Adjacent to Ayukawa Beach, you can enjoy the blue sea during the day, the sunset on the horizon in the evening, and the fishing lights and starry sky at night.It is a special location where you can feel the Sea of Japan, which changes its appearance every season, at any time during your stay. The building uses virgin cedar wood for all ceilings, floors and walls. The space, wrapped in the scent and warmth of wood, creates an extraordinary time to relax from the everyday.You can also enjoy the sea and sunset from the bath, and spend a luxurious time while soaking in the bathtub. The inn is a two-story private building. It has 4 single beds on the 1st floor and 1 double bed on the 2nd floor, and can accommodate up to 6 people. There is also a terrace overlooking the sea, perfect for morning coffee or a quiet evening. The surrounding area is one of the best fishing spots on the Echizen coast. Fishing boats depart from Ayukawa Fishing Port right in front of the house, so it is also recommended for fishing trips. In addition, we run the seaside cafe Maare, which is a 3-minute drive away, so you can enjoy a BBQ without bringing anything. Haruya Guesthouse

Our guesthouse is in a beautiful mountain village, near to it are pristine forests with beech trees and an ancient mountain path that was used to carry sea products from Japan sea to Kyoto in old days. In front of the guesthouse runs a stream that is a source of Lake Biwa and its water is crystal clear ; in early summer nights many fireflies fly over the stream. In winter, we have a lot of snow ; sometimes it reaches 2 meters from the ground! On clear nights you can enjoy the sky full of stars.
