Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Roscommon

A group of mums and kids (age 6-11) had a fabulous stay. The house is perfect for a group or large family. The house was perfectly set up with lots of amenities in the kitchen so we were able to cook proper meals. The garden was great for the kids. The area had a lot of places to visit though would recommend having a car as the house is a little way from pubs and restaurants. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at Caroline and Patrick's! Even though the weather wasn't great, there was so much for us and the kids to do! The pool was fantastic, basketball, tennis, etc- something for all of us. The house was spotless and we had everything we needed. The bed linen was so soft and the mattresses very comfortable. The indoor fire was also very special. We were so grateful for our stay, and can't wait to visit again! Simply can't recommend enough!

we completely fell in love with Ardeevin, it was pretty local to family, gorgeous area and the house itself was beautiful. Francis was a wonderful host ( and his mam) and we will definitely be back!

We asked several questions prior to our arrival and Tanya was very prompt and helpful. John was there to greet us (despite us arriving early), we had a lovely warm welcome and John ensured we knew how we could contact him if need be.

We had a great stay at David's place. It is a comfortable house with 3 bedrooms which is really handy for family with kids. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, although we decided to eat most of the time at the hotel restaurant which is very handy and just next door + with great facilities (restaurant, pool etc.)

Another excellent stay at this lovely place. Such a beautiful home with everything you need . Anne is excellent host - I wouldn’t stay anywhere else now I have found this gem of a place.

This house definitely has to be one of the best locations for a property, down a quiet country lane with a private pier onto Lough Ree, it was breathtaking! Judith was so lovely to deal with and quick at responding to messages. They left us clear directions for using all of the items in the house and we had a lovely time. Perfect house to bring doggos and kids. We had our kayaks and SUPS to make use of the lake and were able to watch the sunset from the pier, a perfect weekend. We'll definitely be saving this house for future trips! Thanks so much Chris & Judith!

Michael et son épouse sont de bons hôtes. Très réactifs et serviables! L arrivée et le départ sont très faciles à organiser. La maison est fidèle à la description, au centre de l irlande, loin de tous les tracas des villes! Le pub d a côté est tres chouette aussi!!!

Rusty’s place is perfect for a midlands break. The apartment has stunning views over the river Shannon, with so much wildlife to see. The apartment is very safe and within walking distance to a lot of amenities. There is a play-park close by for children which is great and even closer to the apartment there is a wee music park along the banks of the Shannon. The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would recommend Rusty’s for a couple or a family.

I haven’t used Airbnb much after a bad experience but when Karen’s apartment came up on a search even though it wasn’t in our first choice location this being in Carrick on Shannon & we were looking for Sligo, I knew it would be ideal for our group & it was. The apartment was very clean & had everything you could want for both a weekend & much longer stay. Waking up overlooking the marina was a big plus. It was in a very convenient location being next door to a decent supermarket, cinema, restaurant, cafe, pub & only a 5 min walk to town. The town of Carrick on Shannon has so many great pubs & restaurants for a great night out it can’t be beaten. Karen the host was very flexible on check in times, extremely friendly & helpful with a wealth of knowledge of the area & some great recommendations. I will definitely be looking to book this place again & our group all agreed it was the best Airbnb any of us have stayed in. Thanks again Karen

I’m so grateful for our incredible stay at this absolutely charming cottage! The place felt like a warm hug—every little detail in the decor made it so cozy and inviting. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, and all the thoughtful amenities made our stay so comfortable. Stepping outside into that stunning nature was like a balm for the soul, perfect for our family’s slow-living escape. The hosts were beyond kind, always checking in with such warmth, making us feel so welcomed, like we were right at home. They treated us like family. Our kids were in love with sweet Hazelnut, the fluffiest, most gentle cat who became their best buddy. Aisling one of the host makes pottery and gave us little souvenir plates, so our kids will always remember this vacation. It was such a special time to recharge and make memories together, and we feel so lucky to have found this gem. One of the best stays we ever had. We’re already hoping to come back someday—thank you for everything!

Great to have this accommodation in the town, Boyle is a great town, friendly people, interesting history, heritage, good food and friendly local pubs and Christine’s place is in a great location to explore it all, thanks

We really enjoyed our stay here for 3 days. Ita was very friendly, helpful and pleasant. We really appreciated the extra level of attention to insuring a warm welcome and comfortable stay.

very spacious apartment had everything we needed. had washe dryer. shower took some manipulation to get temperature right. Kitchen dining and living room was private which was appreciated. Should have more cutelry we would gladly return

Another fabulous stay at Blaithin’s flat! I never get tired of that view of the Shannon River. Great bed, nice linens, everything clean, convenient, and relaxing. Thank you!!

Susan’s place was really outstanding, such a beautiful view of the marina with everything you could need or ask for in the apartment. The town centre was a short walk across the bridge and all of Susan’s recommendations were excellent. I couldn’t recommend her or her apartment enough.

We loved our stay the location is great you can easily walk to downtown Carrick and the pier is right across the street. The WiFi was reliable and fast and Chris was accommodating to our needs traveling with a baby. We noticed the bedroom near the street was a little noisy at times but it wasn’t a big deal. There is a little market downstairs that was great for grocery runs. We also loved driving 15 minutes to Lough Key park and Boyle Abby.

Great location in Carrik. 4 minute walk into town. Karen was great with instructions to enter apartment and exactly as described.

We were in Knockvicar to research our family roots so Anne's place was perfect because we could access all the local graveyards/Leitrim Heritage Centre, Ballinamore, Drumshabo music festival etc. Anne was super-helpful but also respected our privacy. She was there if needed. Loved her spacious kitchen, comfortable beds, extras left in the fridge for us on a very late arrival from Cork, esp milk and tea. Plenty of supplies in the bathroom and the place was spotless. We had two very peaceful/quiet nights of sleep and really enjoyed our stay in Knockvicar. Thank u Anne

Perfect place for a central stay in Carrick on Shannon, no frills but had everything we needed for our stay. We'll be back again.

Sehr nett und gemütlich eingerichtet, sehr sauber, Küche super ausgestattet, wunderschöne Terrasse in ruhiger Lage, sehr freundlicher Empfang, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

We had a great stay at Thomas’ place. Very close to the centre of the town and it was comfortable and cozy. Thomas was great host and would recommend this place to anyone visiting Carrick.

Beautiful home and location and excellent communication with the hosts, unfortunately didn't get to meet them but they are super friendly and hopefully see them next time. Highly recommend location and beautiful clean home with all amenities you need for a perfect stay.. Thank you Gerry and Leslie 👍
