Before booking please see booking details under The Space below.... The Barn is a recently converted, luxury romantic retreat situated in a secluded, hidden valley overlooking the Warleggan river. Surrounded by wildlife, majestic oaks and bluebell woods, it is within easy reach of many of Cornwall's unique locations.
A beautiful, recently converted (2016) stone barn in a private 14 acre estate with stunning views of the Glynn valley overlooking the Warleggan river, The Barn at Lower Tredinnick provides a luxury detached cottage with everything you need for a total escape from it all. Booking details: We offer a 3 day weekend break (arrive Fri, leave Mon) and/or a 4 day mid-week break (arrive Mon, leave Friday) or any combination of these, particularly during standard UK holidays (high season). In 2020 these are: spring half term 14-24 Feb, Easter holiday 3-19 April, summer half term 22 May - 1 June, summer holidays 24 Jul - 7 September, autumn half term 19 Oct-2 Nov, Christmas & New Year 2020 negotiable. Out of high season, we are often happy to be flexible so please do get in touch if Mon - Fri or Fri - Mon doesn't suit your plans. The Barn is designed by award winning sustainable local architects, Arco 2. Heated throughout by an under-floor eco air-source system, fully insulated and double-glazed, you will always be warm and comfortable. Electricity is 100% renewable. The kitchen is equipped with A rated dishwasher, washer drier, induction cooker, fridge freezer, toaster, electric kettle and all you might need in a home from home (if there is something you need that's not there we will endeavour to provide it). We supply a small honesty larder of basics, such as tea, coffee, oil and vinegar, salt, pepper & herbs; please replace what you use and/or add to the store. The living room has a French "Godin" woodburner with a generous supply of free logs, providing extra warmth in the winter months and a large comfortable sofa with wonderful views over the valley. There's a wireless music system for you to plug into, books, rainy day games, maps and local information. There are bifold glass doors which give access to a balcony where you can sit and enjoy meals outside. We have a charcoal barbecue & utensils you can borrow, just ask and bring your own charcoal. Upstairs, there is modern shower room and the bedroom has a comfortable king size double bed and all the space you need to store your belongings. It is decorated in a restful blue and is further enhanced with soft lighting. There are french windows leading to a secluded south facing patio where you can sit out and lose yourself in the peaceful surroundings. Please get in touch for any further information. We are sometimes able to be flexible about arrival and leaving times depending on our bookings. We have a travel cot for babies (babes in arms) if needed at no extra charge. Unfortunately we are not able to accomodate children due to the wild nature of the property (built on the edge of a substantial drop and near a river, etc.) We cannot accommodate dogs or any pets as, however pleasant and obedient, they do have an effect on the local wildlife, which we are trying to encourage. Please bring your own beach towels.
This is cornish countryside at its best. Walk in the woods or stroll by the river. Or just sit outside and enjoy the view. Buzzards fly over head, marsh tits feed on our feeder and the butterflies and wild flowers are prolific. There is no light pollution so on cloudless nights the stars are fantastic. Watch out for shooting stars!
  • If you love to wake up with the sound of the river and birds and the love of nature. This is the perfect place. It has all the facilities to make you feel as if the real home. Private land which is really huge and no disturbance from anything. Complete take away from the city life. Calm and quite. Big lounge and an amazing balcony facing the river. All the utensils in kitchen as if it's your home. Welcomed us with cakes. Clean and perfect facilities. We love it and would surely go again.

  • Staying at the Barn was more than we hoped it would be. The location is perfect for some relaxing quality time away from the routines and madness that can sometimes be life. The Barn is stylish and decorated to a high standard. Everything was clean and very comfortable. The welcome touches from Hugh and Kiki were lovely. We would recommend for anyone to stay at the Barn, it was quiet, very comfortable, very clean and we were able to truely switch off for a few days. We loved the remote surroundings and just being able to look out over the river and see the wildlife. The pub not far from the Barn also provided us with a lovely meal. Thank you Hugh and Kiki for a lovely stay.

  • The Barn was immaculate, and perfect for a hideaway after our wedding. Hugh was a fantastic host, and we really appreciated the extra touches that made our stay very special. The house was comfortable, peaceful, and had everything we needed for a great stay. It was lovely waking up to the sounds of the river and the birds each morning. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Set in 3.5 acres of paradise on the edge of Bodmin moor. A crystal clear stream meanders through woods with two waterfalls, a beautiful lake and bridges. Our own pine forest and Decked bbq and hot tub area. Millpool Lodge has entrance lobby, a lounge, two bedrooms, kitchen, two toilets, shower and outside seating. Close to Eden project, Polzeath, Rock, Fowey, Cardinham Woods, Camel Bike Trail, Siblyback and Colliford Lakes Lanhydrock House, and the open moorland walks with abundent wild life .
A truly magical garden. Full of wildlife, squirrels, rabbits and goldfinches and even herons and ducks flock to the lake and stream. Two bridges and waterfalls provide calming back ground sound. You will not want to leave this little piece of paradise. There is decked bbq and hot tub area with night lighting ideal for socialising and enjoying the great views. A picnic area through the pine woods creates an ideal day time area for play and keeping fit . In the more formal part of the garden there is a fountain and night time lighting, with plenty of places to sit and enjoy an evening by the stream and lake. We like to encourage the wildlife, so we leave areas of the meadow, woods and lake free for the wild flowers to grow and encourage some of our rarer wildlife in to the garden. The Lodge has two bedrooms one double bedroom and one small bedroom with a sturdy bunk bed with comfortable mattresses. Ideal for 2 adults and 2 children. We also have a travel cot available. There is a footpath leading to Cardinham woods, and direct access to the moors. We are close also to Lanhydrock House, Colliford Lake, Siblyback Watersports Park, and Eden project and St Breward (Poldark Country). Easy access to both the south and north coast. Lovely Fowey being our nearest south coast venue, and Polzeath, Rock and Padstow on the north coast. Particular mention should be made of the excellent cycle trails from Bodmin to Padstow via Wadebridge, and also the cycle track from Bodmin up to the Moors. Cardinham and Lanhydrock woods also have amazing national cycle tails - Ideal for a family bike trip and highly recommended. We also offer a range of watersports activities. A day out on our 7.5 Jeanneau power boat visiting all the coves and beautiful waters of the Fal estuary. Wakeboarding and waterskiing, coastal kayak tour to get close to nature and visit some of our quiet and inaccessible coves. We can also advise on a complete list of activities as we are ideally placed to enjoy both north and south coast. We are right on the edge of an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The moors are exceptionally quiet and beautiful at any time of year. For getting in touch with nature and beautiful landscape it cannot be beaten. Moorland cattle and ponies mingle with Stags and Roedeer making an idyllic country scene. We are central to all areas in Cornwall being half a mile from the arterial A30. So an ideal spot for exploring wonderful Cornwall. We are always happy to offer advice to make the most of your holidays. The gardens are magnificent at any time of year, and you will find great tranquility and beauty in this wonderful garden.
We are close to the Eden Project and just 12 miles from either the north or south Cornish coast. On the edge of Bodmin Moor which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Close to Lanhydrock, Eden Project, Siblyback Lake, Colliford Lake, Camel Trail, Cardinham Wood Walking and Bike Trails, Fowey and Rock and Polzeath. There are many wonderful walks and places of historic interest to visit. We are also just half a mile from the main artery A30 which means you have easy access to the whole of Cornwall. We will leave a guide of recommended places to visit. But always check out the Conrwall Tourist Board site it has loads of information.

  • Jenny was a great host. Great communication before we arrived, fresh homemade scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival. We were given a map of her massive garden and were allowed to explore. Jenny have us plenty of suggestions on places we could visit. The house is a little out of the way but if you have a car, it’s no problem!

  • Our stay at Jeremy and Kay’s shepherd’s hut was really special. Right from booking, their communication was excellent and we had such a lovely warm welcome. Perched on the edge of their farm, the views from the hut are beautiful. The hut itself is stylish, sparkling clean, relaxing and cosy, with everything you could possibly need, including the wonderful hot tub! Jeremy and Kay’s thoughtfulness and attention to detail was lovely, such as scones, a birthday card and a log fire waiting for us on arrival. They also gave us some handy tips on local activities and places to see. I couldn’t recommend their place more!

  • Jeremy and Kay were very welcoming. From the scones and the fire at our arrival to the bubbly for new year's eve, they thought about everything to make these few days a magical stay for us ! Everything was clean, well decorated. The Jacuzzi after a day out visiting was so nice. Thanks again for everything! We had the best time :-)

  • A very beautiful and perfect shepherds hut in a peaceful location. If you are considering staying, go for it, you won't be disappointed. Kay is a lovely host (we didn't meet Jeremy) and you have the added bonus of the adorable Poppy 🐾

    Julie-Ann2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • 5* honestly isn’t enough. There are so many gorgeous little touches throughout the hut and after speaking with Jeremy and Kay it was lovely to hear that they made it from scratch, just made it all the more special. Being greeted every morning and return by little Polly was lovely too. Felt honestly like home away from home. The evenings sat in the hot tub were just absolute perfection. It’s really close to lots of things to do but also feels so secluded and special. We will 10000% be returning. Cannot thank Jeremy and Kay enough!

  • This is a gem of a cottage. More specious then on the pictures. Lovely rural location with excellent views. Be prepared to drive on narrow roads though (it’s part of the experience though). Hannah is very attentive and very swift in her communications. Very much enjoyed our stay there.

Bodmin, with all amenities, including various large supermarkets is 7 miles away.Bodmin Moor, bisected by the newly expanded A30 is home to one of Cornwalls Areas of Oustanding Natural Beauty. Reaching a height of 1,377 feet above sea level at Brown Willy, Cornwalls highest point. The heather covered granite moorland provides East Cornwall with the most stunning country views and rugged walks. Near Blisland you will find two of Cornwalls stone circles, the Trippet Stones and Stripple Stone Henge and just round the corner, one end of the famous Camel Trail. The 18 mile Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths, providing a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge out to Padstow, eminently suitable for families. The National Lobster Hatchery at Padstow neighbours Rick Steins empire on the North Coast. The Bodmin and Wenford Railway, the first steam operated railway in Cornwall, takes in 13 miles of countryside. Also just outside Bodmin is the Camel Valley Vineyard who have been winning awards for their home grown wine for the past 20 years. The National Trust have three properties nearby Lanhydrock House, Trerice and Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps. Slightly further afield is the Eden Project in St Austell.North Cornwall is as famous for its rugged coastline as it is for its surfing. You can hire surf boards and equipment from Polzeath, up as far as Bude and Widemouth Bay. Boscastle is the only natural harbour for 20 miles and at low tides and certain weather conditions you can find a blowhole at the mouth of the harbour. Tintagel brings with it legends of King Arthur and the remains of Tintagel Castle can be visited on foot. Nearby Camelford is rumoured to be the Camelot of legends past, and the finding of 'Arthurs Stone' in 1998 has only fuelled these myths. On Bodmin Moor, Dozmary pond is thought to contain Arthur's Excalibur, and Merlin is thought to be still found walking under Tintagel Island. Port Isaac is the location of the televisions series Poldark and more recently Doc Martin, as well as being a gorgeous working fishing village.Bodmin Jail built in 1778, notorious for its public executions by hanging, was the first jail to be built housing inmates in individual cells. The Jail closed in 1927 and is now a museum open to the public, which during the First World War housed the Crown Jewels and the Doomsday Book. The famous Camel Trail follows the route of the old railway along traffic free paths for 18 miles, providing the whole family with a fairly flat cycle through Bodmin and Wadebridge, and out to Padstow where you can sample Rick Steins famous Fish and Chips. The market town of Launceston is the capital of Cornwall and well worth a visit to see the church of St Mary Magdelene, with granite carvings, unusual among Cornish churches.
  • Badgers cottage is an absolutely lovely place to stay and I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a cottage in a tranquil rural location.

  • I had a great stay at The Bothy. Libby was lovely -polite, friendly and welcoming without being intrusive. The accommodation itself was small, as described, but was absolutely fine for one person. Self-contained and only a few metres from the main house, it contained everything that you could need, with some nice touches like cotton buds in the bathroom and a torch in the bedside drawer. It was a cold night, but the heater in the room was adequate and it was a nice surprise to find an electric blanket on the bed. Breakfast was delicious -full English with locally sourced ingredients with fruit, yoghurt, cereals, home made bread all to hand. Thanks Libby for as very comfortable stay.

    Sheila2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • That was a great place to stay. Best location if you want to see Bodmin Moor and discover the secrets of Jamaica Inn :-) Perfectly clean and prepared. Libby serves the best English breakfast I ever had. They gave me a super tips to see Seashore. Thank you very much Libby and Mike. Martin

  • You can expect a warm, friendly welcome. The accommodation was comfortable and spotless and although The Bothy was small it had everything one needed and was very comfortable. Breakfast, and I had the full English, was very tasty - not greasy - and I can recommend the home- made granola and marmalade!

The garden Studio is a sunny king size annex ringed with windows, it's own garden entrance & en suite bathroom - French Press (cafetiere) and tea, coffee, milk and croissants for your first morning's breakfast. In the centre of Blisland, a gorgeous village with a green, church, a shop/post office with cafe & The Blisland Inn, award winning pub, a short stumble away. We are on the edge of Bodmin moor with miles of views, walks & wild ponies, only a mile from the Camel Trail & Cycle route 3.
The Artists Studio www.airbnb.co.uk/h/cornish-hideaway THE HOUSE The house is set just off the village green and near to the popular pub, the Blisland Inn, in the very beautiful village of Blisland on the edge of Bodmin Moor. It feels very quiet and rural but is only 5 minutes off the main A30 and 10 minutes away from Bodmin with all the ameneties and shops. The Studio is an annexe of our house with a king size bedroom and en-suite bath, and has its own private entrance from its designated parking space, through the garden and to the French doors into the room. Here’s some of the details on this Cornish hideaway. - Private access - Designated parking space - King size bed (or two singles if requested in advance) - En-suite bathroom with full bath, shower over, lots of towels, airing cupboard, hair drier, iron and compact ironing board, chest of drawers and basic toiletries - At one end of the main room is a small dining area with table and chairs - Small refrigerator for milk and other necessities - Toaster - Plates, cutlery, coffee cups, wine glasses and water filter - Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and croissants for first morning are provided as well as a selection of cereal boxes – so you don’t need to think about breakfast for your first morning with us. THE GARDEN You will have almost exclusive access and use of our beautiful back garden. Right outside your door is a granite paved patio with garden furniture and a chiminea for warmth on chilly evenings, so make yourself a cup of coffee and sit out in the sun and enjoy the tranquility of our idyll. You also have use of our lawn but please note there is a sunken feature in the garden we affectionally call the sump with a small trickle of a river running through it. We rarely come into the back garden so you can feel very private there. PARKING You have your own parking space for the Artists Studio which leads right into the back garden and to the door to the room. EATING OUT There are no cooking facilities provided but there is a small fridge and a toaster, you are welcome to bring supplies and eat in the studio, but if you would like to eat out the nearest is the Blisland Inn which is a 2 minute walk away, they do good pub classics and a superb Sunday lunch (book ahead for that). Within a 6 mile radius you have other pub grub options, St Tudy Inn has a very well though of restaurant that has received Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2017. The St Maybyn Inn is also known for their food and the S Breward Inn has a famous carvery. If you fancy a fancy meal, Rick Stein’s at Padstow is only 15 miles away. GREAT FOR COUPLES- The Studio is the perfect size for a couple wanting a getaway to the countryside and enjoy a little peace and quiet, and with the pub just next door you need never leave the centre of Blisland if you don't feel like it. GREAT FOR CYCLISTS – The Studio is on national Cycle Route 3 and lies less that a mile from the Camel Trail an 18 mile off road permissive way that runs along the River Camel from St Breward to Padstow along an old railway track. The Camel Trail is used by cyclists, walkers, joggers and horseriders. If you like a more demanding route we are only a mile away from Bodmin Moor where you can cycle for hours and hours. For trail riders there is the new mountainbiking trails at Cardinham Woods and Lanhydrock. GREAT FOR WALKERS – The Artists Studio is just off Bodmin Moor with hundreds of miles of footpaths and ancient monuments to explore including Neolithic hut circles, stone circles, ancient field systems and the 1000’s of years of habitation remains at Roughtor and Brown Willy. We are also within easy reach by car of the Cornish Coast Path with 100’s of miles of coastline walks GREAT FOR NATIONAL TRUST MEMBERS – We are about 6 miles away from Lanhydrock one of the Trusts most popular stately homes as well as many other Trust properties. GREAT FOR SURFERS, BEACHLOVERS AND WILD SWIMMING ENTHUSIASTS – The Studio is a half hour drive from Polzeath Beach with fantastic surf and lots of surfboard and wetsuit hire options as well as boutiques and restaurants. We are also not far from the fantastic surfing beaches of the Newquay area and within easy reach of the more gentle beaches along the south coast if you enjoy wild swimming. GREAT FOR EXPLORERS – If you enjoy visiting quaint fishing villages like Port Isaac – where Dr Martin is filmed, Padstow or Fowey – Daphne DeMaurier’s old haunt then this is a good base to explore from.
Blisand is in the heartland of North Cornwall, Bodmin Moor, where you will find hundreds of miles of trails and where herds of wild ponies roam free. Bodmin Moor is littered with Neolithic sites and mysterious stone circles. Because of our central Cornwall location we are near both the North and South coasts so if you love surfing head North to Polzeath or Newquay or if you prefer a gentler seaside experience head south to explore the coves and villages around Fowey and Mevagissey. If you are a fan of Doc Martin and Poldark lots of filming sites are within easy reach of us such as Port Isaac the location of fictional Port Wenn and Poldark's house is up on the moor only 3 miles from us. If your kind of holiday involves roaring fires and good food there are many wonderful pubs and restaurants near us and I am happy to make recommendations.

  • We had a nice stay at Christina's place. The room was spacious enough for a short stay. The bed was large and comfy and the bathroom was a decent size also. The entrance and parking to the room was in a great location to get to the local pub which was convenient for a bite to eat. We also loved our little 4 legged house guest (one of the cats) who came to check out her new guests. Christina was thoughtful enough to provide oat milk and some vegan treats even though we had a last minute booking.

    Brooke2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • The artists studio is a fantastic place to stay. Great value, really well kitted out. Christina is generous in offering to help with anything. There are lots of lovely personal touches in the space. It’s a great location close to A30 and a short drive for the Eden project, the Camel trail, Port Isaac, Tintagel, Padstow and Rock. The bed is a super king size bed -and comfortably accommodated 2 adults and our 5 year old! We look forward to staying again in the future.

  • Christina's place is gorgeous. Really cosy and comfortable in a beautiful little village on the green. It's the perfect place to explore the area and Christina will make you feel really welcome. A wonderful place to stay!

A modern converted garage situated a short distance from the historical town of bodmin, yet still close enough to the A30 to get around Cornwall easily. One bedroom but can sleep up to 4 using the double sofa bed. Can also offer a travel cot if needed. Property benefits from under floor heating and a wetroom. On road parking and Wi-Fi.
It's very quiet here. the neighborhood is lovely and friendly. The views are spectacular. The road isn't very busy there's not much traffic. Little Beatrice isn't overlooked so it's quite private. It's just a nice area and we think you'd enjoy spending time here.
  • Wonderful little apartment in a converted garage however you don't feel like your in a garage one bit . Lots of lovely little touches including fresh flowers and breakfast basket. Definitely recommend if your want to stay in the area.

  • We stayed here for approx 1 month, due to our house build being delayed... perfectly sized space for 2 people and we felt right at home with the thoughtful added touches. It was clean and beautiful, just as advertised! We would definitely recommend to anyone who is visiting the area. Kiya and Dane were very quick with their replies and always on hand if we needed them. Great value considering the overall place, location, and free parking! We would not hesitate to visit again (although hopefully we will have our own house in Cornwall soon). Thanks again! :)

Perfectly located in mid-Cornwall, 15 mins from the A30 and A38, so ideal for exploring all parts of Cornwall, with many beautiful beaches and historic villages only 30 mins away.

There is also a children's play park and village green, with the local shop 300 yards away.
  • Beautiful cosy cottage with amazing views. Location was perfect for exploring Cornwall. Loved every moment of our stay and would love to come back again.

    Mary-Anne2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • We had a super time at this little hidden gem in the most gorgeous village of St Neot. Bearing in mind we arrived during Storm Dennis, the weather did not effect our stay. Ray met us when we arrived and showed us into the property making sure we knew where everything was (a nice touch with the notice board with local information on). We soon settled and relaxed and enjoyed the open plan downstairs, which is a great size space. The place is very clean and tidy too with everything you could need in the kitchen. We all slept very well each night (despite the rain and wind), felt comfortable and at home, and had everything we needed for a 'home from home stay'. The children loved the place, their room was huge, with so many things for them to do-they didn't even get round to opening the trunk with the games in! Lots of things for all ages too. Elmo (our dog) loved the place too!!

    Daniela2020-02-20T00:00:00Z

  • Wow what a fantastic place! The photos really don't do the Old Classroom justice - it's incredibly spacious. We stayed for 6 days with our 9month old son. It was ideal for a cosy winter break with a curious baby - he enjoyed exploring the large space and the kids bedroom was great for him. We loved the fire and watching the stars from the balcony. The shower is also awesome! Be aware if you're not a very confident reverser the parking space is tricky.

    Jenni2020-01-18T00:00:00Z

Bodmin was the former county town of Cornwall for many years and the only Cornish town to be recorded in the Domesday Book, which was lodged in the town's prison during the First World War. The county prison is now a museum and open to the public. It was the first prison in the country to have separate cells. The oldest part of the town is made up of mainly granite buildings clustered around the Bodmin Beacon. The Beacon is a 144 feet tall obelisk in memory of Sir Walter Raleigh Gilbert. The area around the Beacon which has woodland and traditional hay meadow was declared a Local Nature Reserve in 1994.Nearby Bodmin Moor, bisected by the newly expanded A30 is home to one of Cornwalls Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
  • We enjoyed our stay. Nice accommodation and good central location for our day tripping to likes Eden Project, Padstow, Heligan gardens and camel trail.

  • The Tractor Shed is a lovely little spot in Bodmin which is centrally located in Cornwall so most attractions are not too far. It is also close to the town centre which has a few pubs and restaurants. The actual property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - underfloor heating is great for when it got a bit chilly. We had a fantastic time in Cornwall - if you like walking, the camel trail is not far and Bodmin Moor is a short drive away. We had a lovely holiday in the Tractor Shed and will be returning to Cornwall in the future. PS. The scones and clotted cream were a really special treat on arrival - thank you.

    Sharon2019-05-25T00:00:00Z
  • I stayed at Richards lovely tractor shed while on a business trip in the area. It served its purpose perfectly allowing me a great nights sleep, easy access to central Bodmin as well as decent facilities to prepare my own meals in the kitchen. I see myself returning in the future for both business and pleasure.

We loved the cream tea when we arrived and the underfloor heating is fantastic! A great little find. Also great communication from the team at Cornwall Cottages.

  • We absolutely LOVED staying here!! Denise and Ray have been amazing hosts throughout the duration of our stay. Denise and Ray are by far the nicest people we have met and we ended up staying with them for approx 2 months, whilst in the process of relocating. We honestly can't thank them enough for everything they have done for us. They are both very laid back, friendly and make you feel extremely welcome in their lovely home. The attic is nice, clean and spacious, with the luxury of an ensuite. Immaculately clean throughout, fresh bedding and towels every week and the beds were super comfy. You can also control your own heating which was a bonus, especially on those chilly mornings. We didn't want to leave as it felt like home, not a hotel or BnB. We feel we have made friends for life and already planned to pop back and visit them. Definitely recommend! :)

A lovely little hideaway in the heart of Bodmin, The Annex is a small, detached cottage within easy walking distance to all amenities. Bodmin is located in central Cornwall and is a great base to explore the rest of this beautiful county. Approximately a 15 minute drive to both North and South coasts and some stunning places nearby, including Padstow and Port Isaac (home of Doc Martin!). Bodmin has a number of good pubs and takeaways within a two minute walk, as well as tourist attractions.
  • Our second stay at The Annex. It really is a little hidden gem in the centre of Bodmin. Ideal for our overnight stay. Cosy and spotlessly clean - and the hosts are very welcoming.

  • The Annex is in an ideal spot in the centre of Bodmin. There is lots of choice if you want to eat out (Viraj is delicious if you fancy Indian food and is a 5 min walk) or there is everything you need if you want to cook. The style is modern and cosy and has everything you need for a quick break away or if like us a stopping point on a long journey.

  • Our stay at Bandylegs was lovely. A well presented and very clean cottage. We wanted to be somewhere warm and relaxing and Bandylegs was perfect for this. We spent many hours in front of the log burner! The kitchen was extremely well equipped and a great space to cook in. The location is good, I ran around the local area which is small country lanes - hardly any cars. You will need a car to access any shops - roughly 20mins away - we were prepared and brought all food and drink with us. We very much enjoyed our few days at Bandylegs. Thank you Emma and Christian.

    Amy2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Bandylegs Cottage over New Years and it was perfect. We loved the fireplace, the cosyness and the little touches of cream tea and fudge. It was a really nice stay in the countryside.

Emma and Christian are fantastic hosts, offering many thoughtful touches and were attentive to our needs. We loved the wealth of local information provided along with the suggestion of local walks - we opted for the Doc Martin walk which was stunning. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Bandylegs - our whole experience was awesome!

The Barn in Lanhydrock is the kind of space you immediately settle into and feel at home. Once part of the Lanhydrock Estate The Barn has all the mod cons and guest friendly features you could want as well as retaining a lot of its original character. The barn is pet friendly meaning your four-legged friend can come along and enjoy a break too. The Barn has something for everyone you can listen to music on the Sonos speaker, let the kids play the Xbox in their room or enjoy the relax outside whilst drinking your morning coffee. If you can bear to drag yourself way from the comfort of the barn its position is almost equidistant from both the north and South coasts of Cornwall. Days by the beach near Padstow or a visit to historic Charlestown are both less than half an hour away with an abundance of other Cornish highlights never far away. The Lanhyrock Estate is only five minutes from the front door giving you lots of options to enjoy. For the truly adventurous among you Cardinham Woods is about five miles away where you can enjoy lots of woodland walks, one of the numerous bike trails and top it off with a tasty treat in the pet friendly woodland cafe. The modern and stylish, The Barn in Lanhydrock is a fantastic base for exploring he best of Cornwall, although we get the sneaking suspicion that the comfortable and homely barn might well be the star of the show.

Bethany Court is in a quiet cul-de-sac on the western part of Bodmin town. This location is close too Bodmin Moor, Bodmin Jail and also the Camel trail. The property itself has a lovely double size bedroom with a double bed and a single fold down bed, a good size bathroom with bath and shower. There is a good sized kitchen/ lounge with sofa bed and French doors. Good bus routes to Truro, St Austell, Plymouth, Trago Mills and Morrisons. Bus numbers are 27 and 11a.
French doors of the lounge lead to a very cute courtyard garden, this is a perfect space to relax or have a Barbacue in the summer.
The Bethany sits in the heart of a great outdoors area, with Lanhydrock House and Gardens and Cardinham woods just minutes away. Here you can enjoy walking, cycling including bike trails or just enjoying the best of being outdoors. Cardinham Woods has a lovely woods cafe sat in the heart of the grounds. Lanhydrock House has also some superb cafes and restaurants. This is a national trust property so national trust members are free to visit. We are pet friendly too and would love your pets to stay over. There are local shops close to The Bethany within walking distance of approx 10 minutes, walk left out of Bethany Court then first left, keep walking along fairpark and the local shop is directly in front of you.
  • Really lovely place. Spotlessly clean, and very well furnished. Everything provided that you might hope for.

Set on the edge of Bodmin Moor with idyllic country and moorland surroundings. Kellows Orchard offers guests the chance to relax and soak up the beautiful natural surroundings. Based in the centre of Cornwall it’s a short drive to beaches, tor’s and the many local attractions.
Comprised of two Shepherds Huts linked, one provides a dining area, basic kitchen and shower room, walk through to the second hut which is a bedroom with kingsize bed and a wood burner. The huts are super-insulated and cosy all year round and offer much greater size than most huts. Bedroom includes: -A comfy king size bed -Bedding and towels -Wood burner -Electric heater Kitchen includes: -Electric kettle -DAB Radio -Electric sockets -Kettle, Microwave, kitchen basics (plates, cutlery, cups, washing up liquid) -Mini Cooler/fridge -Coffee, tea and long life milk Bathroom: -Full size toilet (most huts have camping toilets!) -Shower -Bathroom essentials (toilet roll, hand wash, shower gel) Outside: -Outdoor seating -Firepit -Private parking
This is a very rural area accessible from a single track road. The Shepherds Hut is next to a former farm house. The farm house and land are a site of archeological interest with the main building and barns dating back to the 1500's.
  • We had a really lovely stay and hope to be back soon! Really lovely touches :)

    Zoe2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • This is a hidden gem! Location is great, a very neat and cosy place to feel at home immediately, scones as a surprise and a wonderful view. The best part however is Emma’s and Adrians’ service: the immediate respons in questions and the help when my car was stuck in the mud (a soaken wet underground due to heavy rains whilst storm Dennis). Thanks a lot!

    Peter2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • Enjoyed our stay at the Shepard’s hut, very clean and tidy just what we expected. We was not disturbed by the severe weather and stayed very warm and cosy throughout the night, perfect for a little get away! Would definitely come back here again, very welcoming hosts

    Ellie2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My partner and I stayed here for Valentine’s Day and it was also my birthday. It was exactly what we were looking for! It was cosy, warm (with the fire and the electric heater) and a lovely getaway for the night. It is beautifully decorated and perfect if you’re looking for a country getaway.

    Rachel2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Great shepherds hut with amazing views over the countryside. Near by the village and a short walk to the pub! Perfect little get away

    Jasmin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • I can not recommend Emma’s hut enough. There are so many personal touches and it’s so private and welcoming. Perfect for a few nights retreat in the country but not far from beautiful Cornish towns such as Padstow and Looe. They’ve obviously really thought about what they’d like in the hut and it’s kitted our very well. We stayed in Christmas week and we had some lovely extra Christmas decorations and as soon as the log burner was lit we were very cosy, so don’t be put off by winter months. Communication was easy and they were very responsive. Can’t wait to come back! 😀

    Charlotte2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great place for a quick overnight stop, as I used it for, or for a longer stay on holiday. The entire hut is really nicely laid out, is very warm and dry (I stayed during the winter in the middle of a storm) and has a bed that is actually more comfy than my one at home. It's small and cosy but has enough space to easily take 2 people and their luggage for a few days. Very easy to find, is you use the location given at booking, it takes you right to the huts so don't worry if you're unfamiliar with the area. We will 100% be back again ad will use it as a bolt hole for any trips to Devon.

Perfect for couples, our beautiful dairy shed has been transformed into a romantic Cornish getaway. Situated just above Cardinham Woods, a remote off-road location with famous cycle and walking trails and overlooking the beautiful landscape of the Glynn Valley. Ideal as a peaceful base for people looking for relaxing holidays in Cornwall. The shed is rustic but on-trend with all mod cons and beautiful original features including a stunning bathroom and quirky balcony bedroom accessed by ladder.
The old dairy shed belonged together with the main house to Glynn House, an estate just below us. It could hold up to 6 cows and the now bathroom used to be the piggery holding up to 3 pigs. This is an off-road location and a perfect spot to unwind!
Our most visited neighbourhood spots are Cardinham Woods, Lanhydrock (National Trust), The Eden Project, Fowey, Polkerris beach, Lostwithiel. Favourite cafes are the Woods Cafe at Cardinham with award winning cakes as well as Sams on the beach by Polkerris, a wonderful family place with Pizza's by the beach.
  • We stayed at Myriam’s place for 3 nights. We loved the decor and the thoughtful touches! It was the perfect base to explore Cornwall, as most places were within an hour drive. I cannot recommend the Cowshed enough, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! Thank you Myriam.

    Hannah2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • Myriam was a fantastic host and her place was everything we wanted and more. Perfect for a quiet retreat. We had a fantastic time!

    Mark2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Myriams cowshed is the perfect get away! Very clean and tidy and every thing you need to have a great time there, location is perfect very close to Bodmin and Myriam was very helpful with good places to visit! Will definitely be returning:)

    Adam2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Myriam and her family (not forgetting Ludwig the dog) have a beautiful property in an outstanding location. The cowshed was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Myriam was easy to contact when we needed help getting the oven to start (due to my ineptitude not the oven) and was incredibly welcoming. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend a visit.

    Harriet2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Beautiful setting! With magnificent views from the shed! Ideal location for travelling around Cornwall during the day! Loads to do around the area as it is, yet to say the wonderful estate and woods to explore! I shall be coming back one day for sure :)

    Kieran2020-01-14T00:00:00Z
  • A great little bolthole, beautifully styled. Cosy with the log burner going and loads of logs to burn. Myriam was there lighting the fire as we arrived, such a friendly thing to do after our long journey. Slight warning; steep 1/2 mile drive up a track to the cottage, but fine after you've done it once. There are steep steps up to the sleeping platform/bedroom, so tricky if you have knee issues or are very tall, but I'm quite tiny and my knees are fine (husband tall with occasionally dodgy knees - but he managed). We will return. Thank you Myriam and Mr Myriam for such a lovely welcome.

    Penny2020-01-06T00:00:00Z
  • Beautifully converted cow shed, in a peaceful location with beautiful views all around. Myriam & her husband were always on hand when we needed them & were very welcoming!. Highly recommend this place for your stay & everything you need is provided by the hosts.

    Paul2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
