Places to stay in Glenburn
The Guesthouse, attached to our family home has many unique architectural features, ply panelling, recycled and salvaged timbers throughout. The bedroom is minimally decorated. The bathroom and small kitchenette with hand crafted timber features, opens out to an al fresco dining and cooking area with a private deck overlooking the paddocks and rambling bushland. Somewhere to reflect, listen to the birds and whisper gently to the horses. Come and stay, it's quiet here.
If you have Instagram you can follow us @eightacrepaddock Or feel free to check out our website eightacrepaddock dot com The Guesthouse and our adjoining home is built on what is colloquially known as The Eight Acre Paddock. Surrounded by over thirty additional acres of rambling paddocks and bushland, The Guesthouse is both confidential yet well-connected to us your hosts, should you require any assistance throughout your stay. Your carefully chosen breakfast goods are locally sourced (where possible), such as Tom’s Paddock free range eggs and Wild Crust sourdough. The beautifully appointed ply panelled and bamboo floored bedroom - with a queen sized bed, a convertible day-bed, European panel heating & an air-conditioner - is a quiet space. Please note, the bedroom and the kitchenette both open out to the deck and are joined only by the covered area. Going from the bedroom to the bathroom for example, means you will be stepping out to the deck, walk 2 metres to the kitchenette and through to the bathroom, as there are no connecting doors. The Guesthouse has a small kitchenette, refrigerator, coffee pod machine, microwave, a modern gas BBQ (out on the deck) an electric plug in hotplate (out on the deck), toaster, kettle, crockery and cutlery, in addition to a washing machine if required.
We are situated within the National Park and many walking trails are at our doorstep. There is a pub a 10 minute drive up the road, however, if you're happy to drive a little further, you will find countless award winning restaurants and wineries within the surrounding Yarra Valley. Walking and cycling tracks are located throughout the National Park adjacent to our property. Yering, Coldstream, Healesville, Yarra Glen, Yea and Toolangi are all within a 30 minute beautiful country drive of Glenburn.
  • Fortunate to spend a few days in this special little place that is Kate’s paddock right at the footsteps of Kinglake National Park. From the entrance you are welcomed by a good size veranda that is equipped with everything that you need to relax and unwind: stunning views of the paddock, swing to help you let your hair down and enjoy the views, the horses and the multitude of birds. There is also a BBQ if you remember that you also have to eat not only sightseeing and interacting with the horses. Good size kitchenette with everything that you need for cooking the yummy eggs that Kate has left in the fridge for you alongside the homemade bread, jam and beautiful selection of teas. Bathroom is sparkling clean and offers organic soap and shower gel. The room is absolutely gorgeous with big windows looking over the paddock and forest. The smell of wood is so inviting, go inside and you don’t know where to look first: at the comfortable bed, at the good selection of books and movies, at the beautiful branch that stands for a closet... And there is more, within 30 min you have so many beautiful wineries and on farm butchers or dairy farms. Furthermore, lots of great walks and waterfalls surrounding that area. Come and spend a great time in this wonderful place !

  • We really enjoyed our stay at Kate's place. The accommodation was lovely and clean and we loved the way the room was done, really nice and bright. The bed was really comfortable and it was so relaxing sitting out on the deck. We loved how quiet it was, so peaceful with only the sounds of the birds and the rain.

The cottage has been tastefully furnished with elegant by-gone era style furniture which compliments the design. Set amongst beautiful established gardens with an abundance of native wildlife and a running stream of fresh water in the creek on the property, where you can fish for local trout and fresh water crays. Close to the Kinglake and Toolangi National Pa and also to the Yarra Valley wineries and other popular tourist attractions such as the Chocolaterie and Healesville Sanctuary.
The property is set on 10 acres frontage from road to back of property where you find the creek is approximate 200 meters. The cottage is very secluded by private gardens , not close to main residence or neighbours , so loud music or noise wont be a problem to surrounding neighbouring properties or main residence.
  • Wow such a beautiful place to stay. The cottage is homely and inviting and the gardens are so relaxing. Everything is just perfect .

Their stylish place was a perfect environment for our Xmas family time and dinner and unwrapping the gifts. Hosts are very friendly and helpful and their cottage is clean, comfortable, homely and recommended!

  • Oswalds place was charming with quirky fixtures and fitting which made it a special place for us to stay. The home comfortably accommodated the 5 adults and everyone’s sleep was excellent in super comfy and warm beds. Perfect spot to crash after attending a family wedding close by. Thanks Oswald and Sonia

Welcome to the Churches of Yarck Step inside either of these freestanding converted open plan church buildings and you enter a comfortable haven, stylishly decorated and ideally located in the charming little town of Yarck in North Eastern Victoria in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range. The versatile layout means that each studio is equally suited to a romantic couples' retreat or to accommodate families or groups - the rail trail runs across the back of the property and there's plenty of room to store your bikes. Yarck boasts several great places to eat and is in the heart of everything this part of Victoria has to offer.
Yarck is a quaint little country town boasting several great places to eat and set right in the middle of a winter & summer playground. The immediate area offers wonderful opportunities for horse riding, walking, bird watching, four wheel driving, boating and fishing - the Rail Trail runs directly behind the property and is a mecca for touring cyclists. Lake Eildon is just up the road as are a number of great trout rivers. In winter, the ski fields of Mt Buller, Mt Stirling and Lake Mountain are a comfortable drive away. A great little country pub and excellent restaurants and cafes are a leisurely stroll away. The district offers a wide selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants, wineries, galleries and craft shops, not to mention some spectacular scenery. The perfect place to stay as you explore the region by whatever means you choose.
  • A great calm and peaceful place where you can relax for the weekend in your own little heaven (a little literally in a former church). Great bakery across the road and easy access to Alexandra and hiking near Lake Eildon and other sights.

  • What a gem! I needed a quiet mid week break with my dog and couldn’t think of a better place for it! Great little getaway house with charm and luxury right across the road from a yummy bakery. Quiet area, not too far from Melbourne but far enough to get away from it all. Big comfortable bed, lovely warm fireplace, day bed, and a beautiful claw foot bath tub. What more could you want? It also has the comforts of tv, kitchen , shower, AC and ceiling fans. So great to be able to have my dog inside with me, as that’s rare to find, and honestly great value for such a lovely space. Highly recommend for a romantic getaway or relaxing break, and I will be back. Thanks!

    Kate2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay for a relaxing break.

    Michael2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • A great escape to the country and only 2 hours drive from the city. A brilliant conversion of the church ensures a quirky stay away. Having a dog it was important there was lots of walks nearby and having the rail trail literally on the back doorstep ticked that box.

    Lou2020-02-12T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my partner had an amazing stay and it's in a perfect location for lots of bike riding The bath tub and fire place was amazing and we would love to go back in winter to try the fire place out :-)

    Naomi2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely three night stay at the chapel. The place was more spacious than expected and perfect for couples. Yarck is a great spot to take off from for a bit of 4WDing and we went to Mt Stirling past Mansfield and Lake Eildon National Park during the days. It was great to get back to the chapel after some rain to have a bath and put the fire on. Bucks Bakery across the road has great brekkie and pasty/pie options too.

    Lara2020-01-21T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at the chapel of yarck. William was very quick to respond and even allowed an early check in. The food across the road at the bakery is outstanding and the Hospitality at the yarck hotel is warm and friendly. What a beautiful place to stay. Lovely warm fire, bath tub and comfortable bed. Thank you for your place William. We loved yarck

    Jordan2020-01-18T00:00:00Z
  • The Churches are amazing! The old charm mixed with modern touches, it makes for a homely feeling. The fire place works amazing and who knew you’d need it in the middle of summer. Yarck is a small beautiful town and I would recommend staying here even if it was for one night on your way through.

The 'Tiny Shed' is a simple and cosy space, set up to ensure you have your basics covered while you explore all the Yarra Valley has to offer. You will wake up to the sound of kookaburras, surrounded by beautiful native gums, ancient deciduous trees, all nestled on the bank of Meyer's Creek.
It is a small, self contained space, set up in a studio style, featuring a Queen size bed, bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen is fitted with a small fridge, electric mini oven and hob, toaster, kettle, and all utensils. We also have TV set up to play DVD and a great selection for you to choose from. Being only a short drive from the centre of town, there is so much that Healesville has to offer! Must visits like the Four Pillars Distillery, Innocent Bystander and Giant Steps cellar doors and great cafes (see us for our favourite local haunts) We’re in a great position to explore all of the vineyards the Yarra Valley has to offer and have maps available for your to plan your route. There’s also plenty of day walks to explore around us, from the Maroondah Dam, Toolangi State Park and Donnelley’s Weir, we’ve highlighted a few of our favourites here too!

  • The tiny house is more than enough for 1 or 2 people for couple of days to relax ! The location is magnificient, between some farms, 10 min away driving from Healesville. It has all the essential confort that you need. I would recommend to rent it when the weather is warm and nice outside as it is a little bit small. Bathroom is so great ! Such an interesting and funny experience (was funny for me actually, if you wanna start get "green", you can start this way). Garden and property are perfectly maintained, very green, lot of trees and flowers, it is very peacefull. Jesse gave me some advices for places to go around, he is such a nice and friendly person. Thank you again for your hospitality, this is the kind of experience everybody would need at least once to get back energy from our beautiful planet !

  • Phat joint. Liked feeling secluded yet only being a 6 min drive to the main drag of Healesville. Treats were left out for my arrival, but due to allergies I couldn’t eat :( I would stay again.

  • Jesse and Emily are great hosts. The wine, bread and chocolate cookies when we arrived were delicious and was a nice welcome. The shed is close to a lot of hiking paths and is a great place to get some quiet time. We loved it a lot! The shed is cozy and has a lot of nice details. Absolutely recommended!

  • Nelsey’s was perfect for our one night getaway to watch a concert at Rochford Wines. A lovely space with everything you could need. Janelle went out of her way to make us feel welcome - it was a hot day and she had ensured the cabin was lovely and cool by putting the air con on before we arrived. She also gave us a lift to and from the concert, which was extremely kind! Overall a great stay and fantastic host, thank you

  • Beautiful location. Three spacious bedrooms. Comfortable beds. Spotlessly clean . Great verandah to sit on and enjoy beautiful surroundings.

    Heather2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great part of Victoria to visit and the host went above and beyond at check in. Myself, my wife and a friend had travelled 2.5 hours and unfortunately on the way my wife had received news of a sick family members so had to race back home, leaving us without a vehicle. We told this story to cherlyn and she offered to drive us in to get pizza and a few drinks from Yarra Glen! Would’ve been a massive hassle without her as taxis were hard to come by over the weekend. The 2 border collies are absolute legends as well

    Lann2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryln’s place is beautiful. The period features meld seamlessly with the beautifully modern bathroom and kitchen space. The bedrooms are enormous and it is really well appointed. It is a delightful place where you can appreciate the beauty of the surrounding landscape. We would definitely stay again, but for longer next time!

    Michelle2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable.

    Ian2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Cheryln’s place was just beautiful in the most perfect location. Super easy if you are visiting local wineries. Cheryln’s communication was easy and clear in the lead up to our stay. Lots of beautiful decorative touches, views and two very friendly dogs - felt like a home away from home! Would happily stay again! Thanks

Treat yourself to magnificent, uninterrupted views over the beautiful rolling hills of the Yea Valley and surrounding mountain ranges. Designed and built by a local building designer, this truly is a unique, comfortable and relaxed space just waiting for you to enjoy. The centre of town along with its cafes, restaurants, shops and pubs is only a 15 minute walk away (or a 3 minute drive....)
A loft style studio retreat for a couple. Beautifully designed with an industrial chic feel but also with a warmth and heart that makes you relax into the environment in a heart beat. Polished concrete floors on the ground level are heated in the winter months. There is a great kitchen with all you need and a comfortable living space. The large windows all around the house frame the views perfectly, allowing you to enjoy your surroundings from inside or out. Nestle in the cosy bedroom upstairs. The entire space is yours during your stay. There is plenty of information at the property on what to do in the local area and hopefully all you need to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
We are tucked away on a no through road above the township of Yea on Constitution Hill, or Mt Connie as its known by the locals. We are a 15 minute walk downhill into town where you can explore the townships cafes, restaurants, shops and the wetlands information centre. The Yea Wetlands Information Centre is a great place to find additional information on the area also. There are many wineries in the area with Sedona Estate being the closest to Yea. Highly recommended. Yea is a great base for many of the tourist drives around the area. The Murrindindi Scenic reserve and the Great Victorian Rail Trail are another couple of great attractions. There is truly so much to discover in the area.
  • The home is amazing, it has exceeded our expectations. If you need a space to relax & connect with your partner or yourself- this home is just perfect!!

    Livi2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Jen and Lee have perfectly summed up their beautiful home. It is indeed the perfect tranquil getaway, with magnificent views. They really do a beautiful job of making you feel so very welcome and celebrate the beauty that Yea and its surrounding areas have to offer. We mentioned we wanted to see the Yea Show and there was a brochure for us to peruse. Its these personal touches that make your stay even more special. They're fabulous, responsive hosts. We couldn't recommend them and No.5 Smith Street higher enough.

    Kim2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • This stunning house is the perfect getaway for a couple looking for a relaxing time. The views are beautiful, the house itself is a piece of art and the extra touches Jen & Lee include made it extra special (bread, muesli, condiments, coffee etc). We had a great time and highly recommend.

    Amy2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • For those seeking a moment to breathe, reset and recharge, No. 5 Smith Street is all that and more. To the heated floors (most welcome on those chilly mornings ) and delicious morsels provided by these two thoughtful hosts, the rambling views, the fabulous coffee, the chorus of birdsong and even the sighting of the divine echidna upon dusk we couldn't have asked for a better break from the world. We can't wait to return dear Jen and Lee, thank you for sharing your part of Yea with us.

    Kim2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such a beautiful, unique and clean cottage surrounded by nature. This was exactly the kind of place my partner and I were looking to stay in for our relaxing weekend away. We had nature at our doorstep and shops and restaurants about a 5 minute drive. Everything was lovely! Jen and Lee were easy to communicate with, hospitable and put such lovely touches on their home for us to easily navigate the place. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing weekend away in a gorgeous part of Victoria.

    Angelica2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to stay in a quiet, light-filled, spacious, open-plan, well-appointed, sustainable, ultra-clean, modern, country-style cottage boasting panoramic views over the township, then book in to 5 Smith Street, Yea. (The photos are accurate and the description authentic). If you want to experience the joyous carolling of Magpies at dawn and dusk, the raucous calls and clownish behaviour of the Sulphur-crested Cockatoos during the day, and the distinctive, two-noted call of the Southern Boobook Owl in the evening, then book in to 5 Smith Street, Yea. If you want responsive, hospitable hosts, then book into 5 Smith Street, Yea. We highly recommend the property. We stayed over two nights in late September during our cycle along the rail trail. All in all, probably the best Airbnb we've ever stayed in! John and Jenny from Buninyong.

    John2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Wow what a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in Yea for our anniversary and couldn’t have picked a more perfect place. To the bottle of wine on arrival, to all the extra little touches like biodegradable coffee pods and wood for the fire pit. This house is truly amazing and the views are out of this world. We are definitely looking forward to coming back.

  • We had an awesome time enjoying the stone chalet in the hills of the yarra valley. What a unique spot to unwind, spot wildlife from the terrace, have a laugh with scobee and play with the other animals around the house. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. We will definitely come back one day..!

Tall Trees Chalet is nestled in the forest above Healesville in the Yarra Valley. It is a detached dwelling, but close to the main house on our 5 acre property surrounded by large trees, a spring fed creek, fern gullies, historic ruins and enchanting gardens. We live on the property with our two young children and are happy to interact or leave you in complete privacy. The Chalet is a great base to explore the regions many attractions, whether you are into wine, walking, weddings or relaxation.
The space has been designed and hand built by your hosts in a mountain Chalet style with exposed Oregon beams, high ceilings, lots of natural light and an open plan feel with views to the forest. The kitchen and bathroom bench-tops are made from timber harvested on the property. The kitchenette features sink, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge; ample for most short stays. There is a new Queen size bed and comfortable fold out double sofa for up to two extra guests or children. A new TV, split system A/C and dimmable LED lighting complete the fit-out. Guests can park right at the door. Coffee, tea and light breakfast is provided, as well as towels, bedding, toiletries and other essentials.
Our neighbourhood, beyond the Toolangi forest which surrounds us, is the world renowned Yarra Valley wine region. There are also many great walks and bike rides in the forest and the valley, as well as the Healesville Sanctuary. The town of Healesville is an easy 10 min drive and caters for every imaginable need, from boutique, to basic.
  • Close to Healesville, but feels like a million miles away. very special. the cottage itself is very small, and essentially a refurbed garage out the back of the main house. but inside the room you wouldn't know it. bathroom is nice size. bed is comfy. there is a couch and a small table. the place is simple, but totally fine. the amazing thing about this place is its location amongst the trees - incredible.

  • Beautiful glamping experience in style. Very comfortable accomodation in a secluded place. We were impressed by eco-friendly facilities. Mez was very kind to drive us to the accommodation and show us every detail of the property. She even gave their car for use during our stay. Highly recommended for good glamping experience and quite getaways.

  • Mez and Jamies place is exactly as described. The location was very secluded with everything you need to have an enjoyable glamping experience. It was a shame we couldnt light a camp fire due to the fire ban but there was a very clean bbq we used to cook dinner. The tent was spacious and the bed was very comfy but it can get fairly hot on the warmer days. Jamie was therw to greet us and show us around upon check in and he was very responsive to our questions. Would definitely recommend Mez and jamies place for anyone looking to disconnect and get back to nature but still need the creature comforts.

  • Mez and Jamie’s place is the perfect pick for a relaxing weekend away! They have everything you could possibly need and the area around is beautiful! We will definitely recommend it to other people and be back in the future!

  • Wow! What a place. I took my wife here just before our wedding. It was the perfect way to settle into our wedding. The place was setup beautifully and the view of the stars was stunning! (Having no reception was a great thing for us!) Highly recommend for a romantic get away!

    Anthony2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • The tent was better than expected and the location was private and beautiful. We got to meet the horses nearby which added to the overall incredibly memorable experience. Would definitely recommend it.

  • We had a wonderful stay! Everything was spotless and well laid out. There were even beautiful animals on the property, including an alpaca and kangaroos. We'll definitely be back.

Set in pleasant bird-filled gardens bordering a trout stream, our suite has queen bed, bathroom with shower and spa bath, and kitchenette. Iron available on request. Touring visitors are welcome to use our washing machine and clothesline! The suite is suitable for one or two people; it is not suitable for a family although we can provide a single mattress on the floor if necessary. We provide a light breakfast, and there are excellent local eateries for lunches and evening meals.
For the active-minded, we have tennis rackets for use in the courts across the road. Also we have a pool table and an exercise machine available in a separate building. You are welcome to try fishing from our garden, but must bring all your own equipment. There is a petrol station-cum-post office nearby which stocks milk and bread, but for other shops you will need to go to Marysville (11 kms) or Alexandra (30 kms) or byo from the city. The area has many music festivals and art shows during the year – the winter Beanie Festival in Alex is very special - and Marysville and Alexandra both host markets. Marysville markets are scheduled for the second and fourth Sunday of the month while market season in Alex is from September to May on the second Saturday of each month from 9:00am to 1:00pm in the grounds of the former railway station in Station Street. Stalls include food, fruit and veg, craft, plants and herbs, jewellery, and entertainment Marysville market boasts crafts, gifts, clothing, plants, soaps, preserves, jams, chutneys, olive oil, honey, fresh fruit and vegetables and wine. The market is bi-monthly in the warmer months but restricted to the second Sunday during the winter months. Both towns have interesting op shops and plant nurseries. With all the rivers and streams, the scenery is picturesque indeed and there are many picnic grounds along the main highways. The area is ideal for those who like to walk or climb the hills nearby.
Buxton is close to the Cathedral Range, Marysville, confluence of three trout streams, walking tracks and not far from Lake Mountain, Alexandra, Bonnie Doon and Eildon. Buxton Reserve across the road is a well-kept park with tennis courts, barbecues, children’s play area and cycle challenge. The Buxton Pub is famous for its hospitality and has an appealing menu. The Buxton trout/salmon farm is within walking distance, and in late summer you can pick blackberries to your heart’s content. This area is well-endowed with bird life. We have parrots, kookaburras, eastern spinebills, and wrens, and more. A frequent visitor is a satin bower bird and his females.
  • Fantastic little place to base yourselves before a brilliant hike around the The Cathedral Ranges. Then come back and enjoyed the fantastic garden Elaine has created.

    Hugh2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful peaceful place, 10 minutes from vibrant Marysville, lovely touches with the breakfast. Spa bath a bonus and a stroll in the expansive garden down the the creek is a must.

  • Amazing place in the heart of Buxton, and close to Marysville. For anyone staying, strongly recommend to check out the salmon farm, which is literally few steps away for one of a kind experience. And Elaine is such a lovely host!

  • Had a lovely stay here with my partner. Well thought out space with a high ceiling and a lovely garden. You can walk to the Buxton Hotel and Marysville is a short drive away, servo can also be reached on foot. There's a nice park at the end of the road with a river if you fancy a dip. Elaine and her partner were really friendly and catered to all of our needs - would stay again.

Host was lovely upon arrival, greeting us with baked treats and fresh strawberries. Easy communication and very obliging to our needs.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Hilltop. The host was very accommodating and thoughtful to our needs having a young child with us. She provided us with additional play equipment and plenty of bird seeds to feed the local parrots. Feeding the birds was definitely a highlight for us, and our 2 year old couldn’t get enough. The yard was exceptionally maintained and even better in real life. You can really unwind and just take in your surroundings. Short drive into town, had a great pizza at ‘The Bodhi Tree’. Highly recommend to anyone; families, couples, friends getaway or even some time to yourself.

Great location - 5 mins drive to restaurants, cafes and cellar doors and 15-20 minutes to vineyards. The amenities provided were generous and the best part of our stay was having the wild birds feed directly out of our hands! Brett2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Often an Airbnb is amazing but the owners see it as a business. However, the views although truly a heaven on earth can’t match the humility and hospitality Peter offers. He repeatedly dropped me off and picked me up from wine tasting and hiking even though I had a car. From a stocked fridge to hot tub to Sinatra records to making reservations for restaurant at vineyard, he is actually a gentle reminder of “heaven on earth”.

    Niraj2020-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful time at Peters place. The views from the spa are unreal. His home was very comfortable and we appreciated the lovely touches like fresh flowers, chocolates and breakfast staples. He has three very well behaved dogs and his horses come right up to the house. It was also a fantastic location surrounded by vineyards. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely go back.

Since the studio days when it was all a big open space, Sandy and Pat have renovated this property to be fully accommodating so we can share the beautiful cottage and gardens with family, friends and guests for a tranquil and relaxing vacation away.
This gorgeous Pottery cottage retreat is where Sandy spent over 20 years hand crafting her finest Australian pottery collection, together Mum and I (sandy), have filled the home with many special pieces of Sandys work to give you a true feel for the beauty that was created here, most bowls, plates, cups and vases were all made in this special cottage that Pat built for Sandy. Out the back you can still see the original shed where the firing kiln still remains, still filled with the last collect ever fired.
Healesville is a quite residential town with many great cafes and restaurants. there are many lovely walks in the nature parks and along walking trails. healesville is a 1 hour drive from the snowfields of lake mountain is popular for yarra valley winerys, the chocolateria. and the world renowned Healesville Sanctuary.
  • This was a wonderful getaway. The cottage was beautifully clean and set up when we arrived, and check in was easy. This is a quiet leafy space and I felt I was close to nature and to the town centre at the same time. I particularly enjoyed sitting on the verandah with a glass of wine and a good book, and when I looked over to my right I could see bright Rosellas eating a peach on the peach tree. Would recommend!

Yarra-Ley ‘Yarra-Ley’ is a small cattle farm (117 acres) hidden in the hills behind Yarra Glen overlooking the Yarra Valley, 10 minutes from town. To see the property go to @yarra_ley on Instagram.
I seem to be farming kangaroos, wombats, foxes and deer. Be careful of the kangaroos when driving in, especially at night. Kangaroos have no road sense but there is nothing more special than driving slowly behind a kangaroo hopping down the middle of the road in front of the car or if you are on foot. Don’t try to pass them, just let them hop away.
The Yarra Valley has so much to offer with wineries, good food, the arts, magnificant scenery, fauna and flora. I shall give guests more details.
  • Beautiful, tranquil and stunning view of the valley. Helen keeps everything tidy and cleaning. Perfect for a farm stay just to refresh.

  • We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The back deck was definitely a huge selling point- beautiful greenery, the peaceful sounds of the river and King Parrots & Cockatoos coming to visit. Very close to Marysville, Lake Mountain and Cathedral Ranges. We happened upon a twilight market in Taggerty (about 15 minutes drive away) which was a highlight and definitely recommended for a warm, local feel. Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Victoria.

  • The Rectory was perfect for our family (including teenager and pooch) during our recent 4 night stay. We absolutely loved the charm and history of the church building. We enjoyed walks along the Great Victorian Rail Trail, exploring local townships, lots of reading and board games and ate our weight in cherries from the local cherry farm. Buck's Bakery was ideal for the morning paper and daily treat and Alexandra very handy for extra provisions and great Thai food. Overall delightful accommodation and host.

My place is close to Innocent bystander and Giant Steps. You’ll love my place because its has been newly renovated and is in a central location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families, and big groups. It is about a 10 minute walk to Innocent Bystander, and a 15 minute walk to the main street. • Fantastic hosts! Great place, beautiful location and super lovely interior space! Spa bath was amazing, very relaxing :)

    Katie2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and tidy and just what we needed for a night away. Plus an easy walk to town was an added bonus. Thanks to Bec for a stress free experience with easy communication in the lead up to our stay.

    Kate2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely place that is located very close to the Healseville RACV country club - given I needed to meet there very early for a hot air ballooning trip it was very convenient. Basic kitchen is very useful. May not be as suitable for those scared of dogs - there was the occasional barking dog just through the wall. Wish I could have stayed longer!

    Daniel2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location, incredible hosts and a lovely bathtub. Thank you for the pleasant check in and excellent communication. You won’t be disappointed staying here. Thanks again!

    Jordan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was our first Airbnb booking and everything was perfect. Bec was excellent on the communication front; personally making contact via Airbnb immediately to confirm booking and offering help. We needed to order a birthday cake and Bec gave us excellent recommendations and even offered to help take delivery of the cake before we arrived. The house is on a hill, quiet, has a peaceful view and very clean. All the amenities for a comfortable stay, including a spa bath, were available. There were thoughtful little touches for example making up the sofa bed for our child before we arrived and leaving the outdoor lights on for late arrival. Check in using a lock box was seamless, adding to the sense of privacy and unobtrusiveness whilst retaining the security that your hosts are onsite to help with any problems. We would love to come back again.
