Cabin holiday rentals in Roaring River

Exactly what my family needed to relax and recharge! The cabin was super clean at check in. It was also bigger than I expected and had plenty of space for us to spread out and relax. The views from the porch were breathtaking. Can't beat having coffee in the hot tub watching the sunrise. We enjoyed hiking, floating down the river and ended each night with s'mores around the campfire. The town was cute with lots of shops and great ice cream. Host was super responsive and gave detailed instructions prior to our visit. Quick to respond when I asked for local recommendations. Looking forward to coming back next year.

Both the cabin and location were absolutely beautiful! Tucked away and private, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to get away. The hot tub worked perfectly, and was very clean. Highly recommend!

Place was absolutely beautiful and we enjoyed the outside covered screened in porch. Such a great place to just relax and enjoy the family. I’m already trying to figure out when I can go again.

We had an amazing weekend at this cabin! It was spotlessly clean, with super comfortable beds that made for a great night's sleep. The view was absolutely stunning, and the peaceful, quiet surroundings made it the perfect place to relax and unwind with family. West Jefferson is the cutest little town—charming shops, great food, and just the right distance away. This cabin was everything we hoped for and more. Highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay! It was such a peaceful and secluded area. We enjoyed the sounds of the stream and bullfrogs in the evening. The cabin was PRECIOUS! We didn’t want to leave. ❤️

Lauren’s place was amazing! We enjoyed sitting by the fire at night and the kids loved the hot tub and ping pong table. Everything was clean and lots of chairs for the entire family. It is tucked back into the woods so it was quiet and peaceful. We also enjoyed watching several deer walk past a few times. I’m highly recommend Lauren’s cabin.

Kay's place was perfection. I took a mom and daughter trip to the A frame and it was even better in person. I loved the style of the house with the cozy and low key mountain theme decor. The house is nestled in a quiet spot amongst the trees and was so peaceful. We loved the hot tub, roasting marshmallows by the firepit and the cool dome outside. So many other touches like robes, towel warmers and everything you need. Made so many memories this trip! Close to downtown blowing rock where we went for pizza and ice cream the first night. Only 15 min to other spots like tweetie railroad, high gravity adventures where we did a kids course/zipline and Boone close by as well. We drove 20-25 min to sugar creek gem mine and the alpine rollercoaster a few doors down. So much to see close by but we will be back just to relax more at the house. Might be our new mountain home away from home now :) thanks Kay!

Really beautiful secluded spot right on the river. The cabin was perfect for camping, and the generator was a nice touch, although we only needed it a couple times. Privacy was great. We would definitely stay here again.

This place was great. Wonderful views. Private and quiet. Non-stop hummingbirds visiting the feeder on the deck.

Can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay! Richard is an excellent host who obviously wants his guests to have the best stay possible. Our personal favorites were the outdoor areas. The surrounding are so beautiful and peacful, and Richard's home provides a gazebo, porch with sofa, fire pit, and deck dining which we loved. If you want a cozy cabin in the mountains, Richard's place is for you!

Tranquil beautiful setting. We enjoyed sitting on the porch listening to a babbling Creek and enjoying the cool fresh Mountain Air. Enjoyed a stroll by the pond and watched the frogs and a chipmunks frolic. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Nicely furnished with comfortable seating and kitchen at all the needed amenities. Will definitely return again soon.

Great cabin! Very comfortable and serene. The waterfall was especially lovely to hear each day. Well stocked kitchen and overall home. Would definitely return!

Sitting within the peaceful hills right outside of Pilot Mountain, this cabin immediately stole my heart. The home was charming, clean, and very easy to settle into. The hosts were accommodating and friendly, which made the experience that much more pleasant. A Squirrels Paradise really made me feel at home, I never wanted to leave!

It was a really really wonderful place to get away from everything and just be. I used this time to write music and the acoustics in the church were just incredible. The sounds of the waterfall are so relaxing and the porch is the perfect place to enjoy your meals. Can’t wait to be back and can’t recommend enough!!!

We had a lovely stay at this charming cabin. It's the first place we've stayed where it felt similar to home. Everything was fantastic and it was nice to go to a place and find all the little things that make it so inviting. The kitchen is very well stocked for all your meals. Nice pans, spices, oil and all the things we use on a daily basis. The view is spectacular!

The host was fantastic—very friendly, responsive, and made the whole experience easy and enjoyable. This place takes you back in time. For me I enjoyed hearing the frogs at night. If you ever want to take the time to listen to nature, this is the place. Many memories from my childhood came back. LeeAnn was a great host. I even had the time to meet Penny. She loves ear scratches. I will definitely try to come back if I'm able to. Thank you again LeeAnn.

Adorable minimalist cabin in the woods. Very clean and well equipped will all the basic needs. No cooking implements, but Renée responded quickly to messages and allowed us to borrow a cast iron skillet so we could cook over the fire pit. The glass construction of the cabin is unique and fascinating - laying in bed and looking out and up at the trees and nature surrounding you - it’s primo luxury glamping!

This cabin is truly a gem! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking views and the peaceful presence of local wildlife. Every amenity was thoughtfully provided — from firewood and starter logs to a well-stocked coffee setup — making it one of the most well-equipped places we’ve ever stayed. But what truly sets this stay apart is Nicole’s attention to detail. The personalized welcome basket and handwritten card were such a warm and unexpected touch that instantly made us feel at home. This place is very peaceful and relaxing. Courtney built a guidebook that made everything about the stay straightforward and minimized the need to ask any questions. The place was clean and beautiful. Highly recommend.

My wife and I just wanted to get away for the father's day weekend. We found Madalyn's beautiful cabin located a few miles outside of Mt. Airy. The history behind how the cabin came to be was very impressive, and the inside of the cabin is immaculate. There is also a great old grain silo that has been converted into a burn pit with a chimnea, which was very impressive. It was raining, so my wife and I were able to build a small fire, and stay dry around the fire. Madalyn is also very extremely responsive, and responds back in a timely manner. My wife and I will definitely make a return stay in this charming cabin soon. I wish I could give more stars for Madalyn and her lovely cabin, she made this a great get-a-way for us.

Andrea went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. She was super kind. Our stay was memorable and her cabin is epic. It’s gorgeous, quaint, and cozy. We will be back!!
