  • A modest house in a modest neighborhood, but the house inside was immaculate, with a very pleasant design and lovely crafts displayed throughout. Ben was very nice and very responsive to any questions or requests.

  • Great place to stay- very conveniently located by Glacier National Park!

    Jessica2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Ben's place takes 45-55 min drive to St Mary or Many Glacier Entrance in Glacier National Park and 25 min drive to Two Medicine Lake area. A segment of US-89 was under construction when we visited there in Aug 2019. A bathroom is shared by three groups of people staying there if all three rooms are full. Ben's place provide kitchen access and grocery store is close so food preparation is easy. Overall, we had good 4 night stay at Ben's place for our trip to Glacier National Park.

  • Ben’s place was a great home base for Glacier National Park. The check in was smooth and the continental breakfast was a great touch for travelers needing an early start. The rooms were spacious and clean. The Plains Indian museum next door is worth a visit. Route 89 was under construction going to the St. Mary’s entrance to Glacier. 464 is a smoother option. Overall, I had a great stay and would highly recommend Bens place to fellow travelers.

    Mike2019-08-16T00:00:00Z
  • This is a nice calm home close to glacier national Park. Many breakfast items were provided. We would definitely stay again in the future.

    Joe Ann2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great one night stay at Ben’s place. Everything was super clean. They even provided breakfast options! So thoughtful. The house was secure and so so close to Glacier. Highly recommend location wise!

The "Roundhouse @ Squashum flats" offers a very simple and basic camping experience - with a dry, cozy place to sleep in a real bed after a long day of hiking or sightseeing in near by Glacier National Park. We offer the basics -with a simple solar system to provide a little night time light and to charge those devices we all have now days. Being a primitive site we can refill your water bottles-and take care of your basic relief needs- but a shower is a short hike away.
We offer simplicity and beauty at a very reasonable rate of 60$ pr. night for one or two guests. Each additional guest is 20$ pr. person pr. night. children under 5 are free if accompanied by a responsible parent.
The roundhouse is just 5 miles from the Two Medicine section of Glacier Park and 11 miles from the St.Mary's entrance. Beauty is everywhere.

  • A nice experience to stay in the cabin.

    Manoj2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • It was a interesting experience. The way to the house was rough but even with our Nissan maxima okay. But a truck would have been better😅 the explanation to find the house from Craig was very helpful. The oven was good and we had a warm night. The toilet is in the garden and was very clean. The house was very nice and clean too. We had everything we needed there. It was a wonderful night and we have had some really bad motels for much more money on our roadtrip. So we would stay here anytime again. Kind regards from Germany.

    Nicole2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • An absolutely unique experience. We agree that we would always prefer this roundhouse to other motels and hotels!

    Sven2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • The round house is a great rustic place to stay. The beds are comfortable and the place is very cozy.

    Hao2019-09-14T00:00:00Z

    Oscar2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • Summer is an awesome host. Quick to reply to your emails. Her apartments are clean, homey and beautifully decorated. This was my second year staying in the apartments and I highly recommend it.

    Aaron2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Small and cute one bedroom apartment in Cut Bank, about 1.5 hours from Glacier National Park. I was in Montana for work and decided to stay the weekend to hike a trail at Glacier. Summer's place was a great place to stay at for the weekend because a lot of lodging was closed around the park in preparation for the winter season. The apartment was perfect for one person to stay in especially since the bathroom is a bit small. Every room actually has a mirror, which I appreciated because that gave me flexibility to get ready depending on space, lighting, etc. It looks like Summer owns the entire building of apartments, and I was surprised that I wasn't able to hear other visitors at all! Even if you're bothered by small noise like the trucks passing by, heater blowing air, etc. Summer provides earplugs along with other amenities. The biggest one for me was K-cups and a Keurig machine. Super easy check-in/check-out process and very communicative!

This room sleeps 2 people on a Queen Size log bed with a side table and fan. The room is limited to 2 people and does not have room for additional cots or mattresses. All linens and towels will be provided for you. Please read the entire description before booking a room in our Hostel. Reception for the Hostel is at the front counter of the store.
Brownies is The only HI (Hosteling International) location in the State of Montana. Step back in time and enjoy the remarkable history of this Log building built in 1912 to house the Men who were building the Great Lodges of Glacier National Park. Our friendly, rustic hostel has been a favorite of visitors to Glacier National Park for over 30 years. Being a guest in a Hostel, you are just as likely to meet someone from Australia, Spain or Japan as from New York or Colorado. The Historic log building also features a bakery, cafe, and grocery store with fresh made sandwiches, pizza, espresso and Montana's famous Wilcoxin's ice cream. There is also a full laundromat in the adjacent building for all your laundry needs. The walls are fairly thin so light sleepers may need to use ear plugs. All rooms in the Hostel share separate Men's and Women's bath and shower facilities. There are also 2 private bathrooms and a private Shower with locking doors in the Hostel. We are just down the road from the 2 Medicine entrance to Glacier National Park and some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world. Wikipedia definition: Hostels provide lower-priced, sociable accommodation where guests can rent a bed, usually a bunk bed, in a dormitory and share a bathroom, lounge and sometimes a kitchen. Dorms can be mixed or single-sex, and private rooms may also be available. Brownies private rooms are private with shared bathrooms and common areas.
Blindly following your GPS will likely get you very lost in the remote areas of Montana. East Glacier is a small village and easy to find your way around. We are located on Highway 49 North of the East Glacier Lodge.
  • Perfect spot for backpacking trips on the east side of glacier. Would definitely stay again. Like others mentioned, the walls are thin so it's hard not to hear the conversations of others, so if you're a light sleeper ear plugs are probably not a bad idea though nobody in our group had any issues.

    Jason2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first time staying in a hostel. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a great time meeting and talking with other travelers. Great experience. Would return.

  • Good, clean hostel

    Chett2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We got a good night's sleep in a private room. Just what we wanted. Thank you Terry!!

    Debbie2019-09-05T00:00:00Z
  • This spot is perfect if you're passing through to go to the East side of Glacier, or if you are looking for an inexpensive spot with a bed close to the park for a few nights.

    Blair2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • Its everything it promises to be. It is a hostel style location and you will share a bathroom and shower with the other guests. We had zero issues while there. I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay that is affordable and close to Glacier National Park.

    Robert2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great little location to rest before (or after) a long hike in the mountains. Terry was very accommodating with our last minute change in arrival time. Check-in was a breeze. The place is as described. I would stay here again without hesitation. The bakery is dreamy!!!

    Diana2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • I’ve never stayed in a hostel before, but rented the private room for one night and though I was a bit unsure at first I was quite comfortable. The value for the location and money is pretty much unbeatable if you’re looking for a room day of. It’s not the Hilton, the walls are thin, the spaces are small but, it’s exactly as advertised. Clean linens, a securely locking door and a comfy bed with a box fan to boot. Couldn’t be beat!

  • A place on its own with a character of its own. Teri is a perfect host, there’s always tea, coffee and some fruit/snacks ready to grab. Breakfast is great and she loves to meet up with he guests. Nicely situated at the eastside of Glacier National Park.

    Robert2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Teri left us great early bird options for breakfast but we had the option to stick around for a cooked with love breakfast. Her place was comfortable, quiet, and clean. She helped us out with late arrival arrangements when our baggage was lost at the airport, a huge relief on a stressful travel day.

    Joy2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • I can't say enough good things about this place! Teri was so helpful from the get go and was incredibly accommodating for our wedding party. We booked 2 rooms and she allowed us to use another room that helped us spread out and get ready in a timely fashion. She also helped accommodate our early check in so we could use the room for wedding prep. She even had vases for our wedding flowers! All of this was so kind and above and beyond the call of duty. She was so personable and caring and it felt like the perfect place to stay before saying 'i do'. The breakfast was wonderful as well! Do yourself a favor and stay here in one of the beautiful rustic rooms; you won't regret it!

    Amber2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • Teri was a wonderful hostess, and incredible cook. The breakfasts are full homemade breakfasts that will send you off full and happy to East Glacier and beyond. Her quiet little airbnb is clean and well situated with quick access to Two Medicine, and approximately 45 minutes to St Mary and Many Glacier. She sent us off with a nice breakfast on our final day so that we could enjoy the sunrise on Logam Pass at Going To The Sun road. Teri is well informed about the roads to take to best see parts of the park and local spots to see in the area. While there in late August we were even able to see the Northern Lights. If you're looking for an affordable place that feels like home, this is a great spot.

    Mona2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Terry's little bed and breakfast East of Glacier National Park is a great place to layover and spend the night if you don't want to rough it up in the mountains. Top notch breakfast (go for the French toast you won't regret it) and hospitality in a secluded quiet setting.

    Matthew2019-08-25T00:00:00Z
  • In all the years we have traveled via Airbnb, Teri has been the best hostess; thoughtful, knowledgeable, friendly, good conversationalist. And great cook! Comfortable, clean bnb, great bed, good coffee. Full breakfast made to order. Aspenwood Lodge is our choice when we return for future visits to the east side of Glacier National Park.

    Satinee2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Stacy is a great host! All of my inquiries were answered in a very timely manner and addressed any issue literally immediately! The coffee maker was not working (which unless she or her cleaning staff physically tried after each guest left they would not know this), and within an hour or so of the store opening, one was brought into the home! I was overjoyed with the quick response! Due to there being a blizzard the day after we arrived, snow removal in the entire town was an issue, but Stacy was so thoughtful to make sure that things were being taken care of at this home. The house has a warm and welcoming feel to it and my husband and I were able to totally relax and enjoy our stay there. I would highly recommend this home to anyone needing lodging in the Cutbank area.

    Carla2019-12-01T00:00:00Z
  • This was a great place, super clean, and with all amenities that someone could need. Stacy worked with us when our plans got altered, went above and beyond the necessary protocol, and was great with communication. Top notch service, and would definitely stay here again if in the area.

    Josh2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here twice, that’s how great of a stay it was! Can’t beat the value and the beautiful home that is open for your stay!

  • A fantastic place to stay, this beautiful home perfectly complimented the amazing scenery of east glacier

    Colby2019-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Roberta's cottage is perfectly located, close to all West Glacier access points. More important than that, though, was Roberta's hospitality and her attention to details. The cottage is incredibly comfortable and warm -- decorated with every detail. We were so lucky to be "stuck" in Roberta's cottage for the two days it took for an enormous (and unusual) storm to pass through. Roberta is very responsive and warm as well. We are so happy and grateful that we found this cottage!

    Barbara2019-10-01T00:00:00Z
  • Roberta is a wonderfully helpful host and has a very nice and comfortable place to stay and explore the east side of GNP and the Blackfeet reservation. The cottage is within walking distance to the main street stores of East Glacier Village (a very small town). She provides informative literature about the nature and history of GNP and the surrounding area. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen which allowed us to cook nightly dinners.

Our cabins are located in the village of East Glacier Park, with a spectacular mountain view. breath taking sunrises & sunsets. We are walking distance from restaurants, coffee shops, gift stores, small grocery & convenient store. You truly will not be disappointed. If this cabin isn't available for the dates you are looking for, please check availability on one of our other cabins Two Dot or Heart T.
  • It was nice to meet Carole when we arrived at one of her 3 darling little cabins. We had a great stay in our cabin with plenty of space!

    Cheyenne2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • The cabin we stayed in was very clean and cozy. Carole was also very nice and stopped by to say hi on her way in and talked to us. The cabin was perfect for what we needed while exploring Glacier National Park.

    Chelsea2019-09-26T00:00:00Z
  • Stayed here with my husband to hike Glacier NP, and we loved this little cabin! It’s about an hour and a half from Logan Pass parking lot, wasn’t a bad drive at all. The bed was very comfortable, passed out into a coma after a full day of hiking highline! Very clean, stayed warm, and awesome hot showers. Plus can’t beat the price. Would stay here again!

    Brittany2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent cozy cabin

    Vivek2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • Excellent location for access to east entrances of Glacier NP. A super cute, clean, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed cabin. Carole and her husband were lovely hosts. Communication, check in and out were all super easy. Highly recommended!

    Sarah2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • I recommend the Double Dot Ranch. I drove up and fell in love. I walked in and felt instantly welcome and comfortable. Carole the host, has thought of everything. Staying there just enhanced my experience in Glacier.

  • Carole’s cabin was a perfect place to stay to enjoy East Glacier NP. Centrally located, great communication, and an adorable space! We would highly recommend!

    Melissa2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • My husband is riding his bicycle across the country and I am supporting him via driving my car with all the clothes and gear. We have been staying in hotels and Airbnb’s and were very happy to find Carole’s Double Dot/Broken Arrow Cabin available. The cozy cabin was the perfect place for us to stay the night as it was very near the route my husband is taking. The bed was very comfortable and there was a heater available if it got too cold (I plugged it in in the morning to take the chill off). The cabin was very clean and has a large bathroom with a nice shower. The cabin also has a small refrigerator which came in very handy. The cabin is located within walking distance to a store and restaurants. We especially enjoyed lunch at the Glacier Park Lodge. Parking is right outside the front door which was very handy for us because we have a lot of gear that we are traveling with. I would definitely recommend staying here and would do so again if I pass through the area.

Cedarwood Cottage is just outside of East Glacier Park. The cottage is nestled in an aspen grove with a great view of the mountains of Glacier National Park and beaver ponds right on the property! It is very secluded and a great hub for family and friends exploring Glacier National Park and the Blackfeet reservation. It has all the amenities of home!
  • Amazing location with a welcoming host! The place was great and had a well stocked kitchen. We loved the beds and the access to a washer and dryer. We had fun playing cards at the large table and cooking breakfast in the mornings. The rooms had extra heaters to keep us warm. If you can stay here, book it!!!

    Marisela2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • We had great experience staying at the cottage. The location is away from the town hence we could enjoy the star gazing from the front porch. I would highly recommend this place for future stay

  • Awesome cabin minutes from Two Medicine. The whole family loved it, we were very comfortable and appreciated all the space to spread out. Wish I had a cabin like this of my own!

    Brian2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • Such a cute cabin! My husband & I loved the beautiful, quiet, and serene area. My kids loved the fast wifi, cable TV, and picking tons of delicious berries from the raspberry bushes in the front. The beds we're comfy and the towels we're fluffy & soft. The kitchen was well stocked. There's no AC but you don't need it. Even on the hottest days, it gets chilly at night, it feels great the sleep with the windows open and the fresh, cool air.

  • Although a bit out of the way and hard to find in the dark, it is so worth the effort. Cozy, comfortable, private and an excellent place to go relax after a day exploring the park. Had we not been here for a wedding we would have spent our whole stay here, it is not only cheaper (by a lot) than the Glacier Park Lodge, it has more amenities and an overall better experience. I can't say I can see how you would be disappointed staying here, we were very pleasantly surprised and would definitely stay again if we come back to Glacier Park.

Ranch house very secluded and quiet. Nice getaway from everything! Wood stove and all modern amenities.
Guest are welcome to use the whole house.
  • Cool place to stay if you’re looking for something remote. You’re about 40 mins from the east entrance of Glacier. Key to finding the house: The address will take you to a post with a wooden plaque that looks like it should say something but it’s blank. Turn down that dirt road, there is another occupied house on the property to your left, the ranch is at the foot of that road. We arrived at night and it was hard to find. Also there is no WiFi.

    Atara2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Monti and Graig were very quick to respond when the electric went out due to weather issues. The house was roomy and comfortable. Scotty, the outdoor ranch cat, was super friendly which was great for me, but not so much for my friend who is allergic. The house is located several miles off the main road which we loved, but be aware of the livestock that are open range coming from Browning. Great views and awesome hosts!!

    Erica2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • One of the best Airbnb’s I have stayed at so far. Lots of space, beautiful land, comfy beds, friendly cat. There’s two bathrooms and three bedrooms.

    Mary2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Graig responded quickly to all my questions. The house is roomy, the master bed super comfy, and the outdoor sitting area/deck is unbelievably peaceful with fabulous views.

    Kendra2019-08-24T00:00:00Z
  • The house is large and comfortably furnished. Great value we would definitely go back. Also there is a very interesting friendly cat to welcome you on the porch!

  • Really nice place! Not too far a drive from Glacier National Park and easy to get anything you need from nearby towns. We really enjoyed having the whole house to ourselves...definitely worth it for the price!

Tiny Lodge with cabin like interior. Comfortable queen bed and bath with shower. Efficiency kitchen and living area with futon for additional bed space. Small outside deck area.
The Tiny lodges are grouped together just a 1/2 block from Highway 49. All restaurants, etc are easily accessible by walking a short distance.
  • What a great little place, I would highly recommend! The location is perfect, and we enjoyed the Whistle Stop Restaurant right next door for breakfast both mornings. We also appreciated the little extras - especially the bear spray which thankfully we didn’t need, but were glad to have with us on our hikes.

    Tammy2019-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Very good place to stay in the east Glacier area! Very manageable distance to all park entries, and the tiny home was a great base camp for our visit!

    Wolfgang2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny lodge #1 is exactly as advertised, very clean, nicely furnished, nice kitchenette. Judy is a great host-friendly, helpful when we had questions. Great place to stay.

    Gail2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Tiny Lodge #1 was, indeed, lodge-like in its furnishings, which gave it a charming appeal, and it did not feel at all "tiny." It was very comfortable and well-equipped. Judy came immediately when we had a problem with the key late at night, and she was friendly and welcoming. Neighborhood was quiet. Location convenient to Glacier National Park entrance.

    Noelle2019-09-06T00:00:00Z

    Lianne2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Loved our stay at Judy's! It was in a small little town about an hour or so away from the Many Glacier area. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to do some hiking who needs a good base camp. Judy was super sweet and quick to respond to any questions we had. She even let me borrow some packing tape to mail my trekking poles back home. Thanks again for everything Judy!

  • Christine's place was just amazing. It is only 20 minutes from two-medicine lake area of glacier national park. Everything was well thought! Kitchen was fully stocked, including coffee, creamers, Jams to cookies in the kitchen that made it easier for us to pack food for the long hikes during the day. Perfect heating in the house and hot water. She also provided extra blankets for the living room. We could watch netflix at the end of the day since there is not a lot to do around glacier national park besides restaurants. We look forward to staying at her place again.

    Isha2019-09-02T00:00:00Z
  • Clean, special touches, direct information and quick responses. Thanks for letting us stay!

    Sara2019-08-30T00:00:00Z
  • My only regret is that we didn't stay at this one longer! The town was the perfect distance to the east side entrances to the park, which has great hikes and opportunities for wildlife viewing. Christine was quick to respond and when we accidentally locked ourselves out, she came down immediately to let us back in. Would definitely keep her in mind for future trips to glacier. Thank you!

    Allison2019-08-28T00:00:00Z
  • The County Store was darling! It’s cuter than it looks in pictures. Christine and Barbara left cookies from the local bakery which we brought to the mountain and it was the perfect mid-hike provision. The space was comfortable, clean, and in walking distance to the town’s offerings. Highly recommend!

    Rebecca2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Super cute and clean apartment. I enjoyed it a lot. They even offered bear spray to borrow. That's like $50 saving! (I didn't notice until the last day though)

    Xin2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We enjoyed the Old County Store very much. The place is super clean and has all the amenities you could want, including cookies. The host is vert prompt with all communication. She even went out of her way to purchase bear spray for our use. We highly recommend this place.

  • Ha is very attentive and responds quickly to any issue to get them resolved quickly. This is a nice comfortable house to stay in.

  • Roomy house offers space to spread out. Parking is under cover, right near back door. Large private backyard. Safe, quiet neighborhood. Nice selection of cooking dishes / supplies. Albertson's grocery has a great selection, good prices, and right around the corner. Would definitely stay again!

    Jill2019-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Ha’s house! The home was very comfortable. Plus, staying in Cut Bank saved us a load of money, compared to staying in GNP. The drive into the park each day was beautiful, so we didn’t mind it at all. We were grateful for all the little touches of hospitality (bottled water, Spindrift, bathroom essentials, laundry detergent, etc.). We especially loved the comfortable beds!! We were always exhausted after hiking all day and were grateful for a solid night’s sleep. We would absolutely stay here again!

    Lori2019-08-01T00:00:00Z
  • Place was great. Everything ready when we checked in, super easy check in. Ha texted to make sure everything was good. A little far from glacier but there’s really nowhere better to stay in between without being confined to one end of the park.

    Sara2019-07-26T00:00:00Z
  • The Yellow Pine House was were we stayed for the final three nights of a twelve day motorcycling trip through the Black Hills, Yellowstone, and finally Glacier National Park. "We" included my wife and I, and two adult sons. The Yellow Pine House was the best place we stayed during our trip. Finally a place with separate bedrooms and space to stretch out in! Ha did a fantastic job renovating and decorating the interior of the house. The living room has a very nice, large HDTV with Roku. Internet is blazing fast. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything likely to be needed for meals and cooking. Nice touches include "welcome" tray with snacks and drinks, and a Keurig with K-cups provided. The bathroom is roomy and the vanity has clever pull out drawers with a lot of space. Nothing beats a shower with a hand held shower head, and this shower has much more to offer. The master bedroom is good size with (thank you Ha!) a KING SIZE BED! The memory foam mattress is very comfortable with a nice laying of sheets, blankets, and comforter to keep those of us who sleep hot at night and those of us who sleep cold at night with our personal selection of layers to stay comfortable. There's a desk space in the bedroom for a laptop if you need to due a little business while on vacation. The two other bedrooms are smaller, but still have modern memory foam mattresses. Nice. It was great to be able to wash our cloths using the washing machine in the kitchen. The dryer is located within the garage. It was nice to be able to park our motorcycles beneath the canopy in front of the garage and know that they were protected from the elements. We were able to park our vehicle with the trailer in the street in front of the house. There would have been enough room in the driveway for everything, but it was easier to just leave it in the street. Depending on what you're used to, the neighborhood may appear to be a iffy, but we met and/or were able to say Hi to 4 different neighbors and they were all extremely nice. A special thanks to Tom who shared his Rolling Rock with some thirsty travelers and took us out to one of the local establishments where we had a couple more drinks, a great meal, and some great conversation. All in all, I highly recommend a stay at the Yellow Pine House.

    Curt2019-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • I booked Ha's place for a trip that I was taking with my friends. Unfortunately, due to some work, I had to cancel my trip. Ha was understanding of it and still accommodated my friends. My friends said that the house was neat and clean. They particularly enjoyed the spa as it soothed their sore muscles after a day spent hiking. Overall, they are quite satisfied with their stay at Ha's place.

    Neha2019-07-06T00:00:00Z
  • Yellow Pine House is as exactly as advertised. The home was cozy and clean. Don't even get me started on how comfortable the beds were! The power went out during our stay due to inclement weather. Ha was extremely responsive and immediately contacted the company to get us the information we needed. She was a fabulous host. I definitely recommend this home for future visits.

    Kristin2019-06-28T00:00:00Z

Glacier Basecamp is your jumping off home to explore the Rocky Mountains, Glacier Park, and the prairie surrounding Lake Frances! The spacious private duplex apartment is basic and older. The inside has been adorned with original wildlife photography from the local area. Large windows in each room provide a decent view of Lake Frances. Stretch your legs after the long-drive with a short walk to The Lake where you can fish for walleye or bird watch! Pet friendly and Roku for entertainment.
Ask about couples discount! The very basic space comes furnished with clean amenities and small town rustic charm. Very safe. Relax and watch movies and TV on the Roku device. Only a kitchenette – including microwave, cook-top stove, water boiler, and mini-fridge are provided. No kitchen sink. The shower is older and stained, but clean! This is a simple Montana accommodation without bells and whistles. Our dogs bark sometimes during the day, but are quiet at night. Pets welcome with approval. Park in the driveway (w/ basketball hoop) out front. Host is usually a busy field biologist (Instagram @glacierbasecamp), so don't expect instant in-person interaction, but we are typically able answer questions and provide advice via messaging quite quickly.
The small, rural, prairie community of Valier is quaint and friendly with tremendous views and access to Lake Frances, the Rocky Mountains, and Glacier National Park. Come stay in a real country-Western cowboy town!
  • Great stop to go to Glacier National Park Nice and Clean and very good tv and wifi service

    Nicholas2019-09-23T00:00:00Z
  • Valier is off the beaten path, its a way off! We came for solitude and quiet and thats exactly what we got. The town is quiet, the gas station has basics like milk and butter and eggs. The Basecamp was perfect, there was only two of us and we had a huge amount of space, it is exactly as described in the posting with the addition of an amazingly comfortable bed. The two dogs are the cutest things and didn’t make a peep our whole stay, Wesley and Sarah are nearby if you need them and very quick with communication. Wesley has some of his photographs on the walls and they are a really cool insight into the local wildlife. A quick tip, put Rock City Rd into your gps and drive 9 miles up it, bear track by the river, deer and rock sculptures (hoodoo’s) that were scouted for one of the Star Wars movies! We had a great stay thank you!!

    Blake2019-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • This place was very convenient and super easy to find at night which is exactly what I needed when driving at night from glacier! I was making a cross country road trip with my dog, and coming from glacier with no phone service in the dark. What I needed was a quick place to stay, easy to enter and find without complications, and isolation so my dog wasn’t “spooked” and it offered those things greatly. There is also phone service around this area (cricket no less) to find the right location when you get closer, and easily accessible by paper map from glacier if you’re one to easily get lost like I am. It offered a lot for the low price which I enjoyed, able to unwind with some Netflix before bed as well!

Beautiful mountain views, colorful sunsets and dark starry skies are yours to enjoy at this cozy backcountry home. Large living room, upright piano, full kitchen, full bathroom, washer/dryer and great drinking water. Centrally located to all four east entrances into Glacier National Park.
It is the most peaceful and relaxing place I've ever lived, the seclusion adds to the tranquility. There is a 360° view of the horizon where wildlife abound. You can see nine summits in Glacier National Park just looking out the windows.
There are only about a dozen neighbors within one square mile and we all know each other and enjoy barbecuing together and helping one another.
  • In our opinion, James was a super super-host! House was meticulously clean and neat. Kitchen had excellent equipment. Beautiful views of spectacular Montana (Glacier) mountains. We hiked and snowshoed. He was very helpful, going so far as to give us a ride to the house in his 4-wheel truck when the remains of a snow storm rendered our Honda Fit unfit for the gravel road to the house. Fabulous! We would (and hope to) return sometime next year and stay more than one day.

    William2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Jame's house is beautiful and it is very convenient to Glacier's St. Mary entrance . I highly recommend staying here , you will not be disappointed .

    Raymond2019-09-11T00:00:00Z
  • What a special place. A true experience. Very close to the park, but gives a non-touristy feeling of Montana and what life here look like. Loved staying there!

    Yotam2019-09-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a wonderful place to stay on the east side of Glacier located about half way between Two Medicine and St Mary. James provided everything a traveler could need. What we enjoyed most about this updated cabin is the absolute peace and quiet. No dealing with the hustle and bustle of the cities surrounding Glacier. Stargazing is incredible as there are few lights in the area. We usually saw wildlife every morning sitting on the back deck. It is truly a little slice of heaven. When reading other reviews about this cabin I took the advice and rented a small SUV. I'm glad I did as the road to the cabin is really rough. Other than that our stay was amazing!

    Kelly2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous, secluded spot. Wonderful house to wake up in. We regret that we couldn't stay longer. Communication was great. We didn't make it in until late at night, and once darkness fell James reached out to ask if we needed any help finding the place.

    Justin2019-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing cabin in a perfect location! We loved enjoying the peace and quiet of the country with being only 20 minutes to Glacier National Park. This house has everything you needed for an amazing vacation. We grilled steaks every night and even watched one of the DVDs that James had in stock. This home had so much space for just the two of us. There were so many books and travel guides and he gave us suggestions on visiting the Plains Indians Museum in Browning. Overall, this was an amazing stay and we will definitely be back!

    Amy2019-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • As much if not more than advertised

    Elizabeth2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • James' house is really beautiful with many windows on all sides. We saw several deer in the field right by his house. James is a very attentive host and has excellent suggestions for hiking, dining and fishing. In fact he loaned my grandson a fishing rod and we had rainbow trout for dinner! Every kitchen utensil or pot you could every need is there. I highly recommend this location!

  • Judy's Hideaway was a great place to stay! Close to Glacier National Park, this was the perfect spot for us on our road trip through Montana. Judy was communicative, and the place was very large and very clean and she provided plenty of amenities and local recommendations to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend!

  • Judy went above and beyond to accommodate us in what was a rather late-planned trip to East Glacier following my husband's open-heart surgery. Even before arrival, we had quite a few questions, and she offered some great tips that helped us plan things as well as possible beforehand. The cabin was larger than expected and comfortable for our crew. She even provided some extras as the need arose. We are grateful to have found Bear's Hideway and to have a place to rest our heads after a long train ride during our three nights in the village. It was within easy walking distance of eateries and the lodge where we caught the shuttle. Washer and dryer and kitchen were added bonuses. We recommend!

10 minutes from Glacier National Park. The house offers views of the plains for early morning sunrises and views of the Rocky Mountain sunsets. Enjoy a game of pool or sit out on the deck and take in the aspects of ranch life. The house is a complete 360° circle with windows in all bedrooms to capture all the beauty. The rooms offer the contextual frame of a circle. Do pass up staying at a central location for visiting the Park. Equal distance to St.Mary, East Glacier and everything in between.
The living space and every room can be used. The deck and backyard where the grass has been mowed is space that the guest can use.
The place is out side the town of Browning. Browning has many Blackfeet Indian Museums and a high stakes casino. Many people that stay are here to visit the Glacier National Park and how convenient the location is to access every part of the east side of the park.

  • Beautiful space with everything you need for your vacation. Thoughtful tips and area guidebooks in room. Everything is very clean. Room has fridge and Kerig coffee machine.

    Elaine2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • Private place with all the things you could need for entering the 2 medicine entrance of the park! The place has a new bathroom with comfy towels, a microwave/small fridge/freezer, Keurig machine and even its own Netflix login! I didn't have much cell service out that way so having wifi was helpful to get directions going on google maps... tip: set it before you go and then it'll take you wherever you're going even as you go in and out of cell reception! Dennis was also super helpful with providing eatery recommendations as they are spread out across a number of towns. In terms of distance, it is an hour+ drive to get to Many Glacier, St. Mary's and a bit more over the Canada border, but again, incredibly close to the East side and 2 medicine lake entrance. Early September was a great time of year to go but be mindful of end-of-season closures. I made it to Logan Pass and Grinnell Glacier via the Many Glacier hotel's boats the last weekend of their operation. This is more of a park tip, but I used reviews of others to help build out my itinerary so I hope this helps others as well! Overall, a great stay at Dennis' place and I'm thankful for the last minute booking!

    Sarah2019-09-09T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Dennis' apartment above the garage was wonderful and was a great location to access the East Side of Glacier National Park. The apartment was spotless, beautiful, comfortable, and we really enjoyed our 2 days in East Glacier. We met Dennis upon arrival and he was exceptionally friendly and provided many hiking tips for our time in Glacier, as well as local dining suggestions after our long days in the park. I would definitely recommend staying here!

    Valerie2019-09-04T00:00:00Z
  • It’s the perfect place to stay and visit the Two Medicine area of Glacier NP. The beds were great, soft thick towels, coffee machine, even a few breakfast bars and water. Places close by to walk to dinner. Great bakery just across the street.

    L2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • New construction. Clean, nicely decorated, and private. The place was as advertised and Dennis provided restaurant and shopping suggestions without being asked. We really enjoyed our stay.

    Ellen2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 2 nights at this place. Check in was easy. It is brand new, nicely furnished, has a kuerig, a small fridge and a microwave. The bathroom is a nice size. It was very clean. It does have twin beds. It is in a small town outside of Glacier National Park. There isn’t anything to do in the town, but there are some restaurants. We spent all our time in the park so it worked for us. It was about 1:20 to get to Many Glacier and the same amount of time to get to Logan Pass. The host provided information on restaurants. It was a good place to stay.

  • I had a wonderful stay at Ben’s. Clean, a colorful place with beautiful arts and very comfortable bed. I highly recommend.

    Joby2019-09-18T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Ben's airbnb in Browning as it was the only one listed in the town. We were apprehensive as the town is quite run-down and his neighbourhood a little rough. We were pleasantly surprised by how good was his basic accommodation. It is a mature house but had everything that we needed, he even left breakfast items in the fridge. The bed was comfortable, the shower good and hot and full access to the kitchen was available if needed.

  • Ben's place was great. I loved the location, so close to Many Glacier and GNP. The house if beautifully decorated and is very clean. The bathroom was spacious and spot clean. That positive welcome made me feel comfortable for the rest of our stay. There were a few more positive features that weren’t included in the ad that added to an overall wonderful experience. So those were pleasant surprises!

  • Space was great. Stayed on business. Nice extra touches and very clean. As a 6 foot man the bathroom sink was a tiny bit small for me and I tried to keep the water from flying everywhere but to no avail. However there were plenty of towels for me to mop up my mess. I would absolutely stay here again.

This simple Bungalow is located along the train tracks in Essex, MT. The bungalow sits in a historic mountain community; full of train buffs, skiers and fisherman. Surrounded by mountains and rivers, this bungalow can serve as a base camp for adventure or a quiet escape from the business of life. We are .3 miles away from the historic Izaak Walton Inn and are walking distance (one minute) from the Amtrak station.
The bungalow is cozy but uses space efficiently. The kitchen, living room and restroom are easily accessible on the first floor and provide comfortable space to relax, refuel, and recharge. Steep stairs access 3 private sleeping quarters on the 2nd floor, with 1 queen and 2 full beds respectively. The upstairs has a low ceiling. The kitchen is well equipped, and the mudroom is a great place to store coats, muddy shoes, bikes, skis or doggie bowls. The main heating source is a gas fireplace, located on the first floor and electric wall heaters are placed throughout. This Bungalow is unique! The blend of modern and rustic design elements, the picturesque setting at the base of the mountains, the sounds and vibrations of passing trains, and the efficient use of space combine to provide an experience that is not bland. Train noise is a part of life in Essex. Generally expect one train to pass every hour. The bungalow has WIFI, however there is no cell service within a 20 minutes drive.
Our home is located in Essex, Montana, United States. Essex is a remote community nestled along the Middle Fork of The Flathead River, between Glacier National Park and the Bob Marshall Wilderness.
  • Very clean, clear communication with owners, cute home and fun location.

    Steph2020-03-08T00:00:00Z

  • Wonderful wonderful. Might be a bit tight with more than 4 people but other than that it was great. Zach and Susan very quick to respond. House was toasty warm when we arrived which was so nice. It's so cute inside with tons of unique decor. Recommend highly!

    Sheila2020-01-03T00:00:00Z
  • So cute and charming. The whole neighborhood is adorable. Perfect distance from both the East and West entrances for Glacier. Great hiking less than a mile away. Loved the book selection as well- all around would definitely stay there again!

  • We loved staying in this cozy Airbnb for the weekend during the snowstorm. We enjoyed cooking meals in the well-stocked kitchen and cuddling up by the fire. It was great how close the place was to the Izaak Walton. Since we couldn't get into East Glacier during the storm we ended up hanging out there one afternoon and playing pool.

    Lauren2019-09-29T00:00:00Z
  • Susan's place in Essex was perfect for four of us visiting Glacier National Park.

    Barbara2019-09-20T00:00:00Z
  • A cute cozy cabin in the mountains! We were in town for a wedding and this cabin was perfect for our little group. The kitchen was more than adequate to cook for a group, there was space to hang out and it was very cute overall. The beds were comfortable and warm! The cabin is in a good spot - there are trails nearby, you can pop into the Izaak Walton Inn for food or to hang out, Glacier is super close and the cabin's location is incredibly scenic. If you're like us and have friends staying nearby, it is easily accessible to many of the nearby cabins. The neighbors were also very friendly. The only "meh": I will say the wifi was spotty - you should NOT expect good wifi from a cabin in this area, it is not realistic!!! - if that is important to you, stay in a bigger town :)

The house is completely remodeled with some new appliances. It is a very quiet area which provides a lot of privacy. The queen beds are all updated and in each bedroom. • There are not a lot of choices for staying at the east side of the Park but we are glad that we picked Judy's house; very comfortable and homey. The kitchen, refrigerator and laundry were well stocked with everything we needed and more. Judy was quick to respond to any questions and she provided great tips on the Park; she even provided bear spray, which we did not need to use. we highly recommend Judy's house.

It is decorated with my daughters' art work. It is next to the family room and up one flight of stairs to the bath on the main floor. It is 60 minutes to East Glacier and the entrance at Two Medicine. It is an hour and half to St. Mary. *****It is about an hours drive to the Two Medicine entrance .

It is furnished in a stylish, farm house manner. During the spring and summer the gardens, patio and deck are filled with flowers.

    Klaus2019-10-11T00:00:00Z
  • This was a lovely place to stay. The host, Marion, is very friendly and was always making sure that I had everything I needed, such as extra blankets in case I got cold, or enough to eat at breakfast. She even made sure to shovel the steps and driveway before I left, so I wouldn't have to walk through snow to get to my car. This room is in the basement next to a TV room, but there is no bathroom on this level so you have to go upstairs. The bed was super-comfortable and I wish I could have stayed in bed all day! I would definitely stay here again.

  • Debbie's place is super clean and nicely decorated, and the sweet treats hit the spot!

  • We had a very pleasant experience at Debbie's place, the house is really warm and clean, with everything ready for us to use. There are four bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and is very suitable for large party with more than 6 people. We can make food ourselves and play boardgames. It is located in a town close to the Two Medicine Lake area, and there are a few markets and restaurants in the town which makes our vacation pretty easy. The hosts are very helpful and considerate, they checked with us before our arrival, welcomed us even though we arrived a bit late. They cleaned the room and replaced the supplies every day. They gave us recommendations on food and trips. They even provided snacks and cookies when we left.

  • Great place, clean, comfortable, nice location. My family and I had a great stay. It was a good home base for our vacation into glacier park. Easy check in and very nice hosts. Thank you!

  • Browning is on the Blackfeet Reservation and the Farmer's Inn is an Oasis that was an absolute pleasure to come home to after our hiking adventures in Glacier National Park. Debbie is an amazing host who keeps the property immaculate and had some other nice touches as well. We saved quite a bit by staying outside the park and Debbie had all the local shortcuts to recommend. If you're not staying IN the park, look no further.

  • Debbie's place was perfect for our crew while working in the area. We were so appreciative to be able to come back to such warm, comfortable surroundings every night. And Debbie's baked goods are amazing!

  • Debbie and her husband were excellent hosts. They helped us find our way, gave us recommendations for food, baked us a big plate of cookies, and were wonderful, kind people to talk to. They went above and beyond with their hospitality - our rooms were cleaned and towels laundered during our stay. Their home was clean and well provisioned, with some lovely art. I would absolutely stay here again.

  • A wonderful stay in Debbie and Charles house. Very clean; all you want. A lot of attention and good indications to join Many Glacier. I recommend going there!

This comfortable room sleeps 2 people in separate single beds, has night stands and a fan. All linens and towels will be provided for you. The room is limited to 2 people and does not have room for additional cots or mattresses. Due to the thin walls of our historic 1912 hostel, some guests may prefer to bring ear plugs. Please read the entire description prior to booking a room in our historic Hostel.
  • My experience was just what I had expected. It's a hostel, not a hotel, and the facilities were all functional, the staff wonderful to deal with, the beds suitable for the type of accommodation, and there were wonderful guests to spend time with.

  • Friendly, clean, convenient, informal, and comfortable, we would absolutely stay here again and hope we have the opportunity.

    Andy2019-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • I love the hostel experience. Everything from traditional backpackers to families were there with us. We just needed a place to crash for one night and grab some food before a full day of park activities. This fit the bill!

  • Clean and simple room with a cafe downstairs. The scent of pastries and coffee will waft into your room. No alcohol is allowed, FYI.

  • A great location at a great price. No frills, exactly as advertised. Wifi speed was adequate, and the private restrooms/shower room were both very clean. They were flexible with our reservation and accommodated a late check-in. My only complaint is that there were only 2 outlets available in the room, so bring a power strip! Unfortunately we arrived late and left early, so we didn't get to experience the smells and tastes of the bakery downstairs.

  • Very close to Two Medicine and it was nice to have a kitchen! Nice hostel environment, bathroom spaces are a little tight. Great to visit in the shoulder season when there were only a few other guests!

  • We really enjoyed our stay at the Hostel. Loved the smell of fresh baked goods, which were also very delicious.
