Valerie is a wonderful host with a beautiful property, immaculately kept. She was very swift in responding to any queries, extremely accommodating and very understanding when there was a mix up on our side! We have had three different bookings with Valerie and wouldn't want to stay anywhere else if we were in the area again. I couldn't recommend this property highly enough.

Space is lovely with amazing location right by the beach

Would very highly recommend a visit to this beautiful apartment. It is finished to a high spec, clean, warm and very comfortable. The 'piece de resistance' is the incredible view from the living room window - no other entertainment needed. The host, Valerie, is very accommodating and laid out a warm welcome for us. She kept in contact before and during our visit to ensure we had every detail required, letting us know that she was very happy to help with anything at all. The property is located in a rural village so I would recommend to bring a car. It's quite close to many attractions including newgrange, tayto park, and towns of Dundalk and Drogheda just to name a few. We had three kids aged 12, 10 & 5 who loved their stay. We will definitely return here again and highly recommend to everyone.

Miroslav and Simone were fantastic friendly hosts. They were very accommodating of my travel plans, which made things very easy for me. The house is very accessible, being just 5mins off the M1. The room was spacious, clean, tidy and bright. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The host will exceed your expectations. The small touches make a difference. So homely. I am from Malaysia so staying in Dundalk against Dublin makes a lot of difference. Not to mention the view in Blackrock was amazing!

A great place, perfect for our requirements. There was a lovely selection of food items provided-bread, cereals, milk, butter & a fully stocked tea cupboard! We even got to meat the family pets, 2 cats and a dog! Would certainly recommend this as a place to stay and will return in the future!

We spent 3 nights at Brigitte's Granny Flat in Blackrock. It's the perfect location to see much of Northern Ireland! Brigitte had the refrigerator stocked with food items, including eggs, milk, rashers/bacon & a lovely little fruit tray! The bedroom was so nice, bed very comfortable. Bathroom with nice deep bath & shower, best of all washcloths! We stayed in 3 other locations during our 12 days in Ireland & not a single one had washcloths! Go stay with Brigitte, you won't regret it! I might add she did all this for our stay while also having to deal with a sick family member.

Brigitte's Granny flat is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. In a vary quiet safe neighbourhood with an easy walk to Blackrock beach,shops, restaurants and pubs. Brigitte is the perfect host, providing plenty of local attractions and information. Lovely choice for breakfast. Would definately recommend.

I loved this place. Clean, spacious and a perfectly located recliner for reading and looking out to sea and mountains. All the local attractions were easy to get to including shopping, cinemas, water park and even a day trip into Belfast. I loved the peace and quite and evening strolls on the beach. A perfect spot for us ❤️

We had a great stay at Miriam. The apartment is clean and very cozy. The view of the Irish Sea is breathtaking. It feels good and soothed to observe the coming and going of the tides.

We stayed 3 nights at Maria and Gerry's house and enjoyed it a lot. Gerry prepared a lovely breakfast every morning and told us a lot about the region and irish culture. The room was really nice and had everything needed. Definitely recommendable!

A short but delightful one night stay at this place as we had a wedding in the area. We found it to be welcoming, cosy and clean. The communication was great throughout and Gerry was really friendly and helpful with tips and advice about the local area. Breakfast was lovely in the morning.

Wish we had given ourselves more time to explore the area around this cute cottage stay. The cottage itself was tricky to find in the dark but Mark's instructions were invaluable and he always responded really quickly! Nice touches like milk, bread and eggs very much appreciated. Suggest taking some DVDs if you like a quiet night in, on the cosy sofas with the electric fire on as TV signal intermittent (no fault of the host of course!) Hot tub really enjoyable and Mark quick to come pop it on for us.

We stayed at Glebe cottage for 3 nights. Mark's attention to detail via message before our arrival provided the information we needed for a hassle free check-in. On arrival, milk, bread and eggs were left for us which was a pleasant surprise. The cottage had everything we needed and we couldn't have asked for a more peaceful and laid back stay. The hot tub was our main reason for booking Glebe cottage and it did not disappoint. Thank-you Mark and family, we will definitely be back!

Ideal location both private and quiet but conveniently close to the motorway. Maria is a wonderful host and knowledgeable about the area. We spent our first two nights in Ireland here. Absolutely wonderful location that is close to everything. There is a very well-stocked store and a fantastic restaurant downstairs. Niall was a fantastic host with great response time. Definitely would stay here again!

The location of this Airbnb is fabulous. Close to many local shops and services and right across from the beach. Lots of room. There were 4 adults in our party. The beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!

Niall was an outstanding host and the location can’t be beat. The village has all of the necessary amenities and the restaurants are delicious. The house is spacious and exactly as the post describes, right on the beachfront. I would stay at Niall’s place again.

This is well situated in the middle of the seafront, with easy access to pubs and shops, especially the bakery. We relaxed before our international trip home to Australia, and found the beach ideal for our little 18 month old niece. playground was within walking distance as well. The view from upstairs was great. We were able to prepare and cook our own food which was wonderful after being on the road for so long.

Niall was very helpful with every question. the apartment was as advertised and worked out better than expected. the locals are quite welcoming. Make sure to visit the Clermont Arms for a pint and some fantastic food. Would definitely use this location again.

We stayed at Bonnet Lodge as we were attending a wedding at Darver Castle. The house was beautifully renovated and in a great location - only 10 mins walk to the beach and local cafes. Ruth was a fantastic host, really thoughtful and provided some lovely little extras which made us feel so welcome. Would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area!

The pictures being shown do not do this place justice. The place was prefect, very comfortable and just had this home feel. We all felt right at home as soon as we walked in. It was great to have an enclosure for us and the dogs and the little area outside was great to sit and watch them run around the garden. It is a beautiful place and only a 7 minute walk outside the village. If we knew it was going to be that good we would have stayed longer. Would 100% be back :)

Lovely bungalow in an ideal location for exploring. The kids loved the games that were left, as well as the DVDs. We loved the stove and the comfy sofas and the relaxation on a chilly winter's evening. The Centra a minute's walk away was a bonus, handy to pick up the milk that was forgotten in the shop for provisions!

Very nice stay in a beautiful house. The fireplace was on and the house was neat and clean. The house is very complete and there is also plenty to do for the children.

Rachel’s apt was a very comfortable and clean apartment and it was very tastefully decorated. She left lovely local treats for us on arrival which was very thoughtful. Her instructions were clear to her apartment however the difficulty I had was to get parked as the space that was allocated was always full out of Rachel’s hands. We had a wonderful stay at Ann's. The house is fantastic - there is so much space especially when you are there with alot of kids! The grounds are so inviting - you can spend all your days just wandering the enchanted forested areas and other unique features like the walled garden and the tiny island on the lake. The kids loved the gigantic trampoline and the friendly sheep! We only left the grounds once for an epic coastal walk 15 minutes drive away (with great fish 'n chips shops at either end of the walk). We were there during the winter and the house was so warm and toasty unlike other similar castle accommodation we've stayed at over the years. Ann was the perfect host and made everything very easy from start to finish - we're now planning our winter return!

Our stay at Barmeath Castle exceeded expectations in every way! More than enough room for 3 families visiting together, with endless fun around the grounds to keep the kids busy all day (ages 1 to 14). The farm and gardens were truly a delight for us all, and we enjoyed many special meals together in the enormous kitchen. Ann was a spectacular host -- it was a wonderful visit!

Barmeath Castle : Simply Awesome We had booked the entire castle for a family holiday. Ann is an outstanding host and went well beyond the call of duty to make sure we had a great time. Barmeath Castle was built in the 1600s. We stayed in the original “long house “. The castle is surrounded by an incredible garden. Go to Barmeath if you are looking for a slice of history preserved in time and served with a generous dose of warm hospitality. Do make time for a tour of the castle with Lord Bellew - it’s a must do !!

Ann’s place exceeded all expectations and I can only say that the whole experience was truly magical and memorable . The gardens were beautiful and every aspect of them offered a different vista and flavour . We really didn’t want to leave . We were there for a sad occasion but the house and the people we met turned our trip into a time that will stay with us for ever . Thank you

A beautiful spacious cottage, clean and fresh and so close to the sandy beach. A minor problem with internet access was rapidly dealt with by Aisling. The Smugglers restaurant was excellent for a meal too. Breakfast is excellent at the nearby Forge Farm cafe.

We were staying at this cottage with our 3 children over mid term. It was the perfect base to explore the area and visit Tayto Park and Funtasia. The cottage was spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. Would highly recommend a visit.

The Buttercup Cottage is located in a remote village outside Drogheda. While getting to and from was a little more work than other Airbnb’s it still offered up a unique charm. The Thatch Building was charming...it was stylish and very comfortable. I would say due to its remoteness I was way more relaxed here than any other location on our European holiday. We savoured the day taking a long scenic walk along the coast. It was really special. The folks living in Clogherhead were kind, genuine and helpful. I really did enjoy this Airbnb! Thank you

The cottage is fabulous. The bedrooms are spacious but still retaining the cottage feel. Having the garden at the back was great for the kids and being a 5 minute walk from such a lovely beach was brilliant too. There are a few nice restaurants in walking distance too (wish we had booked in advance as the pizzeria was fully booked). We really enjoyed our stay and Aisling was a super host.

This is a wonderful place to stay. We happened upon Apple Cottage while looking for family accommodation not too far from the airport. For our family with young children, the cottage was just a thousand times better than staying at a family room at an airport hotel (room to spread out! a garden for the kids to play in! donkeys and a trout river to visit on a stroll! a well-equipped kitchen to make food in!). The beds are very comfortable with high-quality bedding and pillows. Mark and his parents are friendly and professional hosts.

Mark's cottage is lovely. It was very neat,clean and comfortable. The cottage was ideally situated for the wedding we attended in Castlebellingham. Mark communicated promptly and was there when required.

Warm and lovely house in a beautiful village.

It is a very homey, stylish house with good location. Very near to the motorway, good for driving to other places. The host responded very well and tried her best to make arrangement to suit my needs as we were arriving late. The host's family members also welcomed us in person and taught us how to use the facilities in the house.

Big comfy beds and the fridge / cupboards stocked with a few basics to get you started. Walking distance to shops, cafe , local bars and Bellingham Castle. Nearby petrol station also. Good wifi coverage.

This cosy cottage is a great little getaway to enjoy the countryside. Quiet and private, spacious and clean. Stephen is very quick with communication and check in/out is really easy. The cottage is not difficult to find and Stephen’s directions were excellent. The nearby beach is a beautiful place for walking and is only a 15 minute drive to get there. We would definitely go back if we visit that area again.

Very nice cottage in a rural spot. We used it as a base to do Listoke Gin School, which is about 3kms away, and it worked a treat!

Spent two nights here on wet and windy evenings in February, the cottage was absolutely idyllic. Despite the weather, the cottage was lovely and cozy and quiet throughout our stay. Very close to commute to Drogheda/Dundalk. Will definitely be returning in the summer months!

We really enjoyed our stay in Stephen's house. It's a fantastic little escape away, and feels very spacious with its double height living area. It's very warm and cozy. We will definitely return for more stays, can't recommend it highly enough.

The room was Susan perfect for our needs, she kindly agreed that we had our cat with us so as not to bring in a cattery after 30 hours travel. We had our independence through our room near the entrance, and a bunch of games! His house is tastefully decorated and is located in Blackrock, very pretty village whose seafront with restaurants and small stores is barely 5 min walk. Susan was also very information available to us and we were a great help to find an apartment there! It is a person of extreme kindness and very attentive to others! She also left us his kitchen is available to cook something for dinner! Thanks again! We keep very good memories of this stay!

Marks place is fab, we stayed as we had a wedding in bellingham castle, the cottage is close to the castle. The beds were so comfy and it was warm and cosy, with a fab shower in the ensuite. My only regret is we wernt staying a second night so we could enjoy the space a bit more. Would defo recommend.

A beautiful house in a stunning setting. The interior is so stylish and comfortable. Set in the grounds of Bellingham Castle which has to be seen to be appreciated. The perfect place to stay, especially if you're at a wedding/event in Castle Bellingham, only a few minutes walk from the castle.

The Mews house provided a fantastic stop-off on our way to and from a holiday in the South of Ireland. It is a wonderful property, beautifully converted and furnished - and the grounds were just delightful for walking our two dogs after the long car journeys. We didn't meet Mark but were looked after very well by Bernie and by Mark's parents - all of whom couldn't have been more welcoming. Thanks so much, we would definitely book again or recommend highly to a friend.

Fiona's house is beautiful and welcoming, just off the beach. We were late in arriving and Fiona was very gracious and explained where she left the key for us and how to get in. The weather was quite rainy and stormy while we were there, and it was lovely to snuggle down in her cozy house while listening to the waves and the wind howling. She has many thoughtful touches and amenities such as books and dvds.

Delightful place to stay. You can see and hear the ocean from the house. Nice village, great location.

Photos don't do it justice. Super homely large open plan eating cooking space with cosy extra couch room off it. Really bright and airy. Large private garden nice for eating out and toys for younger kids. Beach 50 metres walk away. Its like your own private beach. Found baby starfish on it! Ice creams can be bought on the beach and hours of fun on the soft clean sand. Super safe for babies and toddlers. The fish n chips are well worth going to the harbour for. Only an hour from Dublin. Felt like we were miles away. Loads of parking. Made for a v easy holiday. Really relaxing break. Fiona always easy to reach. Didn't meet her but communicated quickly and easily by text and email. Really friendly.

We really enjoyed Fiona's house. Everything was spot on, extra clean. 2 minutes walk to the beach. Nice back garden, plenty of space. We took our dog with us and he was extremely happy. Great food nearby. I fully recommend and we will definitely be back there.

A lovely house in a beautiful location. Very comfortable and spacious rooms. A cosy second sitting room and very comfortable lounge/dining room. Very warm and bright house with easy access to the lovely sandy beach. Great local pub, a very enjoyable walk across the headland to the harbour where there is an amazing fish shop serving chowder, and a fish and chip van and a coffee shop. Everyone we met was so welcoming and friendly. There are so many places to visit in the area including the New grange monuments and Carlingford and lots of lovely villages.

Very cozy and authentic Irish cottage experience. Susan is a very gracious host and provides lots of extras like fresh bread and other bakery items, creamery butter, jam, etc.

Great apartment for exploring local area. Ideally suited to a couple. I stayed with two small kids which it was good for too. Susan has thoughtfully left out some essentials for us on arrival, and the apartment is very well kitted out with all that you could need.

What a lovely, cosy cottage. Susan was so warm and welcoming and had an eye for the extra little touches that make all the difference. Plenty of hot water when needed, efficient heating, a lovely bathroom and lots of homely touches around the house. We would stay again and recommend it to others. Thanks Susan!

Beautifully decorated cottage central to town. Susan is a warm and welcoming host and helpful with info on where to go. Cottage was wonderfully stocked with bread and jam and butter. So thankful for this lovely cozy space.

Susan's place is spacious and comfortable with a separate lounge room. The apartment is decorated in period style with an Irish touch. I particularly enjoyed the views of the garden and surrounding countryside and the large TV.

Susan's cottage is very quaint and charming. We had a lovely, relaxing stay. She kindly provided fresh rolls and buns on arrival. It's a great location for touring the nearby beaches, would recommend a visit to Port Oriel headland to other travellers. I would highly recommend Susan's home.

Anna’s place by the sea is a piece of heaven on earth, combining true simplicity with pure beauty. We enjoyed and inspired by it. Our children spent hours in the yard with the great “fairy-trees” and on the beautiful beach. Port Oriel and Clogherhead are also truly special. We all had an unforgettable experience. Many thanks!

We had a great stay at Anna’s cottage. The beach is like 50m away from the terrace and you have an unobstructed view on the sea. The cottage is lovely and the local pubs are in walking distance. Don’t miss to buy fresh fish at the harbor which is an hour of hiking away from the cottage. The directions are on the dining table in the cottage. We had minor technical issues with the gate which were, however, solved by Anna within a moment. We could reach her every time we needed something. Thank you, again!

It was a very nice time in Emers accommodation. The accommodation was very big and cozy. The area around Clogherhead is very nice and quiet, perfect for relaxing. The beach is beautiful and you can even see it from the apartment. Emer is a very nice and helpful host. She provided us with very helpful directions for trips and helped us with problems with our rental car.

A quaint spacious beach chalet. Clogher Cove is private and safe. The beach is a stones throw away and is delightfully uninhabited other than the sea life. My children have had a great week in and out of the water and examining the rock pools. The rain did not deter them in the slightest. We have had a very relaxing time here with lots of running, swimming and reading. We all feel better for it.

Great house, great location....and luckily great weather. House is lovely, loads of space. We were delighted that we could walk into the village via the beach. The back veranda is lovely and private and we spent many hours sitting on the back deck looking out at the view. Lots and lots to see and do in Co. Louth. Would definitely come back again.
