  • Perfect little cottage for 2 people! It offers a great view of the mountains! Super clean and very cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. Free parking. We didn't get the chance to meet Jo Ann in person but she replies quickly and she made sure we were able to check-in easily. I would definitely recommend this airbnb to anyone!

    Brittany2020-03-03T00:00:00Z
  • Jo Anna place is a lovingly restored old forge. It is really tastefully decorated and oh so quiet and restful. It is like Jo herself, small but perfect. We are a couple with 3 dogs and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jo was there to meet us and check us in and we had a great chat with her and her four beautiful children. (Superwoman eat your heart out) The cottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay and is toasty warm. The area is a nature lovers and walkers paradise. Book now and enjoy.

    Denise2020-03-02T00:00:00Z

    Danielle2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • Very clean, cosy and comfortable. No hassle with late check in and no problem arranging a late check out although I didn't need it in the end. Never met Jo Ann but didn't need to as all was taken care of before I arrived and she was quick to return my messages. Definitely recommended.

    Derek2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was clean, warm (during our cold winter month stay) and had everything needed! Jo Ann was incredibly kind and hospitable.

You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the views, and the location. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and furry friends (pets). We are only 45 minutes from Cork city, 1 hour drive from Waterford and Limerick city. The new Greenway in Dungarvan is a big attraction for cyclists and keen walkers well worth a visit, Ardmore village is well worth a visit , with the lovely cliff walk and and lovely beach, Youghal is also worth a visit, with lovely food at the Sir Walter hotel
The Cottage is compact yet it is more than adequate for 2 people to have a quiet relaxing short break in comfortable surroundings.
We live in a very lush and mountainous area of West Waterford, North Cork, we are so fortunate to have lovely views and gorgeous scenery
  • The place is a cute one bedroom apartment with kitchen-livingroom area all together. The bedroom is spacious and has a small wardrobe for leaving belongings. Note that the shower is inside the bedroom separated from the bathroom, also, if you have long hair, be aware that there is not much water pressure. The central heating worked perfectly and there is fireplace as well that can be used if needed. The kitchen is fully equipped with plates, cutlery and pots and was kept clean. All-in-all, the stay was pleasant and the place has all you might need for a weekend or a few days surrounded by nature!

  • Just returned from a fabulous weekend in Theresa’s cottage. It is such a gorgeous little spot and there were some lovely little touches. The fire was lit upon arrival which made it very cosy. It has stunning views and the location makes it easy to travel to nearby towns and cities. I’ll be back again!

    Gina2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • Just returned from a wonderful night stay at Theresa's cottage. Lovely peaceful location to unwind. Cottage very clean and cosy with a beautiful stove fire burning when we arrived. Everything we needed, will definitely return.

    Alison2020-01-13T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage is a beautiful place to stay! Theresa allowed me to check in slightly earlier because it was empty from the night before, which was very handy as I arrived earlier than expected. The stove was lighting when I arrived, a lovely touch! There's plenty of kitchen utensils and cooking facilities, and the dogs that greet you at the doorstep in the morning are very friendly and excited to meet new people. Would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a walking trip, or a cosey quiet night away!

    Ciara2020-01-12T00:00:00Z

We live 2km from the sleepy village of Ballyporeen, between the Knockmealdown and the Galtee mountains . Our house is 12 km from Mitchelstown, 20 km from Cahir , 50 km from Cork city. Mitchelstown caves are close, also Cahir castle, Rock of Cashel, Althasel Priory, High crosses of Ahenny, Ormond castle, Main Gaurd; So an ideal base to explore the culture and ancient places... Do come!
Our house is renovated to modern standards. It is an original Tipperary county council cottage built in the 19th century for the workers and their families. One of the double beds is in the 'new part', but we have two more rooms in the 'old part'; We'll have to share the bathroom and kitchen as this is my home. and not a hostel/hotel :)
The neighbourhood is very green, we're surrounded by fields, with cows. The local village has 3 pubs, but it's ok to BYO....
  • Hilary's cottage was warm and welcoming and full of lovely Irish character. She was a wonderful friendly host with lots of information about places to see in the area. I'd be happy to recommend her place to stay :-)

  • Perfect room and lovely friendly home

    David2020-01-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was an incredible experience. We booked last minute on the afternoon we needed a place to stay and Hillary was very accommodating setting us up with 2 rooms with private bathroom and super quick responses via messenger. Most adorable cottage, breathtaking views, quaint decor. Incredible hospitality. We swapped stores over tea and she gave us travel tips for the next day. We will always look back on our first night in Ireland as a peaceful and beautiful rest.

    Emily2020-01-15T00:00:00Z
  • The Rock is a lovely quirky home in a beautiful rural setting. Hilary is a font of local and regional knowledge the suggestions and tips she gave us for Cork were spot on. I was over with my son for a cousin’s funeral in the neighbouring village so we do kind of know the area and have our connections there. The house is solid, warm and comfortable and there was a fire blazing every evening on our return. The basics are all there for a great stay and Hilary is an interesting and generous host.

    Maura2019-10-25T00:00:00Z

Annabel was very accomodating and communication was brilliant before and during my stay - would highly recommend to stay here if in the area or looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

  • Amazing place to visit for Animal and nature lovers. Our family of 4 had the best time on the farm. Coziest log house and everything you’ll need to cook and keep yourself busy. Friendliest hosts! Annabel and Andrew spoilt us with eggs from their farm and even let us borrow their Wellies for the weekend. It is also lovely to see how well their animals are taken care of. Thank you for a wonderful time. We’ll definitely be back

    Elsabe2020-03-15T00:00:00Z
  • Annabel’s place was perfect! It’s in a beautiful location in the country but close enough drive to town if you need anything. If you’re an animal lover like myself you will have no regrets staying here. The home is comfortable and clean and had everything we needed to cook dinner and breakfast. I miss it already and will definitely return my next time to Ireland. Thank you Annabel and Andrew!

  • Could not wish for a better getaway for a weekend. This stay is truely unique. The cabin was perfect and LOVED the tour of the animals. We particularly loved the little goats. Would love to come back to visit again.

    Mairead2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing place! The cabin was so clean and super cozy, but of course the best part was Annabel taking us on the grand tour of the animal sanctuary. Take outdoor boots and plenty of apples and bananas for the lemurs and raccoons, and prepare to cuddle the most adorable baby goats. It's a surreal experience waking to the sound of howling wolves, and we can't wait to go back and do it again!!

  • Kerry's place was really beautiful. Kerry made a real effort and put some thoughtful decorations for Christmas out. It was cosy and lovely surroundings and perfect for us as we were visiting family who were close to Kerry's cabin. Thanks somuch for making our christmas break special xx

  • Very quiet, well furnished, warm. Just what we needed after a very loud and disruptive house sale and move, we originally booked for two nights and extended and extra night twice as was just so restful and quiet which gave perfect sleep. Wifi and TV worked well no issues, close to Clonmel and Cahir and the Comeraghs which are jyst stunning. Would def stay at again if in area. Close by neighbours but not an issue.

    Wesley2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely warm and spacious cottage with easy access to the towns and villages of south Tipperary. Fantastic views of the Knockmealdown mountains. Kerry is a great host, and I'd be delighted to stay here again.

    Rob2019-10-27T00:00:00Z
  • This is a lovely little cottage, I travel a lot for work and Kerry's cottage has just become my new fave sleepover spot! It was blissfully quiet, with lovely views and friendly horses in the next field. But I was really impressed with the quality of the furnishings and all the little touches. Smart TV, decent reading lamp in the bedroom, well kitted out kitchen and Kerry had even left me stuff for breakfast! I only stayed one night but it was better than any hotel experience and I'll definitely be back again!

    Lorraine2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Kerry was a lovely host, lots of nice little touches. Will definately visit again. Scenery was amazing, lovely neighbours and a lovely space.

    Aileen2019-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • This lovely home had beautiful views and plenty of space for my husband and me to relax as we winded down our Ireland adventure. The house included cooking essentials and the host even left fresh milk for us to use for our breakfast. We were comfortable in the master bedroom but enjoyed the flexibility of two bathrooms as well. The home is a quick walk to a local pub and includes a washer to freshen up your clothing. There is no dryer though so we had to lay our clothes out overnight and hope for the best. They did (mostly) dry. :) Would definitely stay here again -- it was a quick drive to Rock of Cashel, which was a fun stop on our drive to Dublin. :)

  • I loved the Vee village house. It was spotless & so well located in the centre of a quiet village. The people in the village were very friendly. I was hiking the Knockmealdown mountains, this house is only 5.5k from the start. It is ideal for anyone hiking or just to get away for a quiet weekend. I will deffinetly be back.

    Nora2019-07-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a lovely 3 night stay in this beautifully presented and refurbished traditional end of terrace village centre cottage. Very well equipped and comfortable and a great location as Clogheen is about three miles from The Vee, one of my favourite spots in Ireland, and ideal for exploring or revisiting an area with lots to offer (around Cahir, Cashel, Clonmel etc). I didn't actually meet the hosts (there was a key safe provided) but their communications were most helpful and welcoming, as was the complimentary apple pie waiting for me!

    Jeffrey2019-07-14T00:00:00Z

    Jonathan2018-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Though our booking was last minute, Sean was very accommodating and communication from booking to check out was a breeze :) The house was cozy with homely touches throughout. Perfect place to relax after a long day hiking up the Vee etc.

    Claire2018-12-02T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to stay in a quaint, cosy cottage I would highly recommend it. It was spotlessly clean and comfy beds. It was great to arrive and to see you had the basics there to make a meal. The stairs are quite steep may be a concern for some people. Close to all the tourist attractions and beautiful walks in the mountains. Don’t miss out on the pubs in the village, we had great nights there meeting the local characters. The hosts Sean and Linda were fantastic and could not do enough for us. They were easy to contact if we had a problem and would highly recommend staying there. Best of Luck Linda and Sean.

  • Very nice cosy apartment, spotless and great coutryside. Mary was so nice and helpful. We were very happy with our stay

    Niamh2019-08-09T00:00:00Z
  • Just a wonderful stay absolutely everything supplied - Mary was a wonderful host even the little touches like bread milk and so much more! Great position for exploring and right next to a small supermarket just wonderful. The view from the back of the property was stunning! We where so pleased with the secure car park to the back also! I loved the beautiful walled garden to the back that was quite private. Thank you so much Mary for your hospitality!

    Dianne2019-05-29T00:00:00Z
  • Mary gave us a very warm welcome on our arrival, and left some supplies for us to enjoy. She is a gem and never far away if you need anything. The space is cosy and comfortable and the shop is right next door. Mary has a modern washer which we appreciated as well as good cooking facilities, and a modern bathroom. Recommend for a couple or single traveller, plenty of space and lovely garden. We found many great attractions to enjoy in the area, Mary gave us lots of tips. Lynn and Alan

  • This apartment was clean, fully-stocked, had plenty of room for two people, and had a great view of the hills. While the town of Clogheen is quite small, it is in the perfect location for exploring the area by car. There are tons of things to see within an hour drive, and quite a few in less than a thirty minute drive. Mary was friendly, responsive to every need, and gave us plenty of tips about the area. We would definitely stay here again!

    Phillip2018-09-28T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic town with fantastic people.

  • Neat and tidy great bathroom Host very attentive if needed gave us a great welcome

    Chris2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • At Mary's place in Clogheen, you step straight into a welcome cosiness, with everything and more you could require for a stay in this lovely part of Ireland. It may not look very special from the outside as you drive into the back yard to park the car, yet the little pebble dash row stands shabbily proud of it's heritage. Outside the back door, perfectly placed by Mary, a little table and chairs from which to enjoy the amazing view of the mountains across the yard. Inside, the space is generous and clean, furnished in a homely manner which makes it instantly comfortable and charming. The bedroom was clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The shower room was sparkling clean, with a brilliant shower, soft fluffy towels and a range of little toiletries if you may have forgotten your own. Mary was a kind and generous host, who welcomed us with friendly conversation. She gave us tips on where to visit in the area, without which we would have missed so much! Cashel and Cahir are both beautiful little towns within easy driving distance. We took a stunning drive over the mountains to the sea at Youghal. If you're looking for a modern, luxury fitted apartment in a swish location this place is not for you, however, if you're looking for comfort, good amenities, a taste of real rural Ireland, you won't do much better than this.

  • We had a terrific experience staying at the Art truck. 1st we signed up for Bryce's bike tour. The Galtee mountains are beautiful and the bikes are a blast (electric assist 😉). Bryce is a great tour guide and has an excellent knowledge of the local history. The art truck is so unique and has been set in the perfect position on the property. We woke up in the morning to the most serene view of the Galtees and such a great way to start the day 😊. Deirdre is an accomplished painter and her incredible artwork is all around to admire. We had an amazing time and would recommend the art truck experience to anyone. Thanks again Bryce and Deirdre.

  • We had a great few days away from the hustle and bustle of the city in Marion's cottage. The place is lovely and Marion was very helpful whenever we needed it.

  • wonderful spot, everything you need for a great stay in Tipperary.

    James2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • I don’t have enough good things to say about this cottage and the host Marion. The cottage had so much character and warmth! There were so many thoughtful touches and details and Marion was more than willing to help with anything that was needed. My kids loved it too! It was with a sad heart we left, but hope to return someday. I couldn’t more highly recommend this listing!!

    Nykol2019-10-15T00:00:00Z
  • Wow! What a wonderful spot. As our seven and four year old said “this is the best holiday of our life” As soon as we saw the photos of Marion’s place we knew that this was the place we wanted to stay with our three children. We could see the creativity and thought that had gone into designing, building and decorating the space. It was warm and welcoming with a real homely feel. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that you could need (including vinegar for a wasp sting) Marion had left some yummy goodies for us to enjoy, which was very much appreciated. The location itself is beautifully rural, just the kind of holiday we like, with plenty of things within driving distance to explore (Cashel, Cahir, Mitchelstown caves and the beautiful glen of Aherlow) The kids had great fun in the garden with the many swings and areas to hide. Whilst The hosts live right next door, at no point did they intrude on our time, we were left to come and go and enjoy our holiday as we pleased. If we had needed them, they were right there though. The handcrafted elements of the house are inspiring, it’s super clean and it just “works”. Even our seven year old commented on all the beautiful details of the house, wanting us to try and recreate some at home! We are already plotting our return.

    Rebecca2019-08-29T00:00:00Z
  • A charming cottage carefully detailed with all one can wish to have in a dreamy holidays. Even listening the rain rattling the windows roof, while comfortably resting in bed, is an inequal pleasure. Sourronding by Nature, you can see deers standing peacefully in the woods. Marion is a super host. We had a problem and she was more than helpful whit us. She gave us a very seewt welcome. An incredibly wonderful house, full of exquisite details. A place to feel really comfortable and enjoy the green abundance of the island. Marion is an endearing woman who takes care of every detail to make your stay unforgettable. It is the best house of all we have stayed in (and we have stayed in a few).

    Belen2019-08-11T00:00:00Z
  • Cozy cottage with everything you need. Marion had prepared a welcome pack that brought us over the first thirst for arrival. The garden is beautiful, a paradise for children too, and is adjacent to a small river. The location is a bit out of the way, you have to drive a bit. But you really do not want to get away from the cuddly log fire and the lovely furnishings.

    Kilian2019-08-05T00:00:00Z
  • Cottage was absolutely amazing and garden is breath taking. Marion made us feel so welcome and we had a lovely surprise waiting for us and the kids. It was great to get kids out of house and away from technology with plenty to do in the garden. We are already planning our next visit and would definitely recommend to all our family and friends.

    Liam2019-08-02T00:00:00Z

  • Well, how to describe our few days at the Old Byre, perfect! I had good expectations just from reading the reviews and it definitely didn't disappoint. From the warm welcome on a cold and wet afternoon to how beautiful the Old Byre and the surrounding landscape it, we couldn't have asked for a nicer time away.

  • Grainne’s place was absolutely beautiful - the warm welcome, the stylish interior, the cosy stove and the lovely views. As it was a snowy night, Grainne very kindly went out of her way to keep the fire going for us when we were out to dinner. She left a lovely breakfast for us too. Will definitely be back if we can!

  • Excellent accommodation, very warm and cosy, very clean and extremely comfortable. Good value. Also very stylish and well equipped. Lovely peaceful setting, you won't want to leave!

  • My mom and I absolutely loved our stay here! Grainne was a wonderful host, with fresh baked scones available on our arrival. The location was superb both in relation to the town and to our family who we were visiting, while also offering the most gorgeous views of the Irish countryside and a quick drive to the Vee. We slept better here than we even do at home—it was so peaceful and comfortable! We will definitely be staying here again next time we visit Lismore!

    Erin2020-02-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time. Grainne was an outstanding host. The home was very tastefully decorated, the bed and linens were soft and comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. The host even brought us bread for breakfast. We can’t wait to come back! The nicest AirBnb we have ever stayed at.

    Katherine2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Grainne is a well deserving super host with a beautiful, tasteful and homely designed property. It’s decorated to an extremely high standard with some wonderful thoughtful touches and themes. Although I didn’t get to meet Grainne myself she was very responsive and helpful as was Pat her husband. Sitting out storm Ciara playing chess in front of that beautiful stove was magic. I will definitely be returning. This is an incredible property.

  • We had an amazing stay. Joanne's place is very charming, cosy and homely. When we got there the fire was lit and she had left a welcoming basket with food and a lovely wine. The views are beautiful and it's very quiet. It was very relaxing and perfect for our team who were working in Tipperary Town for the week. Joanne is a great host. We would definitely recommend. It's an ideal place for a romantic break.

Stay in a beautifully restored 2 bed farmhouse in Ballylooby, Cahir, Co. Tipperary in the heart of the Golden Vale. Situated on a working farm, this 100 year old farmhouse comes full with Irish charm and character.
This is an incredible opportunity to stay in a beautiful traditional Irish cottage in the heart of the Irish countryside. Located in a working farm with cattle and horses, this cottage is a real gem with the famous Irish hospitality included. Contains 1 bedroom with double bed, and 1 single bedroom.
There are TONS of things to do in the area: COUNTRYSIDE: Walk the Vee in the nearby Sugar Loaf mountains. The Vee is famous because of the breathtaking panoramic views afforded to travellers and sight seers going through the pass. The journey rises to about 2,000 feet (610m) above sea level above Bay Lough, and as it does so it gives wonderful views of a portion of the ‘Golden Vale’ between the Knockmealdown and Galtee Mountain Ranges. RAMBLING: If walking is your thing, then the area around the Vee, Bay Lough, Loughglenbridge, Sugar Loaf Hill, Knockshanahullion and Gortacullen Wood (just under the Vee following the Tipperary Heritage Way sign) offer a multitude of choices no matter what type of road walking or mountain climbing you fancy. Take a look at our Walks section to give you an idea of some of your options. HISTORY: Visit nearby Cahir Castle, one of the largest castles in Ireland, is sited on an island in the river Suir. It was built in 1142 by Conor O'Brien, Prince of Thomond. This is a magnificent must see option for any visit to Cahir. The Rock Of Cashel is also a short drive away. It's huge, it's complex, it's iconic, there is nothing like it anywhere else in the world and it's right here in Cashel at the heart of Tipperary. The Rock of Cashel (Carraig Phádraig), more formally St. Patrick's Rock, it is also known as Cashel of the Kings. Reputedly the site of the conversion of Aenghus the King of Munster by St. Patrick in the 5th century AD. Long before the Norman invasion The Rock of Cashel was the seat of the High Kings of Munster. SHOPPING: The cottage is a short drive away from the heritage town Cahir, full of interesting shops and pubs and an excellent tourist office set on the banks of the majestic river Suir (perfect for a lazy afternoons picnic!) GOLF: There are many golf courses in the area, including Cahir, Tipperary, Thurles, Ballykisteen and Dundrum House golf club. If you are a golfer this is the perfect location for you! EQUESTRIAN: Tipperary is home to Coolmore Stud in Fethard and many equestrian entreprises due to the superb quality of its limestone based grass. Whether you want to go horse trekking, racing or play polocrosse, there is something for everyone here. Cahir is a really beautiful part of Ireland and we look forward to welcoming you!

Burke’s Place is situated in a secluded setting on Carrigeen Mountain, below Galtymore above the village of Kilbeheny, County Limerick. We are located on the mountain and are surrounded by beautiful countryside and peaceful hill walks.
We have a large, comfortable family home and we have welcomed family and friends to our home for many years as the children were growing up. Now we would like to offer our home and hospitality to Airbnb guests as our nest continues to empty. Burke’s Place is an ideal spot to unwind after a day’s hillwalking or sightseeing or just to spend time away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. We can accommodate up to 3 guests with a comfortable single room and double room. The double room is a separate listing but can be booked with the single room. As we are 7 miles from the nearest town we offer a light breakfast to all guests to set you up for the day. The breakfast is included in the room prices. For an extra charge we can provide packed lunches and an evening meal if required. Bedroom. We are offering a single room on the first floor. Guests will have access to their own bathroom on the first floor which consists of a toilet, sink and bath. The shower room is on the ground floor and is shared. Living areas. The living areas of the house are comfortable and are open to guests to relax or unwind at the end of the day. There are stoves in both living areas for the chilly nights on the mountain. Guests can have privacy or may choose to engage with the family. It is entirely up to the guest’s preferences. Dining. We offer a light breakfast for guests (which includes home baking). There is a large dining room and guests have access to a microwave, kettle and toaster. For any guests taking to the hills we can provide a packed lunch and evening meals can be arranged on request (at an additional charge). Access to Technology. There is access to Wi-Fi but due to our location it is basic. It is suitable for general internet browsing, organising travel plans etc. but not suitable for downloading of movies, online games etc. For overseas guests who do not have access to a phone provider, we do provide a basic mobile ‘pay as you go’ phone that can be used for making dinner reservations etc. and for emergencies, especially for guests who are taking to the hills.
The Local Area. Carrigeen Mountain is located in County Limerick within the Galty Mountain range on the border with the counties of Tipperary and Cork. The house is south facing so there are grand views of the Knockmealdown Mountains of Tipperary and Waterford. As you step out of the door there are numerous walks for every level of fitness whether you want to climb to the summit of Galtymore or enjoy a leisurely walk. The name "Galty” roughly derives from "Mountains of the Forests" in English. The Galty Mountains are Ireland's highest inland mountain range. The highest peak is Galtymore which rises to 3009 Ft. There are 5 corrie lakes on the mountain range including Lough Musky, Lough Curra, and Lough Bohreen. Along the outlying ridge of the Galty Mountains lies Moanour Mountain. Part of this mountain has been protected as a Special Area of Conservation due to the presence of rare grassland habitat and rare arctic alpine plants such as the small white orchid. Between the Galty Mountains and the Slievenamuch Ridge is the Glen of Aherlow, a stunningly beautiful valley that is also very popular with walkers. There are also shorter local walks that take in the beautiful scenery and seclusion of the area. We can advise you on local walks or hillwalking and can provide maps if needed. Kilbeheny Village is 10 minute’s drive from the house and the nearest town is Mitchelstown which is twenty minutes drive. It is a 15-minute drive to the M8 (Motorway link between Dublin and Cork). Cork City & Limerick City are approximately an hour’s drive away. Local places of interest include Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage, The Rock of Cashel, Mitchelstown Caves, Lismore Castle & Gardens, Mount Mellary, the beautiful Vee Valley and the Glen of Aherlow. We can advise you on local eateries, events etc. on your visit. Burke’s Place is ideal for hill walkers or guests who want to get to know the local area. Whatever the activity all guests can relax in a peaceful, friendly, comfortable environment. The History. My Father was born at Burke's Place and my Mother was born in the neighbouring townland of Carrigeen. The house was always known as Burke’s Place so we have retained the name. My parents were part of the mass emigration from the mountain in the 1950’s and they made a life for themselves in England. As children we spent our summers here so I have a huge emotional connection to the mountain. My father’s home place was sold out of the family but 20 years later myself and my husband purchased the cottage and land to raise our own family.
  • Kathleen and Sam were some of the most thoughtful and lovely hosts I have ever met! It was such a cozy stay with everything I needed and much more. We have a wonderful vegetarian dinner and breakfast with plenty of great conversation and tips on the area! I also had a very nice bath and plenty of tea. Thank you so much!!

  • Very lovely couple, I had to book unexpectedly at last minute but Kathleen made me feel very welcome, even welcomed me with snacks and tea even though she had just gotten off work. I really appreciate the hospitality and cleanliness of her and her husband. Being mid December this southern girl was a bit chilly but the extra blankets given to me made for a cozy nights sleep. Thank you for everything, beautiful view, lovely breakfast and conversation- highly recommended!

  • Really enjoyed my stay in this beautiful house. It's in a secluded location surrounded by trees and birdsong. The views of the surrounding Galtee mountains are fab. If you enjoy nature and beautiful scenery this is the place to stay. Kathleen is a really pleasant host and the fruit pot for breakfast was delicious.

  • Wonderful hosts and great hospitality all round! Very clean.

    Karina2017-09-13T00:00:00Z
  • I was welcomed into Kathleen and Simon's beautiful home like a member of the family. Tea and home made scones on arrival looking out to stunning views of the mountains was superb. My room was spotless, spacious and the bed was the most comfortable I'd slept in throughout my 12 days of travel in Ireland! Kathleen and Simon were most helpful with directions to a wedding venue I needed to find and sorting me out with a hairdryer. Nothing was too much trouble and they were very relaxed which made my stay a real pleasure. I would definitely stay again and recommend them wholeheartedly :)

My place is a five minute drive to Kilshane House Hotel for wedding guests. Beautiful walks nearby my Cottage here. I'm less than a one hour drive from Cork, Kilkenny, Dungarvan and Waterford and 40 minutes from Limerick so central. The beautiful Glen of Aherlow is nearby with great walks, cycle trails and horse riding. You’ll love my place because of the stove, the comfy bed, the kitchen, the cosiness, the high ceilings and the views. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers and families
I'm also 5 minutes from Cahir, the historical town with Cahir Castle and the Swiss Cottage in the beautiful Cahir Park with mature trees and the river Suir. The Mitchelstown caves are a 15 minute drive away. The town of Cashel is also a 15 minute drive where u have the fabulous Rock of Cashel which is a must see!! For the golfer you are spoilt for choice of golf courses nearby. The Glen of Aherlow scenic drive is just down the road from me, drive along country roads with fabulous views of the Galtee mountains ( which are fantastic for hikers) and continue on to Aherlow House Hotel where u get the most amazing views of the Galtees and on the way home stop off at the Coach Road Bar for a drink and meet the friendly locals. As you can see, plenty to do when you stay at my cottage.
  • Patrick was a very accommodating host sharing his wealth of knowledge on the area for things to see and do. The fire was ready for us on arrival which was a nice touch and the cottage had all the amenities needed to ensure a cosy and relaxing few days away. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet break

From great local recommendations of places to eat, to ensuring the wood fire was lit before we arrived. A lot of thoughtful touches in the cottage, including hot water bottles and toiletries. Highly recommend if you're passing through!

  • A great value 3 bed house in a beautiful village, the house was very clean and cosy warm. There was a lovely log burner in the lounge, lots of little touches like shampoos, shower gels and hairdryers; little essentials in the kitchen. Loads of towels and comfy beds. A couple of friendly pubs and beautiful scenery.

    Katrina2020-02-18T00:00:00Z
  • The house is really lovely, clean and extremely comfortable. The bed was lovely too. Everything you’d need is there. Some very nice touches to make the stay a home away from home. It was great to find a dog friendly place too. Next door to a lovely little pub and another directly across the road where we found the locals to be lovely and friendly. Some really nice walks in the area also. There were only two of us and the dog but the house sleeps 8 comfortably. It’s great value for a group of people. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if in the area.

  • Very clean and way more spacious than what the photos make it out to be. Slept 6 adults a toddler and 2 babies comfortably, plenty of room and a beautiful traditional Irish town. A tiny clean town of 200 people, 3 pubs, no shops. The beautiful town of Lismore has a big centra and the hot counter at Mace is superb. For a quite get away in a traditional Irish setting this is great.

    Nick2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Just perfect again in every aspect, just a pleasure to deal with Theresa and ray at her lovely home.
