  • The cabin is just as described. Located right on ITS 88 with easy rides in all directions for your chosen destination. The spot is absolutely beautiful located right on the river. There was an eagle present on a few occasions perched right across the river from the cabin. Its was a great spot for a much needed get-a-way.

  • CB, his wife Vicki, and their son David are some to the best folks that the County has to offer. When we stay in Caribou, we stay here!

    Zachary2020-01-16T00:00:00Z
  • This little house is perfectly located on the river. There is a beautiful deck to sit on and listen to the water flow. It was frozen while we were there, but I would love to go back when it's warmer to enjoy they view.

The Forest Room is small but very unique. I have wallpapered the walls with forest murals and forest green trim so that one might imagine that one is really in a woods setting. There is one single bed with new mattress, a bureau and desk and chair. The room rent includes a light breakfast with several options. Please notice that I do not charge a cleaning fee. Please also note that, due to my allergies, I cannot accommodate pets or guests who smoke.
  • A great place to stay in the Caribou area and would highly recommend.

    Ian2020-01-09T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely big old house close to the centre of Caribou. Big high ceilings & polished wood everywhere - really stylish. Carol was a fantastic host, providing great breakfast & conversation each morning. I really enjoyed my stay.

    Keith2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Carol is amazing! Very nice....informative....hospitable! Great place to stay. If I wasn't moving to the area.....I would stay here again!

  • Thank you Mrs. Carol for everything!

    Kevin2019-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • My stay in the Victorian Manor was a unique experience and to sleep in the Forest room (which by the way is very well named) was RAD. On top of that Carol and Steve are a couple of warm and very interesting people ... I definitely recommend you to stay with them !

    Sacha2019-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • This is a large Victorian home that is just outside the downtown area. You'll have a quiet and private room with door lock, shared bath, comfy beds, nice hostess. I'd wish for slightly lower rates, but it is still reasonable and nicer than a motel room. Carol provides a super croissant for breakfast from a local bakery, too!

    Kimberly2019-07-14T00:00:00Z
  • CB is a wonderful host - friendly and helpful. The cabin had a great layout and heaps of indoor and outdoor space for two. And those sunsets - spectacular! A great escape from the urban centre. When we next travel to visit family in the area, we will be sure to plan in advance and book with CB.

  • Great place to have for home base for the weekend. Nothing too fancy which is prefect for us. So nice to have a three bedroom option. We will be back. Our three year old wants “to go back to that borrowed house again”.

This room is spacious and lovely with four large windows, a comfy queen sized bed, warm and cozy faux mink/sherpa comforter, individual heater and/or fan, love seat, bureau, spacious closet and desk and chair. Sunny side porch with umbrella table and chairs for summer enjoyment as well as a shady, cool front porch. Free Wi -Fi available. Please note that due to my allergies, I cannot accommodate pets or guests who smoke.
My specialty breakfast is blueberry pancakes, with a gluten-free version available. Also, if you prefer, and with enough advanced notice, I can offer a delicious flaky croissant - either ham and cheese or spinach and cheese - baked on site by Farms' Bakery.
  • We enjoyed spending a night at Carol's place. She is very accommodating and fun and interesting to talk with. She has rooms with longer-term guests and a gentleman arrived from Australia the same evening as we did (who was also fascinating). The house is not too far from a road, but it's so well built that noise wasn't an issue. We were comfortable and felt well cared for. Another Airbnb for the win! Elizabeth

    Ted2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Wouldn't change a thing! Over the top.

    Pete2019-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazing stay! Wonderful discussions, amazing hospitality, everything we needed. This is an heritage home but it works well. We had a beautiful room in the tower, ask for it! Breakfast of Blueberry pancakes is so very good! Thank you Carol!

    Terry2018-09-03T00:00:00Z
  • I was new to Airbnb, but Carol helped make the process simple and straightforward. She offers a clean and comfortable place to stay, and has a ton of information on local activities, restaurants and shopping. I had stayed in this area before, and I still learned about new things to do once I arrived at Carol's.

    Amanda2018-04-03T00:00:00Z
  • By spending time here you will reap the benefits of a truly well presented, comfortable home plus the most outstanding hostess ever!

  • Everything everyone said is what the place was. I’m happy to say my expectations were very high based on previous reviews and those were met. The place was gorgeous-clean, lots of appliances, and comfortable. There are extra blankets and pillows for coziness and deck furniture as well. The neighbors are friendly too-both human and bird. There are great little restaurants and museums on the area to check out as well!

    Daniel2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is such an amazing place to stay. I booked it as a travel nurse and did NOT have one problem. Tammy is so quick to respond and goes above and beyond as a host. I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place. It is so clean. Well stocked so you can cook and then sit out on the deck overlooking nature, enjoying the quiet! I can’t thank you guys enough!

    Andrea2019-11-23T00:00:00Z
  • We loved this little apartment and had a great time staying there. The minute we walked in we were so happy with the place. It was very clean and neat. Smelled great. It was private and very cozy for just the two of us. Small, but not too small. It was so homey and relaxing to come home to that first day, after a long day of driving. Everything was so comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. Though the sofa looked uncomfortable, it surprisingly was not at all. There were special little touches like the laminated sign typed up displayed on the kitchen counter/bar for guests, giving info of the area and places to eat and visit, etc. We loved having the convenient docking stations in both the bedroom and living area. Wifi was great the entire time we were there. The amenities were great. We had plenty of towels, washclothes, pillows, blankets, etc. There was free k-cup coffee, sugar and creamers, various basic food staples in the refrigerator and cabinets in the kitchen and shampoo, conditioner, body soaps, etc., for us in the bathroom. Honestly, if we had forgotten anything but our clothes, we would have been just fine. We had all the amenities we needed. Even better than most hotels. They even had fans already in the rooms, so I didn’t need the one I had brought with me. We were very pleased with the place, to say the least. If we had anything to critique it, it would probably have been only one thing that could have made our stay even better. The tv screen in the livingroom is quite small for such a big space. It really needs a bigger one. And, we would have loved to have a tv in the bedroom, as well. But honestly, we were gone most of the time anyway, so watching tv would only have been in the evening when we went to bed. Other than that...no complaints whatsoever. The hosts really went above and beyond during our stay, even contacting us by text daily to make sure we were ok and did not need anything. It was our first Airbnb stay and we have to say, it was a great experience. We will definitely be staying in this place again when we are back in the area. And we are looking forward to it.

    Tammy2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • Great hosts and a cute 2nd floor unit in a quiet part of town. Very clean with a private deck and air conditioning. Nice having Netflix as an option on the TV. Would stay there again!

This is a ground-floor apartment with a space to park in the garage (important in winter). It is quiet and clean, within walking distance to the grocery, post office, movie theater, and restaurants. It is located one and a quarter miles from Cary Medical Center, 12 miles north of Presque Isle, and 15 miles from the Loring Commerce Center. It is 100% non-smoking and pets are not allowed.
Located in "central" Caribou, it is in-town living at its best.
  • We were pleasently surprised when we arrived because the Airbnb was much more spacious and had much more light than we thought from the pictures! Kate also was an excellent host in terms of knowing the local area and providing advice for our move to the area.

  • Stayed at the Tin Moose this past weekend on a snowmobile trip and everything was fantastic. Trail access is as advertised, you can see the trail from the house. Chris and his wife are great hosts. Communication was excellent and they even were able to accommodate an early check in without notice. The accommodations are great with plenty of amenities, above and beyond actually. They go the extra mile to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend the Tin Moose and I will definitely book again in the future.

It had internet for the first day so we were able to reach home but after that, the internet went down and we were off the grid for the rest of the week. Which was fine for us. It was a nice break. We had downloaded a few movies and when we were out in town we contacted whomever we needed. But it was a great break from the news cycle and gave a chance to connect. Highly recommended.

    Michael2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Great, comfy space with an awesome view and nice amenities from kayaks to a hot tub! Also, really enjoyed the propane stove for chilly nights!

  • This was by far the most amazing stay. Everything was there all we brought was food and cloths. And I mean everything. Little things we didn’t even think of bringing where available. House was beautifully decorated and so cozy. We were able to unwind and really relax.

Our home is located on a peaceful 60 acre vineyard and orchard that is farmed 100% chemical free. Guests have use of the second floor garage apartment as well as the 2 car garage; great for snowy and rainy days. Walk or snowshoe through the woods on our beautiful trails. Run, bike or walk on our quiet, country road. We’re sure you’ll love the neighborhood. Enjoy a cup of coffee or relax after your day on the back deck. Our sunsets are breathtaking!
Please take a few minutes to read the following and click onto photos of each room for more detailed information. Check out my guide book for things to do in the area. PLEASE NOTE: The apartment is at the top of an open stairway. The living room, twin and king bedrooms as well as the 3/4 bath are through a door that locks, away from the stairs. The queen bedroom and kitchenette are at the top of the stairs. AIR-CONDITIONING: The space has a wall mounted air conditioner in the kitchenette that cools the space when all the doors are left open. Kitchenette, queen room and living room get comfortably cool. Twin, king bedroom and bath less cool. The king room gets the morning not afternoon sun so will cool naturally during the evening/night. All rooms have fans. Living room, king and queen bedroom have thermal insulated sun blocking curtains. Kitchenette sliding glass door has encased blinds. No windows in the twin room and 3/4 bath (both have exhaust fans).
Our house is 9 miles from Presque Isle’s Main Street, 10 from Caribou’s and 11 from Easton’s, Limestone’s and Pearth-Andover New Brunswick, Canada’s. CLOSE BY: The Nordic Heritage Center offers hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking, disc golf and world class cross country skiing and is only 4 miles from us. It has hosted olympic events and is a beautiful facility! The Nordic also hosts fun, special events all year around. More information can be found on their Facebook page or website. The Aroostook Valley Country Club is 6 miles away; beautiful, challenging holes await. Their restaurant is seasonal and open for breakfast and lunch. Visit Monson Pond or the Aroostook River for kayaking, canoeing and fishing. Be sure to drive by the Amish homesteads while you’re in the area. Fort Fairfield and neighboring Easton have many. Our downtown is 3 miles away and has an IGA grocery store, a Walgreens, 2 gas stations - one with a Freshies and an ATM, a post office, a recreational center, a park with a playground and horseshoe pits, an elementary school with a playground, a walking trail along the river, a boat landing, a very nice town pool, tennis courts, a florist/gift shop, a beautiful library, a bank a credit union and a great restaurant called Boondock’s Grill. There are several other restaurants within an 8-10 mile radius; favorites listed in the house manual. THE POOL: We have a pool, but unfortunately our home owner’s insurance would nearly triple in order to allow short or long term renters to use it. It’s just too costly, sorry. Check out my guide book for places to swim/cool off in the area: big community swimming pool, awesome splash pad, beautiful lakes, indoor swimming pool, etc...
  • Everything about Judy’s place has been carefully thought out and it shows the moment you pull into the driveway. The entrance was marked clearly, the information she gave us beforehand was helpful, and the space was beautiful. We traveled with our two young children and they were both thrilled to see that one bedroom had books and toys for them to play with. If you’ve forgotten something there’s a good chance that she’s got you covered. There were toiletries, cozy comfort items, some snacks, coffee, and tea in the kitchenette. We had planned on snowshoeing in the morning but we had to change our plans in the morning. I can imagine the property is beautiful in the summertime. I can’t think of one thing I would change. It was a perfect place to rest and relax after a long night.

  • The place was great, Judy made everything very easy.

    Nick2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean and comfortable. Would definitely come back. The country location was very appealing. Great, quiet getaway!

    David2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • A very comfortable, welcoming place on a gorgeous vineyard! We had a wonderful time snowshoeing on the trails around the orchards and grapevines. The apartment was cozy and extremely clean. Judy thought of everything we could possibly need in terms of bathroom and kitchen supplies. I was especially grateful for the opportunity to park in the garage, as the it was quite cold out during our stay. We will definitely be back again!

    Paula2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • What an awesome stay, Judy is a terrific host! She thinks of absolutely everything! You get to park in a garage, apartment is so stylishly decorated and she thinks of everything....right down to hairspray and slippers. I will definitely stay again when I'm in the area!

    Shasta782020-01-20T00:00:00Z
  • This was our family’s second stay at Judy’s and I can only add to the excellent review I gave last time. This time Judy went above and beyond - there was a snow storm on the day of our departure and travel was going to be hard. So Judy let us stay an extra two hours to allow us to wait until conditions improved and even offered to let us wait it out even longer In the main house if we needed to. Thank you again, Judy!

    Kristen2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • Anyone going to Judy’s place can expect a spotless environment with the most comfortable bed in the world! There are many things offered in the kiddos room; games, books, etc. Its very quiet and pleasant.

    Kathy2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Judy was such a wonderful host. I stayed here for a clinical rotation for 5 weeks and Judy definitely made this “my home away from home”. She had numerous personal touches throughout and the place was sparkling clean. Communication was effortless. If I’m ever back in the area, I would definitely stay again. Hopefully in the summer this time to take advantage of the pool!

  • Vicky is very friendly and her apartment is very beautiful. It even has a chimney. The bathroom is huge and very nice. We could park our car in the garage (don't be scared. A dear dog sleeps there at night). It is in the basement without daylight and the boiler room is next to the bed room and it is a bit loud. In short, it is a beautiful accommodation somewhere in nowhere.

  • I was traveling to Caribou to visit my daughter who was racing in the Can Am Crown and I wanted a quiet place to stay. Nancy's home was perfect and exactly what I was looking for. The home was cozy and warm and Nancy was so welcoming, as we're here two beautiful lab girls. Whenever I travel to visit my daughter, I'm hoping to stay at this charming home. I cannot wait to see it during the summer months and walk along the river. Nancy and get home was a gem of a find! I will most certainly be back!

The fire pit is probably my favorite spot. I was able to enjoy the fall foliage and got snow as a bonus before I left. My stay was an extended stay 3 months. I will be going back. It in warmer weather. Nancy is very personable, sweet, kind and smart. I would HIGHLY recommend this as a most definite stop. You will not be disappointed.

We were able to cook, grill, nap by the fire, watch a few movies from their awesome collection, choose a game to play from their great selection, & go canoeing... they even supplied us with life jackets. We had a bonfire by the lake at night, and our son would wake up and go fishing first thing in the morning. I'm a very busy Chef and it was awesome to be able to reset in this magical place. I recommend it anyone that needs some soul healing. Blueberry Cottage is magical.

  • My friend and I had a wonderful stay at Greg and Donnas house. Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer! It was just a quick stop over on our drive to Louisburg. So beautiful that we plan to book and stay there on our way back to Ottawa. Beautiful claw foot bath with toiletries to use. Comfy beds. Nice scenery. Really friendly and accommodating- even offered us Almond Milk as part of the continental breakfast. :) Highly reccomend. :)

  • Awesome cabin ... four couples in our group for some Aroostook County ATVing ... trail access right from our doorstep and the riding in Northern Maine is the best we have seen! Plenty of room for a large group of a small family. You will not be disappointed in your stay ... any Jessie is great and will make sure you have a great stay. We will book again in the future.

  • We had a large group(14 people) stay at Jesse’s for a family reunion/golf tournament. Jesse’s father was readily available for questions. We had a great time playing cornhole and built a big fire to hang out at night. We will definitely come back!

  • Jesse was super responsive and accommodating. Very lovely cabin. Tons of space and two bathrooms! He had the basics for appliances. The bathrooms and bedrooms were clean. Very nice accommodations and private. Would definitely stay again.

  • This was my first Air BnB experience and all of the guests at the cabin including myself could not stop talking about what an incredible experience this trip was. The exceptional hospitality paired with all of the amenities made it so easy to have a stress free and relaxing weekend away from home. I cannot say enough great things about our stay and the accommodations. Thank you Jesse!

    Jenna2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • Jesse is the most incredible host! Not only was the cabin gorgeous, but it was in the prettiest location, as well. Jesse made sure we didn’t go without and made sure our trip was the most positive experience. I would recommend staying at any of the cabins! You will not be disappointed!

  • This is our second stay with Farrah. She is super responsive and very thoughtful. In fact she remembered I asked for a blender last time and offered to bring one over for me. 🙂This house was just what we were looking for. Easy access to local snowmobile trails, a large driveway with plenty of room to unload our sleds and space to unhitch the trailer too. It was just my husband and I but there are 3 bedrooms and plenty of room for a larger group. We found the place to be very clean with a well appointed kitchen and everything we needed to prepare our own meals. There is a washer and dryer on site and the space is pet friendly so we had all the comforts of home. We would highly recommend staying with Farrah. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

  • Loved staying here. Take note how close to Airport and Hospital. Owner very helpful. Having 3 bedrooms was so nice. We got snowed in and were able to walk to town. Host plowed and sanded promptly. Would stay again !

  • Farrah's was the perfect spot for my wife and I. We had our 4-year old son and our 14-year old dog with us. It has plenty of space for a large family and some of the coolest decor we've seen in our travels. Three bedrooms and a huge couch with lots of living room space and a nice open kitchen. It's only a half-mile from downtown and in a really nicely kept neighborhood with other beautiful homes. Check-in was easy, despite our last minute reservation. We came for the Holiday Light Parade and were't disappointed.

  • Todd is so accommodating!!! I arrived two days earlier than expected on my first visit, and because the place is off-grid he was not able to get my messages in time. I was welcomed with great grace and service despite my unexpected timing. I can say that Todd is a true eclectic (and eccentric) visionary, with a true desire to teach compassion, share knowledge, and be of service to the community, and that his place is not just a campsite, but a place where one can find a truly healing retreat and devoted Buddhist principles. The breathtaking natural land in the area sets the stage for a fine and magical place to go if you really want to connect with nature, meditate till your heart’s content, study, make art in the woods for a while, take some time off, share ideas, hike, garden, have a campfire, or simply have a change of pace...but don’t want to go fully rustic like trail-camping, and are open to meeting interesting people that are dedicated to healing and spiritual practice. There is a communal kitchen with a fridge, and an outhouse. It is a work in progress and everyone that comes through there adds their own special touch or contribution and makes it better! If Nature is your Temple, you will have a positive experience here.

This room has warm, cozy faux mink sherpa bed spreads and a view of exotic nut and pine trees. One may see the squirrels racing to harvest the nuts before we do! The built in desk has plenty of work space. These beds are both single beds.. Please also be aware that the price of $50 is for one guest and $60 for two guests. This includes a light breakfast with several options available. Please note that because of my allergies, I cannot accommodate pets or guests who smoke.
This lovely old Victorian home was built in the late 1890's by Sam White, the first pharmacist in Caribou. My husband's family purchased the home in the early 1900's, so it has been in our family for over one hundred years. This is the ancestral home of O.P. Pierson - brilliant inventor best known for his invention of the process for making frozen french fries.
My home is about a mile from the Cary Medical Center and Cary Rehab. If you are a medical person working in the area, this is very convenient.
  • Carol’s place is a perfect stay during a trip in Maine. The place is wonderful and she is incredibly hospitable. Would recommend anyone to stay at her place for a warm and welcoming experience.

  • My son and I decided to follow a favorite band of ours from the Boston area all the way up to the most Northeastern city in the continental US, Caribou, ME and needed a place to stay for one night of our trip. Boy did we luck out. Carol’s home in downtown Caribou is absolutely gorgeous and her hospitality is second to none I have ever encountered. If you ever find yourself traveling to this unique location in the far reaches of Northern Maine, do yourself a favor and make a reservation with Carol at this beautiful Victorian home. You will not be disappointed in the least!

  • My daughter and I were in Caribou briefly while visiting MSSM. Carol was very welcoming and attentive. She made sure we knew the ins and outs of the house before we ran to our appointment. Breakfast and conversation in the morning for a few minutes before we were out the door again for more school activities. We highly suggest staying with her.

    Jennifer2017-10-09T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was as described. Carol was a great host and the house was beautiful. If anyone is up in the Caribou area, you must do two things. Stay at Carol's place and go to the Northern Maine Brewing Company. The beer was great and the menu and food exceeded my expectations.

    Richard2017-10-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a beautiful Victorian house in a quiet residential neighborhood. It has been maintained very well with rich wood walls, bannisters, and cabinets. The 4 guest rooms are each unique and well furnished. The shared bath was very clean. Carol was an excellent hostess and very attentive to questions or concerns. She made us feel very welcome. She provided delicious blueberry pancakes the first morning and fresh crossaints the next day. I would definitely stay there again.

    Amy2017-08-22T00:00:00Z
  • My daughter and I had a fantastic experience at Carol's beautiful home. The accommodation were gorgeous and clean, with lots of little extras to make us feel welcome and spoiled... including a delicious and heathy breakfast each morning of our stay. We felt honored to stay in such a historic, lovely home with all the comforts and necessities to make for a special trip.

  • The BEST AIRBNB experiences I’ve had to date! As a fellow host I took away many little tips from Carol on how to be a wonderful hostess! Where to begin- the bed was incredible, room was toasty warm on this winter day, the breakfast was incredible, and Carol was such a joy to chat with during my visit. Her home is very clean and organized!

    Chelsey & Andrew2018-11-13T00:00:00Z
  • Carol's place was the absolute best! Her hospitality was amazing and we loved talking with her. Carol's breakfast was delicious and her house immaculate. The room was cozy and the bed was comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here and will be planning a stay back there.

  • We had an outstanding and lovely time at Carol's house. She has a very spacious home with lots of brochures about the area and our room was very comfortable, including the king size bed. She also made an amazing breakfast for us in the morning with homemade blueberry pancakes and brownies. She was extremely helpful with any questions that we had about a the area, and she thought of everything that we needed. Her home has an amazing location very close to everything in downtown Caribou. We walked everywhere and didn't need our car while we were there. We highly recommend this place!

    Kelly2018-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is my second time utilizing Carol's wonderful space. She's amazing, her home is beautiful, the bed is extremely comfortable and once again she treated me to the most delicious spinach and cheese croissant.
