Holiday rentals with a kayak in Russian River

Beautiful property inside and out, looks exactly like the pictures! The hosts are very responsive and will answer your messages within a few minutes. Pool and kitchen are AMAZING! Majority of our time was spent in/around the pool and cooking in the kitchen. The pool is very clean and well kept and it was warm throughout our entire stay. As someone who travels with cooking equipment whenever I know I’ll be cooking, I can also confirm that their kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to prepare meals (good quality too)! Note that there are no curtains in any room in the house. During the day, the views and natural light are beautiful! But in full transparency, it was pitch black at night and crept us out a little because we’re from the city, so we ended up buying thumbtacks and putting towels over the windows. To be clear, this was our personal experience, but it shouldn’t deter you from checking this place out. We had a great stay and would absolutely book again!

This place was so quiet, private and beautiful. We got to see a huge deer right next to the house! Great back deck where we spent a ton of time play games ans drinking wine...nice big kitchen, really comfy beds! It is a ways outside of town so a car is necessary and the road there is pretty curvy and dark at night. Cell service is limited out there, but the wifi worked well. Over all our stay was great and our host was very responsive. Would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful home! Clean rooms, Comfy beds, cool retro bathrooms, hot water always available. We (and the kids especially). lover the warm outdoor shower. The Kitchen is so well equipped but we made most of our meals on the grill on the back deck. We spent days watching and being on the river, fishing from shore, hot tubbing and grilling delicious meals. My 4 year old learned to ride a bike on their quiet street. We biked to Monte Rio beach and Lightwave cafe and skatepark easily (brought our own bikes). We saw a bald eagle and a harbor seal while we floated down the river! Thanks for a great stay, highly recommend. Important to know: all bedrooms have a sky light, that means the kids are up early. We enjoyed the early start, but if you dont then I suggest you bring blackout curtain or tent for the kids

Quiet friendly neighborhood. Great veiw from the porch woth birds all around. This place is aptly named: The Birdhouse!

We had such a great time!! The amenities were so amazing! Paddle boats, kayaks, stand up paddle boards, fishing poles were so amazing! We did not leave except to go to the bait and tackle store! It was amazing! They were so kind and attentive! we had a wonderful time

We had a great stay here! The water was unfortunately too rough for kayaking, but we had a good time fishing on the doc! The view was beautiful and we enjoyed hanging out on the balcony!

This was our second stay. The only challenging part is having to leave. This place is secured/gated, serene, all amenities and extras you need in one space. The beautiful sunrise and sunsets right off the water- magical. Took lots of pics that we can frame ourselves. Beautiful nature setting right outside your door. This go round we really enjoyed watching the mama duck with her ducklings walking around.

The cabin is a great place to get away from busyness of the city life. I particularly liked the relaxing water front atmosphere. Wish we could enjoy more of what the place has to offer but we needed to leave earlier than planned. Jason and Elaine are exceptionally kind and communicative!

We had a great stay at the Waterfall house. The location can't be beaten; it's secluded, the views are great and it is within walking distance from all of the Jenner hot spots :) Baked goods and drinks from Cafe Aquatica were the perfect way to start our mornings. We also had a great time kayaking on the river with the seals! The kitchen was stocked well enough for all of our needs as a group of 5, and the porch and deck spaces were great for hanging out. The sofa bed wasn't super comfortable but it was good enough for our needs. The other beds were all very comfortable and we slept well! The hosts at the Jenner Inn were super responsive and helpful. We'd definitely stay here again!

A Perfect, Peaceful Escape Martine’s lakefront cabin is magic. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the peaceful setting and thoughtful touches throughout the space. The view of the lake is absolutely stunning—calm, serene, and just steps from the cabin, with your very own pier (one of the best parts!). Whether you’re sipping coffee on the deck in the morning or watching the sunset reflect off the water, every moment feels like a postcard. The cabin itself is beautifully kept and full of warmth and personality. Martine was a gracious and attentive host. Her love for this place is contagious, and it’s easy to see why. Our children didn't want to leave - and neither did we! If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat filled with charm and soul, this is it.

Our stay at Lucky Bend Lookout was absolutely a dream. I wish I could stay on the porch overlooking the river (with redwoods right on the property!) forever. Despite the space being somewhat small for 8 adults, it was so well-appointed and with so many bonus outdoor spaces that it didn't feel that way. Sarah went out of her way to ensure we understood the details in the listing and had all the info we'd need in advance. The house was very clean, and well-stocked with the essentials. Nothing super fancy but it very much did the job. Hopefully I can come back sometime in the summer when the dock is installed.

High recommend - this place was very beautifully furnished and efficiently laid out, felt bigger than it is. Plenty of space for 2 adults and two young adults inside plus a spacious outdoor deck. Super comfortable place, exactly as described. Linens and beds very comfortable, delightful and plentiful table ware which is not always the case. The host was very proactive with details on how to access the keys and that lockbox codes expire at a specific time which was very helpful. Also great to have kayak and paddleboards available too. Loved it.

If you are looking for a cozy space where you can wake up, walk down a few flights of stairs and be in the water, this is it. It is clean, cozy and wonderful. They have one kayak, which we used and appreciated (bring a second kayak so you can cruise around together - or some inner tubes). The only challenge is parking. There is one parking spot and our Tahoe was sticking out into the road a bit (we almost drove off the cliff trying to make it work). We highly recommend.

Very cute and clean cabin. Morning coffee on the upper deck seeing the sunrise was amazing. Only Negitive was the Lake Flys at night . But would stay again !

We had the most special weekend with friends at Britta’s house! It’s such a cozy property with incredible views of the river. Everything was exactly as described and perfectly clean. Being able to just walk down to the river and enjoy our morning coffee there was such a treat. And the proximity to downtown Healdsburg and wineries made it a great location for all of our weekend activities. Britta and Blake were extremely responsive and great to communicate with too. If you’re considering this property, don’t hesitate - it’s truly such a beautiful escape from the city and we can’t recommend it enough!

The courtyard and hot tub really made the space for us. It felt like an outdoor living room. We even made s'mores by the open fire. We enjoyed sitting in our private hot tub till late in the night. I'm not sure why i had the impression that this was a 1 bedroom but it was a studio (as described). That said it's more appropriate for a couple or a young family vs a small group who might want to have the ability to close a door and separate their sleeping spaces. I went with my 5 year old daughter and friend. The big king bed was very comfortable but the sleeper sofa was not so much. We ended up putting the sleeper sofa mattress on the ground and this created the stability needed for a good nights sleep for my friend who slept on it. The ability to use the pool was a big plus. We arrived on a Thursday night and unfortunately the Rio Nido Lodge pool closed at 6pm and the restaurant closed by 8pm so we enjoyed lunch and pool there on Friday during the day. The Lodge served food till 10.

A cozy private room and comfortable bed with desk and closet space in a pleasant little house on a hillside. Friendly and accommodating host, and the company of a well-behaved dog and a pair of sociable cats. Definitely recommend.

We stayed at Otter House for a month in the Spring of 2025. We felt at home from the get-go. Tom was extremely responsive to our questions and needs (he even delivered an Amazon package to us after he let us have them send it to his address!) The house is very comfortable, well-appointed and peaceful. He lives nearby and given the length of our visit, there were some maintanance issues that came up ( hot tub, gardening, routine work around the house) and he always asked if it was ok to carry these out. In the house, there were pamphlets about things to do that let us dive into the area quickly. The yard IS fenced in as described, but would not hold a small dog in. The area is lovely and it was grand to have the time to explore Villa Grande and surrounds. We would stay again in a heart beat.....
