Not sure what activities are available? Let us be your personal concierge. Our services can range to meet your needs. Don’t want to cook while on vacation? Ask about our meal plans! This two-story handcrafted treehouse overlooks ten acres of property. The lower story features private a wraparound deck, perfect for relaxing with a morning cup of coffee, and a cozy indoor sitting area for curling up when the weather turns chilly. The upstairs sleeping nook is surrounded by picture windows, which allows you to stargaze without ever leaving your bed. This space was handcrafted by my family in 2017 with live-edge cedar siding, tongue-and-groove pine walls, and a locally-sourced lodgepole pine staircase. My husband built the main structure and I designed the interior. Our two young daughters helped to cut and measure boards. A lot of love went into creating a private, relaxing environment for our family and our guests.
Our property is very remote. We are located in the forest. There are a few other properties but our real neighbors are the wildlife that we share the forest with. The wildlife is abundant and frequently here on the property. The Bitterroot River is 1.7 miles away to meet all your fly-fishing needs. Hiking and biking trails are endless. This is the ultimate location for summer or winter outdoor recreation.
  • This little treehouse was so lovely, we had a great time!

  • Would definitely stay here again. We enjoyed the rustic feel and how we were disconnected from cell service. There was plenty of things to do (hiking, hot springs, breweries, fishing) but we also just enjoyed reading a book up in the trees. It was a beautiful place for a weekend getaway!

    Jenny2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, clean, fun tree house. You won't regret staying here!

    Dan2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying in the treehouse. It was easy to get to, but pretty remote. We enjoyed the moonlight view from the loft and had fun drinking coffee on the deck. The treehouse itself is gorgeous and modern - a perfect tiny home get away!

Darby is a great small town. It is home to Montana's smallest brewery, antique stores, a world famous hat maker store, the largest candy store in the Northwest, coffee shops, restaurants, and museums and history of Lewis and Clark (they went directly through the town of Darby)! Kids love it here, too! There is a park in the heart of town. There is also a play ground at the school as well as tennis courts and a skate park. All seasons are a great time to visit Darby. The world famous Bitterroot River runs right through town and offers the best fly fishing in the country! We know the best fishing guides in town. Let us book your fishing or float trip! For swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking spending the day on the beach Lake Como is 10 miles away and Painted Rocks Reservoir are the place to go! The hunting locations are too numerous to count but let us help you find a hunting guide. In the winter cross country skiing and downhill skiing locations are world class. Lost Trail Powder Mountain is different from all the other ski resorts. It is not crowded and it is affordable. The powder up there is fantastic. They are open Thursday-Sunday. Chief Joseph has miles of cross country trails. After a day on the mountain, stop by Lost Trail Hotsprings for a soak.
  • VERY clean & so so comfy! We felt right at home & really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

  • This property is a perfect location in Darby, you are just 2 minutes away from main street! The house sits in a perfect location to see wild life and take in the beauty of Darby. This was our first trip to Montana and Cortney's home was like a home away from home. It is a new build with all of the modern touches to include an open kitchen living room floor plan, which was great to spend time together. We absolutely loved everything about our stay! Courtney responded quickly to any questions I had and made us feel completely welcome! We look forward to coming back!

Its location is about 20 to 25 min. from Lost Trail Pass with alpine, groomed and backcountry skiing possibilities. Our 2nd year and we will be back.

  • The little garden cottage was so impressive. Shawna is a very creative person and it shows in every bit of her accommodations. We are so thankful we found this little treasure. The gardens are lovely and even the outside sink and shower etc...were so nicely done. The bed was very comfortable. The location was great for walking to the local restaurants. We definitely recommended staying here.

    Ruth2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Shawna was an amazing host and the garden cottage was awesome. Would highly recommend.

    Amanda2019-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Shawna - You and your place are beyond incredible. David and I had the perfect weekend getaway and I so wish we could have stayed even longer. The cottage is spectacular in every way. It was so clean and so fun...decorated adorably and had all the perfect finishing touches to make the trip so special. From the tea and coffee and cute mugs with saying to lift your spirits to the flowers, garden, outdoor areas and fun outdoor shower! Wow! I cannot find the words to say how much we loved it here. You feel like you could simply just stay at the cottage and never leave - that is a perfect vacation in itself. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside lounging with the fire pit in the evening looking over the garden and being under the decorative lights lining the area. In the morning we enjoyed our coffee sitting on the porch. Even the porta-potty was made to not feel like an outdoor bathroom...special table, magazines, scents, sanitizers, privacy - all of it. The shower was so fun! Being outside and being in nature but yet having privacy...wow, NAILED IT. The decor in the cabin and the comfort of the beds and pillows, etc. It was perfect. You had all the amenities anyone could ask for. And YOU - what a joy to meet. You are so full of life and happiness...your smile and personality radiate everything it takes to do this and have guests enjoy their stay. You truly are doing a remarkable job. We are so appreciative of our stay in Darby. We are sharing your info with everyone and we will be back - that I know! Thank you Shawna!!!!!!

  • Shawna’s place is truly magical! The cabin is loaded with fun touches, and it is surrounded by a lush garden of dozens of different kinds of flowers and vegetables. We loved hanging out on the front porch. Everything inside and out is beautifully maintained, and Shawna is a gracious and knowledgeable host. The location is great, and it’s close to the Montana Cafe, one of the best restaurants in town. Thanks Shawna, we’ll be back!

  • We're still savoring sitting on the front porch of the cottage eating strawberries from we picked from the garden. If we ever need a place to stay in the Bitterroot Valley again it will be here! We were transported out of our hectic everyday lives to the stillness and charm of the cottage and garden. Shawna was just right-there to help but never intrusive. This is place is a special gem. • The cottage is very conveniently located and was one of the coolest little spots I’ve ever stayed. Shawna has a really great collection of vintage pieces throughout the garden and cottage. The garden was a cozy and peaceful place to relax. Communication was easy and check in was really easy. Thank you for a unique experience!

You will enjoy Old Hickory and handmade furniture, original artwork and sculpture pieces throughout the house. You will have full access to our kitchen, dining, living room and deck space. The extra spacious, second-story room is adjacent to a two room bathroom with double sinks and vanity and dressing area in one room and tub/shower and toilet in the other. There is also a guest bathroom at the bottom of the stairs available for guests' use. We pay close attention to maintaining an exceptionally clean accommodation. While we do allow pets on our main floor where hardwood is easy to clean. No pets at any time are allowed on the second floor where your room is carpeted with lush new carpet. We have a rollaway bed with good mattress we can provide for an additional guest.. . There is a $10.00 charge for each additional guest beyond two. Up to two extra are allowed in the room given we have prior notice. This includes children of any age who MUST be declared upon making a reservation. Under certain circumstances, we would allow a third child. You must contact us first, however. No surprises, please and do understand we have a staircase.
IMPORTANT!!!: Our property borders the Bitterroot National Forest. It sustained a forest fire in 2000 in our canyon and you will see evidence of it as well as the re-growth process. We are NOT in tall pines but our mountain views are delightful! This gives a unique advantage to the wildlife observer. It is possible to see herds of elk on the hills just adjacent to our retreat; whitetail and mule deer hang around frequently. Watching a doe nurse her fawn from our back deck or a pair of fawn twins frolicking on the hills or even in our yard is not an unusual occurrence. Lounge in the living room with a pair of binoculars and you might get in some good wildlife sightings. Bird watching is at it's best in an after fire regrowth period. We are within a mile of dense forest. We are located on a quiet and very secluded, one and a half lane National Forest road just one half mile off Hwy 93. For the passionate angler, our location couldn’t be better. You could walk to the East Fork at the Rocky Knob Holes for some serious fly fishing. We are five miles from the confluence of the East and West Forks of the Bitterroot and at the hub of world-class fly fishing. Skiers need to look no further for a cozy, wintertime accommodation. We are seventeen miles from Lost Trail Powder Mountain and just a few more to Chief Joseph Cross-country ski trail system. Enjoy an amazing day on the slopes and then soak in our hot tub under the stars. Our home has three sources of heat to keep you cozy but our wood burning stove supplies the ambiance only wood heat can give. You will be cozy enough to keep your window open at night and hear the creek gurgle under the ice.
  • This place was a gem. Linda went out of her way to make our stay extra accommodating. The hot coffee & breakfast burritos (conveniently, made to go!) in the morning was a very fine touch. We devoured them and felt grateful for the sustenance before a day of snowboarding at Lost Trail. My daughter still talks about the goats she got to spend time with on the property. We really enjoyed the experience overall and the unique stay (i.e. NOT a hotel or basic cabin) because it enriched our weekend getaway experience near Lost Trail. Accommodations, cleanliness, comfort, friendliness of hosts & convenience were all 5 Star in my book!

    Jill2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodations, setting and hospitality are top notch!!! Linda had a wonderful breakfast for us each morning to get our ski day started. The bedroom and bathroom were large and clean. We enjoyed sitting in the hot tub and staring at the stars after a long day of skiing. Also got to play with dogs, so that gets them 5 stars right there😂 My wife and I will definitely stay here again if we are in the area!!!

The only noises we heard were a babbling stream and a horse sniffing in the next field... very relaxing Contains all you need to cook if you wish inc. outdoor BBQ Jeff & Heather provided tea and fresh coffee & filters for a drip machine along with a pot of milk and bottled water in the fridge 👍 This is a unique find and en route to Yellowstone if you are travelling across Montana All the reviews are true and we picked this camper based on all positive great feedback

  • Cabin was great, property was beautiful. Is remote enough but still has everything you need and isn’t unreasonably far from Missoula. Wayne was a super helpful host, responses were always thoughtful and timely. Thanks again!

  • super cute cabin! THE VIEW!!!😍

    Destiny2019-11-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great experience all together. There were times when we would have to wait for deer to get out of the driveway so we could pull in! The hiking out of the back door is also amazing. The co-host Wayne is a great person and I was glad to of had the chance to meet him. The only small drawback is the long dirt road that leads to the Airbnb needs some repair. But if you want a remote location like this Airbnb, it is to be expected.

    Andrew2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • A great space out in the hills of Montana. This little log cabin was perfect for our getaway. We wanted to stay outside of town in the quiet of Montana. The short 20 minute drive to town was perfect when we needed to explore. Great hosts and a clean space. We were able to unplug and relax in this hidden hideaway.

    Jen2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • I went here by my self to work on a project. Looking for peace and quiet, I found it here. It's attached to a larger house but you forget that quickly because of how quiet and separated you are. Drive slowly on the dirt roads, the neighbors don't seem to like anything over 15mph, it's their community, so respect that. The WiFi is satellite, so very slow internet. If you need to stream something, download it first.

    Daniel2019-08-24T00:00:00Z

The Big Red House is a 1500 sq. ft. off-the-grid cabin high in the Sapphire Mountains, providing stunning vistas of the Bitterroot Mountains, Bitterroot Valley, and Skalkaho Valley. Three bedrooms and two baths provide room to comfortably accomodate seven guests. Power is supplied by a roof-mounted solar panel and backup generator, while most of the appliances are propane, allowing for all the comforts of home - completely off the grid.
Solar panels charge the batteries during daylight which supply 110 volts AC power through an inverter for day & night power. However, if we are having a cloudy spell, the batteries may not fully charge. So, power conservation is critical throughout your stay.
Centrally located between Glacier National Park & Yellowstone National Park, and situated forty-five miles south of the scenic college town of Missoula, Hamilton is a picturesque hamlet encapsulated by the Sapphire Mountains to the east, and the Bitterroots to the west. In the summer, hiking trails abound, and Lake Como provides aquatic fun within a fifteen-minute drive. Once the leaves start to change, the hunting grounds of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest and the Big Hole provide an abundance of deer, elk, antelope, and even the occasional bear or moose. In the wintertime, head south to the Lost Trail Ski Area or eastward up Skalkaho for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling . Nestled in hunting district 270, and surrounded by some of the best aquatic and winter playgrounds in the area, the Big Red House is the perfect place to discover your true Montana adventure.
  • This was one of the nicest accommodations we have ever had. The view is really spectacular. The cabin is very spacious inside and really cozy. We were thrilled, it could not be better! We were able to observe 6 deer for a long time directly from the veranda, only 30 meters away. We are very sorry that we booked only one night there. You could stay there for weeks!

    Christian2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • Super nice house. Beautiful area. We just loved it. The view is fantastic! This chalet is super confortable and we had great time there. We highly recommend Jamie's house!

    Lydia2019-08-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wow...that’s the first thing our group of 6 said as we approached the home. Seclusion, solitude and expansive territorial views. The home, albeit off-grid, met all of our needs...we look forward to our next visit!

    Brandon2019-07-28T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie’s big red house was a perfect stop over lodge on our family’s way to Yellowstone National Park. Especially it had very good touches for my young children. They enjoyed the broad pasture land around the cabin and the cute and children friendly beds as well as a scenic lookout from the cabin. Kitchen was well equipped to serve my family’s breakfast. Only thing that we regretted was that we arrived so late and could not enjoy a campfire place at the front garden in which this thoughtul host had prepared firewoods already for us.

    Yongno2019-07-08T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing views! Very private yet it was so convenient. The place was warm and inviting. It sits on acres and acres of land where you can hike and roam. Very quiet and relaxing with all the comforts of home.

  • We had a great time staying here. The hosts were very nice and met with us at check in. The cabin is beautiful and you feel like you are on top of the mountains! We would definitely stay here again. Cabin was very clean and cozy.

This apartment is in one of the beautiful historic buildings in downtown Darby. Vaulted ceilings and large windows allow abundant natural light. The bedrooms are comfortably appointed and the full kitchen is at your disposal. There is also a washer and dryer on the landing that can be used during your stay.
Darby is located at the southern end of the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. We are close to world-class fly fishing on the Bitterroot River, the trails in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness, and Lake Como. If you visit during the cooler months, Lost Trail Ski area is a short 30 minute drive away.
  • Apartment was exactly as advertised. Very clean, set up perfect for our family's needs. Close to eating and other things in town - had it not been winter we would have walked around more. Host was very quick to answer all our questions. He was very thoughtful in the amenities he supplied in case we forgot anything. Kitchen was well stocked for meal prep. Multiple tvs and multiple streaming devices meant my kids didn't have to agree on evening entertainment. We had a truck and parking was no problem, right in front and we could see it from the apartment for remote start in the morning. Would stay here again if we find ourselves back in the area.

  • This apartment is adorable and newly updated. It was cozy and in a great location. There were many special touches that made us feel comfortable and at home. Christian was easy to work with and responded very promptly. We will definitely choose this property again.

  • The 1910 historic building on main street of Darby looks a little run down on the outside but the suite upstairs is spectacular. Everything that a 5 star hotel would provide. The live edge counter tops were so cool and the rooms were spacious. The beds were super comfy and the covers were so nice. Steps from the historic downtown Darby. Definitely stay here again. Thank you.

  • I highly recommend this downtown Darby apartment. This place is far better than the pictures display. It was exceptionally clean and very nice. The apartment was bigger than I was expecting too. It is in the perfect location as well. Directly downtown, walking distance to everything in Darby. Christian was very easy to communicate with and very friendly. I would absolutely stay here again.

  • We loved our stay in the little cabin - Cyndra had it setup for a fire which was perfect for us to sit out by the river and gaze at the stars. It was everything we needed and nothing more. A beautiful little spot - Thanks for having us!

    J.R.2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cyndra's cabin is a great spot. Her son had the campfire lit for us when we arrived and they were very attentive to any needs we had. The description is accurate and the location is gorgeous and cozy.

    Allison2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Really enjoyed my stay in Darby. Cyndra has a great place for guests to camp out behind her property. It backs onto the bitterroot river. So it was really relaxing to sleep next to a rustling river and fire crackling. I also enjoyed the little touches like: firewood included, supply of water, and coffee. The beds were comfortable, albeit in a bunk style configuration..so be mindful of that. Also the road accessing the property my be difficult to traverse if you have a low riding vehicle - so leave the Lamborghini at home. Would recommend!

  • This is a great cabin set right by the river with great options for indoor and outdoor entertainment for groups or families. We even did some family photos right in the yard in front of the river! Lori and her father are incredible - he even came by and checked with us before running his tractor to see if the noise would bother us. They do have dogs and were happy to pen them if needed - but we were fine with them. Seemed like great pups! Lori does a great job of explaining the listing so read her notes and you’ll be good!

  • This is an authentic Montana log cabin! We enjoyed spending our days on the deck watching the river and our dogs loved all of the space to run and play.

  • Lori's cabin was perfect for my group again. Perfect location on the upper Bitterroot, well- appointed cabin, right on the river. We cooked every night, grilled steaks on the deck, and enjoyed a nice fire in the stove each night. Thanks!

Over-sized two-room bath: vanity and dressing area separate from tub/shower/toilet room. Additional half bath. Complementry breakfast. IMPORTANT! Our home borders on the Bitterroot National Forest that sustained a forest fire sixteen years ago. While we are within a mile of dense forest, there is still evidence of the fire around our home. It does allow for considerably more viewing of wildlife. It is not unusual to watch a herd of elk grazing on the hill in front of our home while mule deer hang out around the yard and nurse their young. Hiking opportunities are everywhere. We are within walking distance of some of the best fishing holes in the Bitterroots. Seventeen miles will get you to Lost Trail/Powder Mountain for amazing skiing and thirteen miles is all it take to get to great food in Darby.
  • Very large comfortable rooms, clean and quiet location. Linda is very welcoming and hospitable, she had just made amazing cinnamon rolls when I showed up on a snowy night! You are definitely sharing a family home and there are a couple rowdy dogs but they are well controlled and the upstairs rooms are reasonably private.

  • This was a great getaway. We needed to be in Hamilton for one of our sons' competitions. We opted for Linda's because of the setting and the local activities. It was a great choice. So much to see and do, we ran out of time. The rooms were comfortable and clean, the breakfast was great, and the scenery spectacular. The hospitality and flexibility of the hosts were top notch.

  • What an amazing location! They had the fire pit going as we were checking in (and we came in a later in the evening). They made us feel so welcome, and even shared an extra fishing pole with us! Even though it’s hard work, it’s easy to see how much they enjoy what they’re doing.

    Rj2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • This room and farm with all the amenities was excellent. Was there to explore the area and get away, and with the hot tub, river, and location is allowed for a perfect weekend. I would recommend to anyone.

    Jessica2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was the perfect cozy overnight in the Bitterroots. The space was neat and clean, with all of the convenient touches a traveller in this rural area could need. The comfortable and breezy screened porch isn’t super visible in the listing photos so that was a surprise bonus. We enjoyed the beautiful river frontage and fishing access just steps from the suite, as well as the sunset over the mountains. Could not have asked for a warmer greeting or a nicer place to stay.

  • Tracy was an amazing host. She was very easy to communicate with, allowed us to check in early after a long drive in from out of state, and even gave us tacos one evening for dinner (which were amazing). Tracy went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The TV and satellite went out during our stay and Tracy quickly got ahold of Dish Network to resolve the issue and even brought us up a new TV and a DVD player so we would have something to watch. We sill definitely stay there during our next visit to Montana. Highly recommend this place.

  • Toni and Jason were absolutely incredible hosts! My husband and I stayed in the Cutthroat Cabin at Hannon House for the last leg of our honeymoon and the place was even better than we could have hoped. The town of Darby is great (especially the brewery in town!) and the land the house is on is gorgeous. The river is right near the cabin and the fire pit and hot tub were amazing touches. By far the best part was the hospitality we received from Jason and Toni, it was the best Airbnb experience we have had. We will definitely try to come back again!

The cabin is furnished in a Montana flavor, and sits in a park like setting. It is backed up to the Bitterroot wilderness. Lots of nearby hiking trails are available... Mountain logging roads directly behind property for off-road bicycling and vehicles. Fishing and swimming in rivers and lakes are within 5 miles of cabin. Great flyfishing on the Bitterroot River.
Lots of nearby hiking trails and miles of logging roads into the Bitterroot National Forest just behind the property. Yet, the cabin is located just 15 minutes from Hamilton, Montana, were there are lots of restaurants, theaters and stores...
  • Great place to stay while visiting the Valley. We will be back. Thanks for sharing your lovely cabin.

    Mark2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best cabin and value you can get in the Bitterroot! Hal and Marie were the best hosts! We rented this cabin along with their house for a church women’s retreat. It was perfect! The cabin is furnished tastefully and beautiful with everything you could need. The bathroom in this cabin is gorgeous! The deck outside is so peaceful and the surroundings so beautiful we didn’t want to leave! It is a perfect getaway and a wonderful place to unwind. I can’t say enough good things about the hosts or the cabin! Hal and Marie were quick to respond to all my messages and even supplied my special requests. Thank you for the wonderful stay! We will be back!

  • Outstanding property. Cabin was well appointed, clean, and in a great location. Surrounding area is quiet and very beautiful. Glad I stayed there.

    Rami2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! The cabin and property were wonderful. The pictures don’t do it justice. Hal and Marie were so kind and helpful with events and local hikes. There are great trails super close to the cabin. We loved our hike around Lake Como and dinners/drinks at the Bitter root brewery. We look forward to coming back!

    Stephanie2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Hal and Marie’s cabin a very cozy and quiet place in the mountains in beautiful Bitterroot Valley. We spent some very relaxing days there, hiking different trails, exploring the nearby town of Hamilton and enjoying the Montana scenery and wildlife. The cabin felt like our home away from home and had everything we needed and much more! Hal and Marie are very friendly hosts and gave us great recommendations for hiking and activities in the area! We will definitely come back when the area again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

    Sonja2019-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • Where do I begin? Hal and Marie’s place is the quintessential Montana experience: Cozy log cabin in the woods, tucked up against the Bitterroot Mountains. We came here with a list of actives planned but didn’t want to leave this lovely spot. From the front porch which looks over an impeccable kept landscape, to the cozy living room, comfortable bedroom and spacious bathroom to the well-appointed kitchen, everything we could possibly have wanted in a place to stay, was included. The first evening here we were greeted by one of the mountain thunderstorms I loved so much as a kid growing up in Montana so I sat on the porch and just watched. Internet is available and although I lost cell service coming in, once I got to the cAbin my signal was good. Unfortunately, I got very sick the second night of my stay but Marie was so kind to offer to let me check our later the next day, which was such a blessing! Hal And Marie are wonderful hosts and I will definitely try to stay here again the next time I come to the Bitterroot Valley.

    Kimberley2019-06-15T00:00:00Z
  • BEAUTIFUL! It was like staying in an elfin forest! The hosts stocked the cabin with every necessity one could think of and many you don’t. It was super comfortable, beautiful, warm and homey. Hal and Marie could not have been better or kinder hosts. On our way to the cabin the electricity went off all over the area in every town up and down 93. When we arrived at the cabin they were there with solutions for all the electrical issues one would face. They had flashlights, lanterns, candles, and the most important thing a way to charge our phones! Luckily the electricity came back in about an hour and all was well. But it was the fact that in the midst of the problem Hal and Marie were so willing to help in any and every way. You will not be disappointed if you have the opportunity to stay with Hal and Marie!

  • Rachel is a great hostess who cares about her guests. Her place is quite rustic but nice. Not fancy but comfortable and cozy. Since there aren’t many state road signs it can be a bit difficult to find at night. There is a small Airbnb sign near the road. There is very poor cellular service in the area which makes using your cellphone gps apps useless. You’ll need to drive to Conner in order to have phone service.

  • We were traveling through the area late at night and struggled with finding a place to stay. Rachel was extremely accommodating and responsive to our request. The home was very clean and comfortable...exactly what we needed!

  • The area is so peaceful and it was a comfortable home with great games and activities that helped with the kids. We really enjoyed our stay!

Get away from the crowds! Get out in nature. This is the safest place to be right now! This is the ultimate destination for social distancing. Rustic, remote one room cabin. Private bath. Wood burning fireplace. Gorgeous forest views. Adorable private deck with seating. Full size bed with comfortable mattress. Please read entire listing and rules carefully. We love having guests bring pets but do charge a small fee. $10 per pet per night.
This adorable 100 year old cabin sits on 10 beautiful acres of forested land, bordering Forest Service land so guests can enjoy hundreds of acres at your fingertips. The Bitterroot National Forest has great opportunities for outdoor recreation. There is hiking, biking, hunting, fishing and many many more options. There are ski resorts near by as well as hot springs! The cabin is rustic. It is also adorable and private. There is a private shower, toilet and sink in the cabin. Coffee maker with coffee, full size electric stove/oven, toaster, mini-fridge, pots/pans, and dishes are all provided. Guests can light a fire in the fireplace and enjoy the ambiance. On a clear night the starts are plentiful and breathtaking. Private deck with seating is a great place to stargaze or enjoy your morning coffee. There is a possibility of being able to accommodate additional guests. There will be a $10 charge for each guest beyond two (with a maximum of 2 additional guests). This includes children. Please let us know a head of time if you are bringing children. We have a portable crib available.
Corber Cabin is very remote. We are located in the forest. There are a few other properties but our real neighbors are the wildlife that we share the forest with. The wildlife is abundant and frequently here on the property.
  • Terrific little cabin with all the necessities you would need. Great property and area. A wonderful little disconnect from the world for a night for my wife and I. We made great friends with the sweet outside cat living there. Would definitely book again sometime.

  • Clean, cozy cabin. Will be back again for sure.

    Michael2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Corber Cabin was a wonderful getaway for my husband and I as we celebrated our anniversary. We got to read (so much reading that’s been neglected!) next to the fire and make home cooked meals. We even went snowshoeing with the help of our lovely hosts. And the outdoors cat who checked in on us was truly the best part!

    Rain2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was absolutely amazing. We loved having complete isolation from the outside world. No phones or television. It was great to disconnect and focus on the outdoors and good company. A little bit of advice I have is to bring groceries to make a great homemade meal and enjoy some wine.

    Eric2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is amazing! I would absolutely recommend to anyone wanting to escape reality and get lost in the beautiful national forest this mystical little cabin is in!

    Dusty2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was in the great condition, Cortney is an amazing host and everything was much better than I expected! I would highly recommend everyone to check it out and I will be back in the future! Thank you!

You’ll love my place because of the rustic feel of a large log home in the woods. The views off the back deck are spectacular. Wildlife sightings are abundant. Come and unplug. Cell phone coverage is good but no wifi. The house is located on a gravel road about 1 mile off the paved road. 4WD would be helpful in the winter. Approx. 30 minutes to Lost Trail Ski Resort. Can hike right outside the house. Good for couples, families (with kids), and big groups.
  • Clean house with plenty of space and a great view!

    Ryan2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • The pictures of the house doesn't do it justice, it is so amazing up on top of a hill with beautiful views

    Ryan2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This was one of the best Airbnb’s we have stayed at. The cabin is beautiful, large and well equipped. The photos of the inside and outside do not adequately capture the beauty of this place. It was even better in person! Excellent value and no suggestions for improvement. Highly recommend a stay at this place, and we hope to return!!

    Bronwyn2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Great location close to town, but you feel you are deep in the natural surroundings.

    Shawn2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful log house with maxing views. Worked great for our large group. It was very relaxing. We loved all the porches. Close to town but it felt very secluded. Highly recommend this house!

The Sapphire Getaway is in the beautiful west foothills, only 3 miles from the center of town. This a wonderful place to stay because of the incredible peace and quiet, forested beauty, wildlife, and proximity to town and mountains at the same time ! If apartment is booked, please check out our Hamilton Hideaway. Each apt. Is One dog friendly, with notice, $10 daily pet fee, review rules prior to booking. Please note, for security, your profile picture should be you, not an icon, pet or avatar.
Some particulars important to know are that the Sapphire Getaway is a one room Studio Apartment, originally part of a larger shop, so the bathroom area has a shower and toilet, while the sink is part of the kitchenette. The cooking equipment in the kitchenette consists of a large countertop, Microwave, Induction Burner, Toaster Oven, Electric Skillet, Coffee Pot, Electric Teapot, and all accessories, plus coffee, tea, cocoa, popcorn, etc. There is a small floor standing frig, which can hold a bit more than a counter frig. It has a separate freezer. Long term stay has use of laundry facility in main house, coordinate for times. Wifi in apartment. TV is video only, some provided, Red Box and video store in town. If you have your own cord needed to connect your computer to the TV, you may access your own online accounts for TV streaming. Roll away bed for third guest has memory foam mattress pad plus extra, so it is very comfortable. If there are more than 2 guests, you may need to time your hot water use a bit, as the electric hot water heater may need a little time in between showers, however no complaints from prior guests! Separate picnic area for guests next to the apartment, with table and chairs, and great views! If you are looking for an activity, I host an Airbnb experience, Tango On! A Taste of Argentine Tango ! It is a 1 1/2 hour private beginner lesson..Schedule online, or ask me for information.
We are located on the West Side of the Bitterroot Valley, known for our beautiful forests, nestled against the mountains. We have a surprise breakout view at the end of the lane, showing off the southern end of the valley, after coming down a lane, flanked with our native pines. Turkey and deer are a constant here, so drive slowly for safety and the view. Keep an eye out for the occasional moose or elk. At night, be sure to get outside and enjoy the spectacular view of the Milky Way, and listen for the hoot of the owls and croaking of the bullfrogs in conversation. Then drop off to sleep in one of the quietest places ever, it's been called the Last Best Place. Montana. By the way, we have an extremely safe neighborhood !

A rustic, quiet get away perfect for a couple's retreat, hunting, fishing, or skiing vacation. Located on a dirt road with mountain views but close enough to walk to town. Private entrance and patio area to relax after a day in God's country. Walk through working woodshop to access hand-crafted bathroom.
We are located in a small, quiet neighborhood up the hill and just outside of town. There is some traffic and the woodshop is in active use throughout the day. There are some shared spaces and interactions with people who make use of the shop. The Bear Den was added on as a guest room in 2015. It is custom built and beautifully detailed by Max Fiedler.
  • I was very happy with my experience at Bear Den. It was beautiful, peaceful and clean. The experience was fantastic, I would definitely refer this place to anyone. I was for sure considered returning for another trip.

    Ireland2019-06-23T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cozy place to stay. The bed up in the loft is VERY comfortable and makes the place very homey. Will definitely stay here again next visit.

    Ryan2019-05-31T00:00:00Z
  • The Bear's Den was an amazing retreat! The setting, on a bench above Darby, is absolutely beautiful. Max and Taylor were wonderful hosts! The space itself has been very thoughtfully designed and the loft set up makes it feel roomy. Access to the bathroom is through a shop, and the bathroom is well equipped. I highly recommend this place if you need a tranquil base from which to explore some beautiful mountains and streams!

    Tim2018-10-21T00:00:00Z
  • If you're looking for a great place out in the country with stellar views of the Bitterroot Mountains, look no further! Max's Bear Den is absolutely stellar! And he built it himself! While Darby may not be what most consider a destination location, the town is quiet and unassuming. Perfect environment to unwind after a long day on the job. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect spot to relax and breathe some fresh mountain air. Slept like a bear in hibernation. Finally, Max is the nicest guy you could ever hope to meet. Quintessentially Montanan! Mild mannered, kind, total salt-of-the-earth type. When I get around to exploring the Magruder, I will absolutely be booking another stay at the Bear Den. Check this place out! It's worth it!
