On Strawberry Creek in Idyllwild's historic district, the Owl Pine Guest Cabin was built in 1922. It's the best of both worlds w/ plenty of nature (burbling creek, rock paths, trees, birds, mountain air, stars) + close to civilization (the property is near restaurants/shops). Native rock fireplace, hot tub, eclectic art, record collection/player, games, books, TV, Wifi, BBQ, fire pit hang deck. We have a chicken coop, happy to leave eggs at the cabin upon request. Located just a stone’s throw from Big Morongo Canyon Preserve, this dreamy hideaway offers a front row seat to 200+ species of migrating birds plus rabbits, squirrels and butterflies. Nestled on the hillside surrounded by a garden of cacti and succulents, guests can escape the cold, bustling city to enjoy morning sunrises sipping coffee on the patio and crisp evenings stargazing in the hot tub.

Morongo Modern: a Desert Hideaway on 12 Private Acres

Conveniently situated right off highway 62 and down a sanded desert road, the Morongo Valley House sits on a creosote-filled 12 acre lot. This cozy home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, an office with fast wifi and a day bed as well as a chef's kitchen. The inviting living room has a fireplace, games and a record player. Treetop Hideout is a classic alpine chalet perched high on the ridge overlooking Idyllwild village, surrounded by panoramic views of the San Jacinto mountains. This secluded, quiet little cabin is for all forest lovers, but would be most enjoyed by folks with an adventurous spirit (see Winter Access). You will be greeted with the stillness of the woods, sunrise + sunset views from two cantilevered balconies, all while wrapped in a cozy, luxurious interior.
