun! Olive burger is my favorite! Chandlers Nice restaurant great food and wine Downtown is fun for shopping and walking around. Lots more to do here in winter than Harbor, which is a little more of a ghost town in winter. Both are very fun in summer! Petoskey Brewery On the way into Petoskey. Good beer. Petoskey State Park Cross country ski trails, snowshoe etc. Harbor Springs: Pond Hill Farm Open year round. Fun activities, hiking trails, farm animals. Beer wine and great farm to table food. Teddy Griffins Roadhouse Fun cozy restaurant. Sort of pricey. Great fish. The New York Steak house. The Pier Fancy fun on water. Turkeys Pizza and casual food. Gurneys Deli sandwiches, cash only. And no tomatoes which is annoying but the sandwiches are great;)
  • Lani’s place is comfortable and cozy. It’s super close to Nubs Nob and not far from Boyne Highlands. Even during this transitional time of year (no snow and no leaves!), the views out of the two story windows on both ends are spectacular. I always think of A-frame type houses to be closed-in and dark. This place is nothing like that. It’s light and airy and makes you feel like you’re in the woods. The bed was comfortable, not like a typical hard bed you might find in other places. Having the 1/2 bath (behind a door) in the loft as well was a plus. We would definitely stay again!

    Shawn2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • This was our third stay at Lani's and hope to be back soon.

    Constance2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Lani's cabin is a perfect getaway for a weekend up north. We came up to ski & Nubs Nob and the cabin was perfect for our stay. Super close to the ski hill (close enough that we went back to the cabin for lunch and headed back to the hill for the afternoon) Kitchen was well stocked for cooking & there were fun games to play to pass the time. We would definitely come back again!

    Natalia2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, house and host. Would definitely repeat the experience.

    Amie2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Lani's chalet is just what the doctor ordered if you want to "disconnect".

    Constance2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Our trip was in mid February and Lani offers an amazing space with a great atmosphere! Everything was so clean, comfortable and cozy. Minuets from many attractions, and lots of places to travel and explore. We will definitely return and see what spring and summer has to offer!

    Daria2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cute cabin is the PERFECT little getaway my boyfriend & I needed. It is so close to nubs nob and only minutes away from Petoskey. The pictures of the cabin don’t do it justice. I have only raved about this place to family and friends! Will be back next year.

    Kayla2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • We love this place so much. If you stay here, please take good care of it, so we can all keep coming back

(NOTE: Currently Closed. Be Well, Be Safe.) We plan to reopen Memorial Day weekend. We are located in a rustic area of northwest Michigan between Harbor Springs and Mackinaw City, within 2 miles of the Tunnel of Trees, & conveniently located for nature preserves, state parks, & hiking trails. Our home is attached to the guest suite but guests access the apartment via a secured private entrance. Our equipped kitchen has a pantry, plus fresh farm eggs, butter, cream, ground coffee, and teas.
During all seasons, guests are welcome to use our walking trails. In the Winter months, some trails may be open for snowshoeing and/or cross country skiing. (Please inquire if interested.) During summer months, yard space and a grill is available for grilling outdoors, with picnic bench.
Our property is in a rural setting, about 17 miles north of the town of Harbor Springs. Many local activities and businesses are seasonal in nature, with Harbor Springs, Petoskey, and Mackinaw City all within reasonable driving. The town of Cross Village is two miles away, with churches, two restaurants, and gift shops, primarily open for late Spring through early Autumn. The Three Pines Art studio and shop are open year round. Beautiful beaches are just minutes away. Nature preserves abound and are open year round. An International Dark Sky Park and Wilderness State Park are about 20 minutes away, along with Sturgeon Bay, and a favorite place for swimming, beach walking, and dune hiking. The annual Bliss Fest (music festival) in mid July is just two miles away.
  • Beautiful spacious space. Nice touches with fresh eggs (delicious) and the pecan bread. The bed was very comfortable and the place was very clean and well decorated which I appreciate. Good kitchen items if you want to do some cooking.

    Mary2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • So beautiful place! When I came into the room. It felt so happy about this cozy and lovely place. Very clean and impressed the detail care(e.g. welcome homemade carrot cake; awesome taste, super sofe towel etc). One wish is about Wifi. It's very weak. But I really enjoyed it and want to come again :)

    Miri2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • John's place was sparking clean and definitely exceeded our expectations! The location was spot on and my significant other and I were able to take the lovely tunnel of trees back and forth to harbor springs and Petoskey. The dive was thoroughly plowed and the hosts did great work keeping it clear. Will definitely be staying here our next trip up to this area.

    Hannah2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Awesome spot to stay while you enjoy the area. Perfect place to rest and sleep after a long day at the slopes.

    Timothy2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely stay! John and his wife were very hospitable (they made banana bread!), provided thoughtful recommendations with where to visit, and have a wonderfully clean space. A perfect place to relax!

    Karlie2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • This was a wonderful trip, and John was incredibly inviting and communicated well...the amenities were thoughtful and very accommodating. I’m definitely going back here next time I have an extended trip to the slopes!

    Hans2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for a perfect place to unplug and get off the grid, this is it! John and Mary’s “FROG” apartment is a cozy spot for all seasons. Quietly nestled 20-30 minutes away from Harbor and Nub’s, we had total privacy and zero interruptions from the outside world. We were welcomed by beautiful views of the surrounding woods and beach, and lots of local tips from John about what to do up north. He and Mary are excellent hosts and made us feel right at home. The apartment is well-insulated against the cold, and charmingly designed in a farmhouse/cabin style. Comfortable bed, plenty of space, well appointed cupboards and delicious freshwater right from the tap! Bring your books, puzzles, downloaded music, and preferably four-wheel drive, because this place is perfect for a low-tech getaway. No need for strong wifi/phone service/TV, when you have the great outdoors right outside your window. We would love the opportunity to come back again soon, and enjoyed every moment of our stay here. Thanks for everything!

    Carol2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful place out in the northern Michigan countryside! The surrounding environment is lovely, the woodwork and artwork are exceptional, the kitchen is well appointed and the bed is very comfortable. John was friendly, helpful and provided us with great tips for enjoying the surrounding nature conservancy areas. Our hike to the Lake Michigan shoreline through the Woodlam Preserve was gorgeous during this winter solstice. The trail was a close ride away. We were delighted with our stay and loved the special details. The space was supremely clean which is always appreciated!! They provided lovely touches like fresh eggs, butter, and cream in the frig and homemade banana bread and coffee. We enjoyed talking with John and sharing experiences.

The guest cottage is a stand-alone structure on the edge of our one acre property. One room with King Bed and attached bath. Small but just right for one-two travelers who need a quiet place to sleep. The original bead board walls create a cozy atmosphere to relax. Located 1.5 miles from downtown Harbor Springs, we are a perfect location for bicyclists, runners, and winter sports enthusiasts. Petoskey is a 20 minute drive. Mackinac Island is a 40 minute drive and then a quick ferry.
Our guest cottage is a good option for affordable lodging. No kitchen or sitting area--just a bed and bath for a simple overnight solution. Small frig in cottage. Nice quiet acre to relax.
Close to town--a five minute bike ride gets you to the middle of quaint Harbor Springs. No close neighbors.
  • Great location. Close to downtown and tunnel of trees. Hosts were super friendly and accommodating.

    Jimmy2019-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great little cottage near downtown Harbor Springs area. Place was very nice and clean, such a great option if just looking for a place to put your things and rest if wanting to explore the area.

  • Great location and is exactly as described. The hosts were extremely friendly and responded quickly to any questions.

  • Liz's place is cute and in a quiet area. We enjoyed being able to come and go as we pleased and have a cozy place to relax in. The bed wasn't super comfy (but this depends on your mattress taste, of course), but her linens were clean and I felt very comfortable! All in all, its a great place to away for two to get away from the hustle and bustle and unwind with some wonderful views!

    Allison2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was nice and affordable, clean and perfect for 2 people. The surroundings were quiet and beautiful. The location is right near Harbor Springs and the Tunnel of Trees, so great for sight seeing.

    Denise2018-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Liz’s place was very quaint and cozy and had everything you could need for a quick weekend get away. Everything was very clean. A good place if you need a place to sleep. There was no AC but because of the time of year we were there, that was not a problem at all. We would definitely come back here!

    Lisa2018-09-16T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful cozy place to stay whilst enjoying the beauty of the Harbor Springs area! Shawn’s air b&b is the perfect place to relax when your up north. We’ll be recommending this place to everyone we know 😊

    Jameson2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a nice place. The location was beautiful. We stayed there through a two day snowstorm and stayed warm by the fireplace despite mother nature knocking the power out. The owners live close so they are very responsive and even proactive to our needs. Very convenient for skiers, airport, Cross Village and Harbor Springs. The Crow’s Nest “perch on the porch” is too close and too good to pass up.

    Joe2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • If you are looking at this place just go ahead and book it! Be sure to take the host up on the barn tour as well.

    Nick2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This was our second time staying at the school house and it won't be our last we love it!

    Renae2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Best air bnb we have been to and loved that it was dog friendly! With the cold and rainy weather we took advantage of the fireplace but also enjoyed a quick hike across the street! We will definitely plan to come again!

This quaint Little House is perfectly centered in between Mackinaw City and Harbor Springs, in the country, perfect for a get away. It has two sleeping areas, one bedroom and a loft.
The Little House has a fully functional kitchen and bathroom including cast iron claw-foot tub. Washer and Dryer available in the house as well. The Little House is in front of a very quiet salvage yard, which is slowly being transformed into a Junkyard Gallery.
Neighborhood is very quiet with minimal traffic. Sturgeon Bay Beach (Lake Michigan) is just 4.7 miles away and our local Store is 2.4 miles The Bliss Polo runs every summer and is located across from the Bliss Store. Very cool to watch the horses! (URL HIDDEN) Every Saturday morning during the summer months, a Farmer's Market is located near the Bliss Store and by the Bliss Fire Department to buy fresh produce, honey, and much more from the local community.
  • I surprised my parents who used to research in Pellston, MI for quick weekend trip before weather gets too cold. Phil's place was exactly what we needed from busy city life. It is very quiet and peaceful. Little House has everything you need and more. If you have a dog, Phil's dogs are very friendly to human and fur babies. Thank you for having us.

    Sara2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Little House was a great stop for us on our fall color tour through northern Michigan! Easy check-in, the house was clean, and the view was perfect. I loved learning a bit of the history of the house and Phil and his dogs were so friendly! Thanks for the roof over our head!

    Anne2019-10-19T00:00:00Z
  • This little house - while not large - is not a "tiny" home. You will enjoy a spacious living room, kitchen, and bathroom. The bedroom is small - but very comfortable. We didn't use the loft space - but it was clean - and I imagine it has been a favorite of kids old enough to safely access it. The vintage "junk" cars parked in a semi-circle made this property especially unique, always a selling point to me when considering which rental to book. The view across the road was lovely with fall foliage at near peak color. A peaceful, welcoming place to stay and enjoy.

    Alice2019-10-18T00:00:00Z
  • Great place!

    Sherry2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cute house that is full of charm. Clean and private. One of the dogs on the property, Archie greeted us and played well with our dogs. They had everything we needed.

    Nicole2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Phil’s place! The house was a close drive from Cross Village. The space was clean and just as described. I really appreciated the attention to detail and all the amenities, like the games and movies, but especially the farm fresh eggs they left for us in the morning. We would definitely go back!

    Louise2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • Very quiet. You are out in the country so star gazing was perfect from the house. Only a few minutes from the dark sky park and 15 minutes from Lake Michigan. Very clean which is important to us. A lot of character in the surroundings! Phil was availible but kept our privacy.

  • Pure Bliss is a great campsite nook to get away, her personal touches including solar powered lights and a CLEAN port a potty are above and beyond for a field campsite. Picnic table and fire pit included also.

  • Great rustic campground! We battled through wind, rain and hail setting our hammocks up and starting a fire and still managed to have a good time. Wish we could have stayed longer!

    Kristen2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Bliss Camp. It was so peaceful. The camp site was super clean and had plenty of solar lights to light up the paths to the portapotty and trash cans. All though the weather was cloudy and rainy we were prepared and loved every bit of our stay. We will definitely be back.

  • Very tidy setup, Porta potty like brand new. Incredible location for base camp in this area of Michigan, gorgeous and quiet. Open sky and morning shade! Stay here for better camping than the state park. I arrived late at night and didn’t have difficulty finding it- great directions from host. Thanks Steph!

    Britta2019-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! If you're into stars this is the spot. All you need to do is pitch a tent, start a fire, and make memories. Signage on the road was very helpful, probably one of the cleanest Porta John's I've ever seen (including LED's lightning the way). This was our first family camping trip and we'll be back for sure.

    Aaron2019-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • The campsite was excellent! Clean, nice picnic table and fire pit and beautiful hiking. The view of the stars was better or just as good as the Headland dark sky park - Headland has a concrete bleacher style seating area but you can’t see the stairs or the people, and some stairs were uneven (you need a red flashlight) and also alot of people were talking. I liked laying on the picnic table in silence at the campsite. There are solar lights around the campsite and especially around the port-a- potty. I highly recommend this campsite!!

    Kathryn2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot that is easy to find. Weather did us in for the view of the stars. We will be back to try again!

  • Had a wonderful time being hosted by Malcolm! Yes, the house was cold being late October, but we were well warned and prepared for it, plus they had heated blankets on the bed that they will turn on for you if you come in later in the evening! Amazing location, we rode their bikes into downtown Harbor Springs and it was a lovely, beautiful ride. Breakfast was delicious, he started a fire for us as we chatted and ate and drank coffee. I highly recommend - if you come in the colder months just be prepared and it won't disappoint!

  • Our second time at Malcom and Jamila's wonderful home and as always the best hospitality. We will definitely stay again if visiting the area.

  • Wonderful classic house on the lakeshore. Malcolm makes great French toast. Also enjoyed the large fruit bowl served at breakfast.

    Leonard2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm could not have been a more gracious and knowledgeable host. This is really more like a BandB experience with fantastic breakfasts. Let him show you the history inherent in the house. Heed the advice about the type of traveler that this place works well for and you will have a wonderful time.

    John2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Malcolm’s home was a great place to stay. The room was very clean and cozy. Great views of the lake and very close to town. They let us borrow some bikes to stroll into town which was a lot of fun. Petoskey is very close as well. We were served delicious fruit salad and waffles for breakfast. Overall great stay and would recommend to others.

    Rachel2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This is such great place! Malcolm and his wife Jamela were fantastic hosts. You really can hear everything on the second floor where the bedrooms are. It says that in the description and I appreciate the honesty. It didn't bug us but if you have a hard time sleeping you might want ear plugs. The charm of the house and area is fantastic. I would have loved to stay longer!

  • Great place to stay and it’s right in the Tunnel of Trees.

    Carrie2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was very clean and tucked into a beautiful wooded setting. It was beautifully decorated and we appreciated all the amenities. The Good Hart general store was a short distance away and had a surprising variety of merchandise and food. We would certainly return to this cabin and hope to do so in the future.

  • Had a great time in this tranquil place so close to so much of Northern Michigan's treasures. Gorgeous cabin in a gorgeous location. Awesome host as well!

    Matt2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is wonderful: comfortable, spacious, clean, & well equipped. Good Hart is wonderfully located along the M-119 Tunnel of Trees, amazing Lake Michigan views on hikes or bike rides, with two terrific (small & secluded) options for water access: one through the Good Hart association and one public access. The Good Hart General Store less than .5 miles up M-119 from the cabin is the perfect little store, with the usual "up north needs", plus outstanding pies & cookies, including pot pies, a little deli/short-order counter, and lots of t-shirts & souvenirs type stuff. We adored our stay at Genna's place!

    Rob2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to relax and enjoy the beauty of the Good Hart area. Great place for kids to relax in the hammock, run around crazy in the big yard, roast marshmallows, take adventures in the nearby woods, do jigsaw puzzles, and play board games. Just a short drive or medium walk to the Good Hart Store, Good Hart beaches, and close to Cross Village/Harbor Springs/Petoskey. Always a joy to spend our vacations up there.

  • This B&B is adorable. The property managers and other workers are very friendly. The rooms are cozy and comfortable with their own bathrooms and ours had a fireplace. They welcomed our puppy and she had a blast staying here with space for her to go outside when she wanted to. Overall, we would highly recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a unique place to stay in the area!

Spacious chalet just a short walk from Nubs Nob, which is one the Best skiing resorts In the Midwest! Perfect for a family ski trip or a summer getaway. 10 minutes to downtown Harbor Springs or Petoskey. This chalet is newly re-decorated with a "Chalet Chic" vibe, has a great layout, and an updated kitchen and bathrooms. The exterior has just been updated with a new roof, paint & lighting (as of October 2019).
The house is nicely tucked into the trees, set off the road a nice distance. An amazing fire pit right out front, for roasting marshmallows, or just snuggling up by with a glass of wine. The living/dining area is spacious, great for family time. For such a small square foot house, it feels very spacious in the living/dining room. The wood stove burning when the snow is falling is magical. It’s the coziest place you could imagine!!!
The neighborhood is right next to Nubs Nob. Walk to Nub’s for skiing in the winter, or hiking in the summer. Very family friendly area! The walk to Nubs is roughly 4-5 blocks distance. The neighborhood is great for kids to ride their bikes around.
  • Close to both Nubs and Boyne Highlands. Very comfortable and well appointed A frame house.

Charming, year around cottage. Nothing beats being in the middle of our pristine lake or sitting on the deck watching nature in all her glory! And when you're ready for something a little bigger, Lake Michigan is a short drive; along with world famous Legs Inn (closes mid Oct) as are the "big" cities of Petoskey, Harbor Springs, and Mackinaw City! Walking distance to Moosejaw restaurant when you don't want to go anywhere! Incredible fall color change. Be prepared to not want to leave!
Cozy cottage feet from pristine Larks Lake. Comfy seating indoors after a days adventure on the trails, slopes or beautiful communities such as Petoskey.
This is a quiet, friendly northern lake community. On a busy 4th of July weekend we have counted as many as 7 or 8 boats at one time! Usually just a pontoon now and then or a kayak or paddle boat. Nice to have a well loved watering hole within walking distance when you just don't want to fire up the grill.

  • Rented this cabin for a weekend with my sisters. The cabin was very cute and comfortable. Lots of cute touches that made you feel at home. Location was perfect for the tunnel of trees. We took a short ride to Wilderness State Park and went on a hike. Ate dinner at Leggs Inn. The lake is beautiful with a nice sandy shore. It was to cold to use the kayaks or paddle boat but will definitely come back with my husband and kids next summer.

  • This is a quaint cottage on a beautiful lake in a beautiful area. What might be a downside for some is that you won't have cell phone service. But what you will have is peace, tranquility, natural beauty, the sounds of owls, coyotes, geese, herons, and more. It is a great up north getaway!

    Lynne2019-09-27T00:00:00Z

They offered breakfast in the morning and had information of surrounding things to do, places to eat. Easy to find and relaxing to stay in. Not your average place, definitely took the pressure/stress off like you’d normally experience at a hotel. It felt like being at home. I would 100% recommend!

Things we love about the surrounding area: boating on Crooked Lake and navigating the Inland Waterway through the Chain-of-Lakes; hiking nearby nature trails and biking to Mackinaw City or to Petoskey on the paved Wheelway; golfing on one of Northern Michigan's pristine courses; snow skiing, snowmobiling, or ice fishing in the winter; dining and shopping in Harbor Springs and Petoskey's Gaslight District; scenic drives through the Tunnel of Trees or touring local wineries and craft breweries.
  • This place is awesome! There is a king bed that sleeps very comfortable! The twin bed is in the same room. The bedding is nice and clean! The views are amazing and it’s just a 5 star for the price! Clean and comfortable and location of it is perfect for seeing beautiful northern Little Traverse bay and Crooked lake! Great fishing and boating lake. I recommend staying here as we have booked for a summer trip! Good coffee pot and all you need for cooking as far as plates and utensils! Washer and dryer and puzzles and books and just a great place! Best is a dishwasher because us women want to be doing something else besides dishes! 😂🤣👍🏼💞

Admit there were lots of stairs, but we felt that the condo was clean and had homie feeling to it. Janine was very responsive to any questions or concerns you may have.

  • Harbor Springs in the Fall! Oh my gosh, the views from this lovely condominium, from the 3 unique patios, were breathtaking! First of all, the host communication is just the best. We felt a real warm welcome from the get go. The home is smartly laid out. The first floor is perfect for a laid back evening with friends/family or a quiet night watching a move. The loft area is so comfortable with a firm King bed, soft bed linens, a nicely appointed closet and a dual-shower head shower. All furniture and furnishings in this home are top notch. You can tell that they care about providing a quality experience to their guests. We loved the location which featured FREE parking. The vibe around the community is very friendly. I can go on, and, believe me, I do, but suffice it to say that you will love this location for your stay.

"Tiny home" in the heart of downtown Petoskey. Tucked away in a quiet enclave, just one block off of our historic main street, this little cottage is waiting to enchant you. Small and cozy with a gas burning fireplace, this home is just steps from gourmet restaurants, laid back beer gardens, cozy pubs, quaint coffee shops, and fabulous shopping. Petoskey is known for its picturesque sunsets and unbeatable outdoor year-round recreation. We love living here and would love to be your hosts!
Please note that this house is near offices and other apartments. Please be respectful with regards to noise etc. Parking for one car is in the driveway in front of the house.
My husband and I both grew up in Petoskey and returned over a decade ago to raise our children here. We love the town, outdoor recreation and beauty of the area. We would be happy to recommend trails, restaurants and favorite outings!
  • My wife and I had never stayed in a Tiny House and the location is within walking distance of beautiful downtown Petoskey. So we took a chance - excellent experience! The house is well designed and well implemented. The modern bathroom was a very clean. We had to learn to open the couch into the bed - but we both slept well. The gas fireplace is charming and heats the room to the point that we had to turn the heat down on a cold winter evening. The coffee maker included several capsules that help start our mornings. The Tiny House includes parking - which is a nice bonus.

Feel free to use the large kitchen for your meals and the outdoor deck or screened porch. Ideal location for all that northern Michigan has to offer. If you need an additional bedroom, see the second bedroom at Airbnb listing #37283594 and check for availability.
The bedroom is cozy and quiet. Your three-quarter bathroom is right next door for privacy.
The neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful.
  • An excellent spot if you're looking for somewhere extremely close to Boybe Highlands, or if you just want to explore the area. Clean, friendly, and very welcoming. Will definitely stay again

    Joe2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay was perfect! The home was very warm and inviting, and there were plenty of notes around the house to help you navigate and understand how to work everything. You can see Boyne mountain from the road to get to this Airbnb. The location was literally perfect for any skiing or snowboarding vacation. We were less than 5 minutes away from Nub's knob and boyne. Without a doubt, we will be staying here again!

    Justin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • I came up to ski and snowboard at Nub’s Nob. Cathy’s home was the perfect location for access to the ski area, along with close proximity to Harbor Springs and Petoskey. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable. I loved the location and would definitely come back.

  • Cat was a fabulous Hostess we had a great weekend!

    Julie2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cathy's home is lovely, surrounded by trees, but not too secluded. I felt comfortable coming and going as I pleased, but they were equally willing for me to hang out and read a book or chat if I wanted to. Very nice people! The pets added to the atmosphere. The bedroom (and bathroom) were in their own little hallway, so it felt like I had a separate, private space. There were plenty of things to do within a short drive from the house: state park, historic towns, shopping, golf courses, restaurants, etc. A very good experience, I hope to return next year!

    Elizabeth2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. Beautiful home and friendly host. We were able to use the kitchen which is a plus for us. We had coffee and coissants waiting for us each morning and a comfy bed at night. Will be staying here again.

  • You will the love sitting on the porch listening to the sounds of nature. We had a cute doe eat some breakfast (weeds) in the backyard one morning. Love wildlife! The amenities are everything and more. Nothing like having your laundry taken care of packing up to go home. The beach was our personal favorite. Even though we live by lake michigan, it is always special to visit the beautiful water’s edge in other locations. It was a private beach and it is definitely what everyone needs to experience in their life.

Kerri was quick to respond to any questions I had. The only thing I would change, would be the fact that I had to come back home! I would absolutely stay here again and recommend Kerri as a host.

  • Had a great trip to Harbor Springs with a group of friends for skiing at Nub’s Nob and Boyne Highlands. Guy’s place was a very quick and easy trip to both spots. Loved being able to relax in the hot tub afterwards. The table games in the basement are a nice touch and kept us entertained as well. You can’t beat Guy’s place for value and proximity to the ski hills!

All the beds were comfortable, and the host had extra sheets and pillows if needed. Nothing beats coming back from the slopes to relax in the hot tub and finish off the day with any of the amazing games in the basement.

  • Guys house is a great place to stay for a winter ski weekend. The basement game room and hot tub are the perfect activities for when you're not skiing!

  • Guy’s place will not disappoint. We made a last minute plan to get away for our anniversary to look at the fall foliage up north. The weather was perfect to enjoy the hot tub and the wine on the patio. We even had fun playing air hockey reminding us of our dating days! The house is perfect for families or couples. It is in a subdivision but feels quite private with wooded area and creek behind the house. Close to town too. Communication with Guy was great. I would highly recommend staying here, I know we will again!

  • Such a warm feeling, clean and intriguing home only to be out-shone by the lovely hosts

    Mitchell2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This B&B exceeded our expectations and has set a high bar for future stays in other places and locations. My husband and I spend two cozy nights here during upper Michigan's winter. The grounds were beautiful in their blanket of snow and the stars were amazing. The house is very unique, warm and cozy. We both slept very well in the comfortable bed on the third floor. Our hosts, Maureen and Dale, were very friendly and felt like old friends after just two days. Iris, their Australian Shepherd, was an added bonus and one of the most well behaved dogs I have ever met. My husband is not a dog person but he even commented on Iris' demeanor. If i hadn't seen the dog I wouldn't have even noticed she was there. The house truly is "sparkling" clean with many nice touches. I enjoyed watching the birds while eating our delicious homemade breakfast each morning. This is a very special and welcoming home and I highly recommend booking if you have the opportunity.

  • We had a wonderful time At Maureen and Dale's home. Our room was amazing, we had a great view of the woods as well as the sunset. Watching the snow fall while sitting near the wood stove was one of my favorite things. Maureen's breakfast was delicious and I now know that orange juice in pancakes is the way to go! We had wonderful conversations and shared a bottle of wine together. Iris was sweet and she is a great host as well! our experience was very eye opening for us and we feel like our 30th Birthdays were well spent! We can't wait to visit again!

    Liz2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen and Dale’s BnB was amazing and I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a great stay with very personable hosts, close to downtown and the lake. The third floor room was perfect for my boyfriend and I. The amenities were outstanding. The room, bathroom, and whole house was very clean and we felt right at home. This stay had the charm of a bed and breakfast (breakfast and friendly hosts with great recommendations) which you rarely find on Air BnB.

    Alexa2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • What a great space, very homey! Maureen gave us great tips on where to cross country ski. The breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed getting to know our hosts and a friendly Euchre game! Will definitely go back!

    Amy2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen and Dale have a true passion for hospitality and creating a wonderful space, and it shows in every detail of this B&B. They are such kind and talented people! This home is clean, set on a beautifully scenic piece of property and the charm is fantastic. Walking through the door we instantly felt comfortable and welcome. Each morning was refreshing as Maureen makes a phenomenal breakfast and we enjoyed a cup of coffee next to the toasty fire. I had high expectations coming to this B&B based on the description and previous reviews but my expectations were still surpassed. This is hands down a phenomenal experience which my fiancé and I would highly recommend!!!

    Chadwick2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Maureen, Dan & Iris (their Pawsome dog ) are just outstanding hosts . The AirBnb is a little treasure in the middle of the wood. If you are looking for relax peace and good vibe ... this is the place you want to go ! Breakfast is delicious, the rooms are all very well furnished and you'll find everything you need there. And if you want some activities you'll find everything pretty close. I recommend it and I will for sure come back to visit them! Thank you again Maureen & Dan !!

Our ancestors homesteaded in Northern Michigan in the 1880s. We love the area - the large tracts of land still farmed, the numerous hiking trails through hardwood forests, the biking trails, the sandy beaches along Lake Michigan, the smell of the crisp air from the Lake, the clear night skies, and the slower pace of life. Some of our favorites: Beaches Zorn Park – downtown Harbor Springs. Life guards, playground, and rafts. Zoll Street Beach – downtown Harbor Springs – Launch for kayak or paddle board. Dogs are welcome Petoskey State Park – Half way between Harbor Springs and Petoskey - Swimming, sand dunes, picnic tables, rock hunting along the shoreline. Thorne Swift Nature Preserve – Remote beach on 30 acre preserve. Hiking trails and swimming Wilderness State Park – 903 Wilderness Park Dr., Carp Lake, MI 49718 – Hiking trails and swimming Paddle board, Kayak, and bike rentals The Outfitter – Main Street, Harbor Springs Hiking Little Traverse Conservancy has a plethora of hiking trails in the area. • Great location and amazing hospitality. Would definitely recommend.

    Karoline2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • James & Mindy’s place was very nice, everything we look for when searching air bnb places. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, hot showers with good pressure, and off course a great breakfast. Every morning James and Mindy made us a hot break fast off either eggs, toast, pancakes, sausage, and even pancakes. Wonderful stay and would stay with them again.

    Tim2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • This is more of a "traditional" bed and breakfast than the vast majority of airbnbs. Made to order breakfast in the morning, clean and comfortable room and excellent views. Excellent location for visiting the tunnel of trees and Leg's Inn. The house is in the middle of a winery and free wine tastings are included. All-around a great place to stay.

  • It’s not beach front. That’s my only complaint. From the pictures it looks like the house is on the beach. It’s across the street. Busy street. Loved our stay here. No WiFi sucked. This day and age you need WiFi.

    Brett2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay! The house was very clean and another couple was also there who was very nice to talk with. We stayed in the Monet room which had such a comfortable bed, and even though the bathroom isn’t attached to the bedroom it is just down the hall and very nice. If you check in after dark, just make sure to take your time down the road as it is not very lit so it was difficult at first to see where the place was.

    Samantha2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
