We had the most awesome time! Bud and Diane went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. Notwithstanding the spacious accommodations, they even prepared snacks for us when we first arrived. On the first day, my parents also arrived at a very late time and Bud agreed to meet me before arrival to pass me the keys. Lovely place and hosts. Will definitely recommend!

Aaaaah, home again! this was my second visit to The Pool House, and it was as delightful as the first. Robert and Diane again welcomed me with fruit and pastry, and all the features of the house that I liked so much the first time were there once again. As before, the house takes advantage of the California light, and the cozy but totally functional kitchen, the comfy bed, the bright modern bathroom, and the abundance of closet space made my second trip feel like "coming home." I look forward to my next visit.

This home was located in a very exclusive neighborhood in Atherton. The surrounding homes were breathtaking. The host was on a trip when we arrived but we were welcomed by their friend who made sure our stay was complete. As an added bonus that they gave us breakfast items and filled the home with flowers. We would definitely return.

I had a relaxing stay at Carter's guest house. The house was situated behind the main home, and came equipped with HD tv, strong wifi, and a massage chair to enjoy both. Would strongly recommend staying here for all your Palo Alto business trips.

Carter's home is beautiful and the bed/pillows were so comfortable. Lots of space to do yoga and Carter was very kind/generous in making sure my stay was comfortable. The neighborhood is lovely and quiet. I will definitely book here again!

My first experience with Airbnb was a success. A fair ratio quality price which is a much better choice than the hotels/motels in the area. An excellent location in one of the most wanted area in the neigbourhood and a warm welcome as guest by Carter and Hilary. I will come back !

Carter and Hillary's backyard cottage was an excellent choice for my business travel. The WiFi was strong, bed comfortable, and plenty (and I mean all) of the necessities for me. Highly recommend this place for a quaint place to stay, that is just off the Camino real and an easy place to get to.

This is my personal favorite. Once you stay here you will never want to stay anywhere else. Stephanie is the best host. Always a house warming note.

Bernadette was an excellent host. We would occasionally eat dinner together (sometimes I cooked; sometime she cooked). We even went out to visit a local winery together! Bernadette has a very nice home; the walls are decorated with cool and interesting paintings. The home has heated flooring. The backyard is really nice. I had a bicycle and she provided me with a bike stand, and a garage door opener to allow me to take my bicycle in and out of the garage with ease. A coffee machine, coffee grinder, and real coffee beans was provided. She also provided some oatmeal/snacks/cereal/tea for breakfast. Bernadette gave me plenty of privacy, but also was willing to engage in some interesting conversations during the evening. ***Post Accuracy*** The description of the place is accurate. The place is as pictured. It is good sized and I had plenty of room to work and relax. As stated in the posting, the location does not have good public transportation; you will need a car or have to Uber to get places. ***Amenities*** Nice desk in room. Washer and dryer are top of the line. Full kitchen access was provided. The amenities included a rice cooker, microwave, convection/toaster oven, and gas stove. The main oven in the kitchen is broken, but the convection/toaster oven was more than adequate. She assigned me a couple of shelves and a veggie drawer to use in the refrigerator (unfortunately no room was available in the freezer), and a shelf in the garage for my dry goods. I was able to whip up some pretty fancy home made meals. Nice big screen TV with stereo "surround-sound" in the living room. The only issue I had during the stay was that the WiFi was spotty. ***Cleanliness*** Bernadette is very meticulous and keeps the house very clean. ***Location*** House is in a very safe neighborhood. Off-street parking was provided. ***Value*** This is an excellent value for the location. It is difficult to find a place in Redwood City at this price and location. Overall, I would definitely be willing to book this place again and highly recommend this place to all AirBNBers.

Awesome value! The check-in was very easy and pleasant. The communication by the host was extremely quick responses, clear, and pleasant. The place was a real treat being newly remodeled and a lot of attention to detail (thanks for the motion detector in the bathroom!). After living in the area previously, I think this might be the only house in RWC that you don't hear, let alone feel, the train. A great retreat while traveling for work and cheaper than all of the hotels in the area. Will definitely return here again.

We had a really nice stay at Mateo's apartment. We went to a wedding at Menlo Circus Club and the apartment was a quick and cheap Lyft ride to the venue and to Menlo Park where our friends were staying. The apartment was really clean and nicely decorated, and pet friendly is always a plus for us! Mateo sent clear instructions for check-in that were easy to follow, and we didn't have any issues. I'm not sure if there was a parking spot, but we didn't have any trouble finding street parking right out front throughout our weekend stay. Thanks, Mateo!

This was a fantastic place for what I wanted. Mind you it is a cottage and what you get is a rustic place but clean and so well located. If you want modern chic, this is not your place. Donna and Fred were great hosts. After a few days of eating in a hospital cafeteria, I was treated to being so near the downtown of Menlo Park in finding superb dinning options. I would definitely stay here again.

Simple, enjoyable stay. This cottage is very cozy and in great condition. Located behind the main house at the back of the property, you have a lot of privacy. I spent three nights here and felt 100% comfortable. They provide a parking spot for you.

We reserved Donna's place for my boyfriend's parents, who were visiting us in Palo Alto for Thanksgiving. We were hosting dinner at our place but just needed a place for them to sleep. It fit all of our needs as it was conveniently located, comfortable, and allows small dogs (his parents have a Shih Tzu). They communicated quickly and easily and their studio was setup perfectly. I was able to sit out on the patio and work, they provided fresh fruit and snacks and it was a really quiet and comfortable place. I would rate it at the top of my Airbnb experiences. Sherwood even checked on me once I arrived to make sure everything was going well. Definitely hope to stay there again.

I had a wonderful stay at Marcy and Sherwood's place. It is in a convenient but quiet location not far from the restaurants of Santa Cruz Avenue in Menlo Park and also convenient to Stanford and Palo Alto. The photos don't do the place justice! Super comfy bed large spacious room and efficient but well appointed bathroom. A pantry is provided for coffee tea cold drinks etc. The side yard has a small private gated courtyard. Which keeps the suite completely private. There is a dedicated parking spot as well.

Sherwood and Marcy were excellent hosts. Their communication was on point (we didn't worry about a thing!) and upon arriving at their lovely residence in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, we were greeted with refreshments including delicious scones! We were really delighted to learn that indeed the place was newly renovated as other reviews had indicated. The décor was beautifully done (in soft muted ocean tones--just right for a relaxing getaway!) Moreover, Sherwood and Marcy had truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable (extra towels, blow dryer, toaster oven, coffee maker, wine glasses, etc.). The small kitchenette was great for when we wanted to have a quick bite or coffee before embarking on our day's adventures. We felt like we were staying at a boutique hotel! One great point of the location is that it's just a short walk from downtown Menlo Park which is filled with cafes, restaurants, and stores. I had such a pleasant experience at Sherwood and Marcy's airbnb listing. I felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel - the studio apartment was immaculately clean, with just the right thoughtful touches to make you feel at home. The bed was cozy, the kitchenette well-outfitted, and there were even a selection of snacks and breakfast items waiting for me! Perfectly sized for a single traveler or a couple. I especially loved the private entrance and side patio with a little table and adirondack chairs. I wish I'd had more time and better weather to enjoy the outdoor space! The neighborhood is residential and peaceful, but less than a 10-minute walk to downtown Menlo Park. Unfortunately due to my busy agenda, I never got the chance to meet Marcy and Sherwood, but they were very attentive hosts who stayed in touch to make sure I had everything I needed. I will absolutely book here again next time I'm in town :)

The queen bed is very comfortable, and she provided a water bottle with chocolates by the bedside, and offered me some fresh baked apple tart while I was staying there, as well as fresh fruit and use of the refrigerator. It was so nice having room to park in her driveway, and she had wi-fi free too. Light sleepers be aware that host snores and it is audible in your room in this nice quiet house.

Everything has been great at Annelene's. She has been my first airbnb host and I couldn't have been luckier. She has tried to help me with everything from the very beginning, since I arrived from Europe and I was without a car. The room was perfect, with a comfortable bed and any possible confort too. Annelene doesn't give you just a house, the whole experience and feeling in the house is great, with nice guests with who you can share a meal or talk about your day. Of course you have full privacy too if that's what you want. The garden outdoor offers also good space for relaxing or even reading a book. Highly recommended, just be careful: you won't want to leave after you have been here ;)

Tony needs to clean up his place. The space was a very nice size and updated kitchen and shower. The rug in the bedroom was filthy as was the entry rug. The linens, bedding and towels were horrible. The place needs a professional cleaning. Two year old mayonnaise in the Frig. The Netflix account was unaccessible because too many people share his account. All tv was through Roku which is fine but there was not way for conventional tv viewing.

The property has a long driveway. It is very quiet, well gardened with trees, and feels safe. The interior has very high ceilings (14+ feet). Stonework on the floor, kitchen, and bathroom makes it feel like a set in an action movie.

Tony was highly responsive when needed, the place was well put together, and it was thoughtful of him to provide snacks at no charge. I had an issue the first night and Tony was texting with me quite late to help resolve the issue. Given the location, I feel the place represents a tremendous value.

I moved into this property when I needed to extend my stay at another space but it was already reserved. Yahong was very accommodating and the space was wonderful. Lots of room, great wifi, and well maintained.

My family and I had a really nice stay here. It's a second-story house behind the main house that the host lives in. The apartment was really clean and rather spacious (especially the kitchen!). Wifi works well, with a huge TV. Washer/dryer are coin-operated, FYI. There's not too much to do in the immediate vicinity, but it's close to Palo Alto and not too far from SF. The host was very responsive whenever we had any issues. We enjoyed our experience, especially for the cost.

This place was exactly as pictured and described. I had a wonderful stay at Rudy's this past weekend. His room was beautiful and so cozy. He provided us everything we needed during our stay. The best part was that the area was so quiet. I barely heard anything during our stay and the bed was so comfy I didn't want to get up! You get your own parking and personal entrance which was really nice! And there is a target located right down the block which is about only about a 3 minute walks away which was so convenient for us. I would definitely come back and I would recommend anyone interested in this place to stay here. You won't be disappointed!!
