The Cotton Wood Canyon Cabin offers all the luxuries of modern conveniences in an adorable 3 bed cabin space newly built in 2019. With a beautiful, rustic exterior, boasting large beams and a barn-like feel, this space truly captures the feeling of rural Montana.
This space has two bedrooms and one master suite each containing a queen bed. There is also a pack n’ play available should you need a sleep space for your little one. Roomy closet storage is available in each room along with blackout shades to help you sleep in complete darkness, even when the sun rises at 5am in the summer. Though this location is near I-90 and there is much daytime traffic, special care was taken to insulate each room well enough so the noise is not as noticible. The outside noises are minimum making the rooms calming for sleep. Every room in the house has radiant heat and it’s own separate thermostat. The kitchen offers plenty of space to cook for your family with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, and beautiful butcher block counters. Utensils, cookware and dining ware are provided on site. The kitchen also has a double sink and dishwasher for your convenience. The dining area seats 6 at a sturdy wood table. A high chair is also available for seating for a baby or toddler. The house is an open concept so you can enjoy your family and keep an eye on the kiddos while cooking. The living area has comfy sofas, a great entertainment center and faux fireplace creating a soothing atmosphere, perfect for snuggling up and watching movies or listening to music for background noise. It’s cozy, warm tones and hardwood floors create a relaxing, homey feel. Each bathroom has a heat light to keep you toasty while bathing and their beautiful custom built live edge wood slab countertops add extra rustic charm to this space. Top load washer and front load dryer are available as well as an iron and ironing board. Board games and yard games are available on site to entertain the whole family. The wrap around porch is an excellent area to sit and enjoy the beautiful Montana scenery. If you’re lucky, you might spot a moose or two, as they often frequent the area during the summer months.
This cabin is only a short walking distance from one of Montana's hidden gems, the North Boulder river, located on the historic Senator Cardwell's / Candlestick Ranch. It is great for fisherman in any season. 5 miles away the must-see Lewis and Clark Caverns state park offers cave tours from May-September and candlelight cave tours around Christmas. The Cardwell convenience store and gas station and Moose Crossing Sweets and Gifts shop is a minute away giving you the ability to have a yummy treat or morning pick-me-up without having to drive to Whitehall. This area is regularly inhabited by wildlife, especially moose in the summer. This centrally located Cabin offers endless outdoor recreation adventures for you and your guests to partake in, including Pipestone OHV area, floating, kayaking and fishing on the North Boulder, Jefferson or Madison river, visiting the Ringing Rocks, hiking or backpacking in the Tobacco Roots or several other close mountain ranges, and visiting the breathtaking Yellowstone National Park 95 miles away just to name a few. This conveniently located cabin has all you need for a family get-away vacation or a rural Montana hunting/fishing trip. We hope you come and stay with us to see all that Southwest Montana has to offer!
  • Great place to stay and conveniently placed if you are planning a trip to the Yellowstone National Park area.

  • We had a very relaxing and comfortable stay at the cabin. It’s a beautiful space with a great view of the mountains. Everything was sparkling clean, with comfortable beds and cozy linens. Wi-fi, Hulu, and Netflix kept us entertained as well. Highly recommend.

  • We had a great stay at Kipp and MiShai's. It's a beautiful cabin with a high standard of finishing and all the mid cons you'd expect. It's close to the highway, a good location for sightseeing. We checked out the Lewis Clark caverns, which were great, and Bozeman, which a lovely town.

The River Stone Cabin is a modern Montana cabin that sits next to the South Boulder River. The Cabin is comfortable and warm with bright spaces for friends and family. The front porch is the ideal resting place to watch and listen to the river flow past. There is fenced pasture on the 30 acres so you can bring your horses! We look forward to your stay at our "little piece of heaven."
There is a covered outdoor barbecue station with a propane grill if you enjoy outdoor cooking. There is also a fire pit at the edge of the river with ample firewood. This is a great spot to sit at night watching the fire and river flow past at the same time!
The River Stone Cabin is located in the Tobacco Root Mountains. We are located about 1 hour from the Bozeman Yellowstone airport. You will be just minutes away from fantastic hiking, mountain biking, and horse back riding trails. World class fishing on the "blue ribbon" Jefferson, Madison, and Gallatin rivers is right around the corner. Enjoy the natural hot springs and live music at Norris Hot Springs. The Lewis and Clark Caverns is another local wonder! For those who would like to use the cabin as an adventure base camp, Yellowstone NP is two hours away.
  • Great getaway! Cozy and private, will definitely stay here again!

  • Keith is a great host. He was very quick to respond to my email questions before we came and checked in with us when we arrived. Very knowledgeable of the area.

    Sue2019-10-20T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful, modern cabin with all amenities in an even more beautiful natural setting. Walked the dog down the road as the sun lit the surrounding mountains each morning, birds were chirping and the river broke the silence in the distance. We roasted hotdogs and grilled burgers over the campfire and ate riverside one night, and “dined in” the next. Great time. Gorgeous property!

    John2019-10-14T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great and unexpected find! A lovely secluded and private spot! Our dogs enjoyed running and playing in the large yard, the river running through was relaxing to listen to! The house was spacious and had everything we needed. We would love to come back for a longer stay.

  • Great place to get away!

    Will2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Keiths place is exactly what you see in the pictures. The land is so beautiful and it is so family friendly. The stream/river is so fun! The cabin is the perfect size with everything you need. It was an amazing experience.

    Emma2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful spot on the river. Loved playing corn hole on the lawn. Cabin feels well cared for with just enough details to help you feel at home and sparse enough so you don’t feel like you’re in someone else’s space.

    Laura2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • You will not be disappointed renting this cabin! The area is beautiful and peaceful, while close enough to drive into bigger towns should you need anything. Take the time to explore the National Forest and the Lewis and Clark Caverns! Keith was very thoughtful and checked on us every now and then to make sure we had everything that we needed.

  • Gayle (and her sweet family) were amazing! I stayed at this house for 3.5 months and could not have asked for more! The house was stocked with everything you could ever need, it was sparkling clean, safe, quiet, and super cute! The family was always so nice and made sure to visit each time we crossed paths. They were kind enough to watch for packages being delivered while I was out of town and watched the house for me several times while out of town. They were even kind enough to invite me to Christmas dinner in the chance I got snowed in and could not go home. The house its self if well maintained and up to date, the yard is immaculate, and the house looked brand new inside. This stay is EVERYTHING! If I every need to stay in this area or take another job opportunity here, there is no doubt on where I will be staying.

  • Out of the way and quiet. Just what we were looking for. Sharmen was very responsive and it was nice to have her close by in case we needed anything. We had everything we needed to be comfortable for our stay.

  • Fantastic hosts! Kind people and very friendly dogs. Beautiful location with a convenient drive to the river. They provide all of the amenities you would need, and have a wonderful space to gather with friends and family. We loved not having a TV to distract from our time together. The washer and dryer proved very helpful after a muddy dip in the river. Lastly, the cozy beds made for a great night’s sleep! Would highly recommend and hope to return soon.

  • Stunning view! Wonderful little place!

    Carly2019-11-25T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoy Montana here! Sharmen's place has an expansive view of the valley and offers an up close experience with the ranch. Horses, cows, chickens, goats, and friendly dogs. The space is rustic with a cabin-like feel. It's off the beaten path too (a few miles down a gravel road).

  • We arrived late and were able to settle in quickly and go right to sleep Sharmen had plenty of beds ready for us and our four teens. Beds were very comfortable, The home is older with lots of cute rustic touches. Our teens are in love with this home and the farm and would like to move there forever. Very clean, cozy and comfortable. Sharmen was a super hostess and even let us know ahead of time of a possible small GPS confusion and advised how to outsmart it. Washer and dryer in bathroom and a nice clothesline out to the side of the home. Well stocked kitchen full sized fridge, table and chairs. Really hope to come back again. Thank you, Sharmen for making us feel right at home!

  • This place was quite the value. Well worth every penny. If you want peace and beauty... this location is overflowing with it. Comfortable bedding, a kitchen to cook in, and did I mention the scenery? Definitely make a stop here along your travels.

  • Wonderful hosts and an incredible location. Everything was clean, quiet, and the hosts were kind and helpful. I will definitely stay there again if I'm in the area!

    Camilla2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • What a charming place! Great hosts-friendly, interesting, and fun to talk to, with a beautiful home! If farm life interests you, someone will surely show you around the farm and explain the intricacies. We wished we could have stayed longer!

    Morgan2019-07-30T00:00:00Z
  • Jenessa's and Michael's farm is such a great place - surrounded by beautiful mountains with lots of animals - it's almost like a little zoo. Our room, the bathroom and the bed were very comfortable and clean - and also very quiet. We really enjoyed being there a lot!

    Sascha2019-07-25T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed here for an event at the Copper K Barn, which is 11 miles away. The space was clean, and had everything I needed for a couple night's stay. The hosts were great at communication. They responded right away when I asked for regular sheets instead of flannel (in July - it actually was cold in the mornings). I wish I would've had more time to meet them and see the farm! One note - if you do take the Point of Rocks road between here and the Copper K barn - it is a gravel, rocky road. You may want a high clearance vehicle with good tires and if it's been rainy, there may be ruts.

  • Friendly hosts, VERY CLEAN space, beautiful. Will definitely book again if we’re in the area!

  • Michael and Jenessa's place is amazing. It was super clean and the location was absolutely gorgeous. It was easy to find and communication was fast and courteous. We loved the space and all the amenities they offered. There is nothing like having a great breakfast with beautiful Montana Mountains as the backdrop. The farm was really cool and added a lot to the experience. We definitely plan on staying here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a great spot to enjoy the best that Montana has to offer in a unique and creative way. Their family was amazing too. The kids are so polite and kind and it was a blessing to be around them. Thanks Michael and Jenessa!

We got in after dark, but the directions were very clear so we had no trouble finding the centre. Be sure to check out the labyrinth and the hiking trails—they were far more beautiful than we could’ve ever imagined.

Ghost Wolf Ranch Guest house is located on an 80 acre artist's private ranch and Old West Compound 50 miles west of Bozeman MT. We offer a unique and different Montana experience. Perfect for artists, photographers, writers, filmmakers, creative people and vacationers seeking an unforgettable stay. Experience rural Montana without the crowds and pressures of tourists sites. Create, contemplate and relax, visit several nearby historic locations or spend some time before or after Yellowstone.
The ranch house was built in 1950 and offers a unique charm all it's own. The fact that it is almost 70 years old adds some unique character. Inside are surprising and stunning views of the Tobacco Root Mountain range, pastoral meadows, and South Willow Creek ( named Philosophy Creek by Lewis & Clark) that runs though the North end of the property. The Kitchen is fully functional and great meals can be enjoyed at the kitchen table or on the sun deck. Dishwasher is temporarily out of order so it's a wash dishes the old fashioned way.
We are located at the East end of the historic rural ranching community of Harrison Montana just off of Old Mill Road. Harrison was settled in 1862 in the valley below the Tobacco Root Mountains where the mining town of Pony is located to the West. You may see an occasional swather or combine headed down the road driven by one of our local ranchers although once at the guesthouse you will experience peace and privacy. Wildlife is abundant and the property is frequented by deer and wild birds while shyer visitors like Moose, Eagles, Raccoons, Wild turkeys, Sandhills Cranes, Pelicans, Coyotes, Weasel ect are nearby. There is an occasional rattle snakes so good to be aware. South Willow Creek Runs from the Tobacco Root range down through our wetlands where walking trails are cut for your enjoyment. The town of 400 people offers an excellent Diner for breakfast and lunch, a small Grocery Store including beer and wine, and Post Office.
  • This house was just perfect for our family traveling with an 8 and 10 year old. The hosts took us on a wonderful tour of their amazing property and the kids got to run outside. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. Lots of space in the house and full kitchen meant we felt right at home.

    Christine2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • This place is a gem. The quiet solitude is wonderful. The surrounding views awesome. The hostess very helpful. Breakfast looking out of the picture window is fantastic and a wonderful way to start the day. House was clean and functional.

    John2019-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at The Ghost Wolf Ranch was exactly what we were looking for. Family/friends meeting up for one night and this ranch house offered us so much. We strolled down to the creek, sat on the back deck, and spent a lot of time looking out the big picture window from the dining room table. During our visit we saw several deer and one moose. The house was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed. Kitchen was well stocked --we stayed in and cooked dinner and breakfast. Kat and Rocky were super hosts --easy to communicate with and they spent a good chunk of their morning giving us a tour of the Old Saloon, General Store, and Cabin situated on their property. If you are in the area and looking for a unique overnight this is the place to book.

    Jaime & Telly2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Kat was so thoughtful and hospitable. We loved the tour of the Old West Outpost and the history. She even added a fresh bouquet of flowers from her garden on our kitchen table. This is definitely the place to stay to feel like you are transported back in time to the homestead era. It was so quiet and full of wildlife. Great bird watching, sunsets, sunrises and star gazing.

    Angela2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Ghost Wolf Ranch for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. Kat is a responsive and kind host. The home has incredible views from every window, two beautiful and relaxing outdoor areas, plenty of room for everyone to spread out, etc. The house is well-stocked with coffee and tea, and all the amenities you'd expect and desire for a comforting and enjoyable respite. We enjoyed having a cup of espresso on the deck in the morning sun, and a beer in the evening while looking at the stars. The old western outpost is very cool to visit and we loved taking photos while there. The property is 80 acres in all, with just the owners home and the guest home, the old west outpost and various outbuildings and barns. So, it's a terrific way to get away from civilization while still being just 15 minutes from I-90, a few minutes from the town of Harrison, and in close proximity to Yellowstone and Bozeman. I look forward to an opportunity to return to the ranch again soon.

    Travis2019-08-04T00:00:00Z
  • I was lucky enough to stay at this gem of an AirBnB during my work travels this week. Ghost Wolf Ranch is truly a unique experience. Our wonderful hosts Kat and Rocky who own the property are super friendly and knowledgable about the history of the American West. They’ve restored and created an authentic old west village that includes a saloon, mercantile, and cabin, complete with authentic antiques so that you actually feel transported to that time period. They happily gave us a tour of the grounds, and whiskey! Their attention to detail, passion, and respect for American history certainly shows. Do yourself a favor and spend a night or two at this place!

    Eric2019-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kat and Rocky not only have the coolest house in America, they are also the sweetest! Great house and the tour was amazing. Great people who I love dearly and would visit again. IF YOURE IN MONTANA YOU HAVE TO STAY HERE :)

  • This place was perfect for a getaway weekend. Quiet, remote, and peaceful. It was very thoughtfully appointed and had wonderful small touches. I'd love to give it a horrible review so I could keep it all to myself. Stock up on groceries and stay there to unwind and reconnect. We will be back.

    Jordan2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Our anniversary stay here was simply wonderful. The views were gorgeous, the house comfortable and inviting and every amenity and touch you could think it-and some you didn't! The carpet was plush and the bed was so comfortable. There isnt any way to describe the view looking out from the kitchen, living room or hot tub you just have to experience it for yourself. There isnt a tv which we were so happy about with all the games to play or books to read even just sitting and enjoying the peace and quiet. Kristi was fast to respond to any questions and I've got to say we cant wait to come back again. There were tons of thoughtful touches to make our stay more enjoyable and worry free. We went into Butte once during our 4 day 3 night stay to pick up some groceries since we came on christmas and didnt have enough simply out of necessity or we wouldn't have even left the cabin. We ended up eating dinner at Casagrandas which was delicious!!! This place really is a little slice of heaven....

  • What a perfect place this was to enjoy the peace, take in the surrounding beauty, reconnect with my husband and take some time to slow things down and relax from the fast paced life we live! This property is secluded and peaceful. We stopped at the grocery store before arriving to the home to get all necessary recipe items. The house was spotless and the kitchen was stocked with every utensil, spice and more that we needed to make all three meals a day. There were cute little added touches all around the home along with furnishings that made us feel cozy. We loved the hot tub and the oversized comfy bed with super soft sheets. Kristi was quick to respond with all questions that we had. Our entire stay was fabulous!

    Natasha2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • I LOVE THIS HOUSE. It's super cozy and comfortable. The views are amazing and the hot tub was so relaxing. This is a true secluded, romantic, beautiful spot. It was not hard to find by following their directions, just make sure you take them with you, because I did lose service on the way like Kristi & Koby said I would. It's definitely worth the drive! I loved the bed too, it's very comfortable and we both slept really well. There are lots of extra touches that make this a really special, great place to stay. We had a wonderful time, thank you!

Three Forks Saddlery began in 1947 and has been serving the western lifestyle in Southwest Montana and beyond for over 70 years. The business had some extra space and many customers came through looking for a unique place to stay so we decided to venture into vacation rental cowboy style!
Three Forks, Montana is a small town filled with friendly folks. There are cafes, a coffee shop, seasonal museum and the famous Sacajawea Hotel within walking distance. Venture a few blocks and enjoy amazing trails, parks and a 9 hole golf course. Just outside of town is the Headwaters of the Missouri river, the Lewis and Clark Trail and within an hour's drive of all the mountain activities your heart desires.
  • We had such a great time staying at this place! It’s super cute and very cozy. Staying in a small town was a lot of fun and we enjoyed learning about all the history of Three Forks. Would stay there again for sure!

  • This cabin is wonderful and the space is fairly well thought out. The beds were comfortable, with plenty of extra blankets. The shower is modern and invigorating, with a built-in heater in the bathroom that is quite helpful. The cabin is loaded with little personal touches that make it cozy and comforting. We spent our Christmas holiday with family in nearby Willow Creek but needed a place to sleep at night. The cabin came with an unexpected Christmas tree, complete with adorable cowboy decorations. This made our holiday all the more pleasant and welcoming.

  • Amazing place to stay! The cabin was super clean, easy to find, had everything we could've needed, and was decorated so cool! The host was wonderful, and seeing the saddle shop was above and beyond cool. The best Airbnb experience we've ever had.

  • Nicely decorated space. Very quick communications with host.

  • Joe’s place is a must. Walking distance to a grocery store, several restaurants, and gift shops!

    Nikki2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • The cowboy's cabin is small but wonderfully designed space. All kinds of great details in the place and the carefully selected furnishings. We enjoyed seeing all the small touches such as vintage cowboy novels, historic books on Three Forks and Dude Ranches. We were really comfortable. The only odd thing is no windows but the front door is glass and with a screen door too so it was just fine without any windows. A visit to the Saddlery is a must! Even my non-horse husband and sister in law loved it. We would definitely stay there again!!! All local recommendations for food and what to do were spot on and appreciated!

Our cabin is fun and playful, with a little western twang. It's located in the Tobacco Root Mountains, near the old mining town of Pony, Montana, and a beautiful 90 minute drive to Yellowstone Park. The view from the cabin is fantastic, looking east across the valley toward Bozeman and south to Big Sky. It is very private and remote with no nearby neighbors, sitting on 115 acres. Hiking, biking, horeseback riding, fishing, and ATV'ing right out the cabin door. Hot springs are also close by!
Our Dizzy Chicks cabin is a family-owned piece of paradise and dream come true that sits "off the grid" on 115 acres just 2 miles outside of the old gold-mining town of Pony. The entire cabin is run on solar power. Heat, if necessary, is available via a propane stove. Two downstairs bedrooms, one with a full size bed, one with 2 twin beds. Upstairs loft area/master suite with King size bed with amazing views. East end loft with 2 "nooks," each containing a full size bed. Sleeper couch downstairs. Full bathroom with shower/tub in addition to a very well-kept outhouse right off the deck steps. The kitchen is fully equipped with anything you may need to make a gourmet meal - just bring the ingredients. All appliances run on propane and are brand new. The wrap-around deck is the perfect space to relax and watch the day go by, or to gaze at the Milky Way once the sun set fades (which turns the mountain ranges orange and pink). Sun rises from the cabin are also amazing and worthy of getting up early for. You can actually watch the sun rise from the loft, lying peacefully in any of the upstairs beds. Please respect the Dizzy Chicks cabin and treat it as your own ..... this is a special place!
Pony is a charming little town set against the backdrop of the Tobacco Root Mountains. Don't miss the world famous Pony Bar with its old wood floors and Old West spirit. It doesn't get any more Montana than this! We are minutes away from world-class trout fishing, Norris Hot Springs and Ennis Lake. Yellowstone Park is less than 2 hours by car. Lewis and Clark Caverns is 30 minutes away. There are dining options within 15-30 minutes drive if you choose not to cook at the cabin.
  • The home is great! Spectacular setting and a very comfortable inside. I would reccomend to anyone.

  • Doreen was literally a life saver. We got married the day we stayed here and I was a wreck and forgot a million things, including straight pins for the buttonieres. She came to the rescue and had them on hand! Also the space is beautiful and the views are amazing. Doreen left us the sweetest gift, and we are so glad we chose to stay there!

    Sara2019-10-13T00:00:00Z
  • The most COMFORTABLE bed ever! Accommodations were very clean and the view from the yard was spectacular. If you are looking for luxury, this is probably not your place. However, it was everything we expected for our stay in Pony!

    Vicki2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great time at Doreen's place. The communication was super easy and quick and the place looks exactly like it does on the pictures (even bigger!). The apartment is very clean, quiet, and cool even on a hot summer day! The separate shower room is a huge bonus when traveling with a group! I would highly recommend this place!

  • We stayed at the Ball and Chain the night of a wedding we were attending at the Y Knot Barn. The wedding venue is a little too far to walk, but a super quick drive right down the road. It has everything you need; a cozy bedroom, kitchenette stocked with the essentials, plus thoughtful touches like handmade quilts good local coffee! Wonderful breakfast at the Town Hall Diner in Harrison at Doreen’s suggestion. Doreen and Doug were easy to communicate with and very helpful. Would most definitely recommend staying here.

  • This place is exactly what I would create if I was designing my perfect Airbnb unit! It's totally organic from the bed to the cleaning products and soaps, shampoo and conditioner, everything is doTerra and completely hypoallergenic... even though I was the first guest, there wasn't anything off gassing to affect my allergies! The thoughtful touches were evident throughout the space and I highly recommend visiting this rental if you need a great, quiet space for your next trip to the Whitehall area

  • Sage Mountain Center is a special place! We really enjoyed our time here investigating the trails, labyrinth and gardens and meticulous buildings. Every inch of this place has been groomed for comfortable, sustainable human space in the gentle mountain setting. My 19 year old nephew is in love with MT, he has attended Camp Mak-A-Dream, Gold Creek MT. A camp for families effected by cancer for several years and is making plans for his future in MT. Sage MT offered him another example of and connection to the independent and industrious spirit of MT that he seeks. Thanks you guys!!!

  • If you want to stay at an amazing, beautiful, peaceful place off the beaten track, this is it! It's worth the trip up the mountain. We stayed in the tipi two nights and really enjoyed it. Linda, Chris and Michael are very hospitable and informative. They have built a sustainable living center. It's off the grid and has all the amenities. We stayed here while attending the Montana Folk Festival in Butte. It was a great retreat from the busy event. It is so peaceful and beautiful, it could be a destination, not just a place to stay. There are hiking trails, wonderful gardens and a labyrinth to walk. Linda and the crew made everything easy and we felt so at home. Absolutely loved it!

    Constance2019-07-15T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic spot, had to stay in the cabin due to unseasonably harsh weather, but I fell in love with the whole property! You won't be sorry!

  • Linda was wonderful to work with! Super responsive and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tipi!

    Alyssa2018-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • Unbelievable place to stay! My fiancee and I were both a little iffy about the fact that it we were only but clothe away from the nature of the great Montana woods but Linda made us feel nothing but safe and gave us an outlet in case our nerves had gotten the best of us. We ended up staying the whole night in the tipi because in the end we knew it would be fine and it was a wonderful sleep! (Of course I had bear spray at the ready next to the cot just in case haha). Would absolutely recommend this if you're trying to get more than just an average experience in or around Butte as far as stays go. Will most certainly be back someday!!

This beautiful hand hewn cabin of cottonwood logs from the banks of the Bighole river is located 400 feet off the county road nestled in a patch of cottonwoods, providing a peaceful, shaded, and private setting with deer, moose, sand hill cranes, and herons. It is within walking distance to fishing on the Jefferson River. Also near the Ruby, Bighole, Beaverhead, and Madison rivers. There is also private fishing in a spring creek on the ranch.
Walk inside and see the beautiful workmanship that went into this cabin! Utterly quiet and peaceful, this space is the perfect getaway for families and couples or singles alike. You definitely have the place to yourself. We are available to help you plan trips or guide you, but you can also be on your own if that is what you wish.
Our neighborhood is pretty quiet. Sandhill cranes, coyotes, songbirds, cattle in the winter and spring.

  • Provided directions were easy to follow. Pictures in the listing is exactly what I found. Communication and arrival departure were seamless. The area is remote and quiet and full of wildlife. Occasionally you hear a car going down the road, but you can't see them and it's only a couple times a day. It provided exactly the quiet relaxing weekend I wanted. I would definitely stay again.

    Jeremy2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • This cabin was everything we could have hoped for and more! Absolutely beautiful, private, quiet and immaculately clean. We used it for a couple of nights for a honeymoon getaway but also talked about how perfect it would be to stay there with family and friends. We didn't have much of a need to contact the hosts for any reason but the one time we did, they responded right away. We would definitely stay here again!

  • We really liked this location and cabin best of our whole week in Montana. It was a great find hat felt very out in the woods/nature, but with easy access to Fishing and to some food spots and groceries and a bar in Twin Bridges (12 min drive). There is nothing in Silver Star so come with food and drink. The cabin is well stocked and clean and was surprisingly cool inside for the 90s we experienced while there. The decks on both sides of the upper level were a highlight for morning coffee and evening sunsets. Highly recommend if you’re looking to get away and fish while in Montana.

  • Such a great spot to relax for the night!

  • Holy smokes! This was amazing! The kids got to see the animals and play with Michael and Jenessa's kids. This stop was an unexpected bonus on our way up to Canada. We booked last minute and Jenessa was quick to reply. The property is idyllic, the beds were comfortable, the wifi worked well, and the host family was so kind! We couldn't be happier!

Enjoy a long weekend getaway in this charming Tobacco Root Mountain retreat. Just an hour away from Bozeman, this off the grid cabin is located 2 miles above the historic mining town of Pony, Montana. Pony Creek flows through the nearly 5-acre property that is fully fenced and surrounded by public lands with hiking trails leading right out the back door. This is a great retreat for a getaway with extended family or a large group of friends.
Constructed in 2011 with meticulous details, the main cabin includes kitchen, bathroom, dining room and living room featuring a beautiful stacked stone fireplace and a large covered porch overlooking Pony Creek. There are two sleeping cabins separated from the main cabin by a boardwalk that are currently configured to sleep up to 8 people. Main Cabin has solar powered electricity, a back-up generator, propane heat and propane lanterns. Each sleeping cabin has propane heater and a propane lantern with no electrical power. The main cabin has Wi-Fi, a TV and DVD player. There is a cell phone booster to increase cell reception within the main cabin. The sleeping cabins have various sleeping arrangements, including bunk beds and a toddler bed, and can accommodate up to 8 comfortably. Guests can access a fire pit along Pony creek from a short path from the cabin.
Quiet mountain setting with access to public lands from the property. Other nearby attractions include Norris Hot Springs, Lewis & Clark Caverns, Yellowstone National Park, Harrison Lake, Ennis Lake, and world-class trout fishing on the Madison River and Jefferson River. A stop at the nearby Pony Bar is a must!
  • Sitting in the cabin, by the fire, watching it snow through the windows while the smell of the turkey was coming from the oven on Thanksgiving day was AMAZING. The location and feel of the Cabin was very peaceful. Ryan was the best at communication, answered all my questions, kept me updated on road conditions, Giving maps & directions, showing us around the place and giving all the details. They had everything we needed in the cabin to cook our thanksgiving dinner. There was super fun card games to play. It was stocked with wood for the fire place. Everything was just perfect! we can't wait to come back!

  • Great location! We stopped here overnight on our trip from Glacier National Park to Yellowstone National Park. Neal and Ruth's place was accurately described and they communicated clearly for a comfortable stay. Our rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the spacious family room with comfortable seating, fridge, and dining table. The suggestions for places to eat nearby were helpful. Would definitely try to stay again if we should travel that direction in the future.

  • Neal and Ruth’s place was exactly as described. They are warm and welcoming but you have privacy as the entire second floor is dedicated to AirBnb guests. Neal gave me some great tips on visiting Yellowstone as well. This place is in a quiet neighborhood of a small town but is very close to the freeway. Would definitely stay again!

  • Awesome stay in Montana. We booked a last minute stay here for a pit stop on our roadtrip from Seattle, Wa to CT! (Boy was that one heck of a trip, but we made it safe and sound). Neal and Ruth are great hosts, friendly, had great tips on food suggestions and local attractions. Their home consists of an awesome living room upstairs for guests. We watched 47 meters down on Netflix and literally chilled! Ha, ate local pizza and had a very nice experience. Thank you!

  • Such a wonderful place to rest my weary head traveling across the area. Bed was comfy and you can tell the hosts had a lot of thought put into communication and amenities for their guests. I did get a chance to meet the kitties on my way in and out of the property which was a huge plus!! This was a tremendous value and way much more than I expected.
