We have long since wished there were easy ways to escape our busy city lives and retreat into a magical, beautiful and peaceful space that feels like another world. This idea eventually evolved into a mission to build with our own hands Melbourne's very own magical sanctuaries, and to share it with the rest of the world. We love imagining what we could create, to build, and to share them with the world through hosting. We constantly think about how to make our creations bring even greater sense of joy and wonder, and not about how much it'll cost us. We're genuinely excited and happy to host each new guest, to hear about what they love about our creations, and what we could do to make it even better. We have built and opened our first instalment of Melbourne's hidden sanctuary, which we lovingly refer to as "Heaven & Earth". We have plans to make it even better, as well as other ideas for other worlds we want to try building for our next instalments. All Melbourne's CBD attractions are within easy walking distance—you can reach Flinders Station, Federation Square, and the Yarra River in five minutes. Degraves Street is a three-minute walk, and Hardware Lane restaurants are six minutes away.

You'll be in the centre of it all.
    The freshly renovated apartment has everything you'll need to stay comfortably and safely in the heart of Melbourne. The space is clean and practical, with phone chargers, storage, and lots of coat hangers. It is particularly suitable for music lovers, with a guitar and a record player for guests to enjoy.
    Swanston Street includes many landmarks including the State Library of Victoria, the Capitol Theatre, Federation Square, and RMIT University.

Easy to find, great location, easy access, clean, lots of little extra’s such as; cell phone charging cords, universal plugs, lots of towels, face clothes, things that you may need, but forgot to pack. Some may find the street noise abit loud for sleeping at times, I did not, but, she even has ear plugs there for you. I would highly recommend 👍

    This beautiful studio apartment has been recently renovated and is ideally located in Fitzroy within walking distance to Melbourne CBD. It is ideal for a single person or a couple. The apartment is on the first floor of a small block of units (18 in total) surrounded by greenery. Our studio apartment (approximately 32m2) is tastefully decorated and has a large window overlooking Napier Street which gets lovely morning light.
    Fitzroy is one of the most exciting and vibrant neighbourhoods in Melbourne. Our apartment is located just off Gertrude Street, between Brunswick Street and Smith Street, all which offer some of the most interesting cafes, restaurants, bars, galleries and shops in town.

  • Really delightful and charming! The place is small, but there are all sorts of space saving storage places. We had a ton of luggage and were fine. The neighborhood is very charming, great location. Really clean building as well. We loved staying here, only issue was the slow WiFi. Oh well, nobodies perfect.

  • We had a great stay at Kate and Has’s apartment. The location is perfect for discovering Fitzroy and a stones throw from the tram for exploring further. The space is ideal for 2, we didn’t use the kitchen area as there are too many good food options right on the door step! The communication with the agents was really easy when needing to leave our bags at the office in the city and they were also able to get us checked in earlier than scheduled. We provide Breakfast with a selection of Cereal, Yogurt & Artisan bread. The Guest lounge has big comfy sofas. Flinders Lane has Galleries, Boutiques, fabulous Restaurants & Bars; a safe and exciting neighbourhood. Perfect location to stay for Travellers & there are also facilities for Board meetings & Presentations.
    We live in a spacious and light-filled warehouse, furnished with French provincial furniture and Contemporary Art. The building was a Fashion House, converted to Apartments in the '90s; it has very high ceilings with Architectural details defining the space, the bathrooms have an industrial edge with stainless steel fit out. We have comfy sofas for when you need to relax with a coffee or a glass of wine after a busy day of work or sightseeing.
    The area of Flinders Lane has a history of Fashion and Art for over a century; the area has changed over the last 2 decades, tho' it has always remained edgy, Boutiques, Galleries and now fabulous foodie Restaurants, there are also several Live music venues and Bars tucked away in Laneways throughout the city.

  • I wrote an extensive review about my last stay here back in May 2019 so feel free to check that out. This time around I stayed from 5th to 9th February 2020. As with my last visit, it’s a wonderful experience staying with Bronwyn, Michael and their furry child Chai. So great to meet Michael in person this time too! Their super spacious warehouse apartment has everything you could ask for, plus the very central location in the city makes getting to the major local sights and CBD shopping / eating districts a breeze. I also really appreciated the complimentary continental breakfast that was so thoughtfully laid out the night before. This gave me a good energy boost at the start of the day as this time I ventured a bit further out and caught more trams - note that Melbourne is quite flat and very easy to get around on foot, which I mostly did during my last visit. Thank you for your warm and gracious hospitality as always.

  • I spent five wonderful days here. The location of the apartment is really amazing, in the heart of the city center. From here, it is very convenient to go anywhere. The house is the same as the pictures look like an art gallery, full of art atmosphere. Living here, has the private room and the bathroom, also can use Brown's kitchen, open kitchen, the tableware is very complete. Brown & Michael, They are very enthusiastic and made me feel very warm. They also gave me some very convenient and useful tour advice. There are extra services, a hearty breakfast, a bottle of wine, a transit card, washer, and dryer, and can store luggage for a while. They are really considerate for the guests. If you want a deep experience of Melbourne's life, come here ! Brown loves food,if she has time, you can cook with her. I'll come again next time. The building is safe and secure-ideal for business travelers (within quick and easy reach of the CBD), solo travelers and couples visiting Melbourne. I am a busy professionist but will do everything I can to make your visit as enjoyable as possible and I am always contactable if I am not at home.
    I live in a quiet 2 bed apartment in a safe and secure building. You will be sharing my beautiful apartment with me. My guests will have the master bedroom. I have been told that the bed is heaven to sleep on! Your bedroom has a built in wardrobe with lots of hanging space (perfect for people staying longer periods), shelves as well as a personal safe in your bedroom for extra piece of mind. Your lovely bedroom has had a makeover by a designer. You have beautiful 1000 thread count Designers Guild linen and towels. There is a fantastic heating system as well as air conditioning as well as another separate heater and cooling system for your room so you can be as comfortable as possible. I have also provided you with a hairdryer and the essentials such as shower gel, shampoo and conditioner etc etc as well as tea, coffee, fruit and bread for toast.
    I live in a fantastic area in Melbourne. I am incredibly close to the City being located on St Kilda rd. Albert Park lake is across the road. The Alfred Hospital is a 5 minute walk. Chapel street is walking distance as well as Fawkner Park, St Kilda beach etc etc. My building is safe and secure and requires swipe access to give guests that extra bit of peace of mind. Car parking is available on the surrounding streets but there are some restrictions. However, there are a number of secure car parks in the surrounding buildings which offer competitive priced long or short term parking solutions if you are traveling to us by car.
  • Elia was the perfect host - very attentive and helpful. He was lovely in every way and I felt like I was staying with a friend rather than someone I'd never met before. We had really interesting and most enjoyable conversations. Elia's positive and jovial nature is infectious and he made me feel comfortable instantly - he's just simply a pleasure to be around. When all the events I visited Melbourne for were cancelled due to the corona virus, he offered me dinner and an Uber ride at his expense to make up for the disappointment of the cancellations. It was a very generous and lovely gesture that instantly lifted my spirits. Thank you, Elia! :)

  • Lovely place. Good location. There are 4 or 5 tram routes that go into the city from Moubray St stop. Elia is a very friendly host, he will help you whenever he can. It was really nice staying in this house for a week. The location is fine and not in the middle of the city. I didn't feel that the public transportation was inconvenient because there were 4 tramway passes in front of my house. Elia is a very friendly host! The house is clean and good ~

The apartment has everything you could possibly need during your stay, including a well equipped kitchen, washing machine and dryer. Communication was very good, check in was very easy and the location is prefect. Walking distance from the beach, Albert park, supermarket and cafes and restaurants and the tram stop. Fantastic location, accomodation very comfortable and clean, and the hosts always responded quickly to messages and were very accomodating. The apartment is within easy walking distance to many cafes and shops, and there was also lots of public transport nearby that meant we didn't need to rent a car for either of our stays. The balcony is huge and a really nice little sanctuary, it’s like having another room. It’s an open plan studio apartment with all amenities for a great family holiday, or a business trip. Pool facilities plus a gym available for use. The BBQ can be used (on the balcony) :) Enjoy Netflix, or cook.

There were lots of great places to eat close by, Coles and Woolies a few doors down and Flinders Station is directly opposite The apartment was very clean and tidy and nicely decorated. Don't be put off by the fact that says Uni Accommodation. I am nearly 50yrs old and in Melbourne for work. The other tenants were very quiet and kept to themselves. Being in the heart of Melbourne it was a bit noisy from the street until about 11:30pm as the windows are not double glazed, but very quiet after that. I would definitely recommend Tom's place for a stay in Melbourne.

Our 36 sqm studio with lofty ceilings has a Queen bed, kitchenette, lounge area and bathroom. Cafes, parks and the famous South Melbourne market are within 1km. Public transport is only 150m from the door and there is ample on street parking. Public transport provides direct access to St Kilda (10 min), the Arts Centre precinct (8 min), the CBD (12 min), Carlton (20 min) and Fitzroy (25 min).
    The space is quiet, bright and airy and surrounded by greenery. It is perfectly located to explore the most livable city in the world "Melbourne" either by foot, car or the easily accessible tram or light rail transport.
    Where we are situated in South Melbourne is unique as we are close to the Albert Park village strip full of shops, restaurants, cafes and wine bars; Port Melbourne Bay Street shopping and restaurant precinct and the South Melbourne Park Street and Clarendon Street shopping area. Added to this we are within walking distance of Middle Park and Albert Park beaches, the South Melbourne market, Albert Park Lake and the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC). The city of Melbourne is also only three kilometres from the Studio. We are surrounded by buses and trams. The most useful tram close to the Studio is the No 1 South Melbourne beach tram which runs between the South Melbourne beach and the city via the Melbourne Arts precinct. The other useful tram is the No 96 St Kilda beach tram which runs between the St Kilda beach and Carlton via the city. The neighbourhood is also a pleasure to explore by walking with its wide tree lined streets, the historic Victorian, Edwardian and Federation homes, numerous parks and proximity to the beach.

Ideal location, walking distance to Port Melbourne beaches, Albert Park and CBD, also close to tram stops. A folder of information provided with details of local amenities and maps, very helpful. We had booked to stay to attend the 2020 Grand Prix. When the event was cancelled our hosts were in touch immediately to offer assistance with making alternative plans so as not to spoil our enjoyment whilst in Melbourne. We highly recommend this accommodation and will definitely stay again on our next trip.

This appartment is in the centre of everything with nothing to far away. Tram lines around the corner with free rides around the city however most places are easy to walk to. Bill has put really thoughtful touches in for when you arrive. We had milk provided, cereal, shampoo conditioner and shower gel, laundry detergent and teas and coffees to get us off to a good start. Bill also leaves a whole host of instructions for you on the table telling you really useful information. Bill is very quick at responding, friendly and a great host. This apartment is clean and trendy with amazing views of Melbourne. If you want to stay at a place with a great location, great host and hassle free stay this is the place.

    Welcome :) My home is comfortable, has lots of natural light, beautiful and spacious living area, large relaxing balcony and simply a nice comfortable home. It is an ideal location in Port Melb - close to the beach (2 min walk), Bay St (1 min walk) and tram 109 to the city (5 min walk, 10 min ride to the city).
    I understand some people who are already in Melbourne may need a safe place to stay at the moment. This place is perfect. I've got hand sanitiser and clean every day.
    Port Melbourne is a small, friendly community by the beach. Very close to the city but much less crowded. You can walk to get take away coffee, there are nice spacious (uncrowded) parks to walk through for exercise, plus the beach walk/run is beautiful.

I travelled alone with 4 young kids and their villa is walking distance, so close to all amenities - minimart, eateries, Restaurants, south Melbourne Beach, library, shopping fashion outlets like Seed Heritage, County Road, ELK,Gorman & many more.... Walking 3mins to a small supermarket like GumTree where you can get quality groceries if you do not want to go too far, or a value for money mini-mart- FoodBank. Pharmacy is nearby and it was helpful when the little one caught a cold and I needed medication. This is also where you can TOP up the myki card too. We spent many days at the MSAC as the kids attended trainings and courses there. It was just minutes away. It was so helpful as they had early morning trainings. Tram 1 and Tram 96 takes to many Tourist Attractions. We went to Shopping in Bourke Street, Melbourne Museum, Collingwood Farm, DFO Outlet, St Kilda’s Beach (The Esplanade Sunday Market), or the see the penguins there, Melbourne Zoo all via Public Transport. It was so so convenient. It was either via straight tram or just a change of transport at Southern Cross Station. This place is excellent. I could not ask for more.
