  • Location is quiet with beautiful surroundings. Great place to stay!

  • Ray (and Pete)'s place is great. It was very roomy, stylish and clean. They were gracious hosts who really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable (including stocking the fridge and more). We are already thinking of reasons to go back and stay in the summer. A great value.

    Mark2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The space was very roomy, clean, and comfortable. Ray and Pete were wonderful hosts. The location was great too - quiet yet easily accessible.

  • I am a regular with Ray and Pete, and it is a wonderful place to stay. I cannot recommend it enough. They always go above and beyond in every category of hospitality, and they are also great guys to hang out and socialize with.

    Anna2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • We were repeat guests because we loved staying at Ray and Pete’s place for skiing at Sunapee so much! They’re so nice and accommodating - and the space is sparkling clean every time. Thank you again for a wonderful stay! :)

    Vanessa2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We returned for a second stay and will continue to book with Ray and Pete when we are in town! Thank you as always for such a warm and welcoming experience.

    Kristin2019-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Ray and Pete are the best hosts ever, boasting a beautiful, clean and comfortable apartment with easy access, a garage for our car, breakfast food, snacks, fruit, (and did I mention chocolate?). Ray was there to greet my sister and me on arrival, and gave us a thorough run-through of the apartment. As hosts, the communication was excellent and easy, and Ray was immediately responsive to any issues. The beds and luxury sheets were most comfortable; having 2 bathrooms for my sibs and me was perfect, and there were plenty of clean towels and other bathroom necessities. The kitchen/eating area was spacious and well lit, and the large living room very comfortable. And the foosball table was a kick! The location and views are spectacular, and being there in the fall amongst the gorgeous trees was a real treat for us Northwesterners. There are nearby hiking trails within walking distance of the house which we took advantage of. The drive to Hanover is 30 minutes and worth the time in the car just to admire the scenery. Definitely a 5 star airbnb with 5 star super hosts - our new friends! We'll be back in the spring for sure!!! Thanks for everything, Ray and Pete! Shelly, Patricia, John, Rob, Mom and Dad!!!!!

    Shelly2019-10-17T00:00:00Z
  • I am calling myself a "regular" now at Ray and Pete's place. It is truly outstanding and I look forward to my next visit!

  • This was the perfect place for me and my boyfriend for the night. Super cute, clean and had everything we needed. There was even a pint size blender for smoothies in the morning. Definitely recommend for one or two people!

  • Janet’s space is adorable and efficient! I stayed for a couple of days - she’s extremely quick to respond to questions, has put so much thought into the space...I truly felt at home and didn’t want to leave! Perfect for both short-term and long-term stays.

    Lois2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute place! Felt comfy in it the entire time!

    Fernanda2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as expected! Janet was very responsive.

    Elliot2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • Unfortunately, I had to cancel my reservation so I haven't seen Janet's place but did end up needing to communicate with her a lot and she's one of the nicest, most responsive hosts I've had the pleasure of "meeting" through AirBnB.

    Tracy2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent space for an even better price!

    Walter2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Janet’s place as an unplanned and last minute stay (my mother suffered from a heart attack and was at nearby DHMC-I live some distance away and needed to be closer to my momma). Janet was a thoughtful host who checked in to make sure I had everything I needed yet also gave me privacy and space. The space was quaint and welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. Although I essentially only used Janet’s place as a place to lay my weary head, I highly recommend.

In the morning, fuel your day with some fresh fruit and a muffin before you head on your way. Less than fifteen miles from Dartmouth College and DHMC and just a hop, skip and a jump to Interstate 89, you'll find rest and rejuvenation when you stay at Teach na Síochána.
To clarify, the kitchenette consists of access to a microwave, coffee maker, toaster oven, snacks, and seating for four. A continental breakfast will be offered in the morning. There is a mini fridge upstairs in the loft area.
We are walking distance to several markets, parks, beaches, walking and hiking trails. Driving distance to great ski areas, including our local favorite, Whaleback, The Little Mountain That Could, recently featured in a video on LL Bean's web site. Dartmouth College and DHMC as well as Interstate 89 are all less than 15 miles away.
  • The breakfast was above & beyond spectacular. Lisa & Tony provided a beautiful home, lovely conversation, and a truly exceptional breakfast. We will stay here 100% of the days that the ski resorts are not closed for coronavirus

    Emily2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying here and hope to be back in the future. The location is very convenient for exploring VT and NH. The hosts are fantastic and provided a delicious breakfast for us.

  • After researching many airbnb's in the area I chose Lisa's new listing. This turned out to be a great decision. Communication was good and she responded quickly. The living space in this suite was huge, clean and comfortable. Bigger and better than the pictures. They generously changed the breakfast offering to accommodate my son's dietary needs. If we ever return to the area again we will definitely book Lisa's place again.

In the heart of Sunapee Harbor is “Topside”, a charming suite for guests who want to engage in the active Sunapee life. Topside is perfect for 2 people and cozy for 4. An efficient use of space offers a queen sized bed, pull out love seat couch(fourth sleeping area is a single-sized air mattress), kitchenette stocked with snacks and basic cooking needs, private bathroom, Wi-Fi, Smart TV, board games, and your own tree-top deck. Very clean, stylish, and comfortable!
Topside is a CLEAN space - after each guest stay we thoroughly wash and sanitize all linens, towels and surfaces to protect our in-coming guests. Your health is important to us!! During your time at Topside, we provide an activities guide for some ideas of "what to do" in the region. In the summer, enjoy a 2 minute stroll to the harbor and taste from the award-winning seasonal restaurants, while sitting on the town patio watching boats come and go. Walk or drive the 1 mile to private Dewey Beach for swimming and all forms of small boating. Or, bring your own boat to launch right in the harbor and park your trailer in our convenient driveway! For hikers, trail runners, or bikers, over 100 miles of a trail network system starts right out our driveway. In the winter, a 10 minute drive brings you to one of the most guest-centered ski mountains in New England. The “We Are Sunapee” experience excels in offering ski and riding instruction at The Learning Center. There are trails for all levels of skiers or riders, with excellent ski lodge accommodations.
We bought our home in Sunapee Harbor in the fall of 2017, envisioning sharing our “Common Cottage” and grounds with family, friends, and guests. The house was built in the early 1900s as a ship captain’s home for one of the captains of the steamers which brought early vacationers from the southern end of the lake to Sunapee Harbor. We imagine the guests on those steamers setting foot on the harbor dock and breathing in the fresh clean air, hearing the lapping of the pristine water, and feeling the sun on their backs. We also imagine our house captain smiling at the joy his venture brought to harbor guests. Wanting to carry that heritage forward, the heart of Common Cottage is to provide a place for people to engage in meaningful experiences.
  • A fantastic Airbnb property! Lisa and Peter are terrific, thoughtful hosts. Check-in/out simple and communication was clear and timely. Spotlessly clean, stylish, every comfort and detail considered. Location to local ski/snowboard resorts can't be beat. Had a great overnight stay and would do so again without hesitation.

    Gary2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Topside is super clean, cozy and has all of the amenities you will need! Lisa supplied a lot of snacks and information for surrounding things to do and see. She replied quickly to any messages and made us feel at home! Highly recommend and will be staying there again in the near future!!

  • Perfect spot during my snowboarding trip. Incredibly clean and organized. Breakfast basics stocked in the fridge, comfortable setting, cozy comfortable apartment. Small touches like travel sized toiletries in case you forgot something and phone chargers. Wonderful Airbnb can’t wait to stay here again.

    Andrew2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • My son and I decided to stay here since we had an early morning arrival at Mount Sunapee for a ski race. The convenient location was what we were looking for, but we would definitely return for an even longer stay since it was a wonderful and comfortable place to stay. Lisa was great to communicate with, her check-in instructions and driving details made our arrival very simple, even at night. The studio apartment has everything you need, and the small kitchen was perfect for us to make a quick breakfast before leaving. We did not meet the hosts, but plenty of information is left for the guests to get to know the Sunapee area.

    Kristin2020-02-16T00:00:00Z

  • Anna is a wonderful host and very welcoming. She was easy to communicate with and the room was very comfortable and outfitted with everything I could have needed. The mattress is very comfortable. The location is close to the Dartmouth campus and Anna provided me with taxi information that was very convenient. I think the distance would have been walkable except for the roads and winter weather at this time of the year. I definitely hope to stay here again!

Great location- if you don’t feel like cooking the gas station/convenience store with essentials &dunkin at the corner few houses down, the wildwood Smokehouse (and covered bridge up the hill), and the harbor not too far off though some spots are closed for the winter. Kitchen is well equipped and cozy with the stove. Beds are comfy, bathroom spotless. I almost don’t want to write this review and have this place booked up for our next trip!

The Monet-Metcalf is an exposed-beam 1888 cottage, and is located on the 19th C. Cornish Art Colony estate of The Butternuts. We're nestled along the CT River in pastoral Cornish, NH, while only minutes from Dartmouth and a region rich in historic, artistic, natural and intellectual sites and events in both VT & NH. Cornish is the town that mesmerized Augustus Saint Gaudens, Maxfield Parrish, Willard Metcalf and J.D. Salinger—we think you'll understand why. Killington and Sunapee skiing nearby!
This 1888 cottage, built by our Great Aunt and Uncle, is on 36 acres on a bluff above the CT River. There is easy access to the BnB from Rte 12 A, which is just beyond the pines on the outer edge of the front lawn of the property. This cozy, 2-story space has two bedrooms tucked under the eaves on the second floor, and a living room, eat-in kitchen with full amenities, and the bathroom (large shower, no bathtub) on the first floor. For swimming, boating and fishing, there is direct CT River access provided by the town of Cornish, just south of our property. • Jo is an excellent host! She is very easy to communicate with and very acomidating. She even provided breakfast for my check in day, which was awesome as I worked the overnight at the hospital that previous night. She always made sure she didnt have any thing going on in the mornings when I came home from work. Its very nice to have a landloard that thinks of a quite environment for night nurses during the day. I also had to make some adjustments to my stay and she was acomidating to that as well! Jo is the best host I've ever had on air bnb. 10/10 would stay again!

  • Jo’s cottage was very pleasant. She was a great host, and we enjoyed our time there!

    Jonathan2018-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jo and Shawn are absolutely wonderful hosts!!! I had a tough time getting here my first night (3 tornadoes in CT) and Jo was so wonderful to wait up for me, leave me something to eat since I had been driving 12 hours, and greet me with a smile and a hug! The cottage is so cozy and the location is amazing!! I highly recommend staying here and seeing all this charming town has to offer!!!

    Jessica2018-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Jo was an excellent host- very accommodating and always made sure I had everything that I needed. She made a point to let me know that she was available whenever I needed something. She even helped me out with the dog who was sick while I was away at work. The apartment itself was quaint and very quiet. Jo was more than open to discussing ways to improve the stay for those in the future. The house is in the middle of the woods, so there are some gnats/mosquitoes which can be expected. Overall an excellent experience, and if I find myself in the area again, I would love to stay with Jo!

Private room for rent in Lebanon, NH. Dogs allowed with fenced in yard. 10 minute drive to Dartmouth-Hitchcock and walking distance to the Lebanon green. The room is recently renovated and fully furnished and includes a queen bed and a 40” TV with an Amazon Fire stick. Quiet, safe neighborhood. For coffee and breakfast I recommend The Little Store, a locally-owned deli just a few blocks away.

  • The cabin on the hill is a wonderful location for a get away. Charming, cozy and quiet. Julie was a great host! The place has thoughtful touches and great cabin style. We hope to return!

  • A great spot. Very clear directions. 5-10 min hike up to the cabin but you have it all to yourself. Wonderful space and great furnace. Romantic and fun!

    Jack2019-10-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wow, what a wonderful wonderful spot. Julie’s cabin is nestled on top of a hillside in bucolic Vermont just a short drive from Woodstock. The cabin had everything you need for a weekend of a glamping: outdoor stove, a little dishwashing station, an outhouse, a tiny cabin with a cozy woodstove, a fire pit, and plenty of views and hiking trails. We loved every minute and hope to be back soon!!

    Caroline2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what we wanted! The hike up the hill was a little bit of a hike. Sneakers are the best bet. Very private and peaceful. Thank you again!! !

    Michael2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was just lovely. Super private and the wood stove kept the place pretty toasty despite the fall chill setting in! Would love to come back again.

    Juliana2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This place was great for an off grid experience. The stove keeps the place perfectly warm on a cold evening and cooking and showering outdoors was such a novelty. Would recommend for a short stay !

    Jake2019-10-03T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in the woods! Fully equipped cabin, nothing need to bring appart food. He even had coffee and logs at our disposal! Good workout to get there, but very well indicated, little advice do not arrive in the dark!

    Amélie2019-09-22T00:00:00Z
  • Julie's cabin is fantastic! The location is very cool -- it feels like you're completed secluded and off-grid in the hills of Vermont. The cabin itself is perfectly rustic. Great for relaxing and taking in the great outdoors.

If an historic, 19th c. Cornish Art Colony cottage nestled in the woods is to your liking, the first floor Maxfield Parrish Suite in our 1766 cottage is for you! The Maxfield Parrish retains the rustic charm amid pastoral beauty that has drawn travelers, artists, intellectuals and writers to our region for over 200 years. Exposed beams, 1766 & 1888 detailing, French windows, and updated utilities combine in this cozy Victorian cottage, with skiing, historic sites & arts offerings all nearby.
This spacious suite of four rooms and a large porch combines authentic, cottage architecture from 1766 and 1888 with updated utilities. This is the large first floor of the 1766 building; there is a 2-room Artist's Loft BnB above it. There is easy access to the BnB from Rte 12 A, which is just beyond the pines on the outer edge of the front lawn of the property. The living room is adjacent to the open kitchen with dining area. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed, chaise lounge, large closet and bay window seat. The study/second bedroom with queen-size futon bed, comfy reading chair and writing desk opens through 1888 French doors to the large porch looking out onto Mt Ascutney. The bathroom has a shower over a claw-foot tub among its amenities. This BnB is fully stocked with everything you need to have a relaxing visit, and more: books, games, television-as-monitor, DVD player, and high-speed internet. This is an authentic 1766 building, which you will quickly notice with, e.g., window jambs, gunstock corners, original beams, 1766 corner cupboard in the Master bedroom. The space has the quirks of its actual age in window jambs and other details. If you'd like a modern copy of an actual 1766 building, this is not the place for you!
We are situated in the heart of the Upper Valley, a buzzing four-season cultural area punctuated with picturesque New England towns and landscapes. • Jo's place is amazing. It's everything that was described on the website and more. Jo is the most gracious hostess we have ever had and a great tour guide. The place was very spacious and quaint. We felt like we had gone back in time. The location is excellent for touring New Hampshire and Vermont. We would definitely book it again if we were in the area.

  • The space at the Maxfield Parrish suite in Cornish NH is a treasure . It retains the charm of says gone by . Saint Gaudens gardens are right down the road . Lots to see & do in every direction , Beautiful Mt.Ascutny that you can see from the porch. The Artisan Park , lake Sunapee , Woodstock Vt , delightful township of Plainfield , organic farms for your produce . I could go on & on . We will be returning to Jos’s home .....

    Sylvia & John2019-07-16T00:00:00Z
  • Jo and her place were great! The space was exactly what I had hoped for; plenty of room, lots of privacy, a well stocked kitchen, relaxing study and lovely porch for sunset viewing. The place was rustic in the exact right way, with all the modern conveniences. Jo was a fantastic host, she started me with all the breakfast necessities (OJ, bread, eggs, milk, syrup, jam and more) and even asked if I needed her to pick anything up at the store. She was very respectful of my space, which I appreciated, but was extremely responsive when I needed anything at all (shampoo, a blown fuse etc). I can't wait to get back and enjoy all this airbnb and the surrounding area have to offer!

    Jesse2019-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • Jo is a great host and our employee enjoyed their stay. Great communication and was very friendly! Will definitely stay with her again in the future!

  • This was a very cosy and cute place. Owner was super nice, and we would definitely recommend this place.

    Keiko2018-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay in the Maxfield Parrish suite in early September. Jo was wonderful about our not-quite-certain arrival times, and was super responsive to our questions. We were grateful for the possibility of bringing our dog although in the end she stayed home with a friend. We love quirky or antique places with lots of character and this fit the bill. Along with the charm of its centuries' old structure and its inherent wabi-sabi, the space is very comfortable, cozy but roomy, and clean. Bathroom and kitchen stuff all worked well--we used the oven to make a pie with local apples. The unit is in an older farm building on the same grounds as the host's house, and there's another unit in the building. That didn't impact our stay at all, just thought I'd mention it for other travelers. There's a fantastic porch off the side room, where we enjoyed lunch and the view of Mt. Ascutney. It's an easy shot to Hanover/Lebanon/White River Junction, and Cornish itself and the surrounding area is lovely. We had a fun hike up behind the old mill house that connects to the National Historic Monument at St. Gaudens house. Would certainly go back!

    Sandy2018-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Jo's place is a little bit hard to find at first but once you get there, it's an adorable old house. Jo is SO friendly and lets you set the pace at how much or little you would like to communicate with her during your stay. The Roku on the TV was such a good touch. The front door is a little jammed and the back doors that lead out from the porch to the bedroom could use a better lock (you can still push/pull the doors open even when the bar is locked) but if you're not a paranoid city person like me, it's really not a problem at all. Jo was so great and left a jar of local apple butter and a handwritten note for my friends and I halfway through our stay. She really is an exceptional host and the house is very spacious and comfortable. We cooked dinner there one night and the kitchen is very comfortable to cook in. There aren't many options of nearby places to go to but the places we went were close by and amazing! A short trip away from the Harpoon Brewery and some great food spots :)

    Mary2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks for a nice stay at a unique historic property. It’s every inch a 1700’s vintage home, lots of character but with modern conveniences.

Shared semi-formal living room is a great place to read or relax with a glass of wine. The house is less than a mile from the I-91 & I-89 interchange (and near US 4 & 5) but on a quiet side street and surrounded by lawn, gardens, and towering oak and maple trees. I’m usually there for work so my schedule doesn’t always line up with Todd’s and we haven’t come into a ton of contact, but every interaction has been great. • As others on here have noted, the pictures do not do this place justice. The apartment loft is breathtaking and, by far, one of the nicest air bnb’s I have ever stayed at. Dorothy and Barry are extremely responsive, helpful, and respectful of privacy. What a find.

  • Elaine is a wonderful hostess. Her home is very cozy and comfortable. There was everything we needed very well equipped kitchen. Enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend.

    Linda2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a paradise. We loved being on the lake, the views, listening to the loons and watching them through the binoculars. We loved canoeing, swimming in the lake (it is very clean) walking along the road in the evenings, sitting on the swing chair on the deck. We loved hanging out in the inner tubes of the lake and just drifting about, listening to the birds, the lapping of the water. We loved Elaine's beautiful flowers that were everywhere and the humming bird that visited often. We visited other lakes on our trip which were beautiful but were always happy to get back to Goose pond. The place was plenty room for the 2 of us. I like to cook and the kitchen really had everything I could want to cook a nice meal. The views, the woods in the back. We would definitely come back. Elaine is a very lovely lady an incredible host, always there to answer questions. Our only complaint was the neighbors were a bit noisy on the weekends. It seemed they were gone during the week but on the weekends, their playing the radio outside all day and into the evening one day was a damper. And they tend to yell back and forth to each other instead of normal talking (in a friendly way) They did turn the radio off at night so they did not keep us up. And we are very quiet people so most people may not be bothered by their noise. Still, this place was absolutely wonderful and we would definitely come back. Thank you Elaine!

    Kip2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a wonderful time at Elaine’s lake house. Every possible amenity was available for us. The house was clean and very thoughtfully decorated. The view from the porch was lovely. We took the canoe out and went to the northernmost part of the lake and caught some fish. The lake was quiet and relaxing, not a lot of boats on the water. I wish we could have stayed longer.

    Michelle2019-08-07T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect! Elaine's home on Goose Pond is a great summer getaway. She's a wonderful host, and her home is very comfortable and well-equipped, especially the kitchen. Had many nice meals out on the deck overlooking the lake and great times swimming and canoeing in the pond. A quick 1.5 hour drive from the heart of the white mountains. The pond is serene, especially on weekdays when there are fewer boats. Highly recommended, already thinking about going back next summer.

    Daniel2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • My husband and I had a great stay at Elaine’s place. The view and access to the lake was amazing. She has a canoe that we enjoyed taking out and got close to the loones. The place was so clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful home away from home with a great view and access to the lake.

  • We had a fabulous time during our Goose Pond stay. Our arrival was seamless and Elaine had left helpful hints and tips throughout the house. The house was spotless and had various amenities that helped make our stay comfortable. The lake was simply gorgeous and the house is literally steps from the lake. There was an awning available which allowed us to sit outside during high peak sun times. Excellent stay!

  • Relaxing, beautiful view. Such a peaceful spot. We enjoyed paddling on the lake and walking beside the lake. Also rented bikes in Lebanon and rode the bikeway. Enjoyed the Shaker Museum as well. Would love to return some time!

  • We had a wonderful time staying here. The house is comfortable, with everything you need for a short stay, and the view is fantastic. Really enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out on the lake.

Welcome to Mascoma Lake! We are situated right on Mascoma Lake - just step onto the beautiful deck and enjoy breakfast with a view! The perfect location for relaxation but close to amenities as well. We are just 15 min. from Dartmouth College (9mi.) - Hanover, NH (quaint town) and just 9 mi. from West Lebanon, NH (Big Box shopping). We are just a short 20 minute drive to Quechee Gorge and are only 45 minutes from Killington, VT. Just grab a bag, your favorite book and head for the lake!
You will have access to the downstairs bedroom. (You will have access to that 1 bedroom - the other bedrooms are private.) It has a brand new queen mattress and custom storage unit. The bedroom is on the same floor as the kitchen, dining room and bathroom. You can walk out, on the same level to the deck, for a breathtaking view!
The Town of Enfield, NH was chartered in 1761, Enfield is located in the heart of the Upper Valley. Early on in our history Enfield developed into an agricultural community. The settlement of a Shaker community on Mascoma Lake ushered in a new era for Enfield. As the Shakers expanded their settlement they encouraged the railroad to pass through our community. Like many New England areas, we too benefited from our fast moving waters, in this case the Mascoma River, to assist in the expansion of local industry. Enfield enjoyed a vibrant mill industry for many decades, finally coming to a close in the 1970s. We are now a thriving 21st century community offering a wide variety of cultural and recreational activities for our residents and visitors. Our residents and visitors can enjoy any number of outdoor year round all-season recreational opportunities. We have over 3000 acres of conserved land and over 15 miles of shoreland waiting to be explored. Enfield also has vibrant arts community, including a professional theater, summer musical camps and several museums. As mentioned earlier - we are very close to Hanover, NH --- Woodstock, VT--- Quechee, VT
  • The most comfortable bed, ever! Extremely easy check-in. Melissa remained available to answer questions. Beautiful views of the mountain and lake. They have done an excellent job to renovate the home.

  • A very clean, very comfortable spot in a lovely location. One feels as though you are on a boat, gazing out over a beautiful expanse of Mascoma Lake. In the early morning I awoke to a beautiful sunrise as the sun came up over the hills through the mist. My stay was on a weekday in late September so it was pretty mellow. Thank you, Melissa, for making my introduction to Airbnb a positive one!

    Kathy2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • Melissa's place is private, convenient, comfortable, and is a completely equipped kitchen and house! There are lots of options from quietly sitting on the deck, working a puzzle, binoculars for wildlife watching, or paddling around on the SUP! It is a great intro to Mascoma Lake and the vicinity, close to the Northern Rail Trail and Hanover! Highly recommend. Loved it.

  • What a beautiful spot on the lake! We took the canoe out for a paddle and enjoyed some great local hikes. Proximity to Dartmouth was great too. The place was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could want. The ping pong table proved good fun. We didn't meet Melissa but Bill Sr was there to greet us on arrival. Melissa was excellent with her communication and very helpful. Thank you! We wish we could have stayed longer.

Fully furnished 2 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms + sleeping loft condo on Eastman lake. Two story wall of windows and outdoor deck about 30 feet from the water's edge! Steps away from two beaches with great swimming and activity center with indoor pool. Cable tv and Internet included. Summer 2017 updates include brand new carpet (in loft), paint job, queen beds, couch, dining table, and sleeper sofa on loft.
  • Eastman is a wonderful vacation place and Brad has one of the best locations. Art

    Arthur2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Brad's. The walking path around the lake was great. Loved all the little beaches! Indoor pool and boating were fun too! Had a great show from the loons on the lake too!

    Ellie2017-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • We are a family of 7 who stayed at Brads condo on the lake and loved it! It was exactly what we were looking for. Clean, quiet, spacious enough accommodations just steps from the water. We really enjoyed our outdoor activity filled few days tucked into this quiet community in the woods. Expansive views of constellations over the lake for winding down at nighttime. Don't miss it!

    Stacy2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • The location is very peaceful, yet it is a driving distance to a nearby town for groceries, restaurants, etc. The lake was magnificent and we had a lot of fun renting water bikes, kayaks, etc. It would be great to go back.

  • Great little get a way place to stay. Everything you need in the house. Beautiful views and quiet at night. Had a great stay.

    Ari2017-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Reading this means you may already be sold on the Eastman location, but I'll elaborate on that anyhow. The lake was beautiful, and we went mid-July. We were surprised at how few people were there. I liked the proximity to the activity center, as I went to the fitness classes, used the gym and the swimming pool. The activity center rents boats. Canoes can be rented weekly; however, kayaks are hourly or daily. $54 a day. This unit came with a canoe. My parents rented a unit up the road that lacked lake view, but came with three kayaks, a canoe, and a paddle board. Personally, I would rather wake up and have my morning coffee overlooking the lake and pay the extra for the kayaks. When it came to this place, the kitchen had all we needed to cook, the beds were comfortable, there were fans if we needed them (which we didn't), and the couches were comfortable. The dining room table was large. Brad was very responsive when I asked him stuff, which was a few times. Check out and in was easy. I would highly recommend this place.

    Dorice2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is our second time renting Brad's condo. We really like the condo and its fantastic location. Brad was a good host, very easy to communicate with. He also lent us his canoe, which allowed us to go out on the lake later in the evening when the recreation centers boat rental is closed. We plan to go back again next year. Thank you Brad!

The Artist's Loft is a very comfortable, one-bedroom BnB on our historic, Cornish Arts Colony property. The building is surrounded by woods and lawn on our 36 acre property. The view of Mt. Ascutney across the river and in VT is inspiring. The Artist's Loft is cozy, quiet, and comfortable in all seasons, with Rinnai heating in the cooler and cold months, and an air conditioner in the bedroom for summer. There is a queen bed in the bedroom, and a day bed sofa in the living room.
The main house was an 1812 structure which was renovated by the splendid renovations of Boston architect Daniel Appleton in 1890, for the current owner's great Aunt and Uncle Beaman. The house has lovely, large spaces characteristic of Victorian summer houses of the time. The Beamans lived in New York City, but spent summers in "Little New York," as they and their friends called it, in Cornish. Later the summer residents came to be called the Cornish Art Colony, as many artists, writers, and composers sought refuge here from the stultifying summer heat of city life. The Cornish Art Colony flourished from 1882 to 1916; Cornish is nestled along the Connecticut River, which forms the boundary between NH and VT. There are many additional attractions from the Art Colony in our village, including Saint Gaudens' National Historic Site, which is across 12A from this location. The natural beauty is superb, including scenic views of the river, the covered bridge, Mt. Ascutney, and many hiking and walking trails.
Cornish is a quiet village, with no "town" center. The Cornish-Windsor Covered Bridge, just south of the Butternuts, is the longest two-span covered bridge in North America. The views of Mt. Ascutney from this property are superb. The Cornish boat landing and dock are just south of the property. Across the covered bridge is Windsor, VT, which has a grocery, pharmacy, excellent restaurants, quaint shops, a village green with weekly summer concerts, and the Artisans' Park, with its organic food offerings, canoe and raft rentals, Simon Pearce glassblowing facility, Harpoon Brewery with restaurant. Up Rte 12A from the property is the tax-free shopping of the West Lebanon shopping malls, and Hanover, NH, with Dartmouth College and many additional shops and restaurants. To the west, beyond Windsor, is Woodstock, VT, with its fine stores, restaurants and Pentangle Arts. Just across the river from West Lebanon is White River Junction, VT, which has art shops and craft shops, and is a flourishing arts center, including Northern Stage. Mt. Ascutney has numerous hiking trails, including those to the top, which has spectacular views. . On the hot days in summer, the swimming areas of Hartland dam and Wilder dam in Vermont are a short distance away, and are delightful spots along the Connecticut River. Cornish also has a boat dock on the CT River for kayaks or canoes, and this is just south of our property. The excellent skiing areas on Mt. Sunapee are thirty minutes southwest.
  • Definitely rustic but very clean slept great comfortable bed thank you so much for having your home available

  • I had a great stay at The Buttercups. A beautiful property and Jo is a wonderful host.

    Toni2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a woodsy place full of opportunities to relax in a natural setting. There is a compelling history to the property that shows in the old buildings. Jo makes every effort to see to your comfort. She brought us into the house because of water damage to the loft -- too much rain in New England this year. We shared stories and laughs over toast and jam.

    David2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • What I loved most about this place was our amazing host, Jo. She was so sweet, accommodating for us when arriving very late and she truly made us feel welcomed. The Artist's Loft had everything we needed for a fair price.

This small cottage is beside a brook. There are two upstairs bedrooms- one with a queen bed and the second with a twin. A second queen bed is located on a screened in porch for seasonal use (June-September usually). A deck provides views of woodsy yard and brook. The cottage is clean and well-equipped but needs some cosmetic repairs—please ask for details if there is concern. Two indoor-only cats are in residence - you can provide cat care or request cat sitter to come in.
The cottage is 1 mile from the center of New London and less than a mile from beautiful hiking trails. It’s quiet and calming and a short drive to skiing, restaurants and shops—perfect as a writing or painting retreat. Two indoor cats will be in residence -please indicate if you will feed them or if you’d prefer a daily cat sitter visit.
This cottage has a rural feeling to it with woods and a stream, but a mile back up the hill brings you to the heart of New London, where you’ll find coffee shops, bakeries, restaurants, gift shops, and more.
  • We all felt very comfortable in Kathryn's cottage. We were arriving very late, after a transatlantic flight, and were very tired. Kathryn realized this and made checking in and getting settled very easy.

  • Highly recommended cottage. Clean and comfortable with a relaxing screened in room facing trees and a deck. Able to walk to nearby hiking trails. Also near New London and the Flying Goose Brewery. The cottage was well equipped and communication with Kathryn quick and easy. Hope to spend more time in this neck of the woods. Thanks again!

  • Everything about this space was excellent. Easy to find, interior was very cool and made it surely feel like home. The porch was a nice spot to sit & have a quiet cup of morning coffee, and the beds were very comfy. The main town area is very close nearby, so anything quick (including a good meal) is a stone’s throw away. Loved our stay here- highly recommended!

It’s all new! A well appointed cabin that will satisfy for weekend or weeklong getaways. Nestled in the woods, it offers a window to NH wildlife (we've seen bears, deer, fox, owls and turkey). Close by, you'll find lakes and ponds for canoeing and kayaking, well-marked mountain hiking trails and winding back roads through NH woodlands. Within 30-60 minutes, there are fine dining restaurants, museums, antique shops, action parks and renown historical sites. Serene and peaceful.
We’ve stocked the kitchen for discerning cooks so delicious meals can be prepared and enjoyed. An outdoor propane grill is conveniently located on the porch.
Our cabin is conveniently located to local hiking trails with scenic vistas, a number of ponds and lakes perfect for kayaks and canoes and small to mid-size winter ski resorts ideal for children and beginner and intermediately skilled adults. Snowmobile, ATV and cross-country ski trails have access points within a mile of the cabin. A short walk brings one to the historic district of Canaan with architecture reminiscent of the mid to late 1800s, easy to stroll sidewalks, a town beach and meeting house. Avid cyclists will enjoy both the local rail-trail for mountain biking and the long, winding, roads with little traffic and scenic New England views. Photographers will enjoy scenic landscape views in all seasons and often find local wildlife in nearby fields, forests and on or near the lakes and ponds.
  • This is a beautiful and comfortable get away cabin with many unique fixtures and furnishings. Carol and Jeff really do want you to have a wonderful experience at their home. The space was immaculately clean with lots of snack goodies. And then there is the large steam shower which was such a treat to use. We have stayed in many Air BnBs in New Hampshire and Vermont and it’s difficult to find a home that has WiFi, cable TV, a full kitchen, and laundry services. We highly recommend this cabin!

  • Ellen's place was really great. I stayed in a few different AirBnbs in Lebanon during the past 3 months and Ellen's was the best one by far. The place was like an independent studio with own entrance so you have your privacy but at the same time you know that Ellen was always within reach! The apartment was very cozy and I could find everything I needed. It was about 10 mins walk to the bus stop so it was convenient for someone who doesn't drive like myself. Ellen took great care of us too during our stay, I really appreciate her hospitality! Overall, I really had a great stay at Ellen's place and hope I can come back and stay there again!

Everything was immaculately clean, there were so many suggestions for local activities, and Ellen was willing to go above and beyond to help make our stay as perfect as possible. We are so happy with our stay and we are price that you will be too!

  • I am forever grateful to Ellen and Alex for allowing me to stay at their wonderful apartment. This open and breezy space has everything one needs to be at home away from home. The kitchen is well equipped with plenty of dishes, silverware, teas, and cooking pans. the living room has a colorful couch and the bedroom is very zen and the bed is extremely comfortable. Ellen is extremely organized and has everything under control. It was wonderful getting to know them.

  • Perfect place for a family get together to spend time with one another. Location was beautiful and I cannot day enough about the sunsets and peaceful setting. Alyson and Mike made sure everything was ready for use and communication was excellent highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to relax with family and friends

  • We had a great time at Alyson’s! We enjoyed listening to the loons at night and watching them during the day. Would definitely recommend!

    Megan2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Such a wonderful spot. A perfect space for our family to unwind and enjoy nature. We made big meals and sat outside by the lake, enjoyed the kayaks and sat with the kids on the dock. The sunsets were AMAZING – I can't believe our photos. Alyson and Mike went above and beyond as hosts. They left a nice bottle of wine and all the fixings for s'mores and were so quick to respond to all communications. We are so happy they shared this slice of heaven with us!

    Erica2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at this magical cottage! Peaceful, serene and packed with all we needed...kayaks, SUP’s, gas fire pit (so easy...no fuss) and gas grill. Comfortable furniture and beds and very clean. The little “extras” were what really made this a hidden gem! S’mores fixin’s and a bottle of wine we’re waiting upon our arrival. Having basics like paper towels, condiments and even beach towels was helpful for our stay. And thank you Alyson and Mike for the beach chairs you left for us not normally on site!! A very kind gesture after we had inquired whether or not they had them for guests use. Can’t wait to visit again! One suggestion...this little cottage needs a name! :)

  • Fantastic!

    Laura2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • At Alyson’s Place we enjoyed sunset over the lake from both the dock and inside the cottage. It was a pleasant surprise to find useful items that other places did not provide, I.e, a bottle of refreshing white wine, chocolates, crackers, etc. My favorite items were a set of super sharp knives. Thank you Alyson!

    Surachanee2019-07-27T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage and its host are amazing! The house is clean, very well kept, and stocked with everything you could need. Alyson even left us some extras like smores for the fire and a bottle of wine. Even more amazing is the location. If you want peace and tranquility (and beautiful sun sets) look no further. Our family made so many great memories in our short stay here but our favorite was sitting by the fire, roasting marshmallows, and listening to the loons all night. Would definitely recommend and will most likely be back!
