    Rachel2020-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing house, very zen and decorated with great taste. A perfect vacation house for me and my boyfriend looking to spend a calm weekend outside of nyc. Located in city center with cute shops and restaurants. Joseph was also amazing in coming mid stay to help put up new blinders when they accidentally fell. He also provided very helpful local tips, really taking the time and care to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Can’t recommend this place enough!

    Danielle2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Joseph was a wonderful host! Quick responses, very flexible with our uncertain arrival times due to our work schedules- the place was clean and we felt very comfortable! Would love to return!

  • Clean and cozy space. Perfect for our night after skiing to rest and do it again the next morning.

    Matthew2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Highly recommend Marc and Joe's place! It was right on the main street and close to many Catskill attractions. They took the time to outline many things to do in the area and leave pamphlets in the apartment with detailed information. Not to mention, their response time was lightening fast when we had questions. The apartment itself was very clean and organized with a few added touches to make us feel at home. They outlined exactly what we should expect upon arrival, but I can confidently say that those expectations were absolutely exceeded.

  • This little studio apartment is great for 1 person or a couple for a quick weekend getaway. We stayed here to escape the city during the pandemic. The only thing we were surprised by (and this is my fault for not reading the amenities list more carefully) is that there wasn't a kitchen. We were hoping to cook, but had a delicious meal at the Mediterranean Bistro just up the street! Right after we departed Catskill, all of the restaraurants / bars were closing, so timing worked out in our favor...

    Sarah2020-03-16T00:00:00Z
  • Sparkling clean, comfortable, cozy in a great location. You can both hit Catskills and Hudson in a weekend. Claw foot soaking tub, small fridge, microwave, french press, china plates and coffee cups - all you need for a long weekend. Great host.

    Abi2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely space ON main street! So many good restaurants nearby and cute things to do a short drive away. So clean and Caitlin was so quick to respond to any questions we had. Can't recommend enough.

    Julie2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • The Terrace was just as described. Our host was very communicative and made check-in/check-out seamless. We very much enjoyed our stay!

    Lauren2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely place! Beautiful decor. Great hosts, very responsive. Great location.

    Tim2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • The Terrace room is a small but comfortable accommodation and quite private. The bed was fine, the kitchenette provided everything I needed. There was a water heater, a french press, and a mini-fridge, as well as a small sink to wash the provided dishes. If there is something you need that isn't there, Caitlin is a simple text away. I don't know for certain whether the small microwave was put there at my request or whether it's standard (a different room didn't have one), but if you need one, just let her know when you book. The bathroom was sparkling and soap is provided in both the bathroom and kitchenette. Extra supplies (towels, TP, paper towels and the like) are available in the front of the house and a key is provided for access to that. It was a comfortable week that I spent there and, were I to go back to Catskill, I would return to the Catskill House.

    Marc2020-01-17T00:00:00Z
  • Caitlin’s place was clean and private. It’s a perfect getaway spot for a couple or close friends. We loved the town and all of the restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay at Caitlin’s place again.

  • Everything was really great. Easy to access. Super clean and cute. Bed linens and towels were lovely. Dinner at Le Perche. Hike at Diamond Notch. Drinks at a divey tiki bar around the corner. All good fun. Definitely recommend a visit.

  • Sue’s place was amazing! The location , cleanliness and overall ambiance. If you are looking for a relaxing place to stay in upstate New York that is close to everything but still quiet , this is perfect place for you. I will definitely be back.

    Jamie2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • I would book it again in a heartbeat. The best compliment I think I can give when reviewing any stay is saying that it met my expectations. Staying at Sue’s place was exactly what I was hoping for. The bonus was how how good of a host and person she is (nice small touches, great communication and very reasonable). If you’re interested, I wouldn’t hesitate to book, you won’t be disappointed.

    Phil2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Very cute, clean apartment! Walking distance to restaurants and a nice brewery. Loved the eggs and croissants that were left for us!

    Elayna2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Clean and cozy spot. Sue was easy to reach and gave us suggestions of what do in the area. Would stay there again.

    Vanessa2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place was perfect for the brief stay my wife and I had in Catskill. We had a long drive to get to Catskill and then a long round-trip drive the next day, so we needed a relaxing, warm, cozy place to recover and rest. Sue’s place fit the bill perfectly. Immaculate, tastefully decorated, in a quiet locale, easy to get to (and great communication by Sue) helped to make our stay enjoyable and relaxing.

    Michael2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was extremely communicative. She left cute little gifts like artisan soap, eggs, coffee and muffins for the morning, and helpful little brochures for out of town tourists. The rooms were very clean and spacious, and she supplied a space heater for extra warmth that is sometimes needed in older houses. The place was well lit and furnished tastefully. High water pressure in the shower was greatly appreciated by stinky hikers! There was even a washer and drying in the building. The apartment building was peacefully quiet. A nice stay, thoughtful host. Highly recommended!

    Siobhan2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay with Sue. We went over Christmas and spend the holidays there. We had everything we possibly could need. She responded quickly to questions, had farm fresh eggs in the Fridge for us, Croissants and Muffins. A hand made bar of soap in the Bath. Everything was sparkling clean. Plenty of Towels, Shampoo and Conditioner etc. Would come again any time.

    Vera2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Sue was a gracious host and the apartment was exactly what we were looking for. Amazing stay!

  • Laura was so nice. The space is gorgeous. It’s a perfect place to restore and relax. The goats were so cute and so was the land. Thank you so much Laura. If you’re thinking about this place, BOOK IT!

    Youmie2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • Wish we could have stayed longer but we will definitely be back! Laura is such a great host and we had such a relaxing trip. The propane stove was so nice for the cold weather and it was perfect for a romantic weekend!

    Heather2019-11-05T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had an absolutely magical stay on Laura’s property. If you’re looking for an easy, unique, and fun escape from city life, this is your place. We can’t wait to visit again.

    Josh2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • Laura's property is a charming, relaxing place. We enjoyed our stay at the Stargazer, tucked between the trees. There is lots to explore on the property - for us, the highlight was befriending the goats. Laura is a welcoming, thoughtful host. Loved the weekend getaway and look forward to the next one!

    Andreea2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was the perfect space to spend the weekend and to get away from the city. Recharge in the quiet and enjoy the land that is Gather Wild! Laura was amazing and very responsive and helpful with tips around town and everything. My dog loved it too. It was everything I had hoped for.

    Christine2019-10-22T00:00:00Z
  • It was such a great experience. The best Airbnb couple ever ! We only stayed one night and wished we could’ve stayed for a week ! We will definitely be back again for summer time and will stay much longer !

    Georgeann2019-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • This little “glamping” experience is so unique and fun! Gatherwild takes all the guess work out of camping for those who are inexperienced. My suburban self and city slicker boyfriend were able to start a fire with ease with the use of the fire pit, wood pile and cardboard pieces left for our use. The grounds and our site “The Stargazer” was spotless, chic and full of style! It was the perfect fall romantic getaway. I especially loved the goofy goats on the property that followed me to and from the outdoor potty. The potty by the way was super clean and cute! I can’t recommend this spot enough.

    Jill2019-10-14T00:00:00Z

    Germantown, NY, United States

Situated on a quiet country road just 15 minutes from Hudson, this free-standing guest house was renovated in 2019 and furnished with new, high quality mattresses as well as local, vintage pieces and art. During your stay you are welcome to explore the farm, hike throughout 80 wooded acres, or take a dip in the stream or our spring fed pond.
Our two bedroom guesthouse is located on the second floor of a converted barn, originally built in the 1940's. Churchtown and the surrounding area is beautiful but rural and cell connection can be poor, depending on your provider. We offer a wifi hotspot for guests that reliably delivers email and web browsing but video conferencing can be choppy and big file downloads can slow. The east bedroom is appointed with blackout honeycomb shades. Note that the kitchen has a large convection oven that doubles as a microwave instead of a standard sized oven. The stovetop is electric and has four burners.
We are 2 miles down the road from the Churchtown Dairy, where you can see the cows milked at 4pm every day. We are a 12 minute drive from Hudson, great coffee shops, bars, antiques and restaurants. Lake Taghkanic state park is less than 10 minutes away with boat rentals, swimming and a concession stand. Last but not least, the beautiful Bash Bish waterfall hike is just 30 minutes away.
  • Great hosts, good location, comfortable stay. We cook, and are suckers for a functional kitchen. Love that center island. The range is electric, and the "oven" is a convention microwave, but we still enjoyed it. Could comfortably sleep two couples, though we had the place to ourselves.

    James2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Caitlin’s place, nice neighborhood, very clean and quiet. :)

    Jie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment is very charming and comfortable. The property is amazing! Beautiful trails in the woods for our morning hikes. Close to Hudson. The hosts left suggestions for things to do, including Churchtown Diary farm which was super fun to visit with our 4.5 yr old. He loved watching the cows getting milked and seeing all the chickens and pigs. Great getaway from NYC!

    Elena2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely loved our time here and would stay here again. We loved that we were able to bring our small dogs with us. The beds were the best....comfy and the sheets were luxe. Lots of lovely touches around like in the kitchen and bathroom. and the space is tranquil.

    Faith2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • It was great spending a long weekend at Caitlin's place! Very clean, plenty warm in the winter, and stylish place. Scott came to greet us when we arrived by car and gave us a brief tour of the place. The fridge was stocked with fresh eggs & cream and plenty of cooking utilities for the electric stove. Very communicative prior to arrival. Highly recommended!

    David2020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • Our weeklong stay on Caitlin's charming farm was the highlight of my Airbnb year - the farmhouse space was warm, cozy and perfectly decorated, and I extra appreciated the plush pillows, custom art and premium sheets. Caitlin and Scott were super welcoming and responsive hosts, as well. It was wonderful to be able to take such a calming vacation away from the city and to be able to bring our pup. Thanks again!

    Meghan2019-12-30T00:00:00Z
  • The place is a great for a weekend away. Beautiful location on a farm and plenty of space for 3-4 people. The kitchen is really big so great for bigger dinners. Plenty of activities and restaurants around as well.

    Daniel2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Caitlin and Scott's place for our anniversary weekend. Their guest apartment was super cozy and had everything we needed for cooking a few of our meals in the space. Caitlin and Scott left us some fresh eggs and milk and had excellent recommendations for things to do during our stay- we loved the Churchtown Dairy cow milking tour, walking around their property, and our dinner at Gaskins.

    Olga2019-09-30T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time staying on a boat like this & loved it! AJ was really friendly & helpful at check in & recommended some restaurants in town (a few mins drive away). The weather was beautiful so we sat with a takeaway soaking up the sun & admiring the view. There was the cutest family of ducks on the water which kept us entertained! At night it was lovely to sit & watch the stars. Great experience :)

  • had an excellent time and the place truly felt like a home away from home. Its a nice spacious yet small apartment right in the beautful town. I felt like i was in the middle of a hallmark movie while staying. The farm fresh eggs and soft croissants left were even more icing on the cake. Definitely a place i will keep on hand and look forward to staying at again in the future.

  • Sue’s place is perfect. It’s near all the restaurants and cafes in town and close to many hiking options. The apartment is a neat, clean space.

    David2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • This small apartment is a good option for a couple. The host leaves little gifts for you froM their farm, which makes it feel more like home. This is a budget friendly stay, and as such expect a smaller space (especially small shower) on the second floor. However, it was tastefully updated with a very efficient design and a full sized refrigerator, stove etc. I would definitely recommend!

    Kelly2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Small space. Great location and town, and surrounding towns

    Franco2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • Truly enjoyed our stay here. Sue even left us fresh eggs from a local farm and croissants to enjoy for breakfast. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

    Daphne2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Sue’s place was perfect for our stay. Her place was clean and she was responsive to our questions. I would recommend her place if you need a place to stay in the area.

  • Location was perfect for a wedding at Catskill Point. Easy drive to hikes, Hudson and Olana! Walking distance to explore Catskill. Thanks for the croissants, eggs, and soap!

  • Right in the heart of Catskills! Parking was a tad rough since it’s street parking. But other than that great place if you want to hike, just a short ride to some great hikes. Sketchy building at first, but then when you walk into the room, it’s beautiful! Welcomed with fresh croissants and farm fresh eggs and goats milk soap!! Great touches!!!

  • What a magical place!! It was the perfect and most spectacular space to spend an evening in the outdoors. We enjoy nature and I wanted to choose something that combined our love for camping with some luxury, this was the perfect fit! Laura was extremely accommodating, responded quickly and left us fresh flowers in our tent from her garden. Highly recommended!!!

  • Great for families! We stayed in Firefly with our 2 young boys and were all very comfortable. We were welcomed by a beautiful tent and plenty of extra blankets and comforters for the chilly nights. Beautiful property with great amenities. Can't wait to come back, we all had the best time!

    April2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Place was cozy and comfortable yet peaceful and quiet. Laura welcomed us in her home to use the shower and yoga space. Look forward to coming back with more people! Great grounds to explore!

    Britt2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • We had a beautiful, cozy fall stay at the ranch. The bed was super comfy and warm (despite the cold weather), and we appreciated that there was firewood provided for us to have fires. The little touches in the tent and around the property were so thoughtful and cute. We loved eating at Otto’s Market in Germantown, as well as checking out some of the breweries in the area. Overall we had a great stay and hope to return!

    Alex2019-10-06T00:00:00Z
  • Laura's property was the most magical escape from reality that I ended up booking an extra night because I couldn't bear to leave! My little old lady dog and I stayed in the Stargazer the first night and the Firefly the second night. Stargazer is v. convenient to toilet/shower/kitchen, but remote enough to feel alone. Firefly was the farthest from things, but private, on a hill and the view of the valley/moon/stars was unbelievable. Both tents/yurts were clean, thoughtfully decorated and stocked with all the essentials: bug spray, matches, a big dispenser of water, playing cards, books and an army grade wool blanket for the chilly night. The rooms feel like boutique luxury hotel rooms - the beds and blankets were super comfortable. It rained my first night which was beyond dreamy sleeping while the raindrops pelted the tent and I didn't notice any wetness when I woke up! Yes, there are bugs around and yes, you use the bathroom in a compost toilet stall (which was not at all as terrible as it sounds), but it was part of the fun of the experience. The solar powered outdoor shower is highly recommended on a hot day! I ended up cooking most meals at the communal kitchen which was also surprisingly well-stocked with tools/pans/plates/cups etc. It was fun chatting with the other guests while cooking/eating. The property is also conveniently located near some cute towns if you/your group needs some non-glamping time.

    Erin2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Laura’s place is located conveniently away from the city but far enough to see some amazing stars on a clear night. Wrestle yourself out of bed like my wife did for some incredible views. The atmosphere at the ranch is very laid back, welcoming and filled with lots of things to explore around the house. My wife and I had a great time and would always think about coming back when traveling through the area.

    Thomas2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Really great place and nicely out together tent. This was our first "glamping" experience and really enjoyed it. Was perfect way to introduce our 3yr old to camping and the tent also had room for a pack n play for our 1yr old. Overall great, and would come back again.

    Sammy2019-09-07T00:00:00Z
  • Really great stay at Gatherwild ranch. My husband and I are from Brooklyn and this was the perfect getaway for us. Loved the outdoor experience- cooking with fresh veggies, starting our own fire pit buy our tent, the modern and chic yurt, and the cute goats! A truly unique and fun experience.

Small house in the middle of the woods with easy access to hiking trails, world class rock climbing( Shoungunks), skiing and a lot more for outdoor enthusiast. Also if you wont get away from hustle and bustle this place is for you because you will hardly see other person if you stay here.
  • Very clean. Exactly as shown in the photos. It was rainy and chilly out all weekend but the fireplace was kept us so warm. Lovely nature walks in the area. Very cozy atmosphere at this cabin.

    Vanessa2020-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our stay at Home Alone. The cabin was super cozy with a wood stove and heated floors. It also had pretty great WiFi for the middle of the woods. No neighbors in sight made for a very private, peaceful trip. It was remote but not too far away from food and a grocery store (about 15-20 minute drive). There were some excellent hiking trails in the area, but the cabin and property are lovely enough to just stay put and relax for a spell, especially with the all-weather porch so you can sit outside any time of the year! We would definitely recommend this cabin for your next woodsy adventure.

    Jessica2020-03-19T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin was very cozy - warm, fitting and still spacious being that I am 6 feet. Pretty much everything was provided - we had everything that we needed for a romantic getaway. Would definitely come again!

  • Dariusz’s place was absolutely perfect! The cabin is just like the photos. It’s a perfect secluded place and close to nature. Would definitely stay again!

    Bryana2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful little cabin about a half hour drive outside of Woodstock. The pictures don't do it justice. The space is very thoughtfully laid out, compact but not claustrophobic, with the loft and heated floors being definite highlights. You can see the road, but besides that it's very secluded. Just me and my partner stayed here, but I think you could comfortably fit four if you squeezed. Excellent space, thank you!

    Ryan2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Dariusz’s place was clean, cozy and secluded just as we expected. It has everything you could need and even a little bit more. We had an amazing relaxing weekend and looking forward to coming back during warmer months. P.S- Our urban kids enjoyed the woods and chopping the firewood. Waking up in the morning, and going for a morning stroll. Leaving the house with excitement, we had enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in Dariusz’s place.

    Maria2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny cozy apartment perfect for two. Amenities mentioned were provided, as well as sufficient cooking basics for up to 4 people. Wood is provided for the firestove but for a fee. Most of the wood chunks were a bit big for the firestove, we didn't have anything to cut them down but on the last day we discovered there was an axe tucked above. The house is hidden behind trees so you have seclusion but there are neighbors near by. They string up lights outside so makes it easy to spot at night. Check in was easy, I liked that it was a key pad door so I didn't have to worry about holding onto keys. The heated floors really helped. It worked in the bathroom, kitchen/living room but we didn't feel it in the bedroom floor but the firestove really heated the entire house well.

    Jennifer2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • This is exactly what I needed when I was looking for the coziest place in the woods! It is very clean, very snug, loved the fire place (kept the place very hot!), quiet, excellent wifi / smart tv services, and so relaxing. The whole process was so easy from checking in to checking out and a lot of things were provided at the cabin like filtered water, lighters and wood for fire, a grill outside, paper towels, kitchen stuff, and much more. I read a lot of comments about the heated floors which were not in the description but was a very pleasant surprise! I love to walk around in my bare feed but they get cold often, not once were my feet cold and you can't tell how fabulous it is until you step onto a small part of the floor which isn't heated and realize how cold it is! So a major plus! Food options were far away but we came with groceries and grilled outside or cooked inside and we loved it. Thanks!

  • Caitlin's place is amazing. The place is so cozy and the design and touches to the place are beautiful. There is a bathtub so it was nice to be able to take a bath after a long day of snowboarding. I would definitely stay there again!

    Fred2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This place is beautiful! It’s centrally located in Catskill so getting to Hudson is super quick and easy. Driving to the mountains is also easy and Jeannette and Caitlin gave some great recommendations for hikes! The bed is super comfy, the space is clean and cozy. One of my favorite parts of the trip was taking a bubble bath in the claw foot tub after a hike :) When I left my keys in the room by accident Caitlin was quick to get back to me and helped me back in. If you want to spend a few days in a peaceful, beautiful town this spot is perfect ! Thanks so much again!

  • This place is a MUST STAY! It is in the perfect location near the water, restaurants, bars, and local stores. The hosts are an amazing duo they answer messages right away, give great local tips, and provide a safe/clean listing. To anyone worried about the “upstairs noise” noted in many other reviews, there truly is not much. It is footsteps because this apartment is the bottom one. However it was not disturbing at all. This is also the safest I have ever felt in an Airbnb listing. If you are looking, stop here and book now!

  • Gorgeous rental right on Main Street! Incredibly comfortable bed and stylish room. Super responsive host. 10/10 recommend!

Enjoy a quiet respite from the city in this architect-designed tiny house overlooking a meadow, deep in the woods. Located on 20 acres of land with private trails and Catskill-mountain views, this bespoke cabin feels blissfully far away from everything, yet it’s only a 15-minute drive from vibrant city of Hudson, NY. Experience a peaceful off-the-grid retreat —complete with hand-crank Victrola. Time moves slower here. The sky is closer. The stars, brighter. Note: NO electricity. NO Running water
The setting is intimate, serene, secluded. Clerestory windows contribute to a sculptural play of light against gently angled, hand-plastered walls. Downstairs: A bold, vintage-inspired ceramic tile floor, a wood-burning stove, and a bay window with a window seat for long, lazy afternoons of reading. Upstairs: the loft bedroom features wide, white-washed pine floors, a comfortable full-size bed and hand-crafted cabinets. Savor the pleasures of camping, of being close to nature, while experiencing the comforts of an idiosyncratic, beautifully designed abode. The cabin is well insulated, thus stays cool in the summer and warms up quickly in the winter. The cabin comes with a supply of drinking water. Cooking can be done indoors, on the wood-burning stove, or outside, on the Weber grill. Plenty of firewood (walnut, harvested from the property) awaits you. An outhouse toilet is sited about 200 yards away from the cabin. There is NO electricity and NO running water. If there is snow the drive is not plowed so the cabin is only accessible by parking at the end of the driveway and hiking to the cabin. This is approximately a 400 yard walk in the snow so bring boots or snow shoes and wear a backpack to get your supplies to the cabin!
The Hudson River, and boat launch for canoes and kayaks, is just a 20-minute walk or 3 minute drive away. The Stockport Creek, a conservation area, is even closer. In the opposite direction are trails on hundreds of acres that are protected and owned by Scenic Hudson. Fishing: There are striped bass and large mouth bass under the Stockport Creek bridge and under the Amtrack bridge, where the Stockport Creek feeds into the Hudson River.

    Kseniya2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This was such a unique experience. I spent a of couple days at the cabin. Cut wood and newspaper were left for making fires. There was more than enough equipment there to be self sufficient. Also a 15 minute drive into town if you are looking to be social!

    Dakota2020-03-11T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly what my partner and I were looking for. A quiet weekend in the woods to just be. Loved not having electricity and using candles at night. The surrounding property is full of magic. Awaken in a plush queen-sized bed to this welcoming, light-filled studio suite. Spacious, with an open floor plan, hardwood floors, vaulted ceilings, and many large windows which showcase the gorgeous forest and mountain views. A custom timber-framed shower adds unique charm.
Spacious, recently updated 800 square foot studio suite. Open floor plan with vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and lush views from every window. Property sits at the base of a mountain and is surrounded by 1000's of acres of protected DEP forests. We provide high quality, 100% cotton bed linens & towels and pride ourselves upon keeping the guest suite impeccably clean.
The studio is located in Willow, one of the hamlets of Woodstock, on a scenic road with very little traffic. Take a stroll at sunset down our street and enjoy some of the most beautiful mountain views around. It’s a short drive to Phoenicia.
  • This spot was just what I needed for a quiet writing retreat. Chase and Liz provided a desk chair, the view was beautiful (inside and out), and there were unexpected delights like a tea box and a fireplace that turned on automatically when the heat started to drop. My only critique is the sliding glass door going out to the balcony (second floor) was broken, which made me uncomfortable as I'm used to locking my doors at night. Several of the slats on the vertical blinds were broken as well. Other than that, it was just lovely.

    Trevor2020-03-21T00:00:00Z
  • Chase and Liz were incredible hosts. The space surpassed our expectations. Beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We enjoyed our stay even more than we expected. Already planning on returning or visiting one of their other properties :)

    Yesenia2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Absolutely beautiful! The design was lovely, sitting by the gas fire place curled up with one of their many extra soft blankets, and watching the sun setting over the beautiful mountains was absolutely amazing. The studio is detached from the main house, but above a garage or working studio, so you’ll hear the hosts when they are in that area, but otherwise it’s completely quiet. I love that it’s so near Woodstock and all the amazing food and shipping there. I would definitely book again!

    Christine2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • This place was exactly what my boyfriend and I needed and more! We were looking to find a cute place in Catskill Mountains to get away from all the chaos in the city and this was definitely what we got. Chase included so many nice touches such as having an abundance amount of toiletries, fresh towels, so many options for body soap and even shampoo. All we had to do was just bring ourselves, some clothes and head down here literally! The decor of the studio was seriously to die for and don’t even get me started with the fireplace (OH MY)... this fireplace was the highlight of our mini weekend getaway because we had the luxury of enjoy a wine bottle and watching some Netflix during the night! The shower area was my most favorite because it had an open concept layout and was just the coolest thing ever. The location even was amazing with beautiful scenery and it was close to a downtown area called Woodstock! We were able to venture out to Woodstock and have a walk and even came by a liquor store that offers wine tastings on Saturdays (major plus!!!) My boyfriend and I were truly obsessed with this Airbnb and we hope to come back very soon! Thank you Chase for providing such great service and for sharing this beautiful spot with us!

    Marilyn2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Couldn’t have asked for a better experience !!! Place was perfect, clean, comfortable, close to Woodstock, not far from hunter mountain, perfect location. Definitely would recommend this place to anybody visiting the area

    Will2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Warm, cozy, bright, and cheerful. This was the perfect quick getaway from the city. The space was exactly as pictured and was perfect for a relaxing mini retreat. The space being heated by a gas stove made to look like a wood stove was super cute and cozy, the shower area was unique and artful (creates from reclaimed wood and such) and situated in an interesting location in the space. The creek right outside was a perfect view with so many windows looking out towards the trees and mountains. I definitely plan to return!

    Shoshana2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

Our converted shipping container cabin has a wood stove, sofa bed, kitchenette, writing desk, record player, patio, fire ring, yoga platform, 30-foot waterfall and a hammock. It is pet-friendly, off-grid, with solar power, a compost toilet and gravity-feed water. It sits on 20 acres and is two hours north of NYC. You can hike the Catskills out the back door or get to a trailhead, Woodstock, Kingston, Saugerties, Catskill or the Hudson River in 15 minutes.
We love weekending in our 20-foot shipping container. It is not like living in a house or a hotel room or a glamping tent. It is like camping, except that you are encased in high-efficiency insulated walls and low-energy windows—and sleeping on a comfortable queen-size (Ikea Friheten) sofa bed. If it's cold outside (with the stove it's always warm inside) we usually leave the bed out and lounge around drinking coffee. If it's warm, we leave the double doors open and lounge around the patio. (Lots of lounging...) The sink in the cabin is slate. The two-burner propane stove is Eureka. There is no refrigerator; there is a cooler for your ice and perishables. There are enough pots/pans/basics to cook whatever you want. (Yes, we have a coffee grinder.) There is a grill over the fire and a Dutch oven, and we often cook there. The wood stove is Swedish and stays warm all night if you know how to build a fire. If you don't, you'll be up at 4am lighting it again. (We leave you Fatwood firestarter to make it a bit easier.) In the summer, a breeze off the 3,100-foot mountain behind us keeps the container cool, and the sound of the waterfall will put you to sleep. Staying in the cabin is an experience, not a simple overnight. There is something very special about it and this property. On a 20-degree night in the middle of a blizzard, it is 80 degrees and silent inside. Four guests have gotten engaged here. (All said "yes!") Another guest chopped his bundle of wood into 1,000 toothpick-sized pieces thinking that the fire would burn longer and hotter that way. It does not, and he was cold. And he left a glowing review of what he said was one of his best weekends away ever. There is a 30-foot waterfall 300 feet away. A beautiful stream the same distance down the hill, and a 20-foot tall bluestone ridge encasing the cabin. The hammock is perfect for reading and sleeping. The horseshoe pit is fun as hell; the record player is the bomb. This place was built for two. Or two and an infant. Larger groups can inquire about a new 40-foot container that we just finished. Send a note if you are interested or see the other listing. The cabin is cleaned immaculately after every stay, now using CDC standards. Cleaning supplies are also left for guests; we ask them to wipe down surfaces and bag linens before leaving. The cabin is set on a truly gorgeous 20-acre plot on the eastern edge of the Catskill Mountains. Our backyard is the flank of a 3,100-foot mountain. It feels a bit like Maine, or Alaska, with walking trails all over. You can't see any neighbors from our property, but there are neighbors, great ones. (Please be courteous and respectful to them.) We are on the side of Overlook Mountain and have tons of wildlife on the property. (Listen for the owls at night!) All guests are left with potable drinking water. Use the foot pump and you have running water. There are touch-activated LED lights in the house. There is not a lot of storage space in the container, so we usually pack light and leave the bulk of our stuff in the car, parking is 10 feet away. Just bring in the essentials, keep the place orderly and it's more comfortable. No smoking inside, plenty of room to smoke around the campfire outside... There are two solar panels and an inverter with two outlets for charging phones, etc. It's not enough juice to run a hairdryer, but plenty for your phones—and the record player! Cell service is pretty good across the property, but the steel walls of the container make it not so good in some spots indoors. (Put your phone by the window and use a headset.) The new 40-foot container is set on the opposite side of the property. The driveway divides the two and and each are completely private. (We designed it that way.) Saugerties is a gem. Miss Lucy's (dinner), The Dutch (drinks), Circle W General Store (breakfast/lunch) Love Bites (breakfast) and Diamond Mills (fancy!). Walking to the lighthouse is a must, as is hiking to Kaaterskill Falls, Huckleberry Point and North and South Lakes. Hunter Mountain is also 30 minutes away. Food shopping and farm stands are 10-15 min away.
We are 15 minutes from Saugerties, Woodstock, Kingston, Catskill and the Hudson River. We are about 500 yards from Kaaterskill Wild Forest and Overlook Mountain. West Saugerties is rural, full of farms, horse properties and the 3,400-foot peaks of the eastern Catskills.
  • Great place! Loved the close waterfall that you could hear as you fall asleep and all the stars that you could see through the trees. I would recommend this stay to anyone as long as you can handle ruffing it for a few days. Great escape for sure!

  • The container cabin was exactly what we were looking for. It is truly off the grid, in a beautiful location, and a fantastic place to unwind and disconnect. We both love to backpack and camp, so it was a joy to experience an upgraded "camping" experience. We loved being off the grid, and both the wood stove and the fire pit were highlights of our stay. Porter also let us use the hot tub, which is no longer a part of the Airbnb listing, which was great after a long day of hiking. We'll definitely be back!

    Kate2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • A weekend at the cabin is a great way to hit reset. Bring enough food and firewood and you'll never have to leave the cabin if it's cold out. My husband and I read books, listened to records and visited the waterfall, a short walk away. It was great. The cabin has everything you need to cook your meals. Porter was extremely clear in his description and communications about what to expect and was easy to communicate with. I'm really happy with our stay and had a great experience.

    Silvia2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Porter's cabin was such an amazing experience! The cabin was ready and tidy upon arrival, and Porter definitely thought of everything! There's utensils, bowls, cups, games, survival books, charging ports, extra lights - everything you could need. There was also a BB gun so we set up paper plate targets (lol) and had a blast! The waterfall is very close to the container and the entire back yard is great for exploring. We walked the property and didn't even feel it necessary to hike at any other locations. The container is small, yes, but that's the point! We still felt it was plenty of room for two and it was EXTREMELY cozy. You'll definitely need to have basic skills - cooking on an open fire, burning wood using a wood stove, etc. And if you think ahead and bring all you need you won't even have to head back to town (we didn't). All in all, we had one of the best trips we've had together. It was great to disconnect a bit and just enjoy the surroundings. We would highly recommend this BNB to everyone!

  • We had an amazing weekend! This cabin is in a beautiful location with privacy and wildlife. We dined at Love Bites and Miss Lucy’s Kitchen in the town of Saugerties about 15mins away and walked to a bookstore known as Inquiring Mind Bookstore and Cafe. We traveled 30mins to Overlook Mountain for a breathtaking view and a fun exploration of an abandoned hotel on the trail! The container cabin is surrounded by many acres that included a waterfall if you’re looking to explore the property. We sat in the hammock and a deer crossed our path, we also saw a crane splashing in the water close to the cabin, and much more. It was a beautiful weekend at Porter’s Place and the hosts were more than accommodating. We will definitely be back!

    Zaibeth2019-11-03T00:00:00Z
  • Porter’s place is amazing. For those in need of indoor plumbing, note that this does not fit the bill. But for those looking to get away from city life and take on something a bit more rugged, this place is perfection. It has small luxuries in all the right places, and for a weekend getaway my partner and I couldn’t have asked for anything more. We fell in love with it starting with the hammock and wood burning stove and continuing right on to the fire pit and nearby waterfall. For a remote spot in the woods, this place has everything one needs to rest and recharge.

    Cassie2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • Location, location, location. You can't beat it. So wonderful.

    Geoffrey2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Loved the place. Really relaxing and isolated. It is a bit lived in but it didn't diminish my experience on bit. Awesome record collection, too. There is everything from Thelonious Monk to Pink Floyd. Would go back again anytime.

  • Great little cabin. Read the description and you’ll be happy. It’s located on a private zoo!

    Ben2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time staying at the cabin over the weekend. The cabin is clean and comfortable. Gary was super hospitable, friendly and provided a private tour of the zoo. We will be back! Thank you.

  • Place had everything we needed. We went snowboarding, great location if you wanna hit the local slopes. Close enough to Woodstock, so we went to spend an afternoon there.

    Mario2020-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was so beautifully and thoughtfully done and at an amazing location inside the ranch. It has everything you need for a perfect stay and I would highly recommend it. Patrick was always reachable and quick to respond to any questions you have. The ranch owner Gary was great and I enjoyed the 1 hour horse ride on the mountain provided by Troy. Troy was very friendly and had great insights of the mountains while horse riding, I recommend a 1 hour ride it was totally worth it. I would visit again!

    Samuel2019-12-28T00:00:00Z
  • Patrick and Erins cabin was exactly what I was looking for. They are super communicative and helpful at every possible turn. Woodstock is so close and the hikes around the area are beautiful!

    Yael2019-12-25T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin is located on the grounds of a zoo. Have coffee in the morning next to a camel? Pet a horse? See a couple Bengal Tigers? Absolutely! The place was rustic as described and could have benefited from a few more plates, but the space is funky and fun and exactly why AirBNB is such a great way to travel. There aren't any grocery stores near by (that I found at least) and you will definitely want to have a car rather than taking a Lyft from the train station since there isn't much in walking distance. By our third night this cabin felt like home. Enjoy!

    Sam2019-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin is set within a stunning woodland. Incredible hiking & trail running opportunities - we headed to Kaaterskills Waterfalls which was a brilliant day out! The cabin is basic, though has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. It’s well decorated & the quirky touches make you feel at home. Well recommend!

  • This place is so lovely! DeAne is so kind and giving. The place is SO cute and colorful, the bed is extremely comfortable, and there are plenty of amenities to keep you comfortable enough to not leave for as long as 24 hours straight. My bus from Saugerties got cancelled and she helped me out so much--and, I left my headphones and she so kindly shipped them back to me! Lovely place, lovely host, lovely everything. Highly highly recommend.

  • Close to Woodstock, this airbnb is everything you'd expect and more.

  • DeAne is an excellent host and the room is in a perfect central location. DeAne was very nice and gave us some nice suggestions on where to eat and visit. It's a great place to stay if you're in the area. P.S: the cat is very cute

    Lakin2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • I had such an amazing weekend and was made even better with a cozy and unique place to stay at night. DeAne was a great host and made sure I had everything I needed each night. She provided some great tips on places to eat and things to do. Everything was very detailed in the description of the room on the listing so there was nothing unexpected. Didn't encounter an issue with road noise that was mentioned in the description. The little house and surrounding area in the woods is very peaceful. I plan to rent this room with DeAne every time I make a trip to the area.

    Rich2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • The space has a wonderful fun feel, and the bed is suuuuuper comfy! The coffee and snacks were handy in the morning. Getting to the shower in the main house was easy, and you'll get to meet the most friendly big orange cat! 🐈 Definitely a great value for the comfort and all of the amenities. Highly recommend.

  • Exactly as described, great location if you are going to the Levon studio. No real bathroom or shower, but that's described in the post. She was very friendly and welcoming. She thought of everything from tea, coffee, creamer, microwave, etc. The place is very brightly decorated! We were only there for a night but worked perfectly for what we needed.

  • We had a great time at the cozy cabin. They have a handful of cabins on the property, nicely spaced out so you can have your privacy. We met both of the hosts briefly and they were super nice, welcoming, always wanted to make sure we had everything we needed, but also respected our privacy completely. The inside of the cabin was more spacious than it looked from the outside. The fire pit, grill, and picnic table outside are perfect for hanging out in the nice weather and it is very convenient to park your car right up next to the cabin. Because they manage a few different cabins and their motel closer to the main road, it really felt like a reputable operation and gave me peace of mind knowing that if there were any issues with the booking or cabin that they would be easy to work with in getting things resolved. The area is spread out but only a 10 minute drive to near by grocery stores and eateries. 100% would recommend and will likely be staying there again in the future.

We offer a private studio apartment located on the second floor of this wonderfully restored 2 unit carriage house, built in the early roarin' 20's! It offers a blend of modern amenities, with more traditional countryside accents. The traditional design of the studio allows light to pour through the apartment, while making adjustments for sleeping in easy. This truly unique space is a perfect place to take a weekend to relax, and enjoy our exterior grounds!
  • Cozy space, close to town and hiking trails, with all the cooking supplies you’d need. The shower is a bit small (probably 3x3), just in case that’s important to you, but everything was spotless and really comfortable!

Our beautiful cottage has cozy charm and modern amenities. Located on the Esopus Creek, near the town of Phoenicia. Enjoy the restaurants and shops nearby, or cuddle up near a warm fire after hitting the slopes. Relax to the sound of the river after a day of hiking or tubing. One queen bed and one lush futon make this a couples or family get away. Surround yourself with the peace and quiet of nature any time of year. The Catskills are calling..
Our cottage is a renovated 1920’s fishing cottage. The wood floors and river rock fireplace are original. But everything else has been updated to ensure comfort and convenience. Prepare delicious meals on the gas stove and granite countertops or outdoor gas grill. Make use of ample counter space and cooking appliances. Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven and blender are all available for use. Take a step out the double French doors to a private space and follow the forest trail down to the river. Or take a walk down our quiet street to the bridge that spans the Esopus creek. Watch the tubers, grab your fishing poles, or just enjoy the water. Privacy and serenity make this a great place to escape..
  • We had a lovely time staying at Suzy’s Cabin. Lovely cozy space, we enjoyed the outdoor space with our little boy who enjoyed some nature during this pandemic, the walk to the river is just few minutes and there is a nice picnic table to sit and view the river! It is a great location and we would love to come again and enjoy what the area has to offer- like the railway museum and other activities for kids. The kitchen has everything u may need- so don’t need to pack any utensils/ pots/ cutting boards- like we did! Only bring your food! There is a great selection of DVD’s and some toys for kids and big puzzles that are awesome adult activities for a pandemic! Suzy’s instructions were very clear and we enjoyed our little gate away so much! We did forgot something and Suzy said she will mail it to us so we are very thankful! Def will come back here again and highly recommending staying here for couple and small family! Thank you so much!!

  • Suzy is a great and welcoming host. She is also quick to respond to any questions. Her place is clean and comfortable. She was able to make a lovely cozy nest with a lot of small thoughtful touches out of a little rustic cabin. We found all necessary amenities for us to feel almost at home. The location is relaxing and gives you a quick access to many Catskill’s attractions. I definitely want to come back.

  • Ideal for cozy getaway with convenient access to outdoor activities and local towns. Great walk down to the river front with space to relax and take it in. Thank you.

    Cameron2020-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Suzy’s place is absolutely charming. My wife and I enjoyed every moment of our near month long stay. The house is pristine, beautiful located and designed. Even when we were working we felt like we were outside due to the numerous windows (the house has black out blinds for night). The large kitchen, two fireplaces and modern TV make it very easy to relax. Of course they aren’t better than walking 20yds to the river. What a beautiful, private spot to visit anytime of the day. Suzy went out of her way to being an amazing host. She immediately responded to any questions we had and went out of her way numerous times to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We hope to return soon.

    Will2020-04-20T00:00:00Z

  • Couldn’t recommend this place enough. Unfortunately went there when the world was a bit upside down but the place is gorgeous. Suzy was very quick to respond to all my questions and they left a binder behind with all the local places and things to do while at our stay. The cabin is located right by a stream of water which you can see and walk to right from the cabin and it was honestly a beautiful stay. Would highly recommend.

  • Cute apartment located in a perfect location in Hudson. Communication with Michael was fast and easy and same goes for the check-in/check-out. Thanks for letting stay!

    Amal2020-04-27T00:00:00Z
  • I had a very nice and comfortable stay at Michael's place. The the decor and character of this Airbnb is very unique and I mean that in a positive way. The apartment is situated on the lower level inside of a townhouse. Despite being on the lower level I never heard much of any noise coming from the upstairs apartment. The apartment has its own entrance and is private which is a plus. The apartment is quite spacious with a small make shift kitchen (microwave, mini refrigerator, Nespresso, electric water boiler). The apartment isn't huge but for 2-3 people it a perfect size, there's also a daybed in the first room that has pull out mattress so it is possible to accommodate more guest. At the back end of the apartment opposite the bedroom there is a small patio area that is quite enjoyable especially on sunny days. It's a perfect area to go outside and have a cup of coffee, and enjoy your meal. I found myself out on the patio quite a bit as it was very peaceful and secluded. So all in all I really like Michael's place. I liked the eclectic decor, the bevy of books, the Apple TV that was signed into Netflix for easy viewing, not to mention the Nespresso maker in the kitchen that makes a great cup of coffee, and I almost forgot, I really was liking the heated floors throughout the apartment (even the bathroom) that's easily controlled by Google nest. The surrounding area is beautiful with two churches on each end of the block, post office down the block and nearby stores, bars and restaurants that are a short 10 minutes walk or just a 3 to 4 minute car ride. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is visiting the area, as I mentioned the kitchen is small but If you're not planning to do your own cooking and can get by with a mini fridge and microwave this place is really worth checking out.

  • Such a unique space! We truly enjoyed the homey feel of this apartment. The occasion we were traveling for was not a happy one, and it was comforting to come “home” at night. Mr. Michael was very accommodating to rent us his space during such uncertain times. Check in and check out were a breeze and communication was excellent!

In the summer, our Geodesic Dome is equipped with an AC and it cools the Glamping Dome nicely, but you should still keep in mind you are in a tent, not a house. We require that heaters and AC are used on Low or Medium setting only. Our Domeo is located in our back yard, and we are located in Town of Hensonville, NY (part of Windham, NY) NOTE: Cell phone reception is very spotty in our town. You can log in to WI-FI to make phone calls.
The quaint Catskills hamlet of Hensonville is just two miles from Ski Windham and seven miles from Hunter Mountain. Explore hundreds of acres of picturesque state forest preserves, hike or bike to nearby C.D. Lane Park or BlackDome State Forest. Dome is situated in host's backyard, 25 feet from the house. Located in town, not in the woods. Walking distance to local diner, bar and restaurant. Location ideal for skiing, hiking, mt. biking, hunting or just relaxing. Several golf courses nearby.
  • Lovely and sweet space. Awesome host.

  • My husband and I absolutely loved this place. After a pretty disappointing previous few weeks, in having to cancel our wedding due to Covid 19. This place was an awesome escape from reality. Conveniently located to good trails and surrounding towns. Highly recommend :)

  • The Domeo was amazing! My husband and I had a lovely, relaxing time visiting. It really is a magical place, everywhere you look there was amazing attention to detail. It looks small from the outside, but feels really spacious and cozy on the inside. It had everything we needed and it was all easy to use, plus Ella was super communicative and even assisted us with starting up the grill so we could cook! With the cold weather outside, the dome was very warm inside. This is a perfect homebase to explore the surrounding mountains, skiing, and hiking trails. We really hope to come back soon!

    Stefanie2020-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • The Domeo is supercool! It’s a great experience and the space is laid out really well. There are instructions for everything so it’s all really easy to use, especially if you’re like me and never stayed in a place like this before. Thanks for a unique stay!

  • This place is a hidden gem! We would have loved to stay longer. It felt like you were in a cozy igloo that had so much character

  • The Domeo was super cute. Ella thought of many ways to make it original. She is also very organized and detailed about how to make you have the best/comfortable stay. I only had a short time here but I will be back! Also, for future guests make sure you check out Kaaterskill falls close by it was amazing !!

SUPER-COZY little cabin getaway. Perfect romantic weekend near the wood stove or as an easy all-seasons vacation for hiking, hunting and fishing. Located in Catskill State Park, about 20 minutes from Hunter, Windham and Belleyare!
The Little Cabin has: -Woodstove -Flatscreen/DVD player -1 Bedroom (full sized bed) -Living Room (full sized pull-out couch; twin fold-away-cot) -1 Bathroom w/ shower -Full Kitchen -Outdoor park-style grill -Campfire circle
New York's Catskill Mountains include one of the largest and most complex natural areas in the East - on par with the West's Yellowstone National Park. Round, forested mountains; narrow, winding valleys; rushing streams and rivers are features that attract many to the 600,000 acres of the Catskill Park. One of the best kept New York State secrets is Bear Spring Mountain Campground, well-known for its excellent hunting and fishing, as well as its facilities for campers with horses. A good multi-use trail system for hiking, horseback riding, and snowmobiling also is available. The Catskill Fish Hatchery near Livingston Manor is open to the public. Catskill streams offer some of the finest trout fishing in the East. Among the best known waters are Esopus, Beaverkill and Willowemoc creeks. Each year, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation stocks fingerling and yearling trout throughout the Catskills. Rolling hills, forested mountains, ponds, streams and historic sites can all be found within the Catskill Park. Some of the Catskill campgrounds are open in the spring for early fishing and camping, and in the fall for hunting and autumn foliage viewing. In the high peaks of the Central Catskills, a different kind of ski experience welcomes you: Belleayre Mountain and Forest Preserve skiing. It's a world of difference. Belleayre Mountain lies in the heart of the Catskill Forest Preserve on "forever wild" land, unblemished by the blare and glare of commercialization. The mountain and its 33 trails are expertly maintained by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
  • We rented the place, but upon arrival realized there was no Wifi. Normally this would be fine, but my partner and I needed to work from home during the stressful situation (COV-ID pandemic). Jonathan and Nassia offered us a full refund and were very understanding!! Hopefully once this is all over we can rent with them, and enjoy the cabin.

  • Cozy cabin, nothing fancy - but perfect for what we needed!

    Chelsea2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing time spent at this truly cozy cabin. While the wood burning stove was our favorite amenity by far, the hot and reliable shower made for a wonderful refresh. Upon arrival we expected the cabin to be colder than it actually was. To our surprise, the gas heater kept at a minimum temperature really made for a warm welcome. After we got the wood burning stove fire going, the cabin became SUPER cozy. We found everything we needed at this cabin, especially some peace and relaxation. We will be back!

  • My fiance and I went snowboarding for a few days at the mountains nearby. The cabin is cute and cozy. We loved the indoor fireplace. There wasn't much paper provided but we brought our paper garbage from home anyway. I would also bring a starter log because the wood had a hard time catching fire. There is also a BBQ and outdoor fire pit, but unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. Not having service (T-Mobile & AT&T) or WiFi provoked a little anxiety in case of an emergency (at the cabin or back home), but it was also nice being off the grid at night.

Come Relax amoung the tree tops and enjoy a 100 mile view! Nesseled in the Catskill moutains, a private studio awaits you. Located near hiking, biking and ski trails! Breath taking views will surround you, sleep with the window open and you will hear a natural waterfall coming from the moutains. You will find a private parking area, your own entry an exit way. The apartment with glass doors over looking the vally, there will be a full kitchen for your use. As well as a full bathroom.
  • Lovely getaway for a nature-filled weekend. Hiking trails are 15-30 minutes away. We arrived late at night and the studio was warm and inviting! The view is relaxing, you can hear waterfalls, there is a small trail in the backyard (great for dogs), and personal touches. We appreciated the Roku set up (for movie night!), variety of body care items, a fully equipped kitchen. Highly recommend this for weekend getaway for yourself, your partner, and your furry companion if you have one. The one drawback is that the shower is very small, so if you're over 6 feet tall it might be a challenge. But it did not take away from the full experience. It feels like a home away from home.

    Alexandra2020-04-13T00:00:00Z
  • This view. Wow. The cutest studio, Virginia was so communicative and felt welcomed. There's a hill off the home where you can take your dog. Just be careful because the house is off the highway! The studio is really stylish and felt so homey. Had everything you could need. Would def stay here again!

    Yosub2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Virginia’s place was great! My and my sister booked as a last minute weekend away to hit the slopes. The apartment is so cute! And the view is incredible!! Virginia was a great host and took care of every little detail... including having some cooking essentials available in the kitchen and some extra necessities in the fridge! I would 100% stay here again on my next visit to the area.

    Kristin2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Cute little studio with everything you need for a stay in the Catskills. Close to several spots for hiking (our main activity) and local restaurants. We loved being able to bring our dog, though the house is on a main road, so I was nervous about the cars flying by. We were there just before Christmas and there was a beautiful little tree and other decorations--such a nice touch and made it feel very homey!

    Nadia2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely stay at Virginia’s place. It was a cozy place with everything you would need for a nice weekend away. She was very kind and accommodating, I would definitely recommend this place if you would like a nice getaway in the mountains!

  • Virginia’s place was absolutely lovely. The space is full of thoughtful touches that make it feel extra cozy. I especially enjoyed watching the sky change color off the deck while having my coffee in the morning. Convenient location, close to Windham, Hunter Mountain and Tannersville.

The studio was spotless and had very warm touches as well as a very caring host. The fridge was stocked which was very kind of the host, and the bathroom had plenty of towels, and shampoos. • If you’re looking for a quiet getaway from city life, look no further. This place is perfect for singles or a couple, quaint and cozy. You won’t find a deli around the corner but the crisp air and scenery makes up for that. Cozy for a chilly stay in with a large yard for a warm days bask.

  • We had the opportunity to enjoy a 1-Week Getaway here, I and My Girlfriend, and it was one of the best choices we could of made. The experience was exactly what we were looking for, and we wouldn't change a thing. Cozy, quiet, extremely peaceful and clean, just simply a perfect getaway. If you're the type that enjoys the Sound of Nature, in addition to the Tranquility of a Cozy environment - we highly recommend here. Thank you again for hosting us - we can't wait to come back.

  • Where to begin?!? My boyfriend and I decided to rent this little adorable cabin in the woods for one night as a little getaway. The kitchen is spacious, modern but vintage, and completely functional with absolutely stunning French doors that bring in so much light to the cabin. Then you enter the next room where you’ll find a nice set up including a couch with a TV as well as an extremely comfortable bed and a completely updated bathroom. My boyfriend and I decided to utilize the fire pit conveniently located right off the back deck (which may I add has a cute set of table and chairs) after we cooked a delicious dinner. This cabin was a perfect way to get away from the chaos of our everyday lives and enjoy a quiet, serene place that fit the two of us just perfectly. I highly recommend this to any couple looking for a romantic getaway!!!

The Casita is a studio apartment comfortable for solo travellers, couples or just two folks who don't mind sharing a bed! I've renovated it to be a comfortable stay for a weekend or even longer, with all basic amenities, a queen size bed, standing shower bathroom, and kitchenette. Although it is an apartment on the ground floor of my house, you will have your privacy with a separate entrance off of the driveway which is for guest use during the stay.
You enter into the kitchenette area which has a dining table for two, but also stools at a counter for an additional space to sit to work with a laptop or eat. There is a mini fridge, an induction cooktop, a coffee maker, an electric kettle and a microwave oven and I provide dish ware, utensils, cutlery, some basic spices (salt / pepper, others) as well as coffee / tea starters to get you going. The fireplace is electric but it adds a nice ambiance with the flames or can be turned on with the heat option as well for extra heating though there is also the thermostat above the bed for baseboard heating. Through the open doorway there is a bright bedroom area with a queen size bed, a bookcase you can feel free to borrow from and an armchair to sit by the window in. There is also a chair and desk for working at and a Bluetooth speaker. Although there is no TV, we added a projector that can be used with the provided cables to project anything playing on your laptop or iPhone. The bathroom is L shaped off the kitchenette area with toilet, sink and standing one person shower. I provide one large towel and one face towel per person and will provide fresh towels for stays of 5 days or longer periodically.
Catskill Village is wonderful with a vibe on the quieter side. Which doesn't mean that there aren't things to do. We have a surprising number of choice for restaurants considering Main Street isn't very large! Mexican, Chinese, Polish-American, Korean, Thai, Mediterranean... all in the center of town. We also have two breweries (Subversive Beer Café and Crossroads) Subversive has a eat-peanuts-throw-the-shells-on-the-floor and lounge on couches / play table shuffleboard kind of vibe and Crossroads is your go to to watch sports. Mix in a few cool stores: second hand; antiques; modern house goods; ;record shop; bookstore two great evening music venues (HiLo and Avalon Lounge), late night dive bar (Captain Kidd's) and going hiking or touring the Thomas Cole House Museum or crossing the bridge on the Skywalk and going to Olana and you have plenty to do!
  • The space was stylish and clean and close to lots of fun things to do!

    Elias2020-05-02T00:00:00Z
  • Although the weather cut my trip short, Jeanette was accommodating. This is the perfect for anyone looking for a little getaway. I loved the books, card games and wood she had to offer inside the yurt, and the trails near the stay were perfect for my pup and I to explore. The location is close to multiple parks and scenic locations. Can't wait for a second visit!

  • The pictures are great. It shows you what it is. What it won't show you - when the sun hits the spot, when you are actually there in that lovely place. Further away from the houses, you are separated enough to call it alone. The chimney is tricky, do small fire and keep it running. (was tricky for me, my first time using it, if you are experts - nothing to talk about). Perfect little spot close to beautiful Woodstock and the area, if you want something more adventurous than 'just a room'. Jeanette was communicating with me even on Thanksgiving, very acommodating. I would love to do it again with a friend sometimes. Will definitely stay on my list.

    Peter2019-11-29T00:00:00Z
  • After seeing this cute campsite set up on AirBnB, my partner and I headed up to Jeanette’s on an absolute whim. We were extremely delighted with the secluded set-up, cleanliness/comfortability of the tent space and the site itself. During our November night, the tent stove kept us quite warm and we benefited from bringing a comforter along. A note to self after our stay is to bring a bit more water, but felt prepared for/hosted by this drive up campsite otherwise. Jeanette’s quick to respond, an excellent host and her campsite is a happy medium between “traditional” camping and “glamping.” 10/10 would stay again!

Come, get away from the craziness of life, calm your body, clear your mind and channel your energy by staying at a very special little gem. Once you arrive you won't want to leave. A newly renovated cozy cottage, where you won't believe your view when you wake up in the morning with your first cup of tea or coffee overlooking the best spot in this area from the deck. A perfect getaway on almost 5 acres of creek frontage to find your inner peace.
Your body and mind will relax from the first minute you are here. Do your morning Yoga on your own sandy beach, swim, kayak, go fishing, watch wildlife from the tree house, chill with a good book on lounge chairs, cozy up with drinks while having a camp fire. Private, though an ideal location to start exploring the bounty of the Hudson Valley. A short distance to Kingston, Woodstock, Rhinebeck, Hudson, ... and everything these places and this great area has to offer. Recently renovated, I detailed the cottage with a lot of unique flea market finds and custom made elements to make you feel immediately at ease and inspire you to be mindful. Everything, except the comfortable bed, induction cook top and the state-of-the-art (literally) AC, Heating and Dehumidifier unit, is lovingly repurposed, restored or 'up-cycled'. The bath has a shower (sorry no bathtub) and the small kitchen includes a 2-burner induction cook top and all the necessities to make breakfast or have a simple dinner. Cozy, even on a rainy day, the cottage has all the basics for you to enjoy your stay. There is WiFi but, sorry, no TV. I hope that you won't miss it with the ever changing view and amazing nature. The open floor plan provides up close views of the creek from the sunny deck, kitchen, dining table and the bed. Coffee is truly special when you wake up to a constantly changing view on the creek and it's wildlife. If you are lucky you will see a bald eagle go for a fish that jumps with a splash. My unique property is an outdoors enthusiast's dream. Take a walk down to the creek where you have approximately 1,000' of the famous Rondout tow path to stroll along to find rock formations, your own private beach with lounge chairs, a tree house with fire pit and a kayak launch. This is a perfect property to escape New York City and connect with nature. You won't want to leave!
Just 91 miles (146 km) North of New York City we are located in the middle of the beautiful Hudson Valley near the town of Rosendale, a small town with a historic movie theater and the just renovated 1000' long and 150' high "Walkway over the Rondout". This historic former train trestle is part of the Wallkill Valley Rail Trail which accesses over 85 continuous miles of hiking, trail running, cross or mountain cycling, and cross-country skiing. Visit the caves of the historic Snyder Estate or enjoy a stroll along the scenic river to bars and restaurants. We are also just minutes from the restaurants and shops in Kingston, NY's first capital, with many of the older buildings being part of three historic districts, such as the Stockade District uptown, the Midtown Neighborhood Broadway Corridor, and the Rondout Strand Historic District downtown where the Rondout Creek flows into the Hudson River. Only 30 min from Woodstock, New Paltz, Poughkeepsie, Rhinebeck or Bard's campus and 45 minutes north to The Olana Estate near Hudson with all his antique shops, there is plenty to explore and enjoy. Visit international art venues in Beacon or Storm King, watch a concert at Bethel Woods, the original site of the famous Woodstock Festival in 69, or have dinner at the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) and other 'Foody' destinations.
  • Mario and Ziggy were great hosts! This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway. We really enjoyed the views of the creek from the deck where we had coffee every morning. The place itself had everything you needed including appliances and condiments to make breakfast, lunch and dinner. Mario gave great recommendations of the area which we got to explore as well. We would love to come back to visit again in the summertime!

    Janice2020-05-10T00:00:00Z
  • Got to spend a few days in Mario’s stylish and wonderfully appointed riverside cottage. Although on the small side, the decor and view made the stay terrific nonetheless and just added to it’s charm. We followed Mario’s recommendations to a tee and spent a fantastic few days in the Rosendale area hiking and exploring Minnewaska. Would definitely recommend!

  • Mario was a fabulous host! His place was super clean and put together. We loved spending time on the deck and playing by the water. Winnie (our dog) loved being able to run around the property. We will definitely be back soon!

  • We loved Mario’s cabin and exploring the areas nearby! The bed was super comfortable and we felt we had everything we needed at our disposal. Mario is a fantastic host; very friendly, chill guy who is easy to communicate with. He gave us some great local sight seeing and restaurant recommendations. We want to come back in the summer and take full advantage of the waterfront and see the beautiful area during that season :)

  • Awesome weekend getaway in a beautiful private setting! Mario was an amazing host - very welcoming and more than willing to offer suggestions for the area. The space itself is small but very comfortable and nicely appointed. The water view is lovely and calming - exactly what I was looking for in a weekend escape. And despite the remote location, there are many restaurants and other site seeing destinations close by. If you're looking to escape the madness of the city, you're less than 2 hours away from the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Thanks Mario - I hope to see you again soon!

  • The cottage was perfect for a few nights away from the city. We loved waking up to the views and grilling on the deck in the evening. Would love to come back in warmer weather.

  • A very cozy getaway. And a surprising zoo next door!

    Sarah2020-03-13T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely older space, the house was a bit hard to find in the middle of the night but you shouldn’t have an issue if you arrive during the daylight. The location is quite interesting as it’s next to a zoo (and if you’re lucky you can catch a glimpse of the tiger(s)!) The house may not have all the glitz and glam of a modern apartment but it’s definitely got personality. The host was easy to contact for any questions and was eager to show us around the property, but unfortunately we didn’t have the time. I’d recommend this home to anyone staying in the area (we were skiing at Hunter Mtn and it was the perfect distance - highly recommend Selena’s Diner for breakfast on the way to the mountain).

This is our 7th and newest accommodation in a collection of unique handbuilt structures. Artist designed and constructed, this modern and reclaimed barnwood A frame is cozy and invites you to hang in bed and gaze out the scenic windows, or get out and explore the 15 acre former apple orchard. It offers a queen bed, with fresh linens, towels, clean drinking water, and a few special details. Solar lights glow inside in the evening, and the stargazing here is spectacular!
Please note that there is no electricity or running water in the A frame. We light the area with solar lighting and battery lanterns. We feature composting toilets close by (clean, cute and not smelly!), a solar shower in warmer months, a full bathroom with hot shower inside our main farmhouse available 8 am - 9 pm, as well as running cold tap water in the outdoor kitchen . You are free to roam the acres. There are several barns on the property, a wood workshop, several gathering areas with picnic tables, and a large garden. In the later part of the summer we will have food to offer from the garden. The outdoor kitchen is protected and can be used in sun or rain, it contains all of the cooking utensils, pots and pans, dishes, lighting, a small shared fridge, propane stove, charcoal grill and 2 shared outlets for charging devices. There are cruiser bikes to borrow (they can get to the market and back but are not good for long distance) You're welcome to come to the farmhouse with any questions, please access through the front door on the front porch. All accommodations are weather proof. Usually more fun in the sun, but rain gives reason to sip wine in the outdoor kitchen looking out or snuggle inside. We welcome dogs for an additional $20 non-refundable pet deposit, payable by cash or Venmo (laura-sink). Please be mindful of cleanliness of dogs on the linens and carpets. Any damage above normal laundering will be charged in addition.
Germantown has 1 amazing market named Otto's where you can purchase all the necessities. 1 amazing restaurant named Gaskins with farm-fresh food and great cocktails. 1 liquor store & main street offering a couple of shops to peruse. 20 minutes to Hudson (all the restaurants & shopping you could desire) 20 minutes to Rhinebeck
  • Laura’s ranch set up is quite dreamy. Crumby rainy weather aside, my partner and I were still able to enjoy the beautiful nature within. The communal vibe that they curated is pretty amazing, and had has wanting to come back in the warmer months. It also got us thinking about how amazing it would be if there we traveled back out there with a group of friends since there are other converted spots to occupy. We highly recommend the ranch. And especially recommend for others to buddy up and make it a group outing!

  • Gatherwild Ranch was an amazing experience. We stayed in the A-frame during our stay and really enjoyed it. Despite us coming during a cold weekend they had the propane stove setup to keep us warm along with many blankets. It’s a great experience if you’re looking to try something different. The ranch is well thought out with it’s setup and all the different amenities it offers. The hosts are friendly and very responsive. We enjoyed our stay here. Plus, they have the friendliest goats and you can’t lose with goats involved 😁

    Jonathan2019-11-11T00:00:00Z
  • I can't recommend Gatherwild Ranch enough. We spent a lovely fall weekend in the A frame and absolutely loved it. It was bigger than we expected, with a super comfy bed and plenty of blankets. The cabin came complete with a wine opener, cups, and even a little water dispenser and bowl, so you don't need to go outside to brush your teeth. The property is idyllic and is equipped with everything you need, from the charming outdoor kitchen to the (surprisingly pleasant) composting potties. Guests have access to a beautiful big bathroom in the main house, which we really appreciated, as it was a little too chilly for us to brave the outdoor showers! Gatherwild has a cozy little community vibe, but also caters to those who prefer privacy. Accommodations are spread out across the ranch, and each has its own firepit – or you can hang out by the shared firepit if that's more your speed. Laura was a friendly and gracious host who came out to greet us when we arrived – as did her goats, who are major sweeties! We're big Gatherwild fans and will definitely be back.

  • Gillian’s cabin was the perfect getaway - peace, quiet and nature within a short drive from the town center. She was incredibly responsive and helpful, and the place was so charming and clean. There were so many thoughtful touches like cookies and milk upon our arrival. I can’t wait to go back and read more of the books, I wish we didn’t have to leave!

    Molly2020-04-05T00:00:00Z
  • Expect a warm, comfortable, relaxing, cabin-in-the-woods experience. If getting away from the world for a day or two (or three or four!!!!), Gillian’s cabin in the woods is the place to go. Don’t expect fancy. But do expect a rustic, warm, incredibly comfortable artist’s loft away from the world. I’m sure that I will be booking this space again and again!!!! Eric Davis, LMT...

    Eric2020-03-28T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful cottage with loads of charm. Gillian was very responsive and flexible as a host. Highly recommended!

    Chris2020-03-25T00:00:00Z
  • This studio is a quiet, cozy and very private little hideaway nestled in a peaceful wooded area. Gillian is an excellent host and very accommodating and thoughtful. I'm glad I found this place!

    Michael2020-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • This is my third trip to Gillian’s cabin. Me, my husband and my dog love being surrounded by the warm vibe of the cabin and vast woods around us. The steam shower is amazing after a long hike at one of the close trails! If you’re like us and looking to really disconnect - this is the place to do it. Gillian is super helpful and communicates as much as you need her to, but she also respects our privacy. Much appreciated, Gillian!!

    Amanda2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • This place is very cute, clean, and cozy, I would highly recommend it! It feels very tucked away into the woods, but is still close to town.

    Abby2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Gillian’s studio was just perfect for a relaxing getaway from New York. The house is super cute and Cosy with all the comfort. Very quiet in the middle of the forest. 5min away from the town. As a host Gillian was extremely sweet and gave us very good tips about to visit around. We will definitely come back ! Do not hesitate. It’s a gem !
