Very fun place to stay. Roots to the roots 😊

A small well maintained apartment.

Karl-Heinz is an exemplary host! Check-in and check-out works without it. If a problem occurs, he is immediately on the spot. The apartment is beautifully located on the lake and we felt comfortable. In the apartment, nothing is missing.

Great accommodation! Great location, Karl-Heinz is very courteous & helpful. The lake access is directly opposite, the baker bus stops every day at 07:20 also directly across from the apartment. I can only recommend the accommodation!

We had a great stay at Faaker See in our accommodation. From the terrace you have a good view of the lake (directly on the other side of the street is the public beach for use, which was very convenient). The apartment is well equipped, quiet and lovingly furnished. We did not miss anything and we were very satisfied. For any questions Karl-Heinz was reachable. This air bnb is easy to recommend!

There were three of us in the accommodation. Everything was clean, towels and sheets. The equipment was sufficient and we did not miss anything. The contact with Karl-Heinz and Bettina was always possible via a Whatsapp group and it was always responded to questions quickly. The check-in and check-out was super uncomplicated and possible at any time. A great place to stay, we would come back anytime.

Our stay at Karl-Heinz am Faaker See was really nice. Despite traffic jam we received an incredibly warm welcome with a subsequent tour through the apartment and the underground car park. The apartment was nicely decorated and met our taste with the view of the lake (and the cars). What is important to mention is that in May in the area is always busy (Wörtherseetreffen, Gti meetings, etc. - everything that makes the car heart beat faster.) The apartment is right on the road to the Turbo curve in Arneitz - so you can Expect long traffic jams and loud car engines and horns this month. We thought that was really great! Karl-Heinz was super friendly and accommodating, with small challenges (eg broken stove) he has found a fast and great alternative. Thank you very much!

Apartment in a perfectly clean location ideal for two families. Beautiful foreign garden

I would recommend this property for a family vacation. We stayed in a large apartment, which is very clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. It has all the facilities that you may need - the stove, dishes, the dishwasher, etc. The house has a large garden with a ping-pong table, and also a private beach on a lake, with a boat. Hermine and her son were great hosts, always smiling and ready to help. Our children also enjoyed playing with Mia, the family dog. Very relaxing, highly recommended.

Actually I can not add much to the other reviews. The apartment is wonderfully large and as described. The garden, the private beach and the boat are additional highlights. The possibility to play in the garden Tischtennis was for us a further plus. Every day behind the lake to look at the caravans can also be. We liked it very much.

We, my two daughters plus friends, my life companion and my Enkeltochter (11 months) were very pleased with this great accommodation and Hermione as a great hostess. House, garden and beach absolutely correspond to the description. Also for the youngest in our round everything necessary was available (cot, high chair, stiegensicherung). We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back !!!!!

Hermione and her family were very friendly welcome and provided with all necessary information to the apartment and the surrounding area. The apartment itself is lovingly furnished and cozy. We were able to share the beautiful garden (with table tennis and a friendly dog!), The highlight is of course the private beach on Lake Faak, which is about 5 minutes walk. There are chairs, benches, tables, a small beach house and a row boat. We had very good times there. Overall it was a very successful holiday, and we have felt very comfortable with Hermione and her family!

The bungalow is perfect for a holiday on Lake Faak. The access to the lake is really close and it is never really busy. The garden around the bungalow is great for kids to play (small sandbox and slide). Even if the weather is not enough for swimming, a lot can be done in the region. We really enjoyed our holiday with Gabriel (and Florian). We'll be back soon.

This bungalow is one of the jewels of Lake Faak. The warmth of the landlord family is evident in all the details of the small estate. The location with only 30 meters from the beach is a dream. In the house there's everything you need. Hardly better.

We had with our 15 year old son a great 14 days stay in the bungalow right on Lake Faak. The private beach access to the lake is only a few meters from the entrance of the bungalow. We really enjoyed the great location in the beautiful landscape! We felt very comfortable in the lovingly furnished bungalow with the very nice well-kept garden. Gabriel and his family were super nice and helpful hosts. Thanks for the nice time!

We had a wonderful stay at Rico. The apartment is nice and super clean. In the morning you look from the bed through a large glass front directly onto the lake and the mountains. The sun is shining in the room and it is almost unreal beautiful. The apartment and nature offer a wonderful way to escape from everyday life for a few days. We will gladly come back and can only recommend you :)

The apartment on Lake Faak is beautiful, both in terms of facilities, as well as the location and the spectacular views. We enjoyed our stay very much and can fully recommend the apartment.

Great house with a panoramic view of the lake and mountains. Very quiet location, private access to the lake, and a nice small public beach a five-minute walk away. Perfect for relaxing and enjoying the lake, also only short distance away from Italy and Slovenia.

She was cool, knowledgeable and, super friendly! Totally recommend to join in! Especially, she show me local things during the explorer! They are helpful for my first day of Istanbul.

I met Basak for her welcoming breakfast. We had a great time. Basak is a very friendly, warm person who really knows a lot about her beautiful and interesting neighbourhood! She had a lot of information fo me and could tell a lot of things about how to live in Kadiköy. She had good recomendations about shops, hamams and restaurants! It war a great time!

She told me a bit about the history, gave me a walking tour, had a delicious Turkish breakfast and made me an itinerary for the rest of my trip. I had such a good time that I came back that same day for her afternoon biking experience as well

We were in August 2019 for two weeks in Gregor's house on Faakersee. The house was super clean, is very spacious (4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, pantry, etc) and an ideal starting point for many nice trips in Carinthia. The lake is only 5 minutes walk away. There is a great and free beach with water slide, restaurant, etc. A supermarket with everything you need is also just 5 minutes walk from the house. That's really handy. Restaurants and bars are also within walking distance. The Faakersee is the hit! Most beautiful lake ever! We felt very well and would like to thank Gregor for the nice two weeks.

The decor is in the style of the 60s, check-in worked fine and after consultation rather than stated. The contact was only written, you have not seen the hosts. Nevertheless, everything has worked smoothly. Except for the drain in the bathtub, there were no problems with the cleanliness. Definitely a nice place to stay!

We had Gebhard's apartment booked for a few days on our way through. It is very nice and if you are there because of Lake Faaker, it is definitely worth a visit. The apartment was clean, everything was available what you need for a longer stay. The decor is rather from the 60s but already fine. Check-in is easy with a code key box. Personally, we did not meet the landlord, but had a nice and fast communication. Would book the apartment again if we should be in the area.

Gebhard and Eva are exellent hosts. We really enjoyed our stay in their apartment. It is perfectly clean, spatious, located out of noise, but also near the public places. Tranquillity is the best word to characterize its location. Gebhard and Eva were very kind and instantly replied to our queries. The view from balcony to the mountains is excellent. We also enjoyed looking at two free walking "guests" in the grass: a deer and a hare. Coming from surrounding trees, they appeared in our view almost every day, sometimes only one of them, sometimes both at the same time. We made multiple photo's of these animals. Bath house at lake is really a gem. We spent very good time in it. Thank you Gebhard and Eva!

A wonderful, clean and large apartment which is beautifully located. Very clean, well equipped and very quiet. Balcony very good usable, large kitchen and enough rooms. We recommend!

The apartment is nice, big, modern and functional. The house has its own lake access, a lawn, jetty and everything we wanted for a relaxing holiday. Local, shopping and excursion possibilities are nearby. The communication with the landlords was uncomplicated, pleasant and friendly. We look forward to a reunion!

Martin's apartment is highly recommended. The direct lake access shared only by four apartments is great. The apartment offers everything: comfortable beds, nice living room and a kitchen with full equipment. The kitchen basics should be taken if you intend to cook;)

An absolutely nice place, Gebhards house is at a very nice location close to the lake, just 5 min walk from the town faak am see. The appartment in the 1st floor is spacious and has everything you need!

A lot of space, nice in the green but not too far to go shopping, eating out or lake. When we needed something in the apartment we got it immediately :) Thank you! To recommend :)

This place is a real find, especially because of the location! It's up on a little hill surrounded by nothing but trees and fields, there are no other houses directly around it. Also, you have a great view of the Karawank mountain range. The living room has a big picture window that looks out over the fields to the mountains. The deck is very large and equipped with all kinds of seating options. We would have a long breakfast every morning on the deck looking out towards the mountains, it was amazing. The lake is one of the most beautiful in Austria and there are a ton of great activities in the area. You have everything from great restaurants, biking and hiking trips, swimming of course and a lot more. Also Villach is only about 15 minutes away, so we went into town for a couple cool events. A big bonus is that they provide you with access to a rustic little lake house and beach area. It's nice because it's a lot quieter than the big public beaches. We really enjoyed resting and swimming there. We never actually met the hosts, which we were ok with since we just wanted to get away and have some alone time as a couple. Nevertheless, check in and out are easy since they use a key drop and they were really easy to get in contact with. I would definitly recommend this place and hope to visit again some time.

The apartment is very spacious and has an awesome view over the mountains in Kärnten. The furniture in the apartment is very tasteful and stylish. The apartment is clean, very quiet and the big terrace is another plus. Grocery shopping can be reached in 5-10 Min by foot. The Lake House, we can be used by the guests, is lovely and a perfect place to enjoy summer!

So the view from this apartment is amazing! It’s a quick drive down the driveway (quite bumpy if you’re in a lowered car like we were) to the town and only 4 minutes away from the boat hire at Faak lake. The apartment is very open and bright whilst staying cool in the sunlight. The fridge has loads of space and there is loads of cutlery and plates etc. We booked his stay quite last minute and were really pleasantly surprised and couldn’t believe how lucky we got. Would definitely recommend.

Mr Gebhard is a great host. Although we came much much later in the night as we originaly planned and let him know, he had no problem with it. The place is a beautiful modernly designed apartment at a hill just a few minutes walking from Fakeer am See and the view from the living room window is unbelievable. The apartment was clean and spacious and the kitchen was very well equiped for a few days stay. I definitely recommend mr Gebhard´s place, we are definitely comming back as well. Thank You!

We stayed at Nicole's on New Year's Eve. The place is easily accessible and immersed in tranquility. The building is an apartment complex with a bar and a dining room. The room was gorgeous! Very welcoming and cared for, with a fantastic built-in wall sofa and small but functional bathroom. In the evening we had dinner with the other guests, super cuisine! And after a small party organized by Nicole to celebrate the new year we spent the small hours together with them almost like old friends. A beautiful evening! In summary, a family-run bed & breakfast with attention to every detail, with smiling, friendly and helpful managers for every need. If we make another trip to the area we will certainly try to go back. Super recommended !!

Absolutely recommendable. Very warm hosts and good cuisine. We were only on the transit, but we felt like Nicole and Matze already on holiday.

Nicole is very very kind and nice. The room was beautiful in a big house in the wood but near to the lake and to the primary services. great breakfast in the morning and delicious grill and fried chicken at dinner... gnammm...

Nicole was always available, answered directly. In addition, there was a top directions including speed camera alarm. A little delayed arrival was also no problem. The house is a nice large inn in close proximity to Faaker See. Room very clean, breakfast (fresh mirrors :-)) gabs in addition. All together unconditionally recommendable!

The 2-bedroom apartment overlooking the lake is located in an apartment house in a short walking distance to Faak. The apartment seems entirely renovated and is in a modern, perfect, very clean condition. In the kitchen (more than) basic equipment, coffee, tea makers and toasters were present besides. Price-performance ratio in comparison with many other accommodation was perfectly fine. Check-in and check-out worked perfectly, again any time!

Really recommended. Nicole and her family made sure I enjoyed it. From breakfast and overnight. The restaurant is also exceptionally good. And that for a very good price.

We really enjoyed our week at Villa Nora. The apartment was great, the private beach by boat first class and your hospitality pleasant. Only a peeler for carrots we missed.

We spent two wonderful weeks in Hermione's house. The apartment is lovely and stylish and super clean. Our favorite room was the bedroom: from the bed the view of the mountains. Great! On the small balcony you can have breakfast for two with equally good views of the garden, lake and Mittagskogel. We especially liked that the apartment deviates from the otherwise common 70s charm of the apartment. To the private beach you go on foot max. 10 mins. The place is shared only with the guests of the other apartment of Hermione (which are not always there). The lake is clean, warm and altogether quiet. Hermione has a rowing boat that we used to cross the lake a couple of times. Hermione herself is a very sympathetic host who is dedicated to her estate, has many good tips on stock and has always taken care of our well-being. We really enjoyed the time with her.

We were only there for less than 12 hours but communication with the host was superb. Check in was easy especially since we checked around midnight. Breakfast included was a nice touch and they even made us fresh eggs.
