Come and stay on our Alpaca Farm in the heart of the Wirral. We live on a small holding, 10 minutes from beautiful beaches and coastline overlooking Liverpool and North Wales. We have alpacas, donkeys, chickens, cats and a dog. If you have carrots in your pockets, you’ll be very popular here! Our Paca Pod is a home from home with all the mod cons you need including a toilet, shower and kitchen
A perfect stay for one or two adults to relax and enjoy some time together
We are on the edge of Heswall, a lovely little town with lots of nice places to eat or drink. You can walk in to Heswall in under 10 minutes, or you can drive to lots of lovely country pubs just a few minutes away. We are located in the middle of the Wirral, so you can reach the beach in any direction in under 10 minutes by car. We are happy to point you in the direction, or recommend anything you’d like during your stay.
  • Had a lovely stay at “The Paca Pod”. Amazing little pod, has everything you need and great location. Also close to shops, pub etc. Loved staying on the farm, the animals are super friendly. Thanks again for our stay!

The accommodation was nice and warm dont feel put of if you think it's going to be cold we can assure you it's very warm, we stayed in march very cold out but in our little den was perfect. • Amazing place. So well located, stayed there to do Hilbre Island walk (why wouldn't you!).... what a treat! But such a nice location 15 mins walk into Heswall, lovely place! Will be back in the summer ;-)

    Tony2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The pacapod was a perfect couples getaway. We arrived in horrendous weather, but despite the wind and rain the pod soon warmed up and was lovely and cosy and completely dry. We were blessed with better weather the following days and got to meet the animals, the family are very knowledgable about the alpacas and donkeys and we had a great time. There are plenty of restaurants and a big tesco nearby for supplies, the pod did have basics in already. The farm is peaceful and the pod is well equipped and nicely decorated. Couldn’t recommend highly enough! We will definitely be returning.

    Toni2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • Julia & Zoe were fab hosts - attentive and welcoming. They offered great dinner suggestions and allowed us to help on the holding feeding the alpacas and donkeys. The pod itself is beautifully decorated, has everything you need to have a cosy stay including milk, butter, bread, cereals & tea and coffee. - a lovely touch. All in all a really lovely place to relax and we hope to return in the summer. Thanks so much.

    Shelley2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • A thoughtfully laid out log cabin complete with all the amenities you would need for a weekend retreat! We also appreciated getting to meet all the alpacas, chickens and donkeys. Would definitely return!

    Anthony2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Incredible space, everything you need is here. Super comfy and clean, lovely seeing the animals in the morning. Lovely location and the host were super helpful when needed. 100% would stay here again.

    Abbie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • The pod is really cute, comfortable and immaculately clean and the bed is so comfy! It looks out on to the alpaca field and in the morning the chickens come by to say hello. Lovely hosts, with excellent communication and very helpful. We only stayed 2 nights but I wish it was longer. The local pub, the Devon doorway does really delicious meals too and it’s just a few minutes walk away. The perfect escape from busy city life.

  • Thanks for a lovely stay. Lovely views, and we had great weather which made it a great peaceful break away from our busy lives! Comfy sofa bed - had a great sleep, loved the log burner and did not realise there was a fire pit also outside which we could have used! We brought board games, I liked the fairy lights and candles. Compost toilet wasn't an issue for just 2 nights. Great walks to Moel Famou and the surrounding area. We ate lunch at a countryside pub - GlasFryn - recommended by Jenny - great views and good food and service! We look forward to exploring more of wales now. :).

    Anjali2019-04-20T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely, cosy stay at the bothy. The bothy is very cute. Although near road, you couldn’t hear any noise at night, only the wind outside and the cracklings of the log burner and the view of the hills in the morning is glorious.Jenny was very attentive and friendly. Thanks for having us.

There was cows aswell. Such a beautiful place. Sitting on the decking in the morning in the sun was heaven. I highly recommend a stay here. Fabulous owners too very friendly and welcoming.

  • A brilliant find! The caravan is at the foot of Moel Famau and a perfect location for getting out and about. Chris and mike were perfect hosts, offering us extra towels (without us asking) and a late check out. They were on hand if we needed anything but also gave us plenty of space. Some lovely, thoughtful touches to welcome us. We’ll be back soon!

    Phoebe2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Two night stay as family with young children. Excellent location as lovely forest and countryside all around you. We were able to travel along a very picturesque road into betwyscoed in less than an hour. Directly over the road is a small park for the children and I can definitely recommend the nature trail which only takes around 45 mins to complete Caravan lovely and clean and hosts arranged fresh bread , milk and butter for us which was a nice touch. The children lovely all the games that are inside the caravan. Thank you for a lovely stay. Steve / Debbie & family.

Please note this property is separate from the house with access independently - may be suitable alternative to a hotel. Converted loft above a detached garage. Studio space, with en-suite bathroom. Located in a pretty village, with a variety of pubs and close to city and countryside.
The space is small, but everything is included; a bedroom and lounge area, with table for 2 and kitchen utensils. There is a kettle, toaster, mini fridge and new microwave/grill. Please note that the ceiling is sloped and the shower is located in the sloped roof area, so has limited headroom for taller people.
The location is 5 minutes walk from the centre of Hawarden village. This is a historic village with castle grounds and central street with picturesque buildings. Four good pubs which also serve food are within 10 minutes walk.
  • Great location and good value

    Jane2020-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Great little place for an overnight stay in a quiet location. Lots of little thoughtful touches from the host. The host was very helpful. The only negative was the wifi signal was non-existent most of the time and there was no mobile phone or 4G signal.

    Alison2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Claire’s place was exactly as described and as lovely as all of the previous reviews. Check in was super easy, and having private access was really nice. There were loads of thoughtful touches throughout including festive decorations. All in all, a lovely stay.

A cosy, quirky, quaint, clean and comfortable self-contained barn conversion on first floor and accessed via outside stone steps in courtyard of old farm buildings. Located five minutes from A55 and adjacent to Halkyn Mountain, an ideal touring base for exploring our local area and beyond, great pubs and restaurants, theatres, market towns, the beaches and castles of Wales Coast/Snowdonia or Chester/Liverpool. It is very small, but fully equipped with modern facilities with character features.

  • Such a gorgeous Air BnB! June and her husband welcomed us as soon as we arrived, showing us to the room and telling us about the amenities. June left us a lovely breakfast and was very helpful with her advice of how to get around the local area and to Chester. The room was spacious with a TV, small kitchen area, storage and bathroom. We would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to get away for a weekend to a lovely town (we recommend the farm shop cafe) or as a great place out of Chester for a quieter stay. We'll definitely be back as the hospitality was incredible, thank you June!

Superb Traditional Thatched Cottage style house in a quiet area of Heswall, but still just 5 minutes walk from the town center Plenty of good restaurants within easy walking distance. We are a short drive from Arrowe Park Hospital & Clatterbridge. The Wirral Way coastal walk passes through Heswall. Liverpool & Roman Chester are 20 mins away & Cheshire Oakes outlet is about 15 minutes. There is a rail and bus service close to hand and easy quick Taxi service Free on site Parking
Our house was built in 1938 by the AE Reynolds family of Liverpool (motorcycle manufacturers) All of the oak & pitchpine woodwork was hand made as were the large bowed glass front and rear windows. The house is thatched in the traditional style and is unique in the area. There are a rail and bus service close to hand The room has a modern TV, WiFi, Coffee and tea making facilities, a modern desk to work at and an extra heater.
The area the house is in consists of detached homes in a quiet area with many mature and various trees. At the same time, it is just a five-minute walk to the high street. Our small town has all the facilities you would expect including Post office, restaurants, takeaways, library bars and a good range of shops
  • Brice's home is definitely worth a visit. I've done quite a a few AirBnB's and this is my favourite. Brice is good company if that's what you want, very helpful on where to eat out, but otherwise he'll leave you to your own devices if that's what you want. Heswall is a 15 minute walk away & it has loads of restaurants. A nice area & very quite. Best sleep I've had in ages!

You have 100 acres of our farm land to roam and 2000 acres of common land right next door with open access. Dogs should be kept on a lead in most areas on the farm. please ask if you want somewhere for your dog to run free.
We are next to 2000 acres of common land where your free to roam the mountain paths alongside the local sheep. There are 3 public Houses within walking distance a village shop 1.5 miles away open till 10pm and 24hr shop within 2 miles
  • A wonderful stay at a beautiful location. The static home was bigger than we expected, the lounge/diner/kitchen was more than big enough for 2 adults and a child. Well equipped kitchen, and the lounge boasts a fantastic view from 2 comfortable armchairs. The main bedroom is a decent size with its own toilet and a walk in wardrobe area. The main bathroom is a good size with a great shower cabin. Although it is based on a working farm, it is barely noticeable and very tranquil. And Hayden went the extra mile, allowing us to watch lambing up close, and our granddaughter collecting fresh eggs from the chicken coup.

  • We really enjoyed our weekend break at Hayden’s cosy mobile home. Lovely and warm, fabulous shower and a great layout. We saw the new born lambs and bought eggs that couldn’t have been fresher. Hayden and his Father John were very friendly and helpful. We had a packed day in Liverpool, about half an hour away. Can really recommend the Ferry across the Mersey cruise and the Museum.

  • This is very great place to relax. Staying in the farm has brought us different enjoyment in holiday. My children love the place. Will come again. Perfect stay for rest

  • We had a fabulous holiday here - the caravan is in a great location on the farm, it's peaceful and there are great views across the Dee as well as being close to lots of interesting places to visit. The caravan itself is spacious and warm, it has comfy chairs and a sofa to relax in as well as good cooking facilities and a hot shower. Hayden is a friendly and helpful host.

  • Dale greeted me on arrival and showed me around . She is friendly and ensured I knew how to contact her if needed. The flat is ideal for a couple or lone traveller. It was perfect for me. The flat is modern and very comfortable. I was able to truely relax at the flat. Dale lives above the flat but it's very private and secure. I would highly recommend Dale as a host and her flat for a stay

    Jane2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • The flat annexe is cosy, stylish, comfortable, clean, quiet and the host has provided all the necessary things to make it a home away from home. Dale was particularly understanding about us having to travel a long way after a busy day, which delayed the check-in time. (highly appreciate it! ) .The weather didn’t help at all for exploring the surroundings but the place was warm and there was even Netflix available. Many thanks again for hosting us, Dale, we would gladly book again in the future!

    Cristina2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Great little annex. Small but has all that you’d need, kept lovely and clean. There is a cat in the main house which goes into the annex (I have a cat allergy and it flared up terribly). No problem if no cat allergy.

This small but perfectly formed cottage has a inglenook fireplace with a log burning stove, which we have married together with under floor heating throughout. This former miners cottage has all mod cons and is warm and comfortable. Well located for work or leisure it is close to Chester, Cheshire Oaks Outlet village and the beautiful countryside and coastline of North Wales. Suitable for singles, couples or small families.
  • Lovely cosy cottage, exactly what we needed for staying over the Christmas period. Lovely and warm with underfloor heating. Sandra was great to communicate with and left some nice Christmassy touches to welcome us (mince pies and crackers as well as Xmas tree and decs). Would definitely visit again.

  • Lily Cottage is lovely! Sparkling clean and beautifully furnished with everything you need and more provided. I would recommend this pretty cottage and host.

    Jude2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Now that I've stayed at this lovely cottage, I can see why other reviews rave about the underfloor heating....in winter it's amazing. I just loved this cottage and found the space to be perfectly cosy and amazingly relaxing with the roaring fire. Slept like a baby, as it's also quiet and dark, but if feeling lazy, you can watch telly in bed.

    Therese2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Hey Sandra, thank you so much for your speedy communication and perfect hospitality, our getaway was close to disaster and thanks to you and Lily Terrace it's been wonderful, tranquil, peaceful and relaxing - the beds were ideal (we all slept v heavy), the underfloor heating was a lush treat and your welcome folder was packed full of useful info (and funny too "I'm a firestarter" brilliant). We would love to come again one day! Thank you so much

    Scott2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is a homely cottage, very cosy and comfortable with lovely decor and a great log burner. The cottage is spotless, the kitchen contains everything you will need and the beds are really comfortable. In addition there is a collection of reading material, DVDs and games for adults and children, plus tourist information. On arrival Sandra had left a useful information pack and a thoughtful assortment of necessary food items. We would definitely stay here again.

  • Lily cottage is set on high sunny ground and is so cosy and inviting. You will appreciate peaceful nights and easy access to local shops etc yet it feels more remote. This is a newly refurbished cottage, which was originally a farm workers cottage, on a dairy farm. It’s quaint and very nicely finished. The log burner makes the sitting room very cosy. The cottage is attached to a stable block, and forms a u-shape of out-buildings, including our carpentry workshop. The main farmhouse is close by, but separate. We have large gardens, which guest are welcome to use, including a barbecue and pizza oven. Rural location, but close to lots of amenities.
The property is located in the middle of four fields, so feels quite rural. It’s cosy and nicely decorated and we’ve aimed to make it very comfortable for our guests. We’ve selected bedding with a high thread count and luxurious towels.
We have good walks from the cottage, including Wepre Park and Hawarden Park. We have 4 pubs within 20 minutes walk and a fine dining restaurant and gastro-pub within 45 minutes walk. www.theoldgrocery.co.uk (fine dining, 45 minutes walk, with cocktail bar on Friday & Saturday, in the little village next to us!) www.runningharepub.co.uk (family friendly, reasonable car very, 20 minutes walk). www.thegoodlifeexperience.co.uk (different twist on a festival with lots of different acts and activities 12 - 16 Sept 2019). Chester Zoo is absolutely excellent. We are a number or National Trust venues within an hours drive; Erddig, Chirk Castle, Durham Massey, Tatton Park.
  • What a lovely cottage! So clean, stylish and homely. We had a wonderful stay and Gillian was a great host. The welcome Prosecco and cake were a lovely touch. Highly recommended.

  • We loved staying at the cottage. The hospitality was excellent and the place was sparkling clean.

    Wayne2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is beautiful and very well equipped, from the beautiful decor, crockery and dishwasher to the log burner. The property is detached in the farm yard and secure for parking, and if you have a dog there are several paths leading from the gate through tracks and fields. Overall the cottage was perfect for us.

    Barbara2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gillian’s place is lovely, I’d very much recommend it. She is a kind and extremely helpful host and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again.

  • We had a fantastic short stay as a family of 4. The cottage is located off the road so it is peaceful and quiet but close enough to walk to a pub and to drive to all the local attractions. The extra touches and welcome gift were very much appreciated and the host went out of her way to offer advice or help if we needed it. The only thing we missed was a freezer compartment to freeze our ice packs for picnics, but the host froze them for our journey home. I would definitely recommend the cottage.

    Tracey2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • Extremely clean and very modern! Check in and out very easy. Loads of local tips in the flat for places to eat and walks. Lovely thoughtful touches including a box of toiletries in case you have forgotten anything. Set in a beautiful area ideal for rest and relaxation. Highly recommend.

  • The loft is a great, cosy place for a peaceful and restful break. Tracy really knows how to make you feel comfortable and welcome with lots of little touches, such as the welcome hospitality, the ‘just in case you have forgotten something’ box and all the useful info about walks, pubs and restaurants in the area. I would highly recommend the loft.

    Martin2020-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • It’s a cracking cottage and Brice made us feel right at home. Room is comfortable and cosy but spacious as well. There’s a nice place for breakfast just down the road (Stones Bistro) which we highly recommend. Enormous fri-up for a tenner. It’s also worth noting that all proceeds from this Airbnb go to Brice’s charity work in Africa which we thought was lovely. Perfect stay. Thanks Brice!

    Steven2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful old house, warm and clean, comfy bed; I liked it and would go back. Brice is a jewel - been everywhere on the planet, stories galore. Lots of restaurants and cafes about 5 minutes away. A half hour to the "Ferry, cross the Mercey", to Liverpool. It was raining, so I missed the cathedral. Next time. Liverpool has seven miles of docks that used to send a hundred ships a day filled with emigrants to the US.

  • Absolutely unbelievable both the stay and Liz. She sorted out a surprise birthday pack for my girlfriend which was definitely worth the money. When we met Liz, she told us about everything we’d need to know during the stay, there was leaflets on local activities. Everything needed was provided and we can’t fault the place, worth every penny and hope we’ll get to experience it again

    Mike2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely lovely couple of days, the pod is amazing, well equipped, clean, warm and cosy, a great space, with lovely views and a lovely hot tub to relax in. Great location, a really warm welcome from Liz too and great local recommendations.

  • What a little slice of heaven! Booked the Bumble pod for my husbands 30th. The pod was immaculate. The hot tube was ready on arrival and Liz welcomed us and showed us the controls. The pods are very private and it's easy to forget anyone else is near by. Absolutely will be returning

  • A lovely place to stay, hot tub was fantastic. If you want to leave the Pod & Hot tub there are loads of places to visit nearby. We were happy to stay and relax for our stay. Our decision now is when to visit again?

  • Liz is easily the best host I’ve come across. Went above and beyond to help with little touches for my partners birthday. Liz responds to messages very promptly and it’s clearly very passionate and attentive to looking after her pods. The bumblebee pod is a lovely and quaint accommodation and did us nicely for the weekend. Even in the winter it was lovely and warm.

  • A fabulous stay in a pretty part of Wales. Super easy to get to from the motorway. The pod was modern, clean, cosy and welcoming. Everything we needed was there, a little fridge, microwave and toaster. The constant unending access to our private not tub made it a trip to remember. Liz was so lovely and friendly when r arrived. We would definitely stay here again!

This beautiful barn conversion is ideally situated in the North Wales countryside, with views over the Clwydian Range but only 10 minutes drive to the sea, and handy for people working at Gwynt y Mor. Oak beams, log burner, bath, shower and a four poster king size bed offer additional comfort for an ideal romantic break. Large TV with range of DVD's and games available for those rainy days by the fire. Play station is also available. Nothing is too much trouble for your hosts. We aim to please.
The bedroom offers plenty of space to accomodate a baby in a travel cot which we can supply or you can bring your own camp bed for one child. There's an enclosed and very private garden. The cottage has oil central heating and a lot burner to keep you warm.
We are in the countryside enjoying beautiful views and a multitude of popular walking or cycling routes. However we are less than five mins from the A55 expressway which will take you to Conwy and Anglesey in one direction and Chester in the other. Ten mins to the sea or 30 to a lovely beach and Prestatyn. It really is the best of both worlds. We are also closely situated to the base for Gwynt y Mor windfarm making it convenient for windfarm workers who also want a bit of piece and quiet during their stay.
  • Gorgeous little hideaway in a really lovely, quiet location. The log burner fire made the place so cosy and the four poster bed was so comfortable. Location was great for trips out and the place had all the things you needed to cook meals in. It was such a well needed break

    Louise2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely stay here. Quiet location with beautiful rural views. The barn itself was spacious but cosy with lots of character. Would highly recommend.

  • Lovely relaxing accommodation. Lots of little nice touches, shampoo, shower gels ect. Home from home place to get away from it all, set in beautiful countryside. Really comfortable bed, which makes all the difference to a great night's sleep. Unfortunately storm Ciara arrived whilst we were there. But with a lovely log burner, dvds and games we were happy to stay in our comfortable surroundings and stay warm and safe. Great recommendation from Sue for a local pub the Crown Inn. Made us feel welcome and the food was amazing. We will definitely be returning again, for another getaway. Thanks to you both for a great stay.

    Jayne2020-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my Husband (and dog) stayed here over Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. When we arrived the instructions Sue had given were easy to follow. Once we got inside we realised it was just such a beautiful little cottage !! The pictures do not do it justice. It’s absolutely perfect for a couple and a dog as the cottage has a little enclosed garden to run around in & we had lots of room. The amenities were perfect. I recooked a hot pot I had made at home but we could have easily made a full roast with what was available. Sue made a great effort decorating the place for Christmas and even left us some chocolates, mince pies & shortbread. The bathroom was lovely too, nice sized bath & good shower. The bedroom has to be the best part. That bed!!! We just didn’t want to get out of it! The comfiest thing we have ever slept on. We had an absolutely lovely stay and we will definitely be back to stay again! Thank you Sue xx

    Lindsey2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely, warm and cosy but very spacious barn conversion, beautifully renovated, decorated and well-equipped. There were lots of little touches too that made us feel extra welcome, including breakfast crumpets and, as our stay was just before Christmas, there were mince pies and a tastefully decorated & lit tree too. Seemingly little things, like providing a tea towel, toilet rolls and a range of spare toiletries made a big difference too. As you enter, there's a vestibule where you can leave coats and boots. The bathroom is a great size and the shower is hot. There's one large living space comprising kitchen, lounge and dining areas; the kitchen has all mod cons and the lounge has a fantastic feature fireplace with a wood burner. There's also stained glass skylight to look up to too! The separate bedroom has lots of storage, and a very comfortable king size four-poster bed; coupled with the quiet countryside location, that makes for a very good night's sleep. There's a front patio door which we found handy for access when (un)loading the car, and a rear patio door which leads to a private seating and BBQ area, with a view of the field behind. The location is great for peace and quiet, but with easy access to Holywell and the surrounding areas, whether you want to access to town, coast or countryside. Sue is a wonderful host, making sure that we were happy and comfortable, and also pointed us in the right direction for a walk up Moel Famau for some unbeatable views of miles around. It was just what we needed for a relaxing couple of days away.

  • If Carlsberg did short breaks !!!... What a fantastic hidden little gem... Loved the open plan living space, comfortable bed, romantic log fire, spotlessly clean, very friendly hosts, nothing too much trouble... what more can you ask for ?... Will be returning for sure !!!

  • I stayed in The Roost as a solo Traveller. Straight away I felt at ease. The property is beautifully laid out and very well maintained. The surrounding area is full of natural beauty and the Old Mill Holiday Homes maintains that theme. It has a tranquil feel and relaxing, peaceful atmosphere. There is a surprisingly busy road beside the property but it does not impact on the peace of the homes. The room I stayed in was " room only" but had lots of thoughtful touches/extras. I've stayed in many B&B's and been frustrated with the tiny kettle that is awkward to fill and takes ages to boil. So full size kettle was much appreciated. The fridge enabled me to have cold drinks and store snacks which is a definite plus. There were plates and cutlery which is also a first for me. Liz has obviously used her own experiences to ensure her guests have as perfect as possible stay. I only met Liz briefly when she made sure all was ok but she sent messages and replied to mine very quickly. I also knew she was there if I needed her. There is lots to see and do locally within 15-20 minute drive. It's also easy to get to Chester, Liverpool, Rhyl and Conway. The whole of North Wales coast can be explored easily. I can recommend I walk up Moel Famau for the views alone. All in all I had a lovely stay at The Roost. I was busy but came away feeling refreshed. I can highly recommend the property and will hopefully be back

  • Enjoyed our week. Accommodation was great for a couple and the second bedroom and separate bathroom would be ideal for a family. Enjoyed local walks and visiting villages and pubs. Happily recommend it for anyone wanting access to N Wales. Traffic is noticeably sometimes but we quickly became accustomed to it.

    Chris2018-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at the Long Barn. It's in an absolutely beautiful setting and convenient too - Mold isn't far away and the A55 is a short drive which makes it easy to get to Conway, Llandudno and other attractions on the North Wales coast. We didn't spend much time in the immediate area but the countryside was lovely, and I'd imagine you could do some great walks. The barn itself is beautifully decorated and has all the modern amenities you would expect. We stayed as a family of four so the two bathrooms were handy. All the fixtures and fittings, bedding, linen etc were new and the barn was very clean throughout. The Old Mill has lovely gardens and a kids play area which was really appreciated by our five year old! The owner was extremely friendly and helpful both before and during our stay - she responded to questions very quickly and kindly prepared a highchair and cot for us, and she was extremely knowledgeable about the local area. We ate at the Dinorben Arms in nearby Bodfari on her recommendation and it was excellent. We had a great stay and would definitely stay at the Long Barn again!

    Tim2018-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • I can only say that the Long Barn cottage is amazing. So tastefully done up to a very high standard and set in what can only be described as idyllic countryside. Warm and cozy and so comfortable with many thoughtful touches to make it that extra bit special. Liz was always friendly and responsive to our every need. As Liz mentions in her website, it is close to a road and there is a small amount of traffic noise, but I can heart fully say that this is completely offset by the level of comfort and beauty of both the cottage and its setting in one of the areas of outstanding beauty in the Welsh countryside. Although the kitchen and dining areas are beautifully equipped, if you feel like a night off from cooking then the Cherry Pie Inn is right next door and offers wonderful food. I will definitely be going back and can highly recommend this as a place to stay.

  • Lovely, cozy cottage in a stunning location. Great walks nearby and Mold (with all the shops) is an easy drive away. The kitchen was well equipped and the extras left for us were hugely appreciated! Lots to do in the area and the hosts were lovely and super friendly.

  • Loved our stay! The place is even nicer than the photos. Jane included some extra touches that really made our stay over valentines weekend. Bottle of fizz, beers, fresh bread, cheese, ham, milk, butter, bottled water, apple juice. Fresh flowers. A rose and chocolates on the bed as a valentines treat. It really was lovely. Great selection of books for rainy (stormy) days . The bed is soooo comfy, and the shower is impossible to leave as it’s so good. We love this place and will be back in summer to make use of all the local walks and amazing views!
