We had a great nights stay! We visited our daughter at Umass and wanted a unique experience for the one night. And we got it! Beautiful home from the 1800's, and beautiful couple making us feel at home. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful time staying with Chris and Fran. The room was beautiful, comfortable, and clean and had anything we might of needed. Chris gave us great recommendations for a lunch spot in north Hampton that we happily followed. In the morning we were offered coffee, hot tea, fruit, and pastry! And best of all great conversation and friendship. Our morning chat (and magic show/lesson!) was one of our favorite memories from our trip. Thank you Chris and Fran!!

Wonderful home! We absolutely loved staying here, everything was so comfortable and charming. Chris and Fran were not there the night that we stayed, but they made sure we had everything we needed, including breakfast for the next morning. I wished our itinerary would have allowed us to stay longer, I would have liked to have spent a whole week at Chris' lovely home. Next time we come up this way, we will definitely plan to stay here!

Chris's place was so beautiful. It is rare to get to stay in such a well-kept Victorian style home. Every possible concern a guest could have was anticipated; I could tell that Chris had been doing this for a long time. My experience felt very akin to staying at a bed and breakfast and I appreciated all the thought that went into making my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The description of the accommodation is very accurate. You got your own TV, fridge and bathroom. The house is amazing. But Chris and Fran are even more! We felt like we were home and had a wonderful breakfast with Chris and Fran. I recommend them without any hesitations.

Chris & Fran are two of the nicest people I've ever met. They're always there for you if you need anything. The place is spacious, quiet and warm. The house is very close to 45 PVTA, which takes you to Amherst Center. The BEST Airbnb I've ever had!

Traffic was terrible on day we arrived & so we were almost 2 hours later. We were greeted, offered refreshment & made to feel right at home. Our hosts were very good with instructions & even made sure these were written done in plain site for reference. Our room was spacious, fully equipped, even with a microwave & frig. Our bed was very comfortable, slept well. It's a beautiful neighborhood, safe. As the title says, they are Laid Back & would certainly consider staying again.

Linda is a wonderful host! She was pleasant, helpful, and had great information about the local area. For me this was the ideal B&B experience, in terms of being welcomed into someone's home, etc. The bedroom is very nice! Clean, comfortable bed, wood floors, and charming. First off this is a very clean quiet place. I felt at home and Linda my host was very friendly and accommodating. The location is also very convenient as it was about 10 minutes maybe less from Hampshire college. While having breakfast I enjoyed the view of the season's colorful trees and wild turkeys just in front of the property.If I could have uploaded a picture of the breakfast plate I would. I was served eggs with toast , bacon, raspberries,strawberries and cucumber. I was well pleased with the room as the bed was very comfortable and the half bath very convenient and spacious. Two thumbs up for this host and her property!

Linda was expecting us at the time we had agreed previously. She was always super prompt texting to make sure we had directions or if we needed anything. She went the extra mile as a host offering us to bring us a pizza that we had ordered from a local pizza place. The bedroom was super spacious with a comfortable bed and bathroom in suite. She even cooked a delicious breakfast the following morning. All in all, a great experience.

The hosts were nice people to work with, good communicators and welcoming. We were surprised the bathroom was on the lower level, a flight of stairs down from the unit. The lower level was a bit musty as it is on a slab and we've had a very rainy spring. The upstairs was much better, with operable windows on all four sides of the room. Everything was very clean and the bed was comfortable.

I loved staying here. It is comfortable, attractive, clean, quiet, and has all the amenities, space, and privacy I desire, with the wonderful bonus of being surrounded by woods and on a beautiful lake. Judy and her husband are warm, welcoming, helpful, friendly, and kind. I will definitely stay here again if it is available. I recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Judy is very nice. She provided us plenty of information not only for the cozy studio but also restaurants around this place that we needed. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was safe and warm. Would come here again. This place is fantastic for family in my opinion.

This was our second visit to Chris' house. Check in was very smooth, bed was comfortable, breakfast was nice, and the house was beautiful. And most importantly, Chris and Fran are the wonderful host! We really enjoyed our stay. We look forward to visiting again!

Chris & Fran welcomed us back again, and with a very last minute reservation. We stayed in a different room & upstairs, so saw another part of their cozy Victorian. As before, we were made to feel welcome, offered refreshment & a comfortable bed to rest. They have led interesting lives & if you have time, tell very interesting stories. We will be back.

The stay in Belchertown was delightful. Fran was a very accommodating host while Chris was away and made our stay easy and care free. He even entertained us for breakfast with some amazing magic. It was a quick stop-over on our way to our final destination, yet it was quite enjoyable.

Looking forward to our second visit with Chris and Fran. Unfortunately it's been hard stuff that brings us back to the area, but staying with Chris and Fran gives us a true sense of a "soft spot" to land. When we had to change our travel plans due to illness, they were so helpful and flexible. It's such a relief to have such kind and friendly hosts to stay with in the midst of stress. 3

We had a great stay in this gracious victorian home. Chris and Fran were fabulous hosts - they communicated everything very clearly, had a wonderful light breakfast and coffee prepared for us in the mornings and treated us with great kindness. The room was nice and spacious, and included a mini fridge which came in handy. It was obvious that Chris and Fran had been very thoughtful in making their home comfortable for guests - we found things to be very well appointed and communicated - right down to the safety card in our room detailing escape routes from the home in case of an emergency. As this was my first airbnb experience, I was nervous it might be awkward staying in a stranger's home - but Chris and Fran's hospitality style quickly got rid of those worries!

Chris and Fran are the most welcoming people and will meet all your needs. We will definitely come back!

I'm writing another review since we rented both bedrooms of this lovely carriage home for our visit in the middle of October for a long weekend for a college visit. We arrived at a late hour with a ton of luggage, the owners were so gracious and they had thought of everything in advance so our visit was stress-free. Beautiful tranquil views of the nearby fields and orchards, with Mount Holyoke range off in the distance. Autumn in New England is simply spectacular. We enjoyed hiking around the gardens on the grounds and gravel path by the fields. Friendly neighbors stopped by to chat with our hosts while we were there, which added charm to the whole experience. We are still talking fondly about our trip and hope to come back in the spring. Thank you so much for your caring hospitality.

My visit was near winter time. A country area with back roads I was delighted to see that the roads were well taken care of. The host were extremely accommodating and there was nothing that I ever needed to ask for. I felt like all I really needed was a change of clothes and my personal toiletries. It was quiet as it could be with beautiful scenery, nothing like I've seen before coming from the city. After working I could come back and relax and study with peace and Tranquility. It was an honor to stay at this Airbnb and definitely come back again.

What a wonderful visit! In town for our youngest daughter's college family weekend, John and Justine ("J&J") did everything in their power to make us feel welcome. I was wary of pulling in late Friday night after a full day with our daughter, so J&J allowed us to stop by early in the day to "learn the ropes" and get our key. The setting is divine, midway up one of the rolling farm hills outside of Belchertown, nestled among active apple orchards and farmland. The carriage house is nicely appointed, the view out the living room window onto the outside deck is spectacular, and the gardens surrounding the home are lush and well-kept. While we only used the kitchen for a quick breakfast and snacks, it is well-stocked and ready to handle a week's cooking if called upon. We enjoyed J&J's nice selection of coffees and teas, and were THRILLED to try their homemade applesauce. With our daughter just starting school, we look forward to several more visits in the coming years, and we encourage others to stay here as well!

John and Justine are the most wonderful hosts. Their property is incredibly beautiful and scenic. My husband and I couldn't get over the gorgeous views, especially from our bedroom window. The king size bed was very comfortable. Every detail was covered. We loved the delicious breakfast and snacks. This would be a wonderful place for a family to gather. Close to Amherst for those visiting their favorite students.

Lori was a great host! My girlfriend and I had a lovely time. The cabin was perfect, the little town was cute and quaint. Lori explained everything, gave great suggestions, and was an excellent host. We will be back again soon!

The sunporch was great even in the fall. Once the sun came out the porch warmed up quickly. The room had a fridge, freezer, microwave, cable tv, free wifi and a Keurig. The bathroom was not far and was very clean. The cabin was also very clean. Lori gave us fantastic referrals for a jeweler and a restaurant for my Mom's Birthday. The last night we had a fire in the firepit. We loved it! The cabin is exactly as advertised. I spent four days and left relaxed despite a health issue. I hope to visit again.

SCENIC, COZY and COMFORTABLE. Though I only arrived a couple hours before sunset, then left early the next morning, the total experience was well worth-it. Lori and her partner have created a setting that is cozy, private and beautifully integrated with the gorgeous scenery and abundant wildlife. If you're a bird-watcher or love nature, DO NOT PASS-UP THIS OPPORTUNITY! The sitting/viewing room is so special. The cottage is super comfy with all the modern perks anyone could ask for. Lori and I had a chance to acquaint ourselves while watching the gorgeous natural light fade away. Thank you Lori for extending yourself to make my brief experience so nice.

Quiet neighborhood, friendly host, good value

Andy-Land is an amazing stay, we played basketball, I watched him cast one line into a pond stocked with fish, golf was available, & he was very welcoming...family included!

We enjoyed our stay with Andy and his family. They were very accommodating and helpful. Super relaxing to sit outside and enjoy the pond with geese and their babies. The setting is superb.

First of all, the common area is HUGE. Room for anything - ping-pong table, gym mats, dinner table, magazine table etc. Second, three bedrooms - everyone had his or her privacy. Third, very welcoming hosts. Whatever you need, you get. Fourth, huge outdoor area - two ponds, golf course, green beautiful meadows. We came there for the purpose - visiting a college for our daughter; but it turned out to be a relaxing mini-vacation.

Thank you so much for making us feel at home. This was our first experience with Airbnb and you made it a wonderful one. I would recommend your home for anyone to stay at for any reason. It is comfortable and there's plenty of things to do. Your family was gracious and made each person in our party feel welcome. Thank you for such a great trip

Great experience with Andy and his whole family! They were very welcoming and understanding of our late arrival, and were in great communication with us the whole time. A wonderful basement with fun activities (ping pong, xbox, putting course built into the floor), and Andy takes his hosting responsibilities to heart and made sure we were comfortable in every respect. We will definitely stay with them again in the future!

Myself, sister, mother, father, and two kids (ages 3 and 4 months) had the pleasure of staying at Andy's house (AKA compound) for about 4 days. Andy and his family were extremely accommodating and hospitable. They made breakfast and had coffee ready every morning. We had the entire basement which included three bedrooms, one full bath (stand up shower only- no tub) ping pong table, TV, gaming, private entrance though the garage, and full size frig/freezer. There was about 18" of fresh snow on the ground so we did not get to use all the outside amenities that the compound has to offer. Andy is a very social man and took to our two children and made us feel like part of his family. We would definitely stay at Andy's place again and would recommend it to others, especially when one could take advantage of all the compound has to offer. Thank you to Andy and his family for providing such a warming stay.

This Tudor served perfectly for hosting our family in town for the Holidays. The house was spacious and very inviting. Mohan is a great host and was very attentive to our needs. I would not hesitate to book here again.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone. The place is amazingy. It was the perfect place to get away and at the same time feel like home. We didn't get to meet Loren but Tracy was a great Host. She was always available in person or by phone for questions or needs. We definitely enjoyed the place and will definitely look to rent it again if we're in the area.

Stayed here for a 3 night long weekend and it was a great experience. Loren+Tracy provided welcoming+friendly communication throughout and the arrival was smooth+easy for self-checkin. Since this was to be a quiet and relaxing weekend trip for myself; I appreciated the quiet nature appeal of the apt and time alone with just the babbling stream nearby. The hosts were available for communication but rarely seen, having their own schedule and lives. I was able to come and go easily without being in anyone's way. I didn't have time to enjoy the local hiking off the property, but I might recommend bug spray if its hot+humid like its been in August. The mosquitoes can be common once you get into the woods. A plus I appreciated: There is a washer/dryer in the apartment which is very useful even for a short stay. (with detergent available to use respectfully) Plenty of fresh clean towels available made available by the hosts as well.

Lovely, quiet place next to a bubbling brook. What's not to like. The hosts left clear instructions and were very responsive the couple of times we had questions. Because we were there for a busy and short trip mid week, we didn't get a chance to meet Loren and Tracey, but from their tastes in books and the simply elegant furnishings of the apartment, I know I would have a lot in common with them. We hope to be back again.

Could there be better hosts? I doubt it. Could there be a better place to stay in Belchertown? Not a chance! I write this at great risk as frankly, I would hate to lose the option to visit this oasis again to others looking for a perfect get away. If anyone could find a fault with this gem, they need their head examined. Everything is just perfect, the house, the layout, the property, the location, the hosts......all PERFECT! My husband and I stayed at Loren and Tracy's while visiting our daughters in Amherst. Lovely spot in the woods, so much space in the apartment and only 10 min. from Amherst. It was great to bring our daughters over to hang out with us in the late afternoon and have the kitchen to put out some snacks. It was fun to see that we have similar taste in literature and my husband was so excited to have a guitar to play!! We didn't have time to meet Loren and Tracy because we were on a pretty tight schedule all weekend but they seem like lovely people. I wish we had more time because I would have loved to try some of the trail walks they included in the apartment information.

What a lovely space! We had such a pleasant weekend both in Tracy and Loren's home as well as in the town of Amherst. We were greeted upon arrival with the keys to the loft and an introduction to the property. The Scarboro Loft was very clean, very spacious, very comfortable, and very homey. Anything you may have forgotten to bring with you on your trip is in the loft. The loft is minutes from Amherst where we patronized many of the businesses in the town. Including Elements Hottub Spa, The Emily Dickinson museum and many tasty restaurants. We are already looking forward to returning and hopefully staying in this home again! Thank you Tracy and Loren once again for a comfortable stay.

We stayed over Christmas with another couple and our dog; everything was super easy and we had a great stay. Directions for checking in were clear and simple. Space was very clean, it's very new feeling. I think recently remodeled. Wifi was fast and adjusting thermostat also very responsive. We made use of the kitchen, making breakfast one morning. Also enjoyed the tv that had netflix and the internet radio. (Signed into those with my own accounts). Bathroom has an epic tub. Communicating with the host was fast and straightforward. We would definitely book again.

The Artists Common was just as described and fit our accommodations need quite well. Julia was a pleasure to work with and provided complete information and quick replies to my questions. We were just in for a quick overnight, so spent very little time at the listing, but for a place to stay, this was much nicer, roomier, and more comfortable than a hotel for sure!

The Artist Common is a super cool location to stay if you're in the area. It was extremely clean, comfortable, well stocked and my family loved it. Julia was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We would definitely stay here again in the future if we're passing through.

This is an elegant(y) loft space that simulates artist living in a decidedly non-city setting. The area is very beautiful and it's a great way to have easy access to the 5 colleges and other cultural gems like the museums, galleries, and shops clustered there. Perfect for people traveling with pets.

Julia was very easy to work with and offered great suggestions for exploring the area. It is a very cool space and well maintained.

Rental in concept was great. The biggest issue we had with the space was that it was a damp basement and needed to have a dehumidifier installed. I think that would of help out with the dank feel. I also think it was overpriced for the space.

Lindsay and Renata were gracious and gave us tips to explore the area and easy to communicate with. Super cute home and very clean!

A very nice comfortable stay. A cozy bed with great pillows and linens. The thickest most wonderful towels were provided. Very nice young couple were very welcoming.

Renata and Lindsay were very accommodating and the room and bathroom were totally spotless. The bed seemed to be at a bit of an angle due to small wheels at the foot of the bed, but it wasn't really a big deal and I slept very comfortably. The cats were also shy but sweet

We had a beautiful stay! We were in the area for the Brimfield antique market and this was a great place to come home to. The room was large and had everything we needed. We woke up to French press coffee and had eggs and toast before we headed out for the day. It's only a 10mim drive to Amherst where we had a lovely dinner and a spa treatment--nice town to explore. We would definitely stay here again and our hosts made us feel comfortable and relaxed. Thanks Erin and Anne!

Great hospitality! We got in late, and Erin was super flexible. We had a scrumptious breakfast in the morning and fun conversation.

Erin and Anne made us feel very welcome from the outset- we really got the impression that they like having people round, which is a lovely atmosphere to stay in. Their house is immaculate and beautifully decorated, a really cosy and comfortable place to spend time. It was fascinating for us to hear about and see their crops, and to watch the chickens happily foraging in their pen- it's certainly inspired us to try to grow more in our little garden at home, and the greenhouse has been reserved almost exclusively for chillies now! The surrounding country is very pretty- not too far from the highway so it's simple to get to, but far enough that it felt we were seeing an area we otherwise wouldn't have have the chance to explore. We had a lovely misty walk down by the railway line. Breakfast was outstanding, with fresh garden produce. Top dinner recommendations for tacos too! Thank you!

I was so happy to find this place on airbnb because I was going to a workshop with my husband in Amherst, and the hotels I checked in the area were all booked! The room looked great and were even cheaper than the hotel prices, and so I sent a request. Erin immediately responded and I got the room in no time! Thanks for that! I liked that the room was exactly the same as the picture shown on the airbnb site. The hosts were amazing and supportive! They greeted us at the late night time and made us feel comfortable and welcomed. The breakfast was super healthy! Erin and Anne grow their own food,and cook amazing, tasty meals and share them with you, even the cool recipes! :) I got a recipe of Chia seeds pudding! Can't wait to try making it!! Highly recommend this cozy place on the farm land for anyone who enjoys quietness while seeking tours to Amherst. ~Angela

Erin and Anne were incredibly gracious and helpful to us, as my fiance and I arrived at the tail end of a heavy snow storm. Erin came down to help us as our rental car was skidding up their street in the snow, we came to a fallen tree and would have had to (unsafely) drive via another route. There was no hope of any dinner outing or delivery and Erin had planned to include us in their dinner, which was unexpected and kind. Their hospitality was completely thorough and we appreciated it so much. Our schedules did not align in the morning and we were disappointed not to have been able to say goodbye.

We spent two fantastic nights at Big Sky Hilltop and could have stayed for weeks! We couldn't find fault in a single thing! The location has fantastic views, the accommodation is spotlessly clean and comfortable, Josette and Joan are welcoming, interesting, helpful and hilariously funny, we cried with laughter at times! They have a twinkle of mischief in their eyes, We are sure they could do a stand up comedy act and bring the house down! Big Sky is remote enough to be tranquil and relaxing yet close enough to Amherst for dining out or anything else you might need! Breakfast was delicious, and as Josette promised we didn't leave her breakfast table hungry. We cannot speak highly enough of this fantastic little B&B! Our stay was just too short!

Josette and Joan are the kind of hosts my husband and I enjoy the most - welcoming, warm, helpful and unobtrusive. I can not recommend staying with them highly enough, just do it! My daughter and I started our week long college tour with a 2 night stay at Big Sky. What a launch! When we arrived we felt welcomed like old friends. Josette and Joan offer legendary hospitality. The bedroom we shared was lovely: delightful art, fresh flowers, comfortable beds, fresh drinking water, good lighting, both from windows on two sides and multiple bedside lamps. It was large enough for us to spend time in there together without getting in each other's way. The common room, the kitchen, the deck and yard are just gorgeous. It's not just a beautiful house -- they've got style, Josette and Joan! And the breakfasts were delicious, even for my vegan daughter. Josette loves to cook food her guests love to eat! As other reviews indicate, they gave us plenty of tips for sightseeing and dining, though given the bountiful breakfasts, great conversation and unbelievable scenery (alpacas and donkeys, birds of brilliant plumage, and a sweeping hilltop view) we felt tempted to linger over coffee. Top notch!

The home is beautiful and very clean. Communication was great and very friendly. Great set up for my daughter and I. We would definetly go back again. Highly recoomend to anyone.

Kelsey and Eze are super friendly and extremely accommodating. The bed is very comfortable with a close bathroom. My roommate and I would definitely stay here again!

The house was absolutely immaculate and charming. I loved all the details, the wide plank floors, the painted murals, the beautiful linens. I slept so well. I wish we had had time to take a hike. The house is nestled at the end of a quiet residential street and has the feel of a country estate. I thought it was a great choice for college visit - 35 mins from Mount Holyoke, shorter for other local schools.

Kelsey and Eze were terrific hosts! I was in my way back from work and wanted to go to Treehouse Brewery on my journey home. Their place is about 15 minutes away from the brewery and easy to get to! The house itself was immaculate! I don't know how they keep it so clean, but it was amazing. Beautiful house inside and out. Wonderful people, could not have asked for better at my first AirBnB.

The space is great and quiet. The trails and the land is very serene. Great space to relax. Joan and Paul are great hosts. A phone call away even at 12 am when we were locked out!! Recommend them

A roomy, comfortable, quiet studio in a lovely wooded neighborhood outside Amherst. A perfect place for parents to stay when visiting their students at the five colleges. the hosts were friendly and gracious and gave us lots of privacy.

This is a quiet, verdant location and well cared-for suite with everything you need for a mind-clearing getaway!

The apartment is nestled under the main house (with it's own entrance), and it has everything: nice light and a pretty view of the backyard (which looks out on conservation land), a kitchen with everything you need to eat in (plus coffee and tea provided), a super comfy bed, and best of all, right outside the door there are numerous hiking trails into the woods. Mt. Holyoke State Park is less than five minutes' drive (and there are trails that connect to it from the house if you are ready for a loooong hike). There's also Mt. Pollux literally across the street: a short walk up takes you to gorgeous views of the sunset. The hosts are lovely and have thought of everything.

Just such a lovely space and hosts! Really warm and kind people who even gave me a ride to campus for my conference and offered me an umbrella. The apartment is clean, quiet, with a great bed and shower and a full kitchen. I wish I had thought to bring a car, but could still uber places quickly!

Laura was out of town, but her husband and son were very helpful, checking me in, finding out if I needed quiet in the evening, and offering me a ride in the morning. Private bathroom. Two pets -- dog and cat. I was in town for an event at Hampshire College, which was only a mile away. It was easy for me to walk to campus, as I didn't have a car. Several restaurants within walking distance.

My experience at Laura's was great. Her listing was conveniently available last minute for me since I had fallen sick before starting a new job in the area. The room was as described and there were no issues.

Laura and Zack were great hosts! We arrived to a comfy room with all the necessary amenities. From the moment we got there, Laura and Zack pretty much told us to use the home like it was our own. My wife and I had our own private bathroom to use as well! We were super busy with looking for a place to live for our upcoming move to Amherst, so we didn't have too much time to get to know Laura and Zack, but we did manage to hang out with them a little. Zack invited us on his morning walk of his two cats, and it was really hilarious. We had a great time!

Zack and Laura are an excellent host family. Zack was so friendly that I really enjoyed staying there. We talked about the difference between our cultures, and hanged out with his cute dog and 2 cats.

Laura and her husband were great hosts. I was 3 hrs later getting in than I said I would be and the atmosphere was still very welcoming. Talking with her husband and Laura during breakfast was a pleasant start to a good day for my Brimfield Antique hunting.
