Great place, great location and vary nice and accommodating people. Due to a family emergency back home I needed to leave early and they offered to help me pack and were very helpful and understanding. I will be back when I come back to town.

What better way to experience the historic city of Apalachicola, Florida than to stay in the historic Hays House! Enjoyed it so much and loved our time there.

Our stay at the Hays House Petit Jardin Studio was perfect! Molly was super welcoming upon arrival with a smile and a quick check-in. =-) The pictures of the studio were spot on. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The refrigerator was even stocked with water and breakfast! Fresh coffee was made and waiting for us right outside our door every morning. The Hays House is in a great location! It is within short walking distance from all the restaurants, bar, and shops of downtown Apalachicola. However, we slept soundly every night because the studio is tucked away in the back of the main house so it was very quiet every night. Overall, my husband and I fantastic stay at the Hays House Petit Jardin Studio. When we come back to Apalachicola, we will definitely stay here again and recommend it to our family and friends. The Hays house is lovely. Our room was just as described. It was comfortable and very clean. The bathroom was very nice. We did not get to meet Amy, but Janice was so helpful. She was there to meet us upon our arrival and she made sure all our needs were met. The town of Apalachicola was so beautiful. Everyone in town was friendly and helpful. We are foodies and we were amazed with the food and drink in this small town! The nearby beaches are incredible !! We hope to be back soon!

The Rexford Suite in Downtown Apalachicola was absolutely perfect! The suite was very spacious and had everything that we needed for our visit. The location is right in the heart of downtown and within walking distance to great restaurants, shops, bars and the riverfront. If you are looking to go to St. George Island it is just a short 15 minute drive! I highly recommend Erika's place and will certainly stay here again if we are in the area!

Spacious apartment with a fantastic location in downtown Apalachicola. Easy walking distance to restaurants and nightlife, even though the apartment itself was quiet. Reasonably equipped and very good value. Two full bathrooms (families with very small children should note both bathrooms have showers - there is no bathtub) ensuite to the bedrooms, spacious open-plan kitchen and living area. Parking was available directly outside the apartment most of the time. Supermarket is about a mile; beaches at St. Georges Island 10-15 minutes' drive.

My husband and I stayed at Karen's studio for a few nights - it was our home base when we attended a friend's wedding on St. George. When we arrived at the end of 17th St and parked, we were greeted by Carl, Karen's husband, and their three friendly chickens (and one duck). For our whole stay Carl was a great host, happy to chat with us about his lovely garden and quick to address any issues we had. As for the studio itself, the photos don't do it justice - it's beautiful inside, with great natural light. The kitchen is well equipped for whatever you may want to cook. We did experience a few oddities, namely that the water, even after filtering, had a bit of an odd/acidic taste; and there were a couple of water bugs around the place. If our lives ever bring us back to the area, though, we'd be very happy to stay again.

My son and I had a wonderful time here. It is very close to everything. So easy to walk to everything. They did offer some nice bikes to use but we did chose to walk. We was celebrating my sons 18th birthday. Even though the weather wasn't the best condition it was still wonderful. The husband and wife was very nice and very helpful to suggest great places to see. I would and will be visiting again hopefully better weather for better fishing.

We enjoyed our stay in Marisa's cozy place. It was within walking distance to the downtown area that has really nice shops and restaurants. There weren't too many things to do on a rainy day and limited time which was perfect for us as we have an infant, so we didn't feel like we missed out on anything.

Marisa's cottage is efficient,tastefully decorated and provides everything you need for an enjoyable stay for an night, week or extended stay. The town is quaint with lots of history and diversity. I've had the opportunity to travel Florida from the Keys to Panams City. Apalachicola os the most unique, laid back place I've been. If you are interested in a relaxing stay with out the trappings of corporate influence give this a try.

Apalachicola (or the panhandle in general) is the part of Florida a foreigner should have visited to have seen the "other side" side of the State: Unique, characteristic, and friendly people (who definitely know how to party and having a relaxed time)... ... great landscapes, lonley infinite beaches... ... and the(!) best seafood and sundowners around! But what we liked the most was Marisa and Danny"s place: in walking distance to "downtown" Apalachicola (and all there is to see), quiet and relaxed, conviniently furnished and decorated and just a perfect place for any couple to stay for exploring that beautiful part of the States! We'd love to come back!

The apartment was very warm and welcoming. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was equipt for cooking. The bed was very comfortable and the location was great! I feel as if the apartment was great value and I would definitely recommend it. We saw Danny (Marisa's husband) all around town and he was very kind as well! I highly recommend their Tapas restaurant too... It's the happening place to be in Apalachicola!

This suite was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a mini-getaway with my mother and aunt. The Sea Glass suite was decorated beautifully and very, very clean. Local shops and restaurants are within a couple of blocks away. Highly recommend!

The host met us when we arrived and showed us up to the room. It was a large room with a lot of space and very clean. Bed and couch bed were both comfortable. Little kitchenette was nice. Location to the rest of the cute little town was good. Great restaurant for Pizza and drinks below the room also owned by the host. Also washer and dryer onsite.

Hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly but never in an invasive way. Check in was very easy. I was impressed with the security of the building and the centralized location; we never had to drive around the city. My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and it was perfect. We were looking to stay on St.George Island but after finding this place we obviously had to stay here. We had a beautiful view and it was very spacious and relaxing.

These suites are a fantastic addition to Apalachicola. It's such a great town - the only thing it lacks is available lodging. A suite in a historic building right in the heart of "downtown" is fantastic. The Mill Pond suite is very large with great views to the river a block away. It was exactly what we expected from the listing and our hosts were friendly and helpful. We'll definitely consider it again the next time we overnight in Apalachicola, and it would be a great option for a longer stay for us and our two kids if we were looking for that. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place to stay with awesome hosts! Donna and Don were helpful, friendly, and super easy to work with. The room was really neat. Kind of that apartment above a business thing. A very old building, but everything has been restored or repaired. I liked the feel of it and I really loved that they kept the slat floors. Excellent location! Walking distance to everything Apalachicola has to offer. This was our first AirBNB experience and we're impressed.

Don and Donna were just great, almost as great as this location! You really can not beat it. The bed and linens were so comfy and everything was clean. I would recommend this location to anyone that wants to stay in a family friendly little slice of God's gift. Our favorite thing to do was to wake up in the morning and walk our 4 legged family member! The town is pet friendly, warm and welcoming. You can walk to anything and I highly encourage it, there is not telling what you will see or the hidden treasures you will find! I am a beach bum and by that I mean I am on the beach by 10am and might not leave till 7pm. In Apalachicola I actually took the time to explore and enjoy this little community! My daughter had so much fun she has already asked to go back again next year! The town shuts down at 9pm so plan dinner accordingly!

This house is literally seconds from any restaurant and shop you could want to go to in town. The house itself is gorgeous and there are plenty of communal spaces in the house to sit a large party of people comfortably and just relax. The host were amazing and responded to all of questions during the trip. I couldn't have asked for a better place!

We were made very welcome. The description is accurate. Only street parking is available and one of our rental cars was rammed by a local heroin/meth addict who appeared to be texting. I believe this is freak happening and unlikely to happen often, if at all because the streets are very quiet.

Linda's Jasmine Cottage is a pearl, nestled in a quiet neighborhood in historic Apalachicola. The town itself is quaint, with old Florida village charm, and Jasmine Cottage, with its charming purple touches, jasmine vines and picket fence, fits right in. Although we were there for an art event, and off time was limited, Linda provided us with great information about dining and places of interest. We were very comfortable in our accommodations and the private, updated, bathroom with glass shower was a delight. Linda is a gracious and charming hostess and we felt perfectly at home there, seemingly among long time acquaintances. Milo and Otis are friendly and well behaved members of the household. We look forward to another visit.

Linda's place was the perfect gateway in the whole Apalachicola Bay. It was very well located, close to the historic downtown, in a very nice neighborhood. The room was cozy and comfortable. The breakfast was awesome, with fresh fruits and homemade granola and scones. Simply delicious! Linda couldn't have been a better host, she did everything to make us feel at home, even asking Alexa (Amazon app) to play Latin music in the mornings! She also gave us great advice on what to do in the surroundings during our stay. Milo and Otis were great and friendly dogs, we enjoyed them very much. We strongly recommend the Jasmine Cottage. Wish we could have stayed longer! We'll definetively come back soon. Thanks Linda, you are the best host ever :)

Linda's place worked out great. Very nice and private master suite. Very clean! Nice touches like coffee maker in the suite and plenty of towels/washcloths, etc. She was nice enough to let me borrow her bike from shed to cruise around town!

We had a fantastic time staying aboard the Southern Comfort. It was wonderful being right on the water and we spent more time on the patio facing the water than we expected. All of the birds and boats passing by were so fun to watch. Our floating condo had everything you could ever need. Karen was a terrific host and was spot-on with all of her recommendations of places to eat, shop and just hang out with the locals. Apalachicola is a wonderful town and we couldn't have asked for more! Thank you, Karen!

We loved the room with the riverfront view! Shrimp boats and fishing boats passed by leisurely and the dolphins were a surprise attraction! The unit was easily accessible and very spacious. Note that the 2nd room wasn't a bedroom but a very large closet - large enough to accommodate a trundle bed and nightstand. Having two full bathrooms was a plus. We walked everywhere and felt safe doing so. It's at the end of the street and quiet compared to other places in the center of appalachicola.

Faye was more than helpful answering my questions about the house before the trip and I really appreciated it. The house is absolutely lovely. There is a huge view of the marsh and bay through the multiple glass doors. I felt really in touch with nature. The house is completely redone with all new windows, bathrooms (beautiful), floors, all surfaces. The decor was calm and adult (not beach kitsch) with serene colors and art. It was close to town--we all rode our bicycles to Friday night Happy Hour at the Gibson Inn and the next day to the Oyster Cook-Off. The close-by Piggly Wiggly is a fantastic grocery store!

We enjoyed the beautifully decorated room and sharing the big bathroom with the washer and dryer was easy. This Airbnb comes with homemade breakfast!

We LOVED our stay at the Hays House! the room and house were more beautiful and comfortable than I had imagined! We were near amazing food, good beer, and local music, but we had a quiet private retreat. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and chatting about the area with our charming host. Molly was ready and available to answer questions about the quirky, old house, local food, and fun activities. This weekend felt like staying in a friend's beautiful home. The Hays House and specifically our room, "Love You More," exceeded our expectations ten fold. Art drenched and finely restored, the old house greeted us with open arms. It was walking distance to EVERYTHING (shops/restaurants/bars) and a football field from the boat launch. It was an epic experience of firsts: 1st time in Apalachicola, 1st time in a bed and breakfast, and 1st time to use Airbnb. All three were a home run! Molly and Amy were gracious, welcoming, and funny. My husband and I looked forward to our mornings drinking coffee (or mimosas) with our hosts on the 2nd floor porch. Apalachicola is a gem, one of the last great small towns of the south (and Florida for that matter) where time truly slows down. We pulled our fishing boat down and spent 3 glorious days fishing and exploring private beaches just the two of us- recovering from a tough season in life. Sun weary at night, we walked to local eateries for the best seafood in the country before collapsing in our luxe king bed for the night. Thank you Molly and Amy! If you want to go to a hidden treasure of Florida, were you can relax and feel the cool breezes of the salty air and the charm of southern hospitality, then Apalachicola is a must. Everything is in walking distance and pet friendly. The food is fabulous and company is laid back and the Hayes house is convenient, charming, comfortable and welcoming. A place the that we personally fell in love with and will come back to visit again and again.

Our host, Donna, was so friendly and accommodating. It is so clear that she takes great pride in her lofts over the Slice! My husband and I stayed with our two kids and just adored the loft. The bed was so comfortable and the pull out sofa, in a separate space from the main bedroom, was comfortable as well. The loft was well-appointed and our favorite part was the balcony! We've loved Apalachicola for many years and are excited to have found a great place to stay. I'm sure we'll book with Donna again in the future!

We could not be more pleased with our stay at the Slice of Apalachicola Suites above a great pizza restaurant, The Slice. The space itself was beautiful with exposed brick walls, lots of windows and natural light, plenty of space, and a great balcony! It was very clean and modern with all the needed linens and kitchenware provided. The owners were very helpful from the on set. We had some questions during booking which were all answered promptly. Donna met us at the restaurant and was very friendly and approachable. She showed us to the rental and made us feel welcome. One of our many kudos to these owners was for the opportunity to bring our four legged family member. It helped make our experience that much more enjoyable. We would definitely recommend the Slice of Apalachicola Suites!

The Slice Suites in Apalachicola is the perfect place to stay when visiting the area. It is centrally located in the historical area and walking distance to restaurants and shops. The suites have high ceilings and original rustic brick walls and are located over the best wood oven pizza restaurant. The king size bed was so comfortable that I almost didn't want to get up in the morning. We enjoyed meeting the owners, Don and Donna. They were very friendly and went out of their way to help acquaint us with the town. Next time we are in Apalachicola, we will definitely stay here.

Pictures dont do this place justice! The apartment was bright, clean, beautifully renovated and BIG. Don & Donna were perfect hosts, their restaurant downstairs also serves up delicious pizza & ice cold local craft brews! We had re-routed our vacation to Apalach to avoid potential storm, would come back in a heartbeat. Charming people, great food and drink in a quaint, historic town just minutes from beautiful beaches! Thank you Donna & Don!

This was a lovely roomy apartment, tastefully refurbished. Apalachacola is a sleepy town, which we loved, but full of nice shops and restaurants. It was located just a short drive from St. George Island.

We absolutely loved Scipio Creek! My boyfriend and I have stayed in Apalachicola several times and I must say this is our favorite place so far. This loft is so centralized that we didn't have to drive anywhere all weekend. The balcony is perfect so you can come back from dinner and just enjoy a glass of wine on your private balcony overlooking the street. Accessibility was so easy. We came on one of the busiest days of the year; day after thanksgiving. We just walked right into the restaurant and still Donna and Don were so welcoming and took the time to show us up to our beautiful loft and chat with us. Also you can park right by the stairs and carry your stuff right up. Overall this was beyond expectations and we will definitely be back!! Thanks Don and Donna!

Really nice, quiet and spacious. Coffee maker, toaster, microwave and fridge all nice. Enjoyed our dinners at Jeff's restaurant, too. Jeff is a great host. And, best yet, a comfy mattress.

We had a wonderful stay in Apalachicola at Jeff's. The private entrance allowed us to come and go without worrying about disturbing anyone. (The Oyster Cook-Off was taking place and we ended up staying out later than expected, with some great music going on in town.) The room was large and the bed was comfy. We arrived to find snacks on the table, water and soda chilled in the mini-fridge, and coffee or tea ready to go for the morning! Jeff was especially accommodating since we had a long drive that day and weren't sure what time we would arrive. He made it easy to "check in" and was responsive and easy to communicate with. The location is just a couple minutes' drive from town - it was very simple to get to and from, though not within walking distance of downtown. Jeff left a nice array of current materials about local attractions and highlights, which we appreciated.

Jeff was very responsive and provided snacks and drinks in the fridge upon arrival. Recommend going to his restaurant, Hong Kong Bistro, in Apalachicola while staying there. Food was super good and he gave us a 10% discount for being guests. Coconut shrimp was very yummy! Thanks Jeff.

Jeff was very nice and accomidating, the bed was very comfortable, I think it was memory foam, and it was brand new! Jeff had nice additions waiting, snacks and stuff. Nice quiet location, felt very safe.

Jeff's place was perfect for me and my son. It's about 3-4 miles from my parent's' house in the downtown Apalachicola area. It was exceptionally clean and spacious, private, and quiet. Jeff also provided "starter" drinks and snacks so that we would have something to eat and drink when we arrived. The bed was extremely comfortable and my son fit the futon easily. The back yard is spacious and lovely, with fruit trees loaded with fruit. The neighborhood is a quiet, residential area, so we didn't have to worry about partiers in hotels. The price is right, too. You do need a car or bike if you want to go to the downtown area. The area doesn't have sidewalks and it's a little far to walk. That was not a problem for us. Thanks, Jeff. It was perfect!

We absolutely recommend Jeff's place! The room is spacious, clean and cosy, with cofee machine, snacks, private bathroom, etc. There's plenty of parking space. Communication with Jeff was perfect. he responded really quickly. We would also recommend the food of his restaurant. Best chinese meal we had in Amerika (and Belgium).

This was everything I expected and more. If perfectly suited my needs and the host was more than available. The place was right in the middle of the tourist-y spots while also feeling very secluded and private. The room was very clean and met all my needs. I liked it so much!

What a wonderful place in the perfect location! The hosts have done an amazing job remodeling this cottage. We enjoyed taking time to just look at all the thought and details that went into decorating the place. The balcony with the rocking chairs overlooking the river and bay was heaven both in the morning with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise and in the evening. It is steps away from all that downtown Apalachicola has to offer including the shops, restaurants, and river/bay. It is an absolutely perfect place to stay for the annual Running for the Bay marathon as it is only right around the corner to the start/finish line. The host, Susan, was the most responsive and helpful host ever! Great place, great host, great vacation!
